Vanessa Williams ( September 29 1999 - )
William was born to James and Helen Afton in Essex, England. James died in WW2 in 1944 when William was 6. Helen remarried in 1946 to a man by the name of George. George resented and was highly abusive to William, their relationship was strained at best. Once William turned 18 he moved to America to pursue a college education. He never regained contact with his mother and step-father. William went to college for a degree in engineering in 1956. There he met Henry and they quickly became friends. One year later he met Elanor and they married in 1959. They had three children together.
Henry was born to Edward and Dorothy Emily in Hurricane Utah. He had a normal childhood growing up and went to college in 1957 where he met William. He ended up marrying his highschool sweetheart Ruth in 1961. They had their only child Charlie in 1971. They then divorced in 1981.
Michael is the oldest son of William and Elanor, he was born and raised in Hurricane, Utah. After his mother dying when he was 9 his father started to abuse him, it subsequently got worse as his brother and sister passed. He met his girlfriend Jenny when he was 18 and they quickly had a child, Evan Jr. He worked as a security guard for multiple Fazbear Ent. Inc. locations.
Elizabeth and Evan are the two younger children of William and Elanor. They were born only a year apart and were favorited by William, their mother died when they were too young to remember her and became highly attached to William. Both died very young. Elizabeth possessed Circus baby and Evan possessed Golden Freddy.
Charlie Emily was the only child of Henry and Ruth. She grew up very close to her “cousins” Michael, Elizabeth, and Evan. She had a good relationship with her “uncle” William. She was murdered by William at 12 years old and possessed the puppet.
Elanor Schmidt was the wife of William and mother of Michael Elizabeth and Evan. She was a proficient ballet dancer and ended up being a stay at home mother to her three children, she had a loving relationship with her husband but it ended up tense at the end of it, she was murdered by her husband in 1978.
Ruth Davis was the wife of Henry and mother of Charlie. She met Henry in highschool and they had a decent relationship until they drifted apart and ended up divorcing. She gave up parental rights to Henry.
Jenny Smith is the girlfriend of Michael Afton and the mother of Evan Jr. She met Michael when she was a teenager and supported him through his teenage years, which lead them to fall in love with each other. She got back together with Michael after his accident and they raised Evan together.
Evan Jr. Smith is the son of Michael and Jenny. He had a normal childhood and early adulthood. He ended up being possessed by his grandfather William and lost his sense of self in 2030 and essentially died.
Vannessa Williams is a security guard at the Pizzaplex. She resurrected William and helped him possess his grandson. They are in a strenuous relationship.
Main timeline of events
Henry and William start Fredbear’s Family Diner in 1964
William suffers a springlock accident, permanently scarring him.
Michael Afton is born in 1969
Charlie Emily is born in 1971
Fredbear’s Family Diner opens more locations.
Elizabeth Afton is born in 1976
Evan Afton is born in 1977
In 1978, Elanor Afton is killed by her husband William with a sledgehammer. He takes her body and disposes of it in the Utah desert. Due to marital conflicts being known, he is interrogated but the case is quickly dropped.
Evan Afton’s 6th birthday takes place in Fredbear’s in 1983. His older brother and his friends put his head into the Fredbear animatronic and Evan’s head is quickly crushed. He is rushed to the hospital and put into a medically induced coma. The events of FNAF 4 take place in his head over a week when he is pronounced brain dead and dies. He possesses the Fredbear animatronic.
Over the next year, William’s mental health rapidly deteriorates and he becomes obsessed with the idea of possession. He theorizes that his son is in the fredbear animatronic and starts to design animatronics to test his theory by giving them the capability to capture and kill children inconspicuously.
A sister location known as Circus Baby’s Funland is opened with William’s new animatronics. Elizabeth becomes infatuated with one of the robots, Baby, based off of her. William commands her to stay away but she defies his orders and is killed by Baby.
William’s sanity decreases once again.
Henry, noticing the problems in his business partner's life and mental state, and proximity to horrific accidents, forces him to leave the company for his own good. He also secretly fears for his own daughter's safety. Henry designs an animatronic puppet to act as a watchguard for her.
One night Charlie is locked outside of Fredbear’s Family Diner and William murders her in the alley next to the building. The puppet follows Charlie outside and she possesses her. William is dropped as a potential assailant due to lack of evidence.
After this death, the restaurant chain is renamed to Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza in 1984
New animatronics are designed (toys) and new locations are opened up subsequently.
Michael and Jenny have Evan Jr.
William disguises himself as a security guard, uses his springbonnie suit, and murders five children in 1987.
Due to the murders, the restaurant is about to be shut down, but one more party takes place, during this time, a security guard by the name of Jeremy Fitzgerald gets bitten in the head by Mangle, this is the bite of ‘87
The location is shut down and William is apprehended due to previous speculation, he is let go due to the police being unable to find the bodies.
In 1993 a new location is opened up with refurbished animatronics, Michael is hired as a nightguard but ends up being fired.
One night, William enters the building in an attempt to dismantle the animatronics. He is confronted by the ghosts of the murder victims. In an attempt to scare them off, William dons the springbonnie suit, but the suit malfunctions.
William dies in 1993 in the backroom of a Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. He possesses springbonnie.
Learning of William’s disappearance, Henry closes off every backroom in every location under the guise of “budget cuts’
In 1995, Michael travels to the underground bunker holding Baby and the other Circus Baby’s Funland animatronics to rectify his mistakes and find out more about his father. Baby and the rest manipulate Michael into helping them escape, and they end up leading him into the scooping room, scooping out his organs and killing him. Baby and the others congeal into one animatronic and enter Michael’s body. They use his body as an attempt to conform to civilian life but it starts to rot and it expels them.. Michael’s soul possesses his own body, essentially becoming undead.
After being expelled, infighting causes Baby to be removed from Ennard due to her being Afton's daughter and refusing to kill Michael. She rebuilds herself and Ennard becomes Molten Freddy.
Michael, being undead, finds Jenny, who accepts him, and they begin to raise Evan together.
30 years pass.
The children’s murders essentially become urban legend at this point.
In another attempt to dispel the urban legend, Fazbear Ent. Inc. opens a horror attraction known as Fazbear Frights in California. Michael starts to work there to continue his hunt for his father.
Springtrap is transported to the location as a prop, as workers found his body.
Michael and Springtrap fight and Michael sets the building on fire. Springtrap survives as well as Michael, and Michael captures him and drives him to Utah so Henry can deal with him.
Springtrap escapes Michael’s capture.
In a desperate attempt to end everything once and for all, Henry opens up a fake pizzeria in 2024 to lure all the still roaming souls.
In a miracle, it works, and Springtrap, Baby, Molten Freddy, Golden Freddy, and the Puppet (in Lefty) all arrive.
Michael works at the building to help Henry during this.
Henry locks down the building and sets it ablaze, killing everyone and himself in the building. Michael survives.
William is sent to Hell, to be tormented by Cassidy for eternity, she traps all of the other souls alongside her to torment William as well. Henry eventually convinces her to release the souls and pass on herself to leave William to burn in hell.
Six years pass.
Fazbear Ent. Inc. opens up the Pizzaplex, with all new animatronics and redesigns.
Vanessa works at the Pizzaplex as a security guard.
Evan Jr. Works at the Pizzaplex as an animatronic engineer.
Due to her obsession with the murders and William, she attempts to bring him back to life, and it works.
He ends up possessing her, and appears in her head as Glitchtrap.
Vanessa finds Williams old body (springtrap) under the pizzaplex and slowly starts to rebuild it so william can possess it.
William possesses his body again.
After the battle with Gregory and Glamrock Freddy, his body gets destroyed and he possesses his grandson, Evan Jr. Him and Vanessa escape.
William and Vanessa work together over a year to start murdering children again, as William wants remnant due to it extending life and he does not want to return to Hell.
Michael goes to the pizzaplex and attempts to stop Vanessa and William.
He ends up getting murdered by William.
Michael possesses Glamrock Freddy.
The future of this is up to debate :)

Happy Birthday James “Midge” Ure born October 10th 1953 in Cambuslang.
Born to a working class family Ure attended Cambuslang Primary School and Rutherglen Academy in Glasgow until he was 15 years old. For the first 10 years of his life he lived in a one-bedroom tenement flat. After leaving school Ure attended Motherwell Technical College and then began to work as an engineer, training at the National Engineering Laboratory (NEL), in nearby East Kilbride.
Midge started playing music in a Glasgow band called Stumble in 1969, before joining Salvation, a Glasgow-based group that became the bubblegum band Slik in 1974. Upset in the change of direction, Ure left the band to join the Rich Kids, a punk-pop group led by former Sex Pistol bassist Glen Matlock. The Rich Kids only released one album, 1978’s Ghosts of Princes in Towers, before breaking up later that year. Ure spent a brief time with the Misfits (not the American band) before forming Visage with drummer Rusty Egan and vocalist Steve Strange; he left the group to replace Gary Moore in Thin Lizzy, who had left in the middle of an American tour. After the tour was finished, Ure fulfilled an agreement to join Ultravox as the replacement for John Foxx.
Once he joined the band in 1980, Ure helped make Ultravox a mainstream success; during this time he also worked as a producer, making records with Steve Harley and Modern Man. In 1982, Ure released a solo single, a cover of the Walker Brothers’ hit “No Regrets”; it climbed into the U.K. Top Ten. Ure and Bob Geldof formed Band Aid, a special project to aid famine relief efforts in Ethiopia, in 1984. The two wrote the song “Do They Know It’s Christmas?” and assembled an all-star band of musicians to record the single; it sold millions of copies over the 1984 holiday season.
In 1985, Ultravox was put on hiatus and Ure began to pursue a full-time solo career. Recorded entirely by Ure, his 1985 solo debut, The Gift, launched the number one single “If I Was,” as well as the minor hits “That Certain Smile” and “Call of the Wild.” The following year, he recorded the final Ultravox album; in 1987, the band broke up and he began recording his second solo album. The resulting record, 1988’s Answers to Nothing, was less successful than The Gift in the U.K., yet it charted in the U.S., which is something Ure’s previous album failed to do. Three years later, Ure released his third album, Pure; while it didn’t do any business in America, the album featured the Top 20 British hit “Cold, Cold Heart.” He attempted a comeback in 1996 with Breathe, which went ignored by both the American and British markets. Four years later, his score for the Jon Cryer drama-comedy Went to Coney Island was issued by the Evenmore label.
Ure’s recording activity during the 2000s began with Move Me, which featured some surprisingly hard rocking material. A few years later, he published an autobiography, If I Was, and then, with Geldof, arranged the Live 8 concerts.
Following the release of the covers-oriented 10 IN 2008, Ure participated in an Ultravox reunion and continued to record as a solo artist. Fragile was issued in 2014, and featured the Moby collaboration “Dark, Dark Night.” In 2017, he collaborated with composer Ty Unwin on the album Orchestrated, which featured orchestral reworkings of Ultravox songs, as well as songs from his solo career.
In 2020 Midge released an album Soundtrack 1978-2019, he was one of the lucky artists to have completed his tour promoting this in February that year.
Midge has recently revealed why he turned down an offer to join the Sex Pistols, telling The Telegraph that he considered that taking up the invitation from the band's manager Malcolm McLaren would have been like "joining a slightly edgier Bay City Rollers". He received the offer to join the fledgling punk band back in 1975, while on a visit to McCormack’s instrument hire shop in Glasgow.
In an interview published in the Telegraph he said;
"I was stopped in the street by the Clash’s manager, Bernie Rhodes, who then introduced me to Malcolm McLaren, I didn’t know who either of them was, but they literally asked me to join the Sex Pistols without even asking what I did. To me it would have been like joining a slightly edgier Bay City Rollers, so I turned them down.
Last October Midge celebrated seven decades of music with a concert at the Royal Albert Hall.
Concerts coming up for Midge are, 24th October: Tvonica Culture - Zagreb , 31st October: Stadfeestzaal - Aarschot, Belgium with Lena
Lovich, before 27 dates in Scotland, England, Ireland and Wales ending in December, he then travels to United Arab Emirates for a gig in February, March sees the hard working Scot play 11 nights in Sweden and Germany.
Midge Ure is one of Scotland’s all-time most successful musicians. He is married with four daughters and lives in Somerset.
The video is Midge, with Pilot,s David Paton from a Live Hogmanay show in 1995.

A Light in the Shadows || AO3 || 21k words || Rated M
Chapter 1: James Fleamont Potter
The first chapter has 18 sections, so the 21k words are split up quite a bit.
Each character chapter (1-6) will cover the first 11 years of their life (Brith to August 31st, 1971). I did this so each big character would have only one chapter. James and Lily's chapters are the longest, others will be shorter.
If you like smaller sections, you can search the dates, I recommend the following breakdown:
Sunday, March 27th, 1960 - Tuesday, April 21st, 1964 (3 sections, 1.4k words)
Sunday, August 15th, 1965 (1 section, 2.5 words)
Monday, September 6th, 1965 (1 section, 1.4k words)
Friday, October 21st, 1966 - Friday, April 21st, 1967 (3 section, 3.5k words)
Monday, June 17th, 1968 (1 section, 1.6k words)
Saturday, August 17th, 1968 - Friday, May 10th, 1969 (2 section, 1.6k words)
Saturday, June 28th, 1969 (1 section, 3.2k words)
Saturday, October 11th, 1969 - December 1969 to June 1970 (2 sections, 1.4k words)
Saturday March 27th, 1971 (1 section, 2.6k words)
Thursday, June 10th, 1971 - Tuesday, August 31st, 1971 (3 section, 2.6k words)

"And The Grass Won't Pay No Mind" (1969)
youtube
Recorded at the American Sound studio in Memphis, Tennessee, on February 17, 1969. Released on the Elvis' 10th studio album and 2nd live album, the hybrid double LP (with studio recordings plus performed live songs) From Memphis to Vegas / From Vegas to Memphis, on October 14, 1969.
Studio Sessions for RCA: January 13–16 and 20–23, 1969: American Studios, Memphis January 13, 1969, was a Monday. To accommodate Elvis Chips Moman had to rearrange a number of scheduled sessions, including one with Neil Diamond; legend has it that Diamond agreed to a postponement in return for a promise that Elvis would record one of his songs. February 17, 1969 (around 1–4AM) They ate a lot of chicken in the studio that week, and after one such feast Chips brought up “And The Grass Won’t Pay No Mind,” the song he’d promised Neil Diamond in return for rescheduling his own session. Excerpt: "Elvis Presley: A Life in Music" by Ernst Jorgensen. Foreword by Peter Guralnick (1998)
Elvis and Chips Moman, producer of the King's Memphis recording sessions at the American Sound Studio, 1969.

L'Olympia Music Hall, Paris, France
October 10th 1969
After a month's break, the boys embark on a short but sweet tour over Europe, in anticipation of the release of their sophomore album. This show in Paris is our first complete recording of the tour, and was immortalised on the deluxe edition of Led Zeppelin I through the beautiful audio from a radio broadcast.
Simply put, this is one of Zeppelin's greatest shows of the year. With ample rest, all of Plant's vocal ailments from the Summer have faded away, and he lays down one of the most passionate, deranged, yet technically astounding performances of his life. The rest of the band are having a fantastic night too, with everyone eager to try new material, and the collective energy of the audience reverberating throughout the hall.

Another videogame maths post, this time seeing how much it would cost for Heavy to fire the Minigun for various lengths of time.
Blah blah preamble woo let's get on with this!
Note: this post assumes that TF2's plot starts on Thursday October 10th, 1968 (since, other than the year, there's no canon date to when the mercs started doing their thing, so I might as well just use the day the game released; coincidentally, it's also the date that a law prohibiting purchase of firearms via mail-order and restricted over-the-counter sales was passed by the US House of Representatives). This will be important when we get to the "shooting until [significant date]" section of the post.
So first off, for those who don't know about TF2, the trailer/animated audition-read Meet The Heavy is mostly just Heavy bragging about his minigun; part of his description of it involves him stating that, as it fires $200 cartridges at a rate of $10,000 RPM, it therefore costs $400,000 to fire for 12 seconds, which - having done the maths - is correct (and also explains why he's so rich in that one Halloween comic; it's so he can pay to keep firing). That means that we can start working out the other times.
Reference units
1 minute = $2,000,000 1 hour = $120,000,000 1 day = $2,880,000,000 1 week = $20,160,000,000 1 month (rounded down) = $80,640,000,000 1 year = $967,680,000,000
Now the fun part; how much would it cost if Heavy fired his minigun for the entire time between starting his mercenary career and various significant dates (not counting the end-dates)?
16th of July, 1969 (the Moon Landing): $803,520,000,000
1st of January, 1972 (the year when Mann Vs. Machine takes place): 339,264,000,000,000,000
12 of June, 1987 (release date of Predator): 19,638,720,000,000,000,000
22nd of June, 1996 (Quake's release date): 29,136,960,000,000,000,000
24th of August, 1996 (Valve's founding date): 29,318,400,000,000,000
1st of April, 1999 (TFC's release date): 3,214,080,000,000,000,000
22nd of April, 2002 (my birthday): 35,271,360,000,000,000,000
10th October, 2007 (TF2's release date): 41,022,720,000,000,000,000
24th of May, 2016 (Overwatch's release date): 50,091,840,000,000,000,000
9th of May, 2023 (the day I'm posting this): 57,409,920,000,000,000,000
Anyway that's the post! Feel free to reblog with how much your dates would cost (remember; if there's an "e+N" thing, remove it, add however many zeroes N equals, delete the decimal point, and then go backwards from the last digit, add commas every 3)!

MASTERPOST FOR MY FNAF TIMELINE
HEADS UP: MY VERSION OF FNAF STAYS VERY CLOSE TO CANON
I change some names, add on some details, throw out convoluted bullcrap, and add some parts that are my own.
Full thing under the cut!
William was born on October 14th, 1938. He was born to James and Helen Afton. James Afton died in 1944 in WW2. Hellen Afton died in 1994 of natural causes.
Henry Emily was born on June 10th, 1941 to Edward and Dorthy Emily. Edward Emily passed away in 1995 to natural causes, his wife passed away a year later.
William moved to America at 18 to go to college for engineering, there he met Henry and they formed a friendship. William met Elanor in 1957 and married her in 1959. Henry met Ruth in 1958 and married her in 1960.
Ruth Davis was born on November 26th, 1941, to Kenneth and Florence Davis. Kenneth Davis passed away in 1975 to medical issues, Florence passed away in 2000 to natural causes.
Elanor Schmidt was born on February 15th, 1943 to Frank and Marie Schmidt. Frank Schmidt passed away in 1964 to medical issues, Marie Schmidt passed away in 1978 to natural causes.
William and Henry put their degrees to use to start a business and in 1964 the first Fredbears opened, a simple diner featuring Fredbear and Springbonnie. In 1966 after trying to upgrade the springlocks, William suffers a springlock accident but survives, scarring him. The springlocks are eventually perfected.
William and Elanor had their first child in 1969, Michael Afton.
Fredbears becomes more successful, and eventually more locations are opened.
Henry and Ruth had their only child in 1971, Charlie Emily. William and Elanors family expands, with Elizabeth Afton being born in 1976, and Evan Afton being born in 1977.
In 1978 William murders his wife with a sledgehammer. He disposes of her body in an unnamed location in the Utah desert. Due to them having marital issues the police don't find enough evidence to convict William and he is not incarcerated. He manipulates Michael into thinking Elanor left them due to her lack of love for them.
1983, Evans 6th birthday is taking place in a Fredbears Diner. Due to him being terrified of the animatronics, Michael and his friends torment him and push him into the mouth of Fredbear. Evan starts crying, and the moisture from his tears cause the springlocks in Fredbear to activate and his mouth clamps shut, crushing Evans head in it. HE is rushed to the hospital and is put into an induced coma, he passes away 5 days later.
Evans' death causes Williams mental health to drastically deteriorate, and he starts to abuse Michael more severely than before. William starts to theorize that Evan possessed Fredbear and his soul is in the animatronic. William starts to design different types of animatronics whose sole purpose is to capture children and kill them. A sister location is opened with these new types of animatronics. Elizabeth becomes infatuated with one of the animatronics, Baby based off of her. She obsesses over her, although William tells her to stay away from Baby. At the sister location Elizabeth disobeys her father and goes to Baby, who lures her in with icecream and ends up murdering her. William becomes even more distraught and abusive.
Henry, noticing the problems in his business partner's life and mental state, and proximity to horrific accidents, forces him to leave the company for his own good. He also secretly fears for his own daughter's safety. Henry designs an animatronic puppet to act as a watchguard for her.
One evening at the establishment the puppet ends up being barricaded in her box and Charlie is left out in the rain. William, who was the reason behind the puppets' entrapment, meets her outside, and kills her. He flees the scene. The puppet escapes her box and crawls outside, laying next to her body, she possesses the puppet.
Despite overwhelming evidence William is not convicted.
The restaurant in which this occured is shut down.
To expel rumors and allegations the Fredbears Brand is redesigned to Freddy Fazbears Pizzeria. New animatronic designs are made and new locations are opened up in 1987. William disguises himself as a security guard and murders five children, stuffing them into the animatronics. Cassidy is the first child murdered. She shares the suit with Evan.
Due to the murders the restaurant is about to be closed down, but one more party takes place, a security guard named Jeremy Fitzgerald is bitten in 1987. The location is shut down and William is arrested on speculation of the murders. HE is once again let go despite evidence pointing to him.
In 1993 a new location is opened with the animatronics being refurbished. Michael ends up working there but is fired. At night, William enters the facility to disassemble the animatronics. HE is confronted by the spirits in them and they corner him in a backroom. HE puts on a spring bonnie suit to scare away the kids but the moisture of the room activates the springlocks and he gets painfully killed. He possesses the suit.
After learning of Williams disappearance/ death Henry walls off back rooms in all of the locations under the guise of “budget cuts”
In 1995, Michael goes to the underground storage facility holding baby and the rest of the sister location animatronics to rectify his mistakes and find out more about his father. Baby and the rest of them manipulate Michael into helping them escape, and they end up leading him into the scooping room, scooping out his organs and killing him, baby and the others congeal into one animatronic called ennard and enter michaels body. They use his body as an attempt to conform to civilian life but it starts to rot and it expels ennard. Michaels soul possesses his own body, essentially becoming undead.
After being expelled, infighting causes baby to be removed from ennard due to her being Afton's daughter and refusing to kill Michael. She rebuilds herself and Ennard becomes Molten Freddy.
30 years pass and the murders essentially become urban legend. In an effort to further dispel the rumors, a horror attraction is opened called fazbears fright. Michael starts working there to continue trying to find his father. Springtrap is found and moved to the attraction as a prop. Michael and Springtrap fight and Michael sets the building ablaze. Afton escapes but MIchael captures him and moves him cross country to Henry. They plan to kill springtrap once and for all. Before Michael can deliver him to Henry, Springtrap escapes once again.
Ina desperate attempt to end everything and tie up loose ends, Henry opens a location to try and lure everyone into it. It miraculously works and after scrap baby, ennard, springtrap, golden freddy and the puppet are trapped inside, Henry sets the place on fire with him inside it along with Michael to end everything once and for all.
William is sent to Hell and cassidy, who is extremely malevolent to him, makes her own personal hell for him, she forces the childrens souls to stay there with her and torture him. Henry, who is portrayed as old man consequences, tells Cassidy to leave William to suffer by himself and let everyone go to heaven. She relents and lets everyone free. William stays in hell.

In an interview published in the Telegraph he said;
"I was stopped in the street by the Clash’s manager, Bernie Rhodes, who then introduced me to Malcolm McLaren, I didn’t know who either of them was, but they literally asked me to join the Sex Pistols without even asking what I did. To me it would have been like joining a slightly edgier Bay City Rollers, so I turned them down.
On 4th October he celebrated seven decades of music with a concert at the Royal Albert Hall. He is married with four daughters and lives in Somerset.
