You’re very good at drawing snouts btw, I’ve always found it sooo hard to draw snouts at specific angles so those Chas kiss posts are like finding refreshing ice cold glasses of water while dragging myself through a barren scorching desert of lizardman/dragon/dragonborn (I guess the term would be scaly? although I’m not a furry) art that I don’t vibe with

thank you that's very kind of you :) i am not a furry/scaly/whatever and nearly all the characters i care about are snoutless but it is nice to draw one every now and then just for fun. constructing the snouty head is easy enough for me b/c i got my start in dragon/animal art. it's the human head that gives me so much hassle every time.

it’d take a lot to pry sunkiller/jarty away from my hands. they both struggled similarly but dealt with it in such different ways. my friend juli wrote about them in a group therapy setting and i absolutely fixated on it for months for some reason??

imagine barty with bpd AND npd. he used people’s emotions like it was second nature. he didn’t even think twice. with that being said, he had an avoidant attachment style. if he was showing raw emotion, it was probably for show. he wasn’t “vulnerable” without the intention to be.

imagine james with bpd, who fixated on people so much that it was all he could thing about. he was obsessive to an almost concerning degree, but that’s what barty wanted.

he wanted to be on james’s mind like that, to consume his every thought. he got off on the idea of someone thinking about him like that. barty noticed the little details, all the things that james liked so that he could use it to make james think he actually cared. it got to a point where barty was trying so hard to get james obsessed with him, he didn’t realise that the only thing he could think about was james. his mood depended on how james reacted to him, how james acted and even the tone he spoke in.

Me when the anime has the average protagonist and the popular love interest, the beach episode, the holiday episode, the school trip, the summer festival, sports carnival, swimming episode, eccentric best friends, the one character who's english VA is in another anime and that's all you can hear them as, the dramatic/traumatic backstory, the sibling/parent rivalry, and the fandom isn't problematic and doesn't argue about "characters interfering with ships".

hi! longtime ln fan here but i'm very confused. i've been seeing stuff about the sounds of nightmares a lot and i know it's a podcast, but is it official or fanon? and what's it about?

HELLO COMRADE🫡

Okay so! The Sounds of Nightmares is an official podcast that was both announced and released on the day Little Nightmares III was announced, a.k.a. the 22nd of August, with the first two episodes dropping on that same day while the remaining four were released weekly on every Tuesday. There is a total of six episodes. Here's a link to the announcement of the first two episodes dropping.

The plot of the series follows a new protagonist, a young girl who goes by "Noone" (pronounced noon) who is kept in a facility due to mental health issues and keeps experiencing ever worsening nightmares. Alongside her we have the first ever adult (coo)protagonist in the franchise: the Counselor, Otto, who tries to help her understand the source of her terrors. Whether or not his intentions come from a place of good... you'll find out by listening.

Tons of new locations are introduced, new children, new characters... and the return of a long time character who has been hiding in the shadows for years, so much so that we all thought him lost forever...

... who plays a massive role in this narrative. The podcast as a whole elaborates on his lore and the world's, but leaves you with just as many questions. Typical of Little Nights!

The intro song is also an absolute banger delivered by Mr Lilja, so you know it's LN goodness.

Getting to experience it as it was happening was both insane and incredibly fun. Personally I had a lot of friends who were willing to watch it with me and discuss the events in the story and lore reveals with them was both fun and enlightening. If you can, watch it with a LN enthusiast friend, or better yet with someone who has no idea what is going on: they will definitely get sucked into it!
