Chiefs vs. Ravens live score, updates, highlights from NFL's 'Monday Night Football' game
After a “Sunday Night Football” game between two of the NFL’s oldest quarterbacks, the latest “Monday Night Football” game will feature two of the most exciting young quarterbacks in the league: reigning Super Bowl MVP Patrick Mahomes vs. reigning NFL MVP Lamar Jackson.
The prime-time clash between the Chiefs (2-0) and the Ravens (2-0) could be a preview of this season’s AFC championship game. Perhaps still battling the Super Bowl hangover, Kansas City hasn’t looked that dominant this year as it barely got by the Chargers 23-20 in overtime last week. The Ravens, on the other hand, have looked like a team on a mission with a pair of convincing wins to start the season.
These teams also met in Week 3 last season, with the Chiefs staving off a late comeback effort by Jackson to win 33-28. This year, the Ravens are favored by more than a field goal (3.5 points) to win at home.
Sporting News is tracking live scoring updates and highlights from Chiefs vs. Ravens on “Monday Night Football.” Follow below for complete results from the NFL Week 3 game.

Chiefs vs. Ravens live updates, highlights from ‘Monday Night Football’
10:48 p.m. — BIG MAN TOUCHDOWN. Mahomes finds his left tackle Eric Fisher (an eligible receiver) for a 2-yard TD. Chiefs lead 34-20 with 8:14 remaining.
10:46 p.m. — Chiefs call a timeout with 9:03 to play. They’ve got the ball, second and 7 at Baltimore’s 13-yard line with a 27-20 lead.
10:42 p.m. — Another third down conversion as Mahomes scrambles for 12 yards this time. They’re inside the 30 now, less than 11 minutes remaining.
10:39 p.m. — Chiefs convert a big third down as Mahomes hits Clyde Edwards-Helaire for an 18-yard gain. Kansas City moving the ball near midfield.
10:33 p.m. — Jackson hits Nick Boyle for a 5-yard TD to open up the fourth quarter. It’s now a one-score game, 27-20 Kansas City with 14:55 remaining.
10:30 p.m. — After three quarters, Kansas City still leads 27-13 but Baltimore is knocking on the door, second and goal at the 5-yard line.
10:24 p.m. — Baltimore’s defense has come to play in the second half. They force a turnover on downs and take over at the Kansas City 49, 3:01 to play in the third.
10:17 p.m. — Ravens get a lengthy drive, but a false start on fourth and short forces them to settle for a 42-yard field goal by Tucker. Chiefs lead 27-13, 6:13 left in the third quarter.
10:03 p.m. — The Chiefs are pulling out all of the stops: a reverse-sweep-flea-flicker to the flats gets them all of seven yards. Maybe a little too much fun though; Baltimore recovers a fumble and takes over at its own 21-yard line, 13:03 to go in the third quarter.
Still, look at this play. She’s a beauty.
9:45 p.m. — Mecole Hardman can’t haul in a near-perfect throw from Mahomes to the end zone. Sammy Watkins grabs one over the middle to set up a 42-yard field goal attempt for Butker, who pulls it wide. That’ll do it for the first half: Kansas City leads Baltimore 27-10.
9:41 p.m. — Mahomes hits Hill over the middle and the Chiefs call timeout with 30 seconds on the clock, ball at the Baltimore 35.
9:39 p.m. — Things go from bad to worse for Baltimore: Chris Jones knocks the ball out of Jackson’s hands and Kansas City recovers. Chiefs have it at their own 49, 45 seconds to go in the half.
9:36 p.m. — Mahomes is hit as he delivers a 49-yard TD bomb to Mecole Hardman. Holy smokes. Kansas City leads 27-10 with 1:48 left in the first half.
9:30 p.m. — Two-minute warning. Chiefs have it, second and 9 at the Baltimore 44-yard line.
9:28 p.m. — Jackson nearly gets picked off on back-to-back throws, but instead it’ll be another punt for the Ravens. Chiefs get the ball back at their own 16-yard line, 4:39 remaining in the half.
9:20 p.m. — After forcing their own three-and-out, the Chiefs get back on the scoreboard as Mahomes hits Tyreek Hill over the top for a 20-yard TD pass. Kansas City leads 20-10 with 6:40 remaining in the second quarter. (Analysis: Mahomes is very good at football)
9:06 p.m. — The Ravens force a three-and-out for the first time tonight and take over at their own 27-yard line with 11:06 to go in the first half.
9:01 p.m. — DEVIN DUVERNAY TAKES THE KICKOFF TO THE HOUSE. That’s a 93-yard return and the Kansas City lead is cut to 13-10 with 12:40 to go in the second quarter.
8:57 p.m. — Mahomes hits Anthony Sherman with an underhand shovel pass for a TD. That was slick. Butker hits this time and the Chiefs lead 13-3 with 12:52 remaining in the first half.
8:52 p.m. — After one quarter the Chiefs hold a 6-3 lead and have the ball, third and 9 at Baltimore’s 23-yard line.
8:40 p.m. — A holding penalty and a sack on third and long forces the first punt of the evening. Kansas City takes over at its own 32-yard line with 4:12 in the first quarter, still leading 6-3.
8:31 p.m. — The Chiefs march right down the field and Patrick Mahomes rolls out for an easy rushing TD. Harrison Butker misses the PAT, Kansas City leads 6-3 with 6:43 left in the opening quarter.
8:29 p.m. — End around for Tyreek Hill on the first play for the Chiefs? Hook it into my veins (yes, he’s on my fantasy team; so what?).
8:23 p.m. — Baltimore gets the running game going early thanks to a big run by Lamar Jackson (and a sweet pitch out play on third down), but the Kansas City defense is able to get the stop and force a 26-yard field goal from Justin Tucker. Ravens lead 3-0 with 9:20 in the first quarter.
8:15 p.m. — That was one hell of an introduction by Samuel L. Jackson. Can we get him to do that more often?
(Updates will begin at 8:20 p.m. ET)

What to watch for in Thanksgiving tripleheader
As the NFL's annual Thanksgiving Day tripleheader sets its course, rivalries, subplots and playoff berths are all for the taking. The day will begin with an NFC North tilt with the Chicago Bears (5-6) against the host Detroit Lions (3-7-1) on FOX at 12:30 p.m. ET. Then turkey day action takes us to an annual Dallas destination as the Cowboys (6-5) host the Buffalo Bills (8-3) on CBS at 4:30 p.m. ET before the final course offers up the Atlanta Falcons (3-8) welcoming the archrival New Orleans Saints (9-2) at 8:20 p.m. ET on NBC. Injuries and misfortune have derailed Detroit's hopes for postseason endeavors, but some salvation might be found in a win against the Bears, who are grasping to fleeting hope for the playoffs a season after winning the division. Chicago's defense is still more than formidable, but its ineffective offense continues to grab notice for all the wrong reasons. Nonetheless, the Bears have won three straight in the rivalry and a fourth in a row is a must to keep those postseason hopes, unlikely as they might be, still going. The Cowboys lead the NFC East, but they've yet to beat a team with a winning record, which the Bills possess. Buffalo brings a staunch defense and burgeoning offense led by second-year signal-caller Josh Allen to Big D, as Dak Prescott, Ezekiel Elliott and Amari Cooper must rebound from an abysmal showing against the Patriots in a 13-9 defeat. One of these teams is walking away from Thursday with its biggest win of the season so far. Despite four weeks remaining in the season, the Saints can be the first team in the NFL to clinch a playoff berth and their division right along with it. A New Orleans win (or a tie coupled with a Panthers loss or tie) will wrap up the NFC South for the Saints and make this a Thanksgiving to celebrate. Added intrigue is the revenge factor, as the Falcons, with little left to play for other than seemingly saving coach Dan Quinn's job, pulled off a stunning 26-9 Week 10 upset when the teams first collided. Get ready for firsts, seconds and thirds as the NFL provides three helpings. Here are six things to watch for on Thursday. Chicago Bears (5-6) at Detroit Lions (3-7-1) 1. A season ago at this time, the Bears defeated the Lions, 23-16, on Thanksgiving. Matthew Stafford was quarterbacking Detroit and Chase Daniel was quarterbacking Chicago. It's the opposite this time around as the Lions have backup Jeff Driskel taking the reins as Stafford's season might well be done. (Editor's note: The Lions announced Wednesday night that rookie David Blough will start at quarterback in place of the injured Driskel.) Daniel is still the backup and Mitchell Trubisky is still the starter, though it's come with a huge helping of scrutiny as the Bears offense is 29th in the all the NFL land. Trubisky has been woeful with his 80.5 rating (30th), 5.8 yards per attempt (32nd) and 185.8 yards a game (32nd) providing ample evidence of his struggles. Facing a Lions defense that's 30th against the pass (29th overall), this is a game in which Trubisky has to show signs of life. Still, one would be hard-pressed to think the Khalil Mack-led defense won't lead the way if a win is to be had. Having allowed just 17.1 points per game (fourth in the NFL), the Chicago defense might not be as dominant as a season ago, but it's still excellent. Mack's 6.5 sacks are getting some notice in a negative light as more are expected, but he's still impacting the game on nearly every play and tied for the league lead with five forced fumbles. 2. Kenny Golladay has been putting forth the breakout season many predicted and/or hoped for with 43 grabs for 792 yards and eight touchdowns. Those eight touchdowns are matched by teammate Marvin Jones and tied for second in the NFL. However, it should be of little surprise that the sidelining of Stafford has also stunted their production. In Driskel's three starts, Golladay hasn't caught more than four balls in a game and has just one touchdown over those three games. Jones has done a bit better, but hasn't had more than five catches in any of those games, hasn't had more than 46 yards receiving in each of the last two contests and has two touchdowns -- though scoring in bunches isn't new to him. Perhaps the most positive surprise during the Lions' most recent travails has been running back Bo Scarbrough. Signed to the active roster just the day before making his NFL debut in Week 11, he had a touchdown and 55 yards in 14 carries against the Cowboys. Last week, he had 98 yards in 18 carries against Washington. Kerryon Johnson has a bright future in Motown, but he is injury-prone and Scarbrough has at least shown he belongs in the NFL with his performances during these dim days in Detroit. Buffalo Bills (8-3) at Dallas Cowboys (6-5) 1. Chasing the Patriots in the AFC East and following their lead after New England confounded Dallas a week ago, the Bills defense will aim to shut down the Cowboys offense a week after it was held to nine points. Ranked third in total defense, Buffalo's strength is on that side of the ball, but its offense continues to improve. Second-season quarterback Josh Allen's betterment continues to be fun to watch and he's produced 22 total touchdowns so far (team-high seven rushing scores). But it's truly the running game, which Allen's a huge part of, that's settling in and complimenting the defense so well. With 1,531 yards rushing, the Bills have the fifth-ranked rushing attack and boast three players - Frank Gore (541 yards), Devin Singletary (490) and Allen (387) with more than 300 yards rushing. Singletary set career-highs with 21 carries and 106 rushing yards in his team's win over Denver last. And, of course, as the Bills travel to face the Cowboys, another wrinkle is Buffalo receiver Cole Beasley, who will be playing his former team after seven seasons in Dallas. It's not just defense that's leading to wins in Buffalo. 2. Though they own a one-game lead in the dreadful NFC East, the Cowboys are not finding this time of the season to be blissful. With Dallas' failure to defeat a winning team having become a calling card, its latest failure was a 13-6 loss to the Patriots. The offense was held in check with receiver Amari Cooper going without a catch and Dak Prescott going without a touchdown throw for the third time this season (all losses). Still, the Cowboys' offense is No. 1 in the NFL and it's faced with a winning team that boasts the No. 3 defense. Nothing will be clinched with a Cowboys win and questions will still exist. But a win against a winning team with the offense defying a high-ranked defense is just what Dallas needs right now. That lies largely on the shoulders of Prescott, who is 5-2 against top-five defenses, but has lost the last two such matchups. Though he didn't get any last week, Prescott has 21 scoring throws this season (tied for fourth) and the Bills have given up just seven (second-fewest). Against formidable competition this season, Dallas has backed down. Now's the time in which the Cowboys need to back up their status as being better than just the frontrunners in the NFL's weakest division. New Orleans Saints (9-2) at Atlanta Falcons (3-8) 1. By all accounts, the Saints are a balanced team and a bona fide Super Bowl contender -- hence why they can be the first to cinch up a playoff spot. But as quarterback Drew Brees faces off with a Falcons team that he's passed for 8,511 yards against (the most of any QB against Atlanta), it's wide receiver Michael Thomas who's the MVP candidate on this New Orleans team. Just the second player in NFL chronicle to haul in 100 catches in his team's first 11 games, Thomas' 104 receptions lead the NFL and have him on pace to set a new single-season league record. He's also leading the league in targets (124), receiving yards (1,242) and first-down catches (63). Moving the chains and making some noise, Thomas has stood out whether it's Brees or Teddy Bridgewater throwing to him. Though the Saints lost to the Falcons in shocking fashion earlier this season, Thomas still had 13 catches for 152 yards. Translation, nothing's slowing down the NFL's best wide receiver this season. 2. Just as Drew Brees has thrown for more yards against the Falcons, Matt Ryan has done the same against the Saints. Ryan's 6,536 yards sit as the standard against the Saints, as do his 41 touchdowns. Despite a seeming abundance of talent on paper, the Falcons have struggled this season, but Ryan has largely remained his impressive, overlooked self. Ryan's averaging 293.4 yards per contest with 18 touchdowns in 10 games. However, he's coming off an awful showing in a loss to Tampa Bay in which he completed just 50 percent of his throws, had no touchdowns and an interception. Ryan has had plenty of success against the Saints and no matter the Falcons' struggles, he keeps on producing. Read the full article

Why the Broncos will cover the spread in the 2019 Hall of Fame Game
Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports
The return of preseason football means the return of NFL gambling! Here’s why the Broncos are the team to back on Thursday night.
We did it folks! The NFL is back! Gambling on football is back!! Oh yes, the Hall of Fame Game between the Atlanta Falcons and the Denver Broncos means we did it. We’ve been waiting since February for NFL action (RIP AAF) and we now we’ve got it. No, this game isn’t the regular season but it’s a football game you can gamble on and that’s all that matters to me.
Motivation for preseason games can vary widely between teams and even more so between players, and the first preseason game is where that shows the most. The first preseason game, whether it’s the Hall of Fame Game or otherwise, is the first time to put out film.
When you step on that field, you’re always being judged, whether in the preseason or the regular season. The eye in the sky never lies. First and foremost, you’re trying to impress your own coaching staff. Secondly, you’re trying to impress other people around the league. Your film is being watched by everyone and if you happen to get released, that film is your resume. That process of impressing your staff and the front offices around the league will begin on Thursday night.
Even though it’s the first time to put your film out, that doesn’t mean everyone is motivated to put on their best performance. We know that the preseason for veterans with returning coaches can vary in intensity. If you’re an established starter, game one is just the first time to hit someone else. It’s 10-12 plays, a “warmup” for lack of a better term. Just don’t trip over your shoelaces. Returning coaches are using these games to work on specific things and want to see the team’s execution. They might gear reps more towards position battles instead of working more reps for the ones.
Approximately 26 teams and players approach game one of the preseason like mentioned above. However, the remaining teams that have new head coaches are fired up for game one in a new system. I’ve been in that situation a few times in my career so I know the feeling. Even though the game doesn’t count, new coaches want to start the season off positively with a strong performance in game one. They play their starters a tad longer and might have installed just an extra couple of plays for the game — more than the opposing team.
With the first opportunity to show their new staff what you can do in a game, the players treat this first preseason game with more importance than usual. They want to show off. They need to impress the staff. So the players just naturally compete a tiny bit more in this game with a new coach. Just enough to make a mark in their first action of the season.
With this thinking, I’m taking the Broncos to win and cover in the Hall of Fame game. The game opened as a pick ‘em, but the Broncos have climbed to as high as a three-point favorite.
The Falcons are established under Dan Quinn. They won’t have the sense of urgency, especially with the announcement that Matt Ryan — and presumably the rest of the starters — aren’t playing in this game. The Falcons, while wanting to win this game, aren’t going to give the effort all night to win. However, the Broncos under first year head coach Vic Fangio, are 1000% trying to win this game. Their players will try to put on a good show for their brand new head coach.
While the past might not be the best indication about the future in a preseason game, we do have one trend that leans towards the Broncos. The last four first year head coaches in the Hall of Fame Game have all covered, with three winning outright. Matt Nagy with the Bears last season was the last of the four coaches to cover, as a small underdog against the Ravens.
Lastly, I just think the Broncos second team is better than the Falcons. The Falcons are a top loaded team and ready to contend for a Super Bowl now. That’s not the Broncos. So, add all those factors up, and I’m taking the Broncos to cover.

Eagles DT Tim Jernigan (back spasms) out for rest of game vs. Redskins
10:29 p.m.: After the Eagles’ last drive ended with an interception in the red zone, they put together an 11-play, 85-yard scoring drive that was capped with a four-yard touchdown pass from Wentz to Jordan Matthews. The Eagles then got the two-point conversion to make this a two-score game with 14:10 left.
Eagles 22, Redskins 13
10:24 p.m.: As the third quarter ends, the Eagles are threatening again, but this game certainly isn’t over yet. Aside from that one big 90-yard touchdown run from Adrian Peterson, the Eagles have pretty much controlled this game. But the scoreboard doesn’t reflect that.
After three: Eagles 14, Redskins 13
10:13 p.m.: Tim Jernigan (back spasms) is out for the rest of the game. This was just his second game back this year.
9:53 p.m.: In real football news, Colt McCoy (leg) has been ruled out. Mark Sanchez will be the Redskins’ quarterback the rest of the way.
9:51 p.m.: The mascot halftime show was pretty great. It ended in a 7-7 tie, but that was a fun little game. I’d like to see more defense from a guy named Gritty, though.
9:40 p.m.: The Eagles gave up a cheap field goal at the end of the first half to make this a one-point game. The Redskins had a 3rd-and-7 from their own 48-yard line with 1:11 left and Mark Sanchez hit Jordan Reed for seven yards to move the sticks. Malcolm Jenkins nearly forced a fumble, but Reed kept the ball and got the first down. Eventually, the Redskins kicked a 47-yarder near the end of the half.
At halftime: Eagles 14, Redskins 13
9:31 p.m.: Darren Sproles is back! The 35-year-old running back had a nice punt return to set up the drive and then capped it with a 14-yard touchdown run. It’s his first touchdown in nearly two years (Dec. 22, 2016). Jason Kelce had a great block on the play. Less than two minutes left in the half.
Eagles 14, Redskins 10
9:19 p.m.: The Eagles had 1st-and-goal from the Washington 2-yard line and couldn’t get a touchdown.
First down: Incomplete pass to Jordan Matthews Second down: Josh Adams loses a yard Third down: False start, Zach Ertz Third down: Pass to Agholor for 7 Fourth down: Adams loses two, turnover on downs.
Yikes.
9:05 p.m.: Mark Sanchez came in and guess what? He handed the ball off.
Adrian Peterson took the ball 90 yards for a touchdown. And all of a sudden, the Redskins are up 10-7.
9:02 p.m.: Here comes Mark Sanchez. Colt McCoy is at least temporarily out of this game in the second quarter, so Sanchez is in. The Redskins signed him just a couple weeks ago.
8:50 p.m.: The Redskins got on the board with a 44-yard field goal from Dustin Hopkins. The Eagles gave up some yards on that drive, including a first down on a defensive pass interference, but held them to a field goal early in the second quarter.
Eagles 7, Redskins 3
8:46 p.m.: Good first quarter from the Eagles. They finally got out to a lead and their defense is playing well. The Redskins are driving, but it’s third down as the second quarter is set to begin.
After one: Eagles 7, Redskins 0
8:32 p.m.: The Eagles defense got a quick 3-and-out that was aided by a hold call. They’re flying around. Good start all around so far.
This is exactly what the Eagles needed. A quick start on offense and defense. Now they can keep attacking.
8:25 p.m.: Hey! There’s that fast start we’ve all been waiting for! The Eagles got the opening kickoff and drove down the field 75 yards on 12 plays in 7:29 to score a touchdown. Carson Wentz hit Golden Tate in the end zone for a six-yard touchdown. It’s Tate’s first touchdown as an Eagle.
This is just the fourth first-quarter touchdown the Eagles have scored all year. It’s the first since the first Giants game back in October.
It looks like Wentz and Tate are on the same page tonight.
Eagles 7, Redskins 0
7:47 p.m.: The Eagles are finishing up their pregame warmups on the field now. Here’s a few scenes from the warmups:
6:17 p.m.: Inactives won’t come out for another 45 minutes, but Darren Sproles (hamstring) and Josh Adams (hip) are going to be good to go tonight.
Here are some scenes from the early workouts:
4:38 p.m.: It's a gorgeous night in South Philadelphia. We're about four hours from kickoff.
4:31 p.m.: The NFL has its My Cleat, My Cause going on right now and plenty of Eagles will be wearing cleats with causes that are special to them. Alshon Jeffery's are pretty cool.
3:54 p.m.: I just got to the parking lot and it's just a tad under 60 degrees right now. That temperature will probably drop some more when the sun goes all the way down, but it's pretty nice right now.
10:30 a.m.: How big is this game tonight? Well, according to FiveThirtyEight, if the Eagles win tonight, they will have a 28 percent chance of making the playoffs. If they lose, they'd have a 4 percent chance.
Here's more on the Eagles' playoff chances.
9 a.m.: Good morning, everyone! Time is going to drag all day as we wait for Monday Night Football from South Philadelphia.
This is obviously a huge game for the Eagles (5-6) against the Redskins (6-5) at the Linc. Now, the Cowboys ruined our original plan we concocted that would have led to a three-way tie atop the division with a win tonight. That Cowboys’ win over the Saints on Thursday hurt, but the Eagles are still alive in this thing. The problem is, it’s hard to feel confident in a team that hasn’t won back-to-back games all season. But maybe that changes tonight.
If the Eagles get a win tonight, it’ll start with these five matchups (see story). We’ll be updating the live blog all day until kickoff tonight.
Be sure to watch Eagles Pregame live at 6:30 p.m. and tune in after the game for our complete breakdown on Eagles Postgame Live.

Come together: Super Bowl Sunday, the last stand of live TV
Oh sure, there’s plenty of evidence to support the soothsayers who are predicting the slow, inevitable death of live television.
And there’s plenty of proof to bolster theories about the NFL’s slipping popularity.
But when it comes to clicking away from Super Bowl Sunday — forget about it.
Whether streaming it digitally, firing up the cable box or heading to a friend’s house for chips, dip and commercials, it’s a good bet that cord cutters, antenna owners and everyone in between can be found right where they always are on this day — gathered in front of the TV set in massive numbers.
Exactly as they were 40 years ago.
Exactly as they were 20 years ago.
Almost certainly as they’ll be 10 years from now.
Fact is, despite today’s rapidly fragmenting modern-day viewing audience, most people want to watch their sports live. The Super Bowl is the biggest event of the year. As such, it is, by almost any measure, the last bastion of nationwide communal TV-watching we partake in anymore.
Of the 10 highest-rated television programs in U.S. history, nine were Super Bowls and one was the finale of “M.A.S.H.”
“It’s an outlier because, unlike pretty much everything else, it’s not an event we think of as being disrupted by streaming,” said Vince Gennaro, who studies America’s viewing habits as a dean at the NYU Preston Robert Tisch Institute for Global Sport.
Or disrupted by anything else.
And so, just as the increased choice brought about by cable couldn’t do anything to deter Super Bowl viewing, neither, it seems, will streaming, cord cutting or the Roku-ization of the American public — not even among the younger audience. A survey last week of 2,800 fans by PCMag and Sports Illustrated found that 33 percent of respondents in the 18-to-24 age group said they would stream the Super Bowl this year. Most, however, planned to stream it straight to their television sets.
The survey found some concern among streamers who experience delays in their stream as compared to the live broadcast. But for the most part, their experience will be the same as watching it on cable — commercials and all.
That’s not to say the digitized nature of the 21st century won’t change some things.
“The idea of a Super Bowl party, with everyone sitting on their phone tweeting, is going to change the way we experience that Super Bowl party,” said Robert Thompson, the Syracuse pop-culture professor who will watch the game with pen and paper in hand, ready to take notes. “But it certainly doesn’t threaten it.”
What could threaten it?
Well, only two years ago, many Super Bowl stories (including this one by The Associated Press) warned of the potential beginning of the end of the NFL. The league was besieged by a concussion crisis, its own mishandling of domestic abuse cases, the still-fresh controversy over Colin Kaepernick’s kneeling during the national anthem, along with a steady stream of lackluster games that played as big a part as any in explaining the league’s diminishing ratings.
All the off-field issues still exist , with the added specter of a potential labor dispute two years down the road.
But the games were better this season, the ratings were up, and the season’s most high-profile mishap wasn’t related to player health or politics. Rather, it came on the field: the terrible no-call in the NFC title game .
Former CBS Sports president Neal Pilson was among the few who predicted ratings would rebound.
“The NFL had dramatically improved the schedule for Thursday and Monday nights,” Pilson said. “Plus, I thought the issues about the players were not going to be as big this year, and that turned out to be the case.”
Which is how we ended up with 18 of the top 30 most watched programs in 2018 as NFL games — much the same as the year before, and the year before that.
Maybe more telling: Last year’s Super Bowl between the Patriots and Eagles pulled in an average of more than 104 million viewers for a rating that was 250 percent higher than the No. 2 show on the list — the NFC title game from two weeks previous.
The Olympics bring people together, but they last more than two weeks and were held last year in a time zone half a world away. The opening ceremony was the 13th-most-watched program in 2018.
The Oscars used to command a massive audience, but last year, they tied for ninth and had their worst showing ever in the ratings.
“I’ve never received a call from someone wanting to talk to me about Oscar ads,” Thompson said.
The vast majority of Super Bowl ads don’t live up to the hype, even with a 30-second spot costing about $5.3 million.
Doesn’t seem to matter. Nor does it matter that one of the biggest drivers of the NFL’s popularity of late — fantasy — is essentially a non-event this week with only two teams playing. Straight-up gambling — legal or no, the Super Bowl is the most heavily wagered-upon event in sports — will more than make up for that.
To sum it up, everything we thought about TV, viewing habits and even the NFL itself gets turned on its head for this one, magical day.
No matter who’s playing or what the score, the Super Bowl makes us all get together and party like it’s 1979.
“It’s hard to evaluate the Super Bowl as a football game on any level,” Gennaro said, “because it’s so much more than that.”

10 things to watch out for as the new NFL season begins on Thursday night
Seven months on the New England Patriots & # 39; haunted Super Bowl LIII victory against the Los Angeles Rams in Atlanta, the new NFL season starts Thursday night in Chicago.
Two weeks ago, we had a draft, preseason and shock retirement in Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck, the expectation builds on five months of amazing games, linking moments and final play drama.
But what should you look out for in the pond this season? Sportsmail takes a look …
New England Patriot quarterback Tom Brady won his sixth Super Bowl ring in February
[19459118]
Kansas City Chiefs QB Patrick Mahomes will repeat its MVP standard season
1. Can anyone stop Tom Brady and the New England Patriots?
In their AFC East division, the weakest in the NFL, almost certainly not. In the AFC as a whole you would like to think that it is not an easy walk to a fourth straight Super Bowl.
But these are the Patriots. This is quarterback Tom Brady and coach Bill Belichick, the most formidable collaboration in the NFL for nearly 20 years. A franchise where success has been synonymous this century, they now have six Super Bowls – a joint NFL record with rivals Pittsburgh Steelers.
So, although the route from the Patriots to the playoffs is something of a banker, the challenge for them should be more resilient this year. The big expectation is for the Texans from Houston, who have swapped intelligently during the low season and hope for the breakthrough of this unpredictable DeShaun Watson season.
Aside from that, the Kansas City Chiefs, led by the brilliant Patrick Mahomes, will go again after their near-accident last season, and the Pittsburgh Steelers, Oakland Raiders and Denver Broncos must be competitive. More about Baker Mayfield, Odell Beckham and the Cleveland Browns later …
2. Power of NFC will provide fascinating entertainment
AFC conference has been a kind of crusade with one franchise, the NFC is stronger and therefore much more unpredictable.
It will be fascinating to see if the Los Angeles Rams can recover after their Super Bowl heartbreak last time. Similarly, after losing the Rams in the NFC Championship game, the New Orleans Saints can go one step further this year – perhaps the last hurray for the legendary quarterback Drew Brees to activate?
There are contenders everywhere, with the Eagles, Bears and the Seahawks all very strong – expect the unexpected as the NFC playoff prospects unfold
LA Ram's head coach Sean McVay led his team to the Super Bowl where they lost the Patriots
3. Can Kyler Murray get the cardinals ticked with double sport?
You may still remember around the April NFL version called 21-year-old Kyler Murray making headlines. He was the first person ever drafted in the first rounds of both the Major League Baseball Draft and the NFL Draft.
In the end, Murray chose football and was first generally accepted by the Arizona Cardinals. An extravagant personality, with similarities in both persona and playing style with Panthers QB Cam Newton, who sees Murray adapt to the NFL in his rookie year, and in an extremely strong NFC West division, will be an enlightening part this season.
4. Brit watch – on Christian Wade, but Efe Obada leads contingent
Former wasp winger Christian Wade has recently been in the headlines for some impressive cameo performances while playing for the Buffalo Bills in the preseason. If you've never seen Wade's 60+ yarddowndown during his first NFL game, watch it on YouTube – it's pretty special.
Despite that flash of excellence, the predicted Wade did not make the 53-man Bills team for the coming season, but was retained in the exhibition team. By the way, there are a few other Britons who thrive in the NFL …
Efe Obada is a defensive end for the Carolina Panthers and was the first player of the International Player Pathway Program to make a regular season selection last year – he signed a one-year extension in January. Winner of the Super Bowl Jay Ajayi is currently a free agent, but the decline can still be reported – the Texans are one of many franchises associated with the London-born assault weapon.
Christian Wade received the game ball after his debut touchdown in the preseason for the accounts
5. Tottenham & sparkling new stadium houses NFL for the first time
One year later than planned, Tottenham & # 39; s stunning stadium with 60,000 players will host two NFL games in October, with Wembley Stadium also two.
It will be a decent opening when the Chicago Bears face the Oakland Raiders on October 6. Tottenham & # 39; s retractable field means that the game will be on the artificial grass, not the standard grass that we are used to seeing in Wembley or Twickenham.
A week later, the Carolina Panthers play the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. The Tottenham stadium offers a perfect setting for American Football, and will continue to do so with the two-year 10-year two-game-a-year contract. Who knows it might organize the franchise later in London …
6. Rule changes abundance sees & # 39; VAR & # 39; in the game
What is & # 39; clear and clear & # 39 ;? A sentence that is now the most important topic in Premier League football every week, the most important change to this season's NFL rules is that the sentence is used with regard to passing pass-through ratings.
Whether the call is for offense or defense, calls will be reviewed, but will only be reversed if there is clear and clear visual evidence that the statement on the field was incorrect & # 39 ;. Blurry.
Other rule changes include a 15-meter fine for illegal blindside blocks – & # 39; a blocker initiating forced contact with his head, shoulder, or forearm when his path moves toward or parallel to his own end line is & # 39; – stricter enforcement of offensive possession and 15-yard penalties for each team that enters someone who is celebrating and not a uniformed player
7. The farewell final to Oakland before Las Vegas moves
After 45 years and two separate stints in Oakland, the Raiders play their final season at the bay for a delightful move to Las Vegas next season.
Head coach Jon Gruden struggled in his first year since returning to the team, when the Raiders ended with a record of 4-12 at the bottom of the AFC West.
Not surprising considering the amazing 10-year contract signed on the return of Gruden in 2018, the owners have remained faithful. Former Steelers broad receiver Antonio Brown has been added, but the bizarre preseason rivals that he is not allowed to wear his old helmet, essentially corresponds to the lack of clarity at the moment in the organization.
All NFL purists would like the Raiders to end their time in Oakland with a play-off spot, but in a strong division with the Chiefs, Broncos and Chargers, it seems unlikely that they will occur.
The virtual look at the Allegiant Stadium of Raiders in Las Vegas , currently under construction
8. What is happening at the Cleveland Browns this year?
After years of consistent failure, Cleveland Brown supporters are understandably a bit more optimistic this season.
The Star Purchase of Odell Beckham Jr. of the New York Giants, coupled with abrasive young quarterback Baker Mayfield bedding in his second season, means that the Browns are definitely worth watching from week to week.
They are perhaps more characteristic games than characteristic victories, but in a division with a weaker Steelers outfit, an equally unknown amount in a Lamar Jackson-led Ravens and a clear fourth best in the Bengal, it is not inscrutable that the notoriously most failed franchise of the NFL could sneak into the playoffs in 2019.
Master of the one-handed catch Odell Beckham was traded to the Cleveland Browns
9. 53 Super Bowls, zero champions in their own stadium … and do not expect this fascinating NFL statistic to change this year
It is an intriguing and somewhat inexplicable , always NFL fact. No team that hosts the Super Bowl has ever won the Super Bowl that year.
Well, if they decided to organize the Super Bowl at the Gillette Stadium of Patriots (which they never did), that may change. But unfortunately, many franchises have come close – the most recent were the Vikings the previous season, who lost in the AFC Championship game to the final Lombradi winners the Philadelphia Eagles – but none made it.
This season, the Hard Rock Stadium is organizing the showpiece of NFL, the home of the Miami Dolphins. Unfortunately for all Dolphins fans, there is an argument to say that the Dolphins are the least likely franchise in the NFL to make the playoffs this year. Unintelligent transactions, along with the same division as the Patriots, means that it would be one of the all-time shocks if the Brian Flores team were in their own stadium from 2 February 2020.
10. The importance of one player in a 53-man team should not be underestimated
All over line of this season, the influence of explosive, game-changing players – especially in offenses – among numerous teams will ensure engaging weekly viewing every Sunday evening.
In addition to the aforementioned, Ezekiel Elliott, who is declining, finally signed a new contract with the Dallas Cowboys, which pose a threat to the creativity of Dak Prescott at QB. Co-running backs Alvin Kamara (New Orleans Saints), David Montgomery (Chicago Bears) and Saquon Barkley (New York Giants) are certainties to score the extent of this year's touchdowns.
But it's in the quarterback where the magic happens. Can last year's MVP Patrick Mahomes match or even better his 50-touchdown total last year with the Chiefs? Will Aaron Rodgers be able to crack the playoffs after a barren spell with the Green Bay Packers? Matt Ryan of the Falcons has the potential to recreate his 2017 MVP winning season and feed the brilliant receiver Julio Jones.
Those, and many more questions, will gradually unravel over the next three months.

2020 Mock Draft 2.0
Less than one week away from perhaps the most unusual and bizarre NFL draft we’ll ever witness. At the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter how the draft happens, just as long as it does.
Fair warning, I fully expect the actual draft to look nothing like this one. I’m anticipating numerous trades and head scratching picks come next Thursday night. And while it may not be conducive for me to not include trades, it is simply too unpredictable so I’ll be selecting for each team with the order as is.
Here we go.......
1. Cincinnati Bengals - Joe Burrow, QB, LSU
Ahem.
2. Washington Redskins - Chase Young, EDGE, Ohio State
While there have been rumors speculating a possible trade down or surprise selection of a QB, they are simply just that, rumors. Young is the most talented player in this class top to bottom. He checks every box as a prospect and would bolster an already impressive front seven for the Skins.
3. Detroit Lions - Jeff Okudah, CB, Ohio State
Here’s where the draft gets fun. The Lions are a team I expect to be highly active come draft night. A trade back here with a QB needy team such as LAC or Miami would not surprise me at all. However, in the case of this mock, we are assuming Detroit holds at three which would leave them the nice consolation prize of Okudah. He can fill the void left by Darius Slay and would instantly be the best DB on that roster.
4. New York Giants - Tristan Wirfs, OT, Iowa
Yet another team I expect to be clinging to their phones come draft night. But in this scenario, I’d expect them to go with either Isaiah Simmons or their highest rated tackle. The nod goes to the freaskishly athlethic Wirfs, who although shows glimpses of his high upside potential, will need to fix his footwork and inconsistent timing with his punch hand in pass pro.
5. Miami Dolphins - Justin Herbert, QB, Oregon
It pained me having to type that out. With uncertainty surrounding Tua Tagovailoa and his concerning injury history, you can’t convince me the Dolphins will spend a premier pick on a question mark like him. Instead, they opt for the safer selection in Herbert, a high Football IQ and character driven player. His arm talent on film is evident, but his erratic tendencies and failure to make any big leaps throughout his four years as a starter are worrisome to me. This feels significantly too high for a player of his caliber, but this is the Dolphins we’re dealing with so nothing shocks me anymore.
6. Los Angeles Chargers - Tua Tagovailoa, QB, Alabama
The real QB1 finally goes off the board, Is there risk inherited with this pick? Absolutely. But for a team with a talented roster on the cusp of making a playoff run, they lack a true franchise QB to elevate them to that level. Enter Tua. One of the best short/intermediate processors to declare in years. His feel for the pocket and ability to throw wide receivers open are both translatable traits that he performs very well on a consistent basis. He isn’t everyone’s cup of tea, but the reward outweighs the risk to me here.
7. Carolina Panthers - Isaiah Simmons, LB/S, Clemson
After shipping off Trai Turner and Cam Newton, it is very clear that Matt Rhule and the Panthers want to rebuild starting from the ground up. After Luke Keuchly’s sudden retirement this offseason, an already depleted run defense just got even worse. Simmons is a dynamic athlete with high football character who can plug and play from day one. This pick is just as much culture based as it is talent, as they add the local product to a defense in dire need of a spark heading into 2020.
8. Arizona Cardinals - Jedrick Wills, OT, Alabama
An absolute mauler. Wills is head and shoulders the best run blocker at his position in this draft. After recently investing into Marcus Gilbert and finalizing a blockbuster trade with Houston for Deandre Hopkins, this allows Steve Keim the wiggle room to draft for talent instead of need. Adding a stalwart to the left side of that offensive line would serve as a good insurance policy for Kyler Murray.
9. Jacksonville Jaguars - CJ Henderson, CB, Florida
Hey Jags fans, remember a guy named Justin Gilbert who also went top ten a couple years ago? Well I found his brother. All jokes aside, Henderson is sticky in man coverage and adds superb athleticism to an already elite frame. The cupboard is bare for the Jags corner back depth chart, and this pick would help fill a gaping hole at corner.
10. Cleveland Browns - Andrew Thomas, OT, Georgia
The best OT in the class. The three year starter at Georgia saw snaps at both left and right tackle over the course of his career. Thomas won’t wow anyone with his athleticism, but his technically sound form and plus footwork should allow for an easy transition to the league.
11. New York Jets - Jerry Jeudy, WR, Alabama
A bit of a conundrum here for me. I love Jeudy’s talent. It is undeniable. But I simply don’t see him being a team’s No.1 WR early in his career. Unfortunately for the Jets, they failed to resign Robby Anderson in free agency and are now left with a huge void. They opt for the best route runner in the draft and an optimal WR2 in today’s game. His ability to create separation at the line of scrimmage is already among the best at the position in the NFL. He does get into a habit of letting the ball travel into his body too much, but considering the amount of space he creates before the ball is thrown, it doesn’t worry me too much. As much as he appears to be a slam dunk prospect on tape, not having another receiver on the outside to complement his best traits could prove to be dire for Jeudy in this situation.
12. Las Vegas Raiders - Ceedee Lamb, WR, Oklahoma
Did you see the picture I used for this article? Then you understand why this makes sense. Look, Lamb just FEELS like a Raider. Given their need for a true WR1 and Gruden’s style of preferred receiver, this almost feels like an arranged marriage. Lamb's YAC skills and football IQ should be coveted by Gruden/Mayock.
13. San Francisco 49ers - Henry Ruggs, WR, Alabama
Speed. Speed. And more speed. If Kyle Shanahan showed us one thing last season, it’s that he doesn’t mess around when it comes to speed. Ruggs displays absurd play speed and athleticism. I trust Shanny’s savviness as a coach to able to get Ruggs the ball any way possible. Pair him next to Deebo Samuel and allow George Kittle to eat over the middle. Good luck, defenses.
14. Tampa Bay Buccaneers - Mekhi Becton, OT, Louisville
This is yet another draft slot that I anticipate should change between now and Thursday. The Bucs went out and made a big splash, signing six time super bowl winner Tom Brady. GM Jason Licht has made it very clear: we want a ring. With that being said, I can see the Bucs trading up to ensure they land the best tackle on their board. In this case, they sit tight and still late a behemoth in Mekhi Becton. The 6′9 specimen does a good job of using his freakish length to his advantage. There are occasional mental lapses, but once he gets his hands on you, it’s a wrap.
15. Denver Broncos - Derrick Brown, IDL, Auburn
Tough scenario here for Denver. The top three receivers and top four tackles are all off the board. Instead of reaching for need, the Broncos elect to go BPA, which just so happens to be Brown. Brown is an absolute hog molly who will immediately help reset the defensive interior. His presence on the inside with Von Miller and Bradley Chubb on the outside can help give offensive coordinators fits for the next five years.
16. Atlanta Falcons - Javon Kinlaw, IDL, South Carolina
The medical concerns here are real. Kinlaw raised concerns following an injury related dismissal from the senior bowl. With cloudiness surrounding his future, a Mo Hurst-esque slide wouldn’t surprise me in the least bit. With that being said, Kinlaw’s burst and explosiveness are easily the best in the class. His pure brute strength and first step allowed him to win majority of his reps at South Carolina. Once he develops a few counter moves in his arsenal, watch out.
17. Dallas Cowboys - AJ Terrell, CB, Clemson
Barring one of the top three receivers falling to this spot, i firmly believe that this will be the pick. Following the departure of Byron Jones, a sudden need has emerged at cornerback. Given the depth at the position in this draft, a reach for need at this spot feels highly likely. Terrell is infamously known for his horrible game against Jamar Chase and LSU in the national championship, but I feel the hatred for him as gotten absurd. His body of work outside that game should speak for itself. He’s an intelligent and physical player with the long speed neccessary to stay attached on routes down the field.
18. Miami Dolphins - Ezra Cleveland, OT, Boise State
A late bloomer in the draft process, Cleveland has sky rocketed up boards since the combine. He showed quality tape but his combine and high football character find himself as a top 20 pick. Brian Flores is beginning to show a tendency to target high character Football players, and Cleveland fits the billing.
19. Las Vegas Raiders - Kristian Fulton, CB, LSU
Mayock strikes again! The Raiders need for quality corners is no secret, and being that Mike Mayock and drafting college players from high profile schools are synonymous, all signs lead to this being the selection. Fulton is a smart, scheme versatile corner whose prowess in man coverage should serve immediate dividends to a team lacking players with that ability.
20. Jacksonville Jaguars - K’Lavon Chaisson, EDGE, LSU
With the impending departure of Yannick Ngakoue, it wouldn’t surprise me to see them spin the wheel with Chaisson. His lack of production for his caliber of athlete is a bit confusing, and given the lack of success from former players who tested similarly, his outlook does not bode well. However, his first step alone is worthy of the selection. He has rockets attached to his shoes, and his initial burst off the line can be mind boggling at times. He is still a work in progress, but if he can fully tap into his potential, the sky is the limit.
21. Philadelphia Eagles - Patrick Queen, LB, LSU
I know I know, it’s not a receiver. But Howie Roseman is smart, and although their depth at receiver does need to be addressed, their need at linebacker might be even more daunting. Queen, the one year starter, is a former RB who displays elite instincts. He’s a very fluid mover in coverage, and will spend his entire rookie season at age 20. Easy pick here for the Eagles.
22. Minnesota Vikings - Josh Jones, OT, Houston
A dream fit here. Jones is a light mover whose quick feet and athleticism in the open should translate nicely with the Vikings zone run scheme. He needs to get better about playing too tall at times, but Jones should plug right into that offensive line and serve as a contributor from day one.
23. New England Patriots - AJ Epenesa, EDGE, Iowa
This screams Patriots to me. Epenesa is a plus run defender who is still just tapping into his potential as a pass rusher. He offers exceptional length and plus power. His versatility on the line should prove useful to Belichick, who is notorious for targeting edge guys with the ability to work from the interior.
24. New Orleans Saints - Justin Jefferson, WR, LSU
I was very tempted to go Kenneth Murray here but I can’t pass up the opportunity to keep an LSU kid in the bayou state. Drew Brees isn’t getting any younger, and the window for a Saints super bowl with him at the helm seems to be closing by the minute. Jefferson can play both in the slot and out the outside if needed. His ability to get open and find spacing in the short/intermediate pass game is a highly coveted trait in today’s NFL. Adding him to an already stable core or Michael Thomas and Emmanuel Sanders would finally give Brees all of the firepower needed to make a final run for glory.
25. Minnesota Vikings - Brandon Aiyuk, WR, Arizona State
A true big play threat. Aiyuk is not a perfect prospect by any means, as what he does with the ball in his hands is light years better than what he does without the ball in his hands. Aiyuk is still learning to play receiver, and his inconsistencies with getting off press coverage and catching contested passes are big knocks on his profile. With that being said, the dude is a freak of nature when he gets the ball in his hands. His big play flashes last year were mesmerizing, as he displays elite breakaway speed and rangy ball skills at times. While there is plenty to like about his YAC ability and athletic, he’s certainly a risk at this spot.
26. Miami Dolphins - Yetur Gross-Matos, EDGE, Penn State
Gross-Matos is an underrated prospect in the class in my opinion. He was highly productive at Penn State and put together a nice athletic profile in the process. The lack of pass rush in Miami is eye opening, and with three picks in the 1st round, addressing pass rush should be a priority here.
27. Seattle Seahawks - Marlon Davidson, IDL, Auburn
I don’t know what position Marlon Davidson will play in the league. He can be a penetrating 3-tech, or be a hand in the dirt pass rusher from the edge. All I know is that he is a natural disruptor, and being that Jadeveon Clowney remains unsigned and 2019 first round selection LJ Collier appears to be a bust, this mold of player also fills what now becomes a need for Seattle.
28. Baltimore Ravens - Kenneth Murray, LB, Oklahoma
I truly wish that I could love this pick for Baltimore. The Ravens have recently shown a penchant for Oklahoma players in the draft (Hollywood Brown, Orlando Brown Jr., Mark Andrews), and given the need at linebacker, this makes a ton of sense, right? Well, sure it does. Murray is a rangy linebacker whose burst flies off the screen. Not to mention he is a plus leader and human off the field as well. But he is legally blind. Too many times did I see a rep where he filled the wrong gap or fell for a fake. His mental processing just simply isn’t there, and while he has the athleticism at times to make up for his mental errors, I just simply can’t see him sustaining success unless he makes serious leaps as a processor.
29. Tennessee Titans - Jordan Love, QB, Utah State
Why not? Sure, they have other needs. But they just paid Ryan Tannehill $100m with no foreseeable backup plan. Love needs to go to a good team in order to succeed. His supporting cast at Utah State in 2019 was truly abysmal, and I believe was a major detriment to both his on field performance as well as his confidence. Love is an athletic, toolsy QB who personifies the new prototype of NFL quarterbacks. He has potential to be the steal of the draft, and the Titans have a good enough cast and coaching staff around him to make it possible.
30. Green Bay Packers - Laviska Shenault, WR, Colorado
This goes against everything I told myself, but here we are. It is no secret that the Packers typically avoid skill players in the first round. But, for the first time since 2002, they choose that route. Shenault is a gadget style receiver with great size and athleticism. Shenault is best when he can get the ball and let his YAC ability flourish in space. He is very raw as a route runner and still learning the nuances of the position, but he is the type of playmaker that can elevate both Aaron Rodgers and the Packers’ offense immediately.
31. San Francisco 49ers - Cesar Ruiz, OC, Michigan
Starting center Weston Richburg is still nursing a torn patellar tendon, and the interior OL depth is dwindling. Ruiz is a highly intelligent player with tons of experience. He is not the sexiest pick, but a very smooth mover in the open field that would slide ideally into that offensive line unit.
32. Kansas City Chiefs - Jaylon Johnson, CB, Utah
Chiefs take a swing at the best available corner. Johnson boasted impressive tape this season and his length and football IQ are two qualities that I’d expect GM Brett Veach to be chomping at the bit for.
Thank you guys for reading! Hope you enjoyed the content and that all of your are staying safe during the quarantine. Cheers!

Westgate, Season to date NFL and College football records, Westgate top and bottom 5, November wagering breakdown, updated political odds. And some thoughts on it all:)
New Post has been published on https://www.rickjshandicappingpicks.com/30554-2/
Westgate, Season to date NFL and College football records, Westgate top and bottom 5, November wagering breakdown, updated political odds. And some thoughts on it all:)
We are heading into week 13 of the Westgate NFL Contest and I sit at 33-27 or 55%. Last week I went 3-2 and I started out this weekend with a loss on Atlanta +7 Thursday night.
In college football, we went 4-2 for the weekend bringing our season to date record to 31-21-1 or a solid 59.61%.
In the NFL for plays last week we went 2-2 bring our season to date record to 13-14. This includes the Thursday night game.
My picks in the Westgate NFL Supercontest this week are:
Atlanta +7 (L) Minn +3 Houston +3 KC -10 Rams -3
Not a good week for picks and my best Atlanta has already gone down:(
The Westgate Top 5 last week went 4-1 bringing its season to date record to 30-28-2.
The Westgate top 5 this week are:
Green Bay New England San Fran Jets Arizona
I am fading 2 or the top 5 and not with any of them. That is how I like it:)
The bottom 5 this week are:
Detroit Atlanta Wash Giants Denver
I am on one of the bottom five and it has already lost.
November is now over and we find ourselves +7.65 Units for the month. It was an interesting month with the Standout being the NBA where we picked up 11.8 UNITS helped by a new wager I have this season, first half sides. so far they were 8-1 in November:) The disappointing sport this month was college hoops where we lost 7.3 units hurt by the sides that went 1-8:( What was a solid setup was dismal in November. Also, the college totals which typically are solid in November we went 5-5 for -.5 units.
I expect things to pick up in college hoops. In sports betting things do not always run true to form as you know, especially those that have been with me for over 15 years now:) Time flys and I can say I am among the few sports handicapping that can show a nice profit handicapping sports every day for 15 years.
I attribute the reason for being that I am always looking for new edges. Overnight sides in MLB was a real winning addition. And now we have the first half sides in the NBA. College football is always solid, and the NFL is always solid, except this season we are slightly below break-even.
All you can do is keep plugging away: If I ever find myself where I do not think I have an edge anymore I will hang it up. So far I am a long way from that. I enjoy the mental exercise of handicapping as its one of the toughest endeavors you will find. I assure you well over 90% of the sports bettors lose money betting sports. That number is probably a bit low. So it takes research, patience, good respect for variance and good money management to stay in the game.
Now, let’s take a look at the political odds:
This is something new for me. I took an interest in it when I found that the lines were created primarily by public opinion as opposed to reality. I say that as the lines more often than not reflect polling (not internal polling) and it’s my opinion that these polls are mostly worthless. Like everything else, they have become politicized and used as a tool rather than an accurate representation of what reality is. Combine that with the idea that many bettors use the polls and the media as a guide to for an opinion on a wager and the end result is value…..not a little value but in many instances more than you will ever find in sports betting.
I started out with political betting at the poker tables where I would make political wagers with the players. After winning almost every wager, I found it difficult to find any more takers:) So I left it alone for a while, but now political wagering is becoming mainstream, with line put out at many books. In addition, there are sites like predictit.org where they have lines on almost everything. Now there are some sharp bettors on the site but for the most part, what you get is what you find at the poker tables:) So I am back in the game.
Trump impeached by the end of 2019: 43/57 -4 Pts
Trump impeached by the end of his 1st term: 78/22 – 2 Pts ( I expect this to happen)
Senate convicts Trump in 1st Term: 14/86 +1 Pt (This is the one to watch) Staying at the lows
Trump to get the Republican nomination: 85/15 +4 Pts (Another one to watch) A new high
U.S. Presidential winner:
Trump: 44/56 + 2 Pts Warren: 10/90 – 4 Pts Biden: 14/76 No Change Buttigieg 13/86 No Change Sanders 10/90 No Change Bloomberg 7/93 -1 Pt Clinton 4/97 No Change
Giuliani will not be indicted before 12/31/20 31/69 -9 Pts I laid 38/62
I planned on selling This wager with a 10% to 20% gain after the IG report hits or the Durham report hits. That should send this higher. But the media is pounding Rudy so it looks like I will be in this one longer then I expected. I still think this is an excellent wager getting almost 5 to 2 at this point.
There will be a lot happening between now and Dec 9th when the IG report hits. The spin will be 24/7, most if not all will be misleading or false. The House will be back in session this week with both the Schiff and Nadler pressing full speed ahead. Then Dec 9th the IG report and Dec 11th Horowitz will testify in the Senate. That may well be a game-changer. We will see:)
Then of course there is Durham, the silent prosecutor who now has a grand jury.
It’s still not too late to join us as we are in the middle stages of the NFL and College football with college hoops just beginning. In addition, the NBA first-half wagers have been on fire, something like a 6-0 run:) All subscriptions have a 3-day free trial. Just go to the PayPal drop-down menu on this site and choose the monthly option. Hope to see you join us!
Good Luck Today:)

Just when you thought it was safe to relax, for no further new TV shows were coming to humbly request your eyeballs, The CW decided to start premiering most of its shows this week.
The tiny network — home to some of TV’s best shows, like Jane the Virgin and Crazy Ex-Girlfriend — traditionally waits for October to debut its series, where they can premiere slightly outside of the biggest crush of fall TV season. But with the network expanding to Sunday nights for the first time this fall, it’s got more new series to flaunt than usual, to say nothing of all of its returning shows.
Thus, this week, we offer thoughts on The CW’s new high school drama All American, as well as its reboot of the venerable witch show Charmed. Finally, we have thoughts on HBO’s new series from Girls producers Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner, Camping, which also marks Jennifer Garner’s return to TV.
Few of these shows are great, and as critics, we often have limited information on whether they’ll get better. (It’s rare to impossible for broadcast networks, especially, to send out many episodes for review beyond the first couple.) But there’s something in all of these shows worth checking out, especially if you’re a particular fan of their genres.
(A note: We’ve only given ratings to shows where we feel we’ve seen enough episodes to judge how successful they will be long-term.)

Who doesn’t like a teen drama about a boy from an underprivileged background getting a hand up into the world of the rich and comfortable? It’s been the story of many, many teen soaps over the years, but perhaps most famously on The O.C., where Chino-born Ryan Atwood found himself suddenly living among the spoiled and pampered denizens of Orange County.
The CW’s new series All American takes that format and mixes it with Friday Night Lights for one of the strongest new dramas of the fall. It has its rough edges, but there’s something hard to beat about a good-hearted kid discovering the excesses of money and power, while those who have the money and power discover just how much they have in common with the new kid.
At the center of All American is Spencer (winning British newcomer Daniel Ezra), a football star at South LA’s public Crenshaw High. Spencer is black, and he comes from a majority-black neighborhood. (He’s also based on the real NFL player Spencer Paysinger.) When a coach for a Beverly Hills high school — played by Taye Diggs, who I never thought would make a great Coach Taylor but makes a great Coach Taylor — turns up to offer Spencer a chance at a role on a higher-profile team, Spencer worries about betraying his community before eventually realizing going to Beverly Hills could cement his future.
You can sort of see where this is going from there, but creator April Blair shows a refreshing willingness to keep the story moving throughout the first three episodes, unveiling a healthy dollop of plot twists and soapiness, while also giving her characters a whole lot of heart. Indeed, the twist at the end of the pilot takes the show from “pretty good” to “something I’ll give at least a season to figure itself out.”
There are issues here and there (the ensemble is perhaps a little too large for a show this young, and there’s way too much music to drive every emotional point home), but All American is an intriguing stew of teen soap tastes that taste great together. —Todd VanDerWerff
All American debuted Wednesday, October 10, on The CW and is available on the network’s website. Future episodes air Wednesdays at 9 pm on The CW.

For whatever reason, The CW’s new spin on Charmed has been embroiled in controversy over its status as a reboot starring brand new actors, rather than a revival starring the show’s original cast. And, sure, the original series has die-hard fans, and in a climate where seemingly every other popular show from the ’90s is being revived just as it was back then, it’s not hard to imagine a world where that happened with Charmed, too.
But if those disgruntled Charmed fans tune in to the new version, they’re likely to find a show that, despite a pilot that’s a bit of a mess, has the right elements in place to become just as fun as that earlier series (if not more fun — that original show could be a bit of a mess itself). Most importantly, Jessica O’Toole, Amy Rardin, and Jennie Snyder Urman (of Jane the Virgin fame), who developed this new Charmed, have nailed the single most important element of the show: the casting.
To make a show about three sisters who are witches — and so much more powerful when together than when apart — you really need three actors who simultaneously exude raw supernatural power and a sisterhood that feels real, not assembled right before shooting the pilot. (Even if you know that’s what happened.) And Madeleine Mantock, Melonie Diaz, and Sarah Jeffery absolutely seem like sisters, with all the attendant benefits and baggage that relationship carries.
Plus, revamping this show to be about a Latina family offers a subtly powerful twist on the idea of those without traditional political power having untapped reserves of raw power. The pilot could do more with this idea (and the series hopefully will), but at least the sisters never feel like they’ve been made Latina to score empty diversity points.
The pilot gets stuck trying to do too much, establishing the sisters’ powers and setting up a longer mystery about an unsolved murder and offering up a #MeToo metaphor as its monster of the week. But with this cast (including a very game Rupert Friend as guardian angel Harry) and smart writers behind the scenes, Charmed will hopefully find itself very quickly. —TV
Charmed debuts Sunday, October 14, at 9 pm Eastern on The CW.

Watching the four episodes of Camping that were sent out for review, I couldn’t help but think of another recent HBO series: Vice Principals. The shape of that series wasn’t immediately apparent in the first couple of episodes, and what it ended up being was vastly different from (and better than) what its beginning suggested. It rewarded the viewer for watching through to the end.
It seems as though Camping might fit a similar bill, though I would hesitate to presume that it’ll pull off the same gambit. Created by Lena Dunham and Jenni Konner, and adapted from the British series of the same name, Camping doesn’t really make any progress in the first half of its season.
The reasons to watch are apparent from the start: The cast is absolutely stacked, with Jennifer Garner simultaneously playing to type and against type as Kathryn, who works day in and day out to make her life as flawless and meticulously ordered as her Instagram account. David Tennant is perfectly cast as her husband, Walt; he’s as easygoing as Kathryn is wound-up, as embodied by his lankiness and penchant for bucket hats.
Filling out the rest of the group of friends (just imagine quotation marks around the word) out camping in celebration of Walt’s 45th birthday, there’s Ione Skye, Chris Sullivan, Janicza Bravo, Brett Gelman, Arturo Del Puerto, Juliette Lewis — there’s not a weak performance in the bunch.
Unfortunately, that’s not quite enough. By the season’s halfway point, Camping seems to be fixated on showcasing people behaving badly — whether on their own or due to outside influence — without necessarily having a larger point to make. It’s thin ice for any series to skate on, but even more so when a series asks its audience to invest in characters written to be annoying or self-involved. These people are poison to each other — why keep watching them?
A few moments shine — again, the cast is terrific, and manages to find bits of truthfulness in the way these characters tear at each other — but without a firm sense of plot or structure to keep it all together, the show falters. —Karen Han
Camping debuts Sunday, October 14, at 10 pm Eastern on HBO.
As mentioned, basically everything on The CW is back this week. (Some shows — notably Jane the Virgin — are being held for midseason, of course.) That includes the final season of Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (Friday at 8 pm), which kicks off with a bang, as Rebecca Bunch finds herself in prison. A happy ending to this saga might seem a stretch at this point, but we’d settle for a “mostly okay” ending, honestly.
If you love streaming shows, this is a hectic week, too. Netflix brings the terrific new cooking docu-series Salt Fat Acid Heat (Thursday), based on the book of the same name, and the superbly spooky Haunting of Hill House (Friday). Amazon, meanwhile, launches the first season of Mad Men creator Matt Weiner’s The Romanoffs (also Friday), while the new streaming service DC Universe unveils the gritty Teen Titans reboot Titans (whaddaya know, it’s debuting on Friday). We’ll have full reviews of some of these in the days to come.
If you’re a fan of podcast hosts, HBO launches its TV version of Pod Save America (Friday at 11 pm) and ABC launches The Alec Baldwin Show (Sunday at 10 pm), should you require a TV version of something originally designed to appeal to your earballs.
Finally, if you’re me (Todd), then the only thing you care about is adult swim’s Harvey Birdman: Attorney General (Monday at midnight), a brand new special reuniting the voice cast of the original Harvey Birdman: Attorney at Law, one of the great, silly spoofs of the 2000s. Sing it with me now! Whooooooo is the man in the suit? Whooooooo is the cat with the be-eak!

The OSG Report Week 4
Week 4 is going to be another exciting week with some big plays and big scores. So let’s not waste any time. Dolphins at -7 Patriots (47.5) Miami is unexpectedly off to 3-0 to start the season. Last week I completely ignored a very reliable source that said the Dolphins are the value stack of the week and boy was he right. Tannehill connected with 3 different receivers for a TD. Tannehill at his price 289 yards. 3TDs. Will take it. I would not bank on it yet but this game represents one of the higher Totals of the week. They are road dogs which is never good. If I had to pick a play it may be Tannehill naked ✅without the stack as he is spreading it around. If you play multiple lineups in tournaments then yes you can stack each WR across different lineups and look for the big plays. For what it’s worth, ✅Kenny Stills gets the best WR/CB matchup rating in the game, and in a short sample size New England is next to last in fantasy production to the number 1 receiver✅. The backfield is a fade until they feature Drake only as oppose to split work with Frank Gore. I wrote in my week 1 article that New England never looks good in September. Here we are 1-2. Dominated on Monday night by their old D coordinator. And people doubting them once again. They have are limited in their WR corps. We do not know if Gordon is ready to play. Edelman is still out which allows any defense that watched Monday night to know what to do. Double team Gronk. Stay on Hogan and dare NE to beat you with anybody else. The only consistency we have seen is the first round draft pick Sony Michel✅ run the ball effectively and continued use of James White in the passing game. It will take your own choice here to decide if NE corrects the ship and scores points, or does Miami’s run continue? If you think New England corrects it then, Michel, White and Gronk✅are the plays here. If they move the ball into the red zone (which didn’t happen Monday night) TDs will come from one of these three guys. I do not believe Brady is worth the price this week as there are plenty of QBs in play this week at lower prices with similar ceilings. Texans at -1.5 Colts (47) I am trying to figure out why as of Thursday the Colts are favored here. I have been waiting on a break out game from The Texans offense and it hasn’t happened. Watson has put up respectable numbers the past two games, but nothing that will get you to the top of a tournament. So new notebook rule is giving a few weeks for QBs coming off knee and especially ACL injury. ✅Some of it is so mental to “not get hurt” that the aggressiveness seems lower. IE Carson Wentz return. With that said this could be a bounce back spot. If New Orleans is the Coors Field of the NFL then Indy’s dome is the Texas Rangers in the heat. Dome plus bad defense =points. If there is a game (despite being division rivals) that Houston bounces back this is it. I cannot jump off the wagon now. ✅Hopkins gets the 2nd best matchup and ✅Fuller gets the 6th best WR/CB matchup on the board. If you have went in on Watson✅ to these receivers for weeks 1-3 stay on the train. One sneaky play could be the TE Ryan Griffin, ✅a position the Colts defense have funneled targets to. Personally I do like Fuller as the preferred target. The Colts on the other hand are difficult to figure out. Jack Doyle has been ruled and firmly places Eric Ebron✅ (unfortunately) in play this week. Hilton usually is a great play at home with big play ability. But Andrew Luck is throwing the ball 5 yards a pass. We are completely depending on him to break a big run after catch which is harder to predict vs a long catch and score which the Texans can easily give up. Hilton has a middle of the road matchup. Same as Houston, this is however a perfect bounce back spot. The Texans secondary is very beatable. The Colts are favored. Houston in a short sample size is ranked dead LAST in fantasy points to the opposing TE.✅ Thank Gronk in week 1 for some of that however. So again you can sprinkle Eric Ebron ✅for the matchup and not his name. Bengals at -4 Falcons (51.5) The Bengals are easy to somewhat figure out in a great matchup. Gio Bernard ✅will once again be the only RB with talent vs one of the worst run defenses in the league so far, and traditionally a terrible defense (and now with injuries at LB) vs pass catching backs. He has seen 7 and 9 targets and we just saw Kamara catch 15 balls vs Atlanta. He’s no Alvin Kamara but ✅sometimes you just play the matchup. Kamara and McCaffrey together combined for 29 receptions and 236 receiving yards vs Atlanta✅. AJ Green is hobbled and could be a decoy. Tyler Boyd ✅at his price really is once again a must play in an excellent spot. Atlanta gives up production at the whole WR spot. The TE has been the least productive vs Atlanta. But at $4,600 on FanDuel ✅✅Tyler Eifert who just came off of an 8 target 6 catch game is almost a must play when in tournaments. He is too good of a talent in a game with a 51 total whose line is moving toward Cincy. Andy Dalton ✅can safely be stacked with any of those two targets if playing multiple entries. Atlanta is the type of defense that offers a ton of upside in a dome week in and week out. As much as Cincy is in play Atlanta is in play. Matt Ryan ✅may not be perceived as one of the best QBs in the NFL but he is a consistent fantasy producer. The frustrating thing is that he has been a QB that spreads the wealth in TD equity. Between the 20s it is Julio✅✅ all day. But in the red zone it’s wide open. Calvin Ridley✅ (who will not score 3TDs but is very talented) target share is rising every week. He has a talented RB coming out of the backfield in Tevin Coleman✅✅. Freeman has been ruled out so Coleman should dominate the running shares. Just a note. McCaffrey went 28 carries for 184 yards and he is “not that kind of RB”. Similar to Coleman in the same spot. Even Austin Hooper has some TD equity though low. All of Julio’s targets will pay off if he just can get in the end zone. For what it’s worth production against Cincy is much higher vs the WR2 as oppose to WR1. In regards to Ridley ✅✅he still is a fine play as he is a very talented WR and seems to be gaining momentum. But do not play him to chase 3TDs. Bills vs -10 Packers (45.5) This can almost be the same as last week. Josh Allen✅ is the 3rd cheapest QB (Sam Darnold and Marcus Mariota). He ran 2Tds and threw one and has a TD in each of his last two games. He is expected to be playing from behind against one of the worst secondaries in the NFL. It is very risky but offers a solid floor✅ in a good matchup. He is their Franchise QB and they are letting him play. You have no need to stack him since his running ability is a serious TD ✅threat. McCoy is a tournament dart as well due to Green Bay’s inability to stop the run. As bad as Green Bay’s defense is, Buffalo’s is not the best either. But NOT AS BAD as Green Bay. If the Packers are to lead this game it starts and begins with Aaron Rodgers ✅and any combo of him with Davonte Adams✅ and Geronimooooooooooo Allison✅. The Bills are worst vs the WR3 which Allison is classified as such. Cobb is getting the short end behind ✅Adams who is the 4th player since 2010 to have 5 catches and and TD in 5 straight games. If you have talent and you play with Aaron Rodgers there are 3-4 TDS available every single week. ✅ Lions at -3 Cowboys (43.5) I’m no Vegas genius but Dallas is favored somehow. The only usable and very usable piece is Ezekiel Elliott ✅✅✅. However the Cowboys must commit to feeding him 20 rushes plus a game. And continue to target him. His targets are 4,6, and 8 vs Seattle. The difference between my Sunday “just breaking even” and not crushing was Zeek stepping out of bounds before the TD catch. For that reason I’m going back to the well. There are no WRs to speak of in Dallas and among a few other higher priced RBs this is one of my favorite because I believe he will come at lower ownership in Tournaments. 20 rushes and 8 passing targets are appealing if you are a home favorite✅. Pairing him with the defense at a very low price vs a turnover prone Stafford is very appealing in tournaments✅✅ On the Detroit side we kind of have Detroit figured out. Stafford with Golden Tate ✅and ✅Kenny Golladay have been extremely effective. Russell Wilson and Tyler Lockett were highly effective vs Dallas so there is no reason to think that these two receivers cannot be effective. The number 1 & 3 receivers have been most effective in the short sample vs Dallas which once again leaves Marvin Jones out of the equation. Tate has 36 targets. Jones 23 and Golladay 28. So in multiple lineups any one of them could go. But I would much prefer Tate and Golladay. ✅✅ Jets at -7.5 Jags (38.5) With so many games this is an easy pass. If anything Quincy Enunwa✅once again at his price. The matchup vs Jax is not the best but his operation in the slot avoids the Jags best pass corners. He does grade out as having the 12th best WR/CB rating this week. ✅✅ Bucs at -3 Bears (46.5) Ryan Fitzpatrick has been amazing so far this season. Take away a tipped pass for an INT and another INT and they win on Monday night. Now they face a very talented defense and may be a bit limited. What people will have to decide if approaching this game for fantasy targets is which side are they on. The Fitz-Magic to keep rolling or see it on paper as a difficult matchup vs a tough Mack led defense. I may be mistaken but it is so many excellent spots on the board I’m going with the defense. With that said The Bears defense are an excellent play and right now that is week in and week out until further notice. They are priced as the 5th defense on FanDuel yet they are averaging more fantasy points than any other defense in the league! Next are the Jets, Browns, and Dolphins. Food for thought✅✅✅. The Bears have had 4, 6, and 4 sacks. 1, 1, and 3 INTs, and a forced fumble each week. Is Lovie ghost coaching?? But more so than shutting an opponent down, these are stats that produce fantasy points. Pairing them with Allen Robinson ✅or Trey Burton ✅to bounce back, or on their own is an excellent play. The Bucs are 7th worse so far vs the TE spot and for that reason I’ll go back to Burton here. He’s cheap and is in a good spot. Maybe he won’t stiff arm former Bear Chris Conte but Vance McDonald was wide open on that play to begin with. And after the stiff arm there was no Buccaneer in sight. Eagles -3.5 vs Titans (41) Tennessee is the land to send your team to die in fantasy world. Carson Wentz knee has to get comfortable before I’m confident rostering any Eagle right now. They are an easy fade for me this week with a 41 total. The only play I’m comfortable with is Zach Ertz ✅and backup and cheaper TE Dallas Goedert. ✅ He was 7/7 and scored and saw his snap rate jump to 67% last week. Maybe the TE is a comfort zone for a QB coming back. Fade Tennessee completely please. Save the grief. Seahawks -3.5 vs Cardinals (38.5) Call us all crazy but a few trusted sources like The Russell Wilson Tyler Lockett stack last week✅✅. Sometimes you need a game like last week to gain confidence. If we were willing to roll out Allen Robinson and Trey Burton why not Russ? I’m not going to go too crazy on them in a 38.5 total. But as favorites they can be viable. Chris Carson ✅ran 32 times last week and any RB that sees that volume must be considered in DFS. Arizona traditionally plays Seattle close but this is not the same defense or team as years past. Please do another favor and fade Arizona. We could mention David Johnson here. But give me Zeek and Barkley all day. Browns vs -2.5 Raiders (45) The game that will lose or win a tournament perhaps. When we think of cheap QBs this week. It’s either Josh Allen or Baker Mayfield✅✅. Most people I think will go Mayfield and with good reason. Why was the Dolphins value stack a success last week? Because they played Oakland-less Khalil Mack and a bad defense. If you fade Cleveland it is on the ownership numbers and the notion that Gruden just can’t let it happen to them. Jarvis Landry✅ is being peppered with targets week in and week out. He has the 14th best WR/CB matchup this week. Rashard Higgins✅ at his price and Antonio Calloway✅at his price after seeing 11 targets last week are must plays if you’re rolling Baker out. Remember backup QBs worked with 1st and 2nd team WRs in the preseason. So any target is viable. Carlos Hyde✅ has scored every week including 2 TDS last week off 23 carries. Don’t forget David Njoku✅vs a slow LB corps. In short every offensive target is in play. We just have to dig deep into whom may be the best play and have the TD equity. On the Oakland side I’m not chasing Jordy Nelson’s performance. Cleveland’s defense “isn’t that bad”. They did keep New Orleans in the dome in check for the most part. I’m sticking with history here and playing the TE vs Cleveland. Jared Cook✅is a must play at TE. Please add him to your player pool. Lynch has provided a solid floor so far this season as well. But at that price just plug in Gio Bernard this week. Lynch is playable in the afternoon only slates. 49ers at -10 Chargers (46.5) People will be itching to play CJ Beathard vs The Chargers. In cheap QB terms I like Allen and Mayfield higher. But I understand. They will be playing from behind but I do believe The Chargers defense isn’t bad. CJ does have the rushing floor and was college roommates with George Kittle✅✅whom I’ve played week in and week out. If you have done so too, continue the trend. I would lean towards Matt Breida ✅as a play also being that he has shown Pass catching ability. Keenan Allen ✅✅gets the best WR/CB matchup this week. Which means Mike Williams ✅will catch two TDS again if you are superstitious. Before you jam in Melvin Gordon consider ✅Austin Eckler. He has been much more efficient than Gordon and has been a consistent part of the offense so far. They will either grind out the clock with Gordon✅ (highly possible) or run Eckler if the team is up which Vegas fully expects. Saints -3.5 at Giants. (50) Last but not least, The Saints. A model of consistency for the fantasy world. The question here though is can we trust the Saints outside on the road. Vegas certainly thinks so. If you do it’s really a straight forward play. ✅Brees. ✅Kamara. ✅Michael Thomas. A little bit of Ted Gin✅ low owned with plenty of TD upside. The Brees Kamara Thomas combo comes at a hefty price but their floors are so remarkably high each week it’s an easy cash game fit and maybe even tournament play. The talk this week seems to be playing down at QB which makes Brees a bit lower owned. ✅Thomas has the 3rd best WR/CB matchup this week behind only Keenan Allen and D. Hopkins. The Giants side can be tricky. We have been waiting for the offensive explosion from Odell Beckham. ✅✅ He is in a fantastic spot. But this season the spot to target New Orleans has been the WR2 spot. Did we see Calvin Ridley last week? While many may flock to Odell which can always work, fewer may see the value in Sterling Shepard. ✅✅ He is in the exact same spot as Ridley was a week ago. He saw 7 targets and finally found the end zone and with Evan Engram out the targets are available. He gets the 8th best WR/CB on the board, way ahead of Beckham. My favorite play here however will be Saquan Barkley✅✅. I love he and Kamara here and Zeek overall. He catches. He runs and vs a vulnerable defense he will be involved. I hate clicking on Eli Manning but he is certainly a deep tournament dart and playable on the afternoon only slates.
