Reasons I've seen lately for hating Solas-romancing Lavellan:
1. Lavellan is skinny in DAI (also mods exist for different body types)
2. The Inquisitor's associated color is green, which is the color of ENVY (ironically the type of demon who wanted to skinwalk the Inquisitor and was jealous of everything they had, much like some Rooks apparently)
3. Lavellan is "complacent" and a manic pixie dream girl for being able to go with Solas in the end of their romance that has taken 10 years IRL and in game to get a conclusion (don't question that some SR shippers want the exact same ending for their Rook and have even petitioned BW for it, this ending is only good if it's for Rook!!!)
4. Lavellan is "maimed"
5. Lavellan is "old"
6. Lavellan can leave the society that imprisoned her, sees her as less than a person because of her title and/or her race, can kill her entire clan due to human prejudice (!!!), and which she has worked tirelessly to save anyway during the past 10 years. Also if JoH is anything to go by the Chantry will probably erase her identity and say she was human.
7. The devs gender and race gated the romance (even though this was obviously mostly done for budget/time reasons and fem elf won the luck of the draw. Also masc Lavellan romance mod exists, it even has most of the VA). But even if these were Solas' preferences, how would that be Lavellan's fault?
I'll keep collecting these, they're good for a laugh.

Proverbs 8
1 Doth not wisdom cry? and understanding put forth her voice? (Mat 3:3, Joh 7:37)
2 She standeth in the top of high places, by the way in the places of the paths. (Mat 5:1)
3 She crieth at the gates, at the entry of the city, at the coming in at the doors. (Mat 22:9, Joh 18:20)
4 Unto you, O men, I call; and my voice is to the sons of man. (Mat 9:13, 11:15)
5 O ye simple, understand wisdom: and, ye fools, be ye of an understanding heart. (Luk 7:35)
6 Hear; for I will speak of excellent things; and the opening of my lips shall be right things. (Mat 5:2-12, Mat 7:28-29)
7 For my mouth shall speak truth; and wickedness is an abomination to my lips. (Joh 8:45-46)
8 All the words of my mouth are in righteousness; there is nothing froward or perverse in them. (Mat 7:29, Joh 7:45)
9 They are all plain to him that understandeth, and right to them that find knowledge. (Mat 13:11-12, Joh 6:45)
10 Receive my instruction, and not silver; and knowledge rather than choice gold. (Luk 12:16-21)
11 For wisdom is better than rubies; and all the things that may be desired are not to be compared to it. (Mat 16:26)
12 I wisdom dwell with prudence, and find out knowledge of witty inventions. (Mar 4:21-22)
13 The fear of the LORD is to hate evil: pride, and arrogancy, and the evil way, and the froward mouth, do I hate. (Mat 23)
14 Counsel is mine, and sound wisdom: I am understanding; I have strength. (Luk 21:15)
15 By me kings reign, and princes decree justice. (Mat 28:18)
16 By me princes rule, and nobles, even all the judges of the earth. (Mat 28:18)
17 I love them that love me; and those that seek me early shall find me. (Joh 14:21-23, Mat 7:7-8)
18 Riches and honour are with me; yea, durable riches and righteousness. (Mat 6:19-20, luk 10:42, Mat 6:33)
19 My fruit is better than gold, yea, than fine gold; and my revenue than choice silver. (Luk 12:32-34)
20 I lead in the way of righteousness, in the midst of the paths of judgment: (Joh 10:3)
21 That I may cause those that love me to inherit substance; and I will fill their treasures. (Mat 25:46, Joh 1:1-18)
22 The LORD possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.(Joh 1:1-2)
23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was. (Joh 17:24)
24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water. (Joh 1:14)
25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth: (Joh 1:1-3)
26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him; (Mat 3:17, Joh 1:18)
31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men. (Joh 4:34, Joh 13:1)
32 Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways. (Luk 11:28)
33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not. (Mat 7:21-27)
34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors. (Mar 13:32-37)
35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the LORD. (Joh 3:36, Joh 14:6)
36 But he that sinneth against me wrongeth his own soul: all they that hate me love death. (Joh 3:19-20, Joh 15:23-24)

August 17, 1809
Upsala, Thursday, August 17, 1809. This is more legible but less convenient and it makes but one copy. ’Twas a bad calculation to bring only that little book. How could I forget to tell you of a new acquaintance? Yesterday Mr. Turner, who is from good nature the cicerone of all strangers, told me that there was a traveler, a Prussian, who had a great desire to see me. He was brought up and presented. A man of about 34; a very intelligent and prepossessing countenance. His name, H. Barth. More I know not, but we are to meet in Stockholm. He speaks English fluently, is very chearful,¹ and has that amiable German frankness and bonhomie² which I do so love. Couch. h. au soi.³ at 10, but having drank a dish of coffee chez le Gouverneur⁴ could not sleep. Got up and dressed and walked abroad near an hour very fast to fatigue myself. I had before walked about five miles, but all to no purpose, so set me down to read the Latin edition of the Swedish laws. About 2 got asleep. Rose at 6. To Turnberg’s at 7. Found him dressed and our coffee was immediately served, brought in by a pretty maid, with dry bread. Afterwards, bread, butter, pickled eel, and smoked salmon, both very good, with brandy and cordials. Mr. T. took no brandy; we both drank water. He offered me a copy of his “Travels” in Swedish, which I very foolishly declined. He answered with great cheerfulness my questions about Japan. I had made notes so that nothing might be forgotten. Pray read his “Travels”; they will amuse you much and then you may question me. You may believe every word he writes. You are perhaps ignorant that in Japan women are as free as in any part of Europe and I think rather more so, but I cannot now (perhaps never) commit to writing all he says. Staid two hours. We exchanged abundance of civil expressions and have agreed to keep up an intercourse after my return to America. Home at 10. You know we are to go off this morning to Sigtuna. Called on the Governor to take leave. He was under the hands of his hair-dresser but would see me. Staid a few minutes. Did not see mademoiselles les baronnes.⁵ Engaged to see him in Stockholm, where he is to be next week. On my return home found Afzelius, Jr. He proposes instead of going now to Sigtuna to make a tour to the mines of Dannemora, which suits me perfectly well. Are to set off at 3 and return to-morrow. Called on Mr. Turner who gave me a great number of pamphlets by the different professors and other matters of curiosity and information. A basket of cherries and a very pretty note from Madame Afzelius la jeu.⁶ A watchman in the steeple with an immense speaking trumpet proclaims the hour throughout the day as well as the night and immediately after the clock strikes, in a melodious tone of which not a syllable is articulated. No line from Hosack in answer to those which I wrote him on Friday last. The young etudiant,⁷ Mr. Hoxsam, came in again. He has been to the Lässesällskap i handelsman⁸ Borell, where I shall be always welcome. The newspapers, foreign and domestic, are found there. Afzelius junior has sent me two more books on the ancient laws of Sweden. One, [by] Joh. O. Stiernhöök, “De Jure Svenorum et Gothorum Vestuto.” Lib. duo., Holmiæ: 1672.⁹ Second, “Leges Svecorum, Gothorum” per Doctorem Bagwaldum Ingemvrdi, Eccle., archid. Ubsalensis, an. 1681 latinatate primum donatæ—a new edition by Johannes Massenius; Stockholm: CIↃIↃCXIV.¹⁰ Third, “Ζαμολξις,” (I can’t make Greek letters as you can), Primus Getarum Legislator, etc., etc. Carolo Landio. Upsala: CIↃIↃCLXXXVII.¹¹
Si Venerem fugias frustra properabis ad arcton Hoc quoque, quis credat! climate regnat amor.²
1 So in the MS. 2 Good fellowship. 3 For [je me] couchai hier au soir. Retired last evening. 4 At the Governor’s. 5 The baronesses. 6 For la jeune. The young; hence the young Mrs. Afzelius. 7 For étudiant. Student. 8 Swedish. Reading-circle at the house of the merchant Borell. 9 Latin. “Concerning the Old Law of the Swedes and the Goths”; in two books; Stockholm: 1672. 10 “The Laws of the Swedes and the Goths.” First presented in Latin by Doctor Bagvaldum Ingemurdi, Ecclesiastic, Archdeacon of Upsala, in the year 1681. A new edition by Johannes Massenius; Stockholm: 1614 (An error. He must have meant to indicate 1714, or else the other date should be 1581). 11 “Zamolxis, first legislator of the Goths,” etc., etc.; by Carolus Landius, Upsala: 1687. 12 If thou wouldst flee love (Venus), in vain shalt thou hasten to the pole. In this clime, too—who would think it?—Love reigns. (Apparently Burr quotes from Ovid, but there are some suspicious features about the second verse.)
#burr i'm gonna hunt you for sport for the greek letters and the fucking reverse c i had to insert manually because OF COURSE it didn't ocr#also goes for you bixby and your 12 fucking footnotes#Aaron Burr#The Private Journal of Aaron Burr

LIGHT OF LIFE 611
John 1:4
DIVINE ORDER 176: WORKING ORDER 71
2Ti 4:5 But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, DO THE WORK OF AN EVANGELIST, make FULL PROOF of thy ministry. KJV
MAN MUST WORK 22: UNDERSTANDING JOB SPECIFICATION 7
This will be the last segment under this subtopic. We have discussed Job Compilation, Prioritization and now, let’s talk about…
3. Job Harmonization - Arresting Conflicts Within Your Jobs
When people don’t know what to call you, because your Calling is not obvious or you’re becoming a nuisance, you have to consider your stand.
There must be a summarized definition that people can give of you. They could be wrong outright, but they must be close.
Mar 8:27-28 And Jesus went out, with his disciples, into the little towns round Caesarea Philippi; and on the way he put a question to his disciples, saying, WHO DO MEN SAY THAT I AM? And they made answer, John the Baptist; and others, Elijah; but others, One of the prophets. BBE
Many people are employed into big organization under their professed capacities but later found to be useless, because they don’t have any idea how things run in such places.
With all the functions that Moses fulfilled, his role to mankind could be summarized as one…
Joh 1:17 THAT IS, THE LAW WAS GIVEN TO US THROUGH MOSES, but grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. ERV
It is mainly where you don’t know how to harmonize your various functions in life that your purpose becomes obscure and confusing to all, even your own family.
The whole problem is aggravated when a man infuses sinful pleasures into his list of functions.
Ecc 10:15-17 Fools wear themselves out— they don't know enough to find their way home. A COUNTRY IS IN FOR TROUBLE WHEN ITS RULER IS CHILDISH, AND ITS LEADERS PARTY ALL DAY LONG. But a nation will prosper when its ruler is mature, and its leaders don't party too much. CEV
The moment you input sin with your life, people will [gladly] forget all about the good you do and rather call you by your sinful name.
They say things like: “don’t mind that odious fool. All that fills his head is women”.
Now, if Jesus, who did good all through (Act 10:38), could be given an evil label, how much more you, if you engage in sinful practices?
Mat 11:19 The Son of Man came eating and drinking, AND THEY SAY, Behold a man who is a glutton and a winebibber, a friend of tax-collectors and sinners. BUT WISDOM WAS JUSTIFIED BY HER CHILDREN. MKJV
That last line indicates that people may hatefully call Jesus names, but His own people know what He stands for.
We can’t make excuses that people hate us if even in all the church, nobody can give a clear definition of what your life stands for.
Let’s not be fooled.
2Ti 3:10 But YOU KNOW ALL ABOUT my teachings, my way of life, my purpose, my faith, my patience, my love, and my endurance. GW
Timothy could give you detailed description of the personality, temperament, purpose and functions of Paul. This clearly shows that Paul was well coordinated in his dealings, right?
Now, you must be able, by God’s grace, to fulfill the demands placed on you in ALL your functions.
Don’t blame your wife when you get home and she doesn’t seem to understand all the stress you have had at work. She’s just asking for the lover, father, brother and friend in you, not the worker and boss.
2Co 6:3-5 WE DON'T WANT ANYONE TO FIND FAULT WITH OUR WORK, and so we try hard not to cause problems. But in everything and in every way we show that we truly are God's servants. We have always been patient, though we have had a lot of trouble, suffering, and hard times. We have been beaten, put in jail, and hurt in riots. WE HAVE WORKED HARD AND HAVE GONE WITHOUT SLEEP OR FOOD. CEV
When commendations come for you, each person gives you praise [only] based on [only] your functions that relate to them.
Your wife will say: “he is the best father, friend and lover”. Your company will say: “he is our most dedicated worker”.
If you have good testimony at work but a poor one at home, your functions are not harmonized or coordinated.
Wake up!
1Sa 8:1,3 In his old age Samuel appointed his sons as judges over Israel…But his sons did not follow his ways. Instead, they made money dishonestly, accepted bribes, and perverted justice. NET
One faulty arm of all your various functions could become the point where satan oppresses your cause in life. You must labour to keep all ends closed and tightly knit together.
God will keep all your works and relevance in life, above reproach, IN JESUS NAME.
See you on Wednesday, as we proceed with this interesting Subtopic.

The apostle John had in all his books a similar literary style and different to other books such as the gospels of Matthew, Mark, and Luke. This is why the first epistle of John can be considered a thematic continuation of the dialogue that occurred during a night between Jesus and a teacher of the law of Moses called Nicodemus; a dialogue that spoke of the importance of that new birth not according to water, but about the salt and the fire.
Because leading a life of righteousness ("Do to others what you would have them do to you" Matthew 7:12), after the first baptism is not enough to achieve or perceive the truth with the mind, that is why a special grace is needed, a charisma that makes men similar to God in essence, as Jesus taught: "Be perfect, therefore as your heavenly Father is perfect" Matthew 5:48. And the disciple John dealt about this spiritual fact in his first epistle, how God with his grace and mercy transform men; and this new birth according to the evangelist brings with it the new life promised by Jesus to the believers: "In this fellowship we enjoy the eternal life he promised us" 1 John 2:25.
This new birth is mentioned several times in the Book of Acts, from the miracle of the Christian Pentecost, to the descent of the Holy Spirit when the apostle Peter preached to Cornelius and his family in the city of Caesarea.
This new birth is the fructification of righteousness in human hearts, because righteousness is progressive; and this new birth is synonymous with the presence of the spirit of God, as an inner teacher, in men as the apostle taught: "You have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don't need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true—it is not a lie" 1 John 2:27.
This spiritual rebirth is in resume, as John explained it, the realization of true life and the commandment of love among men.

Secret History 7: Spicy Cinnamon
New Post has been published on https://qnews.com.au/secret-history-7-spicy-cinnamon/
Secret History 7: Spicy Cinnamon
In early 1977, budding criminal Geri Bellino travelled to Sydney to recruit strippers for his new Brisbane club, World By Night. Among his hires – Spicy Cinnamon, or Shirley, as many of us knew one of Brisbane’s best-loved entertainers over the next few decades.
I first saw Shirley on television. She was working for the Peter Moselle Revue, a drag show that toured regional Queensland. During a season at a Hervey Bay Club, local television station Wide Bay 8 recorded the show for later transmission.
Other than the showgirls being advertised as men, there was nothing very shocking about the show – typical English music hall.
Until the end – when – without warning – Shirley stripped stark naked right there on the tele – on a Sunday night.
Well, not actually stark naked. She still had on 3 small roses – one covering each nipple and the last decorating a thin line of pubic hair in her crotch.
Geri Bellino hired Shirley and seven other entertainers to perform similar acts at World By Night.
Public nudity was illegal in Queensland. Very little was legal in Queensland. Joh Bjelke Petersen, a holier-than-thou Lutheran farmer ran the place as his own personal fiefdom, and the northern state enjoyed renown as Australia’s most conservative jurisdiction.
Geri Bellino later claimed the strippers at World By Night were never actually nude because they wore pubic wigs – muffs. Now, perhaps they did. Maybe just that night. But I lived for a while with a couple of the strippers and spent many a drunken night in the club and never once saw a muff.
It didn’t matter, though, because Bellino and his lawyers had a secret plan ready for the night they inevitably got busted for public nudity.
Spicy Cinnamon
Spicy Cinnamon – Shirley – formerly of the Peter Moselle All Male Revue, was one of the four transwomen employed as strippers at World By Night. She was also one of the most popular performers – tall, statuesque, glamorous and possessed of the cheekiest grin this side of Las Vegas.
So when Bellino and the girls fronted court charged with willful exposure, the defence lawyers put Shirley on the stand first.
When the prosecution demanded harsh punishment for the terrible crime of exhibiting a vagina, the defense immediately called a doctor who testified that that was impossible. Shirley did not have a vagina.
Sadly, Bellino and his lawyers did not let Shirley in on their cunning plan.
“They’ve ruined me,” she told reporters, “To hell with it. I’m leaving this town and going to Sydney, where people are more understanding.”
Shirley told the media hers had been the best-kept secret in town.
“Now, all the customers will be out to give me a terrible time. I really couldn’t cope with that.”
But despite her misgivings, Spicy Cinnamon remained a popular drawcard. She was back on stage at World By Night the following night and for years to come. She also became a popular performer in drag shows.
And I saw her first on the tele!

Proverbs 1:20-33
20 Wisdom crieth without; she uttereth her voice in the streets: (Joh 7:37)
21 She crieth in the chief place of concourse, in the openings of the gates: in the city she uttereth her words, saying, (Mat 13:2, 54)
22 How long, ye simple ones, will ye love simplicity? and the scorners delight in their scorning, and fools hate knowledge? (Mat 17:17; Mat 23:37, Luk 19:42, Joh 3:20)
23 Turn you at my reproof: behold, I will pour out my spirit unto you, I will make known my words unto you. (Mar 1:15, Luk 11:13)
24 Because I have called, and ye refused; I have stretched out my hand, and no man regarded; (Mat 22:5-6, Mat 23:37-38)
25 But ye have set at nought all my counsel, and would none of my reproof: (Luk 7:30)
26 I also will laugh at your calamity; I will mock when your fear cometh; (Luk 14:24)
27 When your fear cometh as desolation, and your destruction cometh as a whirlwind; when distress and anguish cometh upon you. (Luk 21:23-26, 34-35)
28 Then shall they call upon me, but I will not answer; they shall seek me early, but they shall not find me: (Mat 7:22-23, Mat 25:10-12)
29 For that they hated knowledge, and did not choose the fear of the LORD: (Joh 3:20, Luk 10:42)
30 They would none of my counsel: they despised all my reproof. (Luk 14:18-20)
31 Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way, and be filled with their own devices. (Joh 12:47-48)
32 For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. (Luk 12:16-21, Luk 16:19-25, Joh 3:36)
33 But whoso hearkeneth unto me shall dwell safely, and shall be quiet from fear of evil. (Joh 10:27-29, Luk 21:9, 19)

Greetings in the matchless Name of our Lord Jesus Christ.
First John: DIVISION 04 - The Proof That One Really Loves God: Test 06: Loving One Another!
Rhema Word: I John 4:10-11 (NKJV) “In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”
Let us pray. Our Gracious Loving Father, thank You for giving us an opportunity to meditate Your Word today along with Your children who have been called to live a holy life, Father. I commit everyone who are all meditating this message into Your mighty hand Father. Bless them and give them the oneness of Spirit and make their heart as a good land to receive each Word which is living and active Father. Thank You Holy Spirit for helping us to understand the in-depth treasure of Your Word and helping us to live a life as per Your Word Lord. We give all the Glory and Honour to You only Father. We pray in the mighty Name of Your beloved Son Jesus Christ. Amen.
Introduction: To Whom Written:
To the church at large. Note there is no greeting farewell, or personal references that could reveal the recipients. This means a most wonderful thing: each local church can look upon First John as though the letter has been personally written to it. Tradition says that all three epistles were written from Ephesus where John pastored during the latter years of his life.
Purpose of this Letter:
Apostle John wrote to defend the faith and to strengthen the church against false teachers and heretical doctrine. John confronted the first stages of the same heretical teachings that Paul often confronted – the beginning stages of Gnosticism.
Special Features of Epistle First John:
(a) First John is “A General Epistle”. That is, it is not written to a specific church, but rather it is written to all Christian believers. It is “An Epistle Written From a Father to His Children.” It is written from the heart of a pastor who feels the tenderness of a father for his children.
(b) It is “An Epistle Combating False Teachers and Doctrinal Error”.
(c) It is “An Epistle of Christian Certainty or Assurance”. The phrase “we know” is used seventeen times to give assurance to the believer. The epistle assures the believer time and again that God has sent His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, into the world to save man (the incarnation). In addition, John assures the believer of eternal life. In contrast, the Gospel of John was written to stir faith “that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God…” (John 20:31).
(d) It is “An Epistle of Tests”. It was written to give the believer test after test by which he could prove whether he knows God. The tests also strengthen the believer’s faith and love for God.
(e) It is “A Personal and a Spiritual Epistle”. It is not written so much from a doctrinal point of view, although it is filled with doctrinal teaching. Its emphasis is personal righteousness, purity, love, and a knowledge and loyalty to Jesus Christ, the Son of God Himself.
(f) It is “An Epistle that Stresses Love” (1 John 2:7-11; 3:1-3; 3:11-17; 23; 4:7-21).
(g) It is “An Epistle that Stresses that Jesus Christ is the Son of God, the Messiah, the Anointed One of God” (1 John 1:7; 2:1,22; 3:8; 4:9-10, 14-15; 5:1,5,9-13,18,20).
(h) It is “An Epistle that Stresses that Jesus Christ Did Come As a Man” (1 John 1:1-3,5,8; 4:2-3. 9-10, 14; 5:6,8,20).
(i) It is “An Epistle that Stresses that Jesus Christ is the Saviour: He Did Die for Man’s Sins” (1 John 1:7; 2:1-2; 3:5,8,16; 4:9-10, 14).
(j) It is “An Epistle that Stresses the Spirit Living Within the Believer” (1 John 2:20, 27; 3:24; 4:13, 15-16; 5:12).
(k) It is “An Epistle that Stresses the Need for Separation From the World” (1 John 2:15-17; 3:1,3,13, 4:3-5; 5:4, 19).
(l) It is “An Epistle that Stresses Righteousness and Obedience to God’s Commandments” (I John 2:3-8, 29; 3:3-15, 22-24; 4:20-21; 5:2-4, 17-19, 21).
We have been meditating First John on the following five topics since last few weeks:
First John: DIVISION 01: The Great Testimony of John: The Son of God Has Come to Earth:
First John: DIVISION 02: The Three Misconceptions of Man:
First John: DIVISION 03: The Proof That One Really Knows God: Seven Tests:
First John: DIVISION 04: The Proof That One Really Loves God: Six Tests:
First John: DIVISION 05: The Proof That One Really Believes in God: Four Tests:
We have meditated the First three Divisions and the First Five Tests in Division 04 in last sixteen weeks. We have been meditating on the “Fourth Division: The Proof That One Really Loves God” since last five weeks.
The Love of God: There is no greater subject in all the world. Why? Because if God loves us, it means that He is not far off in outer space someplace. It means that God is not distant, unreachable, and unconcerned with the world. It means that God is not mean and vengeful, that He does not cause all the bad things that happen to us, things such as accidents, diseases, and death. It means that God is not hovering over us looking for ever mistake we make so that He can punish us.
On the contrary, since God is love, it means that He is bound to show us His love and act for us. It means...
=> that God cares and looks after us;
=> that God will help us through all the trials and temptations of life;
=> that God will save us from the sin, evil, corruption, and death of this world;
=> that God will provide a way for us to be delivered from the coming judgement of His holy wrath against sin.
But note: if God loves us and has demonstrated His love to us, then He must expect us to respond. He must expect us to love Him. Love expects to be loved in return. If fact, if someone loves us and we do not receive his love, then his love never touches us. We never experience his love. To know love, we must receive love and share it. God loves us, but we must receive His love to experience it. We must enter a loving relationship with God in order to know the love of God. If we do not love God, then we can never know or experience God’s love for us. His love will never touch us. It is essential that we love God if we wish to experience the love of God.
But note this: few people truly love God. Therefore, they must walk through life without knowing God’s love and care.
=> They must face all the terrible trials and temptations of life alone. They have no help except what help man can give. They have rejected the love and help of God.
=> They must face sufferings and sorrow and the death of loved ones all alone. They do not have the supernatural power of God to help. They have rejected His love.
=> They must confront death without really knowing if God is on the other side waiting to judge them.
=> They must hope beyond this life, feeling that this life may be all, but not quite sure, wondering if perhaps there might be something after death.
We could go on and on listing the things that a person must face if he does not love God. And note: he must face them all alone. But thanks be to God, He loves the world. He loves all of us. Therefore, any of us who want to know God’s love and care can do so. All we must do is respond to His love – open up our lives and receive His love and love Him in return.
This is the discussion of this section of John’s letter: the love of God and our love for Him. How can we really tell if we love God? How can we make sure that God is pleased with us, with what love we show Him? There are SIX TESTS that measure our love for God, yes, these six tests will show if and how we love God (1 John 3:1 to 1 John 4:21).
We have been meditating the following SIX TESTS that measure our love for God since last five weeks:
First John: DIVISION 04 - The Proof That One Really Loves God: Test 01: Experiencing God’s Incredible Love!
First John: DIVISION 04 - The Proof That One Really Loves God: Test 02: Turning Away From Sin & Its Enslavement!
First John: DIVISION 04 - The Proof That One Really Loves God: Test 03: Being Marked By Love!
First John: DIVISION 04 - The Proof That One Really Loves God: Test 04: Having A Clean Heart!
First John: DIVISION 04 - The Proof That One Really Loves God: Test 05: Testing The Spirits of False Teachers!
First John: DIVISION 04 - The Proof That One Really Loves God: Test 06: Loving One Another!
Let us try to meditate the Sixth Test on First John: DIVISION 04 - The Proof That One Really Loves God: Test 06: Loving One Another! with the help of our Holy Spirit today, on the following:
Do we really love God? This is the sixth test, the one sure way to measure whether or not we love God: Do we love one another? Do we really love one another? Do we really love our neighbours, all of our fellow men? No matter who they are, do we love them? If we love our fellow man, this proves that we love God. Loving one another proves following seven things:
(1) Loving One Another Proves That We Are Born of God and Know God:
(2) Loving One Another Proves That We See God’s Love:
(3) Loving One Another Proves That God’s Spirit is Within Us:
(4) Loving One Another Proves That Our Testimony And Confession Are True:
(5) Loving One Another Proves That God is going to Deliver From Judgement:
(6) Loving One Another Proves That God Delivers Us From Fear:
(7) Loving One Another Proves That We Love God:
(1) Loving One Another Proves That We Are Born of God and Know God:
The Bible says in 1 John 4:7-8 “Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.”
Loving one another proves that we are born of God and that we know God. Note two things:
(a) God is love; His very nature is love (v.7). Therefore, if a person loves God, he becomes a loving person; he takes on the very nature of God. If a person really loves God, then he does what God does: he loves everyone. Note exactly what the verse says. When we love one another, people see two things:
=> People see that we are born of God. They see that we have the nature of God, that God has put His divine nature into us. How do they see God’s nature in us? By our love. They see us doing the very same thing that God does – loving people. They see us doing loving everyone: the rich and poor, healthy, and suffering, deserving and undeserving, acceptable, and unacceptable, good, and bad. They see us loving everyone, no matter who they are.
=> People see that we know God. They see that we have been talking to God and learning about God; that we are doing what God says, carrying out His instructions. They see that we know God, fellowship, and commune with Him; that we are living godly lives, and that we are actually taking on the very nature of God. How do they see all this? By our love. They see that we are loving and caring just as God is loving and caring.
(b) But note a significant fact: the person who does not love others reveals something as well: he does not know God (v.8). Who is this person? Who is it that does not know God? The person who lives selfishly; criticizes; hoards and banks; backbites; discriminates; gossips; is prejudiced; curses; elevates himself; gets angry; steals; hates; neglects others; abuses and murders.
This person does not know God. God is love and this person is not loving. He is not living like God lives; he is not demonstrating love for other people, not showing concern and care, and not helping and ministering to people’s needs. He is not blessing other people; he is causing hurt and pain and destroying them. And this not God’s nature; God is love. God blesses people; He does not hurt and destroy them.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 22:39; John 13:35 “And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbour as yourself.” … “By this all will know that you are My disciples, if you have love for one another.”
Apostle Paul says in Romans 12:9; 1 Thessalonians 3:12 “Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good.” … “And may the Lord make you increase and abound in love to one another and to all, just as we do to you.”
Apostle Peter says in 1 Peter 1:22 “Since you have purified your souls in obeying the truth through the Spirit in sincere love of the brethren, love one another fervently with a pure heart.”
(2) Loving One Another Proves That We See God’s Love:
The Bible says in 1 John 4:9-11 “In this the love of God was manifested toward us, that God has sent His only begotten Son into the world, that we might live through Him. In this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son to be the propitiation for our sins. Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.”
Yes, loving one another proves that we see God’s love.
(a) Note God’s love (v.9). In fact, this is the very way that we know that God is love. If someone asks, “How do we know that God is love? The world is full of so much evil and bad, how can we be sure God loves us?” Note the Scripture: this is the way God revealed that He loves us. “God sent His one and only Son into the world that we might live through Him”. The world is full of so much evil and bad. Men commits all kinds of evil, and in addition to this they curse God; reject God; ignore God; rebel against God; neglect God; deny God; disobey God; oppose God; and disbelieve God.
But this is the glorious love of God. God still loves man and still wants to help and to take care of man. Man has the most serious problem imaginable: not only is he engulfed with all the evil of the world, but he dies and ceases to be on this earth. He lives at most for just a few short years and then he is gone forever from the earth. But as stated, God is love and He has proven His love. He has sent His only Son into the world so that man might live though Him.
(b) Note how we know the love of God: by salvation. We know that God loves us because God saves man. How can we live through Christ? How does God give us life through Christ? By sending Christ to be the propitiation, the atoning sacrifice for our sins (v.10).
(c) The conclusion is compelling: “Beloved, if God so loved us, we also ought to love one another (v.11)”. If God loves us when we opposed and did things against Him, when we disobeyed and ignored Him, then there is no person we should not love. If God went to such great lengths to give His very own Son to die for us, then we should go to the same length to love one another. We are to love those who oppose us; curse us; do things against us; reject us; ignore us; persecute us; distrust us and kill us.
No matter who the person is, God loves him and has shown in the most supreme way possible that He love him. Therefore, we are to love that person and demonstrate our love for him. We are to sacrifice ourselves and try to bring life to him. This we do by loving him, by showing him there is a better way, the way of love.
(3) Loving One Another Proves That God’s Spirit is Within Us:
The Bible says in 1 John 4:12-13 “No one has seen God at any time. If we love one another, God abides in us, and His love has been perfected in us. By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.”
Yes, loving one another proves that God’s Spirit is within us.
(i) God is not known by sight (v.12). No person has ever seen God face to face. No person has ever penetrated the spiritual world and crossed over into heaven and seen God. No matter what some claim, Scripture is clear – no person has ever seen God. Even Jesus Christ Himself declared the same fact in John 1:18 “No one has seen God at any time. The only begotten Son, who is in the bosom of the Father, He has declared Him.”
(ii) How then can we know God (v.12)? God is known only by love, only by His Spirit who dwells within believers. When a person believes in the love of God, that God loves us so much that He gave His Son to die for our sins, it pleases God supremely. God is perfectly pleased, for God loves His Son with a perfect love. Therefore, when a person honours God’s Son by believing in Christ, God takes that person and puts His Spirit into the person. God actually implants His divine nature, the Holy Spirit, into the life of the believer. He does this so that His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, will have many followers, followers who will honour Christ by living and loving just as He lived and loved.
Simply stated, we know God by love. If we love God, then we accept what God has done for us in Christ. When we accept Christ, God puts His Spirit in us. It is that simple. We simply know God by loving Him, loving Him for all that He has done for us in Christ. And when we love Him and love His Son, God just floods our being with His precious Holy Spirit.
Now note what happens when God begins to live and dwell in us (v.12). We love one another and God’s love becomes perfected, that is, complete and fulfilled in us. We just grow and grow in love. We mature more and more, ever completing and perfecting the love of God upon earth.
(iii) Note one other thing: How do we know that we live in God and He in us (v.13)? By the Holy Spirit whom He has given to us. If we have the Holy Spirit living and dwelling in us, He bears witness with our spirit. It is impossible for God to be living within the body and life of a person and the person does not know it. It is the Spirit of God who tells us that we have been saved and are in God and God in us.
Lesson: If a person does not have the witness of God’s Spirit within him, he needs to evaluate his conversion. The likelihood is that he has never been saved. Even if he is temporarily in a backslidden state, the Holy Spirit is convicting and bugging him to repent and turn back to God.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said in John 16:7-11 “Nevertheless I tell you the truth. It is to your advantage that I go away; for if I do not go away, the Helper will not come to you; but if I depart, I will send Him to you. And when He has come, He will convict the world of sin, and of righteousness, and of judgment: of sin, because they do not believe in Me; of righteousness, because I go to My Father and you see Me no more; of judgment, because the ruler of this world is judged.:
Apostle Paul says in Romans 8:11; 16; Galatians 4:6 “But if the Spirit of Him who raised Jesus from the dead dwells in you, He who raised Christ from the dead will also give life to your mortal bodies through His Spirit who dwells in you.” … “The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” … “And because you are sons, God has sent forth the Spirit of His Son into your hearts, crying out, “Abba, Father!”
Apostle John says in 1 John 3:24; 4:13; 5:6 “Now he who keeps His commandments abides in Him, and He in him. And by this we know that He abides in us, by the Spirit whom He has given us.” … “By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.” … “This is He who came by water and blood—Jesus Christ, not only by water, but by water and blood. And it is the Spirit who bears witness, because the Spirit is truth.”
(4) Loving One Another Proves That Our Testimony And Confession Are True:
The Bible says in 1 John 4:14-16 “And we have seen and testify that the Father has sent the Son as Saviour of the world. Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him.”
Yes, loving one another proves that our testimony and confession are true. This is the great testimony of apostle John. But note how it is the testimony of every genuine believer as well.
(i) Apostle John’s declaration: that he and the early believers had seen and testified that the Father sent His Son to be the Saviour of the world (v.14).
(ii) There is the great promise to the whole human race: “Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God” (v.15).
(iii) There is the great testimony and confession of apostle John himself and the early believers: “And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and he who abides in love abides in God, and God in him” (v.16). What is that they knew and believed? Three things, and all three are critical. Note them closely:
(a) “God is love”. God has sent His Son to be the Saviour of the world. This is the way we know that God is love.
(b) Believers must love. Yes, they must live in love, love one another with all their hearts.
(c) Loving one another is the way we can tell that we are saved. If we live in love, then we live in God and God in us. The way we know that we live in God and God in us is by our love. If we love one another, then we are demonstrating the nature of God. If we are not loving one another, then we are demonstrating that we do not have the nature of God. Loving one another shows whether or not God is in us.
=> God is love; therefore, if we have the nature of God, we are loving people – all people – just as God loves them.
=> God is love, therefore, if we are not loving people, we do not have the nature of God. We are not saved no matter what we claim. The proof that we are saved, that we have the nature of God, is loving others.
The Bible says in John 6:28-29 “Then they said to Him, “What shall we do, that we may work the works of God?” Jesus answered and said to them, “This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He sent.”
Apostle Paul says in Romans 10:9-10; Philippians 2:11 “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” … “And that every tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father.”
Apostle John says in 1 John 3:18-19; 4:6-8; 15 “My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but indeed and in truth. And by this we know that we are of the truth and shall assure our hearts before Him.” … “We are of God. He who knows God hears us; he who is not of God does not hear us. By this we know the spirit of truth and the spirit of error. Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” … “Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God.”
(5) Loving One Another Proves That God is going to Deliver From Judgement:
The Bible says in 1 John 4:17 “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.”
Yes, loving one another proves that God is going to deliver us from judgement. Judgement is coming – a day of universal judgement when all persons will be brought before the great Judge Himself, the Lord Jesus Christ. This is the clear declaration of Scripture:
Our Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 12:36; 16:27; 25:31-32 “But I say to you that for every idle word men may speak, they will give account of it in the day of judgment.” … “For the Son of Man will come in the glory of His Father with His angels, and then He will reward each according to his works.” … “When the Son of Man comes in His glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then He will sit on the throne of His glory. All the nations will be gathered before Him, and He will separate them one from another, as a shepherd divides his sheep from the goats.”
Apostle Paul says in Romans 14:10; 2 Corinthians 5:10; Colossians 3:24-25 “But why do you judge your brother? Or why do you show contempt for your brother? For we shall all stand before the judgment seat of Christ.” … “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.” … “Knowing that from the Lord you will receive the reward of the inheritance; for you serve the Lord Christ. But he who does wrong will be repaid for what he has done, and there is no partiality.”
Apostle Peter says in 1 Peter 1:17; 2 Peter 2:9; 3:7 “And if you call on the Father, who without partiality judges according to each one’s work, conduct yourselves throughout the time of your stay here in fear.” … “Then the Lord knows how to deliver the godly out of temptations and to reserve the unjust under punishment for the day of judgment.” … “But the heavens and the earth which are now preserved by the same word, are reserved for fire until the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.”
The Bible says in Jude 1:14-15; Hebrews 9:27; Revelation 20:12 “Now Enoch, the seventh from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” … “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment.” … “And I saw the dead, small and great, standing before God, and books were opened. And another book was opened, which is the Book of Life. And the dead were judged according to their works, by the things which were written in the books.”
But note the most wonderful thing: we can be delivered from judgement. We can face the great day of judgement boldly without dread and fear. Why? By living a life of love, by loving one another completely. In fact, the fruit of love is having boldness in the day of judgement. If we love completely – if we allow our love to be complete and fulfilled – if we allow love to live itself out through us – then we will have boldness in the day of judgement. God will give us assurance that we shall not be judged, but on the contrary, we shall be rewarded.
How, then, is it possible to complete our love while on earth? By living in the world just as Jesus lived. Even as He was in the world, so we are to be in the world. That is, Jesus Christ loved when He was in the world; He walked in loved. Therefore, we are to love one another while in the world. We are to bear witness and proclaim the love of God and love one another just as Christ did. This is to be the consuming passion of our lives. The more we love, the more we grow and become completed in love; and the more we grow and become completed in love, the more assurance and boldness we have about the future judgement. The more we love, the more assurance God gives us that we shall not be judged in that day.
Lesson: Most people, even believers, are wrong in their ideas about the return of Christ. He is Judge as well as Saviour. And believers are to be judged at the judgement seat of Christ. Some will be weeping even as others will be joyful. It all depend upon how we have lived, what we have done in our bodies and in our works for Him.
Apostle Paul says in 2 Corinthians 5:10 “For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ, that each one may receive the things done in the body, according to what he has done, whether good or bad.”
The only way to be assured of deliverance from judgement, of having boldness to stand with uplifted face, is to live a life of love – to love everyone more and more while on earth.
Apostle Paul says in Ephesians 3:12; 2 Timothy 1:12 “In whom we have boldness and access with confidence through faith in Him.” … “For this reason, I also suffer these things; nevertheless I am not ashamed, for I know whom I have believed and am persuaded that He is able to keep what I have committed to Him until that Day.”
The Bible says in Hebrews 4:16; 10:22-25 “Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need.” … “Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water. Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works, not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as is the manner of some, but exhorting one another, and so much the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Apostle John says in 1 John 2:3-5; 3:18-22; 4:13,17; 5:11-13 “Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He who says, “I know Him,” and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him. But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.” … “My little children, let us not love in word or in tongue, but in deed and in truth. And by this we know that we are of the truth and shall assure our hearts before Him. For if our heart condemns us, God is greater than our heart, and knows all things. Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight.” … “By this we know that we abide in Him, and He in us, because He has given us of His Spirit.” … “Love has been perfected among us in this: that we may have boldness in the day of judgment; because as He is, so are we in this world.” … “And this is the testimony: that God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. He who has the Son has life; he who does not have the Son of God does not have life. These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.”
(6) Loving One Another Proves That God Delivers Us From Fear:
The Bible says in 1 John 4:18 “There is no fear in love; but perfect love casts out fear, because fear involves torment. But he who fears has not been made perfect in love.”
Yes, loving one another proves that God delivers us from fear. This is an excellent verse on fear and how to conquer fear. Note the four things said:
(i) There is no fear in love. If we really love someone, there is no need to fear him. In fact, we will not fear him. If we love the person, sacrificially give him our very best, then we have done all we can. Our lives and what we have done are in God’s hands. We will rest assured that we can do no more. A peace, and assurance, will sweep over our soul. Note this, for it is the promise of God: when we really love someone, really give sacrificially all that we can, God will give us a peace and an assurance of soul that erases all fear. Our souls will know no fear, only peace and assurance of God’s care. This is the promise of God even if some people react against us and persecute us and martyr us. God will give us such a deep sense of His presence – so deep that we will be flooded with peace and assurance. This is what Peter calls “the Spirit of glory and of God” that rests upon the believer when he is reproached in 1 Peter 4:14 “If you are reproached for the name of Christ, blessed are you, for the Spirit of glory and of God rests upon you. On their part He is blasphemed, but on your part He is glorified.”
(ii) Perfect love drives our fear. This is critical to note, for only a love that is growing and growing will be blessed by God. A believer cannot love one person and hold feelings against another person. This is not love. True love is impartial. A person who really loves, loves everyone. There is no such thing as a heart filled with love and hate. The two are incompatible. Therefore, the only believer who knows the peace and assurance of God is the believer who is being competed in love, the believer who is growing and growing in love, fulfilling, and completing his love.
(iii) Fear has punishment; that is, it thinks about and expects punishment or suffering or loss. A person feels that something is going to happen to him. Such feelings, of course, causer all kinds of disturbance and problems for people, all to varying degrees. People fear all kinds of things such as suffering; economic slump; divorce, loss of health; loss of a loved one; loss of wealth; the future, God and His judgement; loss of a job and heights, darkness, etc.
Fear causes anxiety, dread, alarm, fright, panic, and terror. It causes all kinds of unpleasant emotions, phobias, neurosis, and even the more serious psychotic disorders. The torment of fear is one of the worst problems faced by man.
(iv) Fear means that a person is not made perfect in love.
=> The person is not full grasping (perfected) the love and care of God for him.
=> The person is not loving other people like he should; he is not growing more and more in love. His eyes are upon himself, not upon God and others like they should be.
In summary, fear can be driven out only by the perfect love of God. The more we know of God’s love and care and the more we love other people, the more fear is conquered in our lives. The reason is clearly seen in the promises of God. God loves us so much that He will take care of us through all the trials and temptations of life, no matter what they are.
=> There is no need to fear people, the evil that they can do to us; God will strengthen and deliver us even through death.
Apostle Paul says in 2 Timothy 4:16-18 “At my first defence no one stood with me, but all forsook me. May it not be charged against them. But the Lord stood with me and strengthened me, so that the message might be preached fully through me, and that all the Gentiles might hear. Also, I was delivered out of the mouth of the lion. And the Lord will deliver me from every evil work and preserve me for His heavenly kingdom. To Him be glory forever and ever. Amen!”
The Bible says in Psalm 23:4; 118:6; Hebrews 13:6 “Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; For You are with me; Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” … “The Lord is on my side; I will not fear. What can man do to me?” … “So, we may boldly say: “The Lord is my helper; I will not fear. What can man do to me?”
=> There is no need to fear judgement. God delivers us from judgement.
Apostle Paul says in Romans 8:34-35 “Who is he who condemns? It is Christ who died, and furthermore is also risen, who is even at the right hand of God, who also makes intercession for us. Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword?
=> There is no need to fear the dark or the enemies of the dark. God will take care of us.
Apostle Paul says in Romans 3:3-5; Psalms 91:5; Proverbs 3:24 “For what if some did not believe? Will their unbelief make the faithfulness of God without effect? Certainly not! Indeed, let God be true but every man a liar. As it is written: “That You may be justified in Your words, And may overcome when You are judged.” But if our unrighteousness demonstrates the righteousness of God, what shall we say? Is God unjust who inflicts wrath? (I speak as a man.)” … “You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, Nor of the arrow that flies by day.” … “When you lie down, you will not be afraid; Yes, you will lie down and your sleep will be sweet.”
=> There is no need to fear not having food to eat or clothing.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said in Matthew 6:31-33 “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.”
(7) Loving One Another Proves That We Love God:
The Bible says in 1 John 4:19-21 “We love Him because He first loved us. If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen? And this commandment we have from Him: that he who loves God must love his brother also.”
Yes, loving one another proves that we love God. How do we know that we love God? There are three ways:
(i) We know that we love God because we know God’s love for (v.19). He loves us and we have seen His love; therefore, we love Him.
(ii) We know that we love God because we do not hate our brother. If we love God, it is impossible to hold feelings against our brother. Why? Because God is love. If we have the nature of God in us, then we love our brothers. Note how strong this verse states the fact.
That is why apostle John says in 1 John 4:20 “If someone says, “I love God,” and hates his brother, he is a liar; for he who does not love his brother whom he has seen, how can he love God whom he has not seen?”
We cannot see God, but we can see our brothers. It is far easier to love someone in this world whom we can see than it is to love someone whom we cannot see. Therefore, if we say that we love God and hate those whom we see, we are lying.
(iii) We know that we love God because we obey His commandment. What is His commandment? If we love God, we are to love our brothers also.
Our Lord Jesus Christ said in John 13:34-35; 21:16 “You call Me Teacher and Lord, and you say well, for so I am. If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you also ought to wash one another’s feet. For I have given you an example, that you should do as I have done to you.” … “He said to him again a second time, “Simon, son of Jonah, do you love Me?” He said to Him, “Yes, Lord; You know that I love You.” He said to him, “Tend My sheep.”
Apostle John says in 1 John 3:14-17; 23 “We know that we have passed from death to life, because we love the brethren. He who does not love his brother abides in death. Whoever hates his brother is a murderer, and you know that no murderer has eternal life abiding in him. By this we know love because He laid down His life for us. And we also ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. But whoever has this world’s goods, and sees his brother in need, and shuts up his heart from him, how does the love of God abide in him?” … “And this is His commandment: that we should believe on the name of His Son Jesus Christ and love one another, as He gave us commandment.”
Let us introspect ourselves.
Shall we love one another which proves that we are born of God and we know Him very well?
Shall we love one another which proves that we see God’s love?
Shall we thank our God for showing His love for us by sending His beloved Son Jesus Christ into the world that we might live through Him besides saving us by giving His beloved Son Jesus Christ as the propitiation, the atoning sacrifice for our sins?
Shall we commit ourselves that we should love one another as God so loved us?
Shall we love one another which proves that God’s Spirit is within us, that our testimony and confession are true, that God is going to deliver us from judgement, that God delivers us from fear besides, it proves that we love God?
Shall we remember that we cannot see God, but we can see our brothers whom we can love easily?
Shall we commit ourselves to obey His commandment which is to love our brothers also, if we love God?
Let us Pray: Our Heavenly Gracious Father, we thank You for helping us to understand about “First John: DIVISION 04 - The Proof That One Really Loves God: Test 06: Loving One Another”, today, Father. We thank You Father for showing Your love for us by sending Your beloved Son Jesus Christ into the world that we might live through Him besides saving us by giving Your beloved Son Jesus Christ as the propitiation, the atoning sacrifice for our sins, Father. Please help us to love one another which proves that we are from You Father and we know You very well, that we see Your love, that You loved us so much, that Your Spirit is within us, our testimony and confession are true, that You deliver us from judgement and fear besides it proves that we love You so much Father. Father, please help us to remember that we cannot see You, but we can surely see our brothers whom we can love easily, Father. Please help us to commit ourselves to obey Your commandment which is to love our brothers also if we love You Father. We thank You Father, for giving us Your seed of new birth, seed of new creation, seed of new person or self, divine nature, seed of Your Word and Your Holy Spirit to conquer sin and to keep us away from sinning, Father. We thank You Father for filling us with Your joy, peace, and hope, for accepting us when we approach You through Your beloved Son Jesus Christ besides being merciful on us and loving us so much and predestined us to receive Your promise of glory through Your beloved Son Jesus Christ, Father. We give all praise, glory, and honour to Your Holy Name. In Jesus name we pray. Amen.
God bless you all.

THE GREAT REFRESHING!
Grace is conviction of the Law that you’re against…
2 covenants, Holy covenant of promise (Ten Commandments) Deut 6:8 &
Rainbow covenant Leviticus 19,11,15 & acts 15:29
Read Deut 5 &
Deut 18:15-22
Are speaking of your King!
THINK NOT THAT I AM COME TO DESTROY THE LAW, OR THE PROPHETS:
I AM NOT COME TO DESTROY BUT TO FULFIL.
The Great Refreshing
Unto
The Restitution Of All Things:
The Cost Of the Cross
Cost- an amount that has to be paid or spent to buy or obtain something....
Acts 3:20- that times of refreshing may come from the presence of the Lord, and that he may send the Christ appointed for you, Yeshua,
Acts 3:21-Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.
Mat 7:12 Therefore all things whatsoever ye would that men should do to you, do ye even so to them: for this is the law and the prophets.
Mat 11:13 For all the prophets and the law prophesied until John.
Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the law and the prophets.
(Mat 22:37 Yeshua said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. (This is reading it daily and believing what it says it & doing it, not your own imagination scripture interpret scripture
Mat 22:38 This is the first and great commandment.
Mat 22:39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbor as thyself. (Leviticus 19:17-18)
Mat 22:40 On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets….
Luk 16:16 The law and the prophets were until John: since that time the kingdom of God is preached, and every man presseth into it.
Luk 24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me.
Joh 1:45 Philip findeth Nathanael, and saith unto him, We have found him, of whom Moses in the law, and the prophets, did write, Yeshua of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.
Act 13:15 And after the reading of the law and the prophets the rulers of the synagogue sent unto them, saying, Ye men and brethren, if ye have any word
Of exhortation for the people, say on.
Act 24:14 But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are
written in the law and in the prophets:
Act 28:23 And when they had appointed him a day, there came many to him into his lodging; to whom he expounded and testified the kingdom of God, persuading them concerning Yeshua , both out of the law of Moses, and out of the prophets, from morning till evening.
Rom 3:21 But now the righteousness of God without the law 👈🏾(sacrificial law
go find out what this means I desire mercy not sacrifice) is manifested
being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
Rom 10:5 For Moses describeth the righteousness which is of the law, That the man which doeth those things shall live by them.
Rom 10:6 But the righteousness which is of faith speaketh on this wise, Say not in thine heart, Who shall ascend into heaven? (that is, to bring Christ down from above:)
Rom 10:7 Or, Who shall descend into the deep? (that is, to bring up Christ again from the dead.)
“thee, neither is it far off. It is not in heaven, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go up for us to heaven, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it? Neither is it beyond the sea, that thou shouldest say, Who shall go over the sea for us, and bring it unto us, that we may hear it, and do it?”
Deuteronomy 30:11-13
Salvation comes from what the sacrificial law👈🏾could not justify ONLY YE MUST REPENT AND BE BORN AGAIN! You see preaching unto👈🏾 you the forgiveness of sins is what Yeshua did and died for us to repent unto 👈🏾 the Ten Commandments! Why obey? Because Sacrificial Law was given as punishment (until the refreshing by Yeshua) for their near-immediate disobedience in the worship of another God, the first commandment shattered before Moses even shattered them himself to have them written afresh once again by the finger of God ( Luk 11:20 But if I with the finger of God cast out devils, no doubt the kingdom of God is come upon you. ) and placed them inside a wooden ark (of the covenant*) and now see the majesty of God to show you his Holy covenant of promise (10 commandments) and his rainbow covenant REPENT! to the full instruction of the Lord and read your Bible precept upon precept precept upon precept line upon line line upon line here a little there a little rightly dividing the word of truth, not the imagination of your mind…
*Ron Wyatt found the ark of the covenant tho Aron’s rod is not there His Holy Ten Commandments are very much so still there engraved by our Father's own finger and are NOT grievous! And yet again you will stumble upon those who say “It’s bogus why wouldn’t it be in some museum” That’s because even the Jews know and understand very well what happened to the last man to touch his ark without permission!
Repent!!!
Act 3:19 Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord;
Isa 28:12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
