Nobody in this world will ever be perfect, no matter how much we try. I only made this post so that I could go back and read this in the future and be enlightened if ever I am facing an obstacle that may seem so hard to overcome in the future. I also want to share the Homily and also what I’ve learned from the talk given by The Feast Bay Area Family today.

I want to start off with the Homily:

The priest told us a story about Peter. That he was never the brightest among the 12 disciples, and yet, Jesus chose him. Jesus could’ve chosen John or Matthew, but Jesus do not look at people’s shortcomings. The priest told us that Jesus somehow acted as a professor around His disciples and would give tests here and there, Peter failed numerous times but Jesus does not and will never look at our mistakes.

Reflecting on this, I must say that God knows us. Individually, personally. We do not need to hide anything from Him as it would only make us live a guilty life. He has forgiven us even before we asked for forgiveness. But of course, we are only humans with one end goal in life: to go to Heaven. We need to repent from our sins, we need to acknowledge everything that we have done, because only in this way can we let guilt go. We must also forgive ourselves for every mistake that we did. We need to accept ourselves the way God has accepted us. We do not need to look for the things that we do not have, because we are all created uniquely and are far more precious than the most precious gem in this world.

Moving forward to the talk,  I could not help but to cry and at the same time feel relieved. For the longest time, I have gone a year without listening to the mass or even a talk about the preachings of the Bible. I was so lost. I would always think about going back but then I would always think that God loves me enough to accept me time and time again. This is true, though. However, through the talk today, I was reminded that earning a place in heaven is not an easy process. It is not just merely believing in God and that there is a place called Heaven; it is not merely reading the Bible and praying at night. Earning a place in Heaven would require hardships, setbacks, failures, and a dozen of “no”s from God. 

Needless to say, this is my first time again, after a year, to listen to the preaching of the word. I then realize that no matter how far away I wonder from the Lord, He loves me so much that He would take me back again and again. That He would even allot His time just to command all His angels to do everything just for me to see this live session on Facebook by The Feast Bay Area Family. And I come to think about it, “God allots his time for a sinner like me, he never forgets to wake me up and shower me with blessings, how come I always put him last?” 

Now that I am here, I want everybody to know what the Lord wants to say to you today: Come back to Him, He has prepared a feast for you. You need only to forgive yourself and acknowledge your sins.

A life with God will never be an easy life, there will always be storms, you will always find yourself in and out of the relationship, but one thing I can promise you if you commit to this relationship, that you will always be safe and that there is always somebody who is willing to be there for you, day or night.

I never look at setbacks as failures. I only look at it as wake up calls. When we get sick, it is our body’s way of saying, “Hey, you need to take better care of me.” If you fail a test, it’s also a way of saying, “This is where you need to focus, you can still get better.” In addition, would you still say that it is a wrong turn, if it still lead you to good things? Everything happens for a reason, as cliche as it sounds, but it’s true. Let God awaken you, let God shake you, let Him disturb you! This is the only way that you can realize that God will never give you the answer for He is the answer. You will never know the real meaning of God’s love without these wrong turns, obstacles, shortcomings and failures.

When you seek Jesus, regardless of the direction that you are in, you will find Him.

(I pray that whoever is reading this, I pray that you live a life rooted in Christ and I also pray that may your faith never be shaken despite of all the problems that you may be going through. I pray that you stay free from any potential illnesses as there is still no permanent cure for COVID19. I pray that may you also bless the world as you have been blessed. I also pray that you live a life patterned in Christ. In Jesus’ Name I pray, Amen.)

It's still unofficial until YouTube releases the exact figures... but BTS 'Dynamite' MV has logged 98,291,053 views in its first 24 hours of release, a whopping 12 million views more than the previous record of 86.3 million set two months ago by Black Pink's 'How You Like That's (which in turn had topped the previous record of 76.4 million views set by BTS 'Boy with Luv' back in April of 2019.

Upon its release on Aug. 21 (1PM Korean Standard Time), 'Dynamite' had already set a new record for the highest number of YouTube viewers for a video premiere, drawing more than 3 million concurrent live viewers when it dropped and had topped more than 4 million views just after the debut (although the official count for this, too, still has to be released by the internet video platform).

This is a time to celebrate, fellow ARMYs. Our boys deserve this. Congratulations, BTS! 🏆👏👏
