Spontaneous urge for cat. I was really torn between the top two--they have very different feels, but the rounded ears are v endearing. Jieran (he/they) is based on the leopard cat and is a reimagination of another old OC renamed bc apparently the old name is derogatory slang.

I usually don't go through a full notebook like this* but times have changed.

(*in my youth I would fill notebooks, or never touch the page because the cover is too pretty, or maybe just fill in a couple of pages and then start a new notebook.)

(this is a work-related note-taking notebook however, initially intended to keep notes within it, but I found I was just using it for scratch paper essentially)

bike ride to the gym

8 x 10 incline sit ups

3 x 10 lat raise machine

2 x 10 row machine

45 minute spin class

3 x 10 seated press

3 x 10 pec machine

bike ride home

~50 minutes push lawnmower aerobics

the gym workers received Hershey kisses and York mints

spin class went well with the substitute instructor

humidity was near 100% while mowing / sweat was pouring off me

bottom picture = fire truck off the side of the road on my way home.  i think the firemen were running errands.  i was not back 500 feet.  if i had been back 500 feet, i don’t think i could read the “keep back 500 feet” sign.

rain threatened all afternoon but didn’t rain.  i’m thankful for the overcast sky

my lawnmower was running rough.  i changed the air filter and that didn’t help.  will add some stuff to the gas to see if maybe that helps.  if not, then i can change the spark plug or maybe clean or replace the carburetor

cooking some beans to go with supper
