Imaginary Neil asked him a question and real Andrew said “Yes” and then Imaginary Neil had said that it was a “Yes” for him too. Then Andrew was moving and reaching for Imaginary Neil and-
Neil’s eyes opening broke Andrew’s fantasy, knocked out of thoughts of miraculously placed lube and condoms. Andrew watched Neil slowly wake, watched his eyes fully open and clear, watched as he smiled at Andrew in a slow way that would have the various gossip columns that their school’s newspaper runs move him out of ‘honorable mentions’ and into first place, despite his infamous mouth.
Then he sees Neil feel Andrew against him and sees Andrew’s stare. “You okay?” he asks, not moving an inch.
Andrew stares at him for a few moments longer, “Yes.”
