17/100 more days of productivity | 010318 | the first of March didn’t come with little flowers everywhere and birds chirping that spring is here, and I’m disappointed. I made it to class with my sick lil’ body, and then I made it back. I had an X-ray done (update : I don’t have cystic fibrosis OR tuberculosis) and then spent the rest of the evening writing motivations, drinking tea, before crawling in bed around 8, turning off the light at 9 and a bit. I fell asleep pretty soon, woke up at 2:40 and then lay awake for a while before finding my way back to dreamland. Sleeping lots did help with the cold, but I still felt tired with waking, so I guess more rest is in order. I told Maaike I probably won’t make it to hers this weekend, because I’m between of schoolwork, meetings, and health, there’s not going to be a lot more space for anything but a hot bath and a lot more tea. My mental state went a bit wobbly with the whole cold thing, not gonna lie.

Wisdom Teeth

Had an appointment at 8:30AM to take out my wisdom teeth. I was really nervous the day before already, and thought to have only one extracted. Turns out, the oral surgeon wants to take all four out. Just my freaking luck, I did not have time to digest all that imformation. When he gave me so many shots of anesthesia, I was shaking so much. I really do not know why my body was involuntarily shaking so much on its own. My mind was clear as day, it was a very eye-opening moment though, maybe this is how people with panic attacks feels when they cannot stop themselves. The poor oral surgeon and aid, they were so worried. I almost got sent home 😭. Fortunately though, he was very good at his job and was very comforting. The sweet aid lady was also very warm, she acted as my caregiver throughout the whole time. It took them 20 minutes just to calm me down enough to procede, and the freaking anesthesia was wearing off and so I had a total of around 15 shots. Yikes, I’ll be seeing them again next time for the other two wisdom teeth. I cannot begin to imagine the horror and pain people back then have to go through, or people who have experienced far worser pain than this. Pain is really no joke. On the bright side, I ate like a king today, ironic isn’t it? Burgers from shake shack, dumplings and chicken wings from Wholes Food, and congee from mommy <3 I feel loved today 😬
