this might be really stupid but i heard this song a few months ago and thought it would be a really cool song for ofmd season 2 so naturally i obsessed over it and came up with a whole plot idea that goes along with the song. hopefully someone sees my vision or at the very least enjoys the song rec!!

okay here’s the vision:

so I imagine this scene being at the end of s2 episode one, and this scene is the first time we're seeing Ed since the end of season one.

"in the morning you rise.….." ed opens his eyes, his face/eyes are stained with black makeup, he looks slightly depressed, but mostly monotone, like he has been repeating the same daily routine since the end of season 1. He gets out of bed.

"moving warm with content..." ed slowly gets up and gets ready for the day, again monotone/depressed.

"dip my head in your purse..." we see Ed walking through Stede’s auxiliary wardrobe, running his hands through stede’s clothing, slowly.

"that i could not get much worse..." ed's face/demeanor starts to get darker and darker.

The music gets heavier, and we cut to later that day, Ed is walking in slowmo on the deck of a ship his crew is violently raiding, at his command. The scene is all in slowmo, and the vibe is much darker and bloodier. We see members of the raided crew being violently t*rtured, m*rdered, st*bbed, etc.

1:15-1:38

ed looks at the chaos he himself has caused, depression lining his eyes, and for a moment, he is slipping out of the Kraken persona, he is missing Stede.

1:39-2:00

The kraken comes back as the music gets heavier, Ed is in a violent trance, and joins in on the violence. The crew then leaves the ship, Ed has an evil grin, looking proud and sinister.

2:01-2:34

Ed and his crew get back to their own ship after a successful raid, he goes to his room and shuts the door.

2:35-2:44

Ed starts weeping uncontrollably.

Platinum Relics Mini Guide

Platinum Relics are the lowest times on a track, and often the hardest, requiring precise driving and skills, along with knowledge of the game and it's mechanics. Think you have what it takes? Well, even if you don't, I'm here to try to help you out just a little bit with a small mini guide through each of the 18 tracks, so you too can flex online in style with that sweet Platinum Paint Job.

This guide assumes you know the inner mechanics of the game, such as power sliding, boosting, Sacred Fire, Blue Fire and course shortcuts. If you need explanations of those, you may not ready to tackle these just yet. I don't mind answering questions about them if you need something cleared up, however.

Collecting all the Boxes takes 10 seconds off your final time. What I mean by 'yes' or 'no' here is if it's recommended or not, or whether or not I think it's worth it or the effort. If it says 'no', then it's still possible to get the relic without them, if it says 'yes', it's because it's easy enough to do without driving you nuts or because it's absolutely necessary (looking at you N.Gin Labs and Papu's Pyramid).

Recommended Character Type is a suggestion based on the track selected. You don't have to follow it, I just chose what I believed was easiest (as you see I did all of my with Accel and Beginner characters, Advanced isn't necessary at all). Pick what feels comfortable to you!

Crash Cove Platinum Time to Beat: 52:00 Collect All Boxes?: No Recommended Character Type: Advanced

Not gonna lie, the first one can be a bit of a doozy to Plat. There's not a lot of room for error here, and the only thing I can tell you to do is get Sacred Fire and floor it. If you lose Sacred Fire, you might as well kiss the Platinum goodbye. While I achieved my Plat with Coco, I recommend Advanced characters as Crash Cove is pretty basic and the extra speed can help. While you can collect all the boxes, I don't recommend it, since some are in pretty awkward spots that are off the course pretty hard.

Roo's Tubes Platinum Time to Beat: 55:00 Collect All Boxes?: No Recommended Character Type: Advanced

Just as tough as Crash Cove, but with a little bit more of error room. You don't have to get all the boxes here to get the Platinum, but if you can keep a good race line, you could, so it's an option. Even if you have to take a few seconds more to grab all the boxes after the final Turbo Pad to grab them all (if that's your way of doing it), do it. 10 seconds off is a lot. Other than that, you know the deal. Sacred Fire and floor it. If you can consistently keep it and take the shortcut, this should be cake.

Mystery Caves Platinum Time to Beat: 1:32:00 Collect All Boxes?: No Recommended Character Type: Accel

Mystery Cave is full of ways to ruin your day. The turtles are a big one. They are so inconsistent when bouncing, it will drive you up a wall (sometimes LITERALLY). The corners are a bit tight to navigate at times. You can easily collect all the boxes in a 3 lap go if you plan your driving lanes beforehand, so if you want to go that route, go for it. I don't think this one is too bad as long as you can keep a good line of driving, and of course, Sacred Fire. If I can do it as I just woke up and started writing this guide on the first try, then you can, too.

My Time: 1:31:38 - Pinstripe 1:28:14 - Coco

Sewer Speedway Platinum Time to Beat: 0:37:00 Collect All Boxes?: Yes Recommend Character Type: Accel

Ah, here it is, the biggest bastard of Hub 1. Sewer Speedway is a pain to drive on in Nitro Fueled, combined with one of the lowest Platinum Times ever and a shortcut that's inconsistent, you're in for a bad time. I believe I got all the box for my Platinum Relic, which is why I'm recommending it, but heed this warning: for that, you need to take the shortcut (the full thing) at least once. Heed this advice though: Take it first lap and get it out the way. If you fail it, you've lost nothing. If you succeed, continue with the run and see what happens. My recommended path says go right twice at the beginning, then left, then right, left to get all the boxes. How you get the rest of the boxes in the track after that is up to your driving lines and your choice. Also, if you get crushed, you fail instantly. Just restart.

Hub 1 Complete! Getting tired yet? Come on! We've just barely started!

Coco Park Platinum Time to Beat: 0:49:00 Collect All Boxes?: Yes Recommended Character Type: Advanced

Do yourself a favor and just collect all the boxes here. I've no god given clue how Komodo Joe burned around this course in 49 seconds, but I can tell you it's not possible by a human, and until proven otherwise, that's my opinion and I'm sticking with it. Keep a good racing line, get the outside (wide lane) boxes on the first lap and work your way inwards. There's a 2 box right before the beginning of the tunnel on the left in the grass, and a 3(?) right as you leave on the right. There's also two boxes a piece you have to jump for at the end from the grassy hills, so make sure you get Sacred Fire to get them. The 10 seconds off is well worth getting all the boxes for.

My Time: 46:89 - Pinstripe

Papu's Pyramid Platinum Time to Beat: 0:42:00 Collect All Boxes?: YES Recommended Character Type: Beginner

Whereas this Platinum was probably a joke in OG, it's NO joke in NF. There's no massive unfair skip in this game, which means you gotta play this by the book. As long as you can keep your driving lane good and collect a box per lap, you should be okay. I recommend getting the drop off for the 4 3 boxes first lap, that way you don't need to worry about it. Likewise, try to go to the outside turn down the stairs and get the 2 boxes on them (and the 1 hanging over the void), plus the 2 by the plants. The final turn you'll have to take twice to keep a good time, I grabbed the box in the grass first lap, along with the 2 closest to the inside of the turn and also the box leading to the 3 hanging over the gap (even if you have to fall off to get it). If you want a tentative picture of how I feel about this relic, here you go.

My Time: 37:69 - Pura

Tiger Temple Platinum Time to Beat: 0:43:00 Collect All Boxes?: Yes Recommended Character Type: Advanced

Not difficult at all. Collecting all the boxes is easy once you know where they all are, and they aren't in difficult places, either. You just need to keep your speed up to make sure you make it to the ones that require jumps. How you go from everything from there is up to you. As always, Sacred Fire and blaze it. Do watch how you land on the hills though, they can eat your speed. As someone that played this track a ton on the demo, this Relic took me 3 tries, tops.

Dingo Canyon Platinum Time to Beat: 0:53:00 Collect All Boxes?: Yes Recommended Character Type: Accel

Not hard. Collect all the boxes, it's simple and even helps keep your driving line focused. Collect outside lane boxes first, it just helps later on when you're trying to save more time. Even though it's easy, you still need to have a good handle on driving correctly.

My Time: 52:11 - Pinstripe

Hub World 2 down! Wasn't too bad, right? Not with all the boxes collected in every map. Let's move on. Good news and bad news. Good news is, half this next hub is easy as hell. The bad news is, the other half isn't.

Blizzard Bluff Platinum Time to Beat: 0:45:00 Collect All Boxes?: No Recommended Character Type: Advanced

Believe me when I say this is HARD. I don't know how Pura burned around this track in 45 seconds, but good god. I couldn't find a good way to get all the boxes either, so that's out (the 2 in the ditch after the rolling boulder basically make you come to grinding halt to get them and not jump over them, which just isn't worth 1 frozen second a piece, even if you managed to get all the boxes). Worst yet, without getting all the boxes, you're going to have to take the infamous fence shortcut on the final turn ALL THREE LAPS, a shortcut so hard that not even Oxide's ghost takes it on this track anymore. I barely made this one, so my only real advice is to not get discouraged, keep trying and practicing until you get your ideal driving line for the win.

Dragon Mines Platinum Time to Beat: 0:54:00 Collect All Boxes?: Yes Recommended Character Type: All-Around, Accel

This one is just as bad as Blizzard Bluff. It has the infamous "spiral" turn that no one likes taking in this game, and just lots of sections that slow you down for absolutely no reason at all. Fortunately, the boxes are in places that aren't terrible, outside of the three 3 boxes on the minecart tracks in the tunnel. You basically have to turn into that tunnel right after the minecart goes in so you don't get crushed by the next one after it. Get the three 3 boxes by jumping off the spiral in that same lap. Finally, after the spiral, there's a bunch of boxes in between the pillars. If you start on the left side of them, you can weave through them all and end up on the right side at the end so you can get on the turbo pad. Get these problematic boxes in the first lap and then take your best driving into the next 2 laps to get this Platinum. Also, don't ask me how Pura did this in 43 seconds or Crash did it in 49:70. I don't know.

Polar Pass Platinum Time to Beat: 2:05:00 Collect All Boxes?: No Recommended Character Type: Beginner, Accel

I did this one without even trying. It's rare that you'll get a Platinum Relic on your first try (unless you're that good at the game), but this one seriously is super easy, so long as you understand the mechanics of Blue Fire. If you can keep that (and it's possible, which is why I recommended a Beginner character class), you can obliterate this Platinum by a good 10 seconds. As the guy that has made the infamous Polar Pass 2 lap Blue Fire video on YouTube from the Demo, trust me when I say this is easy. I've had lots of practice on this map, but once you get the hang of it, it's simple. As I'm writing this, I achieved the Platinum again, even.

My Time: 1:53:29 - Coco 2:02:90 - Coco

Tiny Arena Platinum Time to Beat: 2:58:00 Collect All Boxes?: No Recommended Character Type: Accel

I did this one without trying, too. This is another one where if you understand the basic mechanics of the game, you'll mop the floor with the times. 2:58 is generous enough to even make a few mistakes as long as you're getting enough boxes. Sacred Fire the parts you can, round corners well enough, collect the boxes in your path, stay out of the mud, jump off the hills and this Platinum is yours. I even just beat my old time playing through it again. You got this.

My Time: 2:41:21 - Coco 2:45:68 - Coco

Hub 3 is done. I told you half were easy and the other half were hard. Unfortunately, that trend continues with 2 more hard courses going into Hub 4. However, after those, you're sitting on easy street as long as you keep up your good driving.

N. Gin Labs Platinum Time to Beat: 0:53:00 Collect All Boxes?: Yes Recommended Character Type: Accel, Beginner

Hold it right there! Don't even think about turboing off this start line. Reverse and get all 12 of the 3 boxes at the beginning. You can get 3 of them just by holding reverse, then get the rest in a timely fashion by driving carefully. After that, Lap 1 needs to be spent getting boxes that you deem problematic for speed later on. Such boxes for me are the 2 in the alcove right before the barrel drop, and the ones hovering over the edges of the platforms of the 90 degree angle turns right after the barrel drops. This stage also requires you to at least understand Blue Fire and maintain it while keeping the best line possible, grabbing the boxes at high speed. I spent a good 2 hours here, and still barely made it. This one's tough.

My Time: 50:30 - Coco

Cortex Castle Platinum Time to Beat: 1:32:00 Collect All Boxes?: No Recommended Character Type: Accel

This one is annoyingly difficult, as well. 1:32 is not a comfortable enough time to mess around with, so you've got to floor your speed. Sacred Fire the places you can. This stage also mandates what I like to call "Jetshotting", which is rounding a corner sharply, then continuing your momentum in the new direction. It's done by jumping from a hill, releasing the Acceleration button, braking and choosing your new direction, and before landing, releasing brake and Accelerating again. It's not hard to do, in fact, you may have even done it before on accident. But this stage mandates it because of the courtyard hill into the castle. There's no other way to take that corner effectively without losing speed. Other than that, I'd save the shortcut for the final lap, and get the boxes on the normal path on the first two laps. In that same vein, keep the box in the air after the Super Turbo Pad there for the final lap so you have some cushion while you fall and bend that last corner before the finish line. Good luck, this is the last hard one!

Hot Air Skyway Platinum Time to Beat: 2:02:00 Collect All Boxes?: No Recommended Character Type: Beginner

I'll be completely honest with you: the minute I saw this track, I was already fearing the Relic. But I didn't realize how easy it would've been if one could just keep Blue Fire. Once I put that idea into my mind, this track instantly became easier. Explaining it is hard, but I have a video of it because I thought it was cool, so just use that.

My Time: 1:57:64 - Pura

Oxide Station Platinum Time to Beat: 2:34:00 Collect All Boxes?: Yes Recommended Character Type: Accel

This one isn't too bad. All the boxes are in a pretty easy place, and they all can be gotten within 3 laps. As long as you drive correctly and boost right, this should be a breeze, especially after N. Gin Labs and Cortex Castle (not to mention Blizzard Bluff). If you can do those 3 tracks, this one shouldn't bother you any. In fact, I would've done this one on my first try if I hadn't missed one box. Go figure. Beat it the 2nd try, though!

My Time: 2:27:83 - Coco

Slide Coliseum Platinum Time to Beat: 1:40:00 Collect All Boxes?: No Recommended Character Type: Accel, Advanced

This one is a freaking cake walk. I don't know who set this Platinum Time, but it's a joke. You can easily beat this time without breaking all the time crates, but if you do, it's just adding insult to injury, and it's not like it's hard anyways. As long as you know how to drift, this isn't anything special. I even just beat it again playing through it for this guide.

My Time: 1:12:05 - Coco 1:14:48 - Coco (this is my time WITHOUT all the crates)

Turbo Track Platinum Time to Beat: 1:19:00 Collect All Boxes?: No Recommended Character Type: Accel, All-Around

This final one is easy too. You don't need to get all the boxes, but if you want, it makes it even easier. The Super Turbo Pads here just give you so much speed that it makes it hard to not get this Platinum on the first try. The only thing this stage mandates is that you know how to Brake Slide for hairpin turns, but other than that, this is simple!

My Time: 52:94 - Coco (with all time crates) 1:13:17 - Coco (without all time crates)

Staring at yourself in the mirror, you wondered it going to the shoot was worth it. You were a journalist for a well-respected magazine, and therefore had to dress the part, but the white blouse and pencil skirt made you feel like an overstuffed sausage. Your friends all called you “curvy” or “thic” but you knew the truth. You were just fat.

“Hey, Y/n, you ready? We gotta leave soon.” Your coworker and best friend, River Huang, called. Now, River was curvy, she had goods in all the right places and made you hate yourself just a little bit more. “You look great!” She gasped, coming up behind you. “You wear this stupid outfit better than me, I'm jealous.”

“Stop it. I look like a sausage.” You groaned, poking at the bulge on your stomach.

“Hey, Y/n do me a favor and shut the fuck up?” She shrugged. “You look amazing and I swear by every god if you don't start loving yourself a bit more, I'm going to beat your heart into your ass.” She threatened with a smile.

“River, I'm serious, I shouldn't go. I'm sure Kira would be ecstatic to meet BTS.” You sighed.

“She might be, but I'm serious too. You look spectacular, your interviews gonna go great and if the timer on your wrist is anything, you're going to walk away from this with a soulmate.” You glanced down at the little timer on your arm.

You had an hour and a half until you were supposed to meet your soulmate.

“What if they don't like me?” You asked, tugging the leather bracelet you always wore over the timer.

“Why wouldn't they?” River asked, grabbing both of your bags as you made your way to the car.

“Because I'm-”

“If you say fat, I'm going to actually flip us into a ditch.” She threatened, climbing into the driver's seat.

“I'm just being real.”

“No, you're anxious and you hate your own body. Do you know the only difference between our bodies is?” You stared at your nails, trying not to pick at the French manicure you had gotten just hours prior.

“You actually look good.” You offered.

“No, the only difference is, I own it. I know that this is my body, and I get to decide if someone is going to make me feel lesser about it. And I never let people do that. The moment you own your body is the moment no one can hurt you anymore. Your soulmate is going to love you. They're going to think the world of you.” You stayed quiet, wanting to believe her words. “Hey, I will never lie to you, you're beautiful.”

“Thank you.”  You finally managed to say.

You pulled into the venue with 55 minutes left on your timer. The interviews you were conducting today were going to be for a huge segment on BTS, not only for the magazine but for the website as well, which meant you were going to be on camera. The camera crew was just beginning to start the shoot when you arrived.

“Miss L/n, Miss Huang, you're here.” Your boss greeted. “Let's begin.”

Your job was to interview Hoseok, Jimin and Jungkook, the dancers, while River interviewed Jin, Suga, RM and V. You had never met these people before, but just from the few minutes you were able to talk to them, they seemed really genuine. When they all smiled at you, shook your hand like an equal, and spoke with passion, it made you forget that your timer was ticking away, but it also made you forget that these were superstars. They were just normal people with a better job than most.

“I've answered all your questions, can I ask one of my own?” Hoseok asked as you jotted down the last of your notes, having interviewed him last.

“Of course.”

“Do you have a soulmate?” He leaned closer to you, almost childishly interested.

“I do, doesn't everyone?” You joked. He laughed loudly which made the other boys in the room look at the pair of you, even RM who was being photographed.

“I like you, you're very nice and funny.”

“Thank you.” You bowed your head to hide the blush creeping onto your cheeks.

“So cute.” He cooed, making your cheeks burn hotter.

“Yah, Jhope, don't embarrass her.” Jin scolded from across the room, which made you even more embarrassed. Hoseok's cheek went a little pink and he ducked his head.

“I'm sorry.” He still had a smile on his face.

“It's okay. Don't worry about it.” You patted his hand and noticed that your timer was now into the minutes. “Oh,” You pulled your arm back and looked at the numbers.

“Wah, you have a timer, so does RM.” Hoseok gasped.

“What a coincidence.” You shrugged.

“Y/n, come here a moment.” Your boss called. You stood, picking up your notepad.

“Thank you for letting me interview you.” You bowed, before making your way across the room.

“You're very welcome. It was nice meeting you.” He called after you.

“River's running a bit behind on her interview with V, can you interview RM for her?”

“Yeah of course.” Your boss smiled, clapping your shoulder.

“Thank you, I'll send him over when he's finished.”

“Yes ma'am.” You made your way back to the corner you were interviewing people in and began going over your notes from the previous boys. The room was mostly quiet, save for the occasional click of the camera, and hushed voices.

“Excuse me, are you Y/n?” A voice asked, you looked up to find RM standing next to you and as you opened your mouth to answer, a beeping filled the room. You both lifted your wrists, finding the timers to have reached 0:0:0:0.

You knew you were supposed to feel all warm and fuzzy, but instead you were suddenly aware of everyone's eyes on you and just how awful you looked. You dropped your stuff and booked it out of the room.

Namjoon blinked at the empty spot where his soulmate just stood, her pen rolling away from him.

“What just happened?” He asked aloud.

“That would be my best friend letting her insecurities get the better of her and panicking.” Joon turned to find the other interviewer standing behind him. “You should probably go find her.”

“Can I?” He asked his manager, who nodded.

“Just bring a face mask.” Joon nodded and pulled one out of his jacket pocket,

“RM,” The other interviewer stopped him before he could make it out the door. “Listen, she's really insecure about her weight, and she doesn't think her soulmate would ever like her because of it.”

“But, she's beautiful?”

“I know that, but she doesn't.”

You ended up sitting out front of the building, arms wrapped around your legs and face resting on your knees. Not only had you embarrassed yourself by running away, but you had also probably embarrassed him just by existing as his soulmate. Tears cascaded down your face, making you look even worse.

You heard footsteps approach, and next thing you knew, someone was showing you a picture of a statue. The woman depicted was hunched over, with rolls on her belly and big thighs.

“Do you know who that is?” He asked, taking a seat next to you.

“No.”

“Its the goddess Aphrodite.” He informed you.

“No it isn't, it cant be.” You mumbled.

“It is, the statue is Aphrodite Knidias by the sculptor Praxiteles, who was-”

“A roman sculptor from the Hellenistic period.” You finished. “I heard about him, but Aphrodite is always shown being fit.”

“This is his depiction of her, and there are so many goddesses that aren't skinny per se, but do you want to know what I think?” You finally looked over at him. He smiled softly, using the cuff of his sweater to wipe your tears. “I think you're more beautiful than all of them.”

I’m standing at the door and my guide, a 7-foot-tall eskimo, is pointing at the doorknob with his leather-mittened hand. He smiles warmly at me. I am unsure about the situation. I do not know what I want. I turn around to see if there is an exit. There is only a wall. I reach for the doorknob, thinking only of what I have left behind. The metal is warm as if I am only one of many that have passed through here. I glance at the eskimo once more for assurance. He nods. 

I turn the knob and push. The door does not budge. I look at the eskimo, perplexed. He rolls his eyes and makes a pulling motion with his hands.

I pull open the door slowly and peek inside. 

The room is huge. There is a large shelf full of books, movies, and video games. To the left of that is a sexy-ass computer. I hurry to check the internet connection; ultra-broadband, and it downloads gigs of porn in seconds. I visit eBaumsworld. Every post is not a repost. 

“Hey there,”

I spin around, startled. There is a girl sitting in an awesomely comfy couch, smoking what looks like a cannabis cigarette. She waves me over. 

I sit next to her.

“Welcome.”

She is not ugly. She is not homely. She is just beautiful. I find her more than sexually attractive. She offers the spliff to me. I decline.

“Well, do you wanna play some games then? I’m kind of bored since I’ve been waiting on you forever.”

She shows me the extensive collection available. Anything that could be called a video game is in there, ready to be played. 

I decline this offer as well, shaking my head again. 

“Well, that’s all right I guess… Geez, you just wanna sit around staring at all the cool shit?”

I take another look around. There is, indeed, a lot of cool shit.

“Hmm… Maybe you just need a little house-warming gift.”

She puts down the spliff in an ashtray and moves over to me. She crawls across the couch on all fours and pulls me into a warm embrace. My face is in her tits. Her right hand glides down to my crotch while she holds my head to her chest with the other. Long story short, there’s some sex.

I’m pretty happy.

Afterward, she turns on the huge television. My dead body pops up on the screen. I can see my fatal wounds and flies buzzing around my corpse. Some maggots have begun to inhabit my decomposing chest. The telltale signs of empty bowels are very evident. I’m pretty disgusted at this point.

Preemptive Review of Pacific Rim Uprising

So a thing about me, is that i LOVE Pacific rim. It’s great, original (for the most part) and over all an awesome movie, i swear i could go on but this post is gonna enough, so go rent it from a Redbox, or buy it, because that shit ain’t on Netflix! 

So with the sequel coming out soon... I have doubts 

So what i am going to do is that i will through both official trailers, and give my thoughts and my concerns.

0:01 Okay, i hate this with trailers nowadays but, don’t put a Fucking mini trailer at the beginning! I know what i’m watching, i don’t need to be hooked, i’m already hooked!

0:21 At the beginning, this looks very good, you can’t tell really whats going on, you just heard a siren, with shit like explosions happening, and you see a giant foot so you  get a scale of things, all while you’re focused on this girl --witch i think is going to be the Mary sue-- in aw.

 0:30 Boyegas character says that they were born into this world, and it makes me realize that this war has been going on for decades! So in this movie you get a look (i’m assuming) into the lives of the people who were born into a world of Kaijus, and Yeagers.

0:41 The theme song! it comes in for a quick bit, but it’s slowed down, which i think is pretty cook

0:50 And then you get “oh shit” moment where humans are fighting humans! And i’m like “yeah, this was gonna happen eventually” also it gives it a bit of a Gundam feel, with the whole giant robots vs giant robots thing.

1:57 So it looks like in what i assume to be the climax, that the Kaijus fuse together, a sort of megazord made of monsters, if you will.

2:09 there’s a shot where all the Jaegers are getting ready to attack, witch looks pretty awesome.

2:17 You gets some cool shots and the MegaKaiju witch roars so load, that the windows in the building shatter, giving you a sense of how big this thing is.

1:59 Okay, so Saber Athena (or Sabrina as i like to call it,) the female looking Jaeger, because why not, uses a sword, now that’s good and all because it solves the problem of not using it for the majority in the original, BUT a good argument for them not using it was because Kaiju blood, is very poisonous, so using a sword would spread blood everywhere.

2:07 A Jaeger is batted across the city while another Jaeger is sliding under it, that’s very anime.

2:20 Here’s a design flaw with the elctro whip, a Kaiju could grab it and swing the Jaeger around the city destroying a ton of buildings, witch is exactly what happens.

2:29 Finally the title appears, and shows Gypsy Avenger using it’s plasma gun to control it’s trajectory while falling towards the earth, it’s not exactly free flying, more like free falling.

TL;DR/summery: If i had to some up Pacific Rim Uprising, it would have to be Mainstream. It looks very mainstream, and that’s probably due to Del Toro not directing it, now due to the original not being a major success at the box office, Legendary Pictures thought it was Del Toro’s fault, witch is stupid because anything that man touches turns into gold! 

It looks very anime, witch is pretty good, less of the ‘realisticness’ of the original, and more of the straight up anime Shit.

 The Jaegers themselves look very generic, with the only distinctions being the colors and some basic things like some are bulky, one is very feminine looking, where the originals were very distinct, you have the default, the new model, one with three arms, and one was just wearing a trash can and boxing gloves, and they all very well represented there native countries, unlike Uprising.

I like the ‘song’ they keep using, but i wish they would use the main Fucking theme.

Visual it will be a lot brighter, a lot cleaner, and less gritty then the original, and i don’t know how to feel about that, i assume it’s because they’re trying to pander to kids, witch i’m kinda on the fence about, on one hand it gets kids interested in mechas and maybe anime, but on the other hand there’s gonna be some annoying Damn kids when i go see it.

Plot wise, it kinda goes into my philosophy of, that the end of anything, humans will always fight each other, so i’m really curious where the movie goes.  

There are some good ideas like the Kaiju-Jaeger hybrid, and the MegaKaiju, but at the end of the day, it’s just too mainstream. i Don’t think it’ll be bad, it’s just i don’t think it’ll be as good as the original.

So i’ll post the trailers below for you to see for yourselves, so you can form your own damn opinions.

Transiting Pallas Rx into Aries

Almost five months after Pallas went into Taurus, she’s now dragged kicking and screaming back into Aries for some do-over. I always feel like this kind of retrograde is an indicator that we somehow “missed” something important the first time through. What was it for you? (Health issues to be settled, here.)

I wrote last June about Pallas beginning her retrograde zone with “a really brilliant idea about creative self-expression” - link here. How did that work out for you, anyway? Perhaps that “brilliant idea” turned into more of a “harebrained scheme” when Pallas was in Taurus. Perhaps we never found a suitable mentor, or we never found anyone to mentor, or it never occurred to us that we need a mentor. I think, too, there could have been some problems with trying to manifest (Taurus) the “brilliant idea” (Aries) using the same old timeworn techniques (Taurus).

Some of these participants show up again over the next month. The Nodes have backed away from the main action, true. And although Pallas will be within one degree of Uranus, the conjunction will never be exact. (For some stickler type astrologers, that means the conjunction doesn’t “count.”) The Sun and Mercury are present, but (1) individually and (2) in Sagittarius - the sign opposite Gemini.

We also have added several new players: Mars, Vesta, Juno, Saturn, and Neptune. It’s almost at the point where we tip our hats to the planets which haven’t been part of this.

Wednesday, November 15, Vesta/Libra opposite Pallas Rx/Aries, 29:59

Note well the extremely late degree. Also notable is that within a span of 73 minutes, Pallas retrogrades back into Aries; next, Pallas and Vesta oppose each other; and last, Vesta enters Scorpio. The Moon in Libra is right there as well. Oppositions bring awareness of others, and what I hope for this is that we become aware of the (inevitable) flaws in our “brilliant idea.” As oppositions also work through other people, we could find this message delivered by a “Lunar Vesta” type - there could be a break with a partner who moves on to work on her/his own.

Maturing just over 24 hours before Pallas stations direct, we’re going to carry the resonance of this trine into mid-January - there’s a New Moon in Sagittarius, seven hours after Pallas’ station. Demetra George wrote this about sextiles and trines between the Sun and Pallas: “Harmonious aspects point to strength of character, intelligence, and courage. These individuals tend to create through artistic, political, or healing forms.” I think my keyword here should be “valiant.” Provided we’ve rid ourselves of any ego trips, and can stay amenable to both working alone or in partnerships, our “new improved brilliant idea” will be ready for its roll-out.

Which I think is very cute, has great banter, cooperation, a sassy Dan, a flirty Phil, with no space between them and is definitely worth a re-watch.
