Mom always used to say, "Inside of you, there are two wolves: a good one and a bad one. Depending on which mouth you feed, one will triumph the other.”

She left out one thing, however: sometimes being bad feels so fucking good.

“We’ve got a verrry special treat for you tonight folks!” the DJ announces. “She took a break for a little while but now she is BACK… and here to stay with us, FOREVER! Put your hands together for the ONE, the ONLY — Hellfire’s Princess — SHYYY GIIIIRL!”

And the crowd goes wild.

You emerge from the side stage in your glimmering scarlet set, flipping your plump, bouncy locks around as you dip your hips to the beat. Your regular customers swoon as you blow them kisses, and the petty kisses you issue to the Hellfire Girls (they came to pick up their severance checks) leave them shaking in their stilettos.

"WOOO, HARGROVE!" Nancy cheers for you backstage, dancing to the song as she curls Nina's hair.

"LET 'EM KNOW, BABY!" Nina shouts after her.

You acknowledge them with a wink, giving one to Chrissy as well as she cheers for you on the opposite side of the stage, bouncing up and down in her sexy Hellfire cheer uniform.

“Let’s go, Shy Girl!” ‘Cherry’ cheers as she waves her pom-poms in the air. "LET'S GOOOO!"

She's hot! Can’t stop! Up on stage doing shots!

You shake your ass when the song calls on it, grinding your hips to the beat to match the lyrics as they come. The crowd hoots and hollers as you dance, showering you in dollar bills as you make the pole your bitch for the night.

“YEAAAH!” Max cheers. “That’s my sister!”

As you glide down the cylindrical silver steel, you wave to the crowd and thank them all for coming out.

“Thank you! Aww, thanks so much! OMG, how are you? Long time no see!”

But just because you’re doing your thing on stage doesn’t mean you aren’t paying attention to the happenings beneath you. Because while you have a bird’s eye view of Vecna’s Lair, you can’t help but fix your gaze on Lucas, who is dressed rather sharper than usual tonight, going up to Maxine in attempts to ‘rizz her up’.

“I see spiciness runs in the family,” Lucas remarks to her as they stand beside each other in Vecna’s Lair.

The self-proclaimed 'Dark Chocolate' shoots her an awkward wink, to which Max responds with a grimace on her face.

“Genetics wasn’t playing ‘bout y’all,” Lucas continues. "You're looking mighty fine tonight, Max."

“Thanks. I guess,” Max shrugs, refusing to entertain it. “But, if you knew anything about family dynamics and DNA, you’d know she’s my step-sister."

"Psh," Lucas scoffs. "Yeah! Yeah, I knew that."

"Course you did," she jeers. "Stalker."

“Stalker?! I thought we were friends.”

Max rolls her eyes. “Whatever this is, is far from platonic.”

She begins to strut away, giving Lucas the opportunity to race after her. And Sinclair wastes no time, pushing himself past the sea of sweaty men to catch up to the beautiful redhead in front of him.

“So there’s a chance we can be more than friends?!”

You chuckle as you watch it unfold from the stage. Then you turn to everyone else.

Argyle and Jonathan give you two stoned-filled waves hello. You wave back. Henry whose the designated bone-snapper bouncer tonight blows you a kiss. You catch it and return the favor. Mike and Will don't even give you the time of day.

You then turn your attention to Dustin who is both head-banging to the song, and holding up a lazily written message on the black screen of his phone: “I AM LOOKING RESPECTFULLY”. You can't help but giggle. It's like he's a mini Eddie.

Speaking of your boyfriend, your eyes dart back to the side stage where you meet Eddie’s gaze.

She likes to pull my hair when I make her grind her teeth.

You watch as the curly-haired, metalhead-turned-strip-club-owner eyes you steadily, situating his guitar around himself, giving the body of his NJ Warlock one more wipe down with a cloth.

He smirks to himself, satisfied at the thought that only you two know why that guitar needed wiping down in the first place. But he’s mostly pleased with the fact that, despite the long list of handsome, eligible bachelors after your heart, the passionate, down-to-earth, sexy, siren of a woman that is you, is all his.

My girlfriend's a dick magnet. MY girlfriend…

Eddie then takes to the stage, using the same fingers he’ll use to ravage you tonight to strum the chords of the sexy guitar solo of the song — you know, the song about a guy…..with a hot stripper girlfriend…..whose seducing everyone around her while she does her thing…..in that beautiful red set.

“HOLY SHIT!” someone from the crowd raves, causing Eddie’s eyes to light up like a little kid. “DUET OF THE CENTURY!”

You’ve healed so many parts of Eddie that he was too scared to explore: Love after Isabelle. Showing him that self-care is just as important as caring for Wayne. Encouraging him to find a hobby outside of Hellfire that didn't include doing payroll or grocery shopping. And healing his inner teenager by letting him play on stage with you, as he relives his glory days as the guitarist and frontman of Corroded Coffin one last time.

And as Eddie continues to strum, he stays thinking of you. He couldn’t wait to heal more parts of himself…with 'Shy Girl' Hargrove by his side.

“So,” you pant, edging closer to your boyfriend as the music draws on. "What's next after this?"

Eddie smirks. As the instrumental allows, he presses you against his body, kissing you softly against the lips before trailing all the way down your neck. Your breath hitches in arousal as he hums against you.

“Whatever you want.”

The booming voice of a man in Steve’s bedroom stirs him awake.

Letting out a ferocious yawn, The King rubs his eyes free of the annoying crust in the corner of his sockets, flopping around one more time before doing his routine stretch.

“Google,” Steve commands. “Turn off the TV.”

The TV immediately switches off. It’s nothing personal to meteorologist Marcus Bailey, but if Steve ever needed an accurate forecast of Indianapolis, all he would have to do is look outside his penthouse window. And that, after brushing his teeth, is just what he does.

"G'morning Indy,” he sighs happily on his balcony before going back inside.

Steve then makes his way over to the kitchen to fix himself some breakfast.

“Google,” he calls out again. “Open the curtains, please.”

Google replies:

“Opening curtains. Good morning — Steve.”

"Google, what's my schedule looking like today?" "Google, text Dustin." “Google, what is the weather looking like in Nevada?” “Google, turn on my shower tunes.”

The best thing about not living with Eddie Munson anymore, is that Steve can shamelessly sing Amy Winehouse in the shower without being hounded about it.

All Steve had left to do for the day now was grocery shop. Which was always a hassle. Because sometimes, the store doesn't have the specific brand he's looking for so the shopper has to opt for an alternate version. Or sometimes, the shopper assigned to him that day chooses produce that is nearing its expiration date making every fruit in his bag a mushy mess. It doesn't happen too often, but it sure feels inconvenient as hell when it does. There are worse problems in life though, so Steve really can't complain.

*Ring, ring. Ring, ring*

The very distinct and custom ringtone has Steve bolting across the room to answer the call. One of his best friends was on the other line.

"Yello?" he says into the phone.

"Hey, it's Shy Girl," comes a voice. "Eddie and I are pulling in."

"Pull off to the side. Valet's got it. I'll send you guys up."

A bottle of cabernet sauvignon a la Steve awaits the pair when they make their way over. Consider it a Tony's pre-game.

"GameWorld stock is up 4% today,” Steve's buddy, and owner of Hellfire Gentlemen's Club Eddie Munson announces as the two clink glasses. "I don’t have much faith in it though, figure I’ll get my pie slices from actual grocery stores. Like Meijer.”

“Everyone's always gonna need groceries,” Steve points out. "Definitely. Just don't day trade. Not now."

"Ooh, you hear that, Eds?" Shy Girl nudges him. "You gotta be careful where you put your money."

"I gotta be careful with my money, period," Eddie smirks. "You're a danger to my pockets, angel."

"Oh but you love me," she says.

"Yeah," Eddie gives in, grabbing his lover's dainty digits, trailing his fingers across hers, and rubbing the glistening rock that took up most of her left hand on the distal side. "I sure do."

"I'm just... so proud of us," Steve sappily reflects. "So much has happened over the past two years and we've all come so far."

"Yeah," Shy Girl agrees. "And it's about fucking time we celebrate."

"I agree," Eddie chimes in, raising his glass once again. "This weekend trip is going to be... one for the books."

"Viva Las Vegas," Steve toasts. "Cheers."

They're the two colors that occupy your closet the most. But of course, after graduating from Washington State University (or Wazzu, for short), you expected nothing less.

You could do with some more sequins though, you think to yourself as you pack your bags.

When you left Seattle to attend WSU Pullman, Elle was your only friend in business class. Mainly because the class was predominantly for dudes, but eventually you found out that you two have a lot in common.

Elle is everything you would want in an older sister figure: she is both book smart and wise, she is sexy, and she eats men for breakfast. And, now that she's about to celebrate the launching of her lingerie business (along with her Dirty 30s Era), and you're about to enter your new-grad era, you two are hitting up Las Vegas to go ham together one last time.

It's all so bittersweet. You owe everything to the Warrens, having taken you in when you were a lost undergrad. It also sucked quite a bit not having a support system after graduating high school. You and Elle were all each other has. Which makes this inevitable separation so much more painful.

"Are you sure you're okay with Vegas by the way?" you question. "I know since the split, being surrounded by gorgeous girls 24/7 can kinda be triggering.”

"Don't worry about it, love," she shakes it off. "The past is in the past. This is a new era of me."

Cheers to that. Clinking your airport-pregame champagne glasses with one another, you raise a toast to yourselves, celebrating how far the two of you have come over the past four years.

Card Showcase: Tilde, Nurse-In-Training & Rose, Devoted Florist

Tilde and Rose are two personal favorite NPCs from our campaign, a nurse and a florist in the quiet town of Cobbleston who are madly in love! Rose always finds excuses to hand-deliver medicinal flowers and herbs to Tilde's clinic. Together, they helped our heroes rescue an injured child after a run-in with the villainous Ans Fleurellian!

It certainly depends on where it is that they spend the holidays. Growing up, her fathers often did the holidays aboard so their holiday dinners were quite glamorous affairs. Something that even in her younger age, she came to realize was quite unique to her family. Now, if their holidays plans kept them in Rosewood, it was very much an extended family affair at the Dunn household as Kirby and his family are certainly the glue that kept everyone together when they all found themselves in Rosewood in the future.

I think that would have been a Cristiano job, but Louise is very much her fathers daughter so she picked up his knack for putting together a stellar tree over the years. I think now a days, she's very much the project manager and the men in her family have simply accepted that fact.

Keegan, hands down. But I also believe there was a year, the family found the cookies eaten and that most definitely was Alfie's doing.

I want to say that Louise certainly belongs on the nice list. Whilst she can be snobby and her opinions might be a bit harsh at times, she truly has people's best interest at heart at the end of the day.

Her first designer object would be her most cherished christmas gift. An emerald green quilted chanel purse gifted to her by Lana.

Louise is not one of the lucky few that has the voice of an angel. Her position would have surely be more the managerial variety. She certainly ran a Rosewood production like if she was running the navy, much to the dismay of everyone behind the scenes.

EVENT 009 {DEC 28 - JAN 11} CHRISTMAS IN AURORA BAY PART 2

After weeks of merriment all around town, Christmas has come and gone, and now it's time to celebrate the end of the year!

While the decorations all around Aurora Bay will remain up until the new year, along with the markets, everyone's sights are now set on Aurora Bay's New Year's Eve celebration: A masquerade ball!

Held in Seascape Hotel's lavish hall (and catered by the hotel's restaurant, Fire and Ice) the entire town is invited to ring in the new year in style!

And don't forget the champagne toast at midnight!

since we're all still very busy with the holiday season, we're letting part 2 go for two weeks as well as allowing part 1 to continue as we all ease into 2024.

In game the ball will be held on Sunday, December 31st, from 8pm until 2am.

PARK EUNSOOK and SHIM JOOHEE gather all of the FABULA members in the living room. with the two of them carrying drinks and snacks for the girls, EUNSOOK begins the meeting as usual. “we have some exciting things in store for all of you, so let’s get started.”

NEW MODEL ENDORSEMENT ( LINE FRIENDS )

“i’m happy to announce that FABULA will be teaming up with LINE FRIENDS! in preparation for that, the company has asked each of you to team up and create a mascot character that best represents you. since each of you have your own representative emojis, we were thinking that we could create merchandise related to that. it’s going to require some brainstorming so my personal advice is to probably seek some advice and suggestions from the model brand owners. they’ve released their own collections and were given a chance to do something like this, so maybe you’ll gain some insightful information and inspiration.” EUNSOOK smiled at the girls, excited to see what they would suggest.

MUSIC CHARTS

( note: this information is mostly for ooc purposes in case the music charts isn’t updated on time during fabula’s comeback period. )

for the first week ( OCTOBER 19-OCTOBER 22 ), ‘TOMBOY’ would be ranked number 1 on the music charts but due to the timing of their comeback, the music show wins will not be announced until the second week ( OCTOBER 24-31 ). during the second week, ‘TOMBOY’ will remain number 1 for most of the week ( sometimes falling under 2nd place ), however FABULA will be the first lgc group in the current generation to win first place on ALL of the music shows ( the show!, show champion, m! countdown, music bank, show! music core, and inkigayo ) during their first week. FABULA will be promoting during NOVEMBER and will receive two more additional wins ( the show and show champion ) thus totaling 8 wins. 

their b-side ‘salty & sweet’ was originally placed in 25th place but quickly moved up to 5th place by the end of the first week and stay there until the end of their promotions. ‘hypnosis’ stayed in 4th place and 'would you run ( fabula ver. )’ stayed in 16th place.

all in all, congratulations to fabula for their wins!

HAYOUNG & MINJI’S BIRTHDAYS

because HAYOUNG and MINJI’s birthdays fall at the end of october ( and during halloween ), on OCTOBER 29 before INKIGAYO, they will get a chance to interact with the fans. the fans will have a surprise for the two girls and hand them some handmade gifts they made for them and provide all of the fabula staff members with lunches.

then around 10PM on OCTOBER 30, the FABULA managers along with EUNHYE will surprise both of the girls in the dorms with a sleepover! the party will last until 12:30AM to celebrate HAYOUNG and MINJI’s birthdays.

LGC WEBTOON OST

EUNSOOK then announces another small project, “it’s going to be announced soon that LGC’S WEBTOON — which originated as PROJECT ORIGIN, will now be an animation series! since all of your alter egos are a part of this universe, LGC has asked FABULA to record two songs that will be part of their OST.” 

more details about the webtoon will be coming sometime around Q1 2024, but FABULA will be recording two songs:

due to their busy schedules, this will be done whenever the girls have any free time and will be done in several separate recording sessions. in the case of yejin, she will be included in the OSTs and it will not be known to the public until Q1 that she has left the group ( but to the fabula members, they will know about this after the ‘tomboy’ promotions have concluded ).

furthermore, for ‘BONVOYAGE’, the english version of that song will be added to FABULA’s next album when the time comes to help attract the international fans.

PLANS FOR THE NEXT ALBUM

sometime around early NOVEMBER, MINJI will be called to a meeting with EUNSOOK where she will be telling MINJI that legacy is already starting to work on a new album for FABULA and that she will be given a chance to suggest a solo b-side that will be added to the album.

here are some rules to take into consideration for this task:

the song has to be a korean b-side or title track that was released sometime between JULY 1, 2021 to DECEMBER 9, 2023. drama osts will not count for this. in terms of the irl reference, it must be from a SOLO or DUO artist(s).

it’s recommended to choose a song that reflects a bit of MINJI’s personality along with FABULA’s image. 

please send at least 3 song suggestions to admin a ( cloud ) or the main so that it can be reviewed through ( and if you have any questions, please contact her )! to give the admin team ample time to finalize the song, you have until DECEMBER 9, 2023 11:59PM EST to send in the songs.

year end ceremonies will be in a separate post and be revealed at a later time. near the end of the meeting, EUNSOOK will inform the girls that during the week of DECEMBER 4, they will be having a special schedule, but not much is discussed about it except that for one of the days, they are expected to wake up at 3AM in the morning.

Hark! A Royal Request!

Pokémon Scarlet and Violet soon approaches, and if reception is good, I plan to play it myself. However, I would like to do so blind, yet would like to make informed choices and be able to complete the regional pokédex. To this end, I request that a tool be made - a sort of spoiler-free completion guide. I'll keep adding to this list as I go. I can't be the only one who finds this a bit of a scam or something right? If I choose to endure commercials I should have enough to watch to actually make the commercials worth it for me as the customer right? Idk it's practically saying Premium is the only way to use it, but at that point just make the Premium the default. You sign up, subscription payment included. There doesn't seem to be a reason for a commercials option with such a limited selection of episodes in each series to watch.

In January 2023, zappak held a duo improvisation event with Takashi Masubuchi and Yosuke Morone. Masubuchi mainly performs improvisations with an acoustic guitar. Morone, on the other hand, plays with some function generators. This album is a record of their first collaboration. Masubuchi used a style in which he played from beginning to end over the sustained notes produced by Morone, rather than responding to each other, on this day. Morone's sound is centered around clean, sustained sounds, but it changed shape very slowly, with intermittent interruptions and amplification of the bass, increasing its presence. The sounds blended together in a large flow. I hope you will feel the contrast between the different texture of acoustic and electronic and the way of dialogue from these performances.

2023年1月、zappakは増渕顕史と諸根陽介のデュオによる即興演奏のイベントを企画した。増渕は主にアコースティック・ギターによる即興演奏をおこなっている。対する諸根は複数台のファンクション・ジェネレーターを使用した演奏をおこなっている。本作は彼ら二人による初共演の記録である。 ここでの増渕の演奏は、相手の音に呼応するというよりも、むしろ諸根の出す持続音の上で終始自由に爪弾くようなスタイルをとっている。諸根のサウンドは潔さのある持続音が中心だが、非常に緩やかに形を変え、断続的に音が途切れたり低音を強調したりしながら増幅されていき、その存在感を増してゆく。大きなフローの中でお互いの音は融和する。アコースティックとエレクトロニックという異なる質感のコントラストと対話の手法を是非この演奏から感じていただきたい。

Takashi Masubuchi (増渕顕史)

Born in 1984. Tokyo-based guitarist and improviser. Masabuchi has been playing guitar in a variety of groups since his teens. He began performing improvisation as a member of Pelktopia, his project with Hironobu Shimazawa (launched in 2008). Since 2018 he has been devoting himself to acoustic guitar performance. In that year he released two solo albums, R,R,R (CD, Headlights Recordings, Portugal) and Disappearing Foliage (cassette tape, Senri Records, Japan). He also releases collaborative albums with other musicians and contributes pieces to compilation recordings. 1984年生。主に東京で演奏活動を行う、アコースティックギター・ハーモニカ演奏家。 10代の頃より様々なロックグループでギタリストとして活動を行い、その後、ブルースを基調とした、よりミニマル・ドローン的性質を持つ音楽を志向し、実験と実践を繰り返す。 さらにその後、初期衝動の持続と音楽的探求のため、アコースティックギターを用いたソロでの即興演奏を開始。 自身の身体知と情動に基づき、意図性を排したリニアかつ自然発生的演奏を行うが、自身と場に起こるイレギュラーもそれはそれとして楽しむ。 特に音列と間の概念に関心を持つ。 2018年 R,R,R (Headlights Recordings)・Disappearing Foliage (Senri Records)２枚のソロアルバムをリリースする。 takashi-masubuchi.com

Yosuke Morone (諸根陽介)

【Review】

Vital Weekly: The Japanese Zappak label is always surprising, with music on the fringe of improvisation, sound art, and conceptual art, plus it usually introduces new names. New names such as Yosuke Morone, who plays electronics and prepared sounds in duet with Takashi Masubuchi on acoustic guitar. I know him from various releases on Ftarri, which is also the location where they played on January 28, 2023, and it’s the first time they played together. Radical music is a perfect example of what the label stands for. Two pieces on this CD are named after their duration, ‘[34:18]’ and ‘[33:02]’. The first opens with a high-frequency sine wave sound, which is piercingly loud (and I can’t imagine what it sounds like to someone thirty years younger than me), and the guitar plays individual notes, very quiet and sparse. Think Taku Sugimoto but with a backing of sine waves. Slowly, these sine waves (created with function generators) alter in white noise and, towards the end of this piece, intense bass sounds. The high piercing tones don’t return in the second piece, in which Morone’s contribution is quite different. More like obscured tape hiss, being slowly amplified. In both pieces, there is a gradual build-up towards something much louder (but not noisy). There isn’t much interaction between both players, but that’s the idea of the music here: no responding to each other. The guitar sounds clean, while the electronics are deliberately vague and strange. This works better in the second piece than in the first piece. (Reviewed by Frans de Waard)
