Six Sentence Sunday

Tagged by @inqorporeal and no, I can’t count.

Din slowly raised his arms, showing he carried no weapons. The turrets remained locked on him.

“Ssoz?” He kept his tone mild. ��It’s me. I’m hoping you can help me find a ship.”

“Oh, it’s ‘Me,’ is it? That’s so helpful.” The light rumble of the scrapper’s voice sounded irritated, but no more so than usual. “Do you know how many ‘Me’s’ I know?”

Ssoz appeared from behind one of the turrets, waving an arm to deactivate them. Spot, her helper droid, hovered in the air near her shoulder, warbling something to her. 

“I’m Mandalorian.” He lowered his hands, releasing some of his tension.

Ssoz canted her head, her milky eyes seeming to focus right on him. Her skin was a patchwork of brown and yellow, and curved horns grew along the ridges of her head. She was mixed race and the trandoshan in her was obvious, but he was never sure if the rest was zabrak, noghri, or something else.

“Spot says your armor’s shiny, now.” She walked forward til Spot beeped a warning and then paced a circle around him, giving him an occasional jab with a blunt finger. “You here for some paint so you don’t stand out like a disco ball?”
