Ingo and Emmet from the Rain world au (but actually properly rendered this time hgfuorhgfnbol)
and warden Ingo with Irida (molded after the Hunter. she is on Hard Mode.) pearl clan is stationed in a verrrry cold area of this structure (not the same as in-game) and also on the opposite end as the diamond clan (who lives in an area somewhat like the shoreline)
the clans do exist! they are just groups of slugcats that banded together to survive. galaxy team is also in existence, but Much Smaller. they travel rather than stay in one spot.
Ingo and Emmet are from outside the structure. they help ferry people over the seas of worm grass between other groups of slugcats. they don't usually travel into the structures.
#submas#submas au#ray's art#rainmas#linless my beloved........#oh yeah i. could not fit in the submas sideburns and also make it look good.#also. instead of moon and pebbles this is actually palkia's and dialga's structure#more on the whole arceus situation once im done drawing it.....#if you dont know anything about rain world! uh. there are super computers that kinda. control the weather in their structures a bit#mostly making it rain (hence rain world) but its. to a deadly extent so the slugcats have to hibernate until its over#the super computers are considered gods (or. pebbles refers to himself as one) but cant leave the room they were built in#the two you meet in the main game is Five Pebbles and Looks to the Moon#they do have little camera like things that lets them look at stuff outside their rooms called overseers#...more on that stuff when i get to arceus lol#ah... i dropped a lot of lore into the tags. whoops.

About the reblog game--is the POV going to stay on Ingo the whole time or are we going to get Akari randomly showing up incredibly confused and possibly falling from the sky again
On that note, did Akari even get sent back? Some of your works sort of imply that Arceus is kind of cruel and it won't let them go back together, so is she like fistfighting it right now to get sent back too? It would be absolutely GUTTING for Ingo to finally remember Akari only to find out that she never got sent back and then yet again start to beat himself up over the hypotheticals <3
As far as I know, it will just stay with Ingo. It’s planned to so far, but of course a winning option could always change that!!
And yes, Akari got sent back too, they just got sent back to their respective regions! It’s something that’s supposed to be made clear later on (if this story ends up going the projected way, at least) and we have not reached that yet, so yes it’s not very clear right now. But she got sent back and is now back in the modern day, same as Ingo!
I do hope to continue this comic soon, I know we reached the goal but I’ve been unable to work on it lately because of my neck ;-; I hope I can do so again soon!
And as for my interpretations, I have many, many thoughts about Arceus. I do not intend for Arceus to be cruel (it’s actually meant to be rather the opposite, Arceus is supposed to be extremely hands-off but compassionate, not intervening but offering guidance and help. There is emotional distance and no attachment or personal sentimentality; Arceus helps in situations it’s present in where it realizes it can be helpful, but it does not seek them out. If that makes sense (Like if I see a bug drowning in my pool while I’m swimming in it, I will scoop it up and watch over it as it dries itself off until it can fly away. But I do not go out of my way to go out to my pool and search for bugs that need help every day. Best way I can describe Arceus being hands-off but compassionate).
But of course no one really knows this interpretation in my works yet yet except for me, as I have not published the works that focus on this yet. (And to be clear, this characterization would extend to this reblog comic too)
As of now, all that people have really seen from me that I can recall is that Akari has expressed worry that they will not be allowed to go back together and Ingo will have to be left behind, so she will force Arceus to let her take Ingo back with her if she must. So yes Arceus sounds cruel lol, but it’s really Akari just assuming and preparing for the worst in an unknown scenario.
More about my interpretation of Arceus below, and how it relates to my overarching narrative in my fics.
Here is a piece I’ve been sitting on for a long, long time. But again because of my neck, don’t know when I am going to finish this art. A handful of people saw this sketch last year (and it is almost a year old now which makes me sad ;-;) but it is for my overarching canon that I have built for my fics, most of it becoming relevant in works that have not been published yet. Stuff in the stained glass depictions probably do not make sense yet because of this, apologies.
BUT it is Savepoint AU. I’ve talked a little about it before but some things have changed since then. Basically as it is now, both Akari and Ingo are not from this time. The timeline is trying to clean itself out (as it does with Pokemon and things that manage to stick around after space-time distortions) and get rid of them.
Arceus brought Akari to this timeline. Arceus has made save states for Akari (think like literally saving the game), something like an instance of how she should be (healthy, unharmed) as a reference. When the timeline tries to take her out (think like when you black out in PLA after taking too many hits from wild Pokemon, drowning, falling too far, ect.), Arceus reverts her body back to a previous save point where she was healthy and unhurt. Arceus brought her here for a reason and it wants to ensure she can finish the task. It will send her back when she completes it, so the timeline stops going after her.
Ingo was not brought to this timeline by Arceus. Ingo does not have save points. Ingo does not have a promise to be sent back home when he finishes his task, as he has no task to complete. Not because Arceus doesn’t care about what happens to Ingo, but because Arceus had nothing to do with Ingo’s arrival, and Ingo has nothing to do for Arceus. Ingo is just not really on Arceus’ radar, it’s focusing on Akari.
When the timeline starts trying to take Ingo out, he does not have save instances like Akari does to fall back on. For a while, Akari just relies on Arceus sending her messages through the arc phone about when something will happen (a method that Arceus employs once Akari has made it aware that Ingo is important to her, still without intervening) so that she can help Ingo avoid these incidents and stay alive, until she can finish her appointed task and bring him back home with her (as I said before, in her words, she’s going to do it whether she’s allowed to or not. She doesn’t know Arceus’ stance on things).
But this method cannot work forever, surely. And it doesn’t. Without spoiling anything, Akari begs Arceus for another way to keep going at Ingo’s end, and in its empathy, Arceus complies.
I’m looking forward to when I can get these works out and finish this piece. I think about Savepoint AU constantly haha.
As a last thing, I’ve attached this song. Practically all of it really works with this AU and I would like to do some sort of PMV for it eventually. But there are several lines in here that connect well with Arceus’ relationship with them in this AU as well from Ingo’s POV.
You held your hand in mine And then it felt so clear That you were in the air And I think so was I - Ingo does eventually receive care and protection from Arceus, but only through Akari’s insistence that he does. He experiences what Akari has been blessed with this entire time, and the difference is noticeable.
There’s a part of us in you And I was a fool Thinking it was me - Arceus is with Akari and protecting her, but it is not with Ingo nor is it protecting him. Before Akari came along, Ingo believed he was ‘protected’ too though, somehow managing to escape this timeline cleanse fate (yes, he did know about it technically from seeing what happened to space-time distortion pokemon), but he had not; it only started late.
Something outside my vision - Arceus, in relation to Ingo. It is not there for him, it does not appear for him, and has not reached out to him like it has for Akari. But it does eventually make itself noticable to him, it’s just not made itself comprehensible to him like it has to Akari.
#wayward’s asks#Get Back Home Reblog Game#Savepoint AU#<- I suppose#I go off on a tangent about it haha#specifically about Arceus’ relationship with Ingo and Akari in my fics and how I try to represent it#waywardstationart#<- I also suppose lol

We got Ingo isekai, we got Ansy isekai, and now we got Ikrik(?? Sorry if mispelled). Can we mayhaps get a Emmet isekai?
Haha, so first thing’s first: the Ansy & Ikrit who showed up in the isekai comics / doodles are not Pokéverse (DxP) Ansy & Ikrit (so don’t tag it under “DxP REWRITE” or “rewrite AU” pls lol XD)

Isekai-ed us are straight self-inserts while Pokéverse Ansy & Ikrit are more like AU versions of ourselves — they’re based on us & our experiences with the games, but live different lives (if that makes sense).
I’ve been meaning to make a comic or something distinguishing me from DxP Ansy - right off the bat, one of the biggest differences is that I have health problems that Pokéverse Ansy doesn’t have to worry about =7= (I’m sure with their advanced technology, they’d have found cures for this stuff 🥲🩵)
Another, easier tell is that I have a cool crescent moon scar on my neck lol & Poké-Ansy doesn’t (see above)
Oh, the funny consequences of basing your characters on yourselves XDXD
—
So, I’m not sure! In mipmoth’s original comic that inspired this AU of their AU (Hero of Bombs), they wrote in the tags that Emmet got isekai-ed to Spirit Tracks, & they’d reunite via a Linked Universe kinda scenario (if you don’t know, look it up - it’s a great crossover comic where all the Links go on an epic adventure! ⚔️🍃)
As for me, I imagined they’d just reunite back home as Ingo is just sent back much sooner than Legends Arceus, having helped Link defeat Ganondorf (me-Ansy going back home about the same time, arriving when as Ikrit does). We can consider Ingo’s memory of Emmet that showed up in the Spirit Temple a sort of reunion, along with whatever dreams he has of him. ^_^
On that note, I’ve been treating this Ingo more like the canon one, rather than the one my trainer is friends with & who’s featured in DxP REWRITE. I’m not sure, but that’s where I’m leaning. ouo
(EDIT: fixed some stuff & added some stuffs to help visibility ^0^)
#ask#hero of bombs#tears of the kingdom#zelda au#submas au#self insert#isekai#silly#lore#explanation#maybe pokéverse Ansy will get a change in appearance in the future to make it easier to tell us apart XD

i rewatched all of sinnoh's movies the other day and one thing i loved but don't see people talking about a lot is Pikachu's and piplup's relationship! they, just like ash and dawn, are best friends and have a very distinct dynamic that Pikachu doesn't have with other pokemon (that i remember!) literally in all four movies they're off doing their own stuff for a while without ash or dawn and as far as i remember that's the most independent Pikachu we've seen! not only ash found his soulmate (platonic or romantic, however you read them i find this statement to be true) but also Pikachu and I think that's so cute;;;;;
YES YES YES! I mentioned before somewhere here, but I like PikachuxPiplup more as a couple/duo than PikachuxBuneary exactly because of that!
Pikachu and Piplup, just like their trainers, were written as super close, absolutely bffs (and it's funny to see the 11 episodes of aim to be a master try and remedy that by trying and having more PikachuxPsyduck moments lol) and there's plenty of times in movies and the anime itself where we have them interacting.
I can't say for sure when it happens, but I have plenty of memories of Pikachu trying to reason with Piplup when he is angry/sad (the goodbye is one I'm sure where it happened), sharing high fives just like their trainers and is super cute how close and connected Pikachu is with Piplup (specially when he is very Ash-focused in other seasons).
Like, even the way Ash and Dawn were shown to be amazing in tag battles extends to Pika-Pips! Both trainers and pokemon have to get along to become as good as they are (specially in that sequence from the Arceus Movie)!
I think Togepi is the second closest pokemon to Pikachu and even then it was more of a babysitter situation than the friendship he and Piplup have.
#answered asks#|→ who is that pokemon?#the fact dp had some eps focused only on the pokemon also helped their relationship a lot#one of the reason XY and JNs poke relationships look kinda mid for me#fillers are good because that kind of shit

Art dump. making up for doing nothing for months. lol.
considerably longer than most of my posts.

This one was for a one shot of Hunter: The Reckoning I did with some friends. Reed was my character
the one on the right is Astra from Hyphen. Very nice story with the dumbest names when you realize what it means :) you can find it with this handy dandy link: here
I made this a year ago and only now realized that the tail is missing goddamnit
Onto renders n' stuff
i don't know what compiled me to make this but i felt it in my soul.
my real living room
is this getting me doxxed? anyways anytime i get my hand on a model that is easy to port to blender i just have to do something like this. TASTE THE SUN
i don't remember what game this model comes from, its defiantly not from the more recent games because the textures are way to flat and lack any about of perceived depth. if you don't know what im talking about just play legends arceus and look at the "grooves" in garde's hair. wait, thats my computer.
surprise, gmod renders

How would you rank the gens?
Ope I feel like I'm gonna upset some people LOL so disclaimer remember these are just my takes.
But this is how I personally see them (counting remakes as being part of the gen they remaking):
Gen 9 - Paldea Region
I've been thinking about this since the games came out, so I'd like to say recency bias isn't as much of a factor here. Bugs aside, I genuinely, genuinely love the storytelling, characterizations, and open world approach. FRIENDS THAT FEEL LIKE ACTUAL FRIENDS?? HAVING THE LEGENDARY WITH YOU THE WHOLE TIME, AND IT TOO HAS A PERSONALITY & BACKSTORY??? THREE SEPERATE STORYLINES THAT CONNECT TO A CANONICALLY DEAD PROFESSOR AND AN "EVIL AI" FINAL BOSS??? Like omg. I was amazed. I honestly usually dislike the "gimmicks" each generation brings, but terastilization caught my interest and I have a strong feeling nothing will personally top it as a gimmick for me. The DLCs really sent it all home for me for the #1 spot, like oh my god LOL. Past DLCs always just felt like something extra, but I literally cannot see this game as being complete without Kieran, Carmine & the rest of Kitakami/Blueberry peeps & their storylines. My interest in the games only grew because of all of it - and that's a massive compliment given the fact of how hard it is to accomplish such a level of monumental significance with only a few hours of gameplay. I've yet to replay the game with earlier access to The Teal Mask, but I feel like this would make it even more immersive. Just pure chef kisses here.
Gen 2 - Johto Region
A very close second. Heartgold/Soulsilver is the most elite remake in existence and idc if it's old school, I'll die on this hill. Johto is just so full of life - the continuation story is amazing, the immersion into culture and legendary stuff??? Mwah. Silver is an excellent rival, RED being a thing (the ultimate level of iconicism), and the double region will always hit. The soundtracks HIT and my god hearing them remastered iS INCREDIBLE. I even get obsessed with the pokeathlon dome and I'm usually not someone who gets into that kind of stuff. But THEY MADE IT FUN. And I love all the cute activities you can do with your team that can follow you around. So glad they brought this feature back. :')
Gen 5 - Unova Region
Oooooh I loved the reset of Gen 5. It's based on where I'm from and there were so many refreshing aspects of Black & White. From the new pokemon, to the NYC culture, to N & the whole beautiful storytelling there, and a sequel that somehow made everything even MORE polished. I literally remember referring to this region as the "Isshu Region" before the English names dropped becuase of the hype LOL. 10/10, cannot wait for these remakes. Gamefreak don't mess this up.
Gen 4 - Sinnoh Region
Oh, Gen 4. You hit good. The lowkey dreary vibes of Sinnoh is very nostalgic to me, and Piplup is one of my best buddies. Cynthia being the very first female Champion, and being as fearsome as she is, was such a big deal to me. Definetely Barbie'd her a bit in my mind because I look a like her and loved how much of an academic she was (but I def do not have her length in hair, lmao). Soundtracks are fire, of course. The way legendaries were integrated in the story without going too Dragonball Z was IMMACULATE, and the lake trio will always be my fave lil buddies. The only con I'd give this gen is that I disliked the HM reliance & D/P are practically unplayable to me since Platinum exists. I had low bars for the remake once I heard it wasn't Platinum, and ugh, they really dropped the ball. HOWEVER: while it isn't main line, I fucking love Legends: Arceus and would rather have that over an excellent remake, tbh.
Gen 1 - Kanto Region
This is another nostalgia one for me because of the fact that I quite literally was introduced to pokemon since before I can recall most memories (this is what happens when you have an older sibling with a gameboy, lol). It's probably tied with Gen 4, tbh. Firered wasn't my first game, but it hit really good because I "played" so much of R/B/Y. I know Gen 1 has its faults, and it's often seen as being pretty bare bones in comparison to other generations. And while I completely agree, god damn, what a good foundation for a franchise. Every town had a personality to it and is very memorable to me. The soundtracks are FIRE. Smaller pokedex, but damn does team building hit (and the starters are elite). Blue was also consistently my favorite rival until Kieran, lol. #oldrivalshipping/conflictingshipping was the original OTP xD
Gen 7 - Alola Region
So there's a lot of things I liked about Gen 7. It took a really big risk by breaking the formula, and it really immersed me into the Hawaiian culture & seeing your pokemon more as friends. I loved looking at pokemon in a different way and some of the pokemon introduced in this region are among my favorites (e.g. Ribombee, Bewear, Shiinotic, Mimikyu, Rockaruff, to name a few; starters also HIT). NEBBY AND LILLIE ARE ELITE. The professor is so lit, and Team Skull is the funniest team organization alive. AND YES, GET RID OF THE HMS. I honestly think a remake would make this gen jump up a bit more for me - the 3DS could barely handle this game, and it was showing. The facial expressions also need some work LOL, and I honestly dread the tutorial of the game. I like the ultrabeasts conceptually, but the execution of their involvement in the game is very DragonBall Z-ified. Ultra Necrozma lowkey would've been an amazing time for a "light" type even if it didn't make much sense, but hey, it was an awesome nuzlocke-killing moment anyway. xD
Gen 8 - Galar Region
I actually have a lot of play time for this gen. I was very obsessed with it when it came out, and could probably get glued to it all the same nowadays. But in hindsight, I realize a lot of my attachment to it was because of the semi-open worldness & ability to create a lot of different kinds of teams with a lot of new and old pokemon I like (I also liked having access to things earlier, like Ice Types before the end of the game lmfao). I still have a few things I really enjoy outside of it, though, like Hop's storyline & the setup of the gyms being in this stadium, sports-esque setting. But the plot? Eh. I have a lot of constructive criticism on how some shortcuts were made, and especially with the whole darkest day stuff lol. The only thing I liked about that fight was the dogs coming in and being cool; I wasn't impressed by or interest in Eternatus at all. The Leon fight afterward was fun, though! But oof, those weird men with the sword and shield hair afterwards were also just...no. :D DLCs also didn't quite hit that hard - it was more about having more pokemon than anything for me. So overall, it's fun to play, but I'd definitely change up the plot to make it better.
Gen 3 - Hoenn Region
This is where I think some people might wanna fight me, and to that I say you're probably valid. I don't know what it is with the Hoenn region because I actually don't have too many critiques about it (e.g., let's have less water routes); I just have never been able to get into it quite the same as I can others. I should honestly give it another shot, but I think I'd wanna do Emerald over Omega Ruby/Sapphire given the route they took everything with the remake lol. That's about all I have to say on this one since I never really connected with it as much!
Gen 6 - Kalos Region
This one feels like an especially hot take to have atm given where the pokemon community is in general LOL. Critical opinions ahead......Listen...no offense, but Gen 6 just ain't it for me at all. xD It's probably the one gen I actively dislike. The games felt way too easy with too much hand-holding/handouts, Team Flare & Diantha were a joke (and I'm not even a competitive player), and the whole group of friends felt more like an annoyance to me more than anything. They just weren't flushed out right. Neither was the plot. Like what was that plot. Outside of that, a lot of things just felt like "Look! Pokemon is in 3D now!!" over and over again because of how rushed the game was. So other than introducing fairy types & having pretty protagonists with some new clothing options, this gen is pretty forgettable to me. And that's a shame, because I like pokemon! I was one of those people who were curious on if we were gonna connect to Kalos for Gen 9, but I'd geniunely pick the DLCs we got any day of the week. I don't think Legends ZA will change much of my opinion on the mainline game, but given how much I loved Legends Arceus, I'm hoping it can be used to retcon & generate more interest/connection to the Kalos region in general.
Again, these are all just my personal opinions. I hope you all can enjoy pokemon in any way that feels good for you :) <3

SO... this almost killed my computer with how big the images were. lol But hell, my medicine seller OC is finally done!
I would have added more to Guan's image, but considering how big the file was, I had to nix that to make it smaller. Ah well, still works. Also, I apologize for the crap ton of watermarks. I am a paranoid son of a bitch and will not take it lying down to let people steal my shit all willy nilly.
More notes and rambling under the read more so I don't clog stuff up.
I couldn't figure out which hexagram to call him after his sword for the longest time. I found one that sounded nice but then forgot like a moron, and Guan just... kind of fit in the end.
If I were to have included his loves and hates, his love list would have been stuff like his family and his husband (the man is a loving sap), and for stuff he hated would be stuff like mononoke and feeling helpless (especially when he couldn't protect his family at times). We enjoy trauma and angst in this house. >D
So I mention a husband, who is that? ...It's the spirit inhabiting his sword, his shingi, so to speak. I just had it from the get go that those two would be an item, and it just kind of worked. Also, Guan nicknamed his husband as "Asahi". And yes, these two have a family, mostly in the form of a son and their son's family (a daughter in law and three grandkids... not canon complicit, probably, but eh, I'm here to have fun!)
For his sword, I almost went with a sort of salmonid theme because I love those goggly eyed bastards, but I stopped myself with the big brain idea of connecting his name to something that is named after a dragon but isn't one. Want a hint? The extinct creature's name translates as "Crown Dragon" in Chinese. >3c
His kimono is definitely not the most accurate, but eh, I tried with what I could. I also based it a bit off of what the protags of Pokemon Legends Arceus wears as default because that game was big on my brain when I was drawing him. >>
Next will be his other self to be drawn, as Guan does need his husband! It will just... be a hassle to design this bastard. Ho boy, wish me luck. x-x
EDIT: I'M A DIPSHIT AND FORGOT THE CREDITS- Fuck, I am a dumbass. x-x Anywho- Textures for both the BG and used on both Guan and his items are from Unsplash and Pixabay, both under a free use license. The brush I used for the sakura flower pattern on Guan's Obi comes from longestdistance on dA/Deviantart for Paint Tool Sai 2.

okay time to ramble about what i'd love to see in more creature collectors and what i'd do in my own. so first of all, i think we can all agree that pokemon definitely doesnt utilize the whole... 'pokemon in everyday life' thing NEARLY as much as they could. i get it, the games are RPGs lol. but like, stuff like concierge showing people just... having pokemon as their partners helping in other aspects of their life... maybe even enjoying hobbies with them... is really lovely. and, well, i think that while its hard to truly translate that into a pokemon game without just making a spinoff thats entirely focused on it, you could definitely delve into your pokemon helping you out with more than battle, and having more meaningful bonds with them. So, as much as I'd love a "tomodachi life but pokemon" game, like wobbledogs lol... I wanna talk about games that are Still Pokemon At their Core
so, whats something that kinda makes me feel a lack of bond with my pokemon, in pokemon? ...well, beyond the fact that friendship/affection (they were merged in gen 8) doesn't actually do that much, theres the fact that due to EVs, and in the reverse, *IVs* and hidden abilities and such from pokemon in raids.. its kinda hard to justify keeping a pokemon on your team when you just... find a wild version? its like. a static encounter of a dragonite with 2 perfect IVs and a hidden ability... right before my dragonair evolves... is gonna make me go "well, i guess... i gotta play with my dragonair that sucks more, because im attached to it. but theres really barely any benefits my old friend i caught as a dratini has, other than that its EV trained already" (thats another rabbithole lmfao its so uncontrolled) and as for EVs, its like. yea thats the trouble of including new team members... so kinda. in the reverse. you're discouraged from swapping around your team not just because of potential level grind, but because new pokemon you catch wont have any EVs at all, even if they're hyper-awesome hidden-ability-perfect IVs pokemon. so you'll probably just stick with a lot of the same pokemon. they snowball through the game, not much room to encourage using more. this has partially been just, me venting about how its hard to feel attached to my pokemon at times, but lets talk... what do i think are nice solutions to this? well, first of all, cassette beasts having levelling and stats mostly tied to the *player character* rather than the individual creatures leveling up, does immensely help the whole EV situation of discouraged experimentation with New Friends but also, the system of peeling stickers off of tapes that have leveled up a lot, or are evolved? that... means that if you WERE to find a really high leveled beast with some really cool ability, you could just... take it off that tape, and put it onto your original copy of the tape.
another thing i think is fantastic but ill save for part 2 of this post, is Beastieballs whole focus on your team feeling like a proper TEAM that all has RELATIONS with each other aside from just... having one thing in common, that being you as their trainer. they can form their own relationships, which i think is cool as hell.
anywaysimagine being able to like, release pokemon with hidden abilities to get ability patches! like how you release them to get grit rocks in legends arceus! yknow what else legends arceus does? thats right, the whole Pokemon Doing Things Other Than Battling and Helping in Everyday Life. someone wants one of your pokemon that has a water type move to help water the plants, which helps expand the farming area! now you can get bigger harvests from them! thats lovely, i think it really adds to the feeling of "pokemon can help us humans in more ways than just battling for us"
...but theres also something that legends arceus brought to my attention. Time to circle back again to "catching evolved, way more powerful pokemon, kinda defeats the meaningful relationship i have (or COULD have) with like, raising an unevolved pokemon" ...i was replaying the game, got to the crimson mirelands, and i caught a few budew! i named one something cute, and i was ready to have a fun journey with it as a team member. then i found an alpha roserade - definitely a bit overleveled compared to my team, but that didnt stop me from cheesing it and getting lucky with pokeballs (legends arceus REALLY lets you cheese catching powerful pokemon) but like... isnt training pokemon supposed to be scary? pokemon are frightening? this is legends arceus! the game where they try to kill you! if you apply Anime Logic, i didnt *prove* anything to that roserade. i just got lucky. why does it listen to me? theres no bond with this thing. I just... have enough of a star rank, so i guess it respects me. Nah, nah. In legends arceus they should've had pokemon that you caught by spamming balls at them like. retaliate at you. Gimme some anime-ass "show me your strength and only then will i be your partner" shit in the games, even if they dont literally retaliate and kill you like they would in legends arceus. just have them... disobey. use friendship/trust in more meaningful ways. i want to feel that ive really got a good two way street of trust and companionship with my pokemon, yknow? that kinda gets into the beastieball stuff. feeling like you and your pokemon are... well, you have feelings about each other. I like the anime moments where they . yknow. they never just catch a pokemon for the heck of it. they either help it out and gain its trust, or they prove that theyre worthy in the case of finding something Strong in the wild, like a pseudo-legendary or a legendary. shoutouts to lets go for having you fight legendaries before being able to try and catch them. good vibe check. legends za seems to be doing this too? for all pokemon? cool beans.
and... i have more to say, but like. i think thats the main stuff. i want more focus on bonding with your pokemon, and your team bonding with each other, and on the ways that pokemon and people can work together in ways that arent just battling. Have some pokemon be helpful for gathering berries, or some of them help the rest of your team feel better after a tough battle, or... seeing someone with a dewpider climbing up to their hard to reach plants to water them! I want to befriend creatures. I want to go on a journey with them. I want them to feel irreplacable mechanically just as they are irreplacable to me mentally. and I want to have something for pokemon that ARENT currently in my battling-squad-of-6 to be doing!! poke pelago was great for that!! it felt like they all had little lives!! instead of being cursed to just. being frozen in a digital box! so let me put them in other places, helping people out in their farms or in daycares!

Haven't done one of these in at least a year, but...
New milestone achieved for Eternally Never Yours! The joy in seeing a new 100 checkpoint passed is always a nice one.
We're doing extra numbers going past 1000 now too, whoo!
As stated before, this isn't really significant in the Super Mario AO3 lists anymore, like not even remotely. But, I think it's ok to celebrate small stuff like this still.
After all, it's a story that's reached so many different readers, and can still maybe connect with more in the future. Plus, like, it's fun to see the progress over time. (True to the content itself lol.)
Thank you all once again for reading!! It's such a delight to write a fun Mario fanfic and hopefully a great gay story too. (Seems to be true on the reading end for a good number of folks, at least, haha!)
But, I am always grateful that this story is found endearing enough for a lot of readers out there, and it wouldn't stand at all without you. I wish I could do more, but my talents are limited and the Internet makes it difficult too, so, my thanks to you will have to do.
BUT ALSO!
Please support the artists that have created fan art for the story as well! They make great content in and outside of the Mario fandom, on top of unique artworks too.
You can find each of them in the 1k post above or right here since scrolling back up can be a pain when we're not feeling it. (Know what we are feeling? Those adorable Bowser/Mario smooches! ...Well, like, in our hearts, right? ...You are here for a reason, you know.)
Anyway, thank you so much for the continued support! Hope to see you continue to check in on the story, and hopefully we'll see more readers join as the chapters continue to progress.
Hmm...let's add some nonsense trivia (non-story related, at least not in-universe, sorry) and random self-plugs below the cut!
Yeah, I ramble *a lot* here, so, that's your last warning. And it's not ENY related, not entirely, so, double warning.
...Still reading? Well, ok then!
Fun trivia bit that I also discovered on these milestone posts: the post linked above, this current one, and the one back for the 900 marker were all posted in the months of Spring. Fitting for blooming love, yeah? ...Come on, that one wrote itself.
Another fun trivia bit for the current photo in the post: the view count was 51,151 total, which was funny timing on my end. Nothing significant about it, at least off the top of my head, but it's fun to see.
(Although, 151 always reminds me of Pokémon, since that was the first Pokédex number total...they're well over 1000 now too. Ah, wait, they're totally going to pass me whenever they do Gen 10...! Oh well.)
(On that note, I also write a gay Pokémon fanfic series, which is also gay and dramatic! And somehow in a more high fantasy setting than the Super Mario one. Did that years before they came up with Legends: Arceus, but it's still cute and fun!)
(Oh, and back on the Super Mario end, I also did a (much shorter) gay series for Peach and Pauline! It's got a third story that I'm working on...very slowly, but like, still cute! And it's one of the oldest that I worked on years ago originally. Like, Pauline hadn't even made her Odyssey comeback when I wrote the first two.)
Wow, I haven't gone that far off-topic in one of these before, and probably never should again. Um. Did you ever see this post that I did about the Bowser Buddies in the story? His loyal minions? Feel free to read up on them!
I should...probably update the old character pages for the others on my blog...and the story pages...but, that's for when I've got more free time. Which is hardly ever, but, that's life!
Speaking of, you should get back to yours! If you read this far, you can pat yourself on the back, because you've proven your continued dedication to my ramblings! That's very sweet of you to stick around for that...or, uh, nice that you skipped down here to read more, lol.
Seriously though, thank you so much again. Hope you're looking forward to more ENY content in the future; I know that I am.
Best wishes to you, and much love. Please take care, and continue to do your best, no matter what you face!
Remember, tomorrow always brings the unknown to light, and you never know what wonders await you specifically. (Maybe nothing too crazy, but like, hopefully something great!)
All the best, good luck!

Ages ago back when Legends Arceus first came out, I toyed with the idea of completing a shiny dex. (Replacing every dex picture with its shiny counterpart) I got halfway through before massive mass outbreak hunting kinda killed my motivation. But! With Eevee week in Violet finally letting me complete the entire shiny eevee family, I regained some of that former vigor and have decided to give it another go!
I won’t spam you with updates since this is first and foremost an art/writing blog, but since I mostly do submas stuff I thought some of you might be mildly interested lol.
My two rules for myself are-
1: Transferring from other games is both allowed and encouraged. Shiny hunting distortion spawns is an exercise in misery and I will not participate in its madness. Those bad boys are getting Mesuda methoded
2: I’m not doing legendaries or mythicals. While I DO have the resources to do most of them, I find legendary hunts boring and uninteresting. (It’s mostly loading screens) And they’re long!! I could maybe do it if I only had to do one… but 10ish is far far too many (especially since I’d have to replay through bdsp TWICE to even START some hunts) Hunting all the legendaries would take up most of the time if I let it
Anyway, I’ll only post about my progress every so often (less then once a week lol) but if you want to block them completely I’ll be using the tag #blue’s shiny hunting adventures
All that being said- I’m currently at about 123/224!
(Extra info under readmore for those curious)
Here’s my current list! There’s probably some errors in there (as well as spelling mistakes but everything is highlighted in red so I’ll never know what’s ACTUALLY spelled wrong) but this is fine for now lol
Shinies I’ve transferred from other games so far include:
- a shiny patcharisu that I caught in bdsp via radar
- a shiny magikarp and garados I caught in a new years event in sword AGES ago
- a shiny sneasel (+weavile dex entry) that I hunted in violet named Lady Baby
- a shiny bergmite who I hunted in Violet named Akari (who I did NOT evolve so I’ll need a new one anyway)
- a shiny umbreon and espeon who I painstakingly hatched with perfect IVS in Violet
- a shiny vaporeon who I spent AGES hunting in Violet
- a shiny flareon and glaceon who I accidentally ran into ten seconds apart from each other when I wandered into their mass outbreak in Violet
- a shiny jolteon and leafeon who I casually hunted for and found later that day in Violet
- a shiny abamasnow, rufflet (+braviary dex entry), snorunt (+frostless dex entry), toxicroak, and golduck I found randomly while playing Violet
Since starting this challenge yesterday I have found a shiny starly, chatot, remoraid (+octillery dex entry), and tangela!
I also currently am at 32 perfect dex entries and will hopefully have more by the end of this lol
And, of course, here’s my current shinies physically in Legends Arceus!

I feel so cringe, I'm hyperfixating on my own AU so hard right now. Who let me do this?
Anyways, I'm going to ramble about my N in Hisui AU real quick because I'll go insane if I don't talk about it. Nothing specific, just stuff that I want to get out in no particular order.
I absolutely adore the idea of making N complete a Pokedex, no ifs, ands or buts about it. And its really just salt in the wound that it's the first one to exist (at least in the Hisui/Sinnoh region). This is going to be a world changing compilation of information that will influence how people interact with Pokemon for generations to come, a staple of the modern world of Pokemon research. And here's N, having no choice but to contribute to that.
Arceus (and also the worship of Arceus) is not as prominent in Unova as it is in Sinnoh but N is at least aware of who Arceus is (especially after it speaks to him before drop kicking him into the past). In a weird sense, N considers Arceus his friend, much like he considers every other Pokemon his friend in the same way. N doing this for Arceus is a weird mix between "doing a favor for your buddy" and "God himself just spoke to me Joan of Arc style and now I guess my whole life is doing side quests for the divine." All joking aside, N's relationship towards Pokemon is a big reason why he begrudgingly is okay with this. Not only is an all powerful being basically demanding it of him (he can't go back to Unova if he doesn't), but also. His friend needs something from him.
(More rambles under the cut, this post is just getting really long lol)
And then there's also how Team Plasma is reacting back in the modern day. Their King is just. Gone. Bye, bye, see you later. Where'd he go? Who knows but they really need to find him. And Ghetsis is so pissed. He's waited years to take control of Unova (and eventually the world) and just when he's so close to finally having achieved that, his main pawn just vanishes without a trace. N hasn't even awoken Zekrom yet so Ghetsis can't even command it in N's absence. Team Plasma is in full on panic mode with N gone and no matter how hard they look, they just can't seem to find him.
Meanwhile, back in the past, N has been found by the Galaxy Team and he despises them and pretty much anything they do. He's miserable working with them. From their usage of Pokeballs, to their goal of completing the Pokedex, to the way they talk about Pokemon is such a horrid way, everything about them turns N off from them. The one thing he does slightly enjoy is the pastures. Since boxes and PCs don't exist yet, the caught Pokemon are left in the pastures instead which N feels is much more humane and a nicer way to treat them. He still believes they shouldn't have been caught at all but small victories and all that.
N dislikes Pokemon professors and Professor Laventon is no exception. And his assistants aren't much better either. They're pretty amazed at not only his fearlessness about Pokemon but his ability to communicate with them as well. I mean, from Professor Laventon's perspective, that could fundamentally change researching Pokemon as a whole. N wants nothing to do with him and frequently gets angry with him for prodding him about his abilities. His friends aren't tools for research and neither is he.
But Rei and Akari? Oh, they think N is so cool. He's fearless about Pokemon in a way no one has ever seen before and he can talk to them? To these two fifteen year olds, he's one of the coolest adults ever.
And speaking of those interested in N. Volo. I don't even know where to start with the dynamic these two would have. Volo is interested in N right from the get go and this person who "fell from the sky" and is only even more intrigued when he learns N can communicate with Pokemon. N considers Volo to be just a regular human like all the rest and cannot understand why Volo is so insistent on being around him. N, being Arceus' "chosen one" as you could put it, is automatically of interest to Volo. Obviously, Volo has no knowledge of N's role as Hero of Ideals but if he ever found out, it would not be surprising to him, based solely on the way N acts. And, as Volo is the way he is, he has this bitterness towards N over Arceus communicating with him. Is it because N is special? Or does Arceus simply like anyone else more than Volo? Either way, N's both an object of Volo's intrigue and also someone he maybe kind of hates a little bit.
I have more thoughts but that'll probably be another post, this is already long and I am tired. But as always, feel free to send me asks about this AU, I will never turn down an opportunity to talk about it and I love it when people engage with stuff I make :)c
(Masterpost for this AU)

Hi, I hope you’re doing good in life!
So obviously pokemon legends arceus never got another update or dlc and it probably never will at this point, (which still makes me a little sad tbh) but in a world where it did get more updates what would you have liked to see? I person would’ve loved a dlc where we could go to Iron Island, Full Moon Island, and New Moon Island, and the area that became the battle resort in the post game of DPPT. Also I would’ve liked to see Darkrai and Cresselia’s lore and story fleshed out in this hypothetical DLC. It was cool that Darkrai was legitimately catchable in Arceus without being locked behind an event, but it also seemed rather random that he was in the Coronet Highlands, same with Cresselia. In platinum after you catch Darkrai there’s an unknown voice (Arceus’s voice perhaps?) That says Darkrai’s power is so strong that it purposely isolates itself on New Moon Island and that if anyone were to fall into it’s nightmare, Full Moon Island is close by. I could just imagine a quest in the game where the player goes to New Moon Island and they fall into a nightmare but don’t even realize it and you have to play through the characters really messed up dream until you finally encounter Darkrai and catch it. That would’ve been so cool. Also here’s a picture of a shiny Darkrai I caught in my Pokémon diamond recently that I caught through glitches and RNG manipulation.

Hello!! Thank you for the ask!!
I will avoid answering this question with the obvious submas fan answer cause I’ve said it before lol, but there were definitely other things I had wanted from another possible PLA DLC!!
The biggest thing I would have wanted was similar to yours; a new area to explore!! I loved PLA’s scenery, and would have loved another possible biome to find and see. Something I would have wanted with that was new Pokémon added to the dex for us to study. Like how SWSH’s DLCs added new pokemon to its dex. And maybe a couple new NPCs to meet and talk with too for a little self-contained DLC side story.
Another thing I would have loved would have been to see them add a quality of life update, where your pokemon could follow you around instead of just stay in one spot when you let them out of their pokeballs. Again, like SWSH’s isle of armor DLC.
And I often see DLC add new clothing options as well, so that would have been fun!!
And this one is the most vague of course, but man, more DLC would mean more possible story. More quests, more interacting with NPCs and more chances to see them and their personalities!! I will always want more of that from PLA :(
I really like your ideas too!! Would be really fun to get something like that, mirroring Platinum’s distortion world in a way. And WOW congrats on that shiny darkrai!! Love the shiny’s blue-tinted look.
Thanks for asking me this question and for sharing your own ideas OP, I love thinking about and hearing stuff like this!!

Oh I’m SUPER curious now. What would RB’s actual quotes be for the battle stuff that goes on in Legends Arceus? Things like their quotes for how they’d react to seeing an Alpha for the first time, getting hit by a wild Pokémon’s attack, fall damage, being spotted while sneaking up on a mon, low HP, battling a Noble Mon and stuff like that!
ooo you mean like if she had NPC stock dialogue type of quotes? 🤔hmm. honestly the lack of general dialogue options for the player character in PLA kind of makes this easier, but the way i took the story and developed it far beyond the simplified game plot makes it a bit harder lol. actually let me just lift a few bits from what i've drafted already!
her first time seeing an Alpha (or at least the first time she knows it's an Alpha) is actually when helping out Mai with the Kricketune. she's not paying attention to the explanation of Alphas so much as she's just staring at it like :/ "i don't mind bugs, i even like them, but this one is as tall as i am and i don't know how to feel about it"
getting hit by an attack is just a lot of cursing tbh. the first time a Zubat nips her she just starts praying that Poké-rabies doesn't exist please please please plea-- but honestly she starts giving back as good as she gets? she throws rocks at territorial Buizel that try hosing her from a distance, she dropkicks Paras before sprinting away, she gets very good ducking away from diving Staraptors and tossing one of her partners to nail them in the back. after months of being constantly annoyed by Drifloon pursuing her whenever she sets foot outside after sunset, she actually spins around and grabs one dogging her footsteps and literally POPS it with her bare hands! it's this kind of irritated pushback at local wildlife that earns her a dangerous reputation in Jubilife
her reactions to the Nobles vary wildly. battling Kleavor is mostly just. sad. this is an old creature being pushed to his limit by an outside force and she pities him despite the fact he's already managed to cut open her shoulder. Lilligant is more of a whirlwind she doesn't have time to think coherent thoughts about when she's just trying not to get hit, trying to breathe through the smoke, trying not to twist her ankle again, trying not to slip in the mud-- ouch being tackled by a plant ballerina SUCKS. dealing with Arcanine is... terrifying. RB isn't in there alone at least, she's got Iscan backing her up, but that's one more person to worry about and the active lava should be boiling them alive and it's raining so she can barely see through the steam and oh my god i'm going to die. Electrode is the worst one by far, being so fast and so dangerous and probably the most stressful event she's ever had to survive. with Avalugg by comparison she's almost willing to die, simply because the Noble is so huge that she feels like she's trying to fight a force of nature and honestly if she fails she's not going to blame herself for losing against a mountain.
sorry i don't have any specific dialogue, i've drafted 150k words worth of outline but haven't actually gotten to the prose part yet!
#brain's babbles#isekai oc#pokemon trainer oc#pokemon oc#pokemon#rb heather#legends arceus oc#legends arceus#tbh im using her as a conduit to flesh out and escape the limited trappings of a video game#so coming up with 'stock' dialogue for repeatable scenarios as if shes preprogrammed is kind of impossible for me

i'm really glad that i started with pokemon at the time and age that i did. there's a lot of reasons for this but i'm thinking about two in particular atm:
i was precocious with academics as a child and constantly felt bored by stuff that was considered to be for my age range. playing pokemon leafgreen for the first time on my 5th birthday required me to read dialogue/signs/etc, do some basic number processing, and use logical thinking to get to the end in ways that other games i had tried did not, and it gave me the freedom to do so at my own pace without having a cartoon character in annoying voice ask me if i can do XYZ like most edutainment games at the time lol
pokemon was easy to pick up in terms of controls, 99% of it is moving on a grid and navigating menus, which once their UI was learned, were incredibly easy to control. there is no need to have fast reaction time or the ability to do complex controller input. so long as i was willing to engage with the rpg mechanics i felt confident as a 5 year old with some motor skill issues with navigating the game
it's interesting to me because a lot of people don't like RPGs and even if they play pokemon, they may not like the RPG aspects of them, which is fine. but for me all of the RPG mechanics of pokemon slotted perfectly into my child brain that craved Brain Stimulation and only had a history of edutainment games prior. it really showed too because as i got older i did shit like discovering that IVs/EVs existed before they were ever so much as mentioned to me, of course i didn't have the name for them but just for fun i experimented with raising two of the same pokemon species to the same level after hatching them from eggs (level 20 or something) and noticed that despite being the same species and level, they had different stats, which must have meant pokemon were genetically different from each other. i found the math-y stuff genuinely interesting before i had any context for competitive etc later in life
additionally even now i sometimes struggle with more complex controls, like i love legends arceus but i think it took me longer to figure out navigating that game than most people and games that are more difficult or require more complex inputs or better reaction time tend to be really inaccessible for me. i'm very happy to just interact with a menu, i love turn based battles and the notion that they are objectively outdated when i find them genuinely engaging is so annoying
i started thinking about this because i tried to get my mom to play let's go eevee a while back since it's a pokemon game made for beginners basically, but i did not anticipate just how difficult she would find basic navigation using the controller - catching pokemon, the main part of the game, was incredibly frustrating for her, but she could do the battles alright. with pokemon moving in an open world, 3D direction, it requires you to get used to the controller if you don't want to be falling off stuff and running into pokemon constantly. and while SV isn't particularly hard to navigate or anything, and kids are getting into tech earlier and earlier than they ever were when i was little, i still really appreciate the simplicity of control when i was younger and i think it's interesting how much other people hate the relative slowness of RPGs and value freedom of movement and action a lot to the point of considering turn based gameplay really outdated while it's still my preferred way to play video games lol

INTRODUCTION POST! Should be easier than the video...

I'm the fearsome Doctor Taurus, ringmaster of many horrifying beasts!
🧀 And by that, we mean we use our food powers to disguise as big beasts to make people scared and do what we want!
Hey! This is why we keep having to do minimum wage restaurant work, we'd get booked for way more evil team work if you all could keep up our cover!
🧈 Hey now, that's oversimplifying. We also do great contest work! Me as the cool one, Milky Way as the clever one, Cream as the tough one and so on...
🥛 You know it, heheheeeh!!
WHATEVER! They can understand language and all, but don't think that translates into smarts. They're good chefs though, I'll give them that.
🍨 Hint hint! Give us money!! We'll make you some special stuff, with a custom recipe and fancy appearance cafe-style!
I'm a he/him man, and all my boys are boys too, 'xept when Butter puts on his Pheromosa costume and expresses as a girl. Got all that? Good! Grab some popcorn, preferably from me! We're based in Hoenn right now, and you're gonna have to pay the delivery fee!
🥛 Cream reminds you to disclose allergies.
🧀 Don't want any unnecessary injuries.
@swadloom back again with another funny blog time. This isn't technically a faller blog, but they are heavily inspired by the ginyu force from dbz! And they may go in my own oc directions and stuff over time but for now they're. Basically just the ginyu force one-to-one if they were chefs and pokemon lol
Your team boss muse can know him if you want him to, that would be fun! He's worked for Plasma, Rocket, Yell (in no real criminal ways), and Aether. And for now with this blog I don't mind new lore being improv'd onto him. :)
No nsfw, standard DNI unless it's like completely pointless queer discourse LOL my blogs are "incorrect" labels safe
Pelliper Mail and Magic Anons on! This is my only sentient Pokemon blog and I'm honestly willing to let things run wild here. Come ovah here arceus blogs they'll deliver to spear pillar if you pay the fee
Also this is a sentient Pokemon blog too, sorta! They're talking Pokemon in the same way as Meowth, but they live average somewhat cartoony Pokemon lives for the most part. He found them all like this in different scenarios, but his rare partner Pokemon Milky Way doesn't talk
Dr. Taurus is plain text!
🍨 Yogurt (Pseudo-Celebi) is green!
🥛 Cream (Pseudo-Buzzwole) is orange!
🧈 Butter (Pseudo-Pheromosa) is blue!
🧀 Cheese (Pseudo-Victini) is red!
