it's fascinating to me that every member of the party pre- and during loops treats siffrin with some flavour of alienation. like, bear with me. this post is going to sound like im here to give a hot take that the party are Bad Friends, Actually, but i promise you that's not what i mean. you're with me? okay. let's go.

isa idolises him (in the having a crush on someone type of way).

mira views them almost as a book character (the whole "the aura! the mystique!" conversation).

odile calls them a child to their face multiple times.

bonnie is... well, bonnie. kid is coping how they manage.

in the very beginning of the journey we have isa and mira, who, out of all five, are the most familiar to eachother. they're from the same country, they both actively follow the change religion, they both occupy (or occupied, in isa's case) well-respected positions in society, they're very close in age and i would assume socioeconomic statuses. they share a lot personality wise, too. they're both anxious about not being enough, about not changing enough, they're both open and emotional and affectionate, they even both like romance novels! they are very in eachother's comfort zones. they are very understandable to eachother.

then there's odile. she is as different as it gets – she's ka buan (and well half vaugardian but nobody knows that), she's old, she has different religios beliefs and different history with body craft, she's confident, self-secure, reserved, sarcastic and at times cold and makes it very apparent that she's not into openly displayed affection. but also, she is actively choosing to be seen this way. she is comfortable with being perceived like this.

and then, there's siffrin. a mysterious traveler with mysterious past that doesn't like to be touched and never talks about his feelings. where are they from? what he believes? what did he do prior? why did they join them? noone knows. situation kinda similar to odile's, but kicker is, we know siffrin does not want to be seen this way.

mira, being a somewhat sheltered not very experienced young adult (she's from dormont with population less than a regular highschool class, and has been living in the house for some past years) with more familiarity with books than with real world obviously views them more as a cool character than a person. and i can't blame her! siffrin doesn't help her view them any differently either.

isa i assume catches feeling almost immideately (the whole journey takes less than a year, sif is second to last to join and we know that isa's crush has been going for months) and it's universally hard to not idolise and idealise the person you're having a crush on, so even tho isa is more experienced than mira, i imagine he fails to see siffrin as a whole person too.

odile out of all of them grinds my own personal gears the most. i love you, old wise lady, but oh god. the amount of times she refers to the party and in particular siffrin as kids or children is sure something. and the thing with kids is that you generally don't view them as equals, so, no "seeing siffrin as a person that he is" there either.

that's general dynamics. now to what interactions we actually see in game:

odile mocks siffrin for being forgetful. every time siffrin forgets a word, everyone reacts as if they don't remember that vaugardian isn't siffrin's native language. both isa and mira behave patronisingly towards them (jokingly, but still). the whole party spends some time comparing siffrin to a wild animal in the dictionary conversation, mira saying "what a perfect analogy" with stars in her eyes. one time siffrin desides to open up and tell them about stars, they mock him. when he kills that sadness more violently than usual, they all look at him as if he murdered a baby (i still don't really get why btw. they've been fighting side to side for months). the whole ghost event. ohhh ghost event my beloved.

all of these, for me, point to a very deep yet unacknowledged disconnect between siffrin and the rest of the party. the not-understanding. the unfamiliarity. the alienation. siffrin is other even in their own little ragtag bunch of misfits.

now AM I SAYING that means that the party is bad actually?? no!!! for every interaction i named there's multiple others with them being supportive and warm to sif. also, siffrin, famously, is very bad at telling when something bothers them, so noone whould even know if they were doing anything that upset him. and, on top of everything else, i think it's very natural for a party of very different people traveling in a lot of hurry and discomfort and plain mortal danger for months to develop a bond where "i would die for you, my siblings in arms, but i also will poke fun at your religion when it starts to sound too impossible for my worldview. what do you mean stars are there in the daytime too? don't be silly". i actually really appreciate their friendships being imperfect, because it's so much more interesting and thought provoking this way. like, I've been thinking about this for weeks.

and also, this specific type of imperfection plays into the core themes of siffrin's character. to be welcomed, adored, loved, even, but not understood. not recognised. not known. and to not even try to explain untill the world is literally ending.

Following on from previous Leon Eras, how do you think all the different Leon Eras would react to a best friend or S/O that's been there when he's seen Ada and knows how he feels about her, so they're always feeling a little bit inadequate? Like there's always that little voice in the back of their mind telling them that they're not good enough for Leon and that they'll never be as good as her? Especially for the best friend who's secretly in love with him, they probably never said anything earlier because of their insecurities, I imagine that RE4R Leon would almost pretend not to see it because he's torn between how he feels but DI Leon would be the kind to keep you locked in a cuddle until you feel a little bit better about yourself

If you mention it he would probably be upset because she is a large part of her life but he would get over it I'm sure

It's not until you explain it to him that he understands it sounds like he's still hung up on her

So he would make an effort to show you that's not the case, whenever that's literally saying it during sex

Long story short. Reverse isekai. Teyvet transporting to our world. Teyvat inhabitants being giants compared to earth humans. SIZE. DIFFERENCE.

So, Streamer!MC is a streamer who mostly streams Genshin Impact, but then this post happens, and bam! Suddenly Genshin Impact isn't a game anymore. The nations of Teyvat have suddenly appeared in the real world, and that meant the characters she spent blood, sweat, tears, and so much money on were most likely VERY real. The story she once played through actually happened.

It was an uncomfortable realization.

And don't even get her started on the fact of the sheer size difference regular humans and Teyvatians have... It's terrifying...

Streamer!MC immediately stops playing Genshin Impact after that, even posting a video explaining why. It wasn't right. This game wasn't a game anymore. This 'game' was pushing boundaries to a point where it could be considered creepy and revealing things the characters of Genshin impact would've most likely preferred kept secret.

So, no more Genshin Impact on her channel.

But on the Teyvetians side of things, I imagine them modernizing a little. Imagine each nation having the power of the internet and maybe a character stumbles across Streamer!MC and watches some of her Genshin content...

You can't tell me he isn't irritated, if not enraged with having his cover blown by the earthlings and his retirement plan ruined.

But even so, Cloud Retainer was the one that told him about this... Internet thing, one day when they met up for tea.

Even going as far as to show him an odd contraption that she recreated from some earthling technology called a laptop.

Looks as useless and annoying as those little earthling devices called 'phones' that recently started popping up in all the nations...

She ends up giving him his own little contraption, and later that night, he let curiosity take over and messed around with it and stumbled across something called twitch, and a... Streamer? What in Celestia's name is that?

But then he sees the title 'My first experience with Genshin Impact!', and he knew what Genshin Impact was. Everyone in Teyvat knew. And most hated it or found it interesting.

Zhongli disliked it on principle as it blew his cover, but he was curious...

The earthling girl spoke a lot during the whole, uh, playthrough? He still didn't have much knowledge on this subject yet, but he watches the whole thing... the earthling had a nice voice...

He oddly felt annoyed as he heard her gush about how pretty Mondstadt was... she should see his nation; it was much more beautiful than that drunk bard's nation.

He ended up watching the next stream after the Mondstadt arc concluded and Liyue was introduced. And the utter smugness he felt he heard her amazement over how lovely his nation was, nearly threw him for a loop.

He can't help but wonder how she'd react is she saw Liyue for real.

And when he saw her reaction to seeing him for the first time in game? Oh, it was honestly precious. She wiggled around in her chair, giggling in an almost shy way as she listened to him talk in game. There even a blush on her cheeks!

After that, Zhongli ended up going through all of Streamer!MC's content. Which meant all of her Genshin content.

With each stream he learned more about her. little things, big things, Streamer!MC was an open book.

Don't even get him started when he saw you pull for him for the first time! Even though you were grumbling about money you kept pulling until you got him AND his weapon.

It was honestly somewhat ego boosting how she always had him on her team despite some of the more difficult matchups. And practically spoiling his game self with the best artifacts as well!

It... it was odd. Seeing someone he had not even met caring so much about him. In her eyes, he wasn't supposed to be real, but even then...

...He didn't dislike it.

But then he finally got to her last post. This one apparently posted sometime around when Teyvat landed on earth. The one where Streamer!MC explains that she would NOT be posting anymore Genshin Impact content because of Teyvat's unexpected arrival.

"It's not a game anymore! The characters of Genshin are real people! I'm not playing something that the 'characters' had no say in!"

The MC huffs in annoyance. "How would you guys feel if all your secrets were revealed in a video game, huh?"

And it goes on with another more recent post. Streamer!MC says she was retiring from Twitch to focus more on schooling.

Retiring? But... But that meant you wouldn't stream anymore, right? That he wouldn't be able to hear you voice anymore... right?

Zhongli. Did. Not. Like. That.

Suddenly, it hits him. He remembers hearing about... issues, the earthlings had recently. Issues dealing with kidnappings. He knew it was from traffickers, mostly treasure hoarders and the bored Fatui or two looking for some quick mora, but...

Hm... Maybe he should have a chat with Childe... That rascal was in Liyue at the moment and had been demanding him for a spar... Maybe Zhongli could offer him a contract? The Harbinger gets a fight, but only if he'll fetch him something... special.

In the birdcage, there was the softest of pillows and blankets, the most comfortable bed, a soft flooring that felt like she was walking on clouds... and oddly enough, Zhongli plushies of all sizes, all in his Exuvia form, tucked all around the birdcage.

There were also books, but most you've never heard of, and the ones you have... were ones you only heard about or saw only a few paragraphs while playing Genshin Impact.

Now feeling absolutely terrified, she stumbles over to the edge of the cave, grabbing at the bars and peeking outside. Outside lining the birdcage was flowers... flowers that looked like eerily like Glaze Lilies. A flower that couldn't be anywhere but in- Oh. Oh...

She finally notices her surroundings. The landscape before her looked exactly like a domain from Genshin Impact, particularly, the Domain of the Wayward Path, but so much bigger. But that couldn't be right. Why was she here?! How?!

"Oh. You're finally awake, little one."

Streamer!MC freezes at the voice. She knew that voice. Knew it very well. Slowly, she looks up... and sees a massive Zhongli staring into her birdcage, smiling that calm and mysterious smile she remembers from the game.

Extra notes.

Zhongli keeps Streamer!MC hidden inside his own Adepti Abode.

Only the Adepti know about Streamer!MC. So even if she somehow escaped, an Adepti would quickly find her and bring her back to their lord.

But it isn't like she could get far with her tiny size.

Streamer!MC's birdcage is made of Cor Lapis.

Cloud Retainer was the one that managed to shrink everything in Streamer!MC's birdcage down to the earthling's size with one of her inventions. The bed, pillows, blankets, books, plushies, etc.

She also did Streamer!MC's clothes. As for how she got it on Streamer!MC, however... Let's say Adepti magic is very versatile.

The large amount of Exuvia plushies in Streamer!MC's cage was because Zhongli remembered a stream where she proudly showed off a plush of his Exuvia form she bought for herself, and recalled how she said she wished she could buy MORE.

Well, he was the God of Mora, so it wasn't hard to commission some special one of kind 'Rex Lapis' plush toys.

Zhongli doesn't refer to Streamer!MC as a pet. He actually gets very angry when Childe called her that after giving her to Zhongli as per their contract requested.

The 11th Harbinger gets the fight he wanted but it only lasts a few seconds before Zhongli yeets him into the harbor in a one hit KO.

After some time passes and Streamer!MC stops fighting back, Zhongli starts taking her out of her birdcage, holding her and carrying her around like a delicate gem.

He bonds with her by gifting her various gifts (Which Cloud Retainer than shrinks down). And always talks to her daily, as he recalls from her streams of how she loved his voice. So, he uses it to his advantage, slowly breaking down her fearful shell with soft words and more.

Also slowly teaches her to rely only on him. As all he wants is best for her. Especially since the world was quickly becoming a dangerous place with the more... vile, Teyvatians snatching earthlings up to trafficked as pets or worse.

But Streamer!MC wasn't a pet. No. She was something so, so much better...

"宝贝 (Bǎobèi), you shine as bright as a Cor Lapis but you are also as delicate as a Glaze Lily, if not more."

Streamer!MC lays curled up in the Ex-Archon's hands, looking oh so very tiny and fragile, and stares up at him with sleepy, but trusting eyes as Zhongli ran a finger down her back, slowly beckoning her back to sleep...

The fact that Bitterbat used to bite her when they were younger until Sweetheart drew blood makes me wonder has he ever went a bit too far and hurt Sweetheart on accident? Like what happened the first time he did that and how devastated does he get when he learns that humans (and sometimes magical girls) are way more fragile than he thought they were? Like imagine younger Sweetheart gets distracted for one moment and Bitterbrat just decides to bite her and she freaks out a little bc her arm is full out bleeding and she can't make it stop (bc being a magical girl or not, she was still a kid and seeing that amount of blood freaks people out. Ignoring the fact that it might hurt af yk?)

Just wondering since he fell for Sweetheart by punching him against the wall and because she was strong, but what happened when he found out that even magical girls have weak moments?

It's totally fine to ask ramble questions about Licorice - i love blabbering about Sweetheart and Bitterbat because they have a lot of meat to them SO I WELCOME ALL QUESTIONS ABOUT THEM.

ANYWAYS It took Bitterbat a bit to learn about humans and how they socialize with each other. He knew that humans were fragile but he thought Amara was an outlier since she could use magic.

So he had taken to nibbling Sweetheart here and there just as a sign of affection, though in her eyes he was being weird as hell. Occasionally his teeth hurt but a couple baps on the head made him back off. It also helped that, being a magical girl, her skin was more durable than when she was powered down.

One day he was feeling extra bold, and while hugging Amara from behind, bit her right on the back of the neck, expecting humans and Monstrums to share similar enough anatomy where they had a scruff. He did it because he wanted her attention but instead got the loudest yelp he'd ever heard out of her. He didn't have much time to react either because Amara had entered a complete state of panic and was crying for him to get off her as she struggled to get out of his arms.

He saw a lot of blood and her tears and immediately realized he made a mistake so he quickly let her go and tried to explain himself.

It's important to remember this happened when they were kids. I'm talking 10 years old so they both didn't make the best decisions. And Amara, out of a mix of instinct and fear, struck him across the face, cutting his explanation short. The mix of him being completely caught off guard and the strike being full force meant Bitterbat was sent to the ground. By the time he processed what had happened, Amara was already running away crying to Lovely for help.

He felt so bad once Halite explained humans don't have a scruff like Monstrums do. And once he learned just how vulnerable a human's neck was, along with how thin a human's skin was compared to a Monstrum's, Bitterbat was guilt-ridden and couldn't bring himself to face Sweetheart ever again.

On Amara's end, Bitterbat thankfully didn't do a whole ton of damage like she expected and she just needed some disinfectant and big af band-aid and she was basically good as new save for a scar. Bitterbat had been missing in action for a couple weeks though, which meant she had just been battling Vents without any follow up challenge.

Eventually Bitterbat returned to apologize and Amara came around to forgiving him after learning he genuinely didn't mean any harm and it was just a matter of different cultures and anatomy. It did take some time for Amara to become comfortable again with receiving hugs from behind from Bitterbat.

Honestly it took her awhile to be comfortable with having her back to Bitterbat in general. But eventually she got over her discomfort.

In the modern day, Bitterbat nibbles and bites everywhere else but when it comes to the back of Amara's neck, he just leaves kisses. I know ages ago I had mentioned he nips back there too for attention but the more I thought about how events in childhood stays with a person as they grow up, I retconned it since I imagine Amara is still nervous when it comes to his teeth back there.

Dio becomes obsessive, rationalizing that if you make him feel this way, you must be meant to belong to him.

DIO

At first, he embraces it. He’s always been indulgent, so why should love be any different?

Wamuu

Wamuu is not accustomed to desire like this. It’s… consuming.

He finds himself distracted in training, getting hit because he was too lost in thoughts of you.

Doesn’t sleep properly because he stays awake thinking about how soft you look when you smile.

At first, he keeps his distance, thinking it’s dishonorable to let emotions cloud his judgment.

If he ever sees you hurt, even slightly? He loses control, nearly killing the one responsible.

Esidisi

Esidisi cries. A lot. Not in sadness, but because his body can’t handle this level of emotional turmoil.

“Why- why do I feel this way? It’s burning inside me!”

He literally feels hot when he thinks about you, like his body is overheating from love.

Random bursts of emotion. One second he’s quiet, the next he’s gripping his chest, groaning in frustration.

Tries to distract himself with combat, but even mid-fight, he ends up shouting your name instead of his opponent’s.

Yoshikage Kira

Kira is utterly miserable. He just wanted a quiet, normal life- but now…he’s obsessed with you.

Can’t focus at work. He just signs documents mindlessly, thinking about how you look when you laugh.

Steals little things of yours- a pen, a napkin you used, anything-just to feel close to you.

Loses sleep because every time he closes his eyes, his mind conjures images of you.

He hates it. He feels exposed, vulnerable.

Poor Doppio is a wreck. His hands tremble whenever you’re nearby.

He forgets to answer Diavolo’s calls because he’s too lost in thoughts of you.

If you so much as smile at him? He smiles but nearly faints.

Talks to himself about you. “She probably doesn’t even notice me… but… what if she does?”

The moment Diavolo realizes what’s happening, he seizes control.

Diavolo

Diavolo is pissed that something as inefficient as love is affecting him this much.

He goes days without sleep because every time he closes his eyes, he sees you.

Lashes out at his subordinates for no reason, just because he’s so frustrated with himself.

Legit erases time whenever he starts thinking about you too much, as if that will stop it.

Pucci prays constantly, begging for salvation from these thoughts.

I'm a bit curious was it ever confirmed that Shaun and Ian interacted with one another or met before the eventual breakup between Ian and MC. If not what are some of your headcanons on this matter would they have gotten along at all?

Actually, yes, it has been confirmed that Shaun and Ian knew each other before Ian and MC broke up in this comic posted over on the official Sunny Day Jack twitter!

While a lot of teaser/development art should be taken with a grain of salt, if it appears on one of the official pages, it's a pretty safe bet that it's canon to the timeline of the game.

So this comic, also drawn by the awesome Sauce, while hilarious, may or may not be canon.

I think it's a pretty safe bet to say that Ian did not pass Shaun's vibe check.

The first comic certainly makes it clear that Shaun didn't find Ian attractive considering the way he reacted. Maybe it's due to jealousy (I don't think Shaun wants to think about his crush having sex with someone else) or maybe it's because of Ian's bad taste in anime. Who can say?

I suspect that these two just didn't get along. Between Shaun suffering from jealousy due to his crush and the two of them having different tastes, they were probably only friendly to one another for MC's sake.

I would imagine that Shaun's opinion on Ian took an extreme nosedive when they found out Ian cheated on MC.

Man... can you imagine how much pain Shaun has been through? He had to watch his best friend/crush be happy with someone else... then get devastated by being cheated on. The worst part was if he had bad vibes from Ian from the start, but he ignored his gut feelings for MC's sake.

When it comes to my personal headcanons that I use for Sunshine in Hell... Shaun and Ian had friction since the first day Alice introduced the two of them.

It wasn't just Shaun being jealous of Ian either. Ian was jealous of Shaun too!

Ian has always suffered from a low sense of self-esteem. Shaun, by comparison, is much more well put together, more outgoing, and has this natural charisma that draws people to him. Shaun is just so likable that he gets a lot of attention and friends. For years, Ian was the exact opposite of that, which led to him being bullied and degraded often.

So one day Alice, his childhood friend and partner, is super excited to introduce Ian to her new friend. Shaun and Alice have a lot in common, and it was very visible in the early years of college when Alice was in the middle of her pastel goth phase. Shaun and Alice had a love for horror movies, cats, the goth aesthetic, and a whole bunch of other things. They clicked so quickly, and it scared Ian a little.

It didn't help that Alice had trouble making friends like Ian did. They had that in common, something that gave them a sort of understanding that no one else could intrude on. Now that they were in college they started making more friends, and that was a good thing, really! But Alice clicked with Shaun about as fast as she did with Ian.

In the 1st grade, one day Alice mustered up the courage to talk to Ian in order to cheer him up. After that they started talking every day and they were besties ever since. From there, they started dating. She's never really clicked with anyone else so fast like she did with Ian...

Until Shaun, that is.

Ian kept comparing himself to Shaun, unfavorably. He kept worrying about Alice falling for Shaun instead since, well, clearly Shaun had so much more than Ian had to offer. Why wouldn't she? What didn't help his insecurities was the fact that they had been a couple since high school, but they still hadn't had sex yet.

I integrated the comic into part of Alice and Ian's troubled sex life. The depicted instance was Ian's attempt at making things romantic so that they could finally go all the way.

It took them a while to start being sexually intimate due to their mutual lack of practical knowledge and Alice's SA trauma. She was very cuddly with Ian, not afraid to kiss him or go into a make out session, but she struggled to go further than that for a long time. It left Ian struggling with insecurities, fearing that he wasn't attractive to her despite her constantly reassuring him that wasn't the case.

Really, it was that insecurity and self-blame that pushed Alice to go further than she was ready for, to pretty painful results that she learned to just accept as part of the experience.

Alice is the type of person who can't be comfortable with people touching her unless she trusts them. However, when she gets close to someone, she can get pretty cuddly, even with her friends, giving them hugs often. So, for Ian, seeing his girlfriend get comfortable hugging another guy... someone he might have noticed looking at her a certain way...

Well, getting cockblocked on his rocky road to losing his virginity didn't help Ian see Shaun in a more favorable light.

Really, this was an incident that pushed Ian to be a bit more possessive of Alice. He was already struggling with the fact that his partner was sharing a dorm with someone else, but for Shaun to just casually walk into her bedroom like that without knocking? Ian certainly had permission to come in there without Alice knowing since he's her boyfriend, and he was planning to surprise her with a romantic evening, but how long had Shaun been just letting himself into her private space so casually?

Ian didn't believe that Alice was cheating on him, but what if Shaun decided to take advantage of her? What if this casual blurring of their living space led to feelings blooming?

What if Alice realized that Shaun was so much better than Ian in every way?

This led to Ian asking Alice to move into an apartment with him, even if it cost them money. He was able to feel more secure when they were living together, and he could be the one going into her bedroom at any hour of the day to be with her instead of someone else.

Shaun did try to befriend Ian, but it seemed like every time they hung out, something would rub him the wrong way. He did his best to be happy for Alice and Ian in their relationship, but it wasn't just Ian's shit taste in anime that struck Shaun as a red flag.

It didn't take Shaun long to notice a pattern in Ian and Alice's relationship. Ian would be down on himself, even cry and apologize for being inadequate, and Alice would reassure him. It seemed like every day, he saw this happen at least once. He tried reassuring Ian as well when he could, but after a while it gets tiring to try and lift someone up who keeps dragging himself down. Shaun would suggest Ian try therapy, and Ian would insist it wouldn't work, he was hopeless, and it wasn't worth wasting money on.

It was only when Alice showered Ian with love, and when their mutual friends bent backwards to cheer him up, that Ian would perk up again.

Shaun saw the red flags going up, how Ian was so needy for Alice and it was wearing on her. She went out of her way for Ian all the time, doing so much more because Ian "needed" her.

What made it worse was that Shaun saw how unbalanced their relationship was, how Alice gave Ian so much more than Ian gave back. Because Ian was so clingy, Alice had to often cancel meet ups with friends at the last minute, citing that he was having a bad day and needed her. Yet, on days when Alice was feeling like shit, she just kept powering through, pretending nothing was wrong. It took Shaun a lot of effort to pry her into leaning on him, and he'd even go out of his way to do stuff for her without her asking, like buying her lunch when she was so overworked she forgot to bring any.

Shaun worried for Alice because she was his friend, and she didn't deserve this sort of treatment. It was like she had become Ian's emotional crutch. Regardless of his attraction towards her, regardless if they could ever get together, he wanted her to be happy.

Shaun's opinion of Ian slowly deteriorated over time, but it turned into downright hate when Ian cheated on Alice, especially after she almost died because of it.

It was just a normal night when Shaun got a phone call from Ian. It was about Alice of course. It was the only reason Ian ever called Shaun - to check up on Alice. That night was different because Ian was in a panic. Alice wasn't picking up for him, which was unusual enough, but Ian was insistent that Shaun needed to check on her to make sure she was okay.

It was lucky that Shaun had the spare key to the apartment Alice and Ian shared. The sight of her lying unconscious in a pool of blood in the bathroom is a scar that'll forever be etched in his memory.

Shaun spent an entire night terrified, wondering what had happened. Did Alice try to kill herself? Why? She might have been missing Ian after he moved across the country, but she always reached out to Shaun and others when she wanted company. What happened that night? When he mentioned Alice's state to Ian, he just wailed that it was all his fault and Shaun couldn't reach Ian after that, as Ian was busy trying to book a flight back home to see her at the hospital.

Shaun had to be the one to call Alice's family too, but he had no answers to give them. The doctors would only let family or her legal partner see her for a while. It was only the next day that he learned that it was all because Ian had cheated on Alice, and she drank to dull the pain, only to hurt herself under the influence of alcohol poisoning.

Shaun could've kicked himself. He saw the problems in their relationship, but he didn't think it was his place to say anything. He worried his jealousy was coloring his perspective, seeing things too negatively. Now he wished he pushed harder like his gut told him, got Alice to see that the relationship was no good for her.

When Alice forgave Ian and tried to make it work, Shaun couldn't just sit back and let it happen.

So, yeah, Shaun's opinion of Ian in the present day is very negative. He views Ian as a toxic, manipulative, cheating scumbag who didn't deserve Alice. It was a relief when he managed to help Alice see that too so that she could finally end that toxic relationship. He was there for her so many nights when she cried over Ian and missed him. He saw the pain Ian put Alice through, and it just made his hatred of Ian grow.

Ian is grateful for Shaun being there to help Alice and even getting her to the hospital, but that doesn't get rid of his jealousy. Shaun and Alice are still talking even though she never picks up the phone for Ian anymore. He sees their exchanges online. They're still close. Shaun could one day sweep in and...

Ian can't let that happen. He can't let Shaun steal away the person who means so much to him. He can't let Alice just let him go like this. He just has to apologize to Alice, keep apologizing, and everything will be fine.

Sooooo... yeah, suffice to say, Ian and Shaun do not get along, and I doubt that they ever will... at least in my headcanons.

Ooh this would be a better question for @alittleflashvibe (who can absolutely feel free to hop in with reblogs or comments or whatever, really 👀) but I will take a crack at it myself:

So first of all, let me preface by saying, none of this is going to be me going “see?? No platonic explanation!!” because that’s a) canonically false and b) nonsense. Barrisco, for all that I do ship them, is canonically a friendship, and I value that highly. You can absolutely choose to interpret this all as solely platonic, and that’s totally fine! Their relationship is strong either way, and it’s not “better” or “worse” from either perspective. So just keep that in mind.

Second of all, I’ll assume you’re someone who’s open to shipping Barry with guys (otherwise this discussion is sorta pointless 😅).

Third of all, this will include comparisons to Westallen because...duh, they're canonically romantic, and I need a point of comparison. I love both ships, mind you, this is simply for academic purposes.

Look at how alike the scenes are. Barry's heart eyes in those scenes...IMMACULATE! He doesn't give those heart eyes to anyone else

Bonus: notice Cisco’s reactions when we do see them. Earnestly hanging on Barry’s words…and Barry’s encouragement gets him to smile 🥰 just like Iris whenever Barry encourages her (see: the s4 scene when he encourages her as Team Leader and she smiles sincerely through her tears)!

Physical Touch:

Physical touch is canonically the way Barry shows his affection/love (“we all know touch is your love language” is a canon line of dialogue). He does it with Joe, Henry, Iris…and a lot with Cisco, who constantly touches/hugs Barry too:

Oh and uh...remember when I said we'd get back to talking about Cisco doing something risky to save his life? Let's talk about that for a second.

Let's talk about how Iris and Cisco react to losing/the prospect of losing Barry post-s3/s4 and s6:

Post-s3:

Iris: Quits her job, becomes Team Leader in Barry's absence so she can use her skills to help out, wanting to honor Barry's words ("keep growing, keep loving, keep running, for me") and knowing Cisco can't lead the Team alone because he's strung out. Argues with Cisco about getting Barry back, because she is understandably worried that it'll make things worse, cost them someone else...and/or Barry will either already be dead, or will die as a result of their actions (i.e. she fears losing Barry all over again)

Cisco: Hyperfocuses on saving Barry ("quits his job", so to speak, because he's not being Team Leader as Barry intended), uses his skills to help out by building a Quark sphere to save Barry, goes forward with his plan despite Iris's misgivings so he can honor Barry's words ("he also said that everyone would look to me after he was gone. So look to me."). In the aftermath, modifies the suit extensively because he fears losing Barry all over again)

s6:

Iris: Is distraught and horrified at how easily Barry accepts his death, tries to talk him out of it. She takes up the charge of recruiting Ryan Choi, Paragon of Humanity, empathizes with him about his fear, draws on their similarities to convince him.

(She does not pull risky manuevers here, since it's E90 Barry who saves our Barry, but she did back in s3, when she shot Savitar, a speedster and her almost-killer (and also a future version of Barry), to save Barry's life)

Cisco: Makes a risky call to try and save Barry's life, defends himself fiercely when Barry gets upset about it, is distraught and horrified at how easily Barry accepts his death

it's relief in Barry's eyes there, and worry. Barry was mad at Cisco earlier in the episode, but...in this moment, none of that matters. Cisco's doing something risky to save his life (as he canonically does often) and Barry's relieved but also terrified it might go sour. And...well, you saw from one of the gifs earlier how enthusiastic he was once this rescue succeeded - he beamed up at him, all "you've always been my hero" (canon quote) and took his hand to be helped up, just like in a fairytale.

I've been wanting to talk about this for awhile, but Ridley O'Bannon, specifically in the episode Impact (S2, Ep9) really BOTHERS me! 

Her decision to stay aboard the Global One is, in a word, selfish. I know she compares it to Thunderbird 5 in order to convince John, and she sees it as a home and it's important to her and I get that, but she created unnecessary risk that could have cost her life and John's. She could have ejected with the rest of her crew (which means it would have been acceptable even if the asteroid hit Global One as the Thunderbirds' focus is on human life), but she chose not to. Even if she'd been ordered to stay to protect the station or try to move it out of the way to save the financial investment it represented (and we have no evidence that she was), she was also making a personal decision, evidenced by her personal reasoning to convince John. SHE wanted to save Global One and she leveraged John to do it.

When she first brings it up, he refuses outright, because that's not what the Thunderbirds do. They save PEOPLE, not things. And she says the line that frustrates me: "I'm people. Save me." 

I can't see that as anything less than manipulation. She could be safe. This could be a non-issue, but she chooses to endanger herself to save her home and she chooses to endanger John by putting him in the path of the collision. Things get worse (of course) when Ridley needs to fire the station's jets and she and John have to travel the length of Global One while dodging debris, but all of this is unnecessary. Travelling through the vacuum of space, while debris rains down on them and any move could be fatal, all for a piece of equipment that was simply not necessary. His life and hers in peril for nothing. 

I understand Global One is important to Ridley, but her life and John's should have weighed more. I can't see her line as anything else than a manipulation of his values. She knew he wouldn't leave her because that's what HE does. He saves people. But this person didn't need to be saved, until she put herself in danger on purpose. And that just frustrates me a lot.

There's also the side note of Virgil and Alan, currently having issues with detonating the asteroid, and while it's not guaranteed (and they figured it out on their own), they might have benefitted from Thunderbird 5's sensor information. John could have been helpful to them and they might have been able to succeed more easily. I know the situation has to ramp up for the episode to maintain tension, but as an event that happened, Thunderbird 5 could have been better utilized supporting John's brothers rather than as a tow for a space station.

John watched the asteroid hurtle towards Earth with tiny Thunderbird 3 clinging to it and I can't help but imagine how John would have reacted if Thunderbird 3 didn't make it and he a) had to watch it from Global One and b) felt he could have done something to help from Thunderbird 5. Maybe EOS could have monitored any needed data and gotten it to 3 in time, but I still think about it.

Ridley manipulated John's core values for selfish gain in that episode, and that just really BOTHERS me.

I don't even dislike her otherwise, but that one action really negatively affects how I see her.

(Bada Lee x Reader)

Summary: After celebrating Bebe’s win, Bada bumped into someone she wasn’t expecting to meet again.

"BEBE LET'S GO!" Bada said as her members cheered loudly. Tears still present Bada's eye as she holds the trophy high.

"We did it!" Lusher, their sub-leader said as she sobbed. Other members approached her and hugged her.

"Congratulations to us! Make sure to eat delicious food with your family, okay?" Bada reminded which was followed by her members response.

"Got it!" Her members responded, making her chuckle. There was a knock on the door making the celebration stop for a moment.

"Flowers for Bada?" The team looked at the door curiously but cheered loudly when they realized it was their leader's partner, Howl.

"Unnie, you are so lucky!" Bada chuckled at Tatter's response as she accepted the flowers from Howl.

"You don't have to do this..." Bada muttered but enough for Howl to hear it.

"I can't buy something for my girlfriend? Come on now, these flowers are less valuable compared to the date we will do later." Howl stated.

"You go now unnie! We can handle the mess here." Tatter said, winking at her leader. Bada has no time to react because of her members pushing her and Howl at the door, slamming it close. The couple looked at each other and chuckled.

"Your teammates are a huge shipper." Howl stated at both him and Bada went towards the exit.

"Yeah...they keep showing me edits...of us..." Bada said.

"Is that so? By the way, your mom texted me earlier. She asked how our relationship is going." Bada sighed upon hearing what Howl said.

"Just tell her the usual. I don't want her invading yours or mine's privacy." Howl nodded and grabbed his phone, replying to Bada's mother.

Both of them went inside the car with Howl driving and Bada in the passenger seat. Howl drove at the Han River and parked their car near the location.

"Han River? Really?" Bada asked, chuckling at Howl's choice.

"What? It's a popular destination for couples." Howl answered. Howl was about to open the door but noticed that Bada was freezing from low temperature because she didn't get the chance to get her coat.

"Want me to buy you a coat? You're shivering." Bada just nodded, blowing her hands.

"I'll be right back." Howl stated as he went out of the car, jogging towards the nearest shop he could find.

While waiting for Howl, Bada is leaning her head towards the window, looking at the people passing by the river until her eyes landed on a family laughing together.

How could she not recognize that smile? That hair? That clothing? It's the girl she once considered as hers, she's now with someone else... with her own family.

Bada watched the family as they went past the car, she could hear the muffled laugh as they passed the passenger window. Bada opened the car door and called the name she thought she had forgotten already.

"Y/n!" Y/n turned around confused on who called her but her confusion turned into a surprise one once she realized who called her name.

"Honey, you know her?" Y/n nodded still staring at her ex-lover. Y/n turned to her husband with a smile.

"Can you give us a minute to talk? You know, catch up?" Y/n's husband nodded and brought their 2 year-old son with him.

"Hey...I heard you win that competition, street woman fighter right?" Y/n said as she approached Bada's figure.

"Yeah, thank you..." There's a silence between both of them but both of them are reminiscing about the moments they used to spend together. In fact, Han River is their on-the-go date place in the past.

"You have a husband now, is he treating you well?" Bada asked and Y/n nod with a smile.

"He is." Y/n replied.

"Better than me?" Bada asked again.

"No one can replace you, you know that." Y/n chuckled bitterly making Bada do the same also.

"I'm sorry...I failed to do our promise." Bada apologized as she remembers the promise her and Y/n made with each other.

"No matter the circumstances, we will choose to stay with each other."

"Bada, we are old enough to know that not all promises are true. No matter how much we deny it, we found the right one because we broke up." Both of them are already teary eyed at the moment.

"I built you for Howl and you built me for my husband. We build each other for someone else." Y/n approached Bada and cupped her cheeks.

"We're just each other's shelters, not each other's home." Bada finally let out a sob, caressing Y/n's hand.

"I thought I already forgot what happened 3 years ago. I never thought I needed this closure." Bada chuckled painfully.

"Thank you for letting me go." Bada smiled, Y/n nodded with her tears already falling.

"Thank you also." Y/n muttered, stepping back.

"I need to go, my family is waiting for me." Y/n stated as Bada nodded in understanding.

"I understand. Go now...they're waiting." Y/n smiled and walked away.

Bada is inside the car still sniffing. Howl finally arrived and went inside the car with a black coat in his hand.

"I finally found one— hey what's wrong?" Howl asked as he caressed Bada's hair.

"N-No, I'm fine." Bada replied, wiping her cheeks. Howl didn't press it any further but kept on caressing her hair.

"Just tell me if it gets too hard to handle, yeah?" Howl replied.

Bada watched Y/n's family go inside a convenience store and secretly smiled at the scene, realizing that Y/n is finally in good hands.

Meanwhile in the convenience store, Y/n saw Bada and Howl inside a car. Howl is caressing her hair as Bada lets out her emotions. Y/n smiled, realizing that Bada is in good hands.

"You're finally being taken care of, that's what matters." Both Y/n and Bada thought inside their head.

Deltarune's themes of escapism and why they hit me hard

I was going to do some Deltarune art based around this and then just have the definition of escapism under it, but I can't think of what to draw, so I'm just going to ramble about it instead.

Deltarune, as I'm sure many many other people have pointed out before, has strong themes of escapism in addition to its themes of control, freedom, the narrative, etc. The Dark Worlds transform objects into people, rooms into environments, high school students into heroes. They seem to bring to life the sorts of games you played as a kid, with your toys and your friends, making up a story that played out in your mind, enhanced by your imagination. It's theatre of the mind, helped along by the toys and props and whatnot - like when you're playing D&D, too. This sort of thing is mainly in Chapter One, with the game pieces and cards and toys. I remember playing make-believe with practically everything as a kid - I made up stories with chess pieces a few times, that was fun. Castle Town and Card Kingdom are both reminiscent of a very traditional form of escapism: fantasy.

The Cyber World is a little different, but it still holds the same sort of idea - hell, we're all here on Tumblr, we know what it's like to bury ourselves in the internet, in videos and memes and posts, and forget the world for a little while. This is emphasised by Queen's commentary - I can't find the exact quote, but it's something about being worried that the Lightners will become depressed without the 'bliss' of the internet, which isn't currently working in Hometown. We also know that Chapter 3 will take place in Toriel's lounge room and seems to be specifically based around the TV (and, this is off topic, but I literally just realised Mike could be, like, mic, as in microphone, and Tenna could be short for antenna), which can also be a form of escapism for people. I know that my mum, for one, watches TV most nights.

There's also the specific characters who fall into the Dark Worlds - Kris, Susie, Noelle, Berdly.

Kris seems to be considered weird by most of Hometown, where they are the only human and don't seem to have many - or, well, any - real friends apart from their brother, who was the town's golden boy, who everyone keeps talking about and seems to hold in high regard, whose side of the bedroom holds trophies and pictures and colour while Kris' is bare and grey (they also have Susie now, but she only became their friend during the first Dark World). In the Dark World, however, Kris gets to be a hero, sword and shield raised, saving the world with their friends. Everyone in Castle Town loves them. The room Ralsei built for them has trophies aplenty. And then there's the matter of Ralsei, who looks so much like Toriel and Asgore and Asriel, who is so nice and so supportive of Kris, who has pink horns like maybe a certain red headband faded (yes I headcanon that Ralsei is Kris' old horn headband and will continue to do so until proven wrong).

Susie, who drinks milk from back alleys and threatens to eat people's faces, who didn't actually call home when she had a sleepover with Kris, who gets uncomfortable around the block of flats in Hometown, who doesn't seem to know how to react when shown kindness or friendship, who considers herself the 'bad guy'. Well, she gets to be that bad guy, strong and powerful and scary, with a big axe and sharp teeth and enemies to defeat. And then she gets to have friends, she gets to have food, she gets to be the hero and maybe that's not so bad after all if she does it alongside people she cares about, people who care about her. We can see how much happier she is in the Dark Worlds.

Berdly, who tries so hard to be perceived as smart, who loves videogames. I don't have as much to say about him, honestly, but his Dark World design is quite distinctively Cyber World when compared to the other Lightner's more fantasy-inspired designs, and being in the Dark World gives him the chance to be a hero, even if he's not great at that for most of Chapter 2.

And Noelle. Noelle, whose sister seems to be missing or dead, whose dad is in hospital, whose mum is the town's mayor and works a lot and has an icy personality. Noelle who searches for bugs and secrets in the games she seems to love. Noelle who wishes she had magic to heal her dad. Noelle who seems to feel powerless to help someone she loves, who doesn't stand up to Berdly or her mum. Once she's in the Dark World, she can heal people. She stands up to Queen, who is a sort of mother figure. She gets to spend time with Susie. She gets to see the city lights that Dess promised her.

All this to say that Deltarune in general and the Dark Worlds specifically have some not-so-subtle themes of escapism.

Now, the 'why it hits me hard' bit. Escapism has always been one of my main coping strategies, and even beyond that, I love fantasy, I love stories, I love burying myself in another world. It's much easier to be in a world where there's magic and quests and maybe there's struggles and strife and people still get hurt and mess up and go through bad things, but eventually there's a happy ending because that's how stories work, they don't have the constant uncertainty of real life. And, you know, if I could go to a Dark World, I would. I can understand why Susie likes the Dark Worlds so much, why Noelle and Berdly wanted to make another. Escapism is something that I can understand, especially after having struggled with my mental health for a few years (I'm a lot better now though). The world can be messy and complicated and hard, and wouldn't it be nice to be in a different world for a bit, one where you can be who you want to be and you don't feel lost anymore?

So, uh... yeah lol.

Modern au trans Ace has been consuming my mind lately so I thought I'll just share all of my headcanons or else I'll explode:

• Sabo was the first person he had come out to. It happened when they were around 9. Ace had always felt that something was "wrong" about him. That the way he acted, his interests and past times, and just how he would do things were "unnatural" or wierd". Once Ace became familiar with the conspet of transgenderism he just opened up to him, and was met with instant support.

• Immediately after this, Sabo gave Ace his (trademark) transgender haircut in the bathroom of Dadan's house. She actually entered it while they were there and upon seeing it she cried out of happyness. (Mothers know everything)

• Coming out to Garp was a bit harder for Ace since he wasn't sure how an older person would have reacted, I mean Garp just left there his grand"daughter" and came back to a grandson after all. But we all know that Garp would never discriminate, and plus now he has another grandson to train.

• Luffy arrived in his life after a full year after he had transitioned, so at first Ace wasn't sure how to exacly explain this to Luffy, but he did manage to open up to him after they officially became brothers. Luffy wasn't just an innocent kid, while he didn't fully understood concepts like transphobia, to him Ace is just his brother so if anyone is mean to him or calls him names he'll just kick their asses.

• Ace had been homeschooled for the 5 years that would have been him attending elementary school. Middle school was the first time he attended an actual school and at first he wasn't open or confident at all and was ready to just beat up anyone who tried to shit talk him.

• Surprisingly he made a few friends. They were mostly just Luffy's friends who were older than him or his friends's siblings, but he appreciated it anyway. His absolute best friend ever tho is Kuina. I hd her as non binary using she/they so its just trans supporting trans, and they also have like a million of other reasons to be friends but those were already pointed out.

• His top surgery was payed by none other than his father Newgate. The Whitebeards pirates would be just this one tatoo shop Ace works at that Newgate he opened after "retiring" from biker gangs and stuff.

• Obbligatory T4T Yamace, but we all already knew this, didn't we?

• Ace gets the best older trans guy advice from Franky. Because to me, he is just what every trans guy aspires to be, cool and hardboiled. And who wouldn't want to get advice from the dude who did his own top surgery in his father's mechanic shop at 15?

These are all from me, but feel free to add your own or elaborate on the ones you like.

Trans Ace is so real to me that I quite literally can't imagine him being cis. It's just so,,, Weird to me. And I absolutely love everything you said. I definitely think Sabo was the first one to know and the one who helped Ace the most with his transition, also telling Garp, who actually is way better (if you can say 'better' when something isn't even 'good' but yeah) at raising boys. At least he understands them better. So I think he wouldn't have a problem with it at all even if he's more on the "I don't really get it that much, kid, but as long as you're happy" type of vibe. I agree with everything,, When he was younger he really didn't interact with many people and usually preferred to be alone. Teachers considered him more of a problematic kid than anything, and always compared him to Sabo with the typical "how are you like this when your brother is just so polite and smart!?" but then Sabo always ends up fighting the teachers for saying that shit in front of the class and Sabo stops being so perfect in their eyes (also he starts rebelling himself a lot against the educational system lmao). And not to talk shit about Garp, but talking shit about Garp I'm sure Ace would get in trouble a lot and Garp wouldn't show up to the meetings with Ace's teachers. That only makes Ace feel lonelier and everyone thinks he's extremely troubled. When he's literally a sweetheart to both Sabo and Luffy,, When he meets Luffy's friends, he starts to open up to people. He still gets in a lot of trouble, honestly, but that's just him. I think his classmates find out about him being trans, of course, and not a lot of people are okay with that. He truly wants to fight them but he knows that if he keeps going like this he'll get expelled and he doesn't like the idea of leaving Sabo and Luffy alone ('doesn't like the idea' meaning he almost gets expelled and Sabo had to scold him and tell him that even though he has his own friends he doesn't know what he would do without him in school), so Luffy and Sabo are usually the one defending him a lot of the time since the teachers, even though they're chaotic, don't really hate them (because look at those cutie patooties how could you hate Luffy???? He gets along even with teachers). The Whitebeard pirates accept him with open arms and he finally feels he has a place to belong to. Newgate doesn't even offer to pay for the surgery, he just pays without telling him first because he knows Ace wouldn't have let him do it otherwise. He's so so grateful for them. And his brothers. And his friends. And everybody that has ever supported him. I think that he has lots of issues with depression and self-image and he often has a hard time when he acts impulsively, but Newgate always helps him. He grounds him. Gives him something to focus on. And Franky is soooo fun to be around. Newgate tells him to go see Franky and give him the money he owes him, and that's how they meet, basically. It's obvious he's trans because he goes shirtless all the time and scars are there and everything... And Ace just has to ask about his experience. Franky helps him gladly. And it's not only cathartic but also very comforting. He also meets Robin there!!!! Because married Frobin in this one. And I think Ace would absolutely love her because she keeps being oh so nice to him. She kind of reminds him of Makino, and it's extremely sweet. I think Ace now goes to help Franky from time to time when the Tattoo shop doesn't really need him there or, well, whenever he wants to because he also is extremely interested in bikes.

T4T Yamace my beloved.... Guys being guys. Dudes being dudes. I think they meet because Newgate tells Ace something about this man Kaido (leader of a gang) who owes him lots of money or something or did something very nasty to him yadda yadda Maybe they just have beef from when Newgate was into the gang stuff. And Ace keeps saying he should go and settle things with Kaido and beat him up for that, but Newgate is retired and he really, really doesn't give a single fuck about it. Lmao. Ace says he could take down Kaido himself. Newgate laughs. Ace is too proud. So he ends up looking for Kaido and fighting Yamato late at night in the street and,, Well. You know how it goes. They become daddy issues besties and turns out Yamato does not want to follow his dad's steps. Ace is curious about Yamato's experience because he doesn't seem to want to have surgery or anything, and they keep bonding over their pasts and family and Yamato ends up joining the friend group. And it's so cute. Newgate can see the kid is in love because every day he waits for Yamato to come pick him up to hang out. Or maybe he begs to get out earlier to go see Yamato. He keeps talking about Yamato,,, All the time. Even Sabo and Luffy are done with him. It's endearing.

I'd Die (Again) for Y'all (Part 11)

Whatever the GIW was looking for it, Bats had it in spades. Cyborg himself didn't. Which, he wasn't going to lie, was a relief. He had enough trouble without government agencies looking to cut him open to see how he ticked.

"You holding onto the guns?" he asked, taking another look-see at the scanner.

"Hn."

"Right. I'll get to work on this, you watch your back."

It was a simple process of gathering and sorting data. He couldn't the thing up to the Watchtower's systems until he understood it better, so Cyborg went about it the old fashioned way == he used the scanner on every League member and staff personnel on the station.

It took a while, but once he started comparing his positive results, something jumped out fairly quickly. Everyone the scanner alerted on had died and come back to life at least once.

There were a few false negatives -- folks who had died and didn't set off the scanner. Wonder Woman was one of them. Like her, the others all had some connection with some variety of gods. Which raised a ton of questions, but for now Cyborg had what he needed: proof the GIW was targeting folks who had died and a clue as to how they were doing it. The scanner was clearly picking up on /something/ after all. And those laws Oracle turned up talked a lot about ectoplasm, so assume ghosts and ectoplasm actually exist…

Wonder Woman was a princess of Themyscira and any princess was, by definition, a diplomat. She reminded herself of that, very firmly, as Agent D tried, again, to get her to return their guns.

"I'm sorry," she said firmly, "But only authorized personnel are allowed weapons here. You are lucky I was able to clear you to come up at all. Now, you were going to tell me how we can defend against infiltration by these…"

"Ecto-entities," the other agent jumped in. "You have at least one here already--"

"And we are keeping him under observation until this can be resolved," Wonder Woman said smoothly. She didn't need to explain that everything on the Watchtower was under constant observation. Let them think that she actually believed their ridiculous claim.

Really, she was starting to wonder if these 'ecto-entities' weren't all a figment of the agents imagination.

Poor Phantom. If they'd been hunting him as long as she suspected it was no wonder he reacted badly to the Justice League. They were, as she had said more than once, too closely tied to the US government.

Hopefully when this was 'resolved' they'd have a chance to apologize and help him feel safe again.

"Now, you have said that these entities can fly and do not need to breath. Would they be able to enter space?"

The dumbfounded look on the two agents faces was all the answer she needed. They answered anyway. "Oh my god, we never thought of that."

"We'll need to begin testing on all returning astronauts immediately to make sure they aren't overshadowed. That would be horrible. And dangerous."

Wonder Woman nodded as if she understood what they were talking about. "That is indeed concerning."
