i think the whole spoiling the hp game thing aint gonna work. people are still gonna play the game because for them it isnt just about the story but about being able to play a wizard in a video game. and at this point, some folks arent even boycotting the game, they just wanna troll others and some are even sending death threats which uuhhh is a crime yknow. the internet is not a legal vacuum. the moment you send someone a death threat or tell someone to kill themselves, you are the one being in the wrong. this is not what activism is and you know it. hp fans are buying more copies of the game because they feel pissed off by trolls. so on both sides people are adding fuel to the fire.

there cant be a discussion about anything if people arent willing to listen to each other.

umm I've been selected for the tumblr web beta ?? I've never been selected for anything in my life lol

basically tumblr wants to test some changes and selected some users for it

everyone seems to be mad about it currently but thats not surprising since  we are all hermits and are allergic to change (but never do anything about it lol)

anyway here is my opinion ( would like to note that i have an art degree that includes web design and graphic design (alongside fashion too) so all my analysis will lean towards the aesthetics

my opinion:

things i like :

-  the font changed its much easier for me to read also its bigger  i can now uninstall my beeline extension since my dashboard inst trying to cut my eyes with knives anymore

- optimization of performance,tumblr is much much faster in loading now its pretty cool and when clicking on the tumblr icon it doesn't reload the entire page to fetch the   new posts i want to see no it just refreshes my dash only and i love that its quicker and saves my internet

-changed the ui to a simple one and added themes (dark mode finally !! now my dash doesn't give me a headache! ) 4 new themes + old blue is back !

-added the option to view the likes page and followed tags in grid view, it looks so neat now and its a time saver also clicking on the image to view a post opens the post under it!! i love this its saves me from endless scrolling through my likes!

things i dont care for:

-added a meatballs menu to the top right that combines the options for copy link to share (removed the airplane icon) unfollowing tags or blogs and reporting, dont really care

things i dont like :

-by making the ui bigger the neglected to center everything and now the margins are NOTICEABLY bigger and its making me want to pull my hair out

-removed the activity bar thing (that looks like a heartbeat forgot what its called ) i geuss in an attempt to make everything minimal and optimized they removed it ( you can still see you likes and reblogs etc.. obv )

-idk if this is because this is beta and not everything is implemented but changing the gif size (and image but i am not sure if its my internet or its a change ) to a smaller resolution please dont do that its not 2010 anymore thanks
