Another random Migonnet headcanon…

Much of the Migonnet fortune (besides being old money & owning a lot of land) was from discovering/owning a mine of alexandrite gems.

This also explains the alexandrite brooches Duke, Duchess, & Alexandre wear.

new (angsty) headcanon how the plot-reveal that Alexandre is actually Duchess Naelle & Duke Migonnet’s nephew happens... 

one day for whatever reason (to be determined), Alexandre is furious at Naelle. Like petty, childish, giving the cold shoulder and refusing to talk level except for sarcastic feigned respect. And the culmination of that expression of said frustration, in front of (your muse) Alex snarks back to his mother (Naelle):  “yes, Auntie.” (& poor Naelle look of devastation which confirms it) asdfghj

Alexandre, Future Duke of Migonnet (aka Duke Jr).

& The Duke & Duchess Migonnet, one wedding & dramatic time skip later!  (Gasp!!)

So! Who is Alex? He’s the Duke’s successor. He’s a social butterfly, a swordsman prodigy, a sweet-natured boi but with a fiery temper if provoked. He also likes making new friends with the woodland creatures & cryptids. He considers the Duke & Duchess Migonnet his father & mother.

So... wait, hold on, is he Duke’s son?? Yes. But the exact details idk yet :D  By birth? By adoption? By relation as nephew or cousin whose parents passed & the Duke & Duchess have been raising as their own? no clue yet! :D 

But sweet Alex deserves nice things, and making sure he doesn’t grow up to be Duke 2.0 (oh no!)

Also there’s two because I think in the start of his arc he’ll have longish hair that’s tied back with a bow, but later as the result of Alex’s first duel of swords he gets a haircut haha XD
