WELL. SHIT.

PERSEPHONE'S EXISTENCE HAS BEEN STRANGE from the very beginning. born an identical twin with enough cursed energy to power a fucking city without the added burden of orion's, without a fragment of a cursed spirit lodged in her soul like a fucking splinter, without the world-ending rage that would come to her later in life and a technique they still don't truly understand, they were never exactly slated for a benign existence.

even so: dying and coming back as an apparition while shibuya burns to ash and bone was not on their bingo card for late twenties life events.

getting used to her new form — forms — took no effort at all. going from woman to many-eyed wolfbeast feels like slipping into a second skin. not quite sorcerer and not entirely spirit, half their perception of themself (anguished, enraged, all vengeance and newly awakened) and half the world's perception of them (monstrous, lupine, revenant and ruiner), persephone HELLHOUND walks the scorched earth for the first time under paws the size of dinner plates and follows what they do not yet recognize as a cursed-energy scent trail.

they are looking for satoru. they have to make sure he's alright — wherever he has landed in this great neo-volcanic mess — and he's bound to be the most powerful presence in this space, right?

but as they bound through pools of shadow and leap between piles of debris that once were the rooftops she so adored, it is not her old friend who stands at the center of this unending storm.

it is someone different. someone far older, and far, far worse.

persephone has never seen ryomen sukuna in the flesh. they've heard stories from their employer, who was alive during his time and remains so thanks to the technique of eternal youth. they've heard of his reincarnation and how it sent the higher-ups of jujutsu society into panic. they've seen paintings, renderings, blurry images.

but the sheer presence of him has her monster-form raising its hackles, a shiver rippling through quills of black fur, many eyes wide and focused for fear of what might happen if they look away.

quietly, she lets the shadow-form melt away to decrease her visibility and watches him approach the dead, flaming disaster curse he has just utterly demolished. watches him regard it as it burns, crumbles, and disappears into ash. watches him turn his head, her living-dead-heart dropping into her stomach as he looks right at her.

so this is the trace given off by the young twins' dead bodies. god, he wasn't remotely this powerful before, was he?

perhaps it was her fate to die today after all. but no — you know what? fuck fate. it tried to kill her already and she ate her way out of the belly of hell because she has a fucking mission to finish. fear melts away into resolve, steely-eyed, calm. a call across the space, from one howling cursed-energy storm to another. ❝ i'm not here to fight. ❞

okay but why are we questioning if we're "actually" a wolfdog again. we've been through this before. we're a wolf who grew up socialized by humans with only dogs for an example of how to be a canine, and we happen to turn into a dog sometimes.

we'd maybe be more willing to see ourselves as a wolfdog if only we could see a single wolfdog with our coat color, but we never have. hell, we've only seen a few wolves with our coat color, and already, none of them are sea wolves--and we know we're a sea wolf.

"what am i what am i what am i" it's fucking endless, why can't we just be for once. we're a wolfbeast that sometimes turns into a dog, sometimes turns into other things, but we're always, have always been a wolfbeast of some kind. coywolf, sea wolf, red wolf--there's always been wolf in there.

it's just... so deeply frustrating that we can never seem to settle and be satisfied.

heglo! we're the canis constellate. we're a mediple, multi-origins hivemind that is polyfragmented, spiritual in nature, and has DID. we use it/its and ze/hir exclusively. we're a genderfaun auto/mspec pansybutch gaybian. this blog is mainly run by Oakley, Twitch, Snail, Caxton, and Calvin; Oakley and Twitch are part of the Wolf Subsystem, which you can see more of below, and you can find basic descriptions of us in our frequent fronter directory. our plural blog is @canis-constellate and our selfship-focused (but not exclusive) blog is @local-lovey-wolfboy (although it's not very active anymore). note: we are bodily an adult, although we prefer not to state our actual age for privacy (and paranoia) reasons.

we are explicitly proship/profic; if you don't like that, leave. i don't want any trouble with anyone, and if you're an anti, i don't want to be around you. we are also pro-selfshipping, but you'd see that if you looked at our other blog for just about two seconds anyway.

when wei use we/us/our/ours/oursel[f/ves], wei're talking about the collective as a whole. when wei use wei/meus/myur/miurs/myursel[f/ves], wei're talking just about myurselves, [the] Wolf [Subsystem]. note that we are disordered via a CDD (but don't consider ourselves to be a system largely due to being a stickler for semantics), but wei consider myurselves to be disordered (and a system) by our/myur AVPD, which influences how wei split and function.

we are considered a "clinical lycanthrope" by most humans; we refer to ourselves as a wolf or wolfbeast, and we block reality checkers indiscriminately. we occasionally experience the delusion that we are an alien*. our nonhuman sideblog is @rotting-bones-will-sing.

do not reality check us. we are a wolf through and through (although we occasionally turn into other things), and not only would calling us human be wrong, it'll also make us hate your guts forever and will make our paranoia around getting "caught" worse. referring to us as a human or trying to tell us we aren't a wolf is the fastest way to make us block you. we are healthiest mentally when we are a wolfbeast.

* never refer to us being an alien as a delusion while we are in it. continue referring to us as a wolf or wolfbeast as you would normally; this only happens in times of severe mental, emotional, or physical distress and/or exertion. continuing to refer to us as a wolf will help us get back to baseline.

we're physically disabled and use both forearm crutches and a wheelchair. we also have ASPD, NPD, AVPD, and are schizophrenic + autistic, among other things. we have DID, but our plurality came before it and we are spiritual in nature; we believe we were predisposed to developing (polyfrag) DID due to our schizophrenia and autism, among other things.

aspd/npd/bpd/hpd abuse isn't a real or distinct form of abuse, don't come within a 10 foot pole if you think it is, or else i am spraying you with a pressure washer.

the mix of our schizophrenia and avpd makes us incredibly paranoid and suspicious of others, and we'll often refer to ourselves as being monstrous or compare ourselves to rot or scum. it may take us a while to answer asks because we get worried that if we answer them in the "wrong way", the asker will see us as a freak and regret sending it. you can check out #avpd posting on our blog to see more of how our avpd has/is affect[ed/ing] us.

sometimes we feel the urge to apply -genic origin terms to our nonhuman IDs and experiences. like...

our leopard seal therian ID is spingenic

our corvid cladotherian ID is neurogenic, as is our hare/jackrabbit theriotype

our red fox therian ID is quoigenic

both our malware kin and robot/android kin IDs are traumagenic

etc etc. sure -genic labels are intended/mostly used for plurality, especially when it comes to the more niche labels, but it feels faster and easier to say "oh, yeah, we're a quoigenic red fox therian" than it is to say "we're a red fox therian, but we don't really know why, there's nothing we can really tie it to in terms of origin"

(and maybe it could help pull away from the false dichotomy of psychological alterhuman vs spiritual alterhuman, but who knows)
