Speaking of which, it's not much because...ehe I'm not the best with mora but..."

Your cheeks blushed a pink tint as the bard held out a small gift for you,...the first one you'd open. "You really didn't have to you know..."

"Of course I did! What kind of person doesn't bring a gift to someone's birthday, especially when that someone is as amazing as you!"

You bit your bottom lip, feeling slightly flustered as you opened the box...lifting up the lid to reveal a quill pen and ink, along with what seemed to be a small handmade notebook. The feather of the pen was what caught you eye as it was a bright sky blue decorated with small jewels of your favourite colours, "It's goregous Venti..."

"I figured together we could write fun memories in it and then one day after its full, I can use it to write songs for us both about our favourite moments."

That question seemed to sting more than it normally did, not only because the answer was a painful one...but because it was being asked on a day that should have made you happy...one that should have been all about you, if only people had actually showed up. "Normally...I don't show up for birthdays, I find them crowded and feel that you should celebrate ones birth everyday, but your birthday is a special one. Someone as wonderful as you... deserves to be celebrated. I...even got you you a gift...though it may not be anything you enjoy."

You smiled slightly, watching as Xiao sat down beside you...setting a messily wrapped gift in your lap, "Xiao...I am going to love whatever you may give me, because it's from you."

His heart raced in his chest and as you began to open his gift he silently prayed to the geo archon you'd like what he got you, he'd spent hours choosing it.

You gasped, shocked to bouquet of Qinxing wrapped in adepti sigils, each of them were beautiful and smelled of the mountain tops..you couldn't even begin to imagine how long it took him to gather them all, "Xiao I-"

"The sigils will make it so they never wilt, they will always remain how they look right now...a symbol..of how I feel for you. A love that will never cease."

Ganyu pulled you close, resting her head on top of yours while she hummed a lullaby and rubbed your back, hoping she could at least ease the pain you were feeling. Not even in her wildest dreams could she imagine how anyone wouldn't want to attend your birthday, she thought of you as the most amazing person to ever exist...a star roaming amongst a sea of darkness and a day to celebrate you to her...was something incredibly special.

"I'm so sorry no one else made it...perhaps they all got caught up with work or other things and just couldn't get out of it?"

"I have a gift for you, I thought long and hard about it, made sure it was absolutely perfect for you." She moved away from you just long enough to retrieve the gift, it was wrapped in a pale blue paper and scented like flowers, you hadn't even opened it yet and you could see how much effort she'd put into it, "Awwe Ganyu this is to much, you didn't have to.."

"Oh but I did...please open it, I think you'll love it."

You smiled at her, carefully peeling back the wrapping paper and opening the box just enough to see what was inside. "Oh my gosh...it's a plushy and it's handmade, Ganyu did you-"

"In between shifts I learned the pattern for you and made sure it was sewn the absolute best I could. I've never made anything like it before and I was worried I wouldn't finish it in time...but I wanted you to have something that showed my determination and attention to what you like. I also figured it could help you sleep."

No i completely agree with having some drama in the plot! I love the chaos,the hurt, and drama in general! It’s what makes everything in the end so satisfying to read bc who can see how the vision came together! And you absolutely aren’t being dramatic! It’s okay to feel some type of way when you have people voicing their opinions on your stories because you’ve said many times that the themes you wrote are deeply personal to you! So of course you’ll get some emotions going and that’s okay I mean it’s your blog so you’re allowed to express yourself freely ya know!

And bahah omg of course I’ll go to therapy for the both of us 🤪

There have been so many instances throughout your work where I have felt SEEN whether it be tiny quirks that you give your characters or there deepest struggles/desires so of course when topics like what the MC of Dolcezza struggles come up, I don’t “hate” it or find it “annoying” because it’s a genuine struggle that I personally deal with just like others! It’s a very raw thing to portray and it’s hard to understand from an outsiders perspective how it may look like an easy fix but unless you have/do struggle with it, it’s not that simple.

And you’re too sweet! I try my best not to have too much typos since I mainly answer on my phone and I just get too excited sometimes when responding lol

Eyes dilated to the point it might pop out of your sockets, red glowing harder as the male leans in further, top lip grazing yours, warm breath fanning against your skin. “Come now, enough stalling~” Ran slipped away from you, slender fingers looping over yours, dragging your frozen figure, mouth still left ajar, cheeks hot to the touch. The slithering regret of agreeing to whatever outing he has planned for your birthday, now wishing that Rindou was here to knock some sense in the teasing bimbo, but you don’t dislike it.. Ran barely has time for anything really, even getting the chance to spend a day with him was a dream come true.

“We’re here~” Hues of blue to shades of orange and red as the Sun continued its descend, golden rays of light reflecting the blue ocean, waves clashing against the cream brown sand, leaving darkened patches in its place. “Ran.. this is.. “ Silence was all you could reply, the view so striking a painter of incredible caliber would be in tears. “Only the best for my little love, now why don’t we enjoy ourselves?” With an eager nod, you were already being pulled towards a small area, checkered picnic cloth, the pole of the parasol sinking into the sand, fiery portable stove boiling imo-ni, the flowy flavour of taro and meat reaching your senses.

Striped candle holding a flicking flame, the wax dripping slowly and hardening on the stick. “Ran.. thank you!” You cheered, toothy grin plastered on your face as a subtle smile spread on his. “I heard you loved imo-ni, let’s eat before it gets cold.” You hummed in response, skipping towards the picnic area. This was a change, but, you don’t dislike it..

I was thinking of a sweet scenario where you and Law share a loving embrace on a balcony during a snowy night in his kingdom. I don't know if you can see them but there are little blue roses embroidered in the ends of your dress sleeves. here’s the section where i dump a bunch of art and ramble for a while! to start off: i made alternate versions of the costume.. ultimately i couldn’t decide which one i liked best, so i made 3. here’s the other two (and transparents in case you like that):

now here’s where you should stop because i’m going to babble about how i started drawing this in the first place and the art is...... not refined lol

since i’m more of a casual+traditional artist, i knew i would need a lot of time to prepare for this to look good... so i started drawing for your birthday in january

this is the first piece! when i draw something i’ve never drawn before, i do a practice piece—except this time i really liked it! i was contemplating going with this one before i thought “it needs more action”

this one... ehh..... the “*Note: DON’T DRAW @ MIDNIGHT” really sells the exhaustion of the art, so i did a rough sketch at the bottom corner of an action pose that i think would work better

and... it could have worked? i nailed the face and hair, except i really don’t have much practice with drawing action as i write “I am new to action poses... and muscles 👀”

until then, i took a break. however, that didn’t stop me from doodling shay all over the house. this one i drew with pen on note paper and left it in the kitchen by mistake. my mom says she loves the angel!

i drew this on the boogie board we keep on our fridge. i must have pressed hard enough on it that even when i erased it you could still see what i scribbled

yet none of these were coming out right. there was always something off about them that i just couldn’t cling to. the break ended up continuing for about a month before i had to sit myself down and go “WE ARE DOING THIS”

one try. one more try was all i needed before i knew this was the one. this piece was made with the help of various references such as: screen shots from the show to understand her movement when she flies to baseball players to mimic how to hold a mace (google did not give me references on how to hold a mace)

it’s an art style much sharper than what i normally draw, but it gave me vibes of reading a comic book

i transferred the drawing to photoshop where i went to work. since i don’t have a tablet, i drew this with my laptop touchpad. the touchpad itself isn’t a problem. i’ve mastered using the pen tool to get the image i want, yet i’ve always struggled with finding the right brush to do it. my lines always come out too stiff since i don’t have pressure...

i tried a different brush, “flat fan” at size 1. my worries were gone! it was just the brush i needed to give shape to the line art. occasionally i would change the size to 2 for lines i wanted particularly thick

colouring is harder. i’m just generally not good at it? colours look dull and flat, i don’t know how to blend, etc. despite all attempts, i managed to find myself satisfied with what came. i did add a filter called “Color Halftone” for the comic book look (the spots that you can barley see), and i maaay have messed with levels+selective color to brighten everything up after i finished... imafilthycheater maybe one day i’ll learn proper colouring!

As you grow older, you realize the importance of nurturing bonds and spending time w/ those you care about most. You understand, in great detail, just how much a particular person means to you and you learn to #value and #appreciate every moment spent with them because sometimes, those moments can be few and far between. 😞 Recently, we took a trip out to visit my parents in the #PI. I am so very #thankful for that ‘time’. Waking up early morning and having coffee and good convos w/ him, is something I miss dearly. They were a #favorite part of my trip because they were our #special daddy/daughter time. He is an #intelligent, #thoughtful, #loving and #selfless being. He can also be a little stern at times and blunt, 😳 but who’s #Dad isn’t?
