Facts about Imani Cove:

Imani started wrestling when she was 15 years old and trained under Booker T when she turned 16.

Imani is a HUGE fan favorite in WWE. Think of good crowd responses and big pops compared to Bianca Belair, Becky Lynch, and Rhea Ripley. She's also very well respected by WWE Executives backstage.

Imani graduated from Prairie View A&M University with her Bachelor's in Music and a minor in Theater. If she hadn't gone into wrestling, she originally wanted to pursue a Broadway career.

When Imani was 8 and her sister was still a newborn, her parents divorced and she went to live with her mother and her new husband in Georgia. Her mother would lose custody of both girls to her father when Imani was 10. The last time she saw her mom was when she was 12. She doesn't like to talk about her mother or that time she and her sister lived with her.

Before signing with the WWE, Imani was the certified it girl on the indie circuit from 2007-2015, kicking ass and racking up championships left and right, as well shattering the expectations of fans and critics alike.

Imani, though a social butterfly, tends to keep her private life extremely secretive, especially in regards to her childhood.

She's wrestled in promotions such as ROH, Reality of Wrestling, DDT-Pro Wrestling, NJPW, PWG, & Shimmer.

Imani holds a Guinness Book of World Records for most title defenses while holding the NXT Women’s Championship.

At the request of Booker T, Imani auditioned for the fifth season of Tough Enough in 2010, but sadly didn't make the cut.

Imani's entrance music is heavily influenced by a combination of 90s/00s hip hop and 2000s grunge, think the Linkin Park/Jay-Z collab.

In late 2014 she became a free agent and was almost immediately approached by WWE. The initial goal was to sign her and get her into an immediate feud with Sasha Banks and Charlotte Flair, but Imani had been under a 90 day no compete clause at the time.

She finally signed with WWE in spring of 2015 and would make her first TV appearance on NXT TV in August. She would later confront Bayley during TakeOver London which would kick off their 5 month feud. Imani would win the NXT Women's Championship at TakeOver: Dallas.

Imani Cove still holds the record for longest title reign with the NXT Women's Championship at 522 days. She would lose her title to her friend and former tag team partner Ember Moon at TakeOver: WarGames in 2017. This would also be her last match in NXT before debuting on the main roster the RAW after WrestleMania 34 to begin a three-way feud between Nia Jax and Alexa Bliss.

She would win her first RAW Women's Title at that year's Money in the Bank before getting cashed in on by Alexa to begin their feud. She would win the title back at Summerslam that year and would hold the title for 161 days before dropping it to Ronda Rousey at 2019 Royal Rumble.

During COVID, she held the Smackdown Women's Championship for the first time in her career for a total of 371 days, winning it against her tag team partner Bayley. She held the record for the longest reigning Smackdown Women's Champion until Rhea Ripley.

She has an amazing relationship with her sister and half-brothers and is very close to her stepmom Renee.

Imani is a huge fan of horror movies and musicals. Very weird combo I know, but she likes what she likes. Her favorites are Bram Stoker's Dracula and Little Shop of Horrors.

She's also a BIG ASS NERD. She loves Lord of the Rings, Marvel, Star Wars, and is currently obsessed with a show called The Legend of Vox Machina. She's played several campaigns of D&D with Xavier Woods.

As a teen Imani participated in dance, music, & theater arts. She also played volleyball, and competed in track & field.

She appeared in the first ever Women's Royal Rumble at entry number 4, lasting 35:46 before being eliminated by Asuka.

At WrestleMania 38, Imani paid tribute to her Houston roots. She had a full escort of candy-painted slabs led by legendary Houston rapper Paul Wall.

The first thing she did with her first big WWE paycheck, aside from paying off her remaining student loans, was pay for her sibling's college and move her dad and stepmother to Orlando to be close to her.

Imani grew up in an affluent musical family. Her grandmother started as a jazz singer in New Orleans before becoming a background vocalist for artists like Diana Ross, Patti Labelle, Gladys Knight, and Stevie Wonder. Her grandfather played trombone for Stevie Wonder (that's how they met).

Just two months after winning her second Smackdown Women's title at WrestleMania 38, Imani was in a terrifying car accident while at home in Orlando. She had to be pried from the car with the jaws of life and life lighted. Luckily, she had only suffered a fractured jaw, leg, and left arm, but still she was forced to relinquish her championship.

Imani would make an emotional return nine months later after her car accident and begin a feud with Bayley/Damage Ctrl before being drafted to RAW.

Right now Imani has 16 tattoos. She plans to get more in the future.

Thanks to her grandparents, Imani is a classically trained pianist and can also play the guitar.

Imani has two dogs and a cat: an orange male named Cheddar, a pitbull male named Brucey, and a Golden Retriever female named Cashew. Cashew was a birthday gift from Damian when she was a puppy.

Elvis' first LP cover 📀

A LITTLE BACKGROUND STORY ABOUT THE PICTURES USED AS COVERS FOR ELVIS' FIRST LP "ELVIS PRESLEY" RELEASED ON MARCH 23, 1956. All the pictures were taken in 1955.

THE FRONT COVER

Known as the "Tonsil Photo", the picture of Elvis holding his 1955 Martin D-28 guitar (with custom made tooled leather cover with his name "Elvis Presley" blazoned across the front), as used on the front cover for his first RCA LP, was taken on July 31st 1955 in Tampa, Florida, according to Tampa photographer William V. "Red" Robertson, who took the picture.

Colonel Parker hired quite a few different studios and photographers to photograph Elvis in the 50s for commercial purposes. Williams Vernon "Red" Robertson was one of the professional photographers hired by Parker, in his case to photograph a show with Elvis Presley on July 31, 1955. Robertson did field work for his Robertson & Fresh commercial photography studio, a firm active in Tampa from 1932 to 1960. Roberton's business partner, Harry Fresh, processed and printed the images. You can see some other pictures from Robertson & Fresh's studio in here (digitalcommons.usf.edu archives).

The "tonsil photo" since taken was extensively used in newspaper and print to promote future shows in the 50s, and due to its use in Elvis' first LP, specially, it's one of the most famous pictures of the King of Rock and Roll.

On November 30th 1955, Elvis and the Colonel flew to New York, where they register at the Hotel Victoria on Fifty-first Street.

On Thursday, December 1st 1955, Elvis and the Colonel met RCA executives, including president Larry Kanaga and publicity director Anne Fulchino, at the RCA's Twenty-fourth Street studio in New York.

Back to December 1st, 1955: A photo shoot was arranged and pictures of Elvis and the Colonel, Elvis and Steve Sholes and Elvis and fellow RCA recording artist Eddy Arnold, who happened to be in New York for a session, were taken in December 1st 1955.

In April 2014 Jared was in Thailand, mind you, ten years after the shooting of Alexander had ended there, and he used the trip for a little sightseeing and a big ol’ non mention of the movie that allegedly “changed [his] life”. The year before, while campaigning for the Oscar, he had successively morphed back into his Hephaistion form - long, flowing hair and on/off beard - and then stayed this way for the next decade.

Who could that someone be?

He went there after the shooting of Alexander had wrapped in February 2004 to recuperate. Depending on which old news source you trust, he fell down hotel stairs or from a table while dancing or jumped from a second story balcony, shitfaced in every scenario, thereby doing to himself what you can see in the picture and also jeopardizing the movie shoot, just a few days before it was to end. But he pushed through anyway and delivered some cool scenes. The photo shows him at Maya beach, the “secret beach” that Jared chose to post too ten years later. Colin also stayed in Rai Leh/Railay at a resort, where, ten years later, Jared chooses to make a sunset selfie and an intimate dedication. Such nice coincidences.

Was this the last great episode of FL signalling?

From what I remember, a few months later his yachting era would kick off in Capri with teenie future ex-girlfriend VK and CB and all those other people, giant ego boost included. And Colin? Elvis in Orlando, FL on February 15, 1977 - his first tour for what became his last year.

Taken some time early in 1977, it was a bit late for Elvis to wear a Santa hat for Christmas 1976 and far too early for Christmas ‘77.  Sadly there would be no more Christmases for Elvis.  In a matter of months he would die on August 16.

One of the last pictures of Elvis having fun onstage with a hat is this shot taken on May 25, 1977 in Rochester, NY.

Elvis in Macon, GA on June 1.  He was near the end of what became his second last tour.  After two weeks at home, he would depart for a tour of the midwestern states, a couple of shows of which (Omaha and Rapid City) were filmed by the CBS network for a TV special that would end up being posthumously screened on October 3.

GOP Lawmaker Takes Credit for Laws She Voted Against

Rep. Maria Elvira Salazar (R-FL) tried to take credit for federally-funded projects in her district made possible by legislation she voted against, CBS Miami reports.

【有志演奏】せんくら地下鉄コンサート(団員レポート) 9月30日（土）せんくら地下鉄コンサートで、東北ユースオーケストラが 演奏しました！

今回の地下鉄コンサートは9期初となる有志演奏という形での発表となりました。

演奏曲は坂本龍一監督作曲の「Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence（戦メリ）」、「Behind the Mask」、「Aqua」の3曲です。

今回の演奏会に参加したメンバーは、

Va. 長沼由莉さん

Perc. 三浦瑞穂さん（今回はピアノも弾いてくださいました）

の8名です。

また、今回のせんくらを担当していた有志演奏係の、

Tb. 福澄 茉音さん

が駆けつけ、せんくらでの演奏が実現しました。

まず、彼らは11:45頃に集合し、12:00から島村楽器仙台ロフト店さんのスタジオを借りてリハーサルを行いました。

そこでは、良い演奏を届けるために最後の最後まで、試行錯誤を繰り返しながらリハーサルを行います。

みなさん、本番に向けて真剣です。

TYOのメンバーは、様々な地域の人々から構成されているため、限られた時間の中で、練習を行う必要があるのです。

しかし、その中で突如の変更もあります。しかし、みなさんそれに屈することなく、スラスラとリハーサルを行います。みなさんの実力恐るべし....

スタジオでのリハーサルを終えて、いよいよ本番です。

会場に来たらびっくり。大勢のお客さんが！そしてお客さんの中には、団員の家族や友人の方の姿も！

また、9期生Vc.佐藤洸聖くんも、応援しに来てくれました！

せんくら出演メンバーからは緊張と取れるような表情が現れます。

いよいよ演奏開始です！

「Merry Christmas Mr. Lawrence（戦メリ）」から始まります。

改めて戦メリのフレーズを聞いてみると、これまでのTYOを思い出しますね。

戦メリは監督と演奏する曲の1つとして、TYOのみんなからも愛されてきた楽曲です。

特に、TYO4期の盛岡公演では、フライングで拍手が来るほど素晴らしい演奏を行うことができ、また、終演後に盛岡にさんさんと振り始めた雪によってさらなる感動が起こりました。

戦メリの演奏が終わり、団員からTYOの紹介が始まりました。

その中で緊張からなのか坂本監督のことを、坂本監督龍一と紹介してほっこりする場面も笑。

続いては、「Aqua」です！

「Aqua」は8期の演奏会でも演奏しました。

吉永小百合さんの朗読とともに奏でられる「Aqua」は私達団員にとってもとても印象深かったですね。

今年も演奏されるのでしょうか？

「Aqua」の素敵なメロディーに、お客さんはもちろんのこと、団員も聞き入っています。

そして最後の曲、坂本監督がYMO時代に作曲した「Behind the Mask」です。

この曲は3期の演奏会でも演奏されました。この曲はとても独特な世界観を持っています。

私が初めてこの曲を聞いた時、とても衝撃が走りました。事務局から楽譜が届いたときにはワクワクしていたのですが、なんと、私は降り番でした.....

また、いつの日か演奏できる機会があれば、今度こそ演奏したいですね。

この曲では、Hr.の田嶋さんもPerc.の三浦さんとともに、シェイカーで参加しました。

無事に3曲を演奏することができ、われわれTYOの演奏は終了です。

intro i guess
