Lazy Headcanons (feel free to share yours)

I really like the idea of lazy headcanons for muses. It can be intimate or just their plain guilty pleasure wherein nothing (apart from work and emergencies) would ever pry them off it.

Plo Koon:

Plo Koon's thirst for knowledge is probably as thirsty as I am for him (and puzzles). If he's down with a good book that's really got him hooked of something his centuries of season haven't stumbled across, he's not above having to raise a finger and make you wait till he finishes the last remaining pages or just so until he can reread the section of that got him really hooked or confused.

I'd like to think Plo (at least my version of Plo) is also into puzzles and board games like chess, checkers, game of the generals (kekekke) and such. He's got about 1238912839128391 ways to make a move but would ponder so heavily on that one killer shot and wouldn’t really pay much attention to you but wouldn acknowledge your presence with "Mmmms...." and "I see."

This isn't much of a headcanon because it is canon when he handed of C-3PO to Wolffe.

He'd happily pass having you entertained by someone else if he's not interested or if he's about to indulge in some solo-reading bonanza or would rather not be interrupted on any of his personal wind-down activities.

No sign means they're welcome to barge in (hopefully not as this worries Plo so much that his boys will eventually ingest so much Dorin gas they'd get sick. But has not the heart to lock up because boys are like cats clawing at the door when Buir has been in there far too long) while sign means Wolffe has to have extra headaches today.

Plo Koon requires little management when it comes to nourishing himself because he's tapped so much into the force it basically nourishes him. But in times when he can actually indulge in consuming food, he really savors and enjoys it. Given he does this in his private chambers, but who's to say he's not doing it all soaked in a bubble bath with scented candles and some good tunes? ♥

He has an old phonograph-like device handed down from generations to generations. A Koon phonograph from his father's father's father's.

And in the event that the Wolves are indeed persistent (as there is no 'Meditating on-going sign') and are so adamant to check on whether Plo Koon is still alive, he will do little to no protest and just be in his tub with a tray over, Dorin delicacies with his mask off and assure the boys that he is not depressed, sad, troubled, annoyed at them, ill, or anything apart from his best self.

He does this in his most very tired dad-voice and is all "Yes, yes, Commander Wolffe, I am unharmed. I simply wish to eat my dinner in peace." He sighs as the rest of the Wolves puff up trying to not inhale Dorin gas and Wolffe tries, tries, to do the same.

T: I am oddly really picky! I both really adore and also can't stand lots of different romance tropes, (and tbh other tropes) and it's really about context? Even if I say "oh I don't really like x" I tend to also...either write x or enjoy x in certain contexts, so I think for this I'd say that I can like most things in the right context, and there's nothing I really can't stand in universe, just more stuff that I dislike on a meta level.

Okay false, I thought of something: I hate not self aware ~cute~ farmcore and gardening adventures. Farming and Gardening are about WAR and SUFFERING and DEATH and LIFE and not about ~cute.~

X: I used to read almost everything and really often, but uhhh in the past two? three? years I've kind of, fallen off the fic reading bandwagon. I still do read fic! But almost exclusively because it was recced to me, I barely ever wander through character and ship tags anymore, which is a real shame! Maybe I should get back into doing that.

Y: I'd say there's a lot of stuff that I've written that hasn't gotten as much attention as the stuff that's "most popular" that I'm really fond of. TBH if I've published it, I'm really fond of it in some way. People often surprise me with what they really liked of my works or what they thought was really good!

I have to say, I'm still so fond of After tomorrow — who can say? which I wrote last year on a whim, and 有谁例外| Who is the exception? which I'm still rotating in my brain even now, but I know the "this is really far post canon" and "fic for a drama you certainly have never seen isn't really...lots of people's tea. So in a way, I can also see why certain fics that I really like and think of as some of my best work are like, "and this fic was beloved by you and two tumbleweeds."

1. I put a bunch of my plants out on the balcony for some extra sun as we get closer to the fall and The Darkness

2. Immediately had the thought of “it’s nice to have my balcony so full of plants but sad that it basically empties out my apartment of growing things :(“

3. From where I’m sitting at my desk, I can still fully see 9 plants inside and there’s another behind my monitor and another in the bathroom and two more in my bedroom

4. I think, possibly, growing up in a forest with an intense gardening mom may have, slightly, maybe, caused me to have unhinged needs for plants in my environment

Who could have ever foreseen this consequence. “I could have never encouraged any harassment campaigns!!!” as he literally encourages a harassment campaign.

I already left a comment to let the author know what was going on. I’m guessing he thinks this is some kind of “revenge” for BWIIDT critiquing Cap’s fic, but uhhhhhhh I’ve never read that fic he’s trying to criticize. I don’t think any of the “edelcrits” have. Not really into the ship and its fucking long too so I probably won’t either. I don’t really care if he critiques it, as long as he does it without literally sending harassment to the author?

You’d think the author having to delete dozens of harassing comments from his friendos would be a wake up call. Like maybe he needs to change strategy to help stem the harassment, because clearly he’s causing it since people are LITERALLY copy pasting paragraphs from his posts in the comments of the fic, but apparently he’s still linking to the fic on every post and made a master post so everyone could easily find his critiques and links to the fics without searching so like? Okay. So either you don’t actually care about the author getting harassed, or you want the author to get harassed you just want to pretend like you don’t. I can’t think of any other reason you would KEEP DOING THE THING LEADING TO HARASSMENT even after you clearly noticed you were causing harassment to happen.

I think everyone should go read the story, send the author some love, and tell her you’re sorry she has to put up with such childish tit-for-tat behavior over a situation she had literally nothing to do with.

Doctors should snark at each other more, be a bit mean. Not for no reason, mind you. But if five doctors blow me off about symptoms and doctor number six FINALLY runs actual tests and gets a diagnosis, I think it should be Doctor Six's right to call up the other five and tell them they're lazy pieces of shit. That should be socially encouraged. Those first five doctors clearly can't listen to patients, but maybe another doctor might finally get to them.
