THE CATS IN OUR LIVES
James Mason & Pamela Mason
1949
The Masons had lots of cats—nine by one reporter's count—and the book is a collection of anecdotes about their quirks and the inevitable pain that comes of losing beloved pets.

Once more in celebration of 100 years of Walt Disney Studios, watch my OCs haphazardly helm the Nautilus that was made famous in 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea (1954)!
P.S. They're not cut out for the job, lol.
(From left to right: Ștefan, Toulouse, Floortje)
*Artwork of my characters was once again done by Scott W. (flipskip1)!

Salem’s Lot (1979) Salem's Lot (also known as Salem's Lot: The Movie, Salem's Lot: The Miniseries and Blood Thirst) is a 1979 American miniseries television adaptation of the 1975 horror novel of the same name by Stephen King. Directed by Tobe Hooper and starring David Soul and James Mason, the plot concerns a writer who returns to his hometown and discovers that its citizens are turning into vampires. Salem's Lot combines elements of the vampire film and haunted house subgenres of horror. Salem’s Lot (2004) Salem's Lot is a 2004 American two-part television miniseries which first aired on TNT on June 20 and ended its run on June 21, 2004. It is the second television adaptation of Stephen King's 1975 vampire novel of the same name and a remake to the first version. Although the novel and original miniseries were both set in the 1970s, this version updates the story to take place in the 2000s. The story is still set in a small Maine town, but the miniseries was actually shot on location at Creswick and Woodend, in Central Victoria, Australia. "...Unless some last minute happening changes the plans again, #VictorMature will play opposite #JudyGarland in #AStarIsBorn..." wrote columnist,-#LouellaParsons - August 1953 - (...but there were several "last minute happenings"....when the film was finally released, in 1954, it co-starred #JamesMason!;-)
...Mason and Garland would both be nominated for Oscars...and, ultimately, win Golden Globes for their well-matched and stellar performances! "The (Role) That Got Away"? ...perhaps...😉

FIRE OVER ENGLAND (1937)
youtube
FIRE OVER ENGLAND
1937
Fire Over England is a historic film directed by William K. Howard and written by Clemence Dane, based on the novel by AEW Mason (1936). The film is set during the reign of Queen Elizabeth I during English victory over the Spanish Armada.
The film stars Flora Robson as Queen Elizabeth I, Laurence Olivier, Vivien Leigh, and James Mason. This was the first time Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh appeared together on screen (they were a couple in real life). Leigh’s performance in this film helped convince David O. Selznick to cast her as Scarlett O’Hara in Gone with the Wind (1939).
The original title of the film was ‘Glorianna’, and was filmed at Denham Studios in England. They used a large water tank to film the Spanish Armada scene using model ships.
This was the first British film to premier in Los Angeles, the film gained positive reviews initially, however the film lacked historical accuracy. Today the film doesn’t rate as well with modern audiences this could be largely due to it being historical fiction as well as using many characters that didn’t exist in real life.
