Hi! My name is Elle Joy but you guys can call me Elle, I go by she/her! I have been the current champion of Neito league for two and a half years now and currently I live in Neito. I also make short trips to other regions, mostly to Kalos, Alola, Paldea and Galaria!

More about me

I grew up in a medium sized city called Kielo with my parents, little brother and our pokemon. My mum was the Nurse Joy and my dad the gym leader of Kielo. I got my starter when I was twelve and started my journey sometime after that, I didnt try to challenge the Neito league until I was fourteen though. I defeated the former champion when I was little over sixteen. I mostly train fairy and dragon types!

My main team

I have more pokemon than just ones on my main team, but when they arent with me my parents and brother take care of them!

Alia the Arcanine

Alia was my starter, I got her form a pokemon shelter that had gotten huge load of pokemon after big shiny breeding ring was closed down. Luckily Alia was one of the few growlithes that didnt have any big genetic problem, she sheds her fur more often than most Arcanines or Growlithes would but otherwise she's perfectly healty girl!

Amorcita the Florges

Amor was the first pokemon I caught on my own, she was just a tiny little Flabebe back then! The Flabebe line is native to Neito durning summers so she was quite easy to catch. Before she evolved into Florges her flower was this deep Pink color.

Fiia the Ninetales

Fiia is an Alolan Ninetales and has been in my family for little over 200 years. I got Fiia form my grandmas after I caught Amor and started to get draw to fairy types. We had a rough patch after I got her when she was still adjusting to a new trainer, and young one at that, but after that we got really attached to eachother and she is probably my most loyal pokemon!

Diesel the Sliggoo

Diesel is a funny guy, I actually caught him on accident when he was still a Goomy! We were at vacation in Kalos and I was supposed to catch a Dedenne but I stumpled upon this little ball of goo. I kind of panicked and caught him, but I havent regretted that decision after I let him out of his pokeball for the first time!

Cinderella The Appletun(Pumpkintun?)

So after Diesel, I got more curios of dragon types, I absolutely fell in love with Drampa but because of my current life style I cant keep one (once I settle down, who knows) however my uncle Ben was visiting Galaria durning that time and he happend to pass by a Farmer whose pumpkin field had attracted bunch of Applins to live in the, so he was adopting them out to loving homes. Appletuns resamble Drampa to some degree and tiny me was absolutely in love.

Barbie the Mimikyu

So I caught Barbie when I was visiting my grandmas for the last time before facing the elite four for the first time. While I was there I noticed that some of my clothes had went missing so the last time I was there I stayed up to see who was stealing them. Imagine my suprise when it was a tiny little Mimikyu. She seemed spooked at first, but after I gave her some more fabric she started following me around and basically caught herself with one of my pokeballs.

Random Lana headcanons.

Things she likes and loves, the little things about her and the in betweens.

Lana loves Disney and Pixar. Mostly leans to Pixar but anything Disney she will check out and watch. Her favorite movies are Toy Story 2 and the first Lilo and Stitch. She likes the Lilo and Stitch cartoon series too.

She also enjoys Pokemon. She hasn't played the games and might not enjoy it if she did and hasn't seen the anime but there are a few Pokemon she just likes so she goes crazy for any plush or toy of them. These are Growlithe and Evee.

She isn't crazy about reading, especially when she has too for school, ugh right? But there are a few book series she loves to read. Can't put down once she starts. These are the Judy Moody books, Junie B Jones, Ramona and Beezus. She's also growing to love goosebumps. Thanks, Mayson.

Lana loves arts and crafts. Glitter, glue, cutting and pasting, popsicle sticks, pom poms, googly eyes, crayons, markers, construction paper. All the things. She also likes to color and draw. From her own free handing on a blank sheet to a coloring book.

Lana likes to run and play outside with friends, they make up games together and can be occupied for hours. Kickball, sports games they’ve made up. She also likes board games like Candyland and , Snakes and Ladders

Video games are not her thing mainly since she hasn’t been exposed to them much but she would love Disney Dreamlight Valley

She is friends with Mayson and Cole, @embraced-chaos David and Jaymie. Marley and Aria are her friends too. She is very social and will strike up conversation with just about anyone so she is acquaintances with many of classmates.

Lana’s favorite food is apples. She doesn’t like biting in a whole apple but will eat as many slices as she can. She will eat anything with apples in it. She also likes chicken nuggets, and macaroni and cheese.

For drinks of course she enjoys apple juice and apple cider. She won’t turn down chocolate or strawberry milk either. She calls strawberry milk ‘Bunny Milk’ because of strawberry nesquick.

Her favorite color is purple but she loves pink as well. She wants anything with those colors. If she sees any toy, clothing, or food item with purple or pink she’s going to want it.

Lana isn’t the kind of kid typically that is super attached to any one stuffed animal or toy. She doesn’t tend to carry around a comfort object but when she doesn’t feel good she clings to a shark plush she got from the hospital when she broke her arm. Her favorite toy is a blue shark plushie and an old well loved teddy bear that’s missing an eye.

She isn't into dress up dolls or Barbies. Or dolls in general. But the dolls of Disney Princesses is always a want. The large dolls, not the small Barbie sized ones. 24 or 28 inch dolls are more her style.

Lana prefers bubble baths over anything else which has lead to problems as she was already prone too having issues so the soap and bubble certainly don’t help her with all the infections. But bubbles are fun darn it!

She keeps her bedroom rather tidy although there is usually some kind of mess on the floor from clothes to books to crafting supplies.

Lana likes school well enough, there’s things she really doesn’t like about it and other things she enjoys. She’s had some bad teachers and experiences such as when she broke her arm or she had her chair taken away but those were both last year. This school year has been going a lot better.

She likes clothing. Just in general. She doesn’t care about fashion but the clothes themselves are interesting. She wants just about every clothing item and style and will mix and match. She is down for just about any outfit. but there are a few that she leans more towards and that’s the more tom boyish styles. She is also most comfortable in leggings over anything else.

Lana doesn't know how to swim. She was never taught and never had much experience around large bodies of water either, so it hasn't been much of an issue. But she does want to learn. Cole is on a swim team and then Mayson and Cole often invite her to the pool in the summertime. She wants to do what her friends do. Of course any kid would want to do what their friends do but Lana, being younger than the boys, tries even harder to catch up and tag along.

If she finds a can of frosting and is left unattended Lana will eat icing by the spoonful or even have each messily scoop dug out with just her fingers. It is a mess that was the first time it happened but has slowly become a problem in whatever household she is living in.

Lana often forgets her jackets at school or at friend's houses. Which can sometimes lead to her not having a jacket on hand in the mornings when she has to get off to school

character development, team dynamics, and other shit that was handled badly in avengers endgame

So, here’s my biggest beef with endgame: the movie runs for 20 minutes with the characters we know, then time skips 5 years ahead and changes everyone unconvincingly so that you have to spend the remaining 2hr40m watching extremely different people, to whom you don’t have the same emotional attachment.

The five year time jump is an easy cop-out way for the directors to be like “no no see [weird OOC nonsense] happened bc they Changed,” but you, as the audience, are forced to just accept this without being shown how any of the characters got from point A to point B. For example:

Point A: Hawkeye loses his family. 

Point B: Rampage in Japan, for some reason. 

Point A: Thor is too late killing Thanos. 

Point B: A coping mechanism we’ve literally never seen from Thor before, even though he’s lost loved ones and failed a million times at this point. Him failing/losing literally everything and redeeming himself was the entire plot of Thor 1, but whatever. 

Point A: Tony still holds every grudge he accumulated in previous movies, lashes out at the whole team for collectively losing.

Point B: Tony settles down with Pepper for long enough to have and raise a child, even though he’s been pathologically unable to do that in every previous movie and always, immediately picks up a new project/finds a new problem.

But meanwhile, because they needed to have a bunch of blatant callbacks to previous movies to pander to the audience (up to and including characters shot-for-shot repeating their old lines) everybody ends up looking like a funhouse mirror version of themselves instead of a New Person. Because the main elements the writers needed to keep in order to not make everyone leave the theater are still there.

And in all of this, inexplicably, even though these people are all obviously traumatized by everything that’s happened and seemingly need to make sure the world is recovering OK, they mostly go their separate ways during the 5 years, without explanation. This is dumb for in-universe reasons but, more importantly, literally all anyone has ever wanted out of an avengers movie was uncomplicated team bonding & support systems being developed between these morons.

But we can’t even have that. Instead, the writers need to create half baked families for our heroes to fridge or risk fridging to show that they have Something to Lose or Lost Something, which itself is ridiculous when the team is right there. 

And it’s been nearly ten years since Civil War at the point in the timeline where most of the film runs, so don’t come at me with that. If real life moderate liberals can forgive George Bush in ten years after being presented with a Bigger Bad (yikes, by the way), Tony Stark can get over his friends not signing away their civil rights after coming face to face with a problem that the Accords would not, under any circumstances, have solved.

But wait, there’s more! 

Why no team bonding? Well I’ll tell you why. Joss Whedon (can’t believe I’m saying this) started us on that path with the end of a1, showing a version of the team that sets aside their differences and gets along at the end of the day, at least for long enough to save each other’s asses or share a meal when the dust settles.

-on the contrary the Russo bros just dusted everyone--

He fleshed this out in Age of Ultron by giving us some of the ONLY good scenes in a2: the team hanging out together and throwing parties in their down time.

But Joss also made a dangerous discovery. He paired Nat (at first, the only female avenger) off with Bruce for reasons that I will never be able to explain, and in doing that sent a shocking realization through the core of the marvel writing staff: if your big superhero team only has one girl on it, the fanbase is going to start pairing up the boys.

The thing is, the longer the team maintains a fun found-family dynamic, where they hang out like friends and share meals while not getting married to other people, the more it starts to look exactly like that.

Which Disney is terrified of, as we know. Can’t rake in the big bucks while pandering to the gays.  ignore all of the highly successful gay pandering out there-

So they do two things. (1) They start introducing avengers that have a good reason to keep their distance (Dr. Strange), so as to not make this even more blatant, and (2) they start introducing avengers who already have full fledged families (Ant-Man) and are therefore Proven Hetero for the audience.

Our buddy joss started this mess in a2 by giving Clint a secret family, ostensibly because he realized that everyone in the fanbase would be extremely confused why Natasha and Bruce would be together when Clint’s right there. But even the secret family didn’t feel real or convincing, because it came completely out of nowhere and - I cannot stress this enough - Hawkeye was still hanging out with the avengers 24/7 as far as we know at this time. He wasn’t going missing from group movies yet, and he was at the fun parties and hang-out scenes in a2. So his family ends up looking more like a weird 1950s closet cover set-up in a2, even though Clint is one of the few avengers that the fanbase actually likes to ship with women.

In Conclusion: The drop in quality of the Avengers Movies and compulsory heterosexuality share a direct relationship. The Russo Bros managed to write a movie that simultaneously (1) eviscerates everyone’s favorite characters (namely, all of them) but (2) panders just enough to the audience with catchphrases and nostalgic callbacks to prevent an uprising. Joss Whedon opened pandora’s box in 2015 when he wrote Hawkeye’s family into existence and smashed Bruce and Nat together like barbie dolls. I could have written a better movie in a cave with a box of scraps.

Movie Review: Sherlock Gnomes

It’s... not a bad movie. I mean, you’re generally getting what you signed up for.

If you liked the first and have some love for Sherlock Holmes, you’ll most likely enjoy this.

I did enjoy it, for the most part. But I don’t have any love for Sherlock Holmes, so that set my expectations predictably.

It’s a bit... bland, as in: Paint by numbers.

But then again, so was the first, technically. Though the first movie, for me, won from the characters, because they could go more wild with them and they did.

With Sherlock...? You can’t really go wild. You got the arrogant ass-hat detective and his much more likable side-kick who mostly gets treated badly by Sherlock. You know, the usual Holmes & Watson dynamic. Just... with gnomes.

I don’t like what they did with Irene Adler though.

She’s supposed to be this... great rival of Sherlock’s. This brilliant woman. And instead of actually making her his rival, she was completely reduced to scorned ex-lover. That was such a waste.

I also hate when sequels just... disappear characters without any explanation at all.

Where’s the flamingo? You know, the one without whom Gnomeo and Juliet literally wouldn’t be together? Just... nothing. Maybe he got thrown away, but we don’t even get a mention.

Same for Tybalt. Whose death - and resurrection - were kind of important points in the first movie. His death kick-started the whole Big Problem. But in the end of the movie, we see him glued back together. So. He got thrown out after all...?

If characters ~of importance~ are just written out without an explanation, that irritates me.

Now, my actual problem with this movie is how wildly OoC its protagonist is.

Juliet behaves like a dick for two thirds of the movie and it completely comes out of left field. This is nothing like how she had been portrayed in the first movie.

And instead of giving the main focus this movie to its titular character and having Gnomeo and Juliet be kind of the side-kicks, be a power-couple that is portrayed as working well together, the movie had to force additional drama by making those two fight for the most ridiculous reason.

That pissed me off mighty.

I actually enjoy healthy relationships on screen. It’d be nice if a sequel just... took the time to establish that after the first kiss, things went good. Instead, there always has to be drama. And not even realistic drama, but forced drama.

And, a personal note, I didn’t care much for Moriarty still being alive. I mean. I generally don’t care for Moriarty. I’m still waiting for a Sherlock adaptation that sells me on why the heck that is supposed to be a compelling villain, he is just so fucking annoying in any instance I’ve seen so far.

I’d have preferred for Watson to actually turn out to be the moustache twirling “Done with your shit, Sherlock” vilalin. It was painfully obvious that Watson was the one who did it all. And I’d have liked for the movie to have the balls to pull through with it, instead of the whole hugging-it-out thing in the end.

There is one major thing that’s really bothering me though. The world-building.

When writing a story, world-building is the most important element.

You gotta set rules for that world and establish them.

This series now officially became Toy Story, since Irene is a Barbie living in a ““doll”“ museum (quotation marks because... there are teddy bears and robots and various other toys in that museum?? Why not just make it a toy museum? Those exist, you know).

In the first movie, we had this little fish who couldn’t even swim. Because that was not in its traits. Now we have fucking solid stone gargoyles and they can fly. Solid stone.

And the way the ornaments work isn’t really clear either. As just mentioned, little fish. But the garden gnome who is one with his toilet bowl... can get up from it. And while many clothes, like the hats, are permanently attached to the figurines, Sherlock’s coat behaves like an actual coat and can wave in the wind and be flapped about, while additional things they hold in their hands can be handed over to other figurines.

Just... clearer rules. It’s not that hard. It’s actually basics when it comes to writing a story.

Either way, it was a good way to pass one and a half hours, I guess. It wasn’t overly disappointing, you really kind of do get what you’d expect from the Sherlock Holmes sequel to Gnomeo and Juliet.

Johnny Depp as Sherlock is just really very distracting...

For most of Bretman’s life, he was always attracted to more dainty things in life. Dainty meaning girls products, from early childhood with Barbie’s and glitter, to his teenage years with makeup and crop tops.  It had always been who he was, even if his family didn’t realize it sooner. Since the first moment Bret had discovered what a cuss word was, Bretman has had a awfully smart mouth; both sexually and on a normal day to day basis. But that never altered how kind he was to people, always giving and loving whenever he could. He is a big family person and grows attached to others easily as friends and looks for close relationships on both serious and non serious terms. He is also very comfortable with his body and doesn’t mind showing it off. Which goes hand and hand with how sexual he actually is.

Tell us about how you like to rp - Most of the time, I do action and Para,but always in third person POV. I also mirror reply based on what you give me, and I will always try to match length. I like both sexual, and normal plots; I have no real picky answer for that. And also depending on what we are talking about, I could usually write 2 paragraphs or 3, but most of the time 2 or 1, like I said, depending on the situation.
