minjun had tried several times over the past few months. he had watched seyoon either avoid him or look at him with the same anxious expression that suddenly turned into something that could easily be translated as sorrow. minjun often thought something had happened between seyoon and someone closer to him, but that thought alone was enough to make him frustrated and unfocused.

when the Fall Boys project was launched and the two were booked, Minjun thought it was the perfect opportunity to set the record straight as they would be forced to work together. He had seen the coaches approach Seyoon and expect him to work more on his rapping skills, and since Minjun needed to work on his performance, it seemed like the perfect opportunity for them to reconnect.

it was outside of their normal practice times when Minjun entered the practice room after staying out for 45 seconds and heard Seyoon practicing his rap lines for “hear me out” and overheard his frustration. “it will not work if you do it like this, hyung.” he said bluntly, closing the door with a loud noise to make himself heard and also to scare the older man - he'd been acting like this far too often in the last few weeks, so why not have some fun with it?

“I’ll open the song, you must be at least as good as me," he forced an arrogant tone into his voice, something that was so unlike him, but he hoped it worked in their favor.

TRAINEE MISSIONS 016 ♥ INTERVIEW SOLO

“woah... I didn't realize how much I had missed the country side.”

jaekyung sighs as she sits down, hands tugged beneath her thighs as she looks around the room before her gaze lands on the camera and the staff interviewing her. it's been an eventful day so far and now that she settles down and lets the reflection begin, a content yet nostalgic smile stretches over her lips.

"I didn't realize how much I had missed the country side. today was an amazing day. the villagers are so nice, they remind me of home," she explains, letting the smile remain on her lips as she continues on excitedly. "when I heard we'd be cleared to join this variety program alongside the activities for lgc girls japan I was beyond happy. I enjoy programs like these a lot and to be in... well to be in my element like this is just a big added plus!"

with a laugh she tugs a strand of hair behind her ear that had come loose from the ponytail she'd tied them into out of convenience earlier. "it's been only one day but I already met so many wonderful girls I didn't get the chance to really talk to before. in particular gaeun and lili! helping lili figure out the best way to clean the chicken coops made me giggle," she admits, recalling the activity with a grin.

"tasks like these can be an acquired taste for someone who grew up in the city. I'm so used to the task and the smell cause I grew up with both but I also just learned all the tricks how to deal with them in the most efficient way. I'm glad I can use my knowledge to make things easier for the other girls," she continues to narrates, seeing in the staff's face that she was apparently already giving all the answers to the questions they had prepared to ask her. in turn jaekyung just smiled wider, realizing that all her training and past experience was paying off, allowing her to develop a better sense for these type of activities.

they truly mean it when they say you notice your progress in the most unexpected ways.

"I can't wait for the rest of the weekend to unfold. i'm looking forward to what challenge we'll be facing tomorrow!"

and the crowd, goes wild.

he hates how cliche that sounds, and yet, between day one, and two, he can feel the way he almost wants to throw up with nervousness about the whole thing. going out of course, was one thing, but... this was their first performance really, together as a group who would officially debut and be one. it wouldn't be long before they would be watching groups, under them, performing songs made by them, performing with them? watching fans have lightsticks and simply be in aw of the fact that they were in front of them in the first place. he's not naive; this is of course, what the whole goal was, but as he sat in chair, nervousness is lacing his features, dark eyes looking in the mirror as the stylist is finishing up. they couldn't watch their seniors of course, prior to intermission. now it was the time to stretch, get ready, and likely pinch himself too at this being real.

it's not his first famcon, or even his second-- he's been around a few times to know the general drill... or at least he had been. before, he had been a trainee, technically, wide eyed and in a world that seemed much too big for him. now, he was on the other side of the coin; not as trainee, jasper, but as mzsd's member, jazz.

how bloody bizarre was that?

he goes over his steps, again. and then again. it seems silly, but he's practicing his facial expressions in the mirror even-- not wanting to seem too overdone, but he had to ensure he was prepared in the same frame.. he wasn't just counting on himself-- not anymore. he had a whole group of seven others who were relying on him to get his shite together and make sure he was doing his best.

that felt better than anything he could have imagined, despite how his stomach is flipping at the same time.

this was really happening was it? a debut, a group, he was apart of, following in the footsteps of the first group he had ever listened to, when he realized he wanted to start down this path in the first place. it's enough to make his eyes misty, but he had make up on-- no time for that.

when they step on the stage, darkness surrounding them far after the screen had gone done, there's a sort of electricity that he can't help but feeling. not only between the audience, excited to see who was next, but the members, too. he offers a playful nudge to haneul - eden - and he couldn't help the shit eating grin that was forming on his features.

when the music starts for back down, he catches the light of the camera, a brow cocked.

"yeah.... bring it on. yeah. yeah!"

he's not sure anything else has ever felt so right.

he'd prove everyone wrong. his mother, his family that doubted him. maybe even himself. this was what he was meant to do. the way his heart swells only proves it.

being shipped off to the countryside for this variety program was a blessing in disguise for jaekyung. while she suspected them to be doing things obviously, she was just thankful for the change in atmosphere that almost made her feel as if she was back home. taking a break from work while still working was a paradigm in itself but having all your coworkers AND your family ( her sister ) around just made the female giggle internally.

to be told to perform was no issue to jaekyung. just as she was looking around to see who she'd tackle for a performance, she saw emi approach and easily deemed that would just be whom she'd choose to perform with! "sure," she assures the younger, an easy arm around her shoulder as she squishes the younger to her side. she still held onto the belief that the only reason she didn't poison anyone during the cooking episode of lgc girls' variety show was due to emi giving her subtle directions.

“i think crunchyroll might be rank for one for that,” he admits with a chuckle, outing himself as the vivid anime fan he is. “then kkt as the obvious second but also whatsapp for pals from overseas. what else is there....” he scrolls through his phone, humming in thought. “oh- spotify for sure! can’t forget that one. i got a couple playlists that I shuffle through depending on the occasion and mood. as for the last one... probably cookierun kingdom. my brother kind of got me into that one,” he admits while waving his phone. “hollyberry cookie is just the best.”

what is the most random note in the notes app?

“not to be boring but I keep my notes pretty organized actually. there isn’t a random note that I forgot why it existed or why it’s there. I mainly use the notes app to write poems or grocery lists that jinseo gives me. or gift ideas for people who’s birthday is coming up. things I’d like to get jaehwa but she won’t allow me to buy for her...,” he pouts a little, scrolling down the page. “i wasn’t able to really spend our 500 days anniversary together nor her birthday so I just want to get her something really nice... but I know she’ll hit me if I spend too much money-”

“last message was... from domi! he replied to the picture I sent him. i like to take pictures with my phone when I travel and he gives me the best reactions to them, heh. as for call...,” he moves to his phone app and purses his lips. “my mother. asking me when I’ll arrive for chuseok and if I’m bringing a plus one. i did ask jaehwa if she wanted to come but I’m a bit worried they will try to pick her apart. if they only dare to say a bad word to her I’m taking her back home right away, no matter how jinseo wants me to be civil.”

jaekyung never saw herself a mentor. she liked sharing her knowledge and she was blunt with her opinions because she knew that nothing could help people better than the harsh truth to get past their personal boundaries and grown above and beyond expectation. at the end of the day- she still saw herself simple as an honest soul. coaching wasn't in her bones. she just shared her opinion and gave pointers on how to improve.

so when minki approached her during one of the days she was actually in korea instead of traveling around all of japan with the rest of lgc girls, jaekyung thought he was simply asking for another pointer.

"uh- yeah. what- you got another vocal assignment that needs judgement?" her tone is jesting but kind as she sinks herself further into her jacket. "I don't have any plans beyond catching up on dramas and consuming way too many instant noodles."

the holiday of love: valentines. ah why of course max enjoys giving chocolates to those around him. the prospect of receiving anonymous gifts in return has him delighted. while it’s a common thing to occur every year around this season, it’s never any less exciting for him. so he sets forth to shower some folks in appreciation: both that he finds ridiculously attractive himself and just random people that seem in need of a small pick me up. all he knows is that he has to be sneaky- well he tried his best despite stumbling over one or the other gym bag on his way out.

byungho will admit that receiving the chocolate made him unusually more happy. for someone who had always received chocolate growing up you would think that one would be used to it by now. but that wasn’t the case in fact, being loved and adored by his older sister made him feel uneasy when he didn’t get stuff from people. so thankfully lgc had this event happening to keep him sane.
