Love Thy Neighbour
Chapter 3
With lunch eaten, it was back to The Sister House for Amelia and Scout. The movers were prompt and arrived on time. While the youngster enjoyed an unusual whole afternoon of Play Station, Amelia was kept busy directing the placement of her furniture throughout the rooms.
She loved this house. Always had done. Derek, her late brother, had re-modelled the house for Meredith and for the family that the couple had hoped to have together. With his own hands, he had crafted it into an ideal family home and no matter where she stood within it, Amelia could feel Derek’s presence. He was in the walls, floors, fixtures, and fittings that surrounded her, something that brought her a sense of peace and calmness.
Also, the house had always been Amelia’s safe and happy place. On her arrival in Seattle from Los Angeles, Amelia had been a mess. Grieving the loss of her fiancé James and their son, Christopher, she’d been a shambling mess, struggling with her addictions to OxyContin and booze. Eager to help, Mer and Derek had offered her not just a room, but a home and it had been in this home where she had learned to be sober, achieving a new normal for herself.
Plus, it was where she had raised Scout for the first three years of his life. He had taken his first wobbly steps in the living room of this house. He’d spoken his first words there too. Marks indicating his height, and those of his cousins, could still be found on the wall of the kitchen.
With so much of their history here, having the house fall into the hands of strangers, who would never fully appreciate it, was not something that she could live with. So, when Meredith had told her about wanting to sell it, she’d agreed a price with her adopted sister and bought the sentimental pile of bricks herself. Then, before she knew it, Amelia and Scout were going home.
Standing looking at her small sofa, she wondered if she would ever be able to fill up its large spaces. Her pieces of furniture were few in number, coming as she was from a small apartment. In places, they were too small for the much larger spaces they would now be occupying, meaning that they would need to be replaced in due course. Remembering how the house was before her life was turned on it’s head, Amelia feared that she’d ever be able to replicate its homely, lived in atmosphere.
Never in the houses history had so few people lived in there. It had always been a collection point for Grey-Sloan’s waifs and strays. At some point, almost all of the hospitals interns and residents had lived there. The trend had begun with Mer, Alex, George, Izzie and Christina and had ended with the most recent crop of residents. Even then, Shepherd blood had been present here. Her nephew, Lucas had only moved out, having taken up an oncology fellowship in New York, alongside his new bride, Simone.
Amelia didn’t feel inclined to open the house up like that again. Living alone had been an awakening for her. Living with other people, she’d never had to learn how to fully care for herself. For example, up until three years ago, she famously hadn’t been able to cook. Meredith and Maggie had always prepared her meals or she ate in the hospitals canteen or she’d grabbed herself a takeaway. Even when she’d first moved into the apartment, Maggie had batched cooked enough to see her through the week.
Living alone had also forced Amelia to take responsibility for her own mental health and addiction management. She’d had to learn to be able to identify early warning signs that she was entering a spiral. Spiralling was a one way street back to rehab and with her key support figures no longer on her immediate doorstep, she couldn’t afford to let herself slip.
So she’d gotten herself a good therapist, attended regular AA and NA meetings, enrolled in a cookery course, and had thus started the process of taking control of her life. With a lot of hard work, she’d learned to become self-sufficient. For the first time in her life, she hadn’t needed to rely on anyone and it was a pretty good feeling. It was also safe. If you could do it all by yourself, then you didn’t need anyone or anything. It was a neat way to ensure that she couldn’t be hurt anymore.
With the furniture sorted, Amelia realised that it had been hot and thirsty work. She plucked chilled bottles of ginger ale from the cooler box she’d packed, knowing the fridge would be empty in the sister house. The movers gratefully accepted the cold drinks, along with a generous tip as they prepared to leave. Having waved them off, she flopped down on her compact sofa, next to Scout. She watched him play his game for a few minutes before gently but firmly insisting it was time for him to shut it down.
“Let’s get some fresh air. How about a picnic in the garden?” she suggested.
He didn’t look convinced. “Picnics are for babies. I’m a big boy now, Mom.”
She chuckled at this. “You’ll always be my baby, squish”, she thought.
“You are getting big. If you keep growing so fast, I may have to stack some of my big, fat, heavy textbooks on your head. That ought to do the trick.”
Scout looked at his Mom sternly but when he saw her laughing, he gave in and laughed too. He loved her to bits, even if she made really bad Mom jokes sometimes.
“So what about that picnic? You must be hungry?”
He couldn’t disagree and so they set up a blanket on the ground in a shady spot in the yard. It was near where the old swing had been, the one where Kai had left her the first time, after telling her that they didn’t want what she had – a child.
“No, no, no, Shepherd. Stay in the present. Going back there will only hurt you”, she thought.
Putting her focus back on her current reality, Amelia set about pouring a cool drink for Scout and then offering him a paper plate of salad, cold meat, and bread. After she’d prepared her own plate, they’d gotten comfy and told each other jokes as they ate. Peals of laughter filled the air, causing a blackbird that had been perching on the fence to become startled and take to flight. It was a wholesome, heart-warming scene, one that Amelia wished she didn’t have bring to an end. But, with work still to be done, she had no option but to do so.
Together, which really meant her working with Scout watching, Amelia got their beds made and unpacked some essentials such as clothes, underwear, and toiletries, along with towels and Scout’s green frog plushie. Link had bought it when he’d first learned that she was pregnant and it had always been Scout’s favourite toy. He couldn’t sleep without his battered old froggy tucked safely under his arm. Next, she ordered a home delivery of groceries and when it arrived, she put it away. After, she made an executive decision that that was enough for today. Everything else could wait until tomorrow.
She made a simple pasta meal for dinner, before getting Scout showered and ready for bed. They watched a movie on her laptop before Scout went up to bed. With his teeth brushed, she tucked him in and kissed him goodnight.
After cleaning up the kitchen, she made sure the house was safely locked up before heading upstairs herself. She took a long, cool shower, and put on her pyjamas. After looking in on Scout, who was out cold and snoring softly, she got into her bed and was soon enjoying her first nights sleep in her new-old home.

Re-watching Grey's Anatomy and I'm on season 3 and the episode 7 "Where the Boys Are" is the first moment, I think, where we start to see the good parts about Mark with the case of the patient Donna and how he deals with the issue and what he explains to Meredith.
Mark is not just a genious and arrogant surgeon, he's also a doctor that cares about his pacients and does every thing he can to give them a better life.
I want to discover and talk more about the good and vulnerable parts of Dr. Sloan.

McBrendon
Second Person
Brendon x Female Reader
Unspecified Era
Smut Oneshot
NC-17
3.2k Words
Warnings in order of appearance: RPF, language throughout, not pre-discussed roleplay scene, medical roleplay and language, sex
Author's Notes:
So, basically, I was re-watching Grey's Anatomy, and I was like, "What if Brendon was here?" and then this was born. I have no idea if someone who's never watched Grey's Anatomy would understand or appreciate this, but basically what I think you need to know is that Derek Shepherd and Mark Sloan are sexy manwhores (in the earier seasons), and a common recurring joke in the earlier seasons of the show is putting "Mc" in front of adjectives to describe love interests. The fic is supposed to be more silly than sexy, but maybe it's sexy too, I don't really know.
"Wait, what about those two?" He asks, and you sigh exasperatedly.
"Brendon, just assume that all of the doctors on the Doctor Sex Show have slept together. That's the whole point."
He groans and slumps back in his chair, "Remind me why we have to watch this overdramatic doctor smut in the theater? The theater should be a sacred space for Disney movies or action movies with boobies and explosions, not 'ohhhh does McCreamy only like Natalie because she hooked up with Appendectomy?.'"
"It's my week on laundry duty, and whoever's folding laundry gets to watch whatever they want wherever they want. That's the rules, but you can go watch something in the living room or on your computer or on your phone if you don't like it," you offer, trying to get rid of him. You love Brendon, you love him so much, but sometimes you need to sit in the dark and fold laundry with no other noises except your soapy little doctor show.
"Fine. The men of the house are going to go watch something manly, don't bother us. Come on, Bogart!"
Brendon's little Jack Russell turns to look at you as if asking to stay, but you pat his back and send him off to go snuggle with his dad. You don't think you could handle Brendon's betrayed gasps if you let Bogart finish the episode with you. You and Penny will be fine ogling at Patrick Dempsey while file-folding Brendon's 68 pairs of gray and black sweatpants alone. Brendon kisses your cheek before he leaves. "Have fun with the boobs and explosions, babe," you tell him on his way out of the room.
"Oh, you know I will!"
•••
Two weeks later, it's your turn to fold laundry again, and you're back to watching Grey's, this time in the living room. The dogs are sitting next to you, eyes glued to the screen. Brendon's also in the room, bitching about "introducing this drivel into our home," but you're ignoring him because you don't need that kind of negativity in your life.
He finally quiets down, and you appreciate the five minutes of peace. Until… "Are you unsatisfied with our sex life?" He asks out of the blue.
You're taken completely aback for a second before you scramble to pause the tv. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, what? Where did this come from?" you ask him. What the fuck? Is he unsatisfied with your sex life?
"Well, we haven't had sex in weeks practically." Three days actually. It's been three days, but you don't interrupt him. "And you keep watching this sexy doctor show, so I don't know, maybe you're feeling like a bored housewife," Brendon explains.
You laugh at him, and he looks offended. "You're overthinking it, baby boy. It's just a show! Sure, the sexual tension between the entire hospital and Mark Sloan is spicy and exciting, but I'm not trying to compensate for anything lacking in my life. If anything, all that spice just translates into better sex for both of us. Okay?"
He looks very skeptical. "Hm, sure. I totally believe you."
You don't necessarily think you properly got your point across to him, but Meredith just made another bad decision, and you need to see how it pans out. "Okay, great, now go watch a manly show with Bogs in our room if you're going to keep whining."
Brendon does not, in fact, go into your room to watch a manly show on his laptop. Instead, he and Bogart start watching season 1 of Grey's Anatomy, immediately getting highly invested in the lives of the ambitious-yet-messy surgical interns. He's trying to figure out what exactly appeals to you about the show.
•••
It's his turn to fold the clothes, and he's doing it wrong, but you're resisting the urge to do it for him because you're a feminist, damnit. He's still letting you watch Grey's Anatomy because he's a doll (and you don't know this, but he's also become a bit of a fan.)
"Do you think I'm more a Mark Sloan or a Derek Shepherd?" He asks.
You scoff, "You're a George."
"I am not! I'm way sexier than George!"
"You're just jealous because I'm an Addison."
"Pshh, you're a Bailey. You wanna know how I know?" He asks.
"Fine. Tell me." You give in.
"You desperately want to correct my laundry technique."
•••
"Meet me in the on-call room in five," Brendon whispers against the back of your neck while you're drying the dishes from dinner. What is this man doing? "Meet you where?" You ask, but he's already walked away. You're not sure whether to actually wait the five minutes or just try to go find him.
You give him three minutes before going to the bedroom. You honestly don't know what you were expecting, but it wasn't Brendon laying on his side in the middle of your bed, shirtless under a white coat. He has on a pair of navy blue scrub pants that aren't particularly flattering, but they still look nice on him.
"Explain to me what's happening here, homie," you tell him.
"I'm being sexy for you! So sexy! I'm Dr. Brendon "McKinky" Urie, I'm a general surgery attending, but my real specialty is pleasure."
You visibly cringe for him. "You're a McDoofus, and your real specialty is probably malpractice."
He pouts. "Play along. Come on. Please? Be Dr. Y/N Sexy."
You roll your eyes. "Why do you get your real last name, but I'm Dr. Sexy?"
"Because we're not married in this fantasy! We're both cheating on our spouses but not in a tragic way, in a sexy way! Come on! Let yourself have fun," he pleads.
You feel yourself start to cave. "Fine, I'll play along, but I'm stopping this the minute I feel weird, okay?"
"Of course. And, babe, if you don't want to do this, you absolutely do not have to," he says, serious now.
"No, no, Brendon. I'm down for this. I think you're a total goof for doing it, but I trust you."
He brightens, "Great! Now it's time for your examination." He waggles his eyebrows, climbing off the bed and gesturing for you to take his place.
"Exam? Am I a patient? Why am I in the on-call room if I'm a patient?" You ask.
"Doctors need exams too, y'know. We're both doctors, but I don't know, you need a routine exam for like moles or something. Take your clothes off." He says, and you take a split-second to be grateful that Brendon got discovered for his musical talents and will therefore never be an actual doctor.
You stifle back your laughter and strip down to your underwear, lying on your back on top of the white sheet he put over the comforter to protect the bed from any potential messes. He stands over you next to the bed, and you're happy that you at least get to stare at his body during this little experiment. The whole "doctor" thing may not be driving you wild on its own, but your half-naked husband always will.
"Thank you for coming to this appointment, Dr. Y/N Sexy," he says. Don't laugh, don't laugh, don't laugh, you chant in your head. "First," he says, making his voice husky, "I need to test your reflexes." Something tells you he won't be using one of those little hammers. He bends down and breathes against your neck. You shiver, and goosebumps appear on your arms. You're glad you wore your front clasp bra when he unclips it and has immediate access to your breasts. He circles around your nipple with his finger, and they harden quickly. "Mmm, good reflexes indeed. Very responsive," he purrs. "I don't think your test results are conclusive yet. You should keep going," you encourage. He rubs your scalp, and your head rolls back. You're worried that you'll start drooling.
Brendon smirks at you a little, and his smugness is slightly infuriating. Yes, you like him touching you, but that hardly proves that his weird roleplaying was a good idea. "Just like I observed, fantastic reflexes. But I now must move on to the chest exam." He rests his head on your chest, and you're beginning to suspect that this whole thing was just a ploy to touch your boobs a lot. "Is your heart rate always this fast or just when your hot coworker is touching you?"
"Normally only my husband, also named Brendon… for some reason, can get me so worked up, but now I'm thinking of leaving him for you, McCrinkly."
"It's McKinky, and your husband sounds gorgeous and super smart. You should keep him around," he says, climbing onto you and groping your breasts. "In my professional opinion, these are nice tits."
You have to bite your lip to resist the urge to laugh again. You wouldn't quite say you're aroused, but you are having fun at least. "Okay, okay, doc. Enough of the preliminary exam; I need five and a half inches, stat."
"You couldn't round up to six while we're playing!?"
"Oh, come on, you're lucky I rounded up to five and a half!"
"Rude! So rude!"
You kiss him to shut him up. "Sorry, baby, I won't bully you anymore. Now, how about a cervical exam?" You suggest, craving his thickness inside you.
That cheers him up. Brendon resumes his doctor roleplay. "First, let me complete the dermatological examination. If you could remove your undergarments, please."
You throw your bra on the floor and take off your underwear.
He admires the small amount of newly-exposed skin. "So many marks on your breasts and pubic region. Did your hot husband leave these too, or should I investigate for a skin condition?" He asks, ducking between your thighs to add some more.
"Yeah, he left them there. My sexy husband is kind of the best, but enough about him," you say.
New dark spots pop up after he finally moves his mouth from the sensitive skin of your thighs. "Oops, I think I just burst a couple of capillaries."
Well, someone did some light googling. "Do you think I'll make it?" You ask, faking drama.
"Yes, but you'll need someone to pay lots of attention to the area between your thighs."
He never mastered the art of subtly, did he? "I don't think that will be an issue. My husband will be thrilled."
"Great, that's taken care of. Shall we commence with the cervical exam then?" He asks, rolling off you to tug off his scrubs and underwear. He keeps his dumb coat on, which is more goofy than sexy without clothes underneath, but you don't tell him that. "And we can test your motor skills at the same time. Hands and knees, please."
You obey, and he moves behind you to enter you. He pushes into you quickly and hard, just like you like it. "God, there's so much blood in my, hm, um corpus cavernosum… I think," he says.
"Your what? Are you trying to cast a Harry Potter spell? because that's a whole different roleplay," You crane your neck back to see him, and your eyes widen. "Brendon, are you," you need to pause to choke back your laughter, "are you reading from a flashcard? While inside me?"
He's on his knees behind you, squinting at a white notecard. He flips the card over and reads from it, "the corpus cavernosum is, um, the main erectile tissue in the genitals. So, uh, I was trying to say that I'm hard for you."
That's it, you can't contain your laughter. You can't even bear to look at Brendon without cracking up. Tears are streaming down your face. He hisses, and you think it's because you've upset him, but you turn back to look at him, and he's biting his lip, his head tilted back.
"Are you good, B?" You ask, a little worried.
He's breathing hard. "Yeah, just your laughing caused contractions around my cock, and I was not prepared. Felt good, just unexpected." He pulls almost all the way out and then jerks back in, not quite slamming but gearing up to it.
"Faster, please. Careful still, but faster," you request.
He speeds up perfectly, finally filling you up and relieving the ache inside you. You relish each time his hips meet your body, feeling close to him, even if the position isn't as intimate as he usually likes. You suppose successful Dr. Kinky, notorious womanizer, wouldn't necessarily want to make loving, passionate eye contact with all of his conquests.
"So, Dr. Kinky-"
"No, it's doctor Urie, McKinky."
Jesus, you need a script. "So, Dr. Urie, do you have enough energy after all those lobotomies or whatever to rub a girl's clit? I bet my husband, the other Brendon, would touch me."
"Well, I would never even bother to compete with such a stellar man, but I can still try to get you off." His hands move between your thighs to touch your cunt. "Oh no, so much excess fluid here. I hope nothing's wrong." He puts a finger on your throbbing clit and feigns a sigh of relief, "Good, I've found a pulse." His touch is feather-light as he slowly strokes you. The contrast between his fast, hard thrusts and delicate strokes somehow enhances both of his actions.
"Oh, that's nice," you moan.
"You mind if I have you roll over? I still have to test your flexibility, and I'd love to do that with your legs on my shoulders."
"Fuck yeah."
He pulls out, and you get on your back; he gets you ready by situating the pillows underneath you. You rest a leg on either shoulder, and he thrusts in again. You don't want to admit it to him, but you feel like you'll need to come soon. The spikes of pleasure pulsing between your legs have been getting stronger and closer together, and now that you can see what you do to him, rather than just hearing his occasional grunts, you feel even closer to crossing that finish line.
"I'm observing some rapid contractions, Sexy. Should I note in your chart how close you are to coming all over me? Because it seems to me that you're failing your stamina and endurance evaluation," Dr. Urie teases.
You close your eyes to try to eliminate a source of the arousal, but you still feel painfully close to the edge.
Brendon inadvertently shifts a bit, and that does it. Your arousal peaks intensely, and you try to restrain your reactions on the off chance he doesn't notice. However, you're pretty sure he does notice your orgasm when his movements slow to a stop, and that's confirmed when he outright says it. "You just came," he states. It's not a question.
You nod, not bothering to deny it.
He pulls out, and you finally get to see his still-hard cock soaked with your wetness. "Well I suppose, we can run… further tests to reach a full diagnosis," he practically croons, pulling his scrub pants back on, and a wave of lust spreads from your stomach. Fine, the doctor thing is a little hot. "It's up to you though, I defer to your professional opinion."
"I think my exam is complete, actually, but I know you've been complaining of some pain in this region," you give his crotch a quick squeeze. "Do you mind stripping so I can investigate?"
He immediately takes off his coat, obviously excited, and gives it to you, so you put it on. "So, can you describe the pain?" You ask, putting a hand on his thigh.
"Kind of an ache, I guess?"
You squeeze his thigh, "And you'd say the pain is mainly here?"
"No, uh, um, to the right."
You squeeze his other thigh, "Oh, I see, right here?"
"No, not, um, my thigh."
"Sorry, I understand." You lay your hand flat on his stomach, still carefully avoiding his cock. "Your stomach must be hurting."
"Still not quite."
You clench your jaw in fake frustration. "Well, could you just show me where you need my attention, Doctor Urie?"
He shoves down his pants and grasps his leaking cock, groaning in relief when he starts to tentatively touch himself.
"Yes, very good, thank you. Would you say the ache subsides with stimulation?" You ask professionally.
Brendon nods and smirks a bit, "Yeah, you could say that."
"Well, I think you just need to achieve ejaculation," you diagnose.
"Is that, ah, covered under my insurance?" He asks cheekily, still jerking himself.
You laugh, going to dig the lubricant out, "Okay," you nudge his hand away, "leave this to the professionals." You pour the clear lube into your hand. "This may be a bit cold," you warn. He doesn't really need the lube, he's both leaking profusely and still slick from being inside you, but you want to keep up the "doctor vibes." You grasp him firmly and stroke quickly, trying to get him off as soon as you can. You kind of want to use your mouth, but you can't think of a good reason to within the roleplay. That's mostly fine, though, because you can tell he's about to come.
He comes all over your hand without warning a minute or so later. He shudders and groans, spurting twice more. You didn’t realize how worked up he was. Of course, you saw how hard he was, but to come this much from just jerking him off means he was really turned on. "Outstanding sperm production, sir," you say, crudely wiping him up with a tissue.
"Okay, no more doctor talk. My brain is too mushy," he groans.
You take off the coat and get into bed, cuddling against him. "If your brain is mushy, you probably should see a doctor."
He giggles. "So, would you do this again?"
You think for a second. "Well, I'd roleplay with you again, but you have to warn me next time. And probably not the doctor thing again. It was hot playing with you, but thinking about actual medical procedures is not my thing."
He yawns, "Noted about the warning you next time, and that's too bad. I was really looking forward to the oral exam. How big is your mouth? How's your swallow technique?" He says, half-jokingly.
"Hey, don't push it, or we're doing a prostate exam, and due to budget cuts to the hospital, we're going to be low on lubricant."
He cringes, "Point taken. I don't need a doctor roleplay; the next time I want a blowjob, I'll just ask."
You get out of bed and put on your pajamas. "Well, if it's in the next 45 minutes, your request is getting denied because Penny Lane, Bogart, and I are watching the real Grey's Anatomy in the theater while you're still too weak to complain about it. And this is a good time to tell you that my character is not actually a medical doctor. I have a PHD in film studies. I’m a fraud.”
His mouth drops open, "You're telling me that wasn't an official medical handjob?!"
"I trust that you'll get over this. Love you, babe."
He scowls but still mutters a quiet, “I love you too.”

Addison’s Return to Grey’s Anatomy
Tumblr media
Ever since it was announced last week that Addison would be returning for several episodes of Grey’s Anatomy I Was Stunned to say the least. I was so shocked when I found out that I simply had no words. No words to describe how unbelievable or amazed I felt when news was out that our favourite OBGYN would be coming back to Grey’s Anatomy After All This Time. Addison’s return really opens up so many doors when you think about it. I mean not only will she get the chance to reunite with any remaining characters during her previous time on the show like Richard, Bailey and Amelia, but she’ll get the chance to meet and work with the newer characters like Maggie, Winston, Link, Cormac etc
Aside from all the Greys characters I can’t wait to learn what her life has been like since the end of Private Practice along with her friends. How are Jake and Henry? Is the practice still open? How is everyone doing? I can’t wait to learn everything! It’s been almost 10 years since the end of Private Practice and no doubt a LOT has changed since then and I can’t wait to find out. Plus I’m curious about how they’re planning for her to return. How will Addison make her comeback to Grey’s Anatomy and be re-introduced to Grey Sloan Memorial Hospital, formerly Seattle Grace Mercy West. At first I was beyond surprised that Addison was coming back, but I realized that it’s actually not that surprising since if they managed to bring back Derek, Lexie, Mark and George all throughout last season and with Ellis also coming back then Addison’s return is a piece of cake!
There is so much more I can’t wait to see about her return for instance... her relationship with Amelia. They were so close during Private Practice, but since Amelia’s switched shows she has hardly mentioned her former life or her old friends which is surprising since she once said that she considered Addison more of a sister than any of her actual ones back then. Plus do they still keep in touch? I know that Addison was mentioned only once WAY back in season 11 after Amelia joined the cast, but since then Nothing so which begs the question... how are things between Addison and Amelia since they last saw each other?
Aside from Amelia there is one character I Can’t Wait for Addison to meet and that is Jo! With Jo switching over to OBGYN I Can’t wait to see them working together and I bet that Addison will make a great mentor during her return even if it will only be a couple of episodes. However, aside from being a mentor I’m REALLY curious if Alex will be mentioned. History is basically repeating itself. Addison was Alex’s first mentor, the person who introduced him to peds through OBGYN and now she is mentoring His Ex-Wife!!! This is bound to bring up a lot of stuff between both women which is something I Can’t Wait to See!!!
Finally, last but certainly Not Least is the reunion no doubt of lot of us are just DYING to see... the reunion between Addison and Meredith!!!! Back when they first met they were in a love triangle with Derek, but now that is long over and Meredith is no longer an intern or a resident, she is an attending and Addison’s equal. Both women are experts in their fields, have a lot of respect and they’re pretty much legends/superstars so I’m curious to see how these two strong women will be working together upon their reunion.
I’ve always wondered if this would ever happen. For instance whenever I pictured Addison making a special return I figured Meredith would be jealous or envious of Addison since she gets to raise her son, Henry with her husband, Jake who is still very much alive, but since Meredith is finally at peace with Derek’s passing I don’t think that will be a problem. I can’t wait to see how these two will define their professional and personal relationships now that there is no longer a man in their way. I know that they were never really friends to begin with, but I wonder if they can really put the past behind them and maybe become friends after all this time? Whatever happens this is a return any Grey’s Anatomy or Private Practice fans Will NOT Want To Miss!!!

Thoughts on Grey’s Anatomy: 17X10
SPOILERS AHEAD!!!
I loved this episode! It was so so good! I loved seeing Mark and Lexie on the beach encouraging Meredith to return. I knew Lexie was going to be back based on last week’s promo, but I literally screamed out loud twice when Mark appeared on screen! I was shocked! I like what Mark and Lexie said to Meredith about the sand not being real and that the beach was in Meredith’s head and was her happy place and that it wasn’t real. She was in control even if she didn’t feel like it. Seeing her lost loved ones comforts her in her time of need. When living people she loves come to talk to her she sees them because it’s comforting.
I have a theory about who we see and why. Since this episode establishes that the beach is in Meredith’s head and she can go back if she wants to I think DeLuca appearing on the beach and them getting closer and her watching him reunite with his mother was her brain’s interpretation of people coming into her room and telling her that DeLuca had been injured and needed surgery and that he was stable and then telling her that he wasn't and had died from his injuries.
She needed closure on a tumultuous relationship so her COVID wrecked brain gave it to her in the form of a peaceful COVID fever dream during a difficult team. She sees and hears Hayes because she’s falling for him the same way that he’s falling for her and because he’s talking about her kids who she loves. She wants to go back but she’s doesn’t know how. She sees Richard and Bailey and hears their concerns and how worried they are about her because Richard is like a father to her and Bailey is a maternal figure in her life.
She wants to go back and as George says to her if she doesn’t it will break Richard. She sees Derek because he’s the love of her life and he represents death and passing over which is a real possibility and option. His presence comforts her in a way that no one else’s can. She sees George because what he did and how he died changed her life and they never got to have that closure in life. She never got to tell him that, but in her fever dream she does. She gets that closure and gets to re-examine why she did what she did. Why she goes all out for everyone like he did.
Seeing Mark and Lexie gives her closure too. Lexie provides that joy and that sunny optimism Meredith used to hate but eventually grew to love and missed so much when she died. Mark provides laughter and gives her the matter of fact tough love that she needs to hear in her time of need. Everyone plays a part and brings us joy and closure in the process. I loved Mark’s lines about how sometimes he yells in everyone’s ears to try and get them to listen and see reason. How sometimes people listen to him and think it’s their own idea and sometimes they don’t. How Callie and Arizona’s divorce made him shout.
It made me think of all the times when Lexie and Mark and other characters probably shouted at the living characters for their stupidity. Meredith deciding to waste her time dating DeLuca? Lexie and Derek definitely yelled in her ears for that. Every stupid fight, divorce, break up, date, and bad decision the characters have made since Derek, Mark, Lexie, and George died? They’ve definitely screamed their ears off at them. We now know that George tries to shake the grief out of his mother and Mark and Lexie make a habit of yelling in the ears of their loved ones making horrible decisions. I love it!
There’s something so hilarious and reassuring about the dead who have left us yelling and shaking us from beyond the grave and us taking that as a sign or our own idea and moving forward and making better decisions. I loved seeing Meredith talk about Bailey’s birthday party with Lexie and how what he really wanted for his birthday was for all of them to laugh. That establishes that Bailey’s birthday is in March or April. Which again makes that gelato DeLuca comment from Episode 8 literally impossible because he couldn’t have brought Bailey gelato for his actual or half birthday when he and Meredith only dated for a few months and he only met her kids officially a few weeks before they broke up.
Hayes’ storyline with his sister-in-law Irene was everything! We learned more about her, got to see what her relationship with Hayes is like, and learned more about how his boys are handling everything. He got his own storyline and development. I love it! His tour of the hospital on the way to the OR was hilarious! “And that is a supply closet!” LOL! I loved how supportive Irene was of him moving on. She really wanted to meet Meredith this great General Surgeon he keeps talking about all the time to his boys to the point that she knows all about her and knows that Hayes is definitely smitten. I loved her line when Hayes told her she couldn’t meet Meredith because she was on a ventilator and she looked at him and said, “Again?”
The fact that she knows he likes her because of the way he smiles every time he talks about her to the point that the boys have picked up on it and told her? My heart! Irene really came through for us in this episode! Bless her! Hayes was so distraught this episode. I like that they really showed his process and how upset he was that Meredith was still on a vent and that Irene was sick. His pain when he talked to Jo about how he couldn’t bear to tell his boys that they had lost another person that they love whose been taking care of them was heart wrenching.
Irene is a total badass. The information we’ve gotten about her shows what a fiercely loyal and supportive person she is. Cormac and Abigail meet at the Surgical Innovation Conference in LA when Abigail is a starving artist and Cormac is early on in his medical career. His conversations with Meredith show that he’s unfamiliar with American medical terms and colloquialisms and he talks about growing up in Ireland and how every day is Pro Bono Surgery Day there. We know that after his wife died he took his boys and moved to Zurich, Switzerland where he worked for two years before moving to the U.S.A. to take the job in Seattle.
We also know that Irene was Abigail’s POA when she was sick and that prior to the pandemic she was back living in LA. All of which implies that sometime after Abigail and Cormac met she decided to move to Ireland to be with him and they got married and she gave birth to Liam and Austin while Hayes was a practising surgeon in Ireland. But that when Abigail got sick Irene gave up her life in LA to move to Ireland for several years to be her sister’s POA and support her nephews and brother-in-law.
Abigail ultimately died and following that Cormac took Liam and Austin and moved to Zurich at which point Irene moved back to LA where she was living during Season 16 when they went to visit her during the Conference Episode. When the COVID-19 Pandemic hit the U.S. Irene then insisted on moving to Seattle to care for Liam and Austin while Cormac worked at Grey Sloan. Cormac and Irene drive each other crazy and agree on nothing and her own sister called her crazy before she died and yet she picked up and moved her whole life across the Atlantic and then to a different state for them. That’s love. That’s badass. You keep doing you Irene!
The scenes with Jo and Catherine in the OR cracked me up! "Child, who throws away a kidney? Lord." Haha! I loved Jo’s reaction when Catherine brought up switching careers. At first, I was confused as to why Jo lied, but then my friend Amy who I watch with pointed out that maybe Jo doesn’t want her boss to know she’s considering switching specialties just yet. I’d honestly like to see Jo switch from General to Urology. As Catherine says there are few women in the field and there are a lot of general surgeons on this show.
Jo switching from one surgical specialty to another to find joy and challenge herself makes sense to me. Her switching from general surgery to OBGYN does not. I thought she was going to adopt that baby Luna but then she told Jackson and Link that she doesn’t want to have children now or maybe ever and their scene this episode was pretty short. I thought when she was considering switching to OBGYN that either Carina or Hayes would train her.
But they’ve moved Carina over to Station 19 so completely that her brother died on Grey’s Anatomy and we only saw her briefly at the end of Episode 8 when she attended her brother’s memorial. Prior to this episode I would have described Jo and Hayes as friends, but they were pretty adversarial this episode and at this point they seem to be two people that like each other well enough and who respect each other’s surgical skills and that’s it. So, based on this week’s episode Hayes definitely isn’t going to step up and train Jo in his specialty. They’re not close enough and he’s got enough on the go.
I loved the scene where Jo and Jackson were in bed together and Jo started talking about how scary his Mom was and he was like why are you talking about my Mom when we’re naked together? It reminded me of how April thought his Mom was the coolest and walked on water and would talk about it when they were together. Made me laugh! I love seeing Maggie innovate and find a way to help those poor patients and double the hospital’s ventilator capacity!
Seeing Richard dance it out at the news and then again when him and Owen successfully took Meredith off the vent and she began breathing on her own was glorious! Such joy! Winston’s proposal and Maggie’s acceptance of it surprised me! I like them together and want them to get their happy ending, but this feels a bit sudden likely brought on by all the stress they are experiencing.
I mean Amelia and Link have a child together and are also co-parenting Leo and Allison with Teddy and Owen and are raising a boatload of children during the pandemic and they’re not married or engaged.  It was nice that Teddy and Owen finally stopped fighting after half a season of nonsense! That was nice. I loved how Amelia stepped up and supported Teddy and told her what she needed to hear. Yeah therapy sucks sometimes. It can be uncomfortable. So are mammograms.
We still get them! You have to put in the work to get better otherwise it doesn’t happen. I like that they are showing us the process of Teddy getting better while making sure that the kids are looked after. Teddy is doing a bit better, but she’s still not well enough to be looking after Leo and Allison by herself without supervision and since Amelia is at home anyways she might as well help.
Plus, it’s probably good for Leo and Allison to play with Zola, Bailey, and Ellis. They’ve only seen Owen and his Mom for two months. I liked the moment where Teddy said that Ellis looked like Amelia and that they really are sisters. She’s Meredith’s daughter, but she’s clearly picked up some of Amelia’s mannerisms because Amelia’s helping to raise her. Which does happen. Also, she’s Derek’s daughter too and since Amelia and Derek are siblings and share a resemblance it makes sense that she might also share traits with Ellis. I like that we are learning more about Bailey and Ellis this season.
Seeing the joy on everyone’s faces, including Zola’s, when Owen came in and told everyone that they took Meredith off the vent and that she was breathing on her was palpable. Such a great moment! I loved the moment where Tom was holding a rosary praying for Meredith and Owen finally stopped being a jerk for five seconds to comfort him and tell him about his own experience with survivor’s guilt after coming back from Iraq after his entire platoon was killed.
I’d like to see them explore Tom’s relationship with faith more. Something else I loved? The texts from Cristina! Loved it! Owen was like I can read her charts myself and Cristina was like I don’t care take a picture! I love that we’ve seen Cristina through text messages the last two seasons. I really miss her. Also is anyone updating Alex? I feel like they are, but I would love to see them mention or show it on screen. Same with Callie and Arizona. I felt like Hayes was the obvious choice for keeping Cristina up to date but seeing as he has a lot going on this episode my guess is that she texted him and he didn’t respond because he was too busy worrying about Irene so she texted Owen and asked for an update.
Did anyone else feel like it was hypocritical for Owen to be so mad at Teddy for still being in love with Allison and not telling him about their relationship when he’s apparently been texting Cristina about Meredith’s condition and talking to Amelia regularly this whole time? He clearly still has feelings for both of them and they are still very much alive and in communication with him and he’s mad that Teddy didn’t tell him about a dead lover? Jerk.
I loved seeing Levi step up and step into his own as a doctor. He’s no longer the bumbling fool of seasons past. He’s got his crap together and he’s going to do what needs to be done to keep his patient alive and healthy. His song about hump day cracked me up! Link was so happy to be operating this episode LOL! His comment about the poop diaper explosion was something else. Seeing Richard’s anger and frustration and seeing him explain how he was feeling to Link felt raw and really expressed how we’re all feeling like now. The fact that being low on ventilators is a real problem that hospitals have been facing ever since the pandemic started is enraging! I hate that this is real.
I hate that real hospitals with real patients have to make these kinds of calls. Health care providers are real superheroes. I could never make a decision like that. How do you decide who lives and who dies? How do you decide who needs a ventilator most and live with the consequences for you and the patient? I couldn’t do it. I love that Meredith appears to be waking up in next week’s promo. My bet is that she’s going to reunite with Derek one last time and then wake up. I’m interested to see Richard fill her in on what’s being going on and to see Amelia and Link talk about the possibility of getting married at some point. Also, can we take a moment to appreciate shirtless Link? Hot!
Until next time!

Grey’s Anatomy season 16x18 review (I am so confused.)
This episode was resting in the middle of boring but with some huge plot twists involved.
Let’s start with the most confusing/biggest plot twist of the episode.
________________________________________________________________
Deluca
Finally had his break down, or did he? On one hand I did think that the girl was extremely nervous and looked at her aunt for every answer. I found that odd but as a person with anxiety I can understand having someone do it for you. But when he started talking about the trafficking thing I was shook, but then he started pushing his theory on everyone and re arranging a very lovely schedule to follow his theory of the girl being in a sex trafficking ring, and I was like Deluca has gone off, the moment with them circling him to detain him was so heartbreaking the look of confusion on his face and him begging them to believe him, and his sister Carina crying for him to calm down you could visibly see the concern and pain on her face and then Deluca finally went with the guards and quit his job only for Meredith to talk him out of it by promising to call the authorities to check out the case. (The ending though left me confused not only because they just let him walk out of the hospital after having a ‘mental breakdown’ but his theory was RIGHT??? now I really hope not because that would cause drama because not only would the hospital be in trouble for letting them leave but Deluca would thing that he’s fine and carry on the way he is. He may have been right but he is definitely having issues other wise. I really hop that some one helps him soon or we’re going to have a Deluca accident on our hands. (It has been a while since one of the more important characters has had an accident.
________________________________________________________________
Teddy/Owen/Koracick  (Thank God for small mercies that Amelia and Link were able to step out of that mess.)
First thing first, I’m so proud of Tom for turning Teddy down and telling her to go back to Owen he crushed me at the point when he said he’d be fine because it means he’ll be fine alone like he always is.(When are they going to let him into their club.) It’s for the best and my boy Tom though, so can move on to better things, there’s more fish in the sea honey. provided that he isn’t arrested for fraud. He told Teddy to go home to her fiance and kids and plan her wedding, You go Tom.
I do not know what is going on with Teddy, she really is shocking me, her anger with Amelia is unfounded in my opinion, It would have been different if she was single, but she was dating Link and in the end the person she was in the relationship should know first, and she was trying to get the situation under ,control and her knowing about Amelia’s paternity issue is not at fault for her cheating. The idea had to be in her head for a while and she just too the first excuse and ran with it.
Tom did her a favor telling her go to Owen. She has been in love with him and fought for him since the beginning, now that she has him she’s ruining it. But however this has to be the most serious and relatable love triangle we’ve seen on Grey’s, usually they’re flirty, sexual and immature but in this one you can see how torn Teddy is, she’s in love with Tom and how good he makes her feel but is in love, is engaged and has two kids with Owen, (who is actually being a pretty good partner for once in a relationship.) For the first time since the Derek/ Finn/ Meredith love triangle I’m interested in seeing what happens. In the end when she wanted to tell him the truth I actually felt sorry you could see the guilt and confliction on her face. She really in love with both men.
________________________________________________________________
Levi/ Nico
I think out of all of the things of Grey’s this one upset me the most. I don’t understand what happened. How did Nico do a whole 180 turn in like half a season. I loved their relationship. One of the only ones who had fun conversations instead of just arguing and sex, but now Nico has decided he wants that for them and not even the arguing just the sex. I would have never guessed he would have gotten like this he was so sweet. But nope he literally broke up with Levi because Levi wanted to be able to share his opinion in a relationship which is definitely an important part of any relationship. Then he applied for a job that he’s going to be away for at least 6 months a year and didn’t even think to discuss it with Levi. That’s crap a decision like that would affect the person you’re in a relationship with and you should at least discuss it with them even if you do still take the job. (I remember in season 8 Ben and Bailey had a similar problem when he applied to be a surgical intern an didn’t tell her and they had a conversation just like the one Levi and Nico needs to have.) Quite honestly right now their relationship is looking quite one sided an Helm was right. Levi deserves better. They basically broke up in this episode and I’m sad because I really was pulling for them.
Levi’s living arrangements were unexpected but I’m glad he’s leaving his mom’s basement and Nico’s apartment. It’s time for him to be more on his own, he needs to be able to stand up for himself instead of being the cute puppy who gets kicked around.
________________________________________________________________
Jo
My poor baby, she seems so confused and hurt right now. She sleeps on her couch instead of the bed and is just flat out depressed I feel so sorry for her and now that Link’s a dad and won’t be around as much as used to be and Deluca is out for sure right now so I guess her and Levi are going to be friends right now and I hope they are only going to be friends because they’re relationship was toxic from the beginning she used him and then treated him like crap (Still does from time to time.) Friends sure, because it really does look like he needs someone and right now so does she but nothing else. The scared me with Jackson asking her out to the game for a moment I thought they were going to be a thing but we dodged that bullet I guess. I hope she can find a last name as well because it hurt to see her trying to define herself. Looking forward to seeing what name she’s going to choose .
________________________________________________________________
Link/Amelia
Finally able to return to baby bliss. They are so adorable, and they better be end game. Amelia has had enough relationship problems. It’s time for her to get a break from the drama and have some peace. I’m just so happy she and Link are back together. He gave up his dream job for her and his baby and she was willing to make it work so he could pursue it. with some better communication I think they can be Grey’s second power couple (Fingers and toes crossed.)
________________________________________________________________
Jackson
Just broke up with Vic and so he has an extra ticket for a basket ball game, was blown off by Ben as well and offered it to almost everyone he saw but Koracick. I wanted him to end up having to ask him maybe he would notice that Tom isn’t actually a douche and Tom could actually have a friend (who is going to hurt him by having an affair with him and may go back to her fiance and kids) but as usual in order to paint him out as the worst person ever Jackson refused to ask him which leaves room for my wish that Bailey would be his person. Then he asked Dr Haynes, I wished that he had gone with him because he’s yet another doctor who’s outside the club and that would have been the perfect time to gain the acceptance. Him asking Richard thought was perfect, he needs some one right now and he was kind of like a father to Jackson so it’s good to see that they can still spend time together without Catherine.
Right now Jackson is just living his life carrying on the teachings of Mark Sloan.
(Where’s Harriet though? We haven’t seen her in 2 years, I know she’s with April But She doesn’t visit either)
_______________________________________________________________
Richard
Is on his way to sell his path’s pen seeing that he can’t do surgery anymore. I hope he gets through, at this point I feel like the chances of him getting back with Catherine is very slim, I’m glad to see that him and Maggie’s relationship is stronger than ever and Jackson took him out for the night and Bailey and Meredith will always be there for him So I hope that he knows that he has support and people who love him.
_______________________________________________________________
Meredith
Didn’t actually have much plot besides planning the event and then solving it. Her helping Deluca was good. I don’t think her getting back into something with him would be a good thing. I’ve been wondering if his illness was even what caused him to push into a relationship with her.
Either way she planned the surgeries, then had to save the surgeries by accepting Koracicks fraud money. (She wouldn’t be Meredith Grey if she didn’t tbh, anytime there’s a storm coming Meredith Grey is going to be in it.) Delt with some disgruntled patients, Spoke to Dr Haynes and saved some lies.
_______________________________________________________________
Bailey
Winning the Grey’s relationship game as usual, had to pull Deluca from attacking a patient and allowed him to leave alone after the meltdown and saved lives.
________________________________________________________________
Maggie
Spoke to Richard and that was about it, but her time is coming next week, based on the promo. (You get it hun.)
________________________________________________________________
Notes/ Questions
Was that girl really in a trafficking ring?????? (She had the hair like the woman, but that’s easy to fake but she also had a good cover story, and the girl ran to her when Deluca was having his melt down but the way that woman pulled her away at the end Idk. hope it isn’t bring confusion to Grey Sloan.
Is Deluca going to get the help he needs before he gets hurt or ends up in more problems?
Is Richard going to be ok? or is he going to have a relapse? Will he and Catherine get back together?
What’s going to happen to my baby Jo? And what will she call herself now?
Is Tom going to be in trouble? what he did was illegal even if for a good cause. And is Meredith going to be involved if he should go down? She did accept the money
Are Levi and Nico officially over? Will Nico take the job or choose Levi?
And last but not least What the hell is going to Happen to the Teddy/ Owen / Koracick triangle. Will she finally confess?

On Thursday, Grey’s Anatomy will do what few shows have done before, hitting the landmark 300th episode.
Hot off the immediate successes of Lost and Desperate Housewives, ABC launched the Ellen Pompeo-starring Grey’s Anatomy as a midseason replacement on March 27, 2005. Kicking off with decent numbers in its nine-episode first season, the Shonda Rhimes medical drama became a runaway hit by season 2, partially thanks to the post-Super Bowl episode that helped cement the show in the pop culture zeitgeist.
“It’s been pretty special,” says original cast member James Pickens Jr. “I’m in a fraternity that most actors will never get into, and that’s to be in one show for this long. Most actors will go their whole career and never experience 14 seasons. We’re lucky to get a job and go several episodes, but to have something that has gone this long and had the kind of impact it’s had with our fans, it’s been pretty amazing, it’s been a true blessing.”
It’s a blessing many in the cast didn’t think would ever happen. In fact, fellow original Chandra Wilson kept her day job into season 2. “I [had] done a sitcom for ABC in 2001 and it’s the whole, don’t put all your eggs in one basket scenario,” Wilson says. “I said bye to everybody, packed up, moved to L.A., came out to do the show, and the show didn’t work out. I was like, ‘Oh no, what do I do now? Do I stay?’ I hadn’t planned on being in L.A. not working and had to go back to New York. I said, ‘Okay, I learned from that.’ So this next opportunity came up three years later, and I’m like, ‘Sure, I’ll go back and forth, I’ll commute, I won’t move — give me a chance to see what happens.’ I basically flew back and forth. I came to work and went back home on the weekends. Once season 2 started, my job said, ‘Do not call in this weekend, because you’re not coming. Your show is doing very well, you’re not coming.‘”
While Wilson says she’s constantly amazed by Rhimes’ ability to reshape the show and evolve these characters — the story originally centered on five interns in their first year, most of whom have since left — for their fearless leader herself, Rhimes says she’s also changed a lot over the last 300 episodes. “I’m not such an introvert as I was anymore,” Rhimes says. “I think I’ve grown a lot as a businesswoman and as a leader. I said yes a lot, I started having a little bit more fun, although [my daughter] feels that I’m a nerd, I think I’ve started to enjoy this. I’ve learned how to enjoy it and I’ve stopped thinking it’s going to go away. That only happened a couple years ago, where I thought that this is all going to stop at any minute.”
Rhimes certainly shows no signs of slowing down, either. Over the last 14 seasons, as Grey’s has continued to be a ratings juggernaut for ABC, the uber-producer launched six-season spin-off Private Practice, critically acclaimed Scandal and Viola Davis vehicle How to Get Away with Murder, along with short-lived fare Off the Map, The Catch, and Still Star-Crossed. She also recently signed a lucrative Netflix deal, while ABC has another spin-off of Grey’s in the works that will be set in a Seattle firehouse, with flagship star Jason George set to star. Mix that with actually reaching 300 episodes, and executive producer Debbie Allen says it’s all a testament to Rhimes’ staying power. “How many shows get to do 300?” Allen says. “It is a real point in the legacy of Shonda Rhimes and who she is, this is home base for her, this show is the beginning and it speaks volumes about what might come and what is coming.”
Part of the show’s own staying power came from Rhimes and the writers introducing new characters each year, from initial love interests-turned-beloved faces like Arizona (Jessica Capshaw) and Owen (Kevin McKidd) to legacy characters like Amelia Shepherd (Caterina Scorsone) and Maggie Pierce (Kelly McCreary). “Everything that can be implied by the number 300, should be implied,” Capshaw says. “It’s weighty, it’s a lot, it’s incredible, it’s fortunate, it’s earned, it’s a ton of things — above and beyond all that, it’s sort of magical, it’s definitely a unicorn, it doesn’t happen often.”
“I’m so unbelievably grateful, it’s a gift,” adds Sarah Drew, whose character April Kepner joined Grey’s in season 6 when then-Seattle Grace literally merged with another hospital, therefore introducing a slew of new characters. “It’s not something I ever expected that I would have in my life. Before I did this show, I was just guest-starring from show to show to show, and so many shows start and go for maybe three seasons, maybe three episodes, but to be on a show this long-lasting, I’ve been able to have both my kids while being on this show, in a completely and amazing supportive environment of female leadership, who really lifted all of us up and never once made us feel like we were a nuisance for getting pregnant. All of that, I just feel like I have been nurtured and protected and cared for this whole time. It’s just a privilege to be a part of something that’s so huge and so far-reaching, and has affected so many people’s lives.”
It doesn’t hurt that the series tends to include a dozen or so series regulars at any moment — this season includes 14 — allowing for more ensemble stories despite the show’s title. “What’s wonderful is that it’s such a collaboration,” Scorsone says. “I think everybody turns in such beautiful performances and we all appreciate the work and the talent that all of our compatriots bring to the table. We get to go in and play, and do our bit. It really is a company of players and it’s greater than the sum of its parts. It’s an honor to be part of it.”
As for the actual episode, the milestone hour — which aptly pulls its name from Hamilton’s closing number, “Who Lives, Who Dies, Who Tells Your Story” — brings the Shondaland roller coaster to life. Literally. After a nightmare accident involving a county fair ride, it’s all hands on deck as Meredith and the docs of Grey Sloan tend to patients who ignite memories of ghosts from their past. Those ghosts include patients who look like original Fab Five membersCristina (Sandra Oh), George (T.R. Knight), and Izzie (Katherine Heigl). “Cristina, George, and Izzie we’re thinking about a lot during this episode because our three guest actors on the show actually really look like them and remind the rest of the doctors of those characters,” Drew says. “That causes the original group to really remember those people well and want to fight for these ones to live.”
But those originals won’t be the only ones mentioned over the hour. Executive producer Krista Vernoff included an Easter egg hunt that will honor the beloved characters who have since left the show. Drew also mentions nods to characters including Mark Sloan (Eric Dane) and Callie (Sara Ramirez), which Capshaw seems to confirm. “There’s just familiar faces that sort of re-conjure some lifelong loves that we might have had during the course of love in the show, and so they come up and they make you very happy,” Capshaw says. And certainly Meredith’s late-love Derek’s (Patrick Dempsey) presence will also loom large during the hour. “There are definitely some echoes of my brother,” Scorsone teases. “There’s a situation that happens that has some similarities to a situation with him.”

last post about greys,
one thing i wish meredith had said after she mentioned the other crash is the story of how the hospital was named. because it’s been a while since anyone mentioned that.
“the plane crash. that’s why the hospital was re-named. lexie grey and mark sloan died because of it.”
or something better written than that. idk. i would have liked that.
