he panels away from dohyun, not wanting to taint the boy with the unseemly sight of the bruise camoflauging his right eye. ever since the drunken episode following his mother's DEATH that cost him his musical career, the prospect of drinking continuously repulsed sunghyun. years had elapsed since the injury, however, the association gradually fading away. after another monotonous round of lectures, sunghyun felt the urge to alleviate his mood with a glass of jameson before being approached at the bar by an alleged fan. he had interacted with the man briskly, thanking him for his appreciation of the first and only album he had released back in his youth. yet as he turned to depart, the fan had plead for some form of communication or even another appointment with him. he had politely declined both only to incite the fan's wrath. at the time, he intended to launch towards him with the same level of aggression, but risked his reputation at the university and his own progress in his anger issues with such a choice. instead, he contented himself with a single jab to the cheek, one which he deliberately held back to prevent the other from sustaining a grave injury. a few customers intervened to separate the two, sunghyun dismissed without reproach.
