[ 🦈 ] — Reaching their favorite spot, Rin held Sousuke's hand as he escorted him inside the establishment and towards a table. A waitress came to hand them some menus while Rin smirked at his boyfriend. "Obviously, knowing how big of an appetite you have. After here, we can go to the movies or the mall. Whatever you want to go, it's your treat after all."

★ ━━━━━━ Excited to eat, he looked at the menu and nodded while Rin spoke. "Yeah, a movie after sounds good, we could sit in the back row and..." Grinning slyly, Sosuke leaned in closer to his boyfriend. "Maybe have some fun in the dark."

His treat, he'd probably order half the menu! That way they could take leftovers, and hide them at the movies. "Excuse me!" He flagged their waitress, and smiled at her as she took out a pad to write his order. "I'll take two orders of Egg Drop Soup, some Pepper Chicken, Brocolli and Beef, and Fried Rice!!"

Beaming at Rin, Sousuke was happy to get to eat what he wanted, depending on what Rin ordered, he'd share some of his food with the Shark, after all, Rin was paying for it.

[ 🦈 ] — Rin turned around to face Sousuke as he walked backwards, his arms raised so he then placed his fingers on the back of his head, interlocking them. He let out a laugh at the many 'suggestions' his best friend said. "Well, someone is being greedy, but it is your special day, Sousuke. Whatever you want, just let me know."

★ ━━━━━━ Rin let go of his hand, Sosuke would have made a noise of frustration, but he didn't. He kept moving, hoping Rin wouldn't fall walking backwards; the cheeky son of a--

"You said you'd take care of me, so I'm using that to my advantage." He smiled and shoved a hand in his jeans pocket. "Let's just go find something already, I'm starving"

[ 🦈 ] —   Crimson hues looked up at the other in concern as he thought he might of crossed the line with Sousuke. Rin sighed and went to take a quick shower, he planned on making it up to his boyfriend and ask for forgiveness. The subject of his boyfriend’s shoulder and everything else around it was still a very touchy subject, he had to be more careful when around him.

Ah, he was such an idiot. He hoped that Sousuke wasn’t to mad at him. After his shower, he dried off and went to his locker to start changing. At hearing footsteps, he looked up at his boyfriend with an apologetic smile.

        “Hey, want to grab some food and take it home, or we can hang out somewhere. Maybe the movies, oh! I know we can go to the arcade, its been a while since we went. I would totally annihilate you on a race car game. What do you say?”

Having some Yen in his jacket pocket that he pulled on, Sousuke had gotten himself a cold tea from the vending machine in the hallway, leaning against the wall and pressing it against his pulse point as it was going crazy.

He felt like an ass to not be able to shower with his boyfriend after he had done the sport that Sousuke still liked (to an extent,) but the smells of the pool did trigger bad memories in his olfactory senses and he didn’t want to give Rin the burden of seeing him crumble.

Heading back inside the locker room when he figured Rin was done in the shower, his hands had crushed the can he held, between his hands (he wanted them busy.) Seeing Rin freshly showered and smelling like the shampoo the Shark liked, Sousuke cracked a half smile.

Listening to the other rattle off ideas of how to spend the rest of their time, Sousuke felt his heart skip, and he swallowed. “What if I said I wanted you, here and now, Rin?” He was panicking, and wanted to feel his boyfriend’s body against him (the mighty Whale Shark was crumbling.)

    With his shoulder and arm considered unusable, Sousuke often misses swimming so much that he gets highly depressed. The signs are when he stops talking, doesn’t want to go anywhere/do anything, and when he rubs his shoulder way too much.

    It’s pretty difficult, even for Rin, or Ai to talk him out of the deep sadness and get him moving again.

SOUSUKE’S DEPRESSION.

Depression is a mood disorder that causes a persistent feeling of sadness and loss of interest. Also called major depressive disorder or clinical depression, it affects how you feel, think and behave and can lead to a variety of emotional and physical problems. You may have trouble doing normal day-to-day activities, and sometimes you may feel as if life isn’t worth living.

SYMPTOMS.

- FEELINGS OF SADNESS/HOPELESSNESS/EMPTINESS: sousuke does experience these emotions daily. perhaps not the sadness, but rather the emptiness and hopelessness. since his parting from swimming, he’s had very little joy in his life ( save for rin & ai ).

- IRRITABILITY AND FRUSTRATION: while this does occur with him. it’s not often. it takes a lot to get him truly angry, and when you do he becomes scarily calm.

- SLEEP DISTURBANCES: this one hits sousuke like a truck. he has acute insomnia ( sometimes he sleeps the day away by accident ).

- TIREDNESS AND LACK OF ENERGY: this accompanies the sleep disturbances. he’d much rather lay in his bed room with the lights off.

- REDUCED APPETITE: he rarely eats, and when he does, it’s the bare minimum. sometimes he just isn’t hungry.

- AGITATION AND RESTLESSNESS: accompanies frustration and irritability most times.

- FEELINGS OF GUILT AND WORTHLESSNESS: sousuke tends to fixate on the surgery, and often exaggerates the complications he faced. knowing there was nothing he could do

- THOUGHTS OF SUICIDE OR DEATH: self-explanatory. there’s a 45% chance of sousuke experiencing these.

- TROUBLE CONCENTRATING: this one also hits him hard. concentration is extremely difficult for sousuke.

- UNEXPLAINED PAINS: phantom pains in his hand and arm are normal for him

( ** ✧✧✧･ ———    After a good swim, with Sousuke WATCHING, of course, the two were still inside the pool area, lying on fluffy towels near the changing rooms should they need to get dressed and leave. Though Rin had gotten permission by the pool owner to stay for HOURS, which Sousuke thought was pretty damn nice. Big hands were shuffling through red hair, massaging Rin’s skull and making him squirm a bit. ❛ You’re so easy to rile up Rin. ❜

( ** ✧✧✧･ ———    As they lay there Rin moved to place his head upon the Whale Shark’s chest, closing his eyes, ❛ I can feel your heartbeat, Sousuke. ❜ Teal eyes went soft as he chuckled and massaged Rin’s scalp some more.

♒ — After a long, hard day at the pool, Rin was more than happy to be back in his apartment and cooking some food. Letting his best friend rest while he was in the kitchen, he made sure to cook one of Sousuke’s favorite food just to spoil the brat. Plus, its been amazing having him here in Australia with him, hanging out in his apartment, just overall enjoying the other man’s company.

But secretly, Rin was giddy and happy that the person that meant the whole world to him the most (aside from his mom and Gou) was spending time with him here.

Letting the meat sizzle a bit over the pan, he checked on the rice and veggies steaming; he then went to check on the other.

        “Sousuke…food is almost….”

Rin stopped in his tracked, seeing the large man laying peacefully on his couch, looking like he was in heaven with the way his face was relaxed and held a small smile on his lips….and god, he shouldn’t be looking over that large body…this was his best friend for fuck’s sakes and…

Wait…was he….having a wet dream?

Rin tried to look away, he could feel his face growing hotter with each second that passed and his stomach doing twirls. God, he felt like such a pervert…and to Sousuke no less. He groaned and rubbed his face before approaching him on the couch…he began to poke him on Sousuke’s good shoulder…

      “Oi, food is almost ready.”

He, of course, tried to not look there…..much.

( ** ✧✧✧･ ———     Sleeping and being a little aroused by his dream, Sousuke gripped the sheet in both hands, legs twisting from the uncomfortable erection in his jammers. Upon feeling something in his shoulder, his eyes opened slowly and he stirred. “ Mmm...Rin...what now? “

1) Sousuke is a sheet/blanket hoarder and Makoto has to literally YANK the covers to even get any, but then Sousuke turns in his sleep and lays on Makoto.

2) Sou enjoys being serviced and Mako is usually eager to give Sousuke some love.

3) Even though Makoto is a bottom, Sou will ask him to dominate in a bedroom roleplay. Sousuke enjoys being told what to do sometimes.

4) Makoto is a cuddle bug and Sousuke is often dragged to the couch or bed just for a calming cuddle session. If he’s feeling strong, Mako will even invite Haru and Rin to join.

(( I’m heavily reminded of this piece of scripture: Proverbs 26:12 ( “Seest thou a man wise in his own conceit? there is more hope of a fool than of him” ) ))

(( The lyrics speak of someone who seems to have been brought down by his/her foolishness. And they are trying to get by just being a fool, with everyone around them. ))

(( The Sousuke I portray is one of soft caliber, and yet has a foolish perspective sometimes of still wishing to swim even though it’s impossible for him to enjoy it again. ))

In the lyrics it says:

(( This part of the lyrics seem to say something about the other people in Sousuke’s life, as they see him from a distance now that he can no longer swim with them. They praised him when he could swim yes, but now he is broken, and stewing in his own pain and completely secluding himself. ))

( ** ✧✧✧･ ———     Just after a swim, the two were in the locker room. He had watched Rin swim, cheering him on from the side of the pool. He had given up swimming competitively due to his shoulder.

( ** ✧✧✧･ ———     Watching Rin towel off he stood from his place on the bench nearby and went up behind Rin. Leaning over a little he huskily whispered in the Shark’s ear. “ You wanna go shower? “

★ ━━━━━━ He liked being led by Rin around, and watched the other man's back, smiling. "You get to physically feed me you know." He jokingly cantered.

Sousuke hoped they could possibly take a bath upon getting home, his feet were going to hurt by the end of the excursion. "I want tea."

[   🦈 ] —   Rin chuckled at Sousuke's expression before pulling him towards their favorite spot to eat, they might as well enjoy their time together as they stroll in the city. With their crazy schedule, it was nice to spend it with him.

"Of course you can, i would be the worst if I don't treat you well, Sousuke."

★ ━━━━━━ He was very excited to spend time with Rin, they didn't have enough time to themselves while Rin worked on his swimming and Sousuke did his PT and therapy to regain his interest in swimming. Going to their favorite places was always a treat.

"I want a big portion, I'm sure I can eat it all!!"

[ 🦈 ] — He laughed and grasped the taller male's hand and started to drag him, knowing exactly where he was going to take his boyfriend. Their favorite place to eat, of course. Plus he had to spoil Sousuke, it will be his day and their date, all in one.

★ ━━━━━━ "Teasing, right..." Sousuke sighed and closed his eyes. Clearing his throat, he nodded. "Sure thing, sounds good. Do I get to choose what we eat?"

Lying a hand on Rin's as they walked, Sousuke blushed again, as much as it made him embarrassed. He wanted to make Rin happy, and he was all for playing his role, hell, he may even like it.

He grinned and wrapped an arm around the slightly taller man over his shoulder.
