He moved slowly, exhausted from his trek and flopped himself onto the little stool beside him. "Ramya?" He called into the space, eyes scanning the area looking for the younger woman. He reached up grabbing his bandana and pulling it from his face before yelling for the woman again. "Ramya! I got your shit."

He chucked the bag he was carrying onto the work table near by him, eyes still scanning the room for any sight of her. "I think I broke a toe this trip." He mumbled to himself, bending down to rub his foot through his worn boots.

A low sigh. The professor definitely looked...odd, with crystal coating crossing over parts of her skin, or what should be skin. It seemed she was not even fully human, or perhaps not at all, an AI, but with the presence of something more. An ERROR in her mind, so quickly pushed away as spirits knew far more about a console than the ARTIFICIAL INTELLIGENCE inside. When she spoke, it was tattered and strange.

Almost unnerving.

If it weren't for the Christmas sweater tied loosely at the top, one might mistake Carol Scott for a school teacher or principal. (Technically, she's both at the school for elves.) Her red blouse and dark red skirt don't scream Mrs. Claus.

Head tilted, she smiles warmly at the latest North Pole guest. The North Pole is a wondrous and magical place, but she knows that it can feel overwhelming at first. "Would you like some cocoa?"

crystalline eyes dart to the darker corners of the old selûnite outpost. never have they been to the underdark -- well, all of this is quite new, to be honest, but this was a different type of new. the darkness was not the blue-black of the surface, but a deep purple illuminated by cool-colored mushrooms that grew to their natural size. "a shape?" the paladin quirks an eyebrow. "my gold's on either a rat, or maybe jus' nerves. or shadowheart. b'tween you & me, i think she likes the dark more'n she says." an easy fanged smile to the shorter tiefling, trying to ease the tension.

they flash their fellow paladin a sharp toothed grin, hand reaching for the hilt of their greatsword. sure, recklessness isn't always wise, but it is sort of fun when it works out. (in their old life, combat was usually avoided easily. one look at their quartzlike spikes & large teeth sent most enemies running. this form, while easier to make friends in, has less intimidation factor.) "i mean," nari starts, a bit too excited to incite violence, "can't say i'm opposed to the matter. sometimes full speed ahead is th'only way t'go. or at least th'most fun. there's times f'r strategy, but i dunno if this is one."

Spider-Society and The Day of Lots of Involuntary Trips to Earth-19999. (Finally finished this, god damn.)

I hadn’t seen any takes on what Spider-Society was like during Spider-man: No Way Home (2021), so I thought about it too hard.

I.e. I pulled up a clip of No Way Home to see what the Peter-abduction spell would look like from Miguel’s POV, then realized he'd have no idea what he's looking at and would probably mistake it for something else.
