“completely accidental--” rose replied with an almost sheepish laugh, waving off any of the gratitude. it really wasn’t anything to read into, they were just glad someone had completely fallen over because of her. it would have been even worse, in their opinion, if they had knocked her down. a bump was nothing at the end of the day. “i’m just glad you’re alright, i was worried i would have totally pushed you over. but you’re-- you are good right?”

mouse knew that noa didn't remember her like the other girls had. she didn't want to scare her with everything they missed. plus it wasn't exactly something she would want noa to remember, even if it meant having to find a new way to be her friend. "you look nice. love the dress."

"I'm still new to all of this," And admitting it feels physically painful but the food here was so different compared to what they had back home. "What would you recommend?" A short pause and then - "Please tell me you serve alcohol here."

DING. the sound of the front doors rang causing noa to turn her gaze to the person walking into the pizza shop. giving them a smile, she continues what she's doing while she speaks softly, "hi welcome in, please seat yourself and i'll be with you in a second." putting up her stuff, she grabs the small notebook from the pocket of her apron and approaches the table with pen in hand preparing to get their order, "what can i get started for you, something to drink? any appetizers?" | @hiddenstarters

       what  a  crazy  couple  of  months  it  had  been.  noa  had  been  witness  to  her  life  turning  upside  down  and  then  back  in  the  right  direction  not  once  or  twice.  between  being  arrested  because  of  her  mother’s  drugs  and  being  stalked  by  her  principal  and  his  son?  well,  she  had  found  a  new  definition  for  crazy.  luckily,  things  were  calmer  now  and  all  noa  could  hope  for  was  some  normalcy.  the  only  thing  she  did  not  want  to  change?  her  friendship  with  the  girls.  it  was  why  the  brunette  was  standing  in  the  haworthe’s  door  with  cookies  (  she  figured  imogen  might  need  some  comfort  food  after  giving  the  baby  up.  a  smile  bloomed  in  her  lips,  head  tilting  to  the  side  once  the  other  girl  opened  the  door.  ❝  hey!  can  i  come  in?  tabby  said  she  was  gonna  be  at  work  so  i  figured  i’d  come  over  to  keep  you  company.  ❞

"i kind of like this." noa admitted as she glanced around. "seeing everyone all dressed up. also, the free food is nice too." she sipped from her water before turning to the other person. "sorry, that was so random."

"yeah... it's a thing i guess... people here just lose their memories..." it now sounded like they were completely crazy. how do you explain that kind of situation to someone who's never seen it happen?

"it's a big city." noa shrugged her shoulders, they'd probably gone to different schools, grown up on opposite sides of town. "but i suppose it's a little interesting." she nodded. "the amount of people who have asked me how they got here, it's starting to get old."

"random question." she stopped the other as she drew in a deep breath. "i know you probably don't, but you wouldn't happen to have some water or maybe you could point me towards a store? i ran a little more than i planned and didn't bring any water with me."

"i'd ask, but that just feels so rude." noa shook her head, an awkward laugh falling from her lips. "though you do kind of look like a pirate or something."

"No, this is not a Halloween costume. The eyepatch is for a reason." Hua Cheng sighed. They know Xie Lian loves this form, so he tries to stick to it. . .but man do they want to run people over for mentioning it.

mouse had invited noa to hang out with them in their dorm. get a little bit of studying done and just generally hang out. as they had been talking mouse paused after hearing noises outside the door. “i think there’s some kind of party or something tonight.” she said after turning back to noa.

“you sure you don’t want any help?” tara felt awkward standing there while noa was making breakfast for that morning. if they’d said no again she would help anyways. all she was doing was tasting as she went along and if it kept up there would be no food left. “you know what, i’m just gonna help you.” she said as she walked further into the kitchen. “tell me what to do.”

richie gave her an acknowledgement nod and then he looked over the menu in his hands. his stomach told him he was hungry, and the restaurant actually smelled pretty fantastic, and familiar, but the prices along the menu were giving him pause. the man was certainly struggling. "uhh..." richie hesitated, wanting it all. "yeah. how about a job?"

"you know, you're probably right. though i think a lot of museums are privately funded. i would have to look it up to see if this one is government funded or not." noa shrugged, ready to pull out her phone to do just that. "hmm, i'd say having a date is my style, but no one asked so flying solo it is."

"i guess maybe some of it was at a discount, since the museum is like.. government owned i think? but still, the food and drink alone has to be a fortune." rose added, nodding at the response. "yeah, me neither. is it just.. not your style, or what?"
