When baby manorian was under the age of two she wasn’t able to speak yet. however, she was able to communicate with her parents by making sounds and shaking her head to say no.

At that time, when Dorian asks her if he’s hungry he always rubs her stomach while getting her food. She picked up on it, and every time she gets hungry, she’d walk up to the nearest parent and rub her stomach while complaining in baby talk. They’d instantly know that she’s hungry and get her food because poor baby is in need of sustenance

she had no idea where she was or why she was even there. the last thing she remembered was searching for the ironteeth witches, needing to find them. to find her. no, she'd found them and hadn't been able to escape. "where is this place?" rhiannon questioned the first person she saw, but froze when she recognized the face. "you... how are you here too?"

Manon is probably covered in scars because of the Matron’s intense abuse. From her hands to her head to even her feet she’s covered in them and she’s self conscious of them.

Not because she’s nervous they’ll make her less pretty or attractive but because she fears they’ll make her seem weak. Like they’ll scream at others ‘I couldn’t stop the abuse I suffered because I was not strong enough’.

Something that was not her fault but something the Matron probably put in her head to force Manon to further isolate herself from others.

In my mind Manon is covered in dangerous, intimidating, armor when in battle and probably keeps some light armor on when she’s not in battle. Not because she may need it but because she wants some kind of extra layer to hide her scars.

She’s doesn't want people to see her as weak so she covers herself in things that scream danger and strength to hide what she considers a weakness that will lessen herself to others.

It would act as a way to show how Manon tried to hide her true hurt and her real feelings underneath armor to try and hide the things that she considers as weak and vulnerabilities that she can’t afford to expose, even to people she trusts with her life like the thirteen.
