The issue with being inside was getting in trouble as it was well past curfew. So he slipped out onto the front steps; which felt like the last place anybody else would turn up. Of course he was quiet if anything showing stealth was an good excuse if he did get in trouble. Eventually his eyes finally got too heavy, taking longer to open up with time they closed. Barely stirred awake by Grace who helped him make it back to his room. With only a few near collisions into furniture and walls.

Trolls: Band Together Holiday Special (Idea)
NOTE: NOT OFFICIAL, JUST SPECULATION OF SOMETHING THAT MAY OR MAY NOT COME TO EXIST
(ALSO COUNTS AS A POTENTIAL FANFIC IDEA)
Trolls: Family Holiday
Plot: Following the events of the third movie, Poppy and Branch are eager to spend their first holiday with their siblings in the village. While they are both hoping for a perfect night, things end up taking an unexpected turn for them both.
Poppy learns that Viva doesn't know any holiday traditions due to living in Putt-Putt Village by herself for so long. So the two sisters try to find a new tradition that they will both enjoy, which proves difficult when Viva keeps shutting down all of Poppy's suggestions. Feeling frustrated and dejected, Poppy wanders off by herself.
Meanwhile, Branch has been cleaning out his bunker so that he and his brothers can have a nice family dinner like they used to as kids. He finds an old photograph of his brothers as kids, along with two other trolls he doesn't recognize in the background. While getting ready to eat, John Dory sees the picture on the wall and asks where he found it. Branch makes an offhanded comment about the two adults in the background, shocking all of his brothers. Floyd awkwardly reveals that the two trolls are actually their parents, who died over twenty years ago. Feeling ashamed and embarrassed that he didn't recognize them, Branch quickly runs out of the bunker.
Poppy and Branch try to locate each other for help, but an unexpected snowstorm forces them to take shelter in the closest buildings they can find; Poppy hides out in the bunker with the rest of BroZone, while Branch ends up in the Fun Factory with Viva.
As they all wait out the storm, Viva confides in Branch, expressing how guilty she feels for rejecting Poppy's ideas so harshly. She just wanted their first holiday together to be perfect, but now she fears she may have ruined her chances of bonding with Poppy completely. Branch offers her some comfort, knowing how hard it is to adjust to a new lifestyle after being secluded for so long. He then reassures her, explaining how Poppy has never given up on anyone, especially her family, and has been overjoyed to have Viva in her life.
Down in the bunker, John Dory has locked himself in the bathroom, claiming he needs to wash his hair. The other brothers explain their situation to Poppy, shocking her, as she didn't even know that Branch had parents. Each of the brothers begins to feel guilty as they realize Branch grew up with little to no knowledge of his family after they left. Poppy goes to check on John Dory, only to find him crying in the bathroom. Though he tries to cover it up, he finally crumbles and reveals that their parents both died when Branch was still in his egg, which is why he didn't recognize them. Poppy learns that their death left a lasting impact on John Dory, who was forced to step up to help raise his younger brothers. His need for perfection stemmed from wanting his brothers to be happy, but eventually, he got so caught up in preserving the past, that he unintentionally made his brothers feel burdened and ignored, which later resulted in the band's breakup. Poppy comforts him, and encourages him to share these feelings with his brothers, remembering how much it helped Branch when he was still gray.
As the storm begins to pass, Branch and Poppy lament that things didn't go the way they initially planned, but they are encouraged by the other's family to go back and give them another try, assuring them that there is no such thing as a perfect holiday. It's not always pretty, and it can bring back some sad memories, but getting through it together can make your bond even stronger.
Viva and Branch finally make it to the bunker as the storm ends, and everyone makes amends. Viva apologizes to Poppy, explaining herself and even repairing the holiday crown that Poppy made for her earlier that she broke accidentally. Poppy then apologizes for pressuring Viva, saying that it doesn't matter what traditions they have, as long as they can spend the holidays together.
Branch apologizes to his brothers for running off, and for putting out the photo in the first place. But John Dory reassures him that he and the others don't blame him at all, and they finally apologize for walking out on him at such a young age. They all want a fresh start, but that doesn't mean they should ignore their feelings about the past. Branch still feels melancholy that he knows so little about their parents, so John Dory decides to tell him the story behind the picture Branch put up, finally giving him some insight of what they were both like.
Inspired by their display, Poppy asks Viva if she can recall any stories about their mother, and Viva happily tells her a story of her attempts at baking a pie for Peppy, though with questionable results. This gives Poppy the idea that they should have a holiday bake-off, and the sisters finally find a tradition they both agree on.
And cue the final musical number as the special closes with both families celebrating together.

I always forget that the Kane Siblings are stupidly young. I’m no authority on Egyptian Mythology, so I don’t know how accurate the books are and how much has been… creativity reinterpreted, so I won’t make any comments on that. Therefore, my biggest gripe with this series is the age of Carter and Sadie. Add two or three years to both of them and you remove my biggest problem with this trilogy. Hell, if you want to keep them younger, do it in The Red Pyramid. Then make the timeskip between The Red Pyramid and The Throne Of Fire a couple of years. Slide these books’ positions on the timeline like those sliding switches on soundboards!
Everyone else can stay the same age though. Except maybe Zia, keep her and Carter’s ages roughly analogous to avoid issues. In fact, make her older than him! By a year or two, or somewhere in the middle Foreshadowing Unless It Isn’t. Also, as a side note, keep her shabti around for longer, let her and Carter and Sadie develop much more of a relationship so that we can overturn it all later for more angst!
Sadie should be at least fourteen going on fifteen in the Throne Of Fire, if not fifteen going on sixteen. This would make Carter approximately sixteen/seventeen and a half, and remove the whole “Anubis and also Walt fancy a twelve going on thirteen year old” bit, which I think is an unfortunate consequence of Rick consistently forgetting how old his characters are when the plot doesn’t demand he reference it and/or having written himself into a corner age-wise and not managing to write himself out of it. This has the advantage of not needing to alter much of their dialogue, because the Kane Siblings already talk like they’re much older than they are. (It also brings to life some more fascinating character flaws. A twelve->thirteen year old wanting to stick to their birthday plans in spite of the potential end of the world is understandable, a fourteen/fifteen->fifteen/sixteen year old insisting the same is less excusable. Show us more of the flaws that align Sadie to Isis)
This does however mean that we need to muddle around all the other pantheons’ timelines to keep things in sync. We cannot lose the scene where Percy looks at Sadie and thinks about how she looks like a hypothetical kid of his and Annabeth’s, because that’s too adorable and they deserve to tease him about it a bit. Maybe they meet partway between The Red Pyramid and The Throne Of Fire?
I shall reblog this with more thoughts in the morning.

[Maryverse] - My Take on the Timeline, A 2-for-1 Universe and Magical Marys
Before I actually begin with what's been described in the title of the post, I wanted to give context for what I'm planning to do, as well as the project which I'm doing this for (as this is something that I've never done before, both and being Non-Undertale/Deltarune content).
Maryverse is a project that I'd recently talked about in my most recent Artfight-Based Post, where I'd given context for the currently-known plot 'where the three members of 'Catgirl at Heart' (Mary Rosemary, Sasha Tones and Skylar McMilliwood) have to compete against bands of different music genres to play at the Tower of Melodies in the middle of Kitty City!'
This theory originally began after I had made my Artfight attack for @marnielovesyouu on Artfight.
While working on the attack, I had found that the Main Character of the project, Mary Rosemary, was originally only described as an unnamed 'sona' with this image as the first example of what she looks like:
I suggested about how the Current Design of Marnie's sona was an AU Version of Mary, with the two versions being seen interacting with eachother in two separate times, and the unnamed Mary (who I've been referring to as 'Surrealist' because of how her Reference Sheet is presented, as well as something later explained) being the source of eventually having the two separate versions. 'Surrealist' does have her place within the timeline that I was able to make.
Because the title to this post is longer than most other, I would reccomend abbreviation to 'Choker Theory', as it was the differences in (including designs which had returned in the later stages of Mary's life) and using to make assumptions for when and what would be happening during those times.
-----------------------------------------------
The youngest we've seen of Mary is at 10 years old as one of ‘the wee ones’, where Mary and Skylar were confirmed to know eachother as childhood ‘best friends forever’. Mary at this age has been described as sounding similar to Sheldon Cooper, or Milhouse Van Houten as an alternative suggestion from an Anonymous Ask.
The usual purple accent in Mary's hair was red during this time (which caused the nickname of ‘Bloody Mary’ after a dyeing incident that was later solved by Skylar's Parents), as this was also the time when Mary had chosen to announce her transition to her parents, Laurel and Valentina. The change from her Currently-Unrevealed Deadname from to Mary could also potentially be symbolized by the accents changing from red to pink.
Mary's school life isn't very well-known, other than it's at a time when she still wore regular, red glasses and had a triangular hairpin. It's also where she begins dating Skylar and first meets Sasha in Highschool, as well as going to a Digigirl convention known as ‘PIXICON’ (who Marnie ‘replaced’ with Starlite meaning that it's now probably a Space Girls-Themed Convention instead).
I've recently been thinking of Mary's Highschool having ‘Hairball High’ as a Headcanon Name to fit in with the other cat-based areas seen in Kitty City, and that it's where she would often play Peggle on the school computers (referencing the ‘evil bjorn’ art posted to marnielovesyouu's Tumblr Account on July 2nd of 2024 with Mary riding on top of Bjorn as he shoots lasers from his eyes), although ‘KAT COLLEGE’ is already something that exists separately. This time could also be when Mary learns more about Creepypastas and discovering the alternative meaning to her younger self's ‘Bloody Mary’ nickname, but that is another Headcanon Suggestion that I'd made (although it is somewhat based on an older idea from marnielovesyouu before ‘the wee ones’ had been designed about Mary being a creepypasta kid).
Her time at KAT COLLEGE has mostly been focused on developing plot points, with Skylar meeting Brittany, Coral and Megan, who turned Skylar against Mary for her being uncomfortably ‘weird and quirky’ when compared to who Skylar could be spending her time with. This time in Mary's life is when I imagine Mary first heard about Kitty City's Gay Bar, which currently doesn't have a canon name, but I've thought of it either being known as ‘The Purrdy Lady’ or ‘Catfight Corner’. She wouldn't reintroduce herself to Sasha at this point as he wouldn't be seen there yet, but Mary is there to take her mind off of Skylar's new “friends” after everything said by them about Mary had pissed her off (which is also based on Mary's recently-decided rule of how ‘she gets one piss per episode’).
Mary begins her job at a Hot Topic-Inspired Shop (which currently doesn't have a final name decided for it by Marnie) soon after leaving KAT COLLEGE, putting her people-pleasing tendencies to the unfortunate retail test, and it's where the idea for Catgirl at Heart is first thought of as a one man band. This would be where the name of 'Surrealist' would first be considered, with it being planned as a stage name for Mary to use during solo acts.
Although she eventually prioritizes lyric writing and being the band's guitarist/singer in present day, she's also shown to have experience with a microphone from when Mary can be seen holding one in the ‘All sold out? I have an idea!’ post from January 2nd, 2024 as she was simultaneously taking her shirt off (which was suggested through an Anonymeous Ask based on the tags of an earlier post which said about how ‘Apparently she wears a shirt sometimes’ from December 29th of 2023 where ‘She should take it off’ and ’what who said that’), as well as playing the piano and keyboard as other instruments, from what is later revealed from a sketch of her room, which is also possibly the case that ‘Surrealist’ is carrying on the second piece of art of her from June 15th of 2021. Because it has the keyboard inside that has only ever been seen inside Mary's room with her current design, it's likely that the keyboard is the primary instrument used to make covers of Video Game SoundTracks.
However, after an overwhelming day of work and many crumpled pieces of paper later, Mary revisits the Gay Bar. And two seats along, likely two seats down and leaning on her elbow for the additional coolness factor, was Sasha Tones. Mary was quick to fall in multiple contexts, making an ass of herself as she clumsily lands on her face. It took multiple visits, minor accommodation and bite-sized interactions, but Sasha was eventually the one to make it official as Mary's BoyGirlfriend and behind-the-scenes guy for Catgirl at Heart (which Mary had forgotten to specify because of her moments of infodumping across various niche topics).
After Catgirl at Heart is formed as the one man band it was initially planned to be, Mary eventually receives her first fanart. It's a simple sketch of herself being seen leaving hearts around her, but with more emphasis on the ‘catgirl’ element of herself when performing. Likely because of the band's name, Mary had also been given a visible fang, as well as cat ears and a tail. But what really brought everything together in a bundle of emotion and felicity was the message attached, with ‘I 🤍 U’ written in the upper-left corner of the page. This is why she was making music. Not just for herself, but for others also.
After seeing this, Mary is quick to tell Sasha about it, which eventually has the idea of Sasha possibly joining Catgirl at Heart as more than just a behind-the-scenes guy. Although I'm not exactly sure how Mary and Sasha would be written because of the differences between my Writing Style and marnielovesyouu's, but I think that the idea of Sasha becoming the drummer would be described through how fitting it would be to what he has already presented herself doing as a biker and professionally chilled-out badass. But with a surprising opposite to how their dynamic was in the bar scene, it was Mary mentioning how good it would feel to see the two being drawn together that had settled it. After that conversation, flattery finds its drummer, if flattery's name was Catgirl at Heart.
Mary has been confirmed to keep every fanmade present that she's ever been given, which is why I think that she could also later embody these details from her first fanart, and will let her known silliness shine at times to make her guitar cable look like a cat's tail.
Finally, although they have the least information available for them, there have been two future versions of Mary, which are a 22-Year-Old Future AU Version and ‘grandma Mary’. The Future AU Mary may not be canon, as marnielovesyouu has said that she will likely remain 20 after Marnie herself turns 20 (which she already has, and the was very impressive Fanart seen as a result of it!) because she doesn't want ro be ‘drawing grandma Mary on my deathbed’, but the idea of her ageing further is still a possibility.
22-Year-Old/Future AU Mary is the only one of the two being mentioned in this segment to have a design, which uses the second choker design from when Mary was only known by ‘Surrealist’ (which would've been after thinking of Catgirl at Heart based on My Take of the Timeline), as well a Jacket Design similar to Mary's from when marnielovesyouu was ‘MarnieSurr’ on Tumblr and Artfight in 2021 but with additional hearts seen across its sleeves.
Although it isn't as timeline-focused as everything else described, ‘grandma Mary’ implies that Mary will eventually have children and grandchildren, meaning that Mary's body is still affected by traits of Alexandria's Genesis (‘Women also do not menstruate, but are fertile’) despite her purple eyes now being caused by contact lenses.
(Anything that hasn't been added to this description is either still quite unclear in regards to its canonicity, something that has definitely been retconned, or ideas likely to be expanded on in the potential Maryverse TV Series, such as how the Battle of the Bands will be presented.)
Everything under the 'Read More' is to marnielovesyouu's other project, Luluverse, which is another one of marnielovesyouu's projects based on Magical Girl animes such as Madoka Magica.
For a smaller, bonus theory, I also thought about the possibility of Luluverse and Maryverse being connected to eachother. Lulu has been shown to be a fan of Catgirl at Heart, saying that ‘their music has helped me a lot through some tough times’, even having a picture taken with all three band members. Mary and Lulu have also been seen together in two other posts, which include ‘OC universe…. CROSSOVER!!!’ and ’Lulu meets her favorite artist’, with Lulu even being seen wearing Catgirl at Heart merchandise.
Both also have forests that relate to the story of the Main Cast before a transformation (Mary and Skylar used to play in the forest when they were younger at a similar time to when Mary announced her transition, and Lulu finds Jam Packet at an abandoned house in The Dead Forest before her hair becomes ‘spikified’).
There isn't as much to this theory when compared to My Take on the Maryverse Timeline (as that was what the focus of this post was meant to be with other ideas coming from the Timeline Take when researching these projects), unless I planned to expand upon the suggestion of Mary potentially having one of the rarer ‘ancient familiars’ that appear as being closer to animals in nature, such as the white ‘Birdy Birdy’ that Mary is seen calling over to her through whistling. that the jacket often worn by Mary is her magical girl outfit (similarly to how Lulu is with Jam Packet), which is also why she leaves hearts wherever she goes.
-----------------------------------------------
I'm not sure whether Maryverse and Luluverse have hand anything similar to this made for them, and I've never done this type of content before, so I hope that you liked My Take on the events that have been publicly-revealed so far!
Even though it was nearly a week before everything to be final, I did enjoy getting to work on this and my previous Artfight attack and I hope that more people will be able to interact with you and your work, even if it was through a series of Anonymous Asks like I did!

New Mutants vol. 4 #18 – Homecoming
The imperative of a mutant community
Vita Ayala (Writer), Rod Reis (Artist), Travis Lanham (Letterer)
Let’s begin with first principles.
The two foundational, definitional characteristics of the New Mutants are the closeness of their bonds, lines between platonic and romantic almost permanently blurred, and their trauma, both individual and shared. The New Mutants’ mission on Krakoa, explored so beautifully in this issue, is to foster a community strong enough that it can guide and support each of its individuals to unburden themselves of the trauma of the past and flourish in the future.
The New Mutants begin their utopian journey in this fashion by creating a support system for younger mutants, no longer constrained by human frameworks and ideologies. This is symbolised by their new home the Sextant, which is itself a metaphor for charting a new course towards a future with limitless possibilities. When Vita Ayala takes over writing responsibilities from Jonathan Hickman from issue 13, they more closely interrogate how this idealism plays out in practice. As the shadow of the past begins to encroach on the Akademos Habitat in the form of Amahl Farouk, the young students are attracted to the allure of easy solutions to their problems. The teachers also perceive Krakoa as an opportunity to release the trauma they’ve held onto for many years but know that this victory must be hard fought. Enter Dani Moonstar aka Mirage to guide them through.
After Magik becomes a War Captain and de facto combat leader of the team, Dani remains the team’s spiritual and emotional leader, as well as the lead educator for the Lost Club, the island’s youngest mutants. While Mirage doesn’t have a story dedicated to her throughout the run, she remains active rather than passive, supporting the team through the period of introspection and reflection that the safety of Krakoa has afforded them.
Ayala uses Mirage to great effect throughout their run, using her innate skill of empathy to de-emphasis the distinction between individual and shared trauma. Ayala’s approach to this feels so realistic, as Dani does not always get this right, avoiding a trap that writers fall into with the character being so morally upstanding that her judgement is beyond reproach. While issue #18 is a wonderful testament to Dani’s strength as a leader and the nature of her bond with Karma, there’s only so much that a community leader can do for her people without wider structural support. Wolfsbane and Cosmar are examples of attentions become spread too thinly, which is a catalyst for calamity and guilt that later issues must resolve. All of Dani’s attention is on Karma’s battle to reclaim her identity by separating her from her ‘evil’ brother Tran, who she has stored in her soul for almost her entire life to protect the world around her. In a society that promises amnesty and support for its former villains, New Mutants #18 examines the precarious moral balance of self-actualisation and community protection through one of the Krakoa era’s most controversial plot devices: the Crucible.
The healing rock
The issue begins with Karma and Mirage sat on a rock by a waterfall, hands held in meditation as Dani facilitates a conversation between Xuân and Tran on the astral plane. This is the same rock that Karma finds Wolfsbane sat on in the opening scene to issue 1 and offers her guidance about capitalising on the potential of her rebirth and finding new purpose. It is a space that symbolises the spiritual connections between the team, and the importance of quiet introspection as a way of resolving problems and challenges. It’s representative of Ayala’s approach to the series, which is to buck the superhero comic trend and resolve issues through philosophical debate rather than physical conflict. That’s not to say that action isn’t core to this issue because it is, but the resolution to the problem is arrived at here on this rock which then plays out in the crucible itself.
Rod Reis’ use of pastel tones and inking to differentiate between the corporal and astral figures and between past and present tense is both economical and visually stunning. The washed out tone clearly demarcates the past tense, while the flare ups of Karma’s pink power signature emphasises Karma’s intense frustration and despair at the lack of success of previous attempts to separate her from her brother. Floating ink lines resembling restraints circle Tran’s body loosely throughout the scene, suggesting Xuân’s reluctance to incarcerate him. At the scene’s conclusion, the inks have become thinner, symbolising the loosening of the bonds and his imminent freedom.
“Tôi đã có bạn - I’ve Got You”
So why is the ritual of the Crucible so crucial to Karma’s story? First of all, it demands conviction. It demands that Xuân reckon with the conundrum of whether her full spiritual independence is worth the risk her brother poses to the community around her. And yes, it demands brutality because the foundational principle of the Crucible is rooted in violence, the premise that paradise should never come easily, even to those who deserve it, because it is simply worth so much.
In the Crucible scenes, Ayala and Reis combine to great effect to simultaneously create a violent intensity and gentle intimacy to the fight. The pacing ebbs and flows as Xuân’s creeping doubts are answered with Dani’s violence before the scene breaks away for Karma to “waver here, in this moment between breathes” as her memories of Tran as an innocent child and as a damaged man as the narrative caption boxes pose the question “who is Tran?”. The fluid, sketched panelling gives way to thick bordering on the bottom panel of the page as the reader sees Karma, sword in hand, resolved in her decision: ultimately, it is not for her to choose. Tran must be given the grace to find his own path.
The scene then ramps up to a frenetic yet almost silent crescendo as Dani stabs her with an arrow. Throughout this scene, when the narrative is from the two central figures’ perspectives, the background is dark pink, symbolising Karma’s internality, while everyone else is faded out. It’s just the two of them together, dancing to a song of violence written with pure love. The issue’s closing scene is a moving testament to the love between them, with Karma flirting with Dani as they stare into each other’s eyes in a way that brings us back to first principles: friendship and romance are fluid among the New Mutants, but what is clear is their deep affection for one another.
Other than the potential romantic elements, Ayala’s decision to have Dani be Xuân’s partner is a smart one in that Dani is probably the most self-actualised of the New Mutants. In the original New Mutants series, she was the first to lose her powers, the first to succumb to her trauma in the form of the Demon Bear and therefore the first to be saved by the found family around her. The passing on of care from one community to member to another is contrasted in later issues where the New Mutants talk to the Shadow King about breaking the cycle of trauma and replacing it with something more productive. By separating herself from the pain of her past, symbolised by the influence of her brother, she finally has complete autonomy: freedom to be who she wants but also to pay the kindness forward to others, which she is able to do with Cosmar in a later issue.
So when Karma is resurrected with her prosthetic leg still in place, accompanied by the narrative caption box of “Welcome Home”, the message is loud and clear: mutant paradise is being the version of yourself that you most love and identify with, and the Crucible is the hard road to travel to get there.
The Lost Club
What is striking on a re-read is how much of this issue is dedicated to the Lost Club and the debate between Gabby Kinney and Cosmar about the efficacy of the Shadow King’s promise to restore the mutants to their idealised self. The scenes are very dialogue heavy, which weigh down the issue slightly, but they are important and completely on theme.
The Lost Club, and Cosmar in particular, present an alternative viewpoint on the theme of self-acceptance. If Karma’s decision to resurrect herself with her prosthesis still in place is a strong message of rejecting disability as something to be fixed, Cosmar’s experience is perhaps an allegory for body dysmorphia or more specifically gender dysphoria. The pop philosophy of self-acceptance generally argues that a person should accept themselves for who they are, which implies a rigidity of identity shaped by a patriarchal view of gender. The point that the children with visible mutations like Cosmar, Anole and Rain Boy make to Gabby is that what if what you see in the mirror prevents you from expressing who you are? How can one accept a version of oneself that is false?
Ayala is challenging a generally held belief in X-Men continuity, perpetuated by the Krakoa era, that possessing a mutant power is necessarily a gift. In the past this notion has generally been challenged by mutants whose powers are destructive, like Rogue or an even more extreme case like Glow Worm, but this comic explicitly is not interested in that. This is about the person behind the powers, and not just whether or not they look “different” from others. This comic is interrogating ways in which people look different from how they perceive themselves, and in that way is an interesting examination of body dysmorphia at the very least.
So while the Crucible scene is a beautiful example of how a community can support the individual, the Lost Club plot is about what happens when a community fails its citizens. The Shadow King, although characterised fairly sympathetically in this run, represents the systems that exploit those left vulnerable by lack of community care. Without spoiling what happens in future issues the seeds of this plot’s central argument are laid here: while they don’t always get it right, the New Mutants have their fellow citizens best interests at heart, and are a positive example of an inclusive and accepting community.
However, the point made by Magik in her letter to the Quiet Council gets to the root of the issue: local communities need the support of central government to best serve its citizens. In an economic and political climate in which vital funding and protective legislation for communities and their vulnerable citizens are being gutted to fund genocide and war, the idealism of Krakoa was always fated to be just another utopia.

Kid!Clark Refused to Protect Kid!Lex?
You know I’ve seen a slight pattern between certain Superman-related stories whereby it’s been implied or outright stated that Clark Kent and Lex Luthor not only both grew up together/both lived in Smallville, but at times were actual close friends there too, yet Lex is beaten and abused (possibly at random) by his horrendous father/parents and Clark, even while dressed as Superboy...does nothing to stop it...?
I don’t know if it’s a case of me misunderstanding the situations or if Clark just always thought there was nothing he could do about it; however, the idea that he literally heard Lex in pain as he was tormented everyday, but refused to help him in anyway—refused to lift a finger for him or do literally anything at all for Lex when Lex was a child—is such a deeply disturbing one for me (made worse when you consider how many other cases like this involving other children that Clark may have ignored the plight of over the years) that it pushes me to put their entire relationship in the stories where it happens, under the microscope.
In a way, it could be argued that Clark inadvertently helped instigate Lex’s narcissistic, cynical and (sometimes self-) destructive ways. After all, if not even the angelic, protector-of-all that was Superboy would come to his rescue...then who would? And what’s stopping that protector from failing other children the world over? Why even stop at extreme child abuse? Why not let everything but the most destructive of acts go unpunished, huh, Superman? (Keep in mind that I’m not the only one who has taken note of this probably-accidental flaw of Superman’s morality/character.)
Even as recently as one of the recent issues of Action Comics from this year, Lex berates Superman for not revealing his identity to him which Lex claimed would have helped him by making him feel less alone. I interpreted that to be a reference to how a lot of versions of Lex grew up feeling ‘like an alien’ on their own planet, but come to think of it, what if Lex was implying in that moment of the comic that he was abused for being different/extremely intelligent? I don’t think there’s any main-storyline version of Lex from the past 20 - 35 years that hasn’t been horribly mistreated by their parents so it’s safe to assume that he was referencing this in particular, if not a combination of it and the aforementioned and or other things too, I reckon.
And you know what answer Clark gives after Lex calls him out on that? None! He doesn’t even give an explanation! Is it because he doesn’t think Lex deserves one, or that they both know that’s just the excuse Lex is giving for his continued sickening actions? Or...could it be because Clark himself doesn’t know why he (when he was admittedly younger and more vulnerable himself, though never to the point of human weakness) abandoned Lex to his parents’ cruelty and expected the poor boy to fend for himself? If Clark knew what was going on then why didn’t he protect Lex when they were children? Why didn’t he at least fly up to Lionel as Superboy and yell at him to never hurt Lex again or else? Why didn’t he do anything? Why, why, WHY?
Imagine how great it would be for Lex Luthor’s and especially Clark’s characters, to finally have questions like this answered? Is Superman as super as we thought he was? Does he feel remorse for not being there for his childhood friend when Lex needed him most? I’m sorry but, you can’t just have Superman hear child abuse and do nothing about it without an explanation, writers! I honestly think this is another example of a goldmine of potentially good, compelling story-telling that DC Comics could easily tap into and utilize very well but of course, probably won’t.
Oh well. AC and especially Superman Comics have been looking mighty interesting lately. It looks as though they have a lot to give in the future, so maybe it’s not such a big loss. Also, they can always go back to a plot idea like this at a later date. The few times they’ve tried to implement this into a Superman book in the last few decades, it more or less hasn’t worked, but I don’t think it’s because it can’t work. Like really, I believe this could be made into an amazing, award-worthy comic story!

PERSONALITY:
Licia is an aggressive, cold-hearted and vexed, yet cunning, serious, and intelligent woman. She likes to be alone rather than with her allies with an exception of being with Dragomir and take a smoke together to relax at some point. She is focus and a fighter herself ever since she got into a fight with thugs when her friend Armando got hurt. Before the events of the Aether timeline, Licia was a caring and loving daughter and sister to her family and very relaxed but sometimes she gets a bit frustrated whenever Marcel, Armando, or Javier get into some trouble. Lena, her Primis counterpart, tends to point out her personality not suitable for being a medic which she calls Licia "The Fallen Angel". She doesn't like getting hugs or simply hates physical touch in general but deep down, she isn't used to get a lot of affection after the death of her family and Armando which makes her distant to others.
BACKGROUND:
Licia is the eldest daughter of the Villanueva-Buenavista Family as she is born in Tondo, Manila, Philippines. Being the eldest, she is a responsible sister to her sibling Agatha as she is also an intelligent one. Licia was praised for her academic performance in school in which she aims to be enrolled in one of the prestigious schools in the country. Licia met Marcel and his cousin Armando, who has a crush on her, in a furniture shop where her father was looking for a brand new closet. In highschool, she met Javier and Leonora who was in the same section that she was in and made friends with the two. She is mostly the one who would back up the boys whenever they get in trouble and later scolds the three for causing some problems by getting into fights from thugs. Years later, Licia became a nurse and wanted to proceed to become a doctor. While she was trying to, the war broke out in the country as she went to join the Nurse Corps Reserve. Her family was at Bataan where they were staying at her aunt's house as the Japanese took the province. Licia was also caught while trying to hide from them as she was part of the Bataan Death March where she met her friend Armando as he was plotting to escape and ran to the nearest forest possible to hide from the Japanese. Licia agreed as she and her friend saw Marcel and Javier was also caught and involved on the march. The 4 successfully escaped as they ran on the forest soon after, but Licia saw her family are about to get killed and tries to save them, but it was too late. Armando stopped her and the twi rides a horse that they saw and flee from their captors. Licia was devastated as she felt guilty for not saving her family, Armando tries his best to comfort Licia for the lost of her family. They went on to look for Marcel and Licia until the both of them were ambushed by the Japanese as they tried to hide from them, Licia was holding her rifle as Armando looks at her and tells her his feelings before giving her a kiss then went to distract the Japanese for Licia to escape. She ran as far as she could but still was captured by the Japanese. She saw Armando getting killed as she was taken away from him soon after. She was imprisoned and tortured as she begins to breakdown to tears as she slowly loses hope while she was sent to be experimented by Division 9, then to be sent once more to Group 935. She later joins with Richtofen with 0 trust on him and tries to plot on killing him, together with Arthur and Dragomir.

Comic: The Missing
This post belongs to the series DA comic. The main intention is to collect the basic story of the comic and highlight any potential lore concept that may be of interest and may be explored later in the game series.
This post has the following points:
Story
Relevant Details
Characters: a big cameo of various chars from the Tevinter Nights book
Lore
In the Lore section:
We have more details that keep reinforcing the idea that Solas knows very well how The Blight and the darkspawn work. This implies that this problem may have been older than we think.
The forest of Arlathan shows symptoms of having been a place deeply entangled with the Fade and the Veil in its creation. Since Solas is performing a long-time spell to destroy the Veil, the forest has been behaving chaotically in the recent time.
Veil Jumpers: group of Dalish mages and hunters and other non-elf people who try to contain the dangers that this alteration in the forest causes.
Shadow Dragons: Tevinter group that helps people in need inside the city [this includes elves].
The list of Tevinter cities under Qunari invasion increases: Carastes, Ventus, Neromenian, and now Vyrantium are all under Qunari attack.
Potential speculation that relates Arlathan to a city that was sunk, the Black City, and the Horror of Hormak. All this related to Blood Magic as well.
Another artefact has appeared: the crucious stone. We know nothing about it or its powers.
In the forest, there are paths where gravity works different than usual, people may age or return to their younger version as they walk through, and some spirits may force a temporary posession while the soul of the owner of the body is pulled away from their body [this last concept is a very annoying inconsistency with the usual concept of poseession in DA lore, in my opinion]
Two murals appeared: the central part of the famous “The Destruction of the Veil“ [without the figures of Meredith, Corypheus, and the archdemons] and another with two figures wearing dragon-like attires. Details inside the post.
[Index page of Dragon Age Lore]
Story
Basically, Varric and Scout Harding are after Solas to stop him. Varric wants to speak and knock some sense into him; Harding more like sinking an arrow in his head.
As they explore different places while following Solas’ tracks, we find several characters from the book Tevinter Nights. When they explore the Deep Roads, we meet the pair of Grey Wardens from the book: the female dwarf Evka and the male city-elf Antoine.
When they head to Vyrantium [Tevinter], now invaded by the Qunari, they find a powerful person turned into stone, showing how close is Solas. Here, we meet the Crows that killed Francesca’s brother: Teia and Viago, both of them also present in the Tevinter Nights book [they survived a Qunari plot that almost assasinated all the Talons, aka the heads of all the main houses of the Antiva Crows]. They had come to Vyrantium to kill the person who is now stone. They join Harding and Varric’s investigation in order to learn about the person who did it so they have explanations to give to the Crows.
Their investigation leads them to go to the Arlathan Forest, where “magic has run wild for the last thousand years”. They discover that Solas is after another artefact that we can speculate is similar to the red lyrium idol: an ancient elvhen artefacts of great power called the crucious stone.
Here is where the most juicy part of the lore comes: the exploration of the forest of Arlathan
The forest of Arlathan is chaotic and twisted, with paths floating and turning up-side down. Magic runs truly wild in here.
Before venturing forth, Varric and Harding meet another character from the Tevinter Nights: the mysterious elf Strife, who appears now with a Vallaslin of Andruil. We are introduced to the concept of the Veil Jumpers, which name is more dramatic than what they truly are. They are not “veil jumpers” technically, they are not violating the rule of “walking physically into the Fade”, but apparently, they walk “inside” the Veil that is part of Arlathan Forest, whatever that means. They know the ways of the Forest [they even have a detailed map of it]. The forest has been deeply affected by the creation of the Veil, and it’s similarly twisted like the Shattered Library in the Crossroads. What we can say with some degree of certainty is that this place has been deeply entangled with the Fade, hence the creation of the Veil, and probably the destruction of the city of Arlathan, caused this brutal disarrangement in it, going wild since the preparation of the Destruction of the Veil by Solas.
Since the Veil Jumpers know about the artefact that Solas plans to take [which is inside a ruined temple deep into the forest] and the danger that the Venatori who are behind Solas represent, they join forces with Varric and Harding in order to help them walk along the forest .
Clearly, their map shows that the path will be wild: there are part of the travel where their souls are taken while their bodies are temporarily possessed, others where they age as they step through, or walk upside down as if gravity works different here.
Finally, they reach to the ruined temple and find out that Solas was there already. We know that he even painted a mural, the famous “The Destruction of the Veil“. It is not clear if this mural was painted recently and the chaotic magic of this place made it look aged, or it was painted long time ago, when the Temple was pristine.
In the temple, Solas left a letter where he explains that Varric and company don’t understand what’s happening. Solas also says that he will try to reduce the damage that his plans will cause as much as possible. As usual with these plots, we never know what’s going on exactly because the character who knows it considers us not enough to fully understand it.
It’s curious that so far, we know about two elvhenan artefacts that are related to alterations of the Veil. Maybe they were part of the creation of the Veil, so it makes sense for Solas to know so well their location and their importance in the process of destroying the Veil: The red lyrium idol was in the depth of a lost, odd Thaig, close to Kirkwall, where the Veil is the thinnest, and the crucious stone is located in the core of a Forest that was deeply entangled with the Fade and the Veil.
Without stop, the dwarves now go to Miranthous, the capital of Tevinter, where we find yet another char that was mentioned [but never seen] in the book Tevinter Nights: Neve Gallus; a private investigator and mage, who knows all what’s happening in the city. They learn that Solas passed through the city, helped to free some slave elves, and ended up using the dwarves to prevent the Venatori from recapturing them. This part of the comic is quite shallow in my opinion, with nothing interesting to highlight in terms of lore [beside the apparent existance of a group called the Shadow Dragons]. It contains a lot of “action” scenes that are not that great to see in comic style, in my opinion.
The last page of the comic clearly shows the cliffhanger of what will be the main protagonist of DA:D, a person who is unknown to Solas.
Relevant details
Why the title? I guess the Missing (person) represents Solas, the character that Varric and Scout Harding are after.
Time: After the DLC Tresspasser. I assume this because Varric is Viscount of Kirkwall and everyone is after Solas.
Places: Vyrantium is, like the other Tevinter cities [such as Carastes, Ventus, and Neromenian], under Qunari invasion. We also visit the forest of Arlathan.
Characters: There is a group of characters that appear in the comic and belonged to the book, but they are not explored deeply. It’s basically a cameo of each of them: the Grey wardens Evka and Antoine, the Crows Teia and Viago, the mysterious elf Strife, and the mentioned Tevinter private investigator and mage Neve Gallus.
Lore: The most important part of the comics; what can they provide in terms of lore?
We have a reinforcement of the concept that Solas knows a lot about the Blight: like Flemeth, he knows how to keep the darkspawn far away from him [similar to how Flemeth’s hut was free of darkspawns as long as she was around]. Morrigan told us in DAO that it was part of Flemeth’s magical tricks. Maybe it was something related to Mythal’s nature, which now is part of Solas’ too.
Vyrantium is under Qunari invasion. This gives us an idea that Tevinter is being invaded by the Qunari with little resistance due to the inner fight against the Venatori. Tevinter is falling apart, fighting two wars at the same time; an external one against the Qunari and an internal one against the Venatori. This situation is extremelly dangerous for everyone in Thedas: if Tevinter falls, Thedas knows that they would have no other force to hold the line against the Qunari [we were informed about this in comic: Magekiller]. The situation is dire. So far we know, Carastes, Ventus, Neromenian, and now Vyrantium are all under the Qunari control.
Shadow Dragons: A Tevinter group that Neve Gallus helps; they apparently help people in need [this includes elves]. It’s not clear how and why, but seems to show, in contrast with the usually cartoonish evil Tevinter that we see, a group of Tevinters that want a better and kinder country. I guess it’s a concept that will be developed later in the DA:D game.
Arlathan Forest
If we compare the Forest of Arlathan with all the strange things we saw in the Eluvian network but mainly in the Shattered Library [check the posts of the Crossroads in DA: Inquisition] we can conclude that they behave similarly, so we can assume that the Fade was deeply entangled with the forest, left to chaos when the Veil was created. This makes us pull a very easy conclusion with all the lore about Arlathan that we had via Solas and Felassan [read Felassan and bits of lore]: This Forest may have been where the original Arlathan was built. Thanks to some more-or-less “reliable” sources [read Tarohne, the Fell Grimoire, and Xebenkeck], we know this city was where the blood magic was originated, from a Seeker’s point of view [keep this detail in mind].
Thanks to Felassan’s words, we know this city was strongly dependent of magic, and potentially, of Fade itself [like the Shattered Library]. The unreliable tales of the Dalish claim that the city was “sunk” by Tevinter [read Arlathan’s codices in Ancient Elven codices; Din'an Hanin– Elgar’nan Bastion]. But on the other hand, we know that Solas colapsed a place where the Evanuris unleashed terrible things [read the main codex of “The Death of a Titan”], so there is potential lore that may link Arlathan as the place where terrible things were done by the Evanuris, and later it was collapsed, in similar fashion as we read about the The Horror of Hormak in the book. We also know that Arlathan seemed to be related to blood magic, which is a school that can produce horrors if misused [more details that may allow us to link it with similar horrors than the ones present in The Horror of Hormak ]. So, if Arlathan was sunk, or removed from existance [some people consider Arlathan is the Black City even though I can’t find any link or argument in favour nor against it], its magical nature may have been related to the Fade and, once removed/collapsed, it altered this place deeply, especially with the mofidications in the Veil that is experiencing now [Solas is performing a long-time spell to destroy the Veil].
Additional information can be found in the short story called Ruins of Reality:
We learn that Arlathan Forest has been behaving chaotically only recently, so we can suspect it’s related to Solas’ magic: he is performing a spell to destroy the Veil which takes some years [he implied that in Tresspasser’s ending, when he justifies that he helped the Inquisitor to avoid the Qunari invasion because he wanted to give Thedas some years of comfort before releasing the chaos that the destruction of the Veil will produce].
The forest shows alternate images of Strife; they are echos that have premonitory characteristics: they may show what is going to happen to him in few seconds.
Apparently, Strife is not a city-elf, but a Dalish from the clan Morlyn [but there are also implicit information linking him to the Excecutioners too, so maybe he “entered” the clan as a cover agent? It’s hard to specualte about Strife with the little info we have].
“His” clan had a leatherbound journal which started to write itself, describing sacred ruins in Arlathan Forest that guarded an artifact of fabled power. This is the crucious stone we see in the comic. Curiously, this journal sounds a lot like the book we find in a codex of DA2: The Emergent Compendium.
One of the Veil Jumpers claims that this Forest is the Veil itself, and thanks to the short story, we can assume that these anomalies are recent: they have started since Solas may have begun the spell to destroy the Veil [every previous interpretration keeps making sense].
In Arlathan Forest, like in the Shattered Library [ Inverted Ward], we have places where we walk “upside down”.
However, there are effects that are unique of Arlathan Forest like spirits stealing your body, so you have to run after them for a good part of the path. Personally, this feels a bit of crappy lore. We never had lore in DA series that could explain or even suggest/suspect this, or could be close to this mechanism: possession [of a living creature] is a merge between the body’s soul and the spirit/demon, in the same body, and it’s hard to undo it. The Avvar have shown that it’s possible after an exhausting ritual [Sigrid’s quest explains about this part of the lore, check Stone-Bear Hold Avvars - Part 1]. Besides, this situation violates deeply the strong lore concept that possession cannot be performed unwillingly as we see it happens with Harding and Varric: they are not exactly informed to “allow” this temporal possession beforehand. One of the Veil Jumpers explains this only after Varric and Harding are “body-less” souls. Details like these make me question how much lore-consistent the DA:D game will end up being. Are we going to have a lot of crappy out-of-nowhere lore just to make a story that they can sell to new players while assuming the old ones are going to consume it no matter what? Anyways.
There are also parts where people age suddenly, because “time runs chaotically”.
We also see a unique Varterral [details in DLC: Witch Hunt] that looks nothing alike the ones we know from the lore:
creatures made out of stone and bark, that one can even suspect that they may be related to experiments similar to the ones performed in The Horror of Hormak. As usual, the Varterral is protecting something: in this case, the artefact [crucious stone] hidden in the ruined temple.
Finally, when we reach the Temple, two murals are seen: the central part of the famous “The Destruction of the Veil“ [without the figures of Meredith, Corypheus, and the archdemons], and another where we see two humanoids wearing dragon-like attires [Evanuris maybe?, one of them may potentially be Mythal?].
Mural of The destruction of the Veil
This mural is the central part of the one we saw in the trailer promotioning the game under the name of Dreadwolf. A detailed analysis of it can be found in “The Destruction of the Veil“.
This mural in this ruined temple may or may not be the same one we saw in the trailer, where Solas touches the wall. I have mixed feelings about this idea. On one hand, it makes sense that Solas may have reached this place in the Arlathan Forest and may have processed what he has to do through a mural, since it is his way to deal with his [lesser evil] decisions. We speculated about this in “The Creation of the Veil” and in “The Death of a Titan”. It’s also specualted in “The Dragon Slain” in “The actions of the Inquisitor”.
Solas is a character who wanted to learn and teach more than leading rebellions and giving orders [Cole says this in Tresspasser in his line: "Bare-faced but free, frolicking fighting, fierce. He wants to give wisdom, not orders"]. He has been changing over the centuries as the Evanuris pushed the situation to a point of no turning back with the assasination of Mythal. Now, he has to destroy the Veil and unleash the sealed Evanuris to deal with them for good, and also to contain and erradicate the “true” evil that has been hidden behind the thickest barrier of DA lore: the true danger to the world contained in the Black City [considering how much he knows about The Blight and is against it, I imagine this ultimate evil is related to the Blight]. However, it is not clear if this mural is contemporaneous but looking old due to the chaotic nature of time inside the Arlathan Forest, or it’s indeed an old mural, painted ages ago.
In any case, the big difference between the mural we saw in the trailer and the one we see in the comic is that, in the later, there are no Corypheus, Meredith, nor archdemons. This detail made me wonder if this mural is as old as the temple itself. If so, it would mean that this was a “to-do-later” task; an “unstoppable” ending that Solas saw coming when he sealed the Evanuris. He may have known that this was a needed action that would requiere a solution eventually. He only borrowed time to Thedas.
If we think that he sealed the Evanuris in the Black City [with Andruil probably Blighted already, as her codex seems to suggest in Ancient Elven codices, Temple of Mythal], he may accidentally created the red lyrium, and put Great Dragons as guardians of the acess to this place [creatures who are resistant to the Blight but not immune, details in “The Creation of the Veil”]. One can suspect that Solas always knew that his creation of the Veil was a temporary solution, a trick to hold the big evil and give him time to plan and recover energy to truly deal with it in the future. For that, he needed the energy that the orb would gather for a millenia [but Corypheus wasted and broke].
Under this interpretation, the mural we see in the trailer would be a “redrawn” of the mural he did back in that time in the ruined temple of Arlathan Forest. In this recent version, he acknowledges two figures that were not a danger in ancient times: Meredith and Corypheus. Meredith somehow showed that Templars could use the power of the Red Lyrium [she showed how much power they can drawn from it; after all, Templars are the only ones who can use it without immediatelly die as common people do; we can conclude this from the many notes and codices related to experiments of red lyrium in Western Approach and Emprise du Lion]. Corypheus took the power of the orb and ended up destroying it. So now, Fen’Harel will need the help of the remaining Archdemons [if they are not blighted yet] and the remaining power of Mythal [within him], to erradicate the true Evil of the world [and avenge Mythal in the process? Flemeth wanted that for her].
So, in a short summary, we can assume two speculations about when this mural was drawn:
This mural was painted long time ago, probably by the time of the creation of the Veil and the caging of the Evanuris. Solas acknowledged that there was a bigger evil trapped in the Black City that should be eventually deal with it. This idea concords with the lack of figures such as Corypheyus and Meredith [they were not even born yet]. This speculation implies that Solas redrew this mural later [in the Dreadwolf trailer] with the additional characters who accelerated the need to deal with the Veil. I personally like this idea, although it adds inconsistency to previous interpretations [such as the potentiallity that the image of Fen’Harel with silvery-blue eyes was because he had absorved Mythal’s powers]. This could not be possible since back then, Solas was not aware that he will need to absorb Mythal’s powers to deal with this evil.
This mural was painted recently, but the chaotic nature of the Forest made it look aged and cropped parts of it, leaving only the central part of the original illustration. I don’t like this idea at all. The Magic of the forest is wild, but seems ridiculous to assume it can cut parts of a mural just because.
Mural of the Evanuris/Dragon priests
I suspect this mural shows dragon worshippers, or dragons in humanoid form.
Design-wise, both characters have no way to show their ears or heads. We don’t know if that black thing is hair or decoration of their hats. We don’t know if they are elves either. Their sleeves have in their inner side a texture that may suggest “dragon/lizard belly/inner parts”
The green one has a face in her knee; similar design is seen in the Mythal’s Temple’s guardians and in Solas’s Fen’Harel’s attire.
The hat of the green one has strong similarity with the hat of the attire of the Tevinter Archon. Since Tevinter always worshipped dragons as gods [and the design of their clothes and cities are related to dragons most of the time, details can be seen in “outfit” section from Patterns and Styles: Tevinter], one may suspect that this char in green may be related to a dragon [because she is one of them or because she worships one]. This link makes me guess that Elvhenan worshipped dragons originally, until they took Divinity [dragon blood maybe?] for themselves.
The shape of the hat of the green one is strongly related to Andraste’s helm and Flemeth’s staff too. In a less convincing way, it may be related to the strange figure in the Deep Roads that I called moon head creature. This makes me suspect that the figure in green may be Mythal, giving comfort to another, in a motherly way, as she always was depicted. Mythal was also a [green] dragon so it does not contradict my previous statement.
The other figure wearing reddish attire has a hat with the shape of what I called Bull horn head creature. We even find an eluvian with this shape on its top that directs us to the Sundered Hall and Lower Archives in the Shattered Library. I can’t speculate who is this one. A wild, very wild speculation is the following: If the green one is Mythal, the red one may be Urthemiel, simply because Flemeth always wanted to protect Urthemiel’s soul in DA:O. But as you can see, it’s a super weak argument with no confirmation at all [and we know that Urthemiel’s symbols is not the Bull horn head creature, so this seems a very wrong speculation].
Since the strong similarity with the Archon’s attire and the lizard-like details of their sleeves, this image makes me suspect that these two characters are wearing dragon-icon outfits, probably related to worshipping dragons. I consider this because we can make an analogy with another culture of Dragon-worshipping: Tevinter has designs where normal Tevinter people wears Archdemons/Dragon iconography as part of their outfit [check “Outfits” section in Patterns and Styles: Tevinter].
If each Evanuris worshipped a dragon, and tried to imitate/earn their powers and shape [the shape of the divine], we know that Mythal did not need that since she was a dragon herself. This would imply that she was, alongside the other Old Gods, another Great Dragon that was part of the group that later was understood as the Old Gods/Archdemons. The fact that she represents herself may be related to the strange addition in DAI that may have existed a 8th dragon among the Old Gods that represented simply a dragon [Constellation: Draconis]. It’s worth noting that this 8th dragon is seen more as a serpentine dragon, and serpentine is the shape that Mythal took to fight Andruil [read the codex of Andruil in Ancient Elven codices, Temple of Mythal].
So, with all these details, I find myself inclined to think that these two were two Evanuris or two Old Gods.
In the case of the Evanuris, they were worshipping or trying to have the “divine shape” [in an attire] of the dragons that controlled the skies when there was only “one song”. Dragons are, after all, “the blood of the world” [details in The Silent Grove, Those Who Speak, and Until We Sleep]
In the case of being Old Gods, the green one could be Mythal, considered the 8th Old God [the serpentine dragon] that was erased somehow, while the red one could be any other. One could suspect Urthemiel, but the shape of the hat has nothign to do with the symbol of Urthemiel that we know for sure.
As a last speculation that has no arguments to sustain itself: another potential identity for the one in red may be Dirthamen. We saw in the Fade of Flemeth: Part 2, that she has a statue of Dirthamen in a central position, bleeding, and in a design that implies that he may have been betrayed too. Dirthamen is the only one with almost no codices and iconography in most of the game [since most of it is always co-opted by Falon’Din, the best example of it is the Temple of Dirthamen Part 1 - Part 2, which has no mosaic of Dirthamen, ironically]. I always had the impression that Dirthamen was the only other Evanuris who, beside Mythal, could work in a positive way with Solas. But that’s basically my argument here: the lack of negative narrations of Dirthamen against Mythal does not necesarily mean that they were allies.

Note
The thing that gets me in the movies is “what is the reason why JD kept the stupid funderdrawers that Clay didn’t even want” i know it’s like a gag but treating it seriously is funny and I can think of only two potential reasons why he both made Clay wear them and also kept them afterwards.
the first one is that they were like a brand name thing advertised to kids that 8 year old Clay saw when shopping and he begged JD to buy for him and John was like “I’m not buying a 3 pack that costs $60 no way” and Clay begged and JD told him he’d buy them but they had to last for at least like 3 years at that price. And 1 month later Clay was sick of them and JD was like “tough shit bro” cause he was also an immature preteen at that age. He found them when he went back to the tree and kept them because they had belong to Clay and reminded him of how stupid that whole thing was. despite the fact that they were a biohazard and he eventually ended up putting them in a display when he got an intervention from his friends for his hoarding problem and had to organize all his memorabilia in a way that didn’t result in giant piles on the floor.
The other option is that the company that sold em was one of the brozone sponsors and somehow wearing em was part of Clays contract as a celebrity. And that Clay had like a million pairs of them one of which ended up in JDs stuff when he went back to the tree and grabbed a bunch of stuff and he was missing his brothers who he thought were all dead and he couldn’t bear to throw them out because they belonged to his dead brother despite the fact that they were a biohazard and he eventually ended up putting them in a display when he got an intervention from his friends for his hoarding problem and had to organize all his memorabilia in a way that didn’t result in giant piles on the floor.
Anyway this is thinking way to deeply on a movie gag that is admittedly a semi important plot point in the film but I think it’s interesting to consider that JD probably had a hoarding problem of some kind because he had literally all the childhood stuff from grandmas pod with him in Rhonda. It’s definitely one thing to take important memories but JD clearly took almost everything and still had it by the start of the third movie at least 20 years later, Poppy did not notice any indication in that pod that 5 childhoods went through there which is why she didn’t suspect that branch was part of brozone or that he had siblings. 5 boys living in a small house together is not a easy thing to hide evidence of… like John must have took literally everything in the pod that belonged to one of his brothers or contained some sort of reference to his little brothers his parents or himself with him he only didn’t take his grandmas macrame with him cause that was like one of the only personal items in the pod besides the one Brozone record of the failed performance that John presumably didn’t want to take.
Ngl I could totally see the first one happening. I actually have four younger siblings and I’ve seen this wayyyyy too many times. Granted, my parents had a better grasp on the term no though lol But I imagine it's different for parentified siblings - especially really young teen siblings
As for the concept of JD having a hoarding problem I actually have a really hard time seeing that. Dude has been perpetually camping and hiking for 20 years. And sure, Rhonda is big and stuff but I honestly can’t see him having that type of problem with what he does.
I think he took everything he possibly could because he thought they were dead. We know at VERY LEAST he thought Branch was dead. My guess is since he didn’t know everyone else left the tree, he probably thought they were dead too.
That kind of devastation and grief - especially for someone like JD who really loves his brothers - I can’t even imagine. I would probably try to take everything I could that was theirs too. It probably wasn’t a methodical thing either, like him going through stuff to see what he wanted to take. It was probably more like just grabbing anything he could.
#this was interesting to think about#me ever thinking about JD taking all the stuff in the pod because he thought everyone dead just makes me sob#cause its all he had of them anymore#I am not normal about JD thinking his family is dead#ask

Transformers: Mosaic #376 - "Human Component: Minerva"
Originally posted on May 4th, 2009
Story, Art - Iván Mas Thanks to - Carlos Oliveros
deviantART | Seibertron | TFW2005 | BotTalk
wada sez: Minerva was one of the most dramatic reinventions of a Hasbro toy for the Japanese market, a complete redeco of Nightbeat into a medic’s car. Ignoring later retcons, she was the first ever toy of a female Transformer. Together with Shūta and Cab, she was one of the three schoolkids given a Master-Brace by the Autobots, which allows her to transform into a Headmaster and combine with a Transtector. Chōkon Power is involved somehow. Given that Minerva is a schoolgirl, perhaps you’re wondering why Mas has drawn her Like That. Great question! Mas’s stated justification (per the machine-translated commentary I’ve included below the break, along with some extra art) is that he found the premise of the young teens driving around saving the world too far-fetched, so he’s aged them up a bit. Sure, I guess. If we’re talking in terms of the plot of Masterforce, this strip appears to be set after the fourth episode, “Birth! Headmaster Jrs”, which has the first altercation between the Autobot and Decepticon Headmaster Juniors—but obviously Mas is adapting the story for a new audience so is at liberty to futz with this kind of thing. To paraphase a comment by Mas on deviantART, he justifies the sheer quantity of text in this strip by reminding readers that he’s writing about a story/characters most readers will have zero familiarity with, because he’s “not interested in explaining Starscream’s treachery towards Megatron, or how nice Hot Rod is”! Based?
The idea is simple, I want to introduce the main characters of Masterfroce, which outside Japan, are more or less unknown in many countries, and the series, in terms of potential, seems to me the most profitable and innovative.
Personally I have always wanted to face Transformers in a more serious and adult way, more in line with these times, I think that the younger audience already has its "Animated" and will always have the classic series.
I also think that it would be relatively easy to make Transformers a good comic of say "superheroes or robots" and I mean a comic that both Transformers and non Transformers fans would like. And I think it would be easy to put it at the level of ... maybe some x-men (?!) ( sacrilegeee!!!! ) ( not in terms of sales volume, that's logical, but in essence ).
Another of the "problems" that I feel transformers comics have in general is that at graphic level the robots are indeed very well, but that’s all.... when it comes to drawing backgrounds or humans ........... let's be frank although it annoys us, in the comic world, nobody takes transformers as something serious, it is considered a sub-product ( never better said "SUB" ) to simply sell dolls, of course, so far they have done well.
In the mosaic, first of all I tried to create the same feeling I had with Masterforce when I saw it,
- really, this is transformers ? no robots ! -
So, in none of these mosaics I'm going to introduce anything related to robots, although of course, they are an important or fundamental part of the theme.
But before we talked about giving an adult touch to the theme, and in this aspect, I am more interested in what the "souls" of the robots may think, which in this case is the function that humans do, in order to be able to understand better the metallic beings.
But in this aspect I always give the same example... in "the walking dead" the main thing should be the zombies, however they end up being something secondary... and nobody will deny that the series is more than good.
However in this Mosaic, those of you who know Masterforce will have noticed.... in the series, Minerva was not so grown up.... well, I have done it for coherence, the eighties were another thing, but today, it would be too far-fetched, even within the far-fetched nature of the story, that a girl of 15 years not only drove a car, without being stopped by the police, but also save lives and worlds, with the maturity that presumably entails.
Masterforce is also not a new twist to the same, which would be easy and what every X time is already done, but a new concept, an evolution of robots and characters, far are the already "incarcerated and typical" Prime and Megatron, beings to which I have great respect and appreciation, but I consider that neither the fans of Transformers or any series can live forever of the same characters, even more when they are so well known, in this case,
Wolverine is a good example, nowadays it is very difficult to create something surprisingly good and new with Wolverine and even more without breaking the different continuities.
Or Batman too... to create something that really catches the attention, they have had to kill Bruce Wayne .....
I know that I run the risk that many because people don’t see robots, they won’t be interested interested in the story, but without wanting to seem offensive, that’s your problem, we have been watching Prime and Megatron for 25 years..... and I'm starting to get a little tired, and besides even at the time Masterforce was better than the original G.1 in almost all concepts, in animation, character design, drawing and scripting.
So, I hope that people can discover and enjoy Masterforce and I hope that those who already know it can "open" their mind a little and they will like it, if not... they will always have Prime and Megatron.

Okay idea, TMNT2012 x Sweet tooth
Mikey (10) as Gus
Casey (18) as Jep
Karai (20) as Bear
Shini (20) as Tiger
Donnie (18) as Aditya Singh
April (20) as Rani Singh
(theyre more like found family not romantic partners tho)
Shredder/ Oroku Saki (old as dirt) as Douglas Abott
Leo (16) as Wendy
Raph (13) as Tommy (could change)
Jennika (adult idk what age // yeah i know shes not a part of 2012 but shjh) as Aimee Eden
Splinter (deceased lmfao) as Pubba (Richard Fox)
Tan Shen as Birdie
and thats as far as ive gotten
Few things i have changed, Both Hamato Yoshi and Tan Shen were scientists who worked together and eventually fell in love and started a family their oldest Miwa, second oldest Donatello, Middle child Leonardo, second youngest Raphael and youngest Michelangelo. Yoshi had always known Martial Arts and taught his children when they were old enough to learn. Yoshi and Shen being home mutagen that is highly dangerous bc they dont know shit abt it yet. Donnie having a love for science and wanting to impress his mom takes it upon himself to go and investigate it which prompts his siblings to want to check it out too. Raph having an obsession with turtles brings his pet to come watch and Mikey crawls in (hes around 1-2 ish at the time). The mutagen spills mutating all the brothers but in different ways: Donnie only gets a turtle shell with all his other features being relatively human like, Raph gets mutated into a half turtle half human hybrid (like regular 2012 raph), Leo has turtle like limbs with the rest of his torso and head being human like, and mikey gets mutated into a half human half turtle hybrid like raph since he was exposed to it super young. Miwa finds them and calls for her parents who at first freak out and then try to find the cause of the mutation to turn their children back. (I havent fleshed out what the virus would be but lets just say the kraang had something to do with it) Then the government starts freaking out about the virus which causes chaos and once they find the mutated brothers they arrest tan shen and Don, Raph, and Leo leaving Miwa alone because shes human. Yoshi is in his lab monitoring Mikey because hes still a baby and just got mutated. Once he catches wind of the arrests he flees into the woods with mikey thinking that Miwa is safe. She wasnt and she and donnie were separated from their mother, raph and leo (who escaped). Oroku Saki being the person people go to for answers sees the potential in Donnies smarts and Miwas skills and decides to keep Donnie alive because of it having his partial mutation be a manipulation point for him and giving him to a wealthy and smart family where he can continue to advance in his studies (the o’neils) while oroku trains Miwa. After a few years of training under oroku miwa and her girlfriend Harmony escape and decided to form their own pack of children who lost their parents the foot clan and train them in martial arts they were taught. Both change their names Miwa becomes Karai and Harmony becomes Shinigami
During the shake down Casey Jones’ younger sister was born her being a hybrid (plot hole i will patch up later) which causes him to freak out
Back with Mikey and Yoshi, Yoshi changes his name to splinter as to not associate himself with his scientific discovery gone wrong and trains mikey for 10 years of his life also telling him stories of how life was and his family before all this happened until Casey finds Mikey and Splinter (dead), Mikey who has grown up with the sense that there was more to the world than what splinter told him wants to go and see for himself and find his family. Casey having a soft spot for hybrids agrees and together they travel
thats as much as im going to write bc its two am and i have school in four hours
#tmnt#tmnt 2012#tmnt au#tmnt x sweet tooth#i hacent seen anyone do this yet#if someone has @ me please#ill name it something like#Sorry i mutated#?#or something like that#the drawings look so bad but ill edit them tmrw#mwah goodnight silly gay people on my phone#i have only watched up to szn 2 ep 1#of sweet tooth#no spoils plz#artalacreep

You have the replies on your question post disabled, so am answering here — yes, the series probably would have been better to keep Artemis’ morals more loose — more moments like his amnesiac self in ‘The Opal Deception’ trying to sell out Holly would have been more welcome — you said you stopped there, so to summarise, we followed that Artemis essentially going to ‘Hell’, defeating a demon army, getting partially merged with Holly (they end up one of each other’s eyes) and stealing some of her magic, returning from Hell to find years to have passed and Artemis to have brothers now, followed up with a time travel story with the younger more villainous Artemis going up against the older one, also bringing back Opal again (every second book has Opal in it), who then escaped to the present, the story also exploring Hartemis a bit, Artemis telling his mother the truth about everything by the end — the next book also focused on the possibility of Hartemis, while Artemis dealt with his psyche being split by his guilt (and magic), giving us ‘Orion Fowl’ who tells Foaly about Holly’s “moment of passion with Artemis Fowl” to her embarrassment, before both have to go up against Root’s brother from that one short story, who as it turns out really just wanted to get back to his (elderly, human) wife, then in the last book, Opal returned, had her younger self killed, which caused everything her younger self otherwise would have created (including most modern technology) to explode on a nuclear level, bringing destruction to Haven and the world at large, used the paradox to turn herself into a god, then aimed to activate an ancient doomsday weapon to wipe out all humans, taking control over an army of ghosts surrounding said weapon, who possess everything from ducks to Juliet, to Artemis’ brothers, only for Artemis (healed of his magic-induced DID) to trick Opal into shutting the weapon down with that clone she used in ‘The Opal Deception’, killing all fairies within the range of the portal, only because Artemis had Holly’s eye, that counted him, and so he died too, after kissing Holly’s forehead. About half a year later, Foaly clones Artemis from that kiss, and his ghost possesses his clone, he does not initially remember who he is, before Holly begins to tell him the story of his life (the text of the first book, implying her to have been our omniscient narrator all along, telling Artemis his story), and that was where the series ended (not counting the sequel series about Artemis’ brothers). I wouldn’t say that any one book was necessarily better, but the journey was on an interesting-enough road to recommend taking.
Jesus Christ. (Okay, weird about the reply thing but I fixed that. I may have turned them off due to some weirdo being weird, we'll see how it goes. Hey potential future weirdos: cut out that out now.) With no personal animus against you, thank you for plot summary—that sounds absolutely dreadful, a book series completely and utterly losing the plot of what the hell it was even about. Why does Artemis need to go to Hell? I don't mean diagetically I mean... I mean the first book is very self-contained romp about a boy detective who uses his powers for selfish ends, fighting high-tech fairies for some gold using items that were uncommon in 2001 but which you can buy at Wal-Mart now. He is sarcastic, and kind of a dick, and everyone who read it had a crush on the elf, and it was great. Well, there was a shitting dwarf who sucked, but otherwise it was great. What I just read reads like the nadir of 1990s comics overreach, the period where comics—in a very short-term bid to make themselves all resemble the deconstructions of Alan Moore and the cryptofacist melodrama of Frank Miller—just did stupid shit for so long that it killed the Big Two industry forever as mainstream concern. That plot is so tiring to think about, because its substituting interesting character growth for ridiculous maximalist nonsense: including clones. We seemingly have multiple Artemis Ben Reillys running around-oh god. I have put my head between my legs in the hopes the room will stop spinning. "every second book has Opal in it" is the worst sentence you could have said. opal is so dreadful, so awful, so joyless a slog of a character. God. God. Oh young me, between this and Eragon you were so right to bail.

WIP intro: Midnight Mage
Series: Legends of Halara (book 4) Genre: high fantasy Stage: planning Era: mid 200’s (medieval cold war fantasy) Vibes: The Hunt for Red October meets Assassin’s Apprentice (yes comps suck. Yes this is the best way I can describe this one at this point in planning)
Plot
Anjet grew up just as public schools were gaining ground and common children were more able to learn about math and history as well as the basics of reading. Not that they would have gone to one anyway as a noble child, but they liked to dream of it. As it was, they were permitted to attend tutoring like their siblings, but only until they turned 11, rather than 14, because that was when they were to begin learning about the politics and economics of their position, and Anjet was never seriously considered as heir to the estate. They had a magic tutor who taught them only the very basics, leaving them to experiment on their own.
As a young adult, Anjet and their youngest sibling went to court along with an older sibling for some political business, and chose to stay. It was exciting, common then for spare nobles to seek fortunes there, and anyway it was considerably more accessible than their isolated estate. They made friends and learned new things, but hid their magic, honing it on their own and seeing how far it could go.
While at court, Anjet was introduced to Zjuk, the third of four royal children and the named heir. When they met, Zjuk seemed stiff and stressed at all times, but the two learned to have fun together. They played games and went on excursions into town. They fell in youthful love. That in itself wasn't unusual, but Anjet's determination was. They approached the Ruler, Zjuk's parent, and requested permission to be betrothed to Zjuk.
Anjet was clever, and charming, and managed to talk Kelesh Lalosh into seeing the benefit. They were so impressed by this that they made Anjet a deal: they would allow the marriage, in exchange for Anjet's service as a discreet mage. They never did find out how Ashlon knew about their ability.
This went on for some years. Anjet was happy with Zjuk, and later their three children, who they (quite unusually for the time) kept in their own rooms instead of the nursery. But they also had to do whatever magic Ashlon demanded, which escalated to spying and reporting on everyone at court, which eventually escalated to assassinations. But one day Zjuk would rule and then, Anjet told themself, it would be over and they would stop.
But Zjuk never ruled. They died in a hunting accident first. This crushed both Anjet and Ashlon, and they thought they might leave, move into one of the towns with their children—or, honestly, even without them if Ashlon insisted on keeping the potential heirs. But they never got the chance for that, because the tensions with Eng and Nita were rising and Ashlon chose to send Anjet to another court as a spy.
But in a foreign land, Anjet discovers something that threatens far more than just Halara's national security: dragons are vanishing and the world's magic is turning sour.
Characters
Anjet'urk tsu'Ad: Likes puzzle games, singing, and testing the limits of their magic. Charming and bright and has learned to demand what they need because no one will provide it for them. Over the course of the story learns to compartmentalize the part of them full of love and fun and thrills, and the part of them capable of doing what they need to in order to survive.
Rendu'ezir tsu'Ad: Anjet's younger sibling, blinded by a childhood illness and largely ignored by the rest of the family. Quiet and beautiful and serious. Never marries but has plenty of lovers over their life.
Zjuk'urk tsu'Mais: One of those heirs full of pressure because they were the only viable option out of a set of siblings who were generally a mess. Enjoys sports and riddles. Serious and quiet and tense, more like Rendu than Anjet, but feels more relaxed and happier with Anjet than anyone else.
Lalosh'eso tsu'Mais: The current ruler of Halara, Zjuk's parent (and, incidentally, Soter's child). Fiery and quick to anger, but does their best to be just. Very ends justify the means.
Ashlon'eb tsu'Mais: Anjet and Zjuk's eldest child. Much like Ashlon, and their favorite of the children. Fiery and loud and opinionated. 8 when Zjuk died, having just started school.
Sharol'eb tsu'Mais: Anjet and Zjuk's middle child. Sweet and quiet and a lover of animals, became obsessively caring after Zjuk died and Anjet pulled away, when they were 4.
Zjeni'eb tsu'Mais: Anjet and Zjuk's youngest child. Loud and funny and deflecting of any real emotion for a long time. Only 2 when Zjuk died.

hello here’s the ✨ anon <3
buckle up because oh boy this is gonna be long
it was rlly interesting reading your ramble and it didn’t align 100% with the story but was still great to read
and to clear everything up the easiet way would be to explain their entire backstory. (and i also just kinda wanna tell someone their entire backstory)
also!! rory’s bro has a name now :0
his actual name is eric but he goes by oliver because that was his dads name (also he despises his mom and she chose both rory’s/aurora‘s and his names bc she liked fairytales)
SO. first of all, yeah unfortunately rory does blame herself for her moms arrest :(( after rory & oliver’s dads death their mom started drinking, A LOT, and she was just a really shitty mother. oliver basically did everything for rory that their mom should’ve done. she only rarely did stuff for them & signed stuff for school and kindergarten and all that so nobody would see it as neglect. and one evening (rory was 8 and oliver 13 y/o) she was super drunk and so out of it she could’ve killed rory if oliver hadn’t taken the knife from her. in her mind she just wanted to cut food but she took a really sharp knife and accidentally cut rory several times. so rory (still) has multiple scars on her back & arm and was bleeding like shit so oliver called an ambulance & the police came as well and arrested their mom. at first rory actually felt kind of betrayed by her brother because she didn’t understand why he would’ve called the police to get their mom arrested (which wasn’t even his intention).but as time passed she realised it’s for the best and their better off without her, oliver despised their mom from that very moment and still does, he’ll never forgive her for hurting rory and generally ruining their childhood like that.
around a year later they moved in with their aunt & younger cousin (1 y/o at the time <3)
idk how all that fostercare stuff works but i imagine it’d take a while to get everything organised and for their aunt to be their legal guardian and everything, let’s just pretend that makes sense in my universe!!
oliver bonds with their aunt pretty quickly and after a few months managed to convince rory to do the same
and im pretty sure their aunt is their dads sister, but even if she was their moms sister that isn’t rlly a plot point that’s gonna come up so it doesn’t rlly matter
when rory’s 11 and oliver’s 16 y/o, oliver gets a boyfriend and spends more time over at his place, or generally hanging out with him (there’s potential for an oliver-focused story and idk if i’ll write that but it makes me excited!!)
and a bit after that the Asshole boy (TM) starts bullying rory, she doesn’t tell heir aunt or brother (although she genuinely trusts both of them at this point) because the guy just scared the shit out of her, i’m not sure how yet but maybe he threatened her if she went to tell anyone or something like that
and at the height of the bullying oliver breaks up with his bf so he’s already feeling miserable and rory doesn’t want to make his mood worse by telling him how shitty she’s been feeling
then at 13 and 18 y/o oliver moves in with his best friend (later boyfriend <3) and they move quite far away because oliver just wants to get out of that place that holds so many horrible memories for him
rory assured him it’s totally fine and she’s not hurt or anything (which is genuinely what she believed) and oliver wouldn’t have moved away if rory hadn’t reacted that positively
but after he moves out rory realises „oh shit i AM very hurt actually“ and first feels hurt by him leaving her and then guilty for ruining his childhood (which she blames on herself)
she doesn’t answer his letters or calls but oliver still regularly talks to their aunt and always makes sure that rory’s alright. and when he hears that she isn’t, he sends a nice letter or a funny postcard or a cool drawing or ANYTHING that he thinks might cheer her up, he knows from their aunt that rory reads and cherished every letter, even if she doesn’t reply
(and later in the story there’ll be a loooot of sibling bonding it’ll be so good. but that’s not in the present that’s like in the future of the story, and not the main plot of floryn & rory’s love story
in the present day rory’s 15, oliver’s 20 & their lil cousin is 7 years old <3
for rory he’s basically a little brother and they have a really sweet bond
and she’s also really happy that she lives with her aunt now, cause her aunt is awesome and supportive and she loves her and i love her
okay this ended up SO long and i’m not gonna checks nothing bc hell no it’s too long for that. sorry it took a while to write, but i’m actually super happy to have written down her entire family story omg
it’s not insane but i am kind of proud of myself <3
ANYWAYS this is hella long so don’t stress yourself abt responding quickly or what to respond or whatever, i hope you have a great day and ty for letting me ramble SO much
✨
oyfgggg so sorry i've been moving rooms in my house and i had totally forgot about this!!
they're soooo sad...i'm also imagining their mom rlly disliking the fact oliver picked up his dad's name
and then the miscommunication/secrecy for rory and her brother? ow ow ow ow... i can see oliver confiding in either his aunt or one of his boyfriends that he's really worried for rory....owiee
2 ideas for the bully. she could be scared of him because he threatens to find her little cousin and bully him. or. oliver could be hiding his homosexuality and the bully could threaten to reveal it maybe?
so glad oliver knows rory at least cherishes the letters <333 it would hurt 7x more if he didn't know but i think there's the right amount of hurt
ooo idea, maybe oliver visits sometimes and maybe rory avoids him?? that'd be sad
loveee the aunt..maybe rory feels guilty about her too 👀? (why am i trying to give rory catholic levels of guilt)
#ask box story#✨️ anon#asks#haii again so sorry i got to this so late. i've been/will be busy for this week

Viserys!Reader:
As the time went by, after all the commotion on Alicent marrying Viserys. Your life became even more divided, now having to spend time with your stepmother while also helping her take care of your new younger brother, Aegon.
Aegon is a clingy baby who won't let you go until he's in deep sleep, who cried the many times that you had to leave to do anything else and couldn't hold him anymore (Believe when i say this is gonna last for a long time...).
As for the others, you still spent time with them, however, due to the war with Triarchy, you haven't seen Daemon nor Corlys and Laenor in almost 3 years, you mostly saw Rhaenys and Laena in Driftmark whenever you visited. You rarely see Rhaenyra since she is too busy with her duties and most of your time together are of her rambling about it or you just sat next to each other while reading. As for Viserys, whenever you spend time with him, you are mostly concerned about his condition, which has become something obvious to you, so to calm you down on this, you also had the company of Otto.
During the Aegon's second name day, you were walking around with Rhaenyra most of the time, since you refused Alicent's offer of staying with her and the other ladies once you saw Larys Strong close by, that man always made you feel uneasy, so staying away from him was the best choice.
And not too long after, your father and sister have an argument, she grabs your hand and goes to the first horse she sees, puts you on it and run, just to be followed by Sir Criston, and the 3 of you spend the night on the forest just so you (a child) could have a eternal memory of a enraged boar attacking you and Rhaenyra killing that same boar out of...you can't really tell whether it's out of frustation or just defense. (But you are traumatized :D)
And then, a some time later, you are in King's Landing with Alicent once again(Yeah, you spend a lot of time with the Hightowers) helping her with Helaena, your new younger sister who won't stop crying unless you are in the room to calm her down, which has become a good reason for Otto to point out that you would make a wonderful mother (This resumes your reaction to this). And all of this while waiting for Rhaenyra to return from meeting potential suitors for her to marry.
And then both her and Daemon return...AND BOY HE IS NOT HAPPY. It didn't took him long to notice how close you are with the Hightowers, and that itself is a crime on his opinion (Daemon: How dare these cunts try and steal the only niece that i am not trying to f*ck?) and yes, Rhaenyra feels the exact same.
So remember that scene where Viserys made fun and laughed with Daemon on Alicent's suggestion? Yeah, your disappointed look made the laughing cease immediately and they remained quiet while you dragged Alicent to Rhaenyra. And the moment while they were reconstructing their friendship made you tear up, cuz you were done with your sister's nonsense (Like girl, it has been 3 years-)
And then you wake up the next day with nothing but CHAOS.
Rhaenyra and Daemon had been accused of f*cking each other and since you were too young to understand this topic, but all you knew is that your sister was LYING, it's written on her face.
Daemon, being exiled again, didn't had time to say goodbye...(Actually Viserys demanded that you were taken somewhere away from where he could be). As for Otto, once he was dismissed from his post as Hand, he immediately went to you, warning you about his departure and saying that in the future, you had to pick a side, and for you to be wise when the time came.
Then you were dragged to a ship to sail straigth to Driftmark, where you were attacked by the affection of the Velaryons, especially Corlys haven't seen you in years, all of this while Viserys proposes to marry Laenor to Rhaenyra.
You also were introduced to Joffrey, who was very kind to you knowing pretty well how Laenor adored you and you were too cute for this world, so it's understandable why everyone loves you so much.
On your way back home, you spotted Sir Criston walking way from Rhaenyra with a bitter look, since you liked him for taking care of you and your sister this whole time, you tried to give him comfort by staying at his side. Criston always view you highly since you are the new realm's delight and you always made people feel better, this just made him even more protective of you.
During the wedding, you sat between Rhaenyra and Viserys, even if Corlys and Rhaenys sometimes pulled you close to them, and when Daemon showed up, he dragged you to sit with him.
And then the dance started, and after the betrothed danced, you were taken away from Daemon to dance with them, and soon it started to switch between you dancing with Rhaenyra, Laenor, Laena and Daemon. My, even Sir Harwin was in the mix, but Daemon always stoled you away, so you didn't get to spend time with the Strong man (Remember, you are still a child here-)
Alicent was not happy with this, she kept telling Viserys to bring you back to the table, saying that you were to young to be dancing around these many people. But actually she just didn't wanted you around Rhaenyra, since she sets a bad example to you.
When the fight broke the party, you immediately went under the table to hide, just to be grabbed by Daemon and taken away while Rhaenyra was saved by Harwin. Everyone came to check on you in Alicent's arms while she scolded Viserys for not listening to her and claiming you could have been hurt.
What should have been a week of celebration was turned into a small ceremony filled with distress. You watched as your sister and Laenor said their vows as Alicent held you close.
The years went by, and more your best friends were distancing from each other. Once you were of age, Viserys had to same headache from years ago as numerous letters of proposals arrived from potentials suitors for you. As much as he didn't wanted to marry you off, he knew that it was necessary. So to keep you in King's Landing, he married you (At the age of 18) with Harwin Strong.
And let me tell you, your marriage was a good one, considering how affectionate and caring Harwin was with you, especially when you gave birth to your daughter, that man didn't leave your side. The problem was...Harwin did a poor job on honouring you, and you knew that very well, since all of Rhaenyra's sons had clearly his features. But you never said a thing, because you loved both of them, and you got attached to the boys quickly.
Jacaerys and Lucerys are like your own children, at least they act like it, since they tend to obey you more then their parents, and both treat your daughter like she was their sister. Both seeks your affection and your approval, feeling ashamed whenever you scold them for something.
However, Alicent kept reminding you of that detail, trying to show you how horrible both Rhaenyra and Harwin were for doing this to you. You remained calm for a long time enduring her comments on the boys, since you were still her friend, and her sons were just as special to you as Jace and Luke were.
Aegon remained the clingy child who pouts when you are not paying attention to him, and you give him as much comfort and love possible (Considering the amount of pressure he endures from his mother) but you can't ignore his...tendencies(You caught him on the window one day and you can't get that image out of your head now-) and his obvious envy of your daughter. Helaena, in other hand, is the apple of your eyes, she adores spending time with you and your daughter while showing her bugs and none of you seem to find her weird because of it. Aemond, the second born son of Alicent, had different reasons to seek out for you, due to many times where he was picked on by his brother and nephews for not having a Dragon, he used you to scold them for it while comforting him, it gave him a sense of pride, not gonna lie. As for Daeron, he was the calmest and more collected of his siblings, but also the one that you barely had around, since he was sended to Old Town, in which, made you sob a little, since you adored spending time with him.
You and your daughter were in the room with the boys and Harwin when Rhaenyra and Laenor showed up with baby Joffrey, the little one was unquiet until you got closer to him...to your disappointment, he also had the same features as your husband. Your sullen look was not dismissed by him nor your sister.
You scolded Rhaenyra for being reckless on walking right after giving birth, in which she replied by saying that she wouldn't have done it if Alicent hadn't demanded for Joffrey to be brought to her. Hoping that you would take her side and see who Alicent truly was.
Not too long after, you went to see Helaena, just to find Alicent and Aemond, the boy exclamed that he was given a pig, and those words were enough for you to realize what happened. They noticed you presence and you questioned if it was the boys, Aemond simply nodded before going in your direction as you comforted him, your daughter, still in your arms, patted his head as trying to help.
Alicent told you that she would handle the situation, glad that you helping her son and that you could see how terrible Rhaenyra's boys were (Or at least, that's how she saw it). The rest of the day was less intriguing, but you made sure to show your discontent at the boys for what they did. Aemond was very delighted at this, as for Jace and Luke, they tried everything for you to forgive them.
You went to watch the boys spar the next day, not only for them, but also to spend time with Viserys, who was watching them proudly, and your father in law, Lord Lyonel.
You spotted your husband around watching as well, but also criticizing Sir Criston's way of teaching, since he obviously favoured Aegon and Aemond over Jace and Luke. But one thing led to another, one comment about the boys and Harwin, and Sir Criston was beaten by Harwin and dragged away by the King's guard. He looked at you before being taken away.
You watched from afar as Lord Strong argued with Harwin over what happened, reminding him of the reality and how reckless he was, while your husband was looking at you, you were looking at Rhaenyra who thought was well hidden while listening to everything. You didn't hate her for what she did, but that still hurted you deep...you didn't knew if you could forgive her.
You knew clearly the consequences, you didn't bother looking at your husband for the rest of the day, you focused on your child, as you always did.
Lyonel's request on taking Harwin back to Harrenhal was...a problem, Viserys knew that you would have to go with them, as you were Lady Strong and it was your duty, but he couldn't let you go...That was something that Alicent ardently agreed, no one there wanted you to leave.
Rhaenyra felt regretful over this, she knew that it was her fault, her relationship with Harwin would take you away. She tried to apologize when you said your goodbye to her and the boys, but no words left her mouth, she didn't had the courage to do it.
Alicent tried to convince you to stay a little more, that you didn't need to go now as her children watched, all of them sad over the news, but no one could do anything to stop you.
The only one who didn't seemed hurt over your departure was Viserys, he gave you a warm goodbye, wishing you a safe travel and asking you to visit whenever you could, because even if he would miss you dearly, he understood your duty.
Before you both left the castle, Harwin stopped for a moment. He said that it would take him a long time to remend his mistakes, he wasn't apologizing, since he knew you wouldn't forgive him that easily. But he swore that he would do anything to be better, for you, your daughter, and your future children.
Once you were in Harrenhal, everything was unfamiliar to you, but you had to get used to it, your daughter asked for a long time if the boys were coming too, but you didn't had the heart to tell her that she wouldn't see them as often as before.
But at night, you smelled quickly, something burning, the room was on fire, you heard Harwin calling for you to stay close to him as he tried to break the door and called his father. Your mind was in despair, for you, for Harwin, for Lyonel and especially, for your daughter.
But everything went black as the roof fell onto you and your husband.

Rhaenyra!Reader:
You watched as your parents were buried, being held by your mother's handmaiden who was the reason why you survived.
When the fire started, she immediately went for you, as it would be of your mother's wish for you to be rescued before her. Unfortunately she did get hurt in the process.
As soon as the funeral ended, you were taken directly to your uncle, Larys, who was in Driftmark for Laena Velaryon's funeral instead of his own family. You were never fond of your uncle, not just because your mother did everything in her power to make sure you wouldn't be around him, but also because he was creepy.
You ran up to them, despite the protest of your handmaiden, which made everyone pay attention to you as you hugged your aunt's legs.
You already very late, at night, and as soon as you entered the room, you saw the amount of people inside. That made you nervous, you looked for a familiar face among the crowd, spotting your aunt Rhaenyra, holding your cousin's close, both Jace and Luke were hurt.
Everyone grieved your mother's death heavily, and seeing you, the resemblance of her (only with darker and curler hair) made them more emotional.
You looked around to see Aunt Alicent and Aemond, the boy who used to cry on your mother's shoulders (Not literally, but you get it) and he had a huge scar on his face, you remember your mother saying how Alicent's children needed the most comfort as possible, considering how needy they are, so you went up to him and patted his hand(since the chair is too high for you to reach his face or head).
The discussion then changed from Aemond lost of an eye to "Who is getting this child's custody?"
Alicent defended that it would be better for you to return to King's Landing since it was your home for years and most of your family from both sides lived there, and she tried to imply that Rhaenyra wouldn't raise you well by reminding what Luke did.
Rhaenyra claimed that you were closer to her side of the family, also mentioned that your mother would prefer for you to be raised by her. Alicent scoffed at that.
Viserys shutted everyone out and said that you would be raised by all of them, you would be taken to both sides in a specific time and that was it, end of discussion.
"But what of our son's eye? Where's the justice for what happened to him?" - Alicent mentioned, recalling of what the initial discussion was about.
And then the whole conflict started, as Alicent ran after Lucerys, you hid in between her children while covering your ears and closing your eyes.
Everything else was a blur to you, you woke up the next morning to your handmaiden telling you to prepare to say goodbye to your grandfather and his family. Since it was determined that you would stay with Rhaenyra first.
Speaking of her, during her conversations with Laenor and Daemon, she declared that she would do anything in her power to protect you from the Greens, as a way to repay for everything she did to your mother, even if she had to lock you up to make sure that Alicent would not take you away.
Everyone said their condolences to you, even your uncle, although it was brief one. Alicent told you that you could always come to her for comfort if you felt in need of it, for she understood how it was to lose a mother. In that moment Rhaenyra wanted to scream.
Aegon, Helaena and Aemond were pretty close to you in that moment, which suprised you a bit, especially Aegon. But you hugged them all out of respect :D
Once they left, you spent the rest of the day with the boys as all of you were hurt, in same and different ways. And you also got to meet Baela and Rhaena, both could understand you the most, since they also lost their mother that day.
As a new day started, and you discovered of your uncle Laenor's death, you and the others witnessed Daemon and Rhaenyra's wedding. You couldn't understand much of it, actually, you didn't care. You were only scared of what would happen.
After all, your life went upside down too quickly to go unnoticed.

Okay okay okay I wanna hear all about that next gen thing bc that is crazy dude how did that even happen omg
OH YES alright! This is gonna be another full-on Mona-rants-moment so strap in bestie!
I don’t know exactly when I started thinking about a HTTYD next gen, but it must’ve been somewhere around 2014, after I had watched both movies almost right after each other. Gotta confess, before watching HTTYD1 on a vacation to Germany as a little 10-almost-11-year-old, I thought it was a horror movie. Oops. I thought the same about Shrek, but now I unapologetically adore both of them.
So as little kids, me and my twin brother (let the record state, he’s younger than me. By four minutes. It’s a real thing) were absolutely obsessed with HTTYD. So much, that we would roleplay as dragons and – wheeze – HiccStrid’s potential twin kids. Oh, yeah, we were deep into it. We were so deep. We played out adventures and pretended to fly on our pretend dragons, whom we named Fly Fly and Toe Toe and they were, you are allowed to laugh, the kids of Toothless and a Whispering Death. My brother’s favorite dragons were the Whispering Deaths, and we were great at biology. Nope.
After that whole shabang, we went to middle/high school, my brother grew past his Dragons-phase, I stayed right where I was cuz ofc I did, and after meeting some new friends who were just as much into HTTYD as I was (one of them was the friend who gave my the nickname Mona and helped me with Of Thrones and Heirs!), we kinda created a new next gen based of what we thought was cool lmao. I couldn’t find a lot of information on that on my laptop, since most of it was handwritten or only spoken to each other – and tbh, I’m not really feeling up to checking my chats about it with one of those friends cuz I’m not friends with them anymore. But that’s okay, we have a lot more information for what came next!
I developed the next gen a bit on my own, I remember, still with some influences from the friends I had created the last version with. And for this one I still got a lot of details, so let me grab them for ya.
In this next gen, HiccStrid had five kids. Yeah, they be being busy. Zephyr and Nuffink got added a bit later, after I had seen THW, before that they only had the oc children I created as a lil 14-year-old. They had, in order, Zephyr Stormfly (20 y.o.), Nuffink Toothless (18 y.o.), Alischa Valka (14 y.o., aka, the main character), Stoick Finn (13 y.o.) and Lunette Ansfrid (3 y.o.). Oh yeah, that’s a mouthful.
Next to HiccStrid, back then I also shipped Heather and Fishlegs. Not sure if I still do now, but back then they had the following kids; Helen Windshear (19 y.o., she was Zephyr’s best friend), Fay Heather (16 y.o.), Veena Astrid (16 y.o., she and her twin sister were created by my friend I think), Beril/Hugo Oswald (13 y.o., not sure which of the two names. All I know is that he was Stoick’s bestie).
To the more… complicated part, young me put some drama into this next gen by making a divorce plot. So what I thought was cool (and because I didn’t really like Snotlout back then. Very stupid, he’s the kingest of kings), was the idea that Snotlout and Ruffnut had a son right after THW after a one-night-stand (Thorvald Hookfang, 21 y.o., all I know is that he had a huge crush on Zephyr). After that, they tried to make things work, but they didn’t, and they did a divorce thing. After that, Ruff went with Eret and had twins, Audun Eret (19 y.o., he’s the guy I wrote down as the Gustav of the next gen lmao) and Hialti Ruffnut (19 y.o., I don’t think she had a very good life). Meanwhile, Snotlout had a daughter with Minden, Ylva (13 y.o., she had a crush on Stoick).
Tuffnut had two kids with some chick, Annika Macey (19 y.o., she and Nuffink were in love or something) and Kjell Lloyd (19 y.o., I don’t know shit about him).
For the rest, I only had kids for Dagur and Mala cuz oh yeah they were a thing. Don’t think I really shipped them, but they were fun to include. Their kids were Ingrid Heather (16 y.o., I literally don’t know anything about her), Oswald Dagur (5 y.o.) and Siri Mala (3 y.o., the first Siri! I don’t know anything about her).
So that was that next gen. Alischa was the main character, she later got a whole fledged out story involving Grimmel’s grandkid, Arcum (who she got a crush on ofc, I basically redid the whole “enemies to lovers” thing I loved doing in Of Thrones and Heirs), while trying to prove herself to her overprotective dad Hiccup, finding the Hidden World and the Night Lights in the process. She bonded with Toothless’ daughter, Safire, which would’ve been pretty cute.
That whole thing was pushed aside in favor of Siri in December 2019, unfortunately. While I did try to recreate the next gen several times (I am still figuring out what the actual fuck I wanna do with ships in the original cast and who would have kids and who wouldn’t. All I know is HiccStrid has Zephyr and Nuffink cuz that’s canon and Tuffnut is aroace and the cool uncle. For the rest… man, I don’t know. I love FishLout, I love RuffLegs, I love the idea of Minden and Snotlout, I wanna see Snotlout with a daughter, etc etc. I just don’t know anything lmao), things never really stuck, as I was in the height of creating Siri’s story, and in addition, Niv’s story. Now I primarily wanna think about the next gen cuz I wanna give gussiri’s kids some friends pff
Like, at some point I tried to change up the entire next gen; I paired up Tuffnut and Heather (some weird idea from the friend I’m no longer friends with. I don’t know why), they had four whole kids (Dagny, Kyll, and Lloyd, who were triplets born in 1018, and Oswald Loki Chicken Sverd, yes, who was born in 1028). It was a weird move. I also cut down on Dagur and Mala’s kids, giving them only a daughter, named Hedvig, born in 1022. Zephyr (1018) and Nuffink (1021) still existed, but they no longer had any siblings. Lloyd and Zephyr were in love and it was very cute, and Hedvig and Nuffink had a thing going on.
Next to that, I removed the whole thing with Snotlout, Ruff, Eret and Minden, now Snotlout and Minden only had twins (Vidar and Ylva, born in 1021, Vidar wanted to become a wingmaiden). Eret and Ruff had a son named Sol (1023), which is very weird now, considering one of my best friends is named Sol lmao. Fishlegs had a son from a one-night-stand (Kjott, 1019), and the only reason for that is because the friend I’m no longer friends with didn’t like Fishlegs for his “disgusting” relationship with Meatlug. Glad I’m finally allowing to love this precious boy instead of being forced to go along with their opinions.
At this point, Sunniva and Helene didn’t exist as GusSiri kids, rather being replaced by a daughter named Funnet (1025) and a son named Agnarr (1028, Aggie and Oswald had a cute thing together). Niv did exist! I created him and he never changed, he’s just too much of a baby boy for that.
So yeah, that’s how it all shifted and turned over the years! I hope I can point my vision on trying to point down some good characters to be- WAIT A FUCKING SECOND
OH MY GOD I JUST FORGOT THAT I LITERALLY HAVE A DOCUMENT WITH MORE NEXT GEN STUFF THAT IS FAIRLY RECENT AND INCORPORATES INTO SOME STUFF FROM STARCHASER
FUCK LEMME LOOK INTO THIS REAL QUICK
Okay so turns out this is from 2021 and luckily for all of us it’s short and to the point so let’s get cracking. HiccStrid only had Zephyr Valka (1018) and Nuffink Stoick (1021), Snotlout had Vidar and Ylva (both 1019, idk who their other parent is), Dagur and Mala had Hedvig (1017), Ruffnut and Fishlegs had Reider Fishlegs (1018), Saga Meatlug (1023), Amund Tuffnut (1025), and Steinar Barf (1028). For the rest, nothing, and honestly, better, I don’t really wanna keep track of so many kids lmao. I’m not a daycare (read: has created a new oc last week)
Anyways, I think that’s all for now! Thank you so much for being so appreciated, I really appreciate it bestie <333 you’re amazing!!
