not sure how many of y'all are familiar with "the cube" sci-fi movie (?i guess? or even a philosophical and social commentary thriller lol)(warning: there's a ton of ableism in it -- tho could also be considered social commentary on ableism since they treat a disabled person like garbage until he "serves a function"), but it's about basically a big windowless jail cube puzzle thing that people are stuck in.

some rooms in the cube have fatal traps, some are safe (you can't tell by looking at the rooms before entering because most of the rooms are motion-activated and such).

i think that'd be a really interesting scenario for a group of stand users to navigate because most stands can't create solid matter that's detectable by machines.

what stand users do you think would be the most interesting to see trying to escape that?

Remember when people were calling you the "long lost McElroy sister"? Do you see the similarity at all, or do you think it's just because you share a similar creative niche (gaming/streaming/comedy) with the McElroy brothers?

I still get it to this day, friend, despite my constant protests.

I used to understand, and it was even expected initially if not personally encouraged! There was definitely a period of time where they were my biggest comedic/creative inspirations, and the truth of the matter is that I am a mannerisms sponge. I mimic people around me, and people that inspire me, and whether or not it's more than the average person I have no clue, but I will go through seasons of daily watching a particular personality or creator I'm fond of and/or inspired by and usually come out the other end having picked up certain tendencies VERY quickly, a large portion of those being speech patterns.

There's definitely a segment of my content around 2017/2018 or so where, yeah, you can very much tell I adopted a McElroy-esque speaking pattern directly (like what felt like 70% of other Tumblr users also did lol) and it was both because of how much of their content I was into at the time AND also because at the time I found their output inspiring as someone who was used to more... Loud Gamer forms of comedy, to put it bluntly. So at first I took the comparisons in stride and saw it as a signal of my own growth as an entertainer, and my ability to be funny in a way that wasn't just Loud = Funny.

But the thing you have to know about me, and my time as even a minor public figure, is that this comparison was not the first of its that was constantly levied at me, and it unfortunately was not the last one in the slightest. Some will remember the days in which I was a reasonably renowned "Bill Cipher" impersonator in the Gravity Falls fandom, and the pattern was very similar at the time. I dealt with people CONSTANTLY telling me that, despite all of my attempts to separate myself from the voice work I did as the character, I always sounded Just Like Bill even when I was just using my casual speaking voice. If this sounds familiar to those of you who have only been around since the dubs popped off, it's likely because I also go through the same thing ever since I became known for Sonic impressions.

And then outside of voice work I've had my style of content continue to be compared to the McElroy's body of work and even beyond to the likes of Jerma and other big-name-of-the-era content creators. And I have to once again stress: I am completely self-aware that it is not entirely unfounded. I mean, the most recent one I got was just the other day when on stream someone told me I had a speech pattern similar to Northernlion. And like, I even admitted right then and there.... yeah! That makes sense! I've had NL compilations going into my ears and brain for hours upon hours on end lately. So I don't mean to only complain and say "this makes no sense" with delusions that it's completely baseless. BUT, I guess if I do have to circle around to a point, it would be that, though I can occasionally understand comparisons, I would hope y'all in turn can understand why it might not be an easy thing for someone like me to hear, especially in the way it never really seems to go away? Even if one like Bill Cipher fades out, the whole "SnapCube is just a female version of [insert larger male peer in the content space]" thing is something that cycles along regardless. And I get it, it's human nature to compare and contrast. I do it too! But as someone who is always trying to stand out in what I do and make my own value as an individual known above the cacophony of content saturation, I do implore people to think twice about the language they use when making otherwise favorable comparisons. Recommending my content by saying something like "if you like Jerma/McElroys/NL/etc., then SnapCube gives off similar vibes" makes of a WORLD of a difference compared to "This stream is just something Jerma would do" or "Penny is just a female Griffin McElroy" (both things I have heard almost verbatim, constantly). They approach the same ideas, but one gives me so much more of a chance to like... start off a first impression as My Own Person and not just a derivative Girl Alternative, if that makes sense.

Theory time with Higuchi!

For anyone who wants a good read and some info on Ichiyo (Natsu) Higuchi this Reddit Post was really interesting

I first want to say I have zero evidence or reasoning behind most of this shit specifically the two abilities I’m pulling out of my ass (I do still love my Flowers at Dusk theory don’t get me wrong and a lot of the Growing Pains / Child’s Play theories are beautiful). Again these are for entertainment only I have no bets on these being real LOL

1. Draining / Absorbing

Now before I get into these (1,2) I want to bring up an interesting point seen in the Reddit Post I shared.

Specifically the Mori does not punish Higuchi part- and remembering the episodes in particular he really doesn’t. At most he is disappointed in her failure and asks if “she is suited for this job.”

Now this also made me realise (again the Reddit Post mentioned this too I found after reading further) the Command Unit is in direct line to Mori just after Executives.

Meaning she is high ranked overall in the Mafia not just amongst the Black Lizard.

She is Akutagawa’s equal - role wise in the mafia.

Why?

We know she is an ability user (not what the ability is) so is she simply well connected to Mori or is she a Secret Weapon? Or both.

Somehow she had to make it to Commander level even with the lack of respect she receives (until rescuing Akutagawa but even then they still don’t treat her like a leader).

I propose an option that also has no standing or reasoning.

She’s related to the previous boss.

Someone who didn’t have a choice to have anything but a mafioso lifestyle.

A granddaughter or a great niece etc. but let’s go with grandchild for this post- a favoured one at that- which I will get to.

Yes, this would technically mean she’s been in the mafia the longest compared to many characters (Dazai, Chuuya, Akutagawa etc).

I hear your “Wouldn’t Hirotsu know then?” It’s entirely possible if she is a favoured grandchild the Boss would have only wanted certain people to know about her when she was so young plus it’s not like every grandparent shares a last name with their grandchild (he could be her mother’s father).

It’s also possible if he knew the boss had a grandkid she would have been known as Natsu not Ichiyo at the time (since that is the authors real name).

And we all know I head-cannon that our girl is naturally brunette / raven haired so of course I'm adding in more plot with the name thing. Could be just for fun, maybe it was ordered, maybe it's so the people who did know about Natsu wouldn't point her out (Mori just hiding the nepotism).

In any case if this was how Mori knew her- after digging and of course killing him it’s entirely plausible that he’d 1. Look at it as an opportunity to fuck over the guy even when he’s dead 2. She’s a valuable asset because of it.

By that I mean her family name would hold power eg. she goes by Natsu (boss last name) when Mori needs something that only her family could get him.

Or she’s incredibly powerful and he’d be an idiot to not keep her. Perhaps she hates her power and he keeps that in check- she does what he says and then she doesn’t need to use it / she doesn’t have control - because less control over that means more control over her.

It’s not like she’d be his heir or anything (though that would be a funny fic idea- people trying to fight for the next in line and Mori is just like no I have a replacement it's Higuchi).

Anyway onto my not at all reasonable Ability theories.

1. Draining / Absorbing

This one was originally a "takes abilities" theory- which has absolutely no merit being a theory at all unless for whatever reason Asagiri decides that she and Dazai have been secretly related the whole time.

In the Reddit Post OP theorises that she could paralyse her opponents using her novella Takekurabe (Comparing Heights) with the English titles Growing Up and Child’s Play as the forefront. Though I’ve seen the use of the title Growing Pains instead of Up as well.

Using OP's word's, I don't think Higuchi will have a name-based ability (eg. Beast Beneath the Moonlight or Thou Shalt Not Die) and so for this crack theory I'm also using Growing Pains / Childs Play.

I suggest that she can drain or absorb abilities instead- leaving her opponents with a dull aching because a part of them is practically gone should she drain an ability to its dredges. She could probably kill someone if she wasn’t careful and took too much.

Think Rogue from X-Men.

That would make her a formidable enemy to have and an even better secret weapon.

It would also make her just another tool like Dazai was- instead of halting an ability she practically takes it away (which is plausible if we really dug into it, but this is more she takes the power or energy involved in using the ability).

Where did this idea even come from you ask?

Honestly no clue but I was trying really hard to figure out what possible ability she could have, and I have landed on it must be powerful and this would absolutely be an ability that she would hide until necessary. It would also be a play on the novella titles instead of simply going Child's play= dolls= voodoo doll ability for example (mostly because that's kind of Q's ability) but more a play on how for some people transitioning into adulthood is draining and not as fun as when the world was too big for us.

2. Her word is Law

Okay this is also a stretch just so we are clear BUT I think it's more plausible than draining / absorbing. I don't really know which title I'd give this one because I'm leaning again to a more a non-name-based ability (eg. No Longer Human or Plum Blossom in the Snow) so for the fun of it lets call this Flowers at Dusk (Yamizakura- yes, the one I usually use in Fics).

When I say her word is law I don't mean legally speaking- think Jessica / Paul Atreides or the Reverend Mother from Dune and how they use 'the voice'.

This ability came to mind since Ichiyo Higuchi is an important figure in Japan, though it wasn't like she would be able to sway politics or anything of the like. Her works are important, the words in the stories are significant. Key word, words.

This would be a valuable power worth keeping hidden and close to the chest, she would make her way up the ranks fast with such an ability and more than likely she'd be a great asset in regard to interrogations.

Mori would absolutely keep this ability a secret and keep her close because of it. Let's play into the idea that she hates or is afraid of her ability, a power that takes away others free will or control would be hard to deal with depending on your mental fortitude or upbringing.

If she said jump you would jump, if she said kill you would kill.

She'd be the perfect secret weapon with an ability like this especially if no one else knew and she got kidnapped- whoops they didn't put on ability suppressors ...oh hey where did she go?

I feel like this is a plausible option- only because we know nothing but that she is an ability user. It would make sense for her to be closer to Mori- he'd ensure she would never use the ability on him and considering people underestimate her already it would be an uppercut of a power to have and no one (but Dazai or those who are deaf I suppose) would be able to get away from it.

We'd really have to get into the meat of this ability and flesh out weaknesses par her voice box and No Longer Human. Is it the vibrations in her voice? Does she need a key word? Can she only use it on a certain number of people at a time? Could she pinpoint who isn't going to be affected if it were with a large group.

For example- The Black Lizard get cornered, and she needs to use her ability would her yelling STOP, MOVE BACK or FREEZE (any key words really) affect Gin, Hirotsu, Tachihara or Akutagawa?

Can you tell I like this idea for an ability lol.

it seemed like riki was appearing everywhere after you’d blocked him. all of a sudden he was in your english class, he was bumping into you in the hallways, he caught the same bus home as you. you couldn't escape him. so instead, you began going places with your friends. every time riki tried to talk to you, he was shut down or glared at by one of your friends. your personal favourite was yunjin's way of deterring him, which involved a series of rude gestures and a "fuck off."

riki, on the other hand, was trying tirelessly to find a way to talk to you. aside from the fact that he'd been seeking you out in the school corridors, he now realised that you were in his english class and caught the same bus as him. it was like his eyes now searched for you wherever he went, seeking you out in the hopes of explaining himself and apologising. he truly never meant to hurt you. he just didn't have much choice in whether he moved or not, and didn't have the courage to tell you or break up with you.

he spotted you by yourself a week after yunjin's last attack, standing by your locker. you were clearly waiting for someone.

he wandered over, leaving a decent distance between the two of you in case he made you uncomfortable. "y/n," he said, clearing his throat, "please." "fuck off, riki," you replied, not even sparing him a glance.

ouch. as much as he deserved that, it still hurt.

"please, you don't have to talk. you don't even have to look at me. just listen." you turned your head, glaring at him but not saying anything, so he continued. "i want to apololgise. i know what i did was awful, and i probably hurt you really badly, but i had to move. it was because of my grandma, and i couldn't stay here." you sighed, turning fully to face him. you sighed, looking him in the eyes, “if you’d even do much as shot me a text it would have been better than ghosting me. it really hurt, you know?”

he looked back at you, saying a heartfelt, “i’m sorry.”

"i guess i have to unblock you now, huh?" you said, giving him a small smile. he laughed in return as a crowd of students headed your way.

yunjin emerged from the crowd, looking scarier than ever. "hey, nishimura," she said, pointing at him, "what did i tell you? walk away."

riki walked away from you, feeling the best he'd felt since seeing you again for the first time. you might not be friends again, but at least you knew why he'd left, and he'd take what he could get.

Hi @scentisterror! I love these characters too. Not going to lie, Ace and Law are (as I have said many many times) in my top 5 all time favorite anime characters (in all of anime)! I am also kind of obsessed with child Sanji. He's a bean as my sister would say. I want to hug all of them too...especially Ace (he's may favorite lol). Anyways, let's dive into it.

I've finally managed to start reading Purple Haze Feedback recently and was hit with a flashback of how shitty Fugo was seen by some people in the fandom(at least people I was around at the time).

Like- yeah, it was kinda disappointing when he left the other instead of also going to go betray the boss, but shit I wouldn't wanna go either! He was still young and had a lot to live, i don't blame him for not wanting to go on a suicide mission!

Also, going in a more fanfic/yandere centered idea here, I always thought it would've been a lot funnier if more authors wrote the Reader also deciding not to join the gang to go defeat the boss instead of just following along

Bruno: We're going to betray the boos, so as soon as you enter this boat, you will be considered a traitor! I won't pressure or force any of you to do it, so enter at your own discretion!

Reader: Wow... that's a very difficult decision ...well, good luck to all of you!

Bruno: Yes ,thank- wait, you're not coming?

Another idea that always comes to mind when talking about Fugo is the fact that at first, he was going to be a spy amd would betray the gang (If i remember it correctly).

I always thought it would be an interesting concept to have Reader working for Diavolo since the beginning (bonus points for angst if the gang ends up finding THAT out in the worst moment possible lol)

It’s a rather tall order to ask some sixteen year old teenager to casually betray the whole mafia and specifically the most powerful man on top who they have never met before. I’d like to think Fugo was thinking over every unknown they weren’t guaranteed to find out. Let alone if they even had a chance to even fight at all. I never personally blamed the dude for peacing out personally.

So being Yandere I could absolutely see him do just about everything to get you to hesitate to go with Bruno and the others. He’d bend over backwards to do so, especially if you were hesitant yourself. Like sure there’s a chance you and the others by some miracle could defeat the boss, but depending on how he utilizes his organization and stand users against you, it would get ugly real quick. He even insists it’s just not worth getting hurt/killed over.

It’s likely his selfish desire to keep you to himself talking but he won’t back down in trying to keep you there with him. I always felt like Fugo could make a very compelling argument too, it’s almost scary how convincing he’d likely be. (That’s if you were unsure which way to go, if you didn’t want to go with Bruno and the others I’m certain it’d be much easier for him to take advantage of)

Spy! Reader with a Yandere Diavolo would be fantastic, almost scary in a horror sense. As you can easily doom the gang with your extra intel and knowledge with hanging out with all of them. Not to mention any calls or eventually bumping into Doppio would lead to some very interesting interactions. I can already hear the “dearest y/n” at some point once you succeed on sabotaging the Bucciarati gang.

I've finally watched episode 8 of Lovely Runner.

First of all, Sun Jae's so cute! I love the duality of him, being both a cool superstar and the kind of man who barely manages to act normal around his crush. He works so hard to conceal just how much he likes her!

Second: that was a good first kiss. (Yes, I remember the drunken teenage kiss but that doesn't really count for me. They didn't have the same level of information back then. He was a teenager and she was drunk.) I liked that he sensed her pulling back, and let her meet him halfway instead. She had a choice in this, and she decided she wanted him.

It especially matters for him, I think, because he's very conscious of the fact that he liked her first and (kinda) liked her more. She's turned him away before/there's history. So it's basic decency but also, of course he wouldn't force anything on her. He wouldn't have said a word if she hadn't spoken about her feelings first. Thanks drunken friend spilling all of Sun Jae's secrets in front of the girl he likes, I guess. And he didn't do it on purpose either lol.

I don't usually get how a character would still be in love with their first crush at age 30 but Sun Jae does a convincing job. And the Sol he knew is pretty much exactly the same Sol as now. So it tracks. Plus it must be hard, as a celebrity, to figure out if people sincerely like you. So there is the appeal of someone from long ago, who knew you before they turned you into a marketing product. (Although technically Sol never knew him as anything other than Sun Jae who is/ who'll become an idol. But he doesn't know that. Will she ever tell him the whole truth?)

Third: this is exactly what I expected from the psycho taxi driver, and my point stands about the crime aspect of the story. Though you could argue that Sun Jae not being depressed, he didn't take anti-anxiety drugs, which might be why he's alive this time. But I have a feeling he opened his door even though he knew he was in danger!! Which they always do, and it kills me. Would it be so hard to write a scene where a character does NOT have a choice in being harmed? But I should reserve judgement, I haven't seen the flashback yet.

Also, as always, I'm sad that we rarely get dramas about people with visible disabilities and when we do, that part gets erased as the story goes on. It was cool to see a character in a wheelchair, but of course she'd walk again in her happy ending... And it feels like she gets a job because she can walk, pretty much. I hope we get to see her try to change the world for wheelchair users, even if it's in the background, just a little bit. That'd be cool, knowing what she went through.

Remember when that staff callout went around when they got accused of being a TERF, nazi and creep for having HP ship art, for liking one of the most popular animes worldwide and for sharing completely SFW aged-up art of the two Spy x Family kids blushing at each other and then Tumblr users acted like they’d just discovered watergate?

well i would hope frankly if I worked for a social media company and a user with a following started trying to incite harassment toward my account, that they would do something about it! especially considering they did break TOS, lol. Like I get the frustration with moderation prioritizing tumblr staff, but what kind of work environment would it be if they didn’t.

I remember reading the google doc that went around about it and it was literally like, “making the presentation the night before” level of quality. 0 substance. It literally just said “they like attack on titan, one of the most normie animes of all time, uhh you connect the dots.” it just cemented how much i can’t stand the funnyguy cult of personality type bloggers on here. they will tell someone to kill themselves and get banned and be like “WOAH WOAH WHATS THE BIG IDEA”

Analysis: The Star (Part 6)

He's my favourite, oh my God I could ramble about this man. The character arc is chef's kiss. Will do proper headcanons another day.

Superman with a bad ending. Part 6 is a sad but fitting culmination of Kujo Jotaro's character arc.

The consequences of being distant and misunderstood combined with the burden of being "The Man" turn his life into a tragedy.

His anxiety has grown with his responsibilities. Look how his thoughts evolve from Part 3 to Part 6.

Divorce never happens for only one reason, but there are a few things shown in the story that make me raise my eyebrows.

Most obviously, I think the events of Part 4 scared him. He spent 10 years trying to live a normal life, didn't maintain his ability to stop time, and he almost died because of it.

"Stand Users attract Stand Users" - that and the effects that the arrows had on Morioh are enough to give anyone pause.

Jotaro is a protector first and foremost. He absolutely felt compelled to chase down the remnants of DIO's legacy to keep his family safe.

He also had a child VERY young, and that's stressful on a relationship no matter how much you love them. Recall that Jolyne is born only 3-4 years after the end of Stardust Crusaders.

But we know he loves Jolyne deeply and probably never wanted her to get mixed up in all of the Stand mess. He never wanted to get involved in this himself, remember?

The greatest gift he could give his daughter is the peaceful life he never had. That's all any parent wants for their child.

He probably had some awareness of Pucci's activity (though likely not his identity), but didn't put it together until it was too late.

Jotaro wasn't expecting to wake up after his encounter with White Snake. 100% was furious with Jolyne for putting herself in danger like that.

He's not proud of her at all for this stupidity, damn it.

I am soooo sick of the "lol Jotaro got nerfed why was he so dumb" rhetoric around the final fight.

In the end, he makes the same choice he's always made: to defend his loved ones because that's who he's always been. Pucci knew that, too.

And let's be real, Made in Heaven is a horrible matchup for Star Platinum.

Jotaro is among the most controversial of Joestars, and I get it, but I adore his complexities. He's a flawed hero, and he bears the heaviest burdens of the Joestars.

Like many, I wanted Part 6 to have a happy ending, but I loved it anyway. In the Ireneverse, he's still Jotaro. But without Pucci around to carry DIO's legacy, I hope he got the peaceful life he wanted.

heyy! hope you're having a good day so far! i was wondering if i could have some headcannons of the stardust crusaders reacting to the fem! reader who's stand powers are mostly based on dreams that she had in the past? forgive me if this all is confusing (i've never really thought deep into a made-up stand power before 😅), but basically, whatever happens in a particular dream (ex: a person slips and falls on the floor), as long as the reader can remember certain details or events, when her stand touches a person (doesn't even have to be a punch, the stand could literally poke them for a brief second if it wanted), that person will be affected (as stated in my example: a person slips and falls in the reader's dream? the affected person will also slip and fall). however, the funny catch is that the reader tends to have strange dreams (some range from "ok, well that was weird" to "WHAT IN THE HELL WAS THAT?! DID I ACTUALLY DREAM THAT?!"), so the weirder/intense/funnier the dream, the more powerful the attack is. sometimes there will be moments where a stand user is defeated in the most hilarious way, which always leaves the reader laughing her ass off at the end of the battle LMAO. apologies again if this all sounds confusing! feel free to change some things up if you want to :) ty! <33

Jotaro Kujo

-Jotaro is still relatively new to the whole situation regarding stands, and although he had thought he'd seen it all by now boy he couldn't be more wrong!

-I think he'd definitely be skeptical of the nature of your ability at first. You're practically able to change fate itself with a simple touch of your stand, it isn't until he sees it in action does he really start to accept how weird but strong the power can be

-Even if he won't admit it he's definitely curious if you've had any dreams involving him lol. Once he starts to believe your ability he'll grumble out something along the lines of "Keep that damn thing away from me" in fear of getting into an embarrassing accident as a result of the dreams

-If your stand happens to swoop in and save the day with some freak occurrence that rivals the likes of Joseph's most ridiculous plans, he's left in disbelief and tries to hide it by pulling his hat down and saying his most famous catch phrase. Expect to hear "Good grief." Every time your stand helps to incapacitate an enemy.

Noriaki Kakyoin

-Kakyoin is very polite when approaching the topic of your stand ability

-He's fascinated with the idea of you being able to control someone's fate in such a way, and is one of the ones who sees the most potential in this stand

-He'll try to protect and lead you in battle more often than not, because he also recognizes that this ability is not really suited for combat. Which is very sweet!

-He doesn't pressure you but definitely makes it known that he'd appreciate any heads up for any dreams that involve him. He doesn't really want to make a fool of himself anytime soon

Jean Pierre Polnareff

-Polnareff is like the second most fascinated with the nature of your stand, he's definitely curious if any of your dreams happen to mention him too. -He'd somehow find a way to make a witty one-liner out of the situation, it's just in his nature. "Ah, so you've been dreaming about me have you?"

-If you decide to tell him of any embarrassing fate that might befall him that day he'll kinda blush a bit and subconsciously shy away from you and your stand's touch while saying "O-oh? Is that so?"

-Please forgive him he's had enough embarrassment on this trip. Mans is traumatized lmfao

Muhammad Avdol

-Avdol, being a fortune teller himself, is probably the one most fascinated with your stand ability! He'll enthusiastically encourage you to tell him of your dreams every morning, so much so that it becomes routine

-He'll always thoughtfully and politely nod along, strategizing about how your premonitions can be used in battle against enemy stand users

-He gets embarrassed if any of your dreams involve him, especially if it's something silly. He feels like he has to apologize for you seeing such an uncharacteristic display

-He will definitely give a hearty chuckle about anything else you tell him about the crusaders though. You've seen how mischievous he can be at times, if it's something non life threatening he'll even subtly encourage you to touch them with your stand. It's like a little inside joke you both get to be on!

Joseph Joestar

-If there's even a mention of himself in your dreams you bet your ass he wants to know every detail! If it's something funny/ridiculous he'll sort of scoff and hide his embarrassment, claiming that such a thing would never happen to him!

-Until it does.

-He'll never get used to seeing this ability in action against enemy stand users, like Jotaro he might even be skeptical and teasing/condescending about it at first (because that's just how he is), and has never been humbled so fast than when you cause some sort of terrifyingly hilarious fate to befall someone

-After that he's like a persistent child, constantly inquiring about your dreams and abusing your stand's power to the fullest, especially to help him out of a tough spot

-He'll get a bit ahead of himself, so you'll have to remind him sometimes that your ability works in a specific way, and no you can't make something happen to an enemy naturally because they're kicking yall's ass in battle lol

It occurred to me just yesterday that I still only have a sad ending with Flint & Rinzler & still haven't conceived of how they could have a happily ever after.

A lot of it came from how most people want Rinzler to revert fully back to Tron post-Legacy & like, that's fine and all, but because Rinz has always been my fave guy, I got all sore at it & decided to say FUCK IT, WE ALL HAVE A BAD TIME HERE THEN!!

[long exhausted ramble... otherwise Flint's life sucks, nothing new here lol. feel free to ignore]

Anyways, the not very happy ending I've had in place for ages is that, just like how Tron helped Flint escape the Grid before Clu took over.... in the very last seconds of the human world before rolling over into the new millenia, Rinzler holds up the Grid from caving in as Flint is eked out just before y2k drops & the Grid undergoes a hard reset.

Anyways. When Flint finally leaps back the next day into the digital fantasy world to find even the smallest trace of Rinzler & yo ensure everything is ok & that the Grid survived smashing into the year 2000... Flint quickly runs into Clu & Tron & quite a few other familiar faces who are all in cheery good moods, happy to celebrate the new user year & see Flint too but... no one has any memory whatsoever of anything that took place from far before Clu's regime ever took over, all looking at the user all wild-eyed & in a panic with definite concern.

Considering Flint had started to feel like this world was the closest to home he'd ever known, & now not a single part of the adventure he'd been on, the bonds he'd formed & the times he'd shared were remembered by a single other soul... it's like the rug was completely yanked out from under his feet & Flint finds himself in some unknown Twlight Zone-esque version of the Grid that he had once called home... basically standing around strangers with familiar faces.

So like. Flint tries to spur on some memories with Tron, with no success of recalling anything of his time as Rinzler, & Flint has to come to grips with the fact that YEAH, he really did lose Tron once & now Rinzler too &... it hurts too much to realize that the Tron Flint's left standing in front of is neither parts of the program he'd loved. As is, they're just pals at this point again & Flint feels like he can't run the risk of going through this all once more, just to lose Tron again.

So Flint quickly wraps up everything by wishing his fellow programs a happy new year before dipping out... & a bunch of Flint's digital pals all wondering worriedly if the user is alright, but like that's it.

Flint goes back to the real world & hopes to find some archived Rinzler data hidden elsewhere, but the y2k bs messed everything up & kinda. It's just done. Flint leaves the programming & computer based world behind. He becomes a photographer since he'd always been interested in environmental storytelling & then like. Otherwise he feels the need to make sure he has full proof of what he's seen & done after feeling like years of his life were dumped down the drains in the Grid 😬

Anyways, I feel like it'd be easy enough to have Flint wind up with one of Rinzler's identity discs before he escapes the Grid during it's y2k refresh, but would it even work to restore memories on Tron? Would it even sort of be the same? I feel like that's a jerk move, letting a messed up copy of Rinz parasite onto this poor unsuspecting Tron & it's just. Pretty sucky.

Would Flint just hold onto it as the last memory of the greatest bond he ever had in his life?? Hard to say.

If nothing else, may need to rethink the full ending? Maybe it's possible Rinzler gets dragged out with Flint before the y2k restart? But otherwise, Flint having all the memories & no one to share them with... he could try to rekindle things with Tron from the start button that point, there's no guarantee anything would even happen, I guess. I dunno.

Either way, the only version of Flint & Tron/Rinzler that actually has a happy ending is with evil Flint & Rinz, since they get digitally bonded for life & lock themselves up in the Grid forever & live happily for eternity in their little digital paradise bit otherwise like.

Most every version of Flint & Rinz but one does not end on a happy note... usually with Flint lying face down on his bed, praying to disintegrate & stop existing & all because he gave his whole heart to the same guy TWICE & ruined his life BOTH times & feels like he himself is the one who's ruined Tron/Rinzler's life. It's confusing & awful & dreadful, but. There it is.

Rinzler smashed his fist into the wall, breathing raspily behind the reflective shell of his helmet, his eyebrows knitting together and fangs gnashing in anger.

He couldn't do anything. Nothing at all. He was forced to stand there and bear through it as the user…

What was it called?

Oh -

as the user hugged him.

Rinzler's snarl was only amplified by his distorted audio features. His claws flexed and aimed to tear at the user's back, to disarm it and rip it to shreds, but some impossible line of parameters within his coding seemed to wrap around his entire being, forcing him from being able to do any harm to the foul being of flesh and blood. He was bound by invisible straits from maiming the idiot creature nearly attached to him.

"I know you can't remember," the user said, its voice muffled slightly by the way it had pressed itself against Rinzler's chest. "But it's ok. It's not your fault.”

Rinzler's fury only rose with the impetious nature of this being. Why did it dare feign as though it knew or cared about him? Prior to Clu providing the user's information and identification, this flesh-thing was a complete stranger. Its falsifications and lies of trying to tangle Rinzler in its fake care only made the program hate the user even more.

"I'm sorry I couldn't save you. I let you down, and I - I..." The user sniffled, burying its face into Rinzler's armor plating as it squeezed tighter onto the program. And even though its hands would likely be able to snatch the discs right off his back, the user did not take the intelligent choice of action and instead continued with this pointless hug.

"I love you so much," the user sobbed pathetically. "And I know you don't care... but still, I'm so, so sorry I took too long to tell you, and now you're... gone."

Rinzler's snarl had died down, but his fiery contempt for the user still blazed brightly.

What in creation's name was it rambling about?!

If he could speak, Rinzler would've hounded the user for answers, but as he was on strict limitations, he could only remain there, silent and prepared to repel the disgusting user thing when it was done clinging to his own form.

The user finally released him, and Rinzler leapt backward at once to be free of its awful curse. Without a thought, Rinzler acted instinctively and deployed both of his discs, and he watched on in complete disbelief as he missed his target. The discs perfectly cut around the user and avoided harming even a hair on its head.

How was this possible?!

The user had bright liquid running down its face from its big brown eyes as it stood there, motionless while the discs whirled and flew back past its head, returning obediently to Rinzler's awaiting hands.

"You can't hurt me, can you?" It asked quietly.

Rinzler only growled gutterally in response. He didn't know what powers it had over him, but the user was too strong even at this distance, too.

"You're still in there," it marveled, stepping closer and closer to Rinzler, sending the program shuffling backward in a defensive mode. "Somehow, your core protocol remembers, doesn't it?"

Rinzler huffed out in panic as the thing drove him back into a wall, with his discs displayed protectively in front of his chest.

The user came closer still, until it was nearly pressed up against Rinzler again, with its hands resting lightly on his wrists.

"I wonder..." It started to speak, but it's voice faded away as it began to direct Rinzler's wrists to aim both of his discs towards the user's throat. "What if I do it? What if I take myself out using your discs? How would you react to that?"

Rinzler breathed frantically, watching as the bright, blazing blade of his discs grew closer and closer to the user's flesh.

What was going on?!

How was his own form arguing against him and the primary programing deployed unto him from the Luminary, himself?!

Rinzler wanted this, after all - to take down his target, to see the light drain out of the user's dirty swirling teal circuits, to watch as it collapsed to pieces, so why -

Why couldn't he?!

When the heat of Rinzler's discs began to lick teasingly at the user's neck, just before the blades themselves could cut into its flesh, Rinzler's body acted completely on its own accord.

He dropped his discs away, tossing them far to the sides and out of way from potentially harming the terrible user.

It looked up at him in fear and awe, a gasp escaping its mouth as something intriguing mixed in its dark eyes while the two stood at a stalemate when -

Suddenly, a rush passed through Rinzler like he'd never known before.

He at once disengaged his helmet and forced himself at the user, kissing it with a furiousity that he couldn't subdue. His one hand gripped tightly into the back of the user's hair, and the other directed its chin accordingly as Rinzler saw fit. The user, in turn, held onto the program, its hands clutching along his waist with a trembling intensity.

Rinzler despised himself, finding that as he moved his mouth against the user, it matched his demanding pace without a thought. This felt good and right and he needed more, he needed it, he needed the user he needed -

The user's hands felt their way to Rinzler's face, tracing across his jaw and settling at his cheeks. It felt intimate, and perfect, and right in a way he couldn't place for the life of him. He needed this - whatever this feeling burning in his core receptors might be - he needed the user, he needed -

"My Flint," he rasped, pulling away for just a moment, just long enough for the look of dawning awareness to bleed into his piercing, orange gaze down at his beloved user. "You are my Flint."

looked up fearlessly to the monster program. He smiled and gently led the program back towards his lips.

"I knew you were in there," he hummed apprasingly as Rinzler returned to kissing his user, a bright flame of passion reignited even while laced in all the confusion of the moment.

It didn't even matter.

This was wrong and terrible and horrible and vile and...

It felt so, so right.

May the Forth Be With You - Star Wars in TWST

Mostly my world building ramblings lol Please remember these are just all funky little headcanons and some (many) are prone to change!!

For starters, the Academy for Force Adept Individuals (that name is a wip lmao) has a much smaller student pool than the other "magic" schools, and as a result is a school not restricted to only boys, especially seeing as some species that are among the student body do not have definitive male or female distinctions. There isn't a definitive "dark" or "light" side- Force is merely referred to as a tool or energy, and not a "power". We know that NRC has kind of murky morals as it is, and RSA would stand to have a very strong moral view in contrast. This is why in a smaller school, with beings from all over (the interstellar "neighbourhood") it's difficult to try and teach one "way" or another, so the students are taught from as unbiased a standpoint as possible, as for most subjects that do not require the use of the force, droids have been employed to teach.

NOT basing this on the Old Republic, otherwise they would have had to have been taken in before the age of 13 as a padawan. They are still about 16-19 years old- transferring in from another academy somewhere else. The academy in TWST is a melting pot, and provides a good opportunity for students to learn more about the customs of those from around the galaxy and make (hopefully) lifelong friends. Along with your typical school subjects (history, sciences, maths, and language study of some sort) there are classes for agriculture, medicine and "survival"- reflective of the Agricultural Corps, Medical Corps, and Exploration Corps- to establish the basics in each, in case students are not selected as a padawan or they choose to get a job in one of those areas rather than serving as a Knight. (Force Knight- no light/dark connotations.)

There are elective classes for those as well ^^ for anyone who needs/wants extra credit in the main class or who just want as much practice as they can get in before going into the field they hope to pursue.

Other than those three ^ the rest of the electives also have clubs, as many classes overlap that specialize in certain skills Force users are being taught, but still provide the opportunity for them to learn, as well for upperclassmen to have a chance to tutor the newbies a little bit and give them experience in a leadership position (while still being supervised to avoid conflict)

A lot of the time, the clubs aren't directly related to the elective For example if the elective class is about how to change probability or to increase luck, many of those students enter the board game club However, playing against students that have mind reading as an elective, makes the game a little more fair But then there are students who also have been learning to shroud their presence using the Force, and can do the same for their thoughts, adding yet another element of difficulty. Yes there are classes that utilize their lightsabers and reinforce/ teach them correct form, but then there are electives for specializing and studying multiple forms.

P.E is mostly about building the physical strength and stamina needed to serve as a Knight- and I'm thinking that Force Knights tend to be more of a sentry, I don't think trying to cram a whole ass war is going to work for this. However there are also duels that rely solely on the Force.

Force users tend to be feared in TWST as they 1. are a relatively new 'magic' to really be 'discovered'/explained by other species in Twisted Wonderland, and 2. don't accumulate blot. Some people don't believe they really exist, the idea of midi-chlorians and people being able to manipulate them beyond their scope of understanding.

The Academy is located on one of the other islands in the Land of Dawning, isolated for the safety of the students, but recently started participating in SDC and magift/spelldrive competitions.

Hi, sorry if my English isn't very good. but I would like to ask for an image of Leona or Jamil (my favorites) where after an accident in potions class he splits into two, one normal and the other in the overblot state, both sides in love with the reader (Female if it doesn't bother you) , but while the normal states don't admit this either out of shame or fear of being rejected, the overblot side doesn't care about this and treats the reader like a deity, leaving their normal versions full of jealousy, and the poor reader confused and enjoying it a little of the situation because I already had a crush on Leona or Jamil, please

Ruggie was the one to tell you what happened with Leona during potions class, since you were one of the people who was closest to Leona.

When you got there, Leona tried getting you out of the area, claiming how he was strong enough to deal with his own problems

When his Overblot form saw you, OB!Leona walked over to you and gently placed a kiss on the back of your hand, surprising almost everyone in the room

While you were distracted with OB!Leona, you didn't notice that Leona was standing near by, sneering in jealously as he glared at his overblot form

While OB!Leona would like to go do normal romantic things with you, the other Students would be trying very hard to 1) Find a fix for the potion that caused this and 2) Stop OB!leona from causing any damage to the school or hurting other students

When OB!leona took you into his arms while confessing to you about how much he loves you and wants you to be his, Leona couldn't stand watching his Overblot form do what he wanted to do for a while

The only reason why Leona hasn't confessed yet was he thought that it would make him appear soft, and all the respect that he has would go down the drain, so he didn't want to risk it

Yet watching his overblot form confess to you before him made him rethink his choices and he realized that if he wanted to be with you then he should be, and that he should get you before someone better takes you away just like everything else in his life

While the other students were trying to stop Overblot leona, one of the students Ace shot a attack towards OB!Leona, yet instead of hitting him like it was intended to, it hit you

If you thought that Leona's overblot before was bad enough, add on that their crush ended up getting hurt and it was 100x worse

Even normal Leona was mad at the student as OB!Leona started trying to attack the student for hurting you, going on a entire rampage as they held you in their arms

After what felt like hours, even though it was half a hour, Crewel was finally able to get a antidote for the potion mishap, successfully getting rid of OB!Leona

Yet right before you could go back to your dorm, Leona stopped you, a scowl on his face as he looked downwards, a hint of jealousy on his face

"You know... what my overblot self said-" Leona said as he held your wrist before taking a deep breath. "It was all true... I cant stand the sight of you being with anyone else but me" Leona hissed as he crossed his arms over his chest, his ears twitching out of embarrassment "...So don't be with anyone else but me" He added sharply, his cheeks dusting a light pink color as he looked at you

Jamil (Side note: I don't know what the Overblot version of him is like so if its inaccurate sorry. Its prob very inaccurate lmao)

The only reason that Jamil got into a potion mishap during class was because of Kalim, even though he didn't mean to

Poor baby Kalim was trying his hardest to get the potion to be exact without Jamil's help, yet today was the day nothing wanted to work out.

You were in the same class during the time of this happening, so you were one of the first people that OB!Jamil saw

Jamil was used to always being in the shadow of someone, always being forced to look worse then someone, which was why he choose not to confess to you, fearing you wouldn't like him for that reason

OB!Jamil quickly tried to take you, not wanting anyone else to have you or take you away from him, yet the normal Jamil stopped him, holding an arm protectively in front of you

When his overblot form saw this, they got furious as they quickly smacked him away, grabbing you gently

"You know, I have always loved you. I'm tired of hiding this like everything else in my life, I want you to be mine" OB!Jamil said to you as he gently grabbed your chin, making you look him in the eyes. "And I'll treat you how your meant to be treated. Like the deity you are" His overblot form added as he looked at you, and your confused face. All the normal Jamil could feel at that moment was seething jealously, wanting to be the one who confessed to you, wanting to be the one who was able to love you

Jamil swear he felt his heart fall to his feet upon hearing that. Yeah, it was technically him, yet it still hurt to see someone confessing to his crush before he could

Luckily this one didn't last as long a Leona's as Leona is more aggrisive then Jamil yet it still did last quite awhile

Kalim tired to use Oasis maker in a attempt to buy some time to wait for Professor Crewel to finish making a antidote, yet it ended up making OB!Jamil even angrier as he tried to attack Kalim

Jamil quickly used his signature spell on his overblot form, forcing him to let you go before he quickly held you, not noticing your confused face as you secretly enjoyed having your crush hold you in his arms

When Crewel was finally able to make a antidote for the potion, Jamil turned to you, a light blush dusting his cheeks as Kalim watched from afar

"I couldn't stand seeing my overblot form confess to you, you know..." Jamil started as he looked into your eyes "But everything that they said was completely true. And I want you to be mine" He added as some of the bystanders nearby had to hold Kalim back before he could do anything out of pure excitement

"And I understand if you don't feel the same way, but I need to get this off my chest" Jamil finished as he gently took your hands in his, looking up at you softly

uh I think we're talking about me? maybe 

I was in the lightning dom team back in 2015 and I was def immature (I was barely an adult, not that it excuses anything I did lmao) and def uh, messed up

if you wanna know what happened i honestly don't remember it clearly because it was uh, 8ish years ago? all I know is someone came over to lightning, also got on the dom team and started complaining about how we weren't doing things well. They used to do raffles so had like a few supporters because they had a lot of money to throw around and stuff. Demanded another user give them control of lightnings dom bank. Kicked off at our dom head and some other people. I was annoyed because it felt rude and disrespectful I believe. I didn't really know the dom team too well, but it just didn't feel nice. I won't go into further detail (I don't remember most of it, and I don't want to frame what I do remember without context because this isn't about me starting drama tbh) but we got into an big argument and I think it was probably fairly nasty. I think our dom head and others agreed to stand down but I wasn't having it because I was upset someone could just walk in and make demands, and when I guess I wasn't getting anywhere/losing the argument I thought I was clever by taking screenshots and uploading them to the og drama rising to like dunk on this person but it was honestly a super childish thing to do. Obvs I don't remember exactly what I was thinking but I guess I assumed people would pick my side? But nah I just caused a mess and a bunch of people left lightning and I guess I haven't thought about it in years because I kinda obviously rightfully got called out on that and packed my bags for earth and then in like 2019 I stopped playing the game (until a few months ago when a friend mentioned FR in passing to me and I suddenly was like big nostalgia)

I used to have a big temper and an attitude for sure. I think some people in lightning already didn't like me before this incident and thats okay. I've moved to nature now and am living a happy lil chill existence with my auraboa trees and silly lineage project. I'm glad to say I've grown as a person since then and I'm a lot more mature - I still don't like it when people barge in and try and tell other people what to do, but I like to think I'd have handled it with a lot more tact and not post it all over a drama forum in order to idk, get some kind of mob justice? Idk what I was thinking would happen honestly. Probably for more drama? The only thing that happened was people complaining about me and the other person and there being like some sort of fight over which of us was worse (lol). 

BUT I guess, rambling sorry, I saw this (I guess I do gotta admit I still love to read drama, but I do my best to stay out of it) and my first thought was like 'oh if anyone does remember this and remember me I hope I didn't hurt anyone too bad' so like, yeah, its like 8 years late but I'm sorry about what I did. It was childish and I was arrogant and rude back then. The ONLY thing I did right in that drama was resign from the dom team and move flights (lol). I hope lightning all the best honestly it was a fun flight. And the person who came in and tried to take over lightning dom - I hope you're doing okay too. Don't get me wrong, I hope you aren't gonna pull this kinda stuff again but hey, who am I to judge past you from 8 years ago when I was also part of the problem?
