I'm getting kinda worried that George might be feeling like every stream he does needs to be better than the last stream (for the main channel ofc) and the reason why he hasn't been streaming if because he has no idea what to stream? I mean, it's been so long since we've gotten a solo stream from him.
It's like how people comment on Karl always needing someone else on his stream for him to be able to stream and I just wonder if George is starting to go towards that path as well. I really hope that George knows that we would watch him play anything at this point really and he's just as entertaining by himself as he is with others. This is me desperate for a solo stream tbh, I like Dream Team, Sex Havers n Feral Boys dynamics but I feel like when he's on his own, he becomes a bit more open about himself?
Also, yeah I agree with you with the whole editing stuff as well but I also kinda understand George with the whole executive dysfunction. Streaming and editing are both kinda his jobs, it's hard to get another job going when you're stuck with this job that is very overwhelming for you to do that causes you to procrastinate on it and also hinders you from doing anything else as well because you need to finish that one first. Reminds me of when George said how his life qualify does down when he's in his editing arc, gosh so relatable.
I just hope he doesn't push himself too hard. I just want him to feel comfortable streaming whatever and whenever he wants, not everything has to be planned. Yeah, this is me in my missing George arc.
this ask is quite long (although i appreciate it) so my answer is it going to be under the cut!!
i mean yeah basically this, i don’t want to sound repetitive because i think i’ve said this a lot but i do also feel like george is falling into the trap of feeling like he has to put out big! and planned! streams on the gnf twitch channel when before it used to be for whatever (looks like it’s reflecting in his main channel on yt too, like how “go big or go home” the challenges have been feeling recently)
like i guess that’s what his alt is for and i understand the need to have a distinction between “high-effort” content and more lowkey stuff but even that seems like it’s become another burden for george when it comes to: finding stuff to do/play and feeling like he “has to” keep up on donations and gifted subs etc etc. it just makes me think about how at the end of the day some of the most beloved streams among the fandom have been the more lowkey ones or the ones which devolved into chaos naturally and although his planned streams are well-received view-wise and stuff (and his effort is always appreciated, words can’t explain how much i love the cooking stream for example) it isn’t worth seeing our cc missing in action for so long <\3 ppl have pointed out streamers like tubbo, ranboo and tommy have struck a good balance when it comes to delivering a steady stream of both high + “low” effort content both equally enjoyed by their viewers
when people say they’d watch george do anything they /mean it/ not in the “oh he can be lazy and put out any old rubbish and we’d eat it up” but in the fact that seeing him enjoy himself alone or with friends is more than enough, we’re drawn to his personality and whatever he puts out is going to be appealing most of the time! some people even resonate more with chilled out content that’s not so “high-effort” we are here for george not the games he plays or his concepted ideas, it’s him doing whatever, his reactions, his persona, him
i feel like george sometimes “falling” on needing other presences in his streams has more to do with the fact that he’s clearly the most comfortable/energetic among friends and bouncing off them is easier, he’s expressed before that he can’t talk for very long himself unprompted so having other people there must be comfortable but yes, solo streams are very treasured in that he seems more willing to open up when he’s alone and tell rambled stories and it’s just… nice i wish he’d see the appeal in occasional solo streams like when he used to speedrun! because he is actually good at carrying them and creating a good vibe, there’s a reason why so many ppl seem to be asking for one right now
and the editing stuff just makes me sad he should know that he doesn’t have to live like this i know he stubbornly wants to be the one to edit his videos (or dream because he trusts he’ll do them justice) but he should realise that there are ways he can better his quality of life in this aspect even looking into finding ppl willing to edit in a similar fashion and offering the resources to (hence my idea of accepting ppls work and looking through for contenders) or finding more effective ways to edit instead of dedicating all his time to one vid and clearly stressing out about it especially because technically he also works on his own terms? there’s nothing wrong with having set deadlines for yourself and feeling like an upload is due and i’m glad he’s not lazy in that aspect god bless or delivering content generally
but being purely unable to concentrate on anything else because you’re focussed on a single video for two weeks sounds awful
hey these are just my messy thoughts though at the end of the day i also take into account he could be busy with general life stuff i’m just making a commentary on him explaining why he disappears and why it’s so hard for him to edit in that time, hope he’s ok <3 and i hope the vid is a banger though i trust it will be, my cc is a perfectionist!
#asks#super#long post#just wanted to get some final thoughts out before i wrap#this topic up ^^#thank you for the anon :]

In the modern world, it often seems like it’s harder than ever to accomplish your goals.
It seems like everyone has already done the thing you want to do — that your idea is already out there, that your niche is beyond saturated.
Want to start a blog? You’re up against a million rivals. Thinking about starting a podcast? So is everyone else and their mom. Hoping to write a book? With the advent of self-publishing, you’re not only up against authors approved by major publishing houses, but anyone, anywhere, with a laptop. Want to become a YouTube star? Better hope you get noticed next to the thousands of other folks uploading new videos every day.
There’s seemingly a million graphic designers, a million wannabe filmmakers, a million other, probably more qualified candidates gunning for the same job you want.
And that’s just in the marketplace. In your personal life, the competition can feel equally fierce. In the days of yore, you were just competing against people in your college or church to win the attention of a lady. Now you’re up against every Tom, Dick, and Harry on Tinder. The dating marketplace hypothetically stretches beyond your community to encompass your whole state, maybe even the whole country.
Yes, in both economic and personal spheres, demand seems high, and resources seem scarce. It’s enough to make you decide to give up and not try in the first place.
Yet this feeling of scarcity is just an illusion, a myth.
In truth, there’s never been a more opportune time to live. Not only because it’s never been cheaper and easier to write a book, share your art, or start a business, but because the average person’s ability to execute on the basics has never been in such short supply.
While opportunities to achieve your goals aren’t as scarce as you think, there are areas where true scarcity does exist: in common sense, in social skills, in manners, in reliability. There’s a dearth of people who know, or have the will, to do the stupidly easy stuff to be charming and successful.
Let me give you just one example. Both off the air and on, guests of my podcast will tell me, “I can tell you actually read my book before this interview and I really appreciate that. It’s so rare.” I don’t bring this up to toot my own horn, but rather to point out how ridiculous it is that this might even be something worthy of mention! An interviewer reading someone’s work before asking them questions about it would seem like the barest of bare minimum job requirements — a prerequisite rather than something above and beyond. And yet the majority of podcasters aren’t even taking care of this most basic of basics.
There are tons of people doing what you want to do, but how are they executing? In 90% of cases, not as well as they could be.
That’s your opening. And such openings are absolutely everywhere.
To take advantage of opportunities, people typically concentrate on stuff like building up their resume — going to the best school or getting the right internship. And certainly, these things can help.
But what’s missed is that it’s often doing stupidly easy stuff that’s going to allow you to make friends and land your dream job. It’s doing the stupidly easy stuff that almost no one else is doing that can most readily set you apart from the pack, and up for success.
What is some of that stupidly easy stuff? Below you’ll find a (non-exhaustive) list of the things it’s hard to believe people don’t do more often, and which have a huge ROI because most people can’t be bothered.
1. Send a thank you text when you get home from a nice party/date. In my opinion, this is the #1 easiest and best way to be a more charming texter. Yet almost no one does it. When someone has you over for dinner, or you take someone out on a date, once you part ways, they typically worry a bit as to whether or not you had a good time. And a party host wants to know their effort to throw the shindig was appreciated. So even if you thank your date/host in person at the end of the evening, once you get home, shoot them a confirming text saying, “Thanks again for the delicious dinner. We had such a good time!” Trust me on this, it’s stupidly, stupidly charming.
2. Write handwritten thank you notes, always and often. When an occasion was especially nice, instead of sending a text, write the person a handwritten thank you note and stick it in the mail. And send handwritten thank you notes for anything and everything else. Received a gift? Thank you note. Job interview? Thank you note. Someone helped you move? Thank you note. Someone went to bat for you at work? Thank you note.
Thank you note writing has become such a lost art, and receiving snail mail is so delightful, that sending handwritten appreciation has become one of the most effective ways to set yourself apart from the pack.
3. Edit your emails/texts before sending. No one ever catches all of the spelling and grammatical mistakes contained within their communications, but giving your texts and emails a couple reads before you hit send will tighten things up. These “clean” missives significantly contribute to making a winning digital impression.
4. Know how to make small talk. We spend so much time behind screens, that when we finally meet people face-to-face, our conversation can often be awkward and stilted. But being comfortable with small talk opens a tremendous amount of doors; sure, it starts out with the superficial, but it’s the on-ramp to deeper discussions — the pathway to relationships with potential lovers, new friends, and future employers. Fortunately, once you know the simple methodology that makes small talk flow, it’s easy to master.
5. Don’t be a conversational narcissist. Related to the above. The only kind of talk many people know how to make these days, is about themselves. Someone who knows how to listen and ask good questions comes off as stupidly charming.
6. Don’t look at your phone during a conversation. In an age of scattered attention, a person who can concentrate their attention on you, and fight the urge to look at their phone while you eat or talk — someone who can make you feel like the most important person in the room — is a charmer par excellence.
Can’t seem to pry yourself away? Check out our complete guide to breaking your smartphone habit.
7. Dress well for a job interview. You don’t have to show up to a job interview in a three-piece suit (unless the position calls for it); overdressing can make as poor a first impression as under-dressing. But showing up dressed just one notch above what current employees at the company wear will immediately set you apart from many other candidates. Well-shined shoes, a pressed shirt, and good hygiene will help too.
8. Come to a job interview prepared to ask questions of the interviewer. Whenever we post this article on “10 Questions to Ask in a Job Interview,” HR folks always weigh in with how “amazed” they are at the number of candidates who stare blankly when asked at the end of an interview, “Do you have any questions for us?” Know some questions to ask going in.
9. Take a woman on a real date. In a landscape of “What’s up”? texts and non-committal hang outs, taking a lady on a real date puts you head and shoulders above other suitors. What constitutes a real date? Watch this video and remember the 3 P’s: Planned, Paired Off, and Paid For.
10. Offer a sincere apology when you mess up. My generation seems to struggle with saying “I’m sorry” when they make a mistake. Numerous times I’ve had my order messed up at a restaurant, and when I bring it to the attention of the waiter or manager, they just shrug, say “Okay,” and fix it, without saying, “I’m sorry about that.” Then the other day an order of mine got messed up, and the manager took a totally different tack — comping my whole meal and bringing me a free dessert. That kind of treatment is so rare, it was unbelievably winning. I even found the manager after my meal to tell her so, and let her know I would specifically make an effort to return because of her gesture.
As it goes in the restaurant biz, so it goes with everything else. Most of your fellow employees will just say “Okay” when an error is brought to their attention. Offering a sincere apology that demonstrates you take responsibility and understand where you messed up and how it affects the company, will easily set you apart (so will immediately trying to make it right and preventing it from happening again).
And in your personal life, apologizing when you stumble is stupidly endearing. You’ll probably mess up again, and often with the same issue, but even when you can’t completely overcome your flaws, showing you’re at least completely aware of them goes a long, long way.
11. Follow through. I get a lot of emails from guys who want to do something with the Art of Manliness, like write a guest article or strike up a business partnership. They are excited! They are passionate! They are…MIA. They never follow-up or follow-through on their idea. I’ve often wondered what happens between their excited initial email, and their descent into silence. But whatever it is, it can easily be avoided by those committed to following through.
12. Be reliable. No quality today can more readily set you apart from your peers than reliability. Doing the follow-through just mentioned. Showing up on time (and just plain showing up). Meeting deadlines. Managing expectations and not overpromising. Promptly responding to emails. Keeping your word.
Are freelance graphic designers, artists, video/audio editors, app developers, programmers, contractors, etc. a dime a dozen? Surely. But a reliable creative professional or handyman? A pink unicorn. If you couple talent and skill with reliability, it’s stupidly easy to dominate your competition and your niche.
When you survey the economic and dating markets, they can seem incredibly oversaturated. Demand seems high and resources seem scarce. But when you take a closer look, you’ll find that while there are plenty of people all grasping after the same thing, there are only a few executing well on the attempt. Setting yourself apart isn’t complicated or hard; it often involves simply doing the stupidly easy stuff that everyone else overlooks.
Their obtusity is your gain; see through the myth of scarcity, take care of the basics, and the world is your oyster.

Worst of You - JJK 07
You meet him under horrible circumstances but everything feels perfect when you’re with him. Too bad you have a bitch of a best friend, anxiety and an inability to learn from your mistakes which cripples your chances to be with the man of your literal dreams. He, however, is a police officer with years worth of built-up turmoil and an inability to make attachments. Or “I’m not leaving until you tell me what’s wrong.” “Cool, I’ll let everyone know you’re moving in then.”
Genre: fluff, angst, comedy
Pairing: officer!jungkook X collegestudent!reader
Word count: 3k
Note: I’m uploading TWICE tonight because I love you and I love writing and I love Jungkook.
| 01 | 02 | 03 | 04 | 05 | 06 | 07 | 08 | 09 | 10 | 11 |
Much to your dismay, Jungkook had started passively ignoring you. All your messages were either ignored or replied to with ‘busy’ 3 hours after he read them. Your calls when straight to voicemail and whenever you tried to arrange something he’d cancel. You knew his job was demanding but you couldn’t understand why he had no time in the past 10 days to message you back at all. Hell, you were sure he had Sundays off so when Sunday eventually came, you were positive he was avoiding you and you planned to get to the bottom of it.
It was a Wednesday and a full week since you had failed your Dorm inspection. Your room was spotless and you kept the commons room clean however, Alex’s room was a complete mess and they found weed in her possession. She was given a 14-day notice of eviction and while you disliked her, you still felt bad. She assured you that she had family nearby and that she wasn’t planning on staying anyway. The fact that Alex couldn’t careless pushed you not to care either.
For a short, blissful moment, you had believed that you would be peacefully alone, but someone was already arranged to take her spot and you needed to prepare yourself for the awkward tension of living with a stranger. You didn’t have time to dwell over your living arrangements, you had high schoolers to tutor. That day, the tutoring session you had ran longer than usual, 45 minutes over to be specific. You never charged overtime because you weren’t a monster but you certainly didn’t appreciate it and when the session was finally over, the overwhelming sense of relief had engulfed you.
Fighting through your tiredness, you decided against going home so you could visit Jungkook instead. You thought he wouldn’t be able to ignore you in person and boy were you wrong. When you had first approached the reception desk, you were surprised to see a younger lady, one with a much nicer smile. At first, that made you glad, the other lady, albeit efficient at her job, was standoffish and blatantly rude. However, you would soon regret every trusting that deceptively sweet smile of hers.
“How can I help you?” “Hi, I’m here to see Jungkook?” You ignored her coy smile and the way she rolled her eyes. Maybe she was having a bad day and deserved the benefit of the doubt. “What’s your name?” You stuttered when you said it which was embarrassing enough but then she called him and rather loudly stated that ‘one of your hookups was here to see you’ and when she had said your name, she let out a chuckle at his reaction. “He said he’s busy and just a piece of advice from my personal experience, if he didn’t call you back then he’s really not interested.” You’ve always been good at having a poker face although it proved useless in moments where you were severely upset and this was bordering on becoming one. However, you pushed back whatever tears were threatening to fall and gave her a curt smile. “Noted.”
When you were finally at your dorm, you couldn’t even sleep. Instead you doodled Pokemon characters in your books and try to make sense of all that had happened. Maybe he wasn’t into you. You were emotional the day that he had confessed, maybe he just pitied you and wanted to spare the pain of rejection. You let out a frustrated sigh as you angrily crushed the paper you were drawing on, aiming it directly into your bin.
From then on you didn’t message, call or visit Jungkook at all until Saturday night. You remember him telling you that he normally had Saturday nights off unless there was an emergency, most of the cases on those nights were just drunk brawls and people who had too much to drink. The phone rang for a bit before it abruptly stopped indicating that he had hung up on you. You told yourself that was it, the last chance you’d give him. If he wanted to talk to you, he would and evidently, he didn’t. However, forgetting about him was easier said then done which was why you found yourself walking through central park at 8pm in October.
You didn’t do much, just wandered around and stared at ducks which were rather displeased with your lack of bread. You went to a street vendor for a pretzel that was far too overpriced but you didn’t seem to care, happy enough that you had something warm in your hands. You even tried to befriend a small bird but it turned out that it just cared about your pretzel and your so-called ‘friend’ flew away the moment you had finished it.
Realising you hadn’t checked your phone in a while, you fished it out of your pocket while seated on a park bench and much to your distaste, you had 2 missed calls from the last person you wanted to speak to.
Jungkook was genuinely busy, that much was true, but even in the moments that he wasn’t, he couldn’t bring himself to reply to you. He grew so accustomed to worrying about no one else but himself that communicating constantly slipped his mind. He wasn’t the best replier and whenever he’d remind himself to call you back, it’d be too late in the night for you to pick up. He wasn’t good at this, he never knew what to say and once you stopped talking to him altogether he felt guilty because his first reaction was relief. He truly was an asshole and you deserved so much better which was why Jungkook had decided to let you go.
Saturday nights were usually reserved for Jungkook’s close circle of friends and their drinking habits. Jungkook normally went home with a girl and this time was no exception, in fact, he desperately needed the distraction. However, mid-way through his conversation with some random girl he had hoped to take home, you rang and he stared at his phone for a moment before hanging up. The moment his finger hit decline, he could feel guilt and regret consume him.
You hadn’t actually meant to call Jungkook. You had meant to call back Jimin since it was awfully peculiar of him to call you at 11pm (or ever?) for no foreseeable reason but your finger had slipped and you called the person right under Jimin’s contact. Since Jungkook was the last person you called, you called Jungkook and you didn’t even notice until he picked up. You were confused at the voice which was obviously not Jimin’s so you quickly checked the caller ID only to realise it was the man who ghosted you for 2 weeks.
Jungkook was half-naked and making out with the same girl on his bed when you called again. He forgot to put his phone on silent so the ringing persisted quite loudly. He tried to ignore it but it droned on for a bit. “Just pick it up, I’m not going anywhere.” She gave him a suggestive wink while he apologised and grabbed his phone, walking to the bathroom. “What’s up?” He breathed out in a tone that was evidently annoyed and there was a pause before you replied. “Nothing much, nice to hear from you again.” Your tone was painfully sarcastic and all Jungkook could do was sigh before replying. “Now isn’t a good time Y/N.” “It’s the only time though, right? Since you only pick up the phone once every 14 days.”
The line went quiet for a bit which allowed you to hear a female voice in the background asking if everything was okay. You weren’t stupid, you got the hint and so you scoffed and hung up. When Jungkook checked his phone again to see that you’d hung up, he ran his hands over his face and resisted the urge to pull his hair out. He hurt you and it was in that brief moment of extreme guilt that Jungkook had realised he regretted every pushing you away. The deed was done though, so he left the bathroom and shook off his guilt. “Sorry, where were we?”
Despite your blood boiling and your fractured heart, you called Jimin back, properly this time. “Hey, Jimin what’s up?” “Hey, it’s an emergency. I need you to tutor me and I-” “No.” And with that you hung up, Jimin was the last person you wanted to spend time with and the last person you owed a favour too.
__________________
It had been 2 weeks since you had last seen Jungkook and your birthday was in 6 days. You weren’t sure how you were going to celebrate it or if you even wanted to at all. You cleared your lessons for that day because you didn’t really feel like spending your 21st birthday with annoying high schoolers. You were still fairly upset about what happened with Jungkook. For the first time, someone showed a genuine interest in you as a person and it turned out to be a complete bust. You were undeniably heartbroken and Jimin surely didn’t fix it.
“Damn, someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed.” You made a sound of disgust when Jimin interrupted your once peaceful lunch. “I don’t think Alex would approve of this.” A bald faced lie, after all Alex didn’t give a shit what you did. “I don’t think she cares about me enough to approve or disapprove.” “She cried for hours when you broke up, I think she cares.” “Why would she care, she cheated on me.” Your face was tangled in confusion although it sounded like something Alex would do. What you couldn’t understand was why Alex had spread a rumour that Jimin cheated on her. “Why did you let her spread that rumour about you then?” Jimin looked at you, clearly not willing to answer but your curious gaze was undeterred so Jimin continued anyway. “If a girl cheats, she’s labeled the campus slut. If a guy cheats, he just gets praised for it. You see where I’m going here?” You smiled at the realisation that Jimin could be genuinely nice when he wanted to be. What a shocking concept. “And they say chivalry is dead.” Jimin jokingly punched your arm.
“Now, to the point, as you may already know, I’m on the verge of failing Peterson’s class and I desperately need your guidance.” You looked at him weirdly, you tutored high school kids, not students in your classes. “I really can’t help you, sorry,” Jimin whined before grabbing your arm and shaking it like a child. “Pretty please, I need to do well in this class otherwise I have to repeat it and get set a whole semester behind.” “You could just do the class during the Summer.” “Oh Y/N, you’re so funny, I don’t do Summer school, it’s not my thing.” “Maybe it should be?” “Look, I’m begging you, I need your help." You cursed yourself for your extreme sympathy because you resolve was surely wavering. “I can’t tutor you but, you can study with me and I’ll help you out.” Jimin smiled, hugging you in a painfully tight embrace. “Who would’ve thought we’d be study buddies, huh?” Your unimpressed face gave Jimin the impression that you didn’t enjoy his attempt at humour so he immediately shut up.
From that point forward, you and Jimin had unexpectedly spent a lot of time together. He was similar to Alex, only genuinely nice when they chose to be and it was soon obvious why they didn’t work out. They were too alike. In the week leading up to your birthday, you had spent a good portion of your time with Jimin. Albeit most of the time was spent revising, you had actually grown to enjoy his company and truly consider him a friend.
Unfortunately, the morning of your birthday was a rather anti-climactic one. You didn’t feel any different than your 20-year-old self and you didn’t have any plans for the day. Except one. It was a Saturday and your new roommate was set to move in this Monday which was why you decided that you would get absolutely shit-faced on your birthday. You’d never had alcohol before, never even entered a club and you were excited to explore these things despite the fact that you hate crowded places and bitter things. It was the socially accepted protocol to get drunk on your 21st birthday and who were you to stray from tradition?
There was a knock on your door which you responded to hesitantly. You knew it would be Jimin since you had buzzed him in but you were dreading the awkward ‘happy birthday’ interaction. “Happy Birthday, kiddo.” You let him in but kicked his shin as he stepped inside, you still hated when he called you that. “Thank you.” You were genuinely thankful in spite of your dreadful tone. It had been a long, hard week and you were simply glad it was over.
Since Jimin had been part of your ‘friend’ group since 7th grade, he came to every single one of your birthday parties. You threw a party every year as advised by Alex and ebbed though you hated them, they always seemed to make your friends happy. Alex liked to pretend that she was being nice by helping you out but everyone just wanted an excuse to have fun. No one really bought you gifts and people barely even knew the party was for you. And like clockwork, every year, Jimin would be invited to your party and every year, he ignored you. But not this one.
“I’m going to make up every birthday I’ve ever ruined today.” You giggled a bit out of disbelief, taking the gift that he had brought for you from his hand. “Honestly I don’t mind, I forgot about it.” You didn’t but you weren’t one to hold grudges. At least not for long. “Nope, you are going to have the best 21st birthday in the history of 21st birthdays and then you’re going to forgive me for all the bad things I’ve done and we’re going to be best friends.” You laughed even harder at his monologue, till you realised he was being serious. “Oh wow, you’re actually serious, okay.”
Jimin made you open the large gift box he got you and inside was a short, black dress that you would’ve mistaken for a skirt if not for the lacy sleeves and open back. “Jimin, thank you, it’s a gorgeous dress but you can’t seriously expect me to wear this.” He looked at you with pleading eyes. “I can’t go into the club tonight with a girl who looks like she came out of a Disney production.” You hit Jimin’s head with the box lid. “Fine, I’ll wear the stupid dress as long as you don’t complain when you have to take care of me!” He waved you off and left, assuring you he’d be back at 7pm.
Jimin came 30 minutes early and helped you with your makeup. Your range was fairly limited since you usually kept things naturally and Jimin didn’t appreciate it. “And you call yourself a lady. Disgraceful.” Jimin also tried to make you wear your hair down but you refused consistently for at least 10 minutes before he gave in. Having your hair down was something you reserved for when you were alone. You just felt more comfortable with it up.
You convinced Jimin to let you wear a long coat because it was cold outside and you were walking but he made you promise you’d take it off once you got into the club which was a fair condition. However, when you had seen the line you presumed you’d never make it in anyway. Jimin grabbed your hand and waltzed straight to the doors where they immediately greeted him and let him in, no questions asked. They stopped you for an ID check though to which you gladly complied and the bouncer wished you an insincere happy birthday which made you far happier than it should’ve.
When you got in Jimin pulled at your coat which you reluctantly let go of and handed it to the waiters waiting in the foyer. You’d never been to a club before but your imagination couldn’t even fathom this. It was huge. There were hundreds of people and you could feel your anxiety increasing at a riveting pace. “I want to go home.” “Not until you’re completely wasted, let’s go.” Jimin takes you straight to the bar where you both sit, you start to spin yourself on the stool childishly before Jimin abruptly stopped you, scolding you a little as if you were 10.
The bartender was busy taking a group’s order and it took a couple of glances before you realised the group was the NYPD and Jungkook was right there. “Jimin. Jimin. Jimin. Jimin.” You were smacking his arm to get his attention off the menu boards and onto you. “What, child?” You told Jimin about Jungkook during one of the earlier study periods and Jimin was convinced he was actually secretly in love with you but didn’t want to put you in danger which is why he let you go. You laughed a lot at his barbaric fantasy.
“Look, there’s Jungkook, the one in the white dress shirt.” Jimin skimmed the group and suddenly realised why you were so sure he was out of your league. He was out of everyone’s league. Broad chest and chiseled jaw. The man had an intimidating aura that was balanced out by his softer features like his eyes and lips. Jimin was amazed and he didn’t bother hiding it. “Damn, if I looked like him I’d never let myself get tied down either.” You elbowed his side, pouting angrily. “What Y/N? He’s built like a god, I’m not going to deny it.” “I know. He’s so annoyingly handsome.” Jimin hummed in agreement and after, he looked at you with a devious smile. One that usually signified trouble. “What are you plotting now, Jimin?” He smiled before bringing you closer and speaking at a more hushed tone. “Okay, we’re going to make him jealous and I’m going to prove my theory.” You shook your head rapidly.
“No, absolutely not, it won’t even work.” Jimin grabbed you by the shoulder, staring deeply into your soul. “This is your one and only chance at love you lonely child. You have to take it. If it works you owe me big time.” You cringed at his words. You’d never admit it but a part of you wanted to make him jealous, to throw a big ‘fuck you’ his way after what had happened. But you couldn’t, you didn’t want to hurt him no matter how much he’d hurt you.
“No, but I do want one of those yellow drinks they’re so cute.” You pointed at a drink which a girl a couple seats away was drinking. “That’s way too strong and I have a feeling your alcohol tolerance is absolutely horrible.” You glared at him for a bit before beckoning the bartender. “Could I get one of those please?” She nodded dutifully with a kind smile and you stuck your tongue out at the rather shocked Jimin.
Your drink came with fruit and you were excited about how cute it looked. “Ugh, Y/N let’s go dance.” Jimin groaned while simultaneously trying to drag your body away from the bar. “But I just got this drink. Go ahead I’ll join you when I’m done.” That was a lie. You never dance and you didn’t feel like starting. You had been infatuated with your drink despite it tasting quite bitter, it wasn’t something you couldn’t grow to like and so you continued sipping it slowly. With all of your attention fixated with the drink, it would’ve been impossible to notice Jungkook’s curious eyes.

From the creators of “Lydia found out she can upload pictures and gifs into your ask box” here comes Lydia found out she can submit text and stop spamming you with so many asks”.
Because, my love, get ready, this is really something. And I’m sending it today because I don’t know what will happen tomorrow, I’ll work half day and then I’ll go get new glasses because your girl is going blind and annoyed.
Please just answer this whenever you want, no pressure, this is.. a lot. I’m sorry in advance.
First of all, my data finished because of tete’s vlive, I didn’t noticed they were on instead of my wifi, I felt so stupid lol, but girl DID YOU SEE, is it me or does he looks more mature and holy shit so sexy ?????? what the fuck Taehyung, I’m actually asking, what the fuck? I want to know what is up with the fuck.
In other news, Jin and poopsie are moving in together. I’m in love and I’m totally Peaches chasing down that cup to put it in the trash. I do that, does Peaches also slow down when a pigeon is walking in front of her? bc I do that, they just don’t care and I’m like ok fine pigeon go ahead, they’re funny lol- but that was just lovely, I can’t stop thinking about how GOOD tae looks, although I laughed bc if there’s something my mom hates is when anyone makes noises while eating and Tae is the master of it. I kid you not, my mom wants to slap me and gets SO angry when I do it (I do it just to mess with her lol) but yeah, I’ve shown her videos of tae eating like that and she’s like NO, GOD NO! it’s so funny! because she loves him and doesn’t want to see him doing that, I think he looks adorable and maybe I would slap him too but hey, he enjoys food. He a baby. Must protect.
And in other/other news, you killed me with hobi/petal because I started writing this right before you post that and now I’m just adding it in here: you killed me because, I was just starting to go about those pandemic and awful year topic, I was reading it in the bathroom and I almost cry, my precious babies!! T_T and OH! how much I want to go for a walk! I need it, yesterday I walked a little, but didn’t enjoy it, we were just getting lost looking for the pizza place.
But srsly, walking is so good ??, months ago I could feel my anxiety burning my soul, it was awful and one morning on my way to work we always saw people exercising and stuff and I realized all I wanted to do was RUN. so we started going for walks in the afternoon after I got off work (we stopped for a while bc A LOT OF SHIT HAPPENED) but that first day I walked like no one else lol, I could feel my thighs crying but hell I wasn’t stopping, and I just felt so so so so much better! it was amazing.
Well, there ya go, a health tip: go for walks, if you have a dog I think it’s better, I saw so many dogs I was thriving lol. Now my knees are killing me because they do nothing but sit all day.
But yeah, as I was saying: Liv, I’ve missed you, and I would love to say that it was because I’ve been busy or doing something fruitful BUT NO, I’ve been like a zombie these past 2 weeks because I’ve slept till late some nights and everything’s weird, christmas was fun but also weird, my cousin couldn’t be home bc covid and it’s just weird, then I couldn’t see my bf till yesterday bc he was sick (not covid), and I don’t know, it’s like everything is fine but it still feels weird, you know? Petal says this shitty year is coming to an end but damn if I enjoyed the fact that I found Bts, I don’t remember what it was like before and I don’t care.
I’m so grateful, I was a big one direction fan, but I can’t compare, you know? I was younger, I was in school, I was a different person. And now, I’m still young *cough*, but I’m not in school, I have a job and I’m different, and in a lot of moments when I need it, BTS say “hey, love yourself!” every chance they get! and even if there are a lot more moments when I think “I can’t, nope, not now” I probably don’t love myself like I should, but I can say that I WANT TO, and I never make new year’s resolutions, I don’t want it to be a “I’ll do it next year” thing, but maybe I’ll take that will and aspire for something. This year Covid was the least of my problems, family, friendships and relationships have been fucking HARD and I am freaking scared, not gonna lie, there are a lot of things I have to think about, to decide and act on. But I’m also grateful I have other friendships that I got to renew and helped me keep going. So so grateful.
And I’m so grateful for you, I’m happy I found you because believe me when I say you helped a lot too. Just the thought that I can come here and express whatever thing, whatever novel I write for you: from how sexy I think Hobi is - to also have the trust and talk about anything else, even when we don’t really know each other, I don’t expect to get anything back from you but I get so much and it’s refreshing so THANK YOU for that.
I got a little cheesy, I want to cry. But I mean it. I appreciate the hell out of you and your existence. This is me, I can start by saying Hey Tae’s so sexy and finish with I love you, Liv. I wish you forever happiness.
Happy new year, queen!! 🍾
Here’s a picture of my Christmas tree last night with it’s new lights because the ones I bought last year failed on me and I was so angry I went to amazon and bought these for 25 dlls! - And a picture of my cat (her name is Spinelli) from last christmas, because well… I thought the world should see her, she cute.
(I promise I won’t do this often, I’ll send normal asks. I just thought it would be easier lol)
Stay safe ♥
Hello my lovely Lydia!! I’m cackling about what you said about Tae because those are my constant thoughts lmao. Like how in the fuck is this man so sexy??? And he has that intensity about him just my fucking god Kim Taehyung. The man you are today, sir. I am quite literally in love with him. Also I’m giggling at your mom’s reaction to how he eats- I can definitely see how it would annoy some people haha. I adore the way he eats, the pout :(( he looks so pure when he’s eating I just wanna kiss his cheeks lol.
Yay for Jin and Poopsie!!! And honestly, Peaches is so relatable for the quirky little things she does and how embarrassed she gets for doing them lol. She probably would stop for pigeons- also that’s adorable, you’re cute.
I’m glad you discovered that walking makes you feel good and healthy!! It definitely does, I need to start working out more in general. I used to be really consistent but ugh this pandemic has killed all motivation for fitness haha.
I’ve missed you too!! I definitely understand the zombie-like state, with the end of the year along with a pandemic and then just regular day to day life, it’s a miracle any of us are functioning these days. And exactly, even though it was a shitty year, I hope there’s something we can all be thankful for or look back at as a positive. Find those dang silver linings!! Mine would be that I got more in touch with myself again. I think I’m finally on track for being enough for myself and being my own source of strength and happiness and that was my goal for this year. So even though this year fucked us all up quite a bit, at least I have that. And of course, always thankful to bts lol. I can’t believe I’ve been a fan for three years now, how fucking crazy is that?!
I’m sorry this year was tough on you beyond COVID, I’m wishing for better times for you in the new year. You absolutely deserve to love yourself and I hope you get to the point where that can be true. But honestly, wanting to do so is fucking fabulous. Keep going, Lyd!
Lastly!! I’m so so so grateful that you found my blog and actually sent me asks, like oh my god I love seeing you pop up in my notifications and inbox. It makes me so happy. You’re an amazing person, my love, and I’m very thankful to know you. Thank you for not only supporting my work but for being an absolute gem to talk to!! I adore you <3 thank you for your friendship, even if just on this silly app. I hope you’re happy this year and beyond!
p.s. your tree is so pretty and YOUR CAT IS THE CUTEST LITTLE FLUFF BALL I LOVE HER!!! Give sweet lil Spinelli a cuddle for me <3
#stainofpaint#i love writing novels to each other and just making everyone scroll past a fuck ton of text hahahaha#it's our thing xo#submission

I love your writing sm and was wondering if u had any tips?? Just on anything really lol, bc I sort of wanna try writing more lol
oh thank you so much! super flattered you want my advice lol. i’m just a hobbyist but i do have some tricks that i’ve picked up from the internet over the years that might be useful. wall of info inbound:
i’ll begin with workflow optimization because that’s more likely to be put into practice. staying comfortable is important :D for starters, i never type on a white background. the first thing i do when i open a new document is change the page color to a light green (my go-to is #C5E0B3). looks a little like this:
doing this helps to lower the contrast between background and type to reduce eye fatigue. idk about you but my job already has me staring at a screen for nine hours a day and the last thing i need is go blind from working in a default word doc. google docs can do this too. this also goes for themes -- change your word processor’s theme to a dark mode!
adding onto that, never use your pc in a dark room. like, in general, but doubly-so for writing. the blue light isn’t good for your eyes, and on top of that, if you need to look at your keyboard to see what you’re typing, you’ll strain yourself further just trying to see the keys. i always have a lamp on when i’m writing, even during the day
not a bad idea to invest in a good chair if you use a desktop. if not, be sure to take frequent breaks so your spine doesn’t implode. additionally, and completely unnecessarily, mechanical keyboards can make writing really fun cause they go CLICKCLICKCLICKCLICKCLICKCLICKCLICK super loud and it can be pretty satisfying. but maybe reconsider if you have a roommate lmao
fonts. my first draft is always written in comic sans cause it’s a silly little font and i like to look at it. however, when i go to edit, i switch it all back to calibri because the font shift helps my brain recalibrate and catch those errors i might have missed initially. two pairs of eyes are always better than one, but if you’re like me and you don’t use beta readers, this might be your next best option
cloud services! preferably a free one, like google docs. since we’re working with type documents, we really don’t need a lot of storage, so the free ones work just fine. super useful for access across devices, something i use frequently since i switch between desktop and laptop depending on how i’m feeling. more importantly, it allows you backups in case something gets lost or corrupted. take it from an animation student: CLOUD SERVICES ARE YOUR FRIEND. i always upload my wips and completed documents to a dedicated folder online. it’s a good habit
do you listen to music to focus? i sure as hell can’t. even instrumentals throw me off sometimes. what i like to do if i can’t focus, or if there’s some external noise distracting me (which is often), is pull up some 10 hour oscillating fan video on youtube and crank that shit until my ears are pure white noise. works like a charm
alright now on to the actual writing tips. these are what i found work for my process but maybe some could benefit yours too
at minimum, know your beginning and ending. it doesn’t have to be super specific but it does help having a goal in mind of where you want your characters to end up. the details can come later
outlines are nice! but they don’t work for everyone. some fic writers just blast on through without anything guiding them and i consider those people to be above mortal weakness. others like to plan so they always know where they’re heading next (i’m others). an outline should never be too detailed though, at risk of it becoming too rigid. leave yourself room for freedom by saving the intricacies for the writing process
also, outlines don’t necessarily have to be finished! as long as you know your ending, partial outlines are sometimes enough to get you started. that’s how i’m doing things with my story
don’t get married to your ideas. sometimes things change and those plans you had for later don’t fit anymore. this is totally okay, because odds are, whatever those changes were, they're necessary enough to warrant removing those ideas to begin with
you don’t have to write from point A to point B all the time. sometimes i get bored with a scene and i put it on hold and move on to another one that i think might be more fun in the meantime. you’ll always have time to stitch it together later
set a word count minimum whenever you sit down to write. it doesn’t have to be recurring, and it doesn’t have to be big. just whatever you feel like you can hit. a thousand sound like too much right now? go for five hundred. or three hundred. it doesn’t matter the size of the goal as long as you’re able to reach it. helps keep your mental happy
use periods more often. this might sound kinda silly, but trust me. snappier sentences are easier to follow. it also inadvertently avoids run-on sentences, which, in my experience, give me a sense of anxiety because i tend to read through those faster, like i’m in a hurry. idk if it’s the same for everyone, but whatever feeling it invokes, it’s probably not the one you’re intending. so, periods
which reminds me! fight scenes: shorter sentences, less detail. your readers don’t have to see everything as it perfectly plays out in your head. just give them a general idea and let their imaginations fill in the rest. dialogue: the less you can say in quotations, the better. saves wordcount too. sometimes it’s unavoidable and that’s whatever, especially in informal writing like fic, but it’s good to keep in mind. another good thing to keep in mind? you don’t have to lay out a whole setting in the first paragraph. sprinkling in details throughout a scene to slowly paint the picture of a subject / setting is a lot more engaging
i think my biggest thing when it comes to fic is FORMAT YOUR STORY!!! by which i mostly mean paragraphs. you don’t even have to know the rules when it comes to indenting necessarily. just remember that too many paragraphs is better than two little. reading long, singular blocks of text can not only be intimidating, but draining. here’s some simple rules to keep in mind if you’re ever not sure when to indent: if a new person is speaking, indent. if the subject switches, indent. if you REALLY want to put emphasis on a particular sentence, indent. and then indent again so that sentence is all on its own :)
obviously the rules of writing are super flexible and nothing is set in stone so you can do whatever suits your style. i know it’s a lot lol but i hope at least one thing in here makes your life a little easier! good luck with your future stories :D

Working For Love: A TerrorMoo Story 9/17
LOOK ma I did it! I got it up on Sat! Look at me somehow managing myself. Remember when I used to upload at the same time every week haha where the fuck did that Crim go?? Anyways, enjoy this chapter and let me know what you think!
Previous Part
Start from the beginning
Brock, contrary to popular belief, liked surprises.
He tended to prefer being the one in control of the surprise, like giving Marcel a birthday party he didn’t know about or showing up to Craig’s job with his favorite muffin and coffee (the unicorn frappuccino, because of course). But being the one surprised could always be nice, too. He certainly got a thrill whenever he stepped onto the scale to see the weight he’d lost over the week, a sensation that used to always be tinged with dread or guilt. Now, twenty pounds smaller, Brock enjoyed looking at his progress, and he added it into the pile of surprises that he did enjoy.
There were some surprises, however, that he didn’t like to think about. So when he opened his twitter to his ex’s ‘single’ status being switched to ‘in a relationship’, the rising feelings that bubbled inside of him were not welcomed. He didn’t give the negative thoughts time to grow before he was snatching the gym clothes off his bed, rushing to the gym. He needed distractions, needed something to shove the feelings down.
He needed Brian.
“Stop that.” He tried to keep the smile off his face when he stared at his reflection in the mirror. The free-weight was getting easier to lift as the days went by, but he still needed to focus on his form. Brian had told him that a good work-out could be ruined by not curling his arms properly, and he didn’t want to put his friend’s lesson to waste. The word friend echoed in his mind, the flash of the earlier status change hitting his chest. It wasn’t welcomed, so he took a slow breath, trying not to let his eyes flicker to the face popping up over his shoulder.
“Nice shirt, muscles.” It was a stupid nickname from Brian, whose arm looked like a cover of health magazine. It was true that Brock had caved to Craig’s pestering and went to get actual work-out clothes, though it took one embarrassing slip of his baggy sweatpants off his hips the week before to agree to it. He’d been thankful that he hadn’t swiped a pair of his older pair of boxers that day, as Nogla and Anthony both confirmed they’d caught more than a peek at what he’d had underneath his waistband. Brian hadn’t been working on the weekend, though he was sure the others told him about the incident.
“You’re distracting,” he muttered, forcing out another huff of concentrated air when curling the bar down for another rep.
“You have no right to say that. Have you seen yourself in the mirror? Oh, wait...” The snicker and mischievous grin reflected by his shoulder showed that Brian knew he was being stupid. Brock tried not to blush at the flirtatious remark with a roll of his eyes. The gym was empty, Sunday nights never hosting many members. Brian was there to work-out himself, which Brock had known when making the rash decision to go to the gym that night. Though it was nice to have the support from Brian, it could also be...distracting. The flush he’d been avoiding before started to leak out when his eyes dipped to the collarbone uncovered by Brian’s shirt, lips twitching at the exposed skin. The thoughts he’d been trying to keep hidden in their interactions were growing with each day he got to spend with Brian. Brock hated the clash of shame and desire that mixed through the crevices of his ribcage with each smile and kind word Brian showered over him.
It’s okay. He flirts back with you. This is okay. You are happy. You’re okay. His mind badgered the word into his head, but the mantra felt wrong today.
“I have two more sets, then I’m all yours to bother.” Brock tried to placate Brian’s need for attention with a shaky smile. The strain of him arms was starting to hurt, but he didn’t want to give in yet. Each time he managed to push harder, he felt another piece of himself fit into place. His eyes closed to try and block out Brian’s distracting image behind him, fingers tightening on the bar to pull it up again.
“You’ll be all mine, eh?” The murmured tease was probably meant to make Brock laugh, but the hot air that swept to the side of his ear sent a jolt of heat rushing through Brock’s body. Jerking at the sensation, his fingers released the bar in a panic. The pleasure that twisted in his stomach was suddenly doused with pain, his foot screaming. Brock’s eyes shot open when he hissed, his foot yanking out from the weight now crushing it.
“Shit!” Brock didn’t like to swear in public, but the agony that rushed through his toe was enough for him to forget his manners. Tears rushed to his eyes, and Brock nearly stumbled back to the floor to grab his foot. Instead, he fell back into Brian’s chest, a strong arm quick to wrap around his waist to steady him.
“Brock, you okay?” Concern was nice to hear over teasing, but Brock struggled to focus on the tone with his foot burning like it was. With his teeth clenched, air struggled to get through the gaps when he bore the grimace at the floor.
“I’m...okay.” Which was a lie, since he was sure he couldn’t put any weight on his foot without pain tearing through his leg. He didn’t want to move his toe, and his stomach twisted when realizing he’d probably sprained it. How long would that keep him out of the gym? Why had he let himself be so clumsy?
“Yeah, and Nogla’s the queen of Ireland. Scotty, get me some ice packs and meet me in the locker room!” Brian’s voice showed no room for complaints when he barked the order out behind them.
“I’m not sure I can walk that far right now.” It was embarrassing to admit, but Brock didn’t want to make the injury worse.
“You’re not gonna.” Brian’s arm moved without hesitation, and it took Brock far too long to realize what Brian’s plan was. Panicked, Brock clutched at Brian’s shoulders and shook his head when feeling a warm forearm brush the back of his thighs.
“Yo-you can’t be serious! You can’t lift me, I’m too-”
“You’re perfect.” The serious edge in Brian’s voice drained the life from Brock’s self-deprecation, eyes looking for a fight when they stared down at Brock. “Whatever was going to come outta your mouth was going to be wrong. You aren’t anything but Brock, you got that? And if you think, for some reason, that I’d have any problem with carrying you…”
Brock’s chest expanded with fear and excitement when his legs were swept off the floor with ease, Brian’s arms barely flexing at the additional weight in his grasp. Brock had looped his hands behind the strong neck to help steady himself, but Brian didn’t look bothered by any of it. His gait was steady, body moving with an ease that wouldn’t be possible if it was under extreme strain.
The fact that someone to lift him, could carry him, was both terrifying and amazing. Then again, thinking back while Brian moved them into the locker room, he couldn’t come up with a time that any of his exes had tried. None of them looked at Brock and had the desire to try. Brock had been okay with that, because he was always downplaying the romantic parts of his heart that dreamt of being small enough to be carried like that. But he hadn’t lost that much weight, and Brian had swept him up like it was nothing. Maybe it wasn’t a Brock problem, but an ex problem. Maybe they didn’t trust they’d be strong enough to carry him.
Or maybe he’d never trusted someone not to drop him before Brian.
“Put your leg up on the bench so I can check out your foot.” He was eased down onto the cold metal with enough room to prop his leg up, and Brock followed the command even as he shook his head.
“You don’t have to, I’m sweaty and my foot will-”
“Brock, I will kiss your foot if you don’t shut up.” Brock’s face finally fell victim to the heat he’d been trying to hide when Brian peered up at him from where he knelt, showing how ready he was to follow through with his threat.
“Why would you do that?” He mumbled out, eyes too shy to stay on the honest gaze. They dropped to his lap, where twitchy fingers entangled themselves to keep from pushing Brian’s gentle touch on his ankle away.
“Why does it surprise you that I want to make sure you’re okay?” The question wasn’t accusaroy, but curious as Brian took his time unlacing Brock’s shoe. The slow slide of the shoe and sock filled the silence as Brock’s mind flipped over the question, wondering what answer would be best.
“Because…” His first intuition was to deny the claim, or to point out times that could pass as allowing help. But there was a caring slide to Brian’s palm against his ankle bone when he kept the foot imobile that showed more consideration than a simple gym buddy should have. A second set of tears hit Brock’s eyes as emotion overwhelmed him, the wave of loneliness crashing hard into his chest.
For months, he’d been okay. Everytime someone asked, each time he saw his ex’s name pop up on his social media, every time someone brought up a memory of their relationship or a joke that made him think of their happier times, Brock was okay. That was just how Brock operated. When he wasn’t okay, others worried and were sad, which didn’t help anyone. He was healthier now, growing from the break-up and finding himself. Plus, his ex was a jerk. Brock was “better off without him” and “ready to find the right person” now that he’d moved on. His heart was already so warm with feelings that Brian gave him. So he should be okay, better than okay, because Brock was always okay even when he wasn’t okay. That was who he was supposed to be. The put-together friend that could take everything piled on his shoulders with a smile and a gentle shrug of his shoulders. To show he was okay, to let everyone else be okay, because he was okay okay okay-
But he wasn’t.
“I’m not okay.” The confession was raw in his throat, shoulders hunched forward and eyelids blinking too hard not to show how badly he was trying to keep from crying. The gentle rubbing of Brian’s thumb on his ankle kept him grounded, but he couldn’t look up, fearful of the expression he’d receive. He felt like he was on the treadmill at the highest level, gasping for air that wasn’t ready to show itself. His fingers clutched the fabric of his pants when he closed his eyes, focusing on the circular patterns being drawn on his skin.
“You don’t have to be. I’ll take care of you either way.” Brian’s voice didn’t sound panicked or dismayed at Brock’s breakdown. Brian somehow knew this wasn’t just about the injury, but he didn’t care. He said something nobody else had before him; Brock didn’t have to be okay. A chord that’d been stretched tight in Brock’s spine snapped as he slumped forward, head bowed down to hide the relief he felt at being given permission to crumble. His back shook from the pain in his foot, which was dwarfed by the agony that burst from his chest. The levy he’d held back with music and weigh-ins broke rapidly, and he drowned in it.
Scotty said nothing when he came in with the ice pack, thankfully leaving quickly after. Brian kept quiet, only using soft words to let Brock know what he was doing in regards to Brock’s foot. He let Brock fall apart, let him put himself back together, and figure out how to be actually okay. Even when he walked Brock to his car, satisfied that the toe was simply bruised and not sprained, he did so with care. Because Brian did care, probably more than most before him.
And somehow, Brock wasn’t surprised by that.
Okay this one was a little sadder than the others but its okay because love and stuff! this is a part of healing, is recognizing you’re human with emotions and expressing them appropriately. I hope that you enjoyed this! As always, like, reblog, and let me know what you think!

GG Strive: Highlights pt. 2
Welcome to part 2 of the GG Strive highlights! If you haven’t seen the previous one, please go here. During the livestream, the developers announced the official website for GG Strive(both English and Japanese) will feature content to help people understand the lore of Guilty Gear. The website features manga based on the events of the games separated by chapters. There’s also Youtube videos of the Xrd series’ story modes uploaded directly from Arc System Works. My perspective of the manga will mainly be from me being a long-time fan of GG. I’ll look at how well and how much information it gives to those not familiar with the series. And, I’ll also be reviewing it as a manga in general with how the writing is, etc. I’ll be using the grade system to judge each aspect. This will definitely be a long post since it’s about the lore. WARNING: My review will contain some spoilers. If you haven’t read the manga yet or you don’t wanted to be spoiled, it’s best not to read this post. (Here is the line for the GG manga!) https://www.guiltygear.com/ggst/en/story/ Readability: The GG Story Digest comics follow the format of reading from right-to-left and turning the pages is from the left side; this is different if you’re not used to reading Japanese material. The font size and style of the dialogue, titles, etc. is generally clear enough. But there are times where it may be hard to see like this one.
The story introduction text of Chapter 5 is mixed in with the background image that has some dark shades of gray. This made it hard to see what it says, especially since the website doesn’t have a zoom-in/zoom-out feature for the pages. You would have to use your browser if you have trouble seeing certain words. Other than this, the readability is very good! Rating: A Artstyle & Presentation: The artist chosen to do the GG Digest comics is Sumeragi, whom you may recognize because she’s known to do artwork for Blazblue. The presentation of her art is nicely done from the opening scenery of each chapter to the expressions on the characters’ faces; there’s a good amount of detail on everything. My favorite part about Sumeragi’s style is the beautiful, soft colors implemented at certain moments in the story like this one.
It perfectly highlights how special the moment is whenever I see it, but it also makes me wish all of the chapters were in color. Sumeragi’s art fits the modern anime style that’s been more mainstream for a while. I think her artstyle is really cute of how she interprets the characters’ designs. I couldn’t help but be reminded of Blazblue more than Guilty Gear at times, though. I personally would loved it if they got with an artist with a distinct style reminiscent of the 90s/early 2000s(for example like Outlaw Star or Record of Lodoss War). Other than this part, I like looking at the pages! Rating: B + (Note: I’ll be going by the English version of the manga by the western side of Arc System Works. The translation has gotten better over the years, but I’ll check the Japanese one for any noticeable differences in the future.) Writing/Pacing: The general quality itself is good, so there won’t be errors like “Welcome to die!” or “This guy are sick”, XD. I noticed the dialogue based on the events of the first Guilty Gear game is improved and the personalities of the characters is conveyed well in each chapter. It does a great job of providing brief character bios and the world of GG in a straightforward way. If you were ever confused on which paths took place as part of the main story, the writing will help make it easier. The writing also adds small details in some of the chapters that you may recognize. For example, on this page below...
For GG fans, doesn’t the man Sol is talking to look familiar? It’s the same guy Sol was stepping on from this.
What happens is the following page between them is probably the funniest part to me throughout all the chapters. The final chapter of the manga ends on a cliffhanger, which is done on purpose for you to watch the Story Modes on Youtube. Now for the negative part... The website does state it’s a quick-overview of events, but I think it’s too quick. There’s so many important details missing that the manga completely ignores. Examples include information about Forbidden Beasts, the Assassin’s Guild, the other Sacred Treasures(like Anji Mito’s fans called Zessen), nations like Zepp, the P.W.A.B.(Postwar Administration Bureau), etc. Other mainstay characters that play supporting/vital role to the series(for example Faust) is reduced to being just there for 1 or 2 chapters. There’s some that don’t appear at all like Slayer, I-No, and Anji Mito to name a few. Things like this is essential to world building in general, but especially for introducing new people to Guilty Gear. Except for Chapters 5 and 3, the chapters of the manga is short. The final chapter being short is understandable, but not for the previous ones. It ruins the overall pacing of the manga because it’s too focused on getting to the point instead of inform you of the details. The second part is something the official GG website lets you know immediately; there will be some events that differ from the games. This itself isn’t an issue, though there are some things I personally disliked. One of them for me is how the Xrd SIGN design of Justice being incorporated in the earlier events of GG(like The Missing Link). That design of her looks like a xenomorph reject with breasts, XD. It’s not as amazing as Justice’s iconic, mech-like design. Another one is based on GGX Plus when Sol encounters Dizzy. It follows the game version at first, but it then changes a bit with creating a scenario where Ky intervenes. How it was done ruined how is in the game with Sol showing some of his humane side to Dizzy and sparing her on his own. It could’ve been done better. I think it’s best to view the GG Digest manga as a basic guide to the world of GG for those new to the series. For long-time fans, it’s just nice seeing more GG related content in general. It obviously doesn’t negate the source material like the novels, Drama CDs, etc. The manga is definitely worth reading, but still important to play or watch the games’ stories for full context. Rating: C I’m glad the story of the Guilty Gear series is being promoted more in the West. I love the lore of GG and its characters, especially since it has the depth of an JRPG rather than a generic plot in most fighting games. Sadly, it’s not easy finding info due to either it’s Japan only and/or it’s very rare. There are a few fanmade English sites and blogs continuously trying to provide this for years. Each of them do have some reliable info that can be trusted, so it’s good to browse around to put the pieces of the puzzle together. So far, there’s no #1 source for GG lore yet because besides the part of finding info, there’s also still areas where mistranslations, misinterpretations, etc. of GG is still present. Mistakes like this happens sometimes and not always easy to spot, but can be fixed with no problem! But sadly, it isn’t always that simple because some people handling GG information be very... “heavy-handed” instead of helpful. So I think it’s best to be not afraid to check and dig, dig, dig! I’m still digging for more GG material, XD. Stay turned for part 3!

BTS reacting to your sex tape getting leaked.

kim seokjin
“My parents will be so disappointed in me,” Jin said. You could hear that he was close to tears, so you sat down next to him and wrapped an arm around his shoulders to pull him close.
“Everyone is working on taking them all down, Jin. Maybe they will never get to see it.”
“But they will hear about it. They will know what we did.. and god.. what if they end up hating you? What if they blame you for it all? Jagi, we wanted to get married soon!”
“Stop it, you have no idea what is going to happen and making up what-if scenarios isn't doing you any good. Let us take this one step at a time and the most important step is taking down those videos as quickly as possible.. and then we figure out the rest.”
He knew you were right, but you needed to tell him the same thing over and over again throughout the entire night to keep him calm.
But maybe that was good, because you were so focused on him that you couldn't have a mental breakdown yourself.
min yoongi
“These bastards,” Yoongi breathed out as he stared at his phone, “I will sue them. Everyone that is responsible for this.”
While your boyfriend was already making one call after the other, you just wordlessly sat on his bed and stared at the headline, re-reading it again and again.
‘Sex tapes of various idols leaked, including BTS and EXO members'.
And when they said BTS members, they meant Yoongi's. Yours and Yoongi's.
You weren't angry like him, you were mostly just embarrassed and maybe even a little scared. People knew that Yoongi was dating someone, but the video showed your face. Now they would know who to look out for on the streets and you doubted his fans were happy about this video.
“Hey,” you hadn't even heard him approach you, but suddenly he was kneeling in front of you, “I will handle this, alright? I don't want you to worry about a thing.”
“That's easier said than done,” you laughed humorlessly, but leaned into his touch when he cupped your cheek.
“I know. Try to trust me on this though, alright? I will make it go away.”
And he did. The video wasn't around for more than two hours before he managed to make it all go away.
You were sure someone had already downloaded it and would upload it somewhere else, but wherever it was uploaded, it was deleted again.
Yoongi kept his promise.
jung hoseok
“You need to stop watching it, Hoseok,” you took his phone out of his hand and shook your head, “It's us.”
“They leaked 21 videos and somehow only ours went public, even though I know the rest of the boys have sex tapes too.”
“What, do you want them having to deal with this bullshit too?”
“I didn't say that,” he sighed heavily and fell onto his back, “Just wish whoever did it would have left all of us alone. Now I have to bear the consequences.”
“Hey,” you sat down next to him and waited until he looked at you, your hand flat on his chest, “We will deal with it, okay? Bang and my boss are both looking into it. We'll handle it.. or.. they will.”
“I know,” but it still sucked and he was still full of anxiety about the future.
kim namjoon
“I will take care of this, okay?” he said, taking your face into his hands and looking directly into your eyes when he realized you were having a mental breakdown, “I will take care of everything.”
“Namjoon, it's.. they..-”
“Stop.. stop talking, babe,” he pulled you against his chest, cradling your head against it, “I know they did. And I know it's unfair and disgusting. That is why I will make sure to find the one responsible for it. You don't have to worry about a thing, I will take care of it all.”
He was so confident.. confident enough to prevent a panic attack.
Whatever he did, wherever he went when he left the building, when he came back, almost half the videos were already gone.
But maybe you didn't even want to know.. maybe it was better not knowing.
park jimin
“What.. what can we do?” Jimin tried to be rational about it, tried not to show how embarrassed he was about the whole thing as he and his managers were discussing the leak of the video.
“We will take them all down and will continue to do so for as long as we have to. For as long as the scandal goes on. Then we find the one who hacked your account and will take him to court. What he or she did was illegal and they will be prosecuted for it, I can promise you that much.”
Jimin nodded, rubbing his thumb over the back of his hand. A glance to his left showed him you were sitting on the other end of the living room and apparently talking to your own manager on the phone.
“What about (Y/N)? People know it's her now.. I don't want her career to be affected by it.”
“Quite frankly, Jimin, (Y/N) isn't our concern. She's not in our company, so we're not responsible for her. I assume her company will handle it the same way we do, though.”
“Maybe we should call them,” another manager added and looked at his colleague, “If we team up, we might get the job done faster.”
“The quicker the better,” Jimin muttered.
He just wanted this to be over.. it was bad enough that people now knew what he looked like naked, but the thought that they all knew what you looked like naked bothered him ten times more.
kim taehyung
“Why does it feel like you're blaming us? It wasn't (Y/N) that leaked it and it wasn't me either,” Taehyung said, anger laced in his voice as he stared at Namjoon and Bang.
“Why the fuck did you even record one in the first place?!” Bang yelled, bringing his fist down hard on the table in front of him, making everyone in the room jump except for Tae, “You should’ve know better!”
“I'm sorry, Sir,” before Taehyung would get into more trouble, you'd safe his ass, “This was my idea. I wanted to try something new and talked Taehyung into it. If you want to be upset with anyone, be upset with me, but not him.”
He should have known you'd do this. You always were the one to take the blame whenever he did something stupid, just so that he wouldn't get into trouble.
Not this time, though.
“She's lying,” he said, “It was both of our idea's.”
“I don't care who's at fault, it's too late for that anyways. This is a mess that I have to clean up, Taehyung. So be a little more thankful from now on, understood?!”
That just meant extra long hours of working, but at least Bang made good on his promise and let all the videos disappear.
jeon jeongguk
He didn't know what to do, his phone was constantly ringing, but he couldn't accept the calls because he had to hold you in his arms to calm you down.
“Please.. stop crying, (Y/N),” he begged, gently running his hand over your back, “We will figure it out, alright?”
It was all over the internet. Jeongguk's and your sex tape. The one you shot about six months ago when you were on vacation because you thought it was a fun idea.
Back then it was, but now it bit you in the ass.
And as much as he begged you to stop crying, you didn't. You were scared, angry, embarrassed.. but mostly afraid what would happen to Jeongguk and his career.
Because if it ended, you knew that you were partly at fault..
..and you didn't know if you could live with that, knowing you ruined it because you wanted to record you two having sex. It was such a stupid reason..

AUGUST EVALUATION — CENTER PERFORMANCE ! now playing: runaway by pentagon || line distribution ╰ ft. @rkhoon, @rkjimin, @rkkangjoon, @rkxjongsuk, @hyojongrk, @rkkmh, @bambamrk, npc #1, npc #2
when she had first heard about the month’s evaluations, the concept should have excited her. taking on the role as a center in a performance of her choice—for someone who thrives off of attention, this should have been meiqi’s priority for the next 31 days. but life, she hates to say it, worked in callous, unjust ways no matter how hard she tried to rewire her brain to think otherwise. she can’t change facts.
the thought of even going to the nova building didn’t dare cross her mind for the first three days of august. meiqi found temporary purchase in a hospital chair by her cousin’s side, and only when he woke from the coma did she bother to remember that she’s a trainee with responsibilities, and she had disregarded them all without as much as a notice. so, after promising yukhei that she would visit with every chance she had, meiqi took off towards the nova building before any of the staff members noticed (she figured they already had, but were being lenient due to her recent model behaviour).
the lecture she got upon arrival had grated on her nerves. rather than punish her for her sudden disappearance, they wanted to reprimand meiqi for posting a god damn song. there was no “hello, meiqi, how have you been?” or “gee, you look like shit. did something happen?” at that point, she would have preferred to get yelled at for acting rashly so that she could unleash all of the emotions about her cousin that weighed on her shoulders. she hadn’t talked to anyone about it except her aunt, so a few sobs might have gotten her off the hook.
but no. nova didn’t care about anything except the possible profits they could lose off of a mere upload onto soundcloud. despite the staff member being semi-kind, meiqi couldn’t control how… insignificant she felt, and so of course, she had to make it worse.
“i’m not sorry for it.”
she had ranted about it to yukhei that evening, without knowing what else was to come. in a desperate attempt to get her to stop complaining, her cousin offered to help her choose her song for the evaluation (she ended up picking another, but she didn’t tell him that).
in the morning, meiqi had dashed around the seocho complex to find groups to join. initially, she had wanted only one other performance so that she could work on it quickly and then return to the hospital before visiting hours were over. somewhere along the way, after images of yukhei wrapped in bandages kept appearing behind her eyelids every time she blinked, meiqi had joined three other groups so that her mind could constantly be occupied; if she gave it no free time, then maybe she wouldn’t have to think about the fact that she almost lost her cousin the same way she lost her father.
and then those assholes had to make everything worsen, tenfold.
was hyun bin really stooping so low? meiqi couldn’t help but wonder if katie lee would treat her trainees in a similar way, or if she’d be much warmer. she liked to believe the latter, and for once since joining nova, she wished it had been another company.
for the next week, she had to deal with being monitored at a two-to-one ratio from lunch to dinner. the instructors were not kind, but maybe that was because meiqi refused to abide by their rules for the first two days. by day three, she decided to just grit her teeth and smile contemptuously. they had learned that running laps was no hindrance to meiqi, but push ups were; there was no way she was going to get down on that filthy floor, nor was she going to deal with the ache in her arms that followed.
though her afternoons were ruined, meiqi still tried to put her all into practicing each and every performance. rather than going to the hospital as soon as training ended, like she had promised, meiqi stayed until the early hours of the morning. whether it was to practice with other trainees, or to go through the motions of choreography herself, or memorize lines, almost every night consisted of only 3 hours of sleep at most, with the floor as her bed and her jacket as a pillow.
when august 11th came around, it got easier. she didn’t have to worry about the snobbish ladies whose sole job was to torture meiqi. from the texts her aunt sent her, yukhei was also doing much better and would be discharged soon. two of her biggest stressors were gone, and that was the first night meiqi returned back to her apartment and slept in her own bed, for a good 6 hours (she slept like a baby in chungha’s arms). the experience had her feeling refreshed, bringing back her positive attitude so that she could collaborate with her teams to the best of her abilities.
by the time evaluations rolled around, the colour had returned to meiqi’s face and the dark circles under her eyes had almost completely faded away. though her frame looked thinner from the intense weeks prior, most of her energy had returned, and her body was tingling in excitement to finally perform as a center.
she introduces her team and the song she will be performing: runaway by pentagon, and eagerly urges everyone to get in their places.
when the music starts, meiqi steps out into the front. she had practiced her facial expressions in front of a mirror whenever she visited the restroom, and had cycled through many before settling on the perfect one for the opening beats. she found that the best faces were the most natural-seeming ones, especially when it came to being sultry. being in a group of all boys, she had shown them each of her flirtatious expressions to find the best one to showcase; she does so, effortlessly, and hopes that when everyone rewatches these performances in september, they’ll collectively cheer in acknowledgement.
she delivers her first lines easily, what with the lack of movement so far, and they come out loud and smooth as if they were pre-recorded. meiqi comes to the front of the stage, her hand trailing across her neck as she sings: “just leave me alone. you can’t stop me” and then, along with jihoon and another trainee, she drops to her knees.
meiqi’s glad her performance is only the second out of all the groups she’s a part of. she’s not harbouring much prior fatigue from having already taken the stage one too many times, and she doesn’t have to worry as much about carefully pacing herself, since at this point, she has lots to give. the only performance she has done so far is kangjoon’s and it served as more of a warmup-slash-rehearsal for hers.
when meiqi takes center again, this time for the killing part in the chorus, her movements are fluid and concise. she doesn’t hesitate to bite her lower lip at the slow part, before replacing her alluring gaze with an intensely focused one as the choreography gets harder.
while watching the choreography of the song at the beginning of the month, meiqi was most eager to do the part where she could have the spotlight solely on her, to showcase her skills without anyone else moving. it just so happened that, following that split second, meiqi had to get close with one of the trainees.
“i’m being colored gray more and more with a frustrated heart, i close my eyes again oh yeah”
she doesn’t mind physical contact at all. jihoon was another case, but they had practiced enough for her to not dwell on the what-if’s regarding his failure, and just do it. meiqi trusts the boy, and she knows that he’s worked hard to improve and not let his timidity get in the way. when his hand passes down her arm confidently, meiqi has to suppress the proud smile that threatens to ruin her performance. instead, once he grabs her hand, she gives it a quick squeeze, as if to say “good job, you did great” before spinning around and crouching to the floor.
her cousin viian had asked, during one of their routine skype calls, why meiqi had chosen a boy group song instead of a girl group because it would have been easier to balance dancing, expressions, and singing live. meiqi had snorted at the idea. she wanted to display how much she’s improved in the 8 months between her audition and now, but also, why would she ever take the easy way out? meiqi loves the difficult choreography and the sort of elegant vibe that “runaway” has. no girl group song out there right now could take runaway’s place, or even had a chance at doing so.
“take me out, please hold me”
following meiqi’s last line, she can finally throw caution to the wind regarding breath control. she can give her all, knowing that she’s done incredible. in some twisted way, she wants to thank those trainers that pushed her for that first week, because the amount of extra exercise she had done, had done wonders for her stamina. meiqi, despite dancing like she’s never danced before, feels like she could do it a million times more (perhaps that’s good, considering she has two more non-center performances coming up).
the final chorus has meiqi placed in the center, and it feels like she belongs there. ever since she was a kid, she had a feeling that she was born to be in the spotlight, but this performance just solidified the thought. it feels like she’s actually an idol, performing on a music show stage, with cameras capturing her every smirk. she loves it. she wants to feel it again soon.
the song ends with every trainee holding one arm in the air, their heads tilted backwards to stare at their fist. seconds pass before meiqi drops the pose and cracks a smile. she bows a full 90 degrees in the direction of the panel of coaches, hoping they know that she’s being sincere right now rather than how she had been acting two weeks ago, before thanking all of the trainees that had helped let meiqi shine. she hugs each and every one of them, and even if all of their skin is sticky with sweat and they’re still panting to catch their breath, meiqi’s smile doesn’t fade.

Fool Me Once - Ch.2
Guys, I got a fucking raise at work and I’m so happy that I’ll drop the chapter that I was planning on uploading tomorrow.
Felix survives the fall. Locus leaves Chorus.
One way or another, though, they’re still going find each other.
AO3
<- Ch.1...Ch. 3
Ch. 2
A week later…
Thwip.
The deer Locus had been aiming at keeled over, dying before it could even scream. It crumpled into the undergrowth before it could alert its neighbors of the hunter just beyond the grazing grove.
Locus reloaded his crossbow slowly, eyes on the rest of the deer. They meandered through the grass, eating peacefully. He picked a buck with an impressive rack of horns from the herd and took aim again.
Thwip.
A bolt through the eye, just like the buck before it. This one’s death was less discreet, however, and the other deer looked up, startled, before they immediately fled. Locus let them go. He only needed two.
Before he got up to secure his kills, Locus swept his sights over the clearing again. No enemies were sighted. He hadn’t sighted any since he escaped the tower.
Reassured, Locus slipped out of the shadows of his hiding place and loped down the clearing to where the first buck fell. He pulled the bolt from its eye, wiped the blood off on the grass, and bagged it. The deer here were small – this one wouldn’t even reach his waist – so hefting it up was easy.
Locus found the other one and bagged it too. Before he secured his bounty, he checked his crossbow. It was near his elbow, ready to be swung up and shot at a moment’s notice, and fully loaded. The sword was on him too, but hidden. He didn’t need anyone seeing it and connecting the dots, but leaving it felt wrong.
Locus pulled down the bandana covering the lower half of his face and wiped sweat off the bridge of his nose. Then he pulled it back into place.
The two bucks went over Locus’ shoulders. The trek back was quiet – peaceful, some might say.
Locus hated the quiet. He worked best in it, but the silence let his thoughts run amok. Without a gun to focus on, his thoughts were even less welcome.
He looked up to watch the birds instead. Melody was farther from the sun than Chorus, but it still had jungles. The refugee colonist fleeing the civil war on their home had settled on the warmest, wettest parts of the neighboring planet. Locus thought it was illogical, but he wasn’t complaining either.
The birds here were unafraid of humans. They carried on their business noisily, hopped from branch to branch, flapped their wings, and emitted so much sound that the jungle was forced to take notice of them. A flash of orange dashed through the foliage and Locus stiffened. Relaxed.
Felix isn’t here.
He had to remind himself of that fact whenever he sank back into old patterns. Felix wasn’t here to watch his back. He wasn’t here to distract people from Locus, or handle his conversations for him. He was dead on Chorus, because Locus left him there.
∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙∙
The refugee colony he stayed at stylized itself The Town of Wode. It was an ambitious name for a place that had more tents than it had buildings, but the people were trying.
“Here,” Locus grunted, dropping off his haul at the communal mess. The two bucks thumped down on the metal countertop.
“Oh – Sam! You’re already here.” Sweet smiled at him from the other side of the countertop, his typical clipboard in hand, and Locus averted his eyes. “I know you’re usually early with your contribution, but eight in the morning is pretty early for two deer, isn’t it?”
“I like to get it out of the way.”
“And we’re all thankful for that,” Sweet said. He opened the bags delicately, peered in, and then looked away with a soft noise. “Ah – Murk! Bradley! We’ve got two deer for the pot, get it to the kitchens!”
Murk poked her head out of the door leading to the kitchens, gave them both a look, nodded, and disappeared back in. A few seconds later, she walked out with Bradley on her heels. Murk took a bag and Bradley took the other, both giving Locus nods of acknowledgment.
“Well, that’ll be tallied off,” Sweet said, making a note on his clipboard. “So what’s the plan for the rest of the day, big guy?”
Locus thought about just walking away. But Sweet’s smile demanded an answer, and people – normal people – didn’t leave conversations hanging. “I have to go to the hospital. Then I might check in with the scouts,” he offered, “and make sure the jungle-side barricades are holding up. See if there are any jobs that need doing.”
“So, more work.”
“Yes.”
Sweet held his hands up. “I don’t mean that as a bad thing, of course! I’m just saying – we’re all glad you came here to help us like this. It’s… really great of you.”
“Thanks.”
“But, y’know, working all the time isn’t very healthy.”
Locus distantly recalled Dr. Joanes, the colony’s hospital director, telling him the same thing. He recalled Dr. Wayne, the hospital’s psychiatrist, also telling him the same. “Yeah,” he grunted.
“So if you’re looking for anything to do… or someone to relax with…”
Locus blinked. Sweet’s expectant expression told him he was missing something, but it took the rusty gears of his brain a few seconds to process what. The answer came up but it felt wrong enough that he doubted it. “I’m not sure what you mean.”
“I’m asking you out on a date, Sam.” Sweet leaned forward, making his curly hair fall into his eyes.
“Oh.”
Shit. Locus glanced to the side, waiting for Felix to dig an elbow into his ribs and then slide in, all smooth oil and grease, and ply the situation into something more comfortable. When he didn’t appear, Locus had to close his eyes and remind himself.
Felix is dead.
“I’m… sorry,” he said. Apologies still felt stilted. He couldn’t ever be sure if they were sincere enough. “I’m not really…”
“Not gay?” Sweet offered, his smile dropping a little. “It’s alright. I felt like it was worth a try.”
That isn’t the problem, Locus thought, but he didn’t correct him. “Sorry,” he repeated, “I’ll go now.”
“Alright. See you tomorrow, Sam!”
He retreated from the mess hall before the situation could grow anymore awkward. Locus thought he would grow used to it eventually, but then again, it had only been a week since he fled Chorus. Walking around without his armor on felt naked, but it was the only way he could engender trust here. They weren’t war-torn soldiers looking for help. They were people trying to a build a new life. That kind didn’t exactly welcome mercenaries. His armor had to stay on his ship for now, no matter how exposed he felt without it.
Wode’s hospital was a modest set-up just over three stories tall. Locus circled the on-going construction at the back of the building and walked inside. “Hello,” he said, nodding at Bagel, the nurse who manned the front. “I’m here for my appointment with Dr. Joanes.”
“Hey, Sam,” Bagel chirped, wiggling her fingers at him. “Yeah, I’ve been expecting you – you’re the first one of the day. Uh, Dr. Joanes is waiting for you in her office, just walk on in.”
“Thank you.”
Joanes’ office was on the first floor – made it easier to access, she’d explained – and Locus found it easily. “Doctor,” he said in greeting, startling the woman at her desk.
“Sam!” she gasped, her hand on her chest, shoulders hitched high, and Locus froze to let her get used to him.
“Sorry,” he said, automatic.
Joanes waved her hand, her surprise melting off her face. “What – no, no, it’s alright. You just startled me. Gosh, we just need to put a bell on you one of these days. You move like a ghost!”
He didn’t have a reply for that. Locus shut the door behind himself. “I’m here for my appointment,” he said quietly.
“Of course. Undress and go to the examining table, I just need to finish this up quickly.”
Joanes tapped out a few more things on her computer as Locus stripped to his underwear. He laid his clothes out on the chair next to the examining table then sat down, crinkling the paper under him. He looked at Joanes to avoid looking at his body, and she met his eyes above her monitor.
“Well, you’re ready,” she said, her fingers pausing. She left her work to walk towards him, pulling her spectacles from her coat pocket as she did. “Alright, let’s see… show me the stitches on your shoulder, please.”
Locus moved obligingly. He bared his neck for her, letting Joanes bend over to peer at the network of stitches on his shoulders, back, and chest. He stared at her shoes as she worked, committing their stitching to memory to ignore how exposed he felt.
“Okay… they’re healing pretty well, I think I can remove this set now. Have you been doing any heavy work lately?”
“Not much.”
“So… you haven’t lifted anything in recent memory? Heavy things, like large loads, guns… animals?”
“…nothing really heavy.”
“Sam.” Joanes’ tone grew firmer and Locus met her eyes. “You’re going to rip your stitches if you’re not careful. I realize that you’re a very good hunter, but please – either take someone with you, or do something else.”
“I’ll keep that in mind,” Locus murmured. Joanes didn’t look very convinced, but she offered no more argument.
“Lean back. That stomach wound of yours isn’t infected anymore, but I want to keep it covered for now. Are you changing your dressing like I told you?”
“Yes. Twice every day, morning and night, after applying the antibiotic ointment.”
“Well, I suppose you can listen to one order.”
He dipped his head again.
“Okay. The worst’s gone, but I still think you need to dial it back a notch. Do you remember what happened the first day you came here?”
It was an embarrassing memory he didn’t feel like recalling too closely. “Yes.”
“You broke a rib.”
“Yes, I know.”
“After I explicitly told you that your rib was already cracked and in danger of breaking further.”
“I am acutely aware.”
“Are you?” Joanes muttered. “Well, the good news is that you don’t look like you’re on death’s door.”
Locus caught a glimpse of himself in the mirror that hung behind Joanes’ desk. The heavy bruises around his jaw – courtesy of Agent Carolina’s impressively deadly spinning kicks – had faded to an unpleasant yellow color. In another week, they would disappear entirely.
“But you still look like you fell down a building’s worth of stairs. All at once.”
“You’ve told me,” Locus muttered. Joanes stepped around him to grab her surgical scissors for the quick snip his stiches required. “I am taking it easy.”
“Taking it easy is sitting down and watching a movie,” Joanes said. “It’s not proving you are a one-man army for everyone with eyes and ears.”
“I’m not proving it,” he protested.
“Well, you’re certainly doing something,” Joanes whipped around with her tiny surgical scissors in hand. She advanced on him. “I’m just here to make sure you don’t die while doing it.”
She cut one stitch. Locus ignored the pain. “Contributing is important,” he said after a short pause.
“I know. But doing it at a detriment to your health isn’t helping anyone. It actually gives people more work to do.”
Perhaps this was her way of telling him that she was sick of treating him all the time. Locus wouldn’t blame her. He was sick of having to be treated. “I’ll make sure to get out of your hair, doctor,” he said dryly.
“Make sure you do, young man. I’m tired of getting people asking for pictures of you.”
The non-sequitur threw him for a loop. “…what?”
“Nothing, Sam. Nothing. Tilt your head, I can’t see when you’re blocking the light.”
He tilted his head. “Doctor –“
“Any more questions, Sam, and my hand might slip and fatally stab you in the neck.”
“…alright.”

SAVING THROWS - SELF-REFLECTION
Saving Throws is the result of a long and challenging process. Since I have already written several posts about the different stages of the project (which you can find on my blog), I will make a quick summary.
We chose our roles for this project and J decided to be the producer, Bronte the production designer, Euan the cinematographer and Robyn was in charge of the sound. For the projects we’ve done, I always say that I don’t mind which role I get because that way I don’t limit myself to a specific role and I try all the options. The surprise was that the role left was director, which I wasn’t expecting at all. That made me really nervous, since it was my first time directing and I wasn’t sure if I could be good enough.
However, we started having meetings constantly, and we worked really well through the different stages of this project. J did an amazing job. Not only did she write the script, but as a producer, she would always keep an eye on us to make sure that everything was on time and we all knew what we needed to do. She also sorted out the costume and props (special thanks to Beth for lending us her desk!). Bronte sourced the bow, arrows and chair. Euan and I worked together to create a shot list. I also made a storyboard (a really bad one) to use it as a kind of guide. Euan and I asked J about D&D because we really didn’t know much about it. Personally, I had no idea what the game was about. So J explained to us the basic concepts. She mentioned taking inspiration from the miniseries Over the Garden Wall. We then had a better idea of how the film should look. Lastly, we went on a location recce. Everything seemed to be ready for the shoot, but we definitely faced some problems.
Since we planned to shoot the first scene during the first day and the second scene the next day, it was chaotic. The first scene was more difficult to shoot and it took more time than we were expecting. Even though we had a plan, it didn’t go as we had hoped. We were kind of all over the place, so we found ourselves rushing through the shots to get all of them before loosing natural light. The second day went better. We didn’t have many shots to get and those we had were easier, so I would say it went okay.
The challenge was post-production. Euan has literally been our hero. Since he’s the only one who can run Pro Tools on a computer, he has edited and has done the sound mixing for the film. I’m just amazed by how much he’s done. I should also mention that he did everything while working on other uni assessments, so yeah, pretty impressive. When he started editing, he noticed that we had missed some shots from the first scene. This caused a general panic. Fortunately, he came with this idea of editing the film in a more montage-inspired way. We didn’t know if it was going to work, but it was the only option we had. Euan, J and I also had a meeting on Zoom with Peter, who kindly helped us by acting as Mark. We also asked for more voices on our group chat. Once the edit was finished, it was time to work on the sound. I feel like this was the most challenging part of our film because creating a war environment is a difficult task. However, Euan did an incredible job. J divided the sounds we had to source, and we all uploaded them to google drive. We make sure to help Euan in every possible way. Finally, the film was ready and we were all happy with how it turned out. There were obviously some mistakes that we noticed, but having in mind the circumstances, we were proud of it.
The crit was a lot of fun. I loved watching everyone else’s films. I thought they were all super good! We were the last group and I was a bit nervous about what the class, Zoe and David would think about it. Nevertheless, they were all so supportive and sweet. Some people pointed out that there were some cuts which didn’t quite feel right, which I understand. Zoe also said that even though the sound was good, there were some mistakes in the levels. There was also a bit of a debate about whether Nara should have had a full elf make-up or not, which could have caused a different impression in the audience. Although I was aware of some of the aspects that could be improved, it’s useful to hear what can be changed or fixed. Constructive criticism is always welcome.
After finishing this project and hearing the feedback, I believe that I could have done a better job as a director. While I’m happy with the result, I feel like I’ve let down my group a little bit. I’m not someone who is very decisive or knows how to manage people. I was a bit overwhelmed with everything because I thought that if something went wrong, it would all be my fault. So I felt under pressure. Thankfully, my group helped me throughout the entire process. Next time I will try to have a level head and I will try to trust myself a bit more. But I definitely think that I’m better at following orders than at giving them.
Despite the problems we’ve had, I’m very happy with our film and I’m super proud of my group. I also wanted to say thank you to Zoe and David for these months. I’ve absolutely loved this module. I’ve learned, but I’ve also had a great time working on these projects.
By the way, the password is savingthrows. And also, Euan is going to make another edit of the film to fix some of the problematic bits, so whenever that is ready, I’ll share the link.

Comes With The Job.
AU
Characters: Emily Prentiss x Reader
Requested by: Anon
32
"It's not every day you almost die. Well, I mean in this job it's definitely a more frequent occurrence, but you get the point."
A/N: Reader has been newly recruited to the team and Emily explains to the job.
Still feeling sick from yesterday (it was bad), but I’m awake this morning and gonna spend my time in bed writing because all I did yesterday was empty the contents of my stomach into the toilet bowl and nearly pass out. Oh and I binge-watched Supergirl while I wished to die to avoid whatever illness possessed my body yesterday.
It was quite morning at the BAU. Walking into the bullpen you noticed not many people had shown up yet. Turning your head to the side you look up at Emily’s office. You could see her sitting at her desk bent over her work with one hand dug into her hair. Taking in a deep breath you make your way to her office. You lift your hand only for the door to open. Lifting your head you meet her dark brown eyes. A wide smile spread across her face. “You made it!” She said before enveloping you in a hug.
Stepping into her office you looked around. It looked nice and cozy for being an FBI agent’s office. “This makes me want an office.” You say making her smile again.
“One day you will.” She said. “Have a seat. We have some things to discuss.” You took a seat in the chair across the desk from Emily. “So first things first, congrats on passing your exams on the first try. That doesn’t happen often unless you’re a freaking genius.”
“Thank you. I blew everything off to study for those exams.”
“Well I can tell you’re a hard working person. I watched your physical and I was impressed. You passed with flying colors. Again, something that doesn’t often around here.” She opened your file. “You have a clean record. You come from a good family which is good. A stable home life helps you stay on your feet. Impressive recommendations. They speak highly of you. I won’t expect too much from you. But don’t worry I won’t force you do more than what you can handle. Once you get the hang of things around here it will get easier and go smoother than you’re first few weeks will go.”
“Oh I’m sure the first weeks will be rough but I’m a tough person. I can handle it.” You say with a nod of your head.
Emily smiled. “Well I’m happy to hear that. We are a close knit team here. We are all close. More of a family than a team of federal agents catching bad guys. You’ll fit right in with this team. They already love you.”
“But they’ve-”
“Penelope Garcia our technical analyst did some digging on you after I specifically asked her not to. If Penelope likes you than so will everyone else.” Emily closed your file. “Any questions?”
“Uh yeah.. How often should I expect to be injured?”
Emily chuckled a little. “Let’s take a walk, shall we?” She said standing up from her desk and leading you out the door of the office. "It's not every day you almost die. Well, I mean in this job it's definitely a more frequent occurrence, but you get the point. Trust me, I think this team has an injury record. Elle Greenway, a former agent here was shot by an unsub in her own apartment and went a little well.. Crazy if that’s what you want to call it. Aaron Hotchner, our previous unit chief, he’s been stabbed and got into a brawl with the same unsub, his SUV blew up temporarily messing up his hearing in one of his ears and it killed a former Scotland Yard and FBI agent, but there’s a lot that has happened to him injury wise.”
She led you out of the side door and into the hallway.
“Derek Morgan, another former agent, jumped from one roof of a building to another injuring his ankle in the process, he’s been thrown out of a window by an unsub, and countless other things.”
Emily pressed the elevator button. “Dr. Spencer Reid was shot in the knee while protecting a victim from an unsub, he’s been kidnapped and tortured while on a case. Jennifer Jareau who used to be our Communications Liaison is now one of the profilers on the team, she been in brawls, nearly attacked by vicious dogs, kidnapped and tortured due to her time spent in the State Department, oh and hit over the head with shovel. We’ve all been car accidents. One involved a semi truck.”
“What about you?” You ask cutting into her speech as you both stepped into the elevator.
“Oh dear gosh, where the hell do I begin?” She laughed. “Uh well, I’ve been shot at, one bullet actually hit me in my shoulder, I’ve been in a car that was hit by a tow truck and I was in one of the SUVs that was hit by that semi... Uhhh.. OH! I’ve been stabbed, I’ve been beat up by an unsub when I had gone undercover on a case..... A lot more has has happened but that’s beside the point.” She said waving her hand in dismissal. You raised en eyebrow in curiosity. What the hell were you getting yourself into?
“But I do want to say...” Emily said as you two walked into the courtyard. “Whenever you feel yourself losing or feel as if you’re slipping away, just know that we will come to your aid. We never leave someone behind. We pick them right back up and help them on their way to becoming better. We are there for each other and I swear we won’t lose you.” You nod your head with a smile.
“We protect each other and we lean on each other. We rise higher and stronger than before and we never back down when we are facing the challenges that comes with the job. Personal relationships get torn apart and we’ve seen it happen. We tend to hide things even when we know the others will have our back even though we think that we are hiding will make us seem worthless.”
Emily grabbed ahold of your hands. “You may be new but you are now one of us. I never want you to feel like you can’t tell us anything. Whatever it may be, we can help you through it. We won’t let you fall. This is can I promise you.”
HALLELUJAH! PRAISE THE LORD! I FINALLY UPLOADED SOMETHING!
If you liked this one than be sure to like, reblog, and leave your feedback! :)

Episode #6: “Can i PLEASE get a blindside.” - Jared
ok so basically the game has been sooo quiet and ive like. felt dead. idk. i had a breakdown last night bc of it and i cried on my couch (KNOW THERE WAS A LOT MORE THAN THIS LKSDJGKLDSGLS I WOULDNT CRY PURELY BC OF THAT) but yaaa and now im better but like the entire day i was throwing up in class (or like feeling anxious im exaggerating sorry) about going home.
i didnt want mo out but with that being said i didnt want anyone out?? after i mentioned to him that stephen/mo were targeting each other, rhys came to me with the idea that like him jared chloe and i should make a chat, and i was down for that bc it would secure my positioning and like ALSGKSDG who'd flip on an alliance THIS early.. right?? right..
chloe was really not talkative with me. stephen/jared were active so i appreciate that immensely. im just thrown off. i dont really know who i can or cant trust.
OK ALSO SIDE NOTE CHRIS SENT ME [IM NOT EXAGGERATING] 55+ MSGS SPILLING TEA ABOUT HOW THE TUATHA HAD AN OG ALLIANCE WITH EVERYONE BUT MITCH + MAYNOR - which i knew about but LASKGLDKS AHHHH. and he leaked that stephen wanted kori/bryce targeted and i leaked that to bryce to further stephens target. IM JUST SO MESSY LOL
also i kind of predicted a swap likeee omfg. and i dont know how i feel. i kind of felt safe on my tribe??? but like.. oh no. anyway, my tribe isnt super dominant in challenges or anything (compared 2 the other tribe who has bryce/stephen/drew), but i think we can win a lipsync since we have a woman, gay men, and a metrosexual male who has an outgoing personality (and i mean that in the nicest way obviously). IDK I HOPE WE WIN BC THAT TRIBAL WAS HORRIFIC AND I LOVE MO SO MUCH AND AHH.
ill probs give a video soon in more depth with what chris said. yalls deserve it.. oops period.
I HOPE YALL CAN FORGIVE ME. im eating hotdog. bye bye love u all.
Wow I like the whole tribe! Alyssa is probably my front runner of talking and honestly she's great! I am in her spell ahhhh but hey JARED is here too woo! I think at least with Mitch and Zach too I'll be safe but I'll see! This challenge could either go really well or really badly for us but I'm excited to do anything creativity!!
I absolutly love my tribe at the moment, i'm getting along well with alot of them except Kori who i haven't spoken to much at all but im confident in our abilities to win! Jared is talking a little bit about wanting the game to pick up a little bit and i agree to some extent however blindsiding someone just for the sake of a blindside isn't smart gameplay so im just gonna lay low nd continue making those strong bonds here there and everywhere to hopfully come out on top should we end up at tribal
youtube
Can i PLEASE get a blindside

hi it's 6 am but rhys fucking filmed vertically so if we lose he automatically has my vote
I feel good but also scared. I dont think I'll do as good of a job as I hope, but it also is turning out decently so far. My biggest concern is time. With having work tomorrow, I can only do the editing on my lunch break of 90 minutes, then whenever i get home which probably wont be until 6, given the upload time that leaves me with about 3 hours in total. Hopefully I'll be able to work with Rhys and Jack's stuff, as i think it'll be easier for me to do it then. Regardless, I'm gonna be a zombie but LOL this is the second Wednesday in a row I stayed up late except this is not for school and instead of 3 hours, ima get 2 hours of sleep haha that is so sad and funny and heebee jeebee zoinks, alright goodnight
Two things: 1) there's really nothing quite like making a fool of yourself multiple times in a single org, just to be immune for one round. 2) i am horrible at looking for idols
So Matt just told me he thinks we’re gonna have a double tribal right before merge which is like ew I hate that throw it out please, speaking of throwing out uh Kori can go because he’s wearing on my nerves like yes we’re gonna get things done on time calm down please and thanks.
these people are actually delulu if they think that video is winning. no fucking way we are winning. time to go to tribal!
So the swap has happened, and I get what is almost probably my worst case scenario player-wise. All of my close allies, with the exception of Kori, are currently on Cyrena. Meaning that winning immunity isn't even really good, since it puts them in danger.
I think there's a way to make this bad situation good though. Getting to finally work with Michael, Matt, Loris, and Drew can actually be a blessing in disguise. If I get on their good sides now, they might clue me into their plans once merge rolls around. That's the hope, anyway. For now my goal is just to survive being swapped with a bunch of people I've barely spoke to!
The past 24 hours have been major toughie for me. Staying up late and then trying to manage editing a video, work, and time constraints, and I won't lie, its been exhausting, but I didn't want to let my tribe down, or anyone down I guess. A little ways through, I kinda felt pretty defeated and then learning at last minute it was due an hour before I predicted made me panic A LOT internally, but it does seem like the tribe likes it so if we do lose and if they do vote me out, I can look back at this and feel like I did something right.
Well a lots happened and to be honest at times life and this game move too quick for me to even remember if I've mentioned it. We swapped, and I'm trying to just keep myself afloat however I can.
The challenge was overly stressful and I have no idea if we'll pull it out. Editing has been so stressful and I've found new appreciation for the people that do it. I just hope whatever I whip together will just be enough so that I can breathe and really take stalk of my new situation.

So, I haven't been around a whole bunch recently. However I'm glad we didn't go to tribal, that could've been a reason if my name came up. So I'm glad I have time to more cement my bonds on this tribe and keep my name out of peoples mouths.
We JUST WON IMMUNITY WOOHOO. I was kind of nervous with a music challenge considering the only other one I did previously I did not do the greatest in :P. Both videos were amazing and im so glad Eve and Jones's mom liked ours significantly greater than the other one! As far as my position is concerned, I am reunited with Jared and our relationship is still strong I think so that's good. Stephen I am HOPING will be ok by just latching on to Kori at least for premerge. Those two are still the ones I trust the most, but I also like Alyssa Chris and Zach. I WISH i could connect more with jack, but i feel like every time we play together it gets more difficult to hold a conversation, so that's a yikes. Jared myself and stephen are diligently working on the idol search, but it's likely already found. I'm pretty sure there are too many components for someone to just find it by themselves
WELL. Im a target tonight! God we really do love that for me. We really do. Kori, eat my fucking ass. You leave me on read all the time. And then you have the NERVE. THE ACTUAL NERVE. to be like "omg stop slipping in my dm's!" Boo if you didn't leave me on read constantly then maybe i would actually want to speak to you! an actual moron. And then STEPHEN HAS THE FUCKING AUDACITY to me like "ya lol i'll be at tribal i'll make the decision between you and Kori at tribal!". BOI. THAT IS NOT HOW YOU GET TRUST IN SOMEONE. Its fucking ridiculous. Thank god Michael is in my corner, hopefully drew and bryce too. I am NOT getting 15th right now, no way. I am BETTER than this. i am going to make it work, tim gunn style. maybe its time to break the fajitas and channel their energy once again
Why do I go on the initiative literally ever? I'm clearly bad at it, I wasn't even remotely thinking things through and I SHOULD have let Stephen or someone else suggest someone but no I had to be mildly greedy and wanna send home Matt whom I barely DM.
I already flopped editing the video, and now here I am flopping the social/stategy game that I love playing supposedly.
Of course I tried reaching out to Michael and Drew FOOLISHLY because I wanted to build trust and maybe work with them. So naturally Michael tells Matt because ofc they'd be close as would Drew probably since he and Michael have been together since Day 1. As it stands I'm stuck praying Loris is gonna vote with me and it just sucks because I'm so bad at this game.
I'm trying to keep a cool head right now because there's still time. Stephen and I are trying to work logistics, see if we need to switch the vote to say Michael in case of an idol, but I'm not sure Loris/Bryce would be on board for that.
There's a pretty good chance that I'm definitely dead. But I'ma fight to the bitter end!
Today I learned from Stephen that Kori is in some dangerous water. He I guess said Matt's name to Michael who told Matt and now them and Drew are voting Kori. However Bryce and Stephen and perhaps Loris are all voting Matt. Now this is good if it works because honestly that group having to endure their numbers dwindling is good for my game. It only leaves Jack and Alyssa but I think we better be careful because I can see both of them slipping through the inevitable war zone that is gonna be happening.
Today's been a pretty informative day for me. After losing the immunity challenge by a hair, I was worried because I didn't think I had bonded very well with my current tribe through One World, luckily for me, that doesn't seem to be their biggest concern at the moment.
During the initial stages of the vote, I talked to Kori and the two of us decided Matt would be the easiest target to take out. I was leaning towards voting Matt because we hadn't talked very much, so hearing Kori was on board right away simplified things for sure. Bryce and Loris both seem to be on board with it too so I shouldn't have anything to worry about at this point.
In the morning, things got a whole lot more complicated. Matt found out he was the target through Michael, and began his campaign to get Kori out instead of himself. I'm not entirely sure why Michael decided to do this, but it doesn't make much of a difference at this point. Matt campaigned to me, and I sorta pretended to be on the fence. I was listening to what he said, but Kori is realistically one of my closest allies, there's no way I'm voting him out to side with people I had just met.
Once campaign season got under way, I had a conversation with Chris. Chris tells me that on original Orfeo, him, Loris, and Zach believed there was an alliance of Chloe/Sharky/Drew/Michael formed. This explains not only why Sharky was seen as an easy boot on swap-Tuatha, but also why Michael wants to keep Matt instead of Kori. With Chloe re-joining after tribal, him/Drew/Chloe/Matt would form a tight majority. Without Matt, they're a minority.
I proposed an idea to switch the vote from Matt to Michael or Drew. I said it was because I was worried about an idol, but this alliance is the real reason I wanted to do it. However, Kori, Loris, and Bryce are comfortable with the status quo and since it's not my neck on the line I didn't feel the need to push too hard.
Me, Kori, and Bryce now also have an alliance with Loris, which is cool? I haven't gotten very close with Loris yet but he seems like a smart player tied to Chris and Zach which spells good things for us working together in the future. Assuming I survive this vote and have a future, of course.

hi I think I might make it past final 15 that’s nice umm... I suggested an alliance of me Bryce Stephen Kori to counter the potential power of chloe Matt Michael and drew once chloe joins our tribe because my brain is massive. but now we’re like scared for idols . scary shih anyways like how r u I’m good.

oh huh tribes r gonna be even again next round... so I have to make this conf by default just in case of a you know what wait no anna u said no more 24 hour challenges QUEEN ... thank god I can’t be bothered to delete this so she’s being SENT
Right now there's so many things running through my head with the introduction of Matts vote steal, because realistically i could convince him to give to me or i could keep him around as a potential shield. I don't want to do it to the guy but also a vote steal could shift the tides of the game in my favour later down the line. so it's a difficult decision and one id rather have more time to contemplate.
youtube
Wooo ok operation vote steal is a go and next round we’ll be swimming in green hopefully but with one world sis og tribe lines just ain’t it!
God im over this tribal. Like ugh these people really are under Kori's mist so like im probably going home. Do I think i might be able to survive? a small glimmer of hope says yes, but i'm not confident. God im just... so annoyed at this. Im clearly on the outs here and I just HOPE i can pull through i just am so scared. I know if i do leave though that I have fought my damn hardest to stay tonight. Im trying to think of the positives because its hard to do so because im being sad atm.. UGH. the fajitas really have failed me tonight, their light has dimmed and their guidance is no more. i am now with the darkness. we r one.
Oh my fucking god my heart is breaking. Matt is basically in such a deep hole he's going to go home, unless he plays an idol. And Alyssa has an idol. And she doesn't think it's smart to use it on him because Michael says he's just gonna go home next round. His social game hasn't been up to snuff and they're gonna boot him regardless, so she wants to keep us with power and let him go. And I agree with her. Which kills me. I'm usually able to just be a robot when it comes to this like yes I will make the smarter decision if it means I'll be emotionally torn, and this is such an instance. Luckily, it's not my idol to give up. Yes Alyssa says it's "our" idol but it's her call end of the day. I just... fuck. This is all stars man. And I'm actually starting to feel, for once.
Well it's about an hour before tribal and at least on it's surface it would seem Matt is going. I'm not confident though because any number of things COULD happen. I'm hoping there's no idol play, just because I feel like pre-merge just isn't a good look for me.
If Matt does pull something off, then kudos to him, and if it's me that'd make this my final confessional for the season. I've had such an amazing time playing and while I feel like I've been playing a lower key game on purpose I feel like I'm doing what I can to really come into my own. I hope the bonds I've made are gonna stick and that everything works out for us.
But if it doesn't I guess I'll have to find a way to be ok with that. This has been such a unique All-Stars experience so far, and I hope I can take what I've gotten from it and make myself better for it. (Also highkey hopefully this isn't my last confessional and I'm getting sentimental for no reason.)
