I was going to leave this as a comment on the ask you just answered, but it was getting too long, so, new ask it is: As amazing as Jon and Rhaegar being twins is, there have been many ideas/thoughts on how to squish Dany into a Resonant AU just for fun. Do you have any you especially enjoyed thinking about or think are plausible? Her being their eight-year-old reborn triplet would obviously be fun. I do think her being from yet another universe where she hasn't met Jon yet makes the most sense, so that all three of them are on sort of an even playing field coming into their new circumstances. (Maybe even one where she hasn't hatched dragons yet, that way when she gets a dragon egg with Jon and Rhaegar, it's just as exciting for her as it is for them? Or a verse where she never meets Jon at all, and instead saved the world with Aegon/Young Griff and/or Rhaenys?) I like the idea of her being reborn into the younger!version of Nettles too, thus being their little sister instead of their triplet. I feel like the dynamic shift with a very pretty and Valyrian-in-appearance yet natural born little sister could get real fun and interesting in the Red Keep very quickly, especially since they really do need more girls in this family... All that said, I think my absolute favorite idea for Dany that has been suggested so far is probably the one with her showing up unexpectedly in an au of Reverberate AU where Daemon is shocked at receiving three babies instead of two. 😂 If you DO write a drabble with her in it, I'd vote for this one. I can just see Daemon's shocked pikachu face at being handed THREE babies when he was expecting two...
I think the Resonant set-up but with triplets is the most popular suggestion, but also the least plausible to me. A triplet live birth is so exceedingly rare that people are going to talk about it, and I feel like word would reach Daemon eventually and he'd put two-and-two together. Plus, they'd be an attraction any time someone visited the Gates of the Moon, and TWO Targaryen colored children out of three is going to be nigh impossible to keep under wraps.
So an "early Nettles" relationship (if you ascribe to the theory that Nettles his bastard) would work better for sure. Perhaps he has a dalliance with another lady in Rhea's court before Elys arrives, or perhaps it's with *gasp* a commoner, so she is baseborn. I think it's easier to "hide" a bastard if the mother is a commoner, but a noble lady would have SOME means at least. Perhaps Rhea learns of it as well and "handles" the matter, fuming, to further clean up Daemon's messes so as not to deal with the political inconvenience of her husband's outright infidelity.
So here, Dany would be slightly older than the twins, physically, but they'd be near enough in age to be basically triplets. Maybe on Rhea's deathbed, she's like "by the way, asshole, you have ANOTHER illeg--erm, I mean you have an ACTUAL bastard child living in Gulltown."
As you said, it's an interesting scenario because a) you have the tension of Viserys wanting a proper legitimate princess so he'll have to legitimize her (even if she's *le gasp* baseborn!), and b) the bastard-by-association fears with Dany and the Velaryon boys. And Jon and Rhaegar of course ready to spring to her defense for anyone who dares try to confront her about her bastard roots.
My preferred "which Dany makes the jump" is also a 14-16-year-old version. I think it's cleaner if she isn't the mother of dragons yet, as that's a rough (and complicated) set of bonds to have broken, and she gets to share in Rhaegar's wonder. Plus Jon gets to be double the big brother! Though in terms of maturity, a 16-year-old Dany who hasn't yet gone back to Westeros and has been struggling with the politics of Essos is also a fun midpoint between 14-year-old Rhaegar and 19-year-old Jon. She would feel more like the Dany people are familiar with than her very innocent/naive fourteen-year-old self.
I'm with you where my personal favorite would just be Daemon, all confident in his prediction of twins to the point of commissioning a double-sized twin-dragon-head cradle, getting flummoxed by triplets and spending the next three years terrified of something happening to Dany. (Once she survives their first year, his suspicion probably falls upon the Spring Fever that killed Elys.)
It's probably the least satisfying for people who want to read Dany-with-the-boys, since I'm betting they want the payoff of them being able to converse and seem more like their canon equivalents, vs the much more blended outcome you get in Reverberate, where the boys (and Dany) act somewhat more like their physical age, especially early on.
I'm definitely far more likely to write something along these lines in a oneshot, since the character relationships/dynamics get exponentially more complex whenever you add a new one to it. With the original Resonant trio, there are four main dynamics to follow: Jon+Daemon, Jon+Rhaegar, Rhaegar+Daemon, Jon+Daemon+Rhaegar. With Dany, on top of those four, we now also have Jon+Dany, Daemon+Dany, Rhaegar+Dany, Jon+Dany+Rhaegar, Jon+Dany+Daemon, Rhaegar+Dany+Daemon, and Jon+Dany+Rhaegar+Daemon, aka SEVEN more. It's not so bad in a oneshot, where you don't have to cover the development of all of those--it's generally just a snapshot of their relationship at a certain point in time.

Targaryen restoration au
Imagine if the following happened.
Rhaella lived through childbirth and got to take care of Dany and Viserys
Elia, Aegon and Rhaenys were able to escape to Dorne before the sacking of King's Landing
Arthur Dayne took a pregnant Lyanna to Starfall to find proper care to deliver Jon. But let's say in this au Rhaegar told Arthur the Prince that was promised must be named Daeron III
Jon Connington is called and returns to serve his lord's children
At some point they all link up and begin to plot to restore House Targaryen and take what is rightfully theirs. With Fire & Blood
With Rhaella, Ser Willem, Elia and Arthur around. Viserys never descends into madness and becomes more well adjusted.
Lyanna survived childbirth. Lyanna could not return home. She's too ashamed after her actions led to the deaths of Rickard and Brandon and she knows if she returns with her son, Robert would kill them. Arthur and Lyanna raised Daeron together. One thing led to another and they fell in love.
With outside forces preventing the crown from finding them(Doran, Varys and Illyrio) the Targaryens are never found.
Dany has a happy childhood and while they move every often, she has happy memories with her mother, brother and cousins.
With Rhaella, Doran, Oberyn Arthur and Jon Connington around, Aegon, Rhaenys, Viserys and Daenerys all grow up well versed into politics. Arthur and Oberyn properly turns Aegon, Daeron, Rhaenys, Dany and Viserys into warriors.
Because of Arthur's presence, he would not allow or tolerate Jorah Mormont.
With the vast wealth of Illyrio and Varys influence, an army of sell swords are at their disposal. They have the Golden Company, Windblown, Second Sons, Unsullied, and Storm Crows
With an alliance with Dorne, Aegon is betrothed to Arianne, House Tyrell are known Targaryen loyalists. Daeron is betrothed to Margaery and Daenerys is betrothed to Willas, The Targaryens could reach out to the Greyjoys and promise revenge and plunder. Viserys is betrothed to Asha.
I don't know if the dragons would factor into this au. Maybe there is a ritual, magic via the red priests/priestesses or something they found that could hatch the dragon eggs. If so the dragons are given to Rhaegar's children because prophecy. Aegon's Dragon will be named Visenya(Drogon) Rhaenys' dragon will be named Meria(Rhaegal) and Daeron's will be named Ghost(Viserion)
The War of the Five Kings turns into the War of Kings & Dragons.
Renly runs back to Stannis after he finds out the Tyrell's true allegiances. The brothers put behind their grievances and stand together.
When Cat goes to treat with Renly, she is surprised that Stannis and Renly stand together. They offer Robb a choice, join us. The Lannisters must be dealt with and then deal with the invading Targaryens.
Battle of the Blackwater ends with the Stark-Baratheon alliance victorious. Robb rescues Sansa and Joffrey is executed. Cersei is executed and Tommen is fostered at Casterly Rock by Tyrion. Tywin falls in battle.
Littlefinger is executed and Varys escapes in time to meet with the Targaryens.
The Targaryens arrive. They are met with Dorne, the Ironborn and the Reach.
All out war.
The Targaryens obviously win. But they are smart. They give their enemies the chance to bend the knee.
Then the Targaryens, Starks, and Baratheons unite their forces and marches North. to face their true enemy.
Aegon VI's small council
Hand of the King:Jon Connington
Grand Maester:Marwyn
Master of Whispers:Varys
Master of Laws:Oberyn Martell
Master of Ships:Mace Tyrell
Lord Commander of the Kingsguard:Arthur Dayne
Meanwhile I can see Euron return and hire a Faceless man to kill Willas Tyrell. Euron tries weasels his way into Dany's good graces. There are two ways we can play this. Dany sicks the Kingsguard to kill him or he slowly begins to corrupt her. Blame Viserys and cause Targaryen infighting. And after Viserys is out of the picture. Euron helps Dany take the throne and cement the Targaryens and the Greyjoys alliance through marriage, let the Long Night kill her cousins and they can rule the Iron Throne together and he has the means to bind the dragons to her will.
In the scenario where Dany stays loyal to her family. Euron is captured and is awaiting his execution. With no dragons to burn him. Dany has him executed by Wildfire. "Dracarys"
Ending 1:Rhaegar's prophecy is true and his children save the realm from the Long Night
Ending 2:Aegon, Rhaenys and Daeron sacrifice themselves to end The Others, while Dany brings peace to the realm
Ending 3:The unholy union of Euron and Dany plunges the world into darkness.

Modern au in which hotd is a game of dungeons and dragons that viserys made everyone play as a family bonding activity. It was supposed to be a low stakes fantasy political puzzles-solving thing but when alicent misunderstood the thing about the prophecy, he got so mad that he quit. Luke, not wanting the game to end because he liked that a few sessions ago his character got to cut someone’s eye out with no repercussions, took his place and killed his character as quickly as possible. Every time someone dies they’re supposed to help out with one plot point but rhaenys was so mad that Luke killed her off that she no longer attends, so it’s kind of anarchy, especially since Aemond brought his girlfriend to the last few sessions, and she is throwing a wrench in everyone else’s plans. However this is what Luke lives for, so as the dm he has allowed alys to stay. He did ban Viserys because alicent keep trying to bring him back but every time he showed up, he would grind his teeth together and drive everyone crazy. Obviously based on @circuslollipops’s post

Baelon Lives AU. Basically Aemma and baby Baelon both survive but Baelon is very sickly. He dies when he is five. Daemon is obviously a dick about it. Rhaenyra and Laenor are pulling their usual act so Jace is obviously Harwin but Viserys decides to make his grandson his heir. How does everyone react? Otto has no way to squeeze more power with Aemma still living. Rhaenys and Corlys get their son in power as a potential regent but not their blood on the throne. Aemma and Rhaenyra obviously get into a conflict over the grandkids but really what can anyone do?
So the biggest question here is the Daemyra relationship - is Aemma trying to stop it or does she want the family to get along? 100% I think part of Rhaenyra’s willingness to jump into bed with Harwin immediately after marrying is in part some bitterness over Daemon (and Viserys) getting to fuck around while her fucking one (1) guy WITH her husband’s blessing is high treason. But the circumstances in which she’s marrying here are very different from canon; she's not the heir, nor is she expected to be named the heir. She's "merely" the wife of the heir to Driftmark. Considering she would still have Laenor's "approval" to be carrying on with Harwin, I think it's likely she has a slightly more positive reputation; it's not that people don't think she's a slut, it's just that I think people would see this more as a "Velaryon" problem than a realm problem. I think that would give Rhaenys and Corlys more room to get a bit shitty with her if they want, and I also think that would give Aemma room to call her out on it.
Once Jacaerys is named heir though, that turns the conflict into - do we want a bastard or Daemon on the throne? I think, similar to how Renly and LF initially treat the Joffrey issue, they would try to separate Jacaerys from Rhaenyra as they would see her as a "bad" influence. Harwin is probably sent from court right away, and Jacaerys is brought in to start learning immediately. I don't know that Corlys wouldn't eventually just come around the same as he does in the book and show, especially if Baela still exists and is engaged to Jacaerys - kind of throwing up his hands and going "close enough." But the Baela issue I think would be an issue - Daemon is the only other option for heir, but he only has daughters. This marriage would be a symbolic rejoining of all three competing claims - Viserys, Rhaenys, and Daemon - and it could be enough to stop the fighting in the family but regardless, Jacaerys is going to face opposition. It might be similar to a Daeron thing honestly - there's lots of talk, there's some minor agitating, but with all the actual dragon riders on Jacaerys' side, really, what is anyone gonna do?

Rhaenys killing smallfolk is so…. Like wtf, and then people be like “Kinslaying is the worst crime there is! She’d be stupid to do it!”, first HOTD never introduces the notion of kinslaying, and killing hundreds of people is a crime too! She is already a criminal for what she did, why stop halfway if you’re going full murderer ? If you’re gonna commit a decapitation worthy offence, then you might as well kill the people who are a legitimate threat to your future great grandchildren and granddaughters themselves.
Them coming out saying that Rhaenys didn’t kill them because it’s not her war…. Lol, it was her war the moment she agreed to betroth her granddaughters to Rhaenyra’s sons. Her family (the little that is left of it) is in legitimate danger and she passed up the opportunity to kill people who WERE ACTIVELY PLANNING ON KILLING HER FAMILY ANYWAYS. (Yes, I know it was mostly Rhaenyra and Daemon but Jace and Luke and Joff would have to go too and Daemon is the father of Rhaena and Baela, the twins have legal claim to the throne, so no ways they letting that slide either).
Yeah, this has been my argument as well. I will never not be angry about this damned episode, esp this scene.
My biggest gripe about this fool of an episode is that if Rhaenys says she doesn't want to "be involved" in "their" war is that in ANY iteration of these events where Baela & Rhaena exist without turning this into a full-fledged AU like sweetestpopcorn's "The Black and the Greens", Rhaenys will ALWAYS be "involved"...
because those girls are DAEMON'S DAUGHTERS and ONE OF THEM LIVES WITH DAEMON AND RHAENYRA!!! And this Rhaenys constantly has said she primarily cares about her own kids and grandchildren, not Viserys, Daemon, or Rhaenyra...so what gives?!
In a world where these strategy-minded people would, you know, think strategy...Rhaenys practically spoon-fed them a public reason to go to war and assume a protective-justice persona!!!
To further paint the blacks as violence mongerers or even just shit-starters, even with those killed being peasants, bc the sheer number of people killed simultaneously who live around you & around your castle who have historically been a part of some Faith-led attacks against the crown (Aenys, Maegor, Rhaena & her brother Aegon--the Poor Fellows) is astronomical. Killing that many smallfolk doesn't pay and rather makes for a larger number of angrier smallfolk with a reason to be angrier than average. You'd think she'd realize that and idk, maybe not kill dozens if not thousands of smallfolk.
Otto will always look to them as possible rivals because of that connection to the person he thinks will likely always contend with him/anyone for power, espe after he includes the younger boys' hostage-taking in his terms in episode 10. Aside from Otto--who had a grip on Alicent's decision-making until it came to Rhaenyra (as if Rhaenyra doesn't come with her kids, who Alicent has accepted the risk of exile or total ruination for 10 years, but I digress).
And Alicent--by the next season's 2 trailers--appears to go back to Otto as a consultant and guide as to how the greens will face the blacks, so we can't argue that she will not escape his influence even with her allowing herself to understand his manipulativeness. She obviously didn't want a war and has tried to stave it off by holding Rhaenys hostage and sending that damned page to Rhaenyra with Otto's terms--that is if she actually sent it--she also sets up a possible war through usurping Rhaenyra in the first place! And Alicent isn't actually fighting against Rhaenyra for the sake of "the realm" but for for her own position as the mother to a possible king/wife of a past king and the lives of her kids.
Even in the book--if you are inclined to believe that she believes this and/or has sincerely taken Otto's fear of Daemon as her own maybe bc similarly to the show he instilled in her that fear of him--Alicent brings up Daemon's supposed bloodthirstiness and inevitable murder of her kids as reason to usurp Rhaenyra ("The Blacks and the Greens"):
As for the kinslaying part, they refused to insert Rhaenyra's lines of that, instead making her grab Otto's pendant and throwing it off the bridge in a much more flaccid version of what she does with Orwyle's chains in the book. Without the context of her giving Aegon that chance to withdraw AND criticizing Orwyle taking the green side and basically going against his own maester code of following traditions and laws, show!Rhaenyra's protests against Otto is more losing the desired cool & careful, wise reservedness that HotD already favors over original "proud" book!Rhaenyra. And I think that it's to give the Dance story this faux measure of "balance" that ozymalek talks about HERE:
People often argue whether HOTD showrunners are biased in favor of Team Black or Team Green. I think the answer to this question can't be encapsulated within the context of "bias", at least not fully. They are biased for both and neither at the same time and it's difficult to explain, but I will try to articulate how I see it. The Dance era in "Fire and Blood" is something that will fundamentally cause the feelings of cognitive dissonance. I think this is why people initially disliked this book when it first came out. It did not provide easy answers, it was written as a historical account, the in-universe historians were clearly biased. People, however, had trouble realizing who the historians are biased for and against. Team Green would have you think that "F&B" is biased against the Greens, because their allegiance as maesters clearly being to Hightowers notwithstanding, they could not evade simple historical facts: that most of the kingdom supported Rhaenyra, that Greens were horrendously misogynistic and that her usurpation was clearly wrong. That's why, approaching it from the "choose your favorite war criminal" point of view, it was difficult for Greens to accept that their preferred side is so cartoonishly evil - obviously bias must have been involved, even though the only pro-Black narrator of F&B is Mushroom, the rest are Greens. The maester's anti-Targaryen bias, however, manages to sneak in and mess with the reader's balance, causing said cognitive dissonance. It's hard to deal with it as a reader, let alone as a showrunner who's trying to adapt a story in which not everything is set in stone. They incorrectly assumed that, because they are constantly forced to question what is happening in the story, the bias is with the underlying idea that there was a correct side. As such, they assumed that all the inconsistencies result from maesters not choosing to view it that way. Ryan Condal repeatedly stated that he does not want watchers to pick sides, while George RR Martin embraces it and even encourages it (and I think that he himself has picked the Blacks). Such is our nature as human beings. So they decided that they have to balance the scales. Because Greens are poorly developed, they added more characterization for them that contradicts their book personas (abused child bride meow meow Alicent who is clueless about the plans that in the books she herself set in motion, for example) while simultaneously taking the characterization AWAY from team Black members. Rhaena and Baela barely have any lines, and though this may be the case of simple racism, it's pretty telling that they ignored the fact that Baela is tomboyish and has short hair. Rheanyra herself is so toned down that she does not resemble her book counterpart in the slightest, making her seem weak, stupid and undecided. Daemon straight up becomes a villain and a wife murderer rather than a throughoutly gray character (book!Rhea Royce unambiguously dies after a hawking accident while Daemon is still fighting in the Stepstones); that's because Team Black was in a desperate need for a corrupting influence in order to balance the scales. But some Greens aren't spared from this treatment either. Otto is made much worse than he was in the books, he straight up pimps out his teenage daughter so that he can elevate House Hightower. While Aegon is also a sex pest in the books, showing him openly rape a lowborn woman was a risky decision (as was the not very subtle implication that he rapes Helaena as well); not to mention that the child fighting pits come from Mushroom, whose entire gimmick is making shit up. So neither side is really spared from being villified and whitewashed, depending on whom we look. The showrunners were fully committed to making choosing sides a confusing process, making the cognitive dissonance of this story to be even stronger. This is why they aren't really biased for or against anyone.

I think the only person demigod!reader loves is Elia Martell, after she founds out what horrible fate happend to Elia and her child she would haunt the murder and everyone involved
In the Robert's rebellion? Yeah, she and her children are the Demigoddess' babies.
So much that...Elia doesn't die in this AU
Because, you see, they were locked in the same place when Tywin attacked King's Landing and sended Gregor and Amory to kill Elia. So the reader was there.
She lived thousands of years seeing people she cared for dying or abandoning her.
She holded Rhaenys when both appeared, covering her little eyes as the Goddess did the only thing she could, used an forbidden power.
The power to control the liquid inside of a living being.
She didn't kill them, but she made them suffer. As she also did, for everything has consequences, she pleaded to the gods and her cries were heard.
Once her Betrothed appeared to take her home.
And she obviously forced him to take Elia and the kids too.

Random thoughts. In an AU (and highly unlikely situation) where the roles were reversed and it was Rhaenys with an illegitimate kid instead of Corlys, how do you think would that affect their relationship as a couple and family dynamic? For sure Rhaenys would've wanted to be involved in that child's life somehow. Or so I think.
Oh, yeah, that's one of the most unlikely AU's to ever AU because it's not just out-of-character (both in terms of personal relationships and political smarts because, alas, it is political) but it's massively unheard of and dangerous and there are so many factors that go into something like that and that might change the dynamic of it all that it makes my brain hurt.
But, just going off of the slightest thought of it, of Rhaenys having another child? Of course, she'd want to be involved. Rhaenys is a very maternal, loving character. I think her children mean a great deal to her. If there was the option of her having this child, as she would with pretty much any child and grandchild in a perfect world, close to her, then she'd take it. But as to the specifics, I can't answer.
Obviously, the funniest thing would be Corlys and Rhaenys each admitting to illegitimate children and then just deciding to call it even and get on with their lives just as before.

Weird take but what if instead of being born to Rhaenyra Targaryen Jacaerys was born to Aemon Targaryen and his wife Jocelyn Baratheon. So in this Jocelyn was pregnant when Aemon died, Jaehaerys still names Baelon as his heir not only passing over Rhaenys and her unborn child but also her unborn sibling. Things get complicated when Jocelyn gives birth to a boy(and lives i refuse to leave Jace without at least one parent) that she names Jacaerys(many think that she's trying to honor the king and have him name her son heir as is his right but she's not). This causes tensions but the king still refuses to name Jace his heir due to not knowing if he will survive the cradle or even childhood as many of his children didn't and he didn't want to risk it but in doing so he angers even more people than in canon because not many care about him passing Rhaenys over because she's a woman but in this AU she has younger brother and by law he should be heir.
Same events as the ones from canon during Baelon's time as heir happens, Jace grows up between Driftmark, Stormsend, and Dragonstone at Baelon's insistence that it was rightfully Jace(don't worry Vermax also hatches in this time). Except here once Jace has turned Baelon petitions to step down as heir to the Iron Throne in favor of his nephew, Jacaerys. Thus shocks many people(including the Baratheons who thought he wouldn't give the tittle of heir to his nephew).
In doing this infront of the whole court with many of the major houses present put Jaehaerys in a tight spot, on one hand tradition demanded that he name Jace as his heir but on the other hand he had not only named Baelon his heir without expecting his grandson to live. This obviously causes some tensions to rise to knew heights in court because if Jaehaerys names Jacaerys heir he will require a regent for nearly 8 years before he can ascend the throne but if he keeps Baelon as heir this could cause a civil war.
In the end Jaehaerys agrees and names Jacaerys as his heir and if Jaehaerys dies before Jacaerys reaches his majority his uncle Baelon will serve as both his hand and his regent alongside Jace's mother.
From here on out things are obviously different such as Baelon lives because obviously the matters of succession cannot be resolved in a day and therefore everyone was more preoccupied with that whole mess and were not able to poison Baelon(its my personal theory that the maesters/citadel poisoned him in order to install Otto as hand of the king and have an easier time destroying House Targeryen and their dragons), Daemon's marriage is annulled by Baelon on Jace suggestion and is betrothed to Rhaenyra also on Jace's suggestion, since Aemma doesn't have the pressure to produce an heir to the throne in this she lives, Jace is betrothed to Laena who is only a few months older than him, Princess Gael is also alive(also another person i believe the citadel ordered to be killed).
Ps: Both Rhaenys and Jace have Rhaenys' F&B cannon appearance, black hair with a silver-gold streak and purple eyes.

help i am having way too many thoughts about that au now. rhaenys as de-facto reigning queen while viserys is living his best life building his models and nerding about history. rhaenyra being rhaenys' daughter. laenor and laena being very obviously corlys' even though nobody dares to say it aloud. aegon, aemond and helaena also being rhaenys' at a time when she probably shouldn't be having more children. i am just. thinking.

hello miss dwell, we see many Rhaegar wins the rebellion aus, and they always have Aerys dying or disposed and everyone in the 7 kingdoms is happy to have Rhaegar as king (even though he angered many lords including his allies while chasing his prophecy). but what about an au where Aerys wins the rebellion? basically everything is the same as canon except that Aerys lives and somehow still king. obviously nobody likes him, he is mad, but what can they do if he and his faction wins? is he going to send Ned, Robert, and Jon Arryn to the wall and keep hostages (like Renly or Robb?) as wards? If Elia and her children are still hostages then what about Lyanna and her son? will he make Tywin his hand again? will he disinherit Rhaegar’s two ´legitimate’ children and name Viserys prince of Dragonstone instead of Aegon? what matches can he arrange for his children and grandchildren? It’s less explored and I’m curious.
Is this assuming an AU where Rhaegar still dies but Aerys wins the Rebellion?
If Robert, Ned, and Jon Arryn are captured alive Aerys is killing them. He certainly wasn't offering Brandon or Rickard Stark the Wall, and I really don't see him doing so for the others, especially when he called for Robert and Ned's heads in the first place. Aerys is completely unstable and bloodthirsty.
Robert, Ned, Jon Arryn, Stannis, Hoster Tully- they're all getting executed, probably in as cruel and demented a manner as possible. We could hope that he might be persuaded to spare Renly, the Tully kids, and the infant Robb, but if they are spared, they're probably living out the rest of their lives as hostages at court.
Benjen might escape if he's been up North the whole time, but he'd have to decide between surrendering to save Robb, or maintaining the rebellion and facing an invasion from the south and the death of his nephew.
If Lyanna survived, she's probably spending the rest of her life as a hostage as well, or being sent to the Silent Sisters. Baby Jon might actually be shipped straight to the Wall, if Aerys fears another rebellion might be launched around Rhaegar's bastard son.
Elia is probably also being held prisoner, Rhaenys and Aegon might be entirely disinherited, and in that case all three might be shipped off to the Faith, or, again, Aegon might be sent to the Wall with his half-brother.
I can see it being very likely Aerys names Viserys his new heir and either plans to wed Rhaenys to him, or uses Viserys' hand to attract supporters. Maybe he lets the Lannisters back into the fold and Tywin gets the Viserys - Cersei match. Maybe the Hightowers or Tyrells come calling.
Either way, I think further warfare is inevitable, and several years later we might see the North, Vale, and Dorne rebel again.

i do think an au where laena lives, and rhaenyra still has aegon but he’s straight up a bastard is a really interesting if highly unlikely au. like, even if daemon accidentally knocks her up while laena is alive, rhaenyra would realistically go to him or even her father and be like “holy shit i need some help here” altho - i mean i’m assuming she wouldn’t even freak out about it too bad bc she has aegon at the end of 120, she can still just claim it’s laenor’s whether he’s alive or not. it’s not like people believe her about the first three, she’s not exactly doing anything different with this one is she! daemon might start acting up when her baby comes out looking valyrian and while i am a daemon/laena/rhaenyra truther, there is a difference between having a third u keep on the down low and your husband knocking that third up, especially in a world like westeros. that + rhaenys is not fucking stupid thanks very much, when rhaenyra gives birth to a valyrian looking baby (regardless of whether laenor is still alive or laenor died 9 months and three weeks ago) and daemon starts crying screaming throwing up while laena has gone catatonic in the corner, rhaenys is gonna realize Something Fucky Went Down. but like, if viserys is just like “oh wow isn’t it so funny how genes work, i mean my dad had the valyrian look while my mom was practically lannister colored isn’t that so funny how two kids with the exact same parents can look so different, i’m so happy you and laenor had a fourth child” this is just gonna be another “rhaenyra clearly had a bastard” scenario EXCEPT. i mean is daemon gonna just stay quiet like harwin did? is laena going to continue being close to rhaenyra after rhaenyra clearly and obviously had daemon’s bastard?? is viserys, while covering for rhaenyra, still not gonna be supremely annoyed that daemon fucked rhaenyra AGAIN??? it’s a much more tense situation for sure, but Aegon would likely still just be a Velaryon, and then um, hopefully laena sits them down and is like “pull OUT next time seven fucking hells” and viserys ii gets butterfly effected away.
(imagine if she has viserys ii as well. she’s really shooting herself in the foot there but that would be so fucking funny. just being like “okay this one is in fact a bastard my bad guys, this is viserys waters, his dad was some random guy” and viserys has daemon’s whole ass face. omg. i think her dad would just keel over and die early).
but anyways, if rhaenyra just decides “fuck it i’m saying this one really is a bastard” that’s soooooo fun. i think jason lannister’s head would explode, personally. i think aegon the elder would piss his pants laughing, ESPECIALLY if she has the audacity to name her bastard “aegon waters.” i don’t know how alicent would react and i don’t think alicent would know how to react either. i think that might actually break her.
#like just staring her in the eyes and going ‘this one is a bastard he won’t inherit anything. jace is legitimate tho 😁’ i think the entirety#of king’s landing would lose their collective shit bc what a baller ass move aksksksjsjjs#getting on my soap box#how would this affect the dance? idk but it would be funny as fuck

Since you're answering questions Bachelor AU questions... What were Rhaenys, Aegon and Rhaegar's reaction to Jon being on the show? Did any of them watch? If so, what was each of their reaction esp on the ending?
Anon! I'm loving these questions.
If I write a part 3, obviously the Targ drama will come up, but I'm not sure that would cover their consumption of the show, so I don't think this would be a spoiler.
Rhae: Rhae watches it religiously, sick to her stomach every episode. Anytime Jon brings up his mom, she holds her breath, and she can't decide if she's happy or disappointed that he never talks about his dad's side of the family. She cries at the finale. She spends an hour after the live airing with her phone in her hand, typing and retyping a message to Jon to congratulate him. She ends up deleting it.
Aegon: Egg tries to watch it, but it's boring, and watching Jon on TV is weird, so he gives up. Plus, there's this strange thing he's feeling, he can't quite put his finger on it. (Guilt. It's guilt.)
Rhaegar: Rhaegar will not stop telling everyone that his son is the Bachelor. Also, did you know his son is a famous footballer? And that his son won the Cup a few years ago? (Rhaegar never once watches the show. He finds out Jon isn't engaged but is dating someone from a tabloid. He's insulted that Jon doesn't call and tell him the ending personally.)

In Rhaegar lives AUs I love the idea of Aegon and Jon having a complicated and loving, But Complicated relationship. They love each other, but at the same time....issues, Jon would NEVER be happy at court or at Dragonstone for that matter, since he's of questionable birth (the birth that is a great shame to Aegon's mother) so I can see Aegon and Jon just be like "hey man I love you and all, but maybe this its also painful"
It would be interesting opposed to Robb's loving relationship with Jon
Oh yeah thats basically Aegon and Jon in my fic. They both bond over the fact that Rhaegar obviously prefers Rhaenys but theres still a lot of pain there because Aegon has the total legitimacy Jon craves whereas Aegon feels like a traitor to his mother and sister for loving Jon.
I actually think its an unexplored part of canon but tbh Jons relationship with Robb did have undercurrents of resentment. Theres Jon lashing out while sparring because he remembered Robb telling him he couldnt be the lord of winterfell, theres the “gods forgive me i have always wanted it” moment where Jon dwells on the life he couldve lived as lord of winterfell if he took Stannis’ offer and married Val.
Also this is more a headcanon but i tend to think part of why Robb was so quick to marry Jeyne Westerling was because he saw how difficult it was for both the wife and the illegitimate child to live together under one roof and didnt want to do that to any possible child of his with Jeyne. I think both Robb and Jon have issues around sexuality because of 1. the society they were raised in 2. the specific situation they were both raised in

ive got half a very self indulgent au outlined where elia’s kids live and rhaenys is raised as one of oberyn’s daughters and aegon’s raised by ashara and obviously a Big Reveal ensues at an Inopportune Time and also rhaenys rides a dragon. someday i will have sufficient free time to make it more than an outline 🤞🤞
Anon, PLEASE write this fic.
I will say that I don't think they'd keep the truth from Rhaenys and Aegon forever. Rhaenys at least would be old enough to have some memories of her life before, and even if they claim she's Oberyn's daughter and she fully considers him her father in everything but blood (which he is in this scenario), I can't see him keeping this from her.
...wait I may have read that wrong anon...
But splitting them up makes sense in this scenario, even if they don't want to. Rhaenys is said to take after Elia and Oberyn is Elia's brother, while light hair and purple eyes are at least fairly common in the Daynes. It would be easier to keep them safe that way.
And yes, Rhaenys deserves to ride a dragon! Literally the only reason I haven't done that yet is because I find exploring other magic more interesting.
