Hi Mushie! <3
I saw you rb'd a post about anons sending you questions so I am sending you some questions... except Im not on anon :P
If you don't feel like answering (all of) these thats completely fine too!! These were just off the top of my head! (Btw sorry for how long this ask is, you can't put readmore's in asks sadly)
1. What would you say is your fav color/ are your top three fav colors?
2. Sunrises or sunsets?
3. Fav animals as a kid vs now?
4. Current fav song if you have one atm/ how often do you listen to music?
5. Do you like to sing?
6. What do you like most about your art? What got you into drawing?
7. Whats the best season/weather?
8. Do you like thunderstorms? Do you like snow?
9. Do you have plants? If yes, how many?
10. Did you drink enough water today? If no, drink some rn this is a threath!
Juno 💗🥺 I love long asks so no need to apologize! For whatever reason mobile also doesn’t ever let me do the “read more” thingy so, I’m used to it 😂 The questions are a welcoming distraction so thank you, I appreciate you so much 😭
1. Okay my all time favorite color is like a teal blue-green? Like if you look up “blue green crayola crayon” that’s my favorite 😂 But second and third favs would have to be probably lavender and mint green maybe? Black also tbh
2. I am literally obsessed with the sky at any time of day, but I prefer evening / nights. I love cotton candy sunsets and starry nights ✨
3. When I was little I think it went in order from giraffe to elephants to wolves to cows to sharks to orcas….I still love all of them now but I’d say cats, orcas and sharks are my top 3. I have tattoos of an orca and a cat, I’m gonna get one of a shark too! (*an extra bit of mushie lore: I have a half sleeve on my left forearm that’s just all animals so rn I have the cat and orca, a moth, and a snake! My next one is gonna be the shark for sure)
4. OOF music related questions. More ~mushie lore~, I was a music nerd. I was in band, choir, advanced choir, music theory, marching band, theatre…..etc. I also was a music major in college 😬 So you can imagine how often I’m surrounded by music. I listen to it every single day, I don’t know how people go without it. I’d say right now, I’m currently just listening to Sabrina Carpenters new album “emails I can’t send” on repeat. But from THAT album, I’d say “because I liked a boy” OR “how many things” are the two I listen to the most! All time fav song…..that is genuinely so hard to pick but maybe “I love you” by Billie Eilish bc it always hurts me in the best way
5. I do be singing literally daily 😂 I used to get leads in musicals and stuff but I also don’t think I’m very good. BUT that being said I’ve had multiple people try and make me audition for shows like the x factor lmfao so do whatever you’d like with that information
6. So at the moment I’m not really sure there’s anything I like about my art. I’m kind of in a funk where I think everything I do just isn’t really that good. Which is dumb and not true! Because I know that I’ve been proud of things I’ve made. But yeah…I’m not sure. How I got into art was actually through my dad. He would always have canvases at his house and he would always encourage me to create stuff. So when I was younger and throughout like grade school I was really good, I was in advanced art classes and groups and in art shows and all that. But I kind of got out of it for a bit and just started up again in 2020. And I’m definitely more of a painter now, although I have been mainly drawing to try and get skill back
7. best season hands down is autumn. My favorite weather is stormy and cloudy, a little chilly so I can just wear a big sweater or hoodie and feel nice and cozy
8. Oop, I kind of answered the thunderstorm question. As for snow…..not really. I think it’s beautiful to look at and I love when it’s cold outside, but I don’t like being outside in it or driving in it
9. I have HELLA plants. Except they’re all fake 😎 I have probably around 20-30 in my room, I have an issue
10. It’s 9AM but I haven’t slept in like 36 hours so I don’t know what counts as today and what doesn’t….I have coffee currently and I have water!
Juno you are a lovely human and I am so grateful to have you in my inbox 💗

Run
-Moonbin-
In honor of Ddankong sub-unit (which btw teaser pictures are ouff and it’s only the second day)
female reader
Warnings: None
Enjoy!
Tumblr media
Waking up to your friend screaming in your ear isn't necessarily what you call a good morning especially when it’s that time of the month
“If you don’t leave my room in the next 5 second Na Jaemin I will throw hands at you. On god”
“I’m just being a good friend waking you up before your classes”
“Hearing your voice cracks first thing i wake up isn't necessarily the nicest alarm now get out ” You sat up rubbing your eyes
“How did you even get here?” You rolled your eyes
“You gave me spare keys, remember?” He wiggled his eyebrows
“Most regretful thing i did” You threw him your backpack and grabbed your water bottle to fill it up
“Let’s go” You gave him a chocolate bar and wore your shoes
“Is this a thank you for waking you up?”
“No it’s for shutting you up” You smiled and started walking towards the bus stop
“Do you have dance class today?” Jaemin asked
“Yeah I think?”
“Are you questioning me over your classes?”
“I dont know ill figure out when i get there” You shrugged
“I swear to god one day you’ll end up regretting not getting your schedule” He said
“It’s not that I didn’t want to Jaem it’s that I couldn't” You glared at him
“Yeah because your beloved-”
“Shut up” You covered his mouth
You arrived at the university where surprisingly here were more students than expected which wasn’t exactly a good thing as you liked staying in the study room alone for a bit before chaos erupts
“AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAAH” You heard a high pitched laugh coming from someone you were very familiar with
“Goodmorning Y/N” He greeted you cheerfully
“Morning MJ” You smiled
“Jinjin  wanted to ask you if there’s a meeting for the student council today?” He asked
“I completely forgot about that shit” You groaned in dissatisfaction
“So i’m guessing no?”
“Yeah it’s a no for today” You told him
After the first couple of classes were over you rushed to the cafeteria
“Y/N Y/N Y/N Y/N” Jaemin came running breathless
“What now?”
“Code Blue”
“I will actually beat him up today” You furrowed your brows in anger
“How many fucking times will I tell you to not use the council room for making out Mark and Hae-” You opened the door to confetti?
“CONGRATULATIONS Y/N”
“Eh?” You asked confused
“You have officially become the head of the dance team” Haechan announced
“No way” You covered your mouth
“You’re joking right?” You asked
“No way we would joke about this” Minhyuck told you
“OH MY GOD”
“As a celebration” MJ put cream on your face
“Will you text him?” Jaemin asked once you were on your way home
“Who?”
“The guy you always text but never talk to in person because you’re a coward Y/N” Jaemin rolled his eyes
“You can just say Moonbin you know you don’t have to call me out like that” You put a hand to your heart as a motion of being hurt but then glaring at him
“I honestly do not get why you both are like this You make me cry” He wiped his fake tears
“Because we’re both awkward and plus I don’t really pay much attention to that aspect”
“Jaemin I really want to have a proper conversation with him. Jaemin what if he doesn’t like my personality that's why he's not talking to me in person?” Jaemin mocked your words from a couple of weeks back
“I told you to stop calling me out didn't I?” You raised a brow
“Coward” He stuck out his tongue
You glared at him for the nth time today
“Cowardddd” He wiggled his eyebrows and ran away
“NA JAEMIN YOU STAY IN YOUR PLACE RIGHT NOW” You started chasing him
On your way you saw Jaemin talking to someone
“Who’s the coward no-” You started but stopped once you saw the person he was talking to
“Me” You said and walked away from the scene
“Did you really just HAHAHAHAHAHAHA” Jaemin laughed at your embarrassment
“Will you shut your trap? I already want to dig myself a hole and stay there” You whined
“That was an amazing opportunity by the way”
“Shut up you probably only were there because of Jeno”
“At least I’m talking to him” He scoffed
“Good Morning” You said sluggishly
“What is up with you?” Jaemin asked
“It’s my second day” You put a hand on your stomach
“Oh will you be able to go to dance class today?”
“Yeah don’t worry I’ll be fine by then” You gave a smile
“If you need anything call me okay?”
You hummed
After class you were feeling dizzy which was normal but this time it was intense that you had to hold the railings as you went downstairs to the cafeteria
“Hey are you okay?” Jinjin came to you with someone beside him
“Yeah i’m fine just a little dizzy”
“You want to go to the nurse?”
“No no i’m fine don’t worry I just need to get to  the cafeteria”
“Moonbin take her there while i tell Jaemin” Jinjin told him
“Oh no it’s fine you don’t have t-”
“I’m okay with it” Moonbin spoke to you for the first time in the whole 5 months you were friends on the phone
“O-oh o-okay then”
“Y/N my baby are you okay?” Jaemin came over and sat beside you
“I’m not your baby you idiot” You slapped his shoulder
“What happened?” He asked
“I told you in the morning and it’s probably the lack of water in my system”
“Where’s your water bottle?”
“I forgot it at home I was rushing today” You said
“Here drink this” Moonbin handed you a brand new water bottle
“It’s fine I don’t want to-”
“Y/N” He said sternly
“Fine Thank you” You took the bottle
“Is what i’m seeing right now real?” Jaemin asked bewildered
“Jaemin I am warning you” You gave him a glare
“I am sorry”
“You really don’t have to come today Y/N” Jaemin told you
“Jaemin i’m fine now i am full, hydrated and i took medicine for my cramps so calm down i’m going we need to get the choreography down by this week” You replied putting your backpack in the locker
“Whatever” He sighed
“Oh by the way there’s a new guy in the dance team” Jaemin announced
“Who?” Jisung asked
“Moonbin” Jaemin said slowly looking at you with a smirk
“Moon-what now”
Jaemin shrugged
“Okay from the top let’s go” You clapped your hands
Once dance class was over you passed water bottles and some snacks to the team
“You all did so well I’m proud of you” You wiped your fake tears away
“Well our leader is very talented and nice she even gives us snacks” Jisung gave you a smile
“aw you’re adorable” Renjun pinched his cheeks
“Hi” Moonbin greeted as he opened the door
“Oh you’re here for the audition?” Jaemin questioned
“What audition?” You asked Jaemin confusedly
He just put a finger over his lips
“Ah yes” He nodded
“Oh my god i just remembered i have to go my mom wants me to go the salon with her” Jaemin said looking at the rest giving them hints
“But your mo-”
“Goodbye”
“Oh right I need to go feed my pet duck” Jisung got up
“So uh do I show you my dance or no?” He asked
“Yea-ah sure g-go ahead”
To say you were mesmerised was an understatement
His moves were so smooth yet so detailed with no mistakes
“You’re in” You told him after he was done
“Really?”
“Yeah”
“But since we’re halfway through the choreography already you'll have to stay back for a couple of days to get it down before the performance” You said passing him a water bottle and a chocolate bar
He nodded
“I’ll talk to Jaemin or Minhyuck to help yo-”
“Can you help me?” He asked quickly
“M-me?”
“Yes I think you’ll be the best to work with” He rubbed his neck
“O-okay I guess” You told him
“Goodwork today” You smiled at him before leaving
The next couple of days consisted of you teaching Moonbin the dance which was easier than expected since he was an amazing dancer
You two got pretty close and your texts got more frequent as you talked more in person
Your feelings were also getting bigger by every conversation you have
“Y/N?” Jaemin waved his hand in front of your face
“Hm?”
“What is wrong with you? You keep spacing out” He said as he ate his ice cream
“Jaem I think I really like someone”
“Yeah I know you’ve been liking him since the third month of you texting him I’m surprised you even got to the point of talking to him”
“Oh my god shut up”
“Honestly if it wasn’t for my amazing skills Moonbin wouldn’t be in the dance te- fuck”
“You talked him into it didn’t you?” You sighed closing your eyes
“I- No wait listen Y/N” He got up and ran
“YOU JUST WAIT NA JAEMIN” You started running but you were blocked by someone
“What’s up with you running after him?” Moonbin laughed
“He’s a little sly bitch He won’t get out of this one” You blowed the hair strand out of your face
“What did he do this time?”
“He talked-”
Moonbin looked at you as a sign to continue
“Nevermind he did nothing ha ha ha” You laughed fakely
Moonbin felt a bit upset over the fact that you might not trust him enough but he pushed it away
“Y/N-” He started
“Oh would you look at that I gotta go to class” You told him smiling as you walked
“When will she stop running away?” He sighed
“I am afraid to tell you that it’ll take a bit” Jaemin came from behind him
“How the fuck?”
“Y/N You really need to grow some balls and try to flirt with the poor boy”
“He doesn’t like me, why would I? We’re friends right now I don’t want to mess it up”
“ For the millionth time You don’t know whether he does or not” He rolled his eyes
“Nana” You said with worry in your tone
“What?” He looked at you
“I got an email”
“Elaborate idiot” He told you
“Mr.Park wants us to have a couple dance along with our group dance” You said whining
“What? Why all of a sudden?”
“I have no idea the performance is three weeks away this is on short notice” You rubbed the sides of your forehead trying to calm down
“It’s okay for now we need to figure out who’s gonna do it” Jaemin said trying to calm you down
“Wait-” He got an idea
That’s how you ended up in the practice room with Moonbin alone.
Your groupmates or actually your best friend had something up his sleeves and he made everyone vote for you two for the couple dance
“Na Jaemin I swear to god”
“Anything wrong?” Moonbin came from behind you
“Not at all i’m just a bit stressed because this came on such short notice” You sighed
“I know that we’ll be able to do it. How about we dance a bit before we start to get you in the mood hm?”
“I would love that” You smiled
Several days of creating and practicing with your group and with Moonbin you were finally done with both choreographies, what’s left is practicing the full dances and the performance was only a week away
You were going to the practice room to just dance everything away
As you were starting your dance the door opened to Moonbin
“Oh you’re here? Sorry i’ll-”
“No it’s okay we can practice together” You told him
“Why are you still here though?” You asked confused
“I had to stay late because it was my turn to clean and it started pouring outside so I thought i would practice for a bit until it stopped raining” He explained
“Oh it’s raining?”
“Yeah”
You two ended up practicing your song, the groups song, and some random dances you both knew
“I always wondered how you were so good at dancing” You asked Moonbin while you were taking a break
“Oh i took ballet classes when i was younger and dancing has just stuck with me since then. How about you? I mean you’re in the student council and you’re pretty busy” He smiled
“I liked dancing ever since I was in middle school I taught myself how to dance by learning random choreographies here and there I guess it just became a stress reliever, something that brings my mood up when i’m upset or stressed because of studying or student council”
“Oh wow”
You continued your practice but as you were dancing to the couple dance you were nervous and  blushing everywhere
The part where he grabs your waist to spin you around gets you everytime
Your heart was basically out of your chest at this point
Even his, He was probably a bigger mess than you
Scared of you hearing his heartbeat when he pulls you close for the dance or seeing his red cheeks when you turn towards him
“O-okay I think that-t’s eno-ough for today” You stuttered
“You’re telling me you were stuck with him in the practice room for hours and you didn’t make ONE MOVE” Jaemin scolded you
“Listen I couldn’t”
“You couldn’t my ass”
“Jaemin I am genuinely too shy and too scared”
“Scared of what?”
“Rejection”
“Y/N this is literally your one chance. If you get rejected then what? Will you really waste your chance of a potential amazing relationship because you're scared?”
“I don’t know” You sighed
But you did know that Jaemin was right
You couldn’t be normal towards him. Jaemin’s words stayed with you but you couldn’t do or say anything
“Y/N?” Moonbin came into the practice room
“Yes?”
“Is everything okay?” He asked you
“Yes”
“You sure?”
“Yes”
“Did I do anything wrong?”
“No”
“Then why are you ignoring me?”
“I am so not ignoring you”
“I greeted you twice but you walked past me and you haven’t been replying to my texts” He said upset
“I’m sorry I didn’t see you”
“Yes you did”
You looked at him apologetically
“Will you tell me what’s up and stop running away? Please?” He pleaded
“I am not running away”
“Yes you are ever since we started talking in person you’ve been running away” He told you
“Sorry”
“I don’t want you to apologise I want you to tell me what’s wrong”
You stayed quite
“Y/N”
“I Like you” You stated
“Eh?”
“I like you Moonbin that’s what’s wrong” You said
“Why is that making you run away from me?” He asked
“Why do you think?”
“Y/N look at me” He held your face in his hands
“I like you too”
“What”
“I like you too.”
“Oh”
“That’s your reaction? Oh?” He mocked you
“Shut up it’s the first time someone likes me back”
“Really? Who wouldn’t like your beautiful
, amazing self?” He smiled
“Cheesy”
“You love it already” He teased
“True”
He pulled you into his arms into an embrace
“Fucking finally” Jaemin let out a breath of relief when you told him
“I thought you guys would never get together”
“Thank you Jaem”
“I knew this day would come” He patted himself on the shoulder
“Nevermind. No thank you Jaem” You glared at him
“We’ve practiced for a long while, I know you guys are gonna do so well with your skills. I’m so proud of you” You told them bringing your group mates into a hug
“You also did well Y/N” Jaemin came to hug you
The group performance went well however what you were nervous for was the couple dance as it’s the first time you do this type of dance
(If you listen to roleplay the middle part where it’s just music is what they’ll be dancing to basically)
“Y/N” Moonbin called you
“Yes?”
“ I know you’re nervous right now but trust me we’re gonna do well okay?” He put his arms on your waist bringing you closer
You just nodded smiling at him
“I’m proud of you love” He told you kissing your forehead
“Thank you. I’m proud of you as well you worked very hard in a short amount of time”
“Moonbin and Y/N you’re up” Jeno came to tell you
“We can do this” He held your hand
“Wait Bin” He looked back at you
You pressed your lips against his
“A Goodluck charm” You smiled
“I’ll ask for one everytime I have something important” He told you
“You can get one anytime”
He came forward and kissed you again
“Less flirting more performing” Jaemin told you
“I TOLD YOU TO STOP CALLING ME OUT NA JAEMIN”
“You’re so cute” He laughed
Moonbin gave you one last kiss on your forehead and short hug before you two made it on stage

Hey don't know if you're still active but I'd like to request just some dumbass acting reader, like just getting into danger and not seeming that stressed maybe cause someone saves them or that they just know what they're doing
Sure thing- not had very much time to write but always happy for a request. (Hope you’re British btw because I’ve set this in London but it’s not to important to the story just a nod here and there.) @freerebel
Today was a totally normal, completely average, definitely not insane day. Let’s do a checklist: woke up, had breakfast (last night’s take away), gotten into a super cute outfit (if I do say so myself, and walked to the Underground. Pretty inane so far, wouldn’t you agree? Then I hopped on the tram, didn’t find a seat, but what did you expect in rush hour. Mind you it’s always rush hour in London, even on Saturday. Especially on Saturday. So back to the point- hopped of the tram at Trafalgar Square, and dashed through the swathes of people to get there on time. Where’s there? There is the PQA X ‘action’ auditions studio. I say ‘action’ because this audition was for something big, like NDA big. Who my agent did the naughty with to get me a place here was beyond me, but I’m not one to complain when fate hits me in the face with one great big whopping opportunity to make it big. While I have been in various pieces from theatre to adverts- I wanted to be on the big screen.
As I pushed into the building where the studio was supposed housed was where things went a little bit pear shaped- but not completely weird. A small reception with only two people waiting, who promptly moved on. “Here for the auditions are you dear?”, as I started nodding, not trusting myself to speak quite yet in the stylish and probably very expensive lobby, I walked forward, hopefully looking braver than I felt then, she continued, “So, what’s your name, dear?”. I quickly replied that my name was y/n, and after a moment of scanning a sheet filled with sticky labels she peeled on off and ushered me into the adjoined room to wait.
The next room, while quieter than the reception, with it’s buzzing and noises that filtered in from the high street just outside, was also louder. People didn’t speak, but there was a palpable atmosphere of fear and excitement. And everyone was reading. Reading a script. The same script. A script that I didn’t have... Welp, there goes all of your chances at anything. Big mysterious auditions with a big film company for an action film and for some reason, be it lost emails, miscommunication or otherwise, I didn’t have the audition script. In fact, I was readying to walk out the door and leave to save myself from embarrassment when the door at the end of the corridor opened and a suave man with a clipboard called my name. Damn, curse just getting here on time for my slot, I guess. Or that’s what I thought at the time.
So, nothing about my day is too crazy yet. A bit hectic, yes. Dysfunctional, yes. But crazy? No. I certainly thought I was going insane at this point though when, after walking into the centre of the room, opposite a panel of five people (who all looked to be both bored out of their minds), the guy sat right in the very middle called out, “y/n is it? Wow, I’m quite impressed first person to walk in without a script. You know what at this point you may as well just go on through.” As I turned to leave, stalking off with my head held high- I could try salvage your pride at least- I was an actor after all, he called back out again, “wrong door, mate”. A little confused, I thanked him and turned to the other door, then down the corridor and to the marked exit door. It must be so that people couldn’t tell others what happened. With a gantle push the door creaked open and I was free again, into the streets of London, looking the same but also strangely unfamiliar. But at least with that out of the way I could enjoy my Saturday, I didn’t need to worry or be on edge waiting for that phone call of whether I’d got the job of a life time or not. It was actually quite relieving.
And this is where my day got hectic. I hadn’t even noticed the two guys coming up behind me before I was roughly shoved into the alleyway that I’d just come up to. Not many dead-end alleys that were this dark or grim in London, just my luck. I could almost feel the adrenaline pumping as I went to scream, but was met with a gloved hand wrapped around my mouth. Before the panic really set in and I lashed out I remember one really distinct thought- wow these guys went all out on the ‘bad guy mugger’ look, didn’t they, bit cliché with the dragging into an alley too? But, as I said, the panic set in and in a flash I had kicked the man in holding me in the balls, and the guy who was leering behind him received a sharp punch to the jaw. Oddly enough they both really looked to feel it, I hadn’t thought I was that good of a fighter, but I guess you never know until you try. Not that I was going to push my luck though. I swiped up my small shoulder bag (which was unfortunately sullied by god knows what on the grimey floor) while shouting out for help. While my first priority was to get the hell out of there- I also wanted to make those fuckers pay, that bag was cute, god damn it! As I moved to sprint out of the alley and back onto the street where I was safer, one of the guys, who were both getting up, yanked on my ankle. Hard. Hard, hard. I slipped down, twisting my ankle and hitting my jaw hard on the floor. While this did attract a few bystanders who looked to be very concerned and raced over, it also hurt- a lot. It was great to have someone finally notice, by I’m also not a damsel in distress. Kicking out by foot and flipping over, I finally got a good look at my attackers faces, and both looked shocked and concerned. Oh what, now they can have morals? Although I probably looked angry and pretty concerned too. Sweat was probably already sticking to my face, mating my hair to my head, blood on my jaw and a hard set scowl. It could have been a scene in an action movie if anyone were recording, heh. May as well act like it- definitely proves you’re good at your job if you can ignore your agonising and rapidly swelling ankle to deliver a witty one liner, “Well I would have thought that it’d take longer to get two men on their knees for me.” With a quick wink at the men who gave each other a strange look, I pushed back up swiftly. Probably curtesy of the adrenaline still very pleasant. Could feel my blood pumping but not the pain from the graze to my jaw or throbbing ankle.
And then the bystanders arrived and I really couldn’t be more confused. Two well dressed people, who guy and one woman were smiling and congratulating me. Robert Downey Jn came up impressed and a little concerned. Three medics went to work opening up first aid kits and talking between the about my injuries. But what confused me even more was when the two muggers came up and clapped me on the back and apologised for yanking so hard. They asked if I was ok and I numbly nodded at them and they jogged off to a...makeup artist? Wait what? I then snapped my head back round to see an older guy in flannel with white hair. Stan Lee?!? “Congrats kid, best audition yet, no script, no nerves and the best real life acting I’ve seen in years. So guess what kid? You’re an avenger now.”
And as they say, the rest was history. Craziest day of my life so far at least. The entire street was a scene and I’d passed the audition with flying colours. Apparently my bravado at improvised acting and complete nonchalant attitude was a major plus and that I was gonna go far. I was quickly patched up and sent home (after signing stacks of paperwork in a daze). I’d be hearing from them soon. My agent had rung me screaming that I’d done it! I’d done it! I was a Marvel actor now! And me? I just couldn’t believe it.
So yeah, totally normal, completely average day. Wonder what tomorrow will be like
Wow ok that was longer than I anticipated. Hope you enjoyed it anyhow (even though I took a few liberties from the original request).

I want to build information databases. Let me clarify. I know nothing about coding (though I'm a relatively intelligent person and I could learn). What I'm good at, what I excel at, is organizing information. Back in the old days when Forum RP was a major fandom hub, I used to do this for forums - collect and organize their setting, character, rule, and calendar data into a clean, appealing, intuitive, and fully searchable format.
Now that I work for a major insurance company, their information organization DRIVES ME FUCKING CRAZY. This is a fortune 500 company whose agents are forced to consult FIVE DIFFERENT RESOURCES for support doing their jobs. And by 'resources' I don't mean 'Here's a page for vehicles and here's a page for drivers'. I mean 'here's a huge website meant to include ALL our policies on ALL subjects in ALL states, except the resource is outdated and rarely updated, so here's one that we update more frequently, except this one is mostly for phone service and Internet service has different handling so here's one for internet, but half the shit on that is incorrect and disorganized, so your team also has a OneNote where someone who definitely did not get paid to do it went through and posted every erroneous bit of information with corrections, and here's a resource full of templates so you don't have to write your email responses from scratch when you get the exact same question 5,000 times but the templates aren't updated either and a bunch of them contain wrong information, so we'll put some of those templates in the Internet Resource and you'll rewrite some of them in the One Note. Now we're going to hop on the telematics train and we're going to create the worst possible 'resource' site for using those telematics which involves having to actually watch 5-minute videos all the way through to get any information and btw you're graded on efficiency LOL" I once got a bad audit because, after searching multiple pages and word-searching multiple resources for an answer, I missed the fact that the information I was looking for was contained in an entirely different section, in ONE FOOTNOTE with none of the keywords I was searching.
Instead of updating or improving existing resources, whenever some new process or new UI comes out, their solution is to make a NEW resource like we're playing "How Many lesbian Flags Can We Create" but with insurance. And I have begged. Begged. To be allowed to just fucking fix this.
It would take so many hours. It would take so much work. It would be long, tedious, and involve a lot of clear, technical writing and editing to ensure that language was consistent and new links are all correct and the organization is consistent from page to page. And I am chomping at the fucking bit to do it, because that is my JAM. It's not glamorous. It's not that terribly important. It's not even FUN. But it's the kind of work I love to do, and wish I had been taught skill sets for (like database coding, for instance).
“And remember: the sky is the limit! You can be anything you want to be!”
“Thank you. I want to be a secretary.”
That stopped them short. “What?”
“A secretary,” she repeated.
“But…” they trailed off, dumbfounded. “Why? You could be a CEO, a scientist, a law–”
“I don’t want to be a CEO,” she said. “I want to be a secretary.”

Warning: One Direction
For this week, I wanted to focus my attention on One Direction. I was going through all of my stuff from 2011-13 and realized that I used to adore them. You could even have called me a fan, a part of  “... audiences are deeply engaged in their favorite media texts. (Good, 2019)  Everyone has a different meaning of what it means to be a fan, but for me, it means I am someone who gets deeply engaged with my favourite person. I was so involved with the band that I wanted to be a part of it.
Tumblr media
Ok, so I am going to post an embarrassing fact about me on here, but I am doing it for my fans and followers. This is how much I trust you guys. Here goes nothing, when I was 14, I wrote fanfiction, ‘ stories written by fans about their favourite media texts,”( Sullivan,2013,p204) about One Direction on Wattpad. There, I said it. You’re not a real fan until you write fanfiction about the boyband on Wattpad. https://www.wattpad.com/story/29818792-hide-and-go-seek (Megan I cried when I reread this btw. Please don’t judge me) I am also a severe type of fan, as I now see myself as an enthusiastic fan. I am someone who will talk, but I will not do anything about it. I will not write fanfiction, or make songs about them; I am no longer a big and committed fan. It’s funny how these things change over time. I used to write fanfiction (just the one book) about One Direction, but it seemed to have been nothing more than a phase. Now, even though I am still a fan of the boys, there is no chance that I will write fanfiction about them. I am no longer as involved in the fandom as I used to be. Yet, this does not make me any less of a fan than when I was fully involved.
Tumblr media
I got so into the cultural taste of the band, and the fandom, that I started acting like them. I remember having a ridiculous British accent there was, followed by some Irish, and wearing nothing but stripes and letterman jackets because of Louis and Zayn. I was a part of their fandom, a part of their culture, a part of who they were. I can't say I am not guilty of joining so many One Direction group chats on Facebook, but I am. I was in this fandom filled with Directioners who also shared the same cultural tastes as the band and I. I made so many friends, and we would all talk about the things they said, the way they spoke, what they wore, how their latest interviews are perceived to be. Please don't ask me why I thought it was safe to be posting my Snapchat on these fandom sites for strangers to add me, and why I thought it was a good idea to be posting so much personal information about being a Directioner. When you're a part of a fandom, when you share these inside jokes and cultural knowledge about the people, you feel as though you can trust everyone within the fandom. It creates a sense of belongingness. Being a part of a fandom feels like having a family of your own, and having strangers ask you how your day was. Being a part of a fandom is all about sharing these shared values. SPOILER ALERT. It got way too sappy with all of the flashbacks to One Direction, so let's move the focus towards something else. I WATCHED THE JOKER! I am still in awe about the movie, and cannot stop thinking about it. I noticed the film featured a strong sense of moral alignment, which is something that explains how these villains are turned into protagonists. The story opens up with a man (Arthur) who is seen receiving treatment for his mental illnesses, before transitioning into what his daily life is all about. The audience feels sorry for this man; after all, he seems to live a sad life where his laughter brings people misery. Later on in the movie, the Joker takes a shot at changing his life (get it), and that is when things start to change for him. The film portrays the character development as we see Arthur transition from a timid and closed off man, to someone who starts to claim his title as the Joker, a man who is here to start a democracy and make things right in his world. I was told from a young age that the Joker was a villain, someone that did no good in the world, and DC did an excellent job of portraying it. After watching the movie, though, you could see the Joker is the way that he is because of his mental disorders, but it also shows him trying to make a change within society. Within his narrative, Arthur went from a man who ended lives, to a man who started a revolution. He was the protagonist of his storyline, not the villain.
Tumblr media
I can't believe I am writing this blog as I am watching an old-time favourite, Wizards on deck with Hannah Montanna. It is a crossover of some of my favourite childhood shows, Wizards of Waverly Place, Suite Life On Deck, and Hannah Montanna. These crossovers are the highlights of my days, seeing some of my favourite shows merge into one. When I was a kid, I had a massive crush on Cody (Zack and Cody), always pretended to have two lives like Hannah (Hannah Montanna), and I wanted to be just like Alex (Wizards of Waverly Place). These crossovers create a blurring of boundaries that allow us to view our favourite characters in an alternate universe where they all co-exist with one another.
Just thinking of the possibility of working as an actress has always been a dream of mine. It would be amazing working on Wizards of Waverly Place, Suite Life on Deck, Hannah Montanna, as even as an extra would be a dream come true. We need another Veronica Mars Kickstarter campaign. “the work of production now places vastly greater emphasis on ongoing interaction and involvement with the fan audience through venues ... the constant feedback loop of social media.” (Navar-Gill,p. 212)
It invites fans to receive an experience to be a part of the campaign, in return for their patronage. They would take some of the fans and cast them as extras in the Veronica Mars Movie, speak to her, email her, and even used their fan art, and in return, the artists got credit for their work. No matter what type of fan you were, affirmational or transformational, you would gain a particular type of access associated with Veronica. It would be amazing to have even been able to attend a premier to the movie of a celebrity that I am a fan of and be able to be included within the participatory culture. I am going to end off this week's blogs with a video of me auditioning to be Disney's new star until next week.

"Some Day It Always Does"… (The start of an Actor's Blog)
The agents are back in their offices on Monday. How is this year going to be different from any other year? A few days will pass…you’ll get submitted for a few parts…the auditions will start to roll in…you’ll go to a few castings… you won’t hear anything about most of them…ho hum… I guess I’ll just keep rolling along. What?! NO! Do you know how lucky you are to even get that audition?! This is a huge opportunity! This doesn’t happen to everyone and YOU get to do this!
So how is it going to be different this time? A good story is made when the writer shows us that this day or this year is going to be far different than any other. When the routine of what’s expected gets thrown for a loop. If you’re the writer, the director, and the actor of your own story how is this Monday going to stand out?
Now let’s go back about 40 years. Legend has it that Madonna takes a cab from LaGuardia with $35 in her pocket and says “Take me to the center of everything!” Now that’s the first line of a great story! We’re already hooked and we have to find out what’s next. Ok we know what happened to her but now let’s take yourself back to the first day you arrived in New York City. What made it “shiny and new” for you (to borrow a familiar line)? When were you an NYC virgin? You got off the bus or the plane and…What happened next? Was it a great story or was it just what everyone expected? How did you get to this point? What went right? When were/are you the happiest? When was it exciting? How can we harness that successful feeling again?
I started acting before the digital age just as the internet was dawning. I came to the city armed with my MFA from University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music - CCM, one of the best theatre schools in the country, Right? or so I thought or at least I was cocky enough to think that was all I needed. These were the days when the big corporate agencies only represented stars, and if you were a working actor or just a struggling one your agent probably worked out of a dusty old walk-up office somewhere in the theatre district. They were usually older gals with names like Lucille or Claudia. They’d have a couple rotary phones on their desk and they’d use their long nails to flip through rolodexes and open filing cabinets. The only time you would ever hear from them was if they called you. I would check my answering service like 20 times a day to see if any new opportunities came in. It was so exciting when my voice would pick up immediately before a ring. That meant there was a new message!!! One time it was this dirty old man I had been freelancing with. He left me a message saying he didn’t have any auditions for me and probably wouldn’t for the foreseeable future, but if I wanted I could come by and he would watch me clean his office. Nice. My face dropped.
So obviously I didn’t have an agent for very long. I had a few managers though, nothing too notable, but I did have one called Down Right Talented Management. He liked to be called D.R.T. for short. D.R.T. represented African American rap artists of which I was neither, so in other words I had to submit myself for everything I wanted to do. I used to run down to the news stand after midnight to grab my copy of the Backstage newspaper when it was still tied up in a large bundle on the sidewalk. I’d stay up all night licking envelopes, stapling headshots to resumes so they would all be sent out before the mailman collected them the next morning. I’d buy huge packs of preprinted labels with agents and casting director addresses on them from Drama Book Shop. OMG I wasted so much postage and not to mention paper, since I’m sure most of these envelopes were never even opened. An office assistant at a big agency assured me once that they did actually open every single actor submission…in order to separate the cover letters and resumes from the headshots for the recycling bin.
All this sounds like a shit show, and it wasn’t all hard knocks. It was a nostalgic time. I would never go back but I look at it fondly now. Without the lean times I wouldn’t be where I am. “I’m my kids manager,” and they are totally D.R.T.! More D.R.T. than I ever was and they’re only 10. CCM taught me to act and I “have been” and “can often be” brilliant when I do, but in the old days I didn’t have many opportunities to show how great of an actor I could be. CCM didn’t teach me to audition or really anything about the business of acting. They did teach me to access my real emotions in order to apply it to a character… and (as I’ve said) I’m absolutely amazing at it!!!
When I got off the plane back in 19-blah blah blah…I knew nothing about the business that I was about to start. I had to create opportunities for myself and I wasn’t always motivated or disciplined enough to figure out how to do that. I eventually learned and now I’m making sure my children understand the full scope of the business they’re in. I used to wonder “what was it all for?” now I finally get it and can apply it to the their business and mine. I can help my kids find the opportunities then know how to access their real emotions in order to get the role (or at least have a good audition) and then understand how to be a productive part of a professional setting. Imparting on them what I have learned is so thrilling…to be prepared for success, being accountable, and then rewarding yourself for the little achievements. Not that they always listen. I am just their parent after all. One time when our twins were about 4 years old we went to a casting with them because the commercial wanted the kids to have same-sex parents. My son was so embarrassed. “You are NOT an ACTRESS!! You are a Daddy!!!” He never realized until this moment that the whole reason he is in this business is because we are in this business too. So at 4 they quickly realized that some audition fairy doesn’t just wake you up and sprinkle you with acting opportunities. It’s this “Fairy” right here, and my name is “Daddy Chad!”
That’s what can make this Monday different from any other! Just getting the opportunity is an achievement in itself and should never be discounted. Out of all the actors in this city the casting director wants to meet you! That’s amazing! When I see actors being so “Ho Hum” about another audition (EMAILED to them personally from their agent BTW) I just want to shake them awake! Don't worry I don’t shake my children.
My father-in-law is retiring this year and over the holidays we were trying to help him figure out “what’s next?” What does he like to do…where is he happiest? So I asked myself the same question “When am I the happiest?” Instantly the answer came to me: “When I’m on a set with my kids.” The world could be blowing up around me and I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. Incidentally guess where I was on 911? I was shooting a commercial, which actually never finished filming, but even on the worst day in American history I knew I was right where I was supposed to be. Especially since I often had a recurring temp job which would place me in the twin towers. I should have known back then THIS WAS A SIGN!!! But of course being the dummy that I was I kept on temping and doing the support jobs until I was totally distracted enough so that the support jobs became real jobs and I totally forgot the whole reason why I moved to New York in the first place!
I’m a dumbass, but there’s good to find in that version of the story too. If I had kept on doing extra work and thankless Shakespeare productions that no one ever saw (don’t worry I never went to your shows either) I’d probably still only have $35 in my pocket saying “take me to the center of everything!” If I hadn’t done those real jobs I may never be financially stable, debt free, or married with children! These aren’t little achievements these are huge and all that really matters. But for some odd reason…when I realize these accomplishments weren’t the result of becoming a famous pop diva, or winning The Academy Award, I sometimes forget to count them as successes. I’m trying not to focus on the things I’ve done wrong, but that is shameful of me.
So how do I get more of that…Not armageddon or millions of records sold, but just more life on a film set? So I can post #setlife on Instagram, because if it’s not on Instagram it never really happened right? How can I make sure that I don’t forget the art this time around? How can we approach it differently and not focus on our failures but embrace the good parts of the story? For 2019 in order to access my happy place I’m going to immerse myself further into this business and keep on writing, reading, and learning. An old friend posted on Facebook that she was going to start acting again. She said it’s time to blow some air through this old horn and see what happens. That’s all we can really do I guess and hope that the prep eventually meets the opportunity.
Some day it always does…

Experty: Help sharing expertise on a global scale.
A Consulting Software Platform or application that you can use to pay for your time and consulting hours in minutes
Problem:::
Countless man hours are spent waiting for responses and follow ups and inquiries on solutions to a specific problem.
Solution:::
Being able to monetize the consultants by meeting those clients and answering those questions. Problem:: Charge and Cost Confusion:: Users may pay up front for consultation but the issue is their exact amount of time required on the phone call is unknown. The duration of the conversation is not set. Trust:: We can also basically work a trust payment processing system. where you can pay after you consult but what this does it requires trust on the knowledge seekers and that he is actually going to pay for the phone call or for the consultation that he completed. Payment Friction:: Third Party services can be used to facilitate the previous two options but are regulated and charge fee.
White Paper::(Market Definition):::
Huge market outlook for the Consulting Industry Market --$125Billion Digital Consulting Industry market ----$23 Billion Biggest Markets ---USA, Germany, UK. Biggest Consultations Sectors: Technology, Strategy, Human Resources.
Market Outlook:::
USA-------(Biggest)--------$55 Billion Uk------$49.4 Billion Germany----$8.3 Billion Australia-----$4.9 Billion France----$4.6Billion Nordics-----$2.7 Billion CCC------$2.7 Billion Benelux-----$2.1 Billion Spain -------$1.4 Billion Italy------$1.3 Billion Eat.Eurpe-----$1.2 Billion Russia----$0.5 Billion
Road Map:::
1:: They were an existing company with react Poland they are lot of members from React Poland they founded React Poland back in 2014 which is a software consulting company they launched their first small crypto project called Satoshi Pei in 2015((initial solidity smart contracts and web3 internal projects)) and in 2016 thay really investigated the block chain and started researching and analyzing the use cases that block chain can provide them 2:: Q1 2017------------Project sort of came was basically developed a Q2 2017 -----------Started the development on experty. Q3 2017-----------They received investment funds from seed investors around $700 000 Q4 2017-----------They actually launched Alpha project or the Alpha product.+planned token generation Event. 3:: Q1 2018---- They will be launching the Contacts management and Ethereum Q2 2018----The Security Audit market App release and available for every one. 4::: Q3 2018-----The desktop or the website desktop version will be out for the users to use. Q4 2018-----They start to advance and add some additional payment processing rules and really add some new features to it. 5::: Q1 2019----- They will be able to take the user feedback and expand the idea product and hopefully take it mainstream.
User Flow:::
Step 1: Knowledge provider ------Lets use me as a knowledge provider so I do consulting, I charge an hourly rate, lets just say 100$ an hour what I can do is I can set my hourly or min rateso if you break that intlo mins it will come down to like $1 for min or 60 $ an hour . Step 2: The knowledge provider shares his profile with other consultation networks and advice seekers can then come to me . Step3: A Advice seeker jut like you can call me up on the phone via the app the Expert EAP and is charged a minutely rate and view you know its leveraged all via the block chain which is ran off the ethereum protocol. Its simple that you are basically charged off your own wallet balance and I’m insured that you have that because if you don’t have it funded and you know you wont be able to call me though will bw you know a balance if you don’t have a certain balance if you drop below the call would essentially drop noe the potential use cases as you could image are humongous there are consultants in every industry medical lawyers ,business advises ,I’m the consultant he’s a consultant and every body can be a consultany and we get piad and start to monetize you know our time and resources and even professors ,webcam chats, models, charity donation actions and many more and the use cases are essentially limtless you can come up with anything that warrants, taking time to provide answers for and get paid for it.
Experty set to launch on:::
They are set to launch two platforms, they have mobile application would light ready it’s a beta right now.In a couple of months later they are going to launching a web app so you will be able to use both of them on the platforms.
What does the Block Chain provide the Experty:::
o Payment Settlement:; smart contracts as you know can escrow payments so it provides a safe home and ecosystem for the consultants and knowledge seekers calls are basically made and only avialble when the knowledge seeker has funds in his wallet. o legal simplification ::::so peer to peer transactions are possible on the block chain and this will really remove the need s of the third parties as we don’t want to loose the fees so I set more example the schedule one on one appointments no longer will I need to use set more if I were to use the exxperty ,I also don’t need to trust third parties with my money and rely on them as holding my money and I can work on peer to to peer and take my money. o Instant Payments : Cryptocurrency is Fast. Payments need not to be delayed by serval days or weeks.we can truncate that to just minutes by using the block chain so using the block chain we wil get o Instant Accesss o Instant Answers o Instant payment. o All in a jiffy and using the block chain of course we always have the transparency and the open source platforms that block chian are ran off of and everything seen like he said and she said, you know if you call me everthing will be in block chian and you know exactly how many minutes sent doing so. o Easy –to-use. They make it extremely easy to use the expert a platform you can launch links inside the platforms like, Facebook, Email, twitter, you can even launch or set or send QR codes where people can scan your QR and can be directly to your profile and bascillay get you know right on a call in minutes they make it really easy and I think that’s really key because block chain can be realyy fuzzy for lot of people so what they can do is via these you know great features they can make it relaly simple and you don’t want to think that you know are using the block chian.
Partnerships:::
This is huge and you don’t see this every day with every ICO ,,MME , Quant stamp, bitcoin swiss they have partnerships established already and are actually allocating money from their ICO to partner with existing companies.
Example:::
Quant Stamp is a smart contract auditor who audit smart contracts and partnerships are the fastest way to grow. Lets face it to have your name associated with the MCDonalds than it is to start your own burger king or wendy’s if you can partner in leverage existing companies resources and tools you can grow really faster, so its great to see that they are partners with the existing companies
Working Product:::
They also have the working product ,they have an application they have a phone a call in btw two phone call or phones where they can seed money in ethereum from one person to another, infct you can see the call length of 17 sec and the money is send right here at charges in point 0009 etherum ,it will seend you right ffrom one phone to another, its is thought beta and link is below so that you can view it .
Token Economics:::
· Experty abbreviated their token as EXY: · EXY Will be used for all payments from advices seekers to knowledge seekers. · EXY will be used by users for access o premium features. ;; Premium features include ;Scheduling,Piad Group Calls, Conversation Recording. · EXY can be use by advice seekers as a deposit for advance scheduling. 2017 SM Global audition experience + Tips
Tumblr media
Hi everyone!
Three days ago, I went to the 2017 SM Global auditions in Toronto, Canada and I wanted to post about my experience before I forget anything. Just in case some people may need proof of my audition, I’ll post my audition sticker here.
I wanted to share my experience with everyone because before I auditioned, I was extremely nervous and worried about what this might be like. I read countless experience stories but some of them were at least a few years old, and a few (no offence to them) did not seem legit. And even if they were really well written, I found almost no experiences from Canada, so here I am.
This is going to be a really (x100) long post so grab something to eat and sit tight LOL.
First off, I’ll start off with some background info. about myself and the audition itself. I’m 19, a Korean-born Canadian, and this was my first live audition EVER. (I actually sent an email audition to SM a year back, but we’ll talk about that later). I sent my email for SM around two weeks (?) back before the actual audition date (April 27) and got my confirmation email a few days later. It gave me the time and place of the audition, while emphasizing multiple times to be on time. My audition was at 2pm, in the Holiday Inn in downtown Toronto. Honestly, I was kind of late and arrived 5 minutes before 2 but that did not really matter because I had to wait for more than two hours for my audition LOL. And when I went there there was a pretty long line up for the audition sticker + my form, and I was not the last one to line up (there was probably two dozens of people that came after me). I was kind of surprised they did not need any ID or proof that I received the email confirming my audition, but I guessed that with the amount of people that auditioned that day, that would take too long. My guess is that they’ll just let anyone audition in a first come first serve basis, regardless if you signed up online or not.
Anyway, after I got my audition form and sticker, I was told to fill it out and then wait in the waiting room until my number was called. When I went in, they were at least 100 away from my number (so like 15689) so I knew I’d have a long wait. Nevertheless, I went in there and filled out basic information such as my gender, age, name, school year, what I auditioned for, my email address (except yahoo), and our height and weight. For this reason (and many others I will mention later) I would recommend losing at least a little bit of weight for your audition. I unfortunately lost only 1kg (OTL) so I didn’t get any points there for sure.
Anyways, as I was waiting I realized how I wasn’t really warmed up so I went outside the room and out of the building to practice singing. Btw, on the other side of the sheet we had to sign a waiver that said SM is allowed to upload our audition to their social media and that we aren’t allowed to go to any other place in the Holiday Inn, but thankfully I didn’t get into trouble because I was basically outside the building.
By the time I was finished practicing it was around 3, so went back in (just in case) and waited until my turn. (I think it was around 3:30). They call up two groups of 10 people and have you line up in a single line and wait until we are called to the audition rooms. As far as I know, there were two different audition rooms, and people are taken every 10-20 minutes. (From this you can kind of guess just how many people auditioned lol). Unfortunately for the other audition room they had to stand and wait while my group was able to sit down. Anyways, we were guided by a person to the audition room, where a person was there to explain what we should do (depending on what we were auditioning for) and things to remember.  For singers, we were told to only sing the highlight of the song because we could get cut off while for dancers they were told to dance behind the line. For models, it was kind of complicated (she admitted it herself) they had to walk up multiple times (like 3 or 4) and do three poses each time or something. And I was unable to see this because model auditions were done after singing. If you want to audition as a composer, you will be asked to give a usb with your composition, introduce yourself, and answer a few question(s). The ones they asked were: “When did you start composing”. I’m able to answer this because the group before us were still dong auditions when we walked in. Unfortunately, I’m unable to answer questions about VJ / acting / CF models because the person did not give instructions on how to do this because there was nobody auditioning for acting, VJ and CF models.
Now back to the story: when we walked in, the group before us went up first, and the singers were asked to step forward and do their audition first while the dance auditions occurred after them. The judges (1 woman and 1 man doing the camera) asked us if there were any dancers in our group, and they did them together with the first group. While the dance auditions occurred, the remainder of our group had to wait while sitting in chairs at the side of the room. Something to mention here is that they spoke to us mostly in KOREAN. The few times they (the man) spoke english was when asking for dancers in my group, asking questions to the composer, and lastly when they asked us to come up and leave. Any other instruction such as “Yes, next”, “number XXXXX please stay”, and “keep going” (all from the woman) were all done in Korean. I found that kind of odd considering this is a GLOBAL audition done in CANADA. The man repeated the question in english when the he/she did not understand or if they didn’t do what she told them to do. I actually had to help a guy out because the woman’s phone went off in the middle of his singing so she told him to continue but he didn’t understand and stopped because he finished. I used a little body english (aka. moving my hand in rapid circles) because she instructed him in Korean. He actually thanked me after LOL. Thankfully I was second in line and he was close enough to see me quite clearly.
For the actual audition, they just told us that we’ll go from left to right and to look at the camera while doing our audition (they didn’t say this for the dancers but most of them did). So I went and I was sooo (x1000) nervous that my voice cracked a little bit but I still got my high note. My voice wasn’t in the best condition so it was kind of scratchy :(
Anyways, the guy that was 2 numbers behind me didn’t look at the camera so the woman told him to, and he was actually the one that was asked to stay behind! He wasn’t the best, but he had a good voice and I think she took note of that because she kept staring him down while taking notes even after he finished LOL.
One thing that was disappointing was that neither of the two judges actually looked at us when we were singing, except for the guy that wasn’t looking at the camera. So when you do your audition make sure to sing something that matches your voice well so it can catch their attention! I’m pretty sure she wouldn’t have caught him not looking at the camera if he didn’t have a nice voice so sing confidently!! One girl messed up pretty badly when she was singing Rolling in the Deep by Adele, but she kept going and this earned her nods from the judges so keep going even if you mess up!!!
And after this was over, they thanked us and told us to leave, and that was that. Outside the room there was around 6 people still waiting to audition so I was one of the last people to audition. And by the time this ended (it was around 4:30) the Holiday Inn was almost empty.
And (drum roll please) that was my experience!!! I hope you guys enjoyed reading this far and learned something new. The whole audition was a lot of fun (actually saw someone from my school there LOL and he was in the group before me so I got to see him audition).
Lastly before I end this, I’ll just give a few tips for you guys:
1. DON’T wear a lot of makeup. I saw A LOT of girls wearing too much makeup and this didn’t look too good tbh. A girl in the group before me actually wore really long fake eyelashes that just made her eyes look too doll like and unnatural. So wear light makeup (I just did cushion foundation, brows, mascara and a light lipstick, but it wore off since I drank a lot of water).
2. DON’T dress to impress. Many girls wore shorts and tank tops, and some of the guys did their hair. I mean it was very hot that day, but I think wearing jeans / sweats / leggings would’ve been much better. Also, a lot of the girls wore white t-shirts with the green bomber jacket and the jeans + the black boots LOL. So try to just dress comfortably, especially if you’re dancing. BUT definitely don’t wear pyjamas or something LOL.
3. TRY to sing a Korean song. There was one girl in my group that was not Korean but still sang Kim Bum Soo’s I miss you and earned a smile from the female judge. Obviously her pronunciation wasn’t very good and she was off pitch and too fast in some places but she still tried, and this shows a lot about your determination. Other than me and her, everyone else sang english songs. OH and nobody was cut off thankfully when we were singing, so that was a plus.
4. Forgot to mention this, but for dancers, they played generic pop songs such as Ariana Grande and another song that I didn’t know for our group.
5. If you get really nervous while singing in front of others, then do this trick: Breathe in deeply, and when breathing out, relax your shoulders enough so that they flop down. Don’t do this too much where your shoulder starts to hurt! This temporarily relaxes your shoulders and your neck so you don’t strain them when you sing.
6. Try to get a good night sleep (at least 8 hours) the night before and don’t practice too much. I made the mistake of sleeping for only 5-6 hours while straining my throat during practice the day before. Drink lots of water and remember to think that you can do it! Because if you already think that you failed, or that you can’t do it before you actually do it, then you’re most likely not going to do well. Mental control is key during stressful situations like this!
7. Lastly, don’t put all of your hope and dreams into one audition. Why I say this is not because I doubt any of your guys’ talents, but because the chances of getting accepted into SM are very slim. Depending on when you audition, their moods and their viewpoints may be different, and we can’t change that. And by viewpoints I mean what SM is looking for at that time. In groups, the group’s atmosphere and their needed talent is very important so it may differ from the to time!
8. (You saw this coming): Try to lose some weight for the audition. Like I mentioned before, I would recommend this because I do believe what they look for during auditions is 70% looks and 30% talent. I’m sure we’ve all noticed this before, but when the MV’s and the SM Global audition messages from kpop starts were being played in the waiting room, everyone was SOO beautiful. (LOL DUH **Facepalm**). But other than the looks factor, another reason to lost weight is because most of us will look bigger on camera. And because we are evaluated through the recorded video, looking slimmer may give you bonus points. Also, I think you’ll win extra points if you’re tall, especially if you’re a guy because the guys I saw there were all pretty short. I’m kind of tall (168 cm) so I saw guys that were shorter / around the same height as me. But of course, there were guys that were a bit taller, but not really taller than me (as in above 180 cm). Korean women love tall guys, so that’s what SM would take highly for their artists. (Take Johnny from NCT for example - he looks like a model everywhere he goes and is known for his ‘physical’).
P.S. If anyone is wondering if I saw anyone hot enough to be in SM’s new girl / boy group, the answer is no, except for this one guy I did see that was half Korean / half white. He had the beautiful big eyes that Koreans love in half Koreans so he was very eye-catching LOL. He’s born in the year 2000 btw (I sat next to him and saw his registration form hehehe). But I mean I can’t really be the judge because my views on what is considered ‘good looking’ may be different from SM’s, so don’t take my word for this!
9. It’s okay if you mess up during your audition. FNC mentioned in a broadcast that what’s important in auditions is not so much how well you do, but your star quality. The judges WILL know that we get nervous, and so we may not be on the beat and we may be a little off pitch. What they’re looking for is the potential for you do be a kpop star and to ‘sell’ (sounds wrong to say this for people) to the audience. And this is why I actually believe that the standards for most entertainment companies is 70% ‘looks’ (or star quality) and 30% talent, because now it’s so important to be funny in variety shows. Because if you have the star quality (the wittiness or that special ‘something’ that catches people’s attention and / or good looks), then you’re more likely to ‘sell’ well. Your aura, personality and poise all play a role in determining your star quality, so don’t be discouraged if you believe your looks aren’t good enough.
And lastly to finally end this long post, I just want to give a big hug to all of you reading this, trying to figure out / work towards your dream while living life. I’ve been there (still am LOL) and I know how tough it is, trying to do well in school while kpop and social media distracts us. It’s hard trying to maintain a social life and getting a good night’s sleep but I just want to tell you guys that it will all be over one day. And I also want to congratulate you guys for actually reading this because that means you have a dream / interest that you want to work on, and trust me, having a dream (even as big as a kpop star) is better than having no dreams at all (been there, done that). Moreover, although you should know when to give up, you should also know when to work harder and to not give up so easily, especially because of one audition. Truth to be told, I’m probably going to audition again not just for SM, but for other entertainment companies because I’m going to Korea in less than a week (yay!). And I would encourage you guys to do the same because I feel so much more confident now that I have experienced a live audition and know what it’s like. So if you don’t pass your second audition, try again! You’ll do much better the second time and this will help you decide if the K-pop industry is right for you.
Moreover, it’s heartbreaking to say this as a SM stan, but SM may not be the right entertainment company for you (and me). If we see the current k-pop stars, not only did many of them audition multiple times, but they failed in one company but got into another. This just proves how the standards for each company will be a little bit different from one another. An example of this would be with IOI / Gugudan’s Sejong, where she was recognized as a talent from YG in Kpopstar season 2 while SM gave up on casting her during the casting rounds when they had the priority. YG even mentioned how they have different styles and standards for their company. So PLEASE, if you’re really passionate about this, don’t give up from the first company.
FINALLY! It’s literally 5:30 AM right now so I’m not sure if my writing makes sense, but Thank you so much for reading this far and I hope this helped you in any way! Feel free to ask any questions / clarifications for anything and remember: Don’t give up on your first try! Even someone as pretty and talented as IU had to audition multiple times before being accepted in Loen. Even if it was not one of the Big 3 companies, she still went in and gained success! Lastly, I hope to see at least one of us here succeed into the Kpop world! Good luck everyone!!
P.S. Because of my trip to Korea this week, I may not be able to answer all of your questions really quickly. I’ll try to answer them within 24 hours, but I may need more time than that. So sorry and thanks for understanding!
