Back to Blizzard for some Friday Bullet Points
I pretty much spent all of February ignoring WoW, Blizzard, or anything related.  The call of Valheim and the need for a break was strong I guess.  I suppose it is time to take a minute to catch up with a new month on hand.  And hey, it is Friday, so bullet points look like the path forward. Season of Discovery Season 2 and XP Boosts WoW Classic: Season of Discovery hit phase 2 early in…

That moment when your temporary boss loves pets and mounts
Tumblr media
Meet Hiaro! Night elf demon hunter who becomes leader of the Illidari after Illidan’s death. He is loyal to Illidan’s beliefs, typically edgy, angry and with a sad backstory, like every demon hunter, but he has one weaknes! Kor’vas  Animals and dragons! And his poor champion must take care of his pets when he isn’t home.

@faebelina
So you said to share away for Team RWBY in WoW--well, here they are!
(Under cut because length.)
Ruby:
Tumblr media
(wtb tutus in WoW kthx.)
Weiss:
Tumblr media
(I wish they had left-hand rapiers :c  Also, she is Frost spec but Legion had her pigeonholed into a staff, so rn the sword’s just for show.)
Blake:
Tumblr media
(Damn subtlety rogues not being able to use swords...)
Yang:
Tumblr media
(Bonus Yang with Bumblebee)
Tumblr media
And finally, Winter Schnee:
Tumblr media
Why is Winter in the SDC?  idk.  Wanted somewhere to put her lol.  It’s her, Weiss and a level 1 human I named after Klein to help facilitate guild leadership transfer to Weiss.
Also, all transmogs are based on the Volume 4/Volume 5 timeskip outfits.  WoW doesn’t really do a whole lot to facilitate them very well, but I did my best.  I hope one day we get a big white Kul Tiran coat for Blake.  That’d be awesome.
Also, I’m on Sentinels, an old, dead RP realm.  Hope you enjoy :P

me when i got to the end of the mage questline and got a plate
But it’s, like, a really fancy plate
It makes all other plates feel ashamed of themselves

annnnd now you’re sad
For people who can’t see the images/have a hard time reading it the full text is below the cut
Dear Ts’ana,
As much as I like having my guildmates around it is nice to do stuff on your own. I feel like I never get to do anything when they’re around. I recognize that I might not be as strong as some of my guildmates but it feels… slightly demeaning when I just stand around and watch them go to work and I collect the bounty for the work.
Which is why I’ve decided to take southern Stranglethorn on alone. While in the north part of the jungle I kept hearing mentions of a pirate city to the far south. A pirate city, Ts’ana! How exciting is that?! Once I had finished all my tasks in the northern part of the jungle I caught a griffon south as far as I could go before I had to ride the rest of the way.
Oh! That reminds me. I didn’t tell you Ts’ana! I finally saved enough money to afford a mount and some riding lessons.
Out in Azeroth, there’s this very popular card game they play at inns and professionally called Hearthstone. It’s actually a pretty big deal, especially in Stormwind and you can win a lot of money playing it. I am not very good at it but one night I got on a lucky streak at a local tournament and won a Gnome-made mechanical mount that’s like nothing I’ve ever seen! They call it a Hearthsteed and he’s shaped like a horse and made of metal but has a magical flaming mane and tail. I was told the more I ride him and the better I get at controlling him one day he’ll be able to fly.
The idea of being able to fly wherever I want is intoxicating. Not that I don’t appreciate all the Griffon Masters immensely but sometimes… their routes are a bit long and roundabout. I much prefer to fly myself. I might even forgo flying if it’s close enough because of how roundabout the way is. I haven’t come up with a name for him yet but you will be the first to know when I do!
But what was I saying? Yes! The pirate city! We didn’t get pirates out in the Exodar, too far from the water and since you left there haven’t been any settlements made close to the water. I’ve only read about pirates in the books at the library. They’re supposed to be horrible scoundrels who steal anything that moves.
They haven’t met my friends if they think that’s the worst someone can be.
The pirate city is just like any city really, except it exists outside of Alliance law. Which is fine. The Exodar does too. There are shops, an inn, a post, even a bank and people plying trade. There are city defenses who will give you directions if you need them. But the thing about them is their appearance.
I’ve never seen a goblin before. They rarely came to the Exodar. No reason to really. But Booty Bay (yes, that’s the name! Can you believe it? I thought it was hilarious when a little goblin told me the name with a straight face) is almost all goblins with the odd human. Certainly no Draenei. I’ve only met one Draenei since I left the Exodar. She had a very strange accent. I can only imagine how lonely it is out in Stranglethorn for her. All alone with no other Draenei…
I guess that’s me now too, isn’t it?

20?
Well, that’s a… tricky question. One (Hearthsteed, of course) on official WoW and seven (Black Stallion, Spotted Frostsaber, Ebon Gryphon, Blue Hawkstrider, Acherus Deathcharger (I shouldn’t probably count that one, tho) Mountain Horse and a Cindermane Charger) on a certain WoW private server. Thanks for asking! :D (and also, thanks for noticing my tiny blog)

Yesssssssss I’ve played Hearthstone enough to get the Hearthsteed mount in WoW! Now I just need to wait until April or whatever to resubscribe lol.
I also got the flaming kitty mount by playing 15 rounds of the awful Heroes of the Storm game. That was torture. At least Hearthstone is relatively fun and I can play it on my phone or laptop.

WoW/Hearthstone Canon
I was asked
“Okay, so I was reading your last few posts about having Aranya interact with characters from the Mean Streets expac.
Which I love, cuz that expac just makes me happy all around :D
However, I was never completely sure if the gangs in themselves were canon. The only source I could find implied that they were exaggeration and tall tales, and not actually canon?
I was quite curious if you had seen anything to imply the contrary.
(and this is not an attempt to correct, simply an inquiry. If you see them as canon, that's super cool! Cuz I really wanna write something about the Kabal)”
@the-news-nerd
So my answer
Great question!
It’s alluded and implied pretty heavily - in both WoW and in HS - that the world of Hearthstone and the world of Warcraft affect each other, and are very intertwined (makes sense, since they’re of the same IP).
Allow me to share some examples.
Sir Finley Mrrgglton the murloc was original to Hearthstone, in the League of Explorers adventure, but was later made a quest-giver NPC in Stormheim with the release of WoW Legion.
There have been Hearthstone-related objects (and even a mount, the Hearthsteed) in the game since it launched in 2013 while MoP was still current content,
And Hearthstone related toys and collectibles since Ben Brode got an immortal place as a garrison NPC in WoD, selling game boards, autographed cards, and “the winning hand.”
James Kostesich, aka Firebat, the winner of the first-ever Hearthstone World Championships at BlizzCon 2014, has an in-game pet named after him called Firebat Pup, and it’s gotten through the Order Hall missions.
There is an upcoming Hearthstone elemental pet in patch 7.2, likely with similar lore to the Hearthsteed. (speculation)
There are several quest, flavor text, achievement, and item references to the Hearthstone adventure One Night in Karazhan involved with the Legion dungeon version of Karazhan.
What people can deduce from all of this is that yes, Hearthstone material can be considered canon in Warcraft, however, it remains loose enough that anyone who does not want to regard it as such does not have to.

POKE ME AS YOU LIKE FOR SOME MSOG RP, FELLOW ALLEGIANT OF THE KABAL! :D
