Hey there!

Before I Forget (Again) is an in-production queer time travel workplace comedy. Our entire main ensemble is queer (minus Larry, the token het and notorious bi-wife-energy guy, but he's rockin a 'free dad hugs' shirt at pride kind of energy), including five LGB main characters, three of which are trans and/or genderqueer, and that's without even touching on the side characters.

As previously stated, it is still in production, but we plan to release sometime in Fall of 2025, so if you'd like a queer podcast rec for later, we'd love if you'd drop us a follow!

In the meantime, I (admin Beck) will take ANY excuse to recommend The Penumbra Podcast (bisexual genderqueer detective on Mars, what more could you want?),

Where the Stars Fell (the ultimate opposites attract Sapphic romance featuring angels, demons, and the poor humans who love them, very much a la Good Omens),

and, last but CERTAINLY not least,

Starfall (a travelling acting troupe and their brand new feral guard dog, an ex-cult member named Leona with a mysteeeeerious paaaast! Canonical Aro, ace, trans, gay, and bi characters and just generally a very queer friendly, band of misfits and rejects vibe).

I am, of course, very biased towards Starfall, as a voice actor in the upcoming Season 2, but I highly recommend all of these nonetheless.

I desperately need new queer fiction podcast recomendations at the moment as I have just finished camp here and there and need something to listen to while playing video games (I have the attention span of a goldfish and need at least 3 different sources of stimulation at once or I get bored).

also for the record I have already binged the entirety of TMA (several times), HFTH (also several times), WTNV, CHNT, and started listening to Malevolent but decided that it wasnt really for me.

I can’t let this appreciation week go without thanking every single person in this group. Plus those that have come and gone! Whether we’ve been able to have our lovely people chat yet or we will someday, just seeing all of you on the dash and getting to read what everyone’s up to makes me so happy.

Who knew when I decided to join this rp 3(ish) years ago that I would find a little rp home. Also, y’all are 100% stuck with me at this point. I don’t make the rules, I just enforce them.

Double Trouble

Hey guys, @leelee10898 here. Since @cocomaxley & @ao719 posted their birth story... I figured I should get off my butt and do one, considering the twins were due months before them lol. This is just a little something I threw together, it also answers a few questions some had. So here we go...

Alicia leaned back against her husbands chest as she watched their twins enjoy the puppet show with the other kids. So many things had changed in a years time. The wild fun loving group were now all parents, they traded beers for bottles, and the guys weekly poker game turned into once a month, and weekly play dates. "Penny for your thoughts love?" Leo whispered in her ear. "Just thinking how fast time flies. It feels like yesterday they were born, and now they are 1." She sighed.

"Oh I remember it well." Leo chuckled as the two thought back to the day that changed their lives forever.

1 year ago…..

"God its so hot." Alicia whined as she fanned herself.  It was unseasonably hot and humid for April, and here they were sitting at a garden party to celebrate Regina's birthday. "I'm sorry love. I know you're miserable, how about a glass of Ice water?" Leo gave her a sympathetic smile, and a kiss on the cheek. "Ok fine. But a big one,  with lots of Ice." She pouted, as Leo motioned to a nearby waiter. "Oh, and a cookie. chocolate chip, no oatmeal raisin. Wait, No. yes. Ok bring both." Slightly confused the waiter wandered off to retrieve the duchess's requested items. Leo walked over to join the guys leaving Alicia with the other ladies.

"God its hot. Who the hell planned this?" Anitah huffed. "Um you did." Genevieve rolled her eyes. "Jesus I swear this pregnancy brain is going to be the death of me. I almost forgot to put underwear on this morning." She popped a grape in her mouth. "It is hot, but its a very nice day. Maybe you guys can go inside to cool off?" Pam suggested. Finally the waiter came back with Alicia's water and cookies. "How are you holding up honey?" Pam turned to Alicia who looked like she was stung by a bee. "Im hot, im huge, I can't see my feet. Speaking of feet, they're swollen and the amount of pressure and cramping today may just kill me." She blurted out, pam gave her a questioning look.

"God im sorry Pam. I didn't mean to snap, I just. Oh, ooooh, ugh." She cringed as she grabbed her stomach. Anitah shot her a look. "What's going on over there?"

"These damn Braxton hicks." Alicia grunted. "You sure its not gas?" Genevieve snickered. "Trust me, if I fart you'll know it Gen."

She composed herself and focused on picking at the cookie in front of her. Not having much of an appetite anymore, she took deep breaths trying to keep the pain at bay. The ladies chattered around her, Leo still talking to the guys.

Suddenly Alicia's eyes went wide. "My. My water broke." Genevieve looked over placing her hand on Alicia's "that's ok honey,  we'll get you another." Pam looked down at the liquid dripping from the chair. "Um Gen, no. Her water broke. The twins are coming."

Genevieve and Anitah froze, pure fear in their eyes. Alicia let out a long loud groan.  "Oh god. It's happening." Anitah panicked standing and knocking over her chair, Genevieve following suit. The two began to freak out, while Pam tried to soothe Alicia. The commotion drew the attention of the whole party, Leo grinning widely in conversation as he turned to face his wife. The smile soon faded as his eyes landed on Alicia's pain stricken face.

Leo took off running across the lawn, tripping over the leg of a table holding a large ice sculpture in the form of a swan. He landed in a rolling heap on the lawn, the table flipping over sending the ice sculpture into the air, landing in the fountain where Madeline, Kiara and Alexis stood, soaking them from head to toe. Bastian had Brad bring a car around, as Liam and Drake helped Alicia across the lawn. "My bag. Its in our car." Alicia breathed out, Rashad volunteered to grab it while Leo limped next to his wife.

They arrived at the hospital, Leo was treated for a sprain and Alicia was rushed to a delivery room.  Anitah, Liam, Drake, pam, Rashad and Genevieve sat in the private waiting area down the hall from the delivery room. Maxwell was in Texas visiting with Stephanie and Evie, Liam called him to let him know that Alicia was having the twins.

"You're 8 centimeters your grace. Not much longer until these babies are here." Another strong contraction hit her like a ton of bricks.  "Arrrrggg Fuuuuck! It hurts." She sobbed. "Leo, we are never having sex again." Leo chuckled as he rubbed his wife's damp head. "I think we both know thats not true."

"The fuck it isnt! Bambam better not come anywhere near pebblesssss, ahhhhh my god fuckkkk it hurts."

Leo's face turned a deep red as the nurse snickered.

Anitah paced the floor. "Anitah, sit down you're gonna wear the tile out." Genevieve teased as rashad rubbed her feet. "I can't just sit. Its been hours, we haven't heard anything yet. What if something's wrong?" Liam came up placing his hands on her shoulders.  "Everything is fine my love." Anitah glanced at the door opening it a crack and sticking her head out. She heard a blood curdling scream come from down the hall, a few doctors and nurses rushing into the room Alicia was in. Before Liam could grab her Anitah bolted out the door, down the hall and into Alicia's room where she could see a small head crowning.  

A doctor approached the queen, who was looking a bit green in the face "your majesty, are you ok? You don't look so well." He questioned

"Oh, im fi-" She leaned over vomiting on his shoes.  "Fine." She lifted her head just in time to see another doctor hold a tiny baby up, and hear a tiny cry. Anitah joined Leo next to Alicia. "One down, one more to go." The doctor said. "I had to make sure you were ok." Anitah sniffled as she looked down at the new baby in her bestfriends arms. "Will you stay here for the next one?" Alicia sniffled. "Of course." Shortly after Baby A was born, baby B made their way into the world. After the nurses cleaned them up and Leo and Alicia had time alone the group entered the room. "Everyone, I would like to introduce you to Leonard Joshua and Arabella Faith."

Leonard or LJ for short was born first  weighing 7lbs 2 oz and 20 inches long. Arabella was born 2nd weighing 6lbs 10 oz and 19 ½ inches long. Both babies were healthy, and did not need to spend any time in the NICU.

"So when are you two gonna make the announcement?" A voice pulled them from their thoughts. They looked over to find Stephanie sitting there. They both gave her a questioning look. "Oh come on. I may not live in Cordonia anymore, but Im not stupid." Stephanie had made the decision to move back home to Texas to care for her sick mother. Maxwell and her both made the amicable decision to divorce, but still loved each other very much. He would travel to Texas to visit and occasionally Stephanie could come visit Cordonia, just like for the twins birthday.

"Well I guess now is as good a time as any." Alicia squeezed Leos hand. They walked over getting everyone's attention.  "We want to thank everyone for coming today. And Celebrating the twins birthday. But, we also have an announcement to make." Alicia looked to Leo who then grinned. "We're having a baby. Just one this time." He smirked.

The group congratulated the pair. Drake looked at Liam and shook his head, pulling a crisp $100 bill from his wallet "Damnit Liam, I should've known better then to take that bet. Liam smirked "what can I say. I know my brother,  and I'm pretty sure those two will end up having the most kids out of all of us."

Drake rolled his eyes. "Ok, fair. But how about a new bet." Liam looked at his best friend intrigued "I bet Rashad and Gen are next." Liam chucked "I'll take that bet."

This was requested by someone, though I can’t locate the post to tag them 😩 though I’d like to thank you so much for requesting this beanie! I loved writing this piece and I hope that you enjoy reading it! ♥️

Song that Inspired this piece: For this challenge, I was originally planning on using Christmas songs to inspire all of my fanfics... however, this idea stemmed from an evening of classic party tunes and it just stuck in my head for a while! 🎉 The song that inspired this piece was ‘Super Trouper’ by the lovable ABBA

Summary: After an evening at the Office, Adrian and Amy accompany Lily on a night out, though it soon becomes apparent that Adrian is in for more than he thought.

It had been a couple of months since the Showdown with Vega, and Amy found herself spending most of her days in the sanctitude of Adrian’s penthouse; though she enjoyed spending time with him out of work, a feeling of unease often clouded her mind, for she wasn’t entirely sure as to why he was so persistent.

At first she thought it was a spontaneous gesture; that he simply wanted to spend more time with her. However, as the days turned into weeks, it became apparent that his persistence wasn’t drawn from care or spouts of adoration.

It was drawn from fear.

It had been a pretty uneventful evening for Amy; though there seemed to be continuous stream of paperwork to complete, she couldn’t help but feel like her time was being wasted. Adrian had spent the entirety of his early evening in meetings with potential clients, and his absence was clearly felt as the room soon began to feel empty. She was on her own, and she couldn’t shake the feeling that something wasn’t quite right; the lights had been dimmed, and she found herself perched in near darkness, the only light resonating from the computer screen and the vibrant glow of the street lights below.

It wasn’t long before her phone illuminated the room, alerting her to a message from Adrian.

Her eyes windened with curiosity as she hastily texted a response.

Her mind wandered to her best friend; Lily never usually cared for going on spontaneous nights out, let alone without any company.... and why did she message Adrian?

She typed a quick reply before throwing her phone into her bag and retrieving her jacket. Within seconds, Adrian appeared from the elevator, reaching up to adjust his tie as he spoke, one arm looping around her waist.

‘Are you ready?’

The club pulsated with vibrancy and light, the bright beams bouncing off of the walls as they interchanged in time with the music; the dancefloor was littered with people, dancing through the night as they drank to excess, small beads of sweat glistening on their foreheads. Adrian’s eyes darted to every corner, one arm wrapped protectively around her waist. His hand tightens on her torso as they edge further into the room, pulling her closer to his side with every step, his brow knitting with concern.

‘Do you actually enjoy visiting places like this?’

‘Of course, though it’s normally the company that makes it more exciting - hence why I’m always out with Lily.’

Before he has a chance to respond, a strong force pushes into Amy as a young man collided with her, knocking her off of her feet and into Adrian. He clasps her shoulders to steady her, leaning back to support her as she regains her balance, shooting the man an icy glare as he hurries away.

‘Are you alright?’

‘I’m fine, Adrian - it was an accident I’m okay.’

She felt the muscles in his arms tighten, drawing her closer to his chest, as if for reassurance that keeping her by his side would ensure her safety.

‘Hey,’ she turns to face him, running her hand through his hair, ‘is everything okay?’

‘Yes of course; I’m just a bit on edge, that’s all.’

‘Adrian...’ her hand falls to cup his cheek, ‘it was an accident; he just had a bit too much to drink that’s all... people fall into one another all the time it’s only natural.’

He leans into her touch, his hand tangling in her hair, ‘I know that but..’ he pauses, collecting his thoughts, ‘you can never be too careful.’

He gazes warily around the room, before his eyes fall on a familiar figure edging towards them, her purple braids jolting in the air as she bounds in their direction, her cheeks brazen with sweat and glitter.

‘Amy!’ She pulls her friend into a hug, her hands entangling in her golden brown curls. ‘You actually came...’

‘Of course we did, we knew how much it meant to you!’ She rests her hand on Lily’s forearm as her lips curve into a smile, ‘Besides, dancing with the bestie sounds like heaven right now...’

‘Awh I couldn’t agree more! Though I also thought that it’d be nice for you both to get out of the Office for a night,’ Lily’s eyes dart between the pair, before refocusing on Adrian, lowering her voice to a whisper. ‘We could dance, take shots, buy a few rounds.... take more shots.... you know the typical Friday night out!’

‘You’re totally broke, aren’t you?’

‘...no?’

Amy meets her with a stern glare.

‘Okay okay! I may have spent a fair amount on a night out or two but it’s not like it’s a crime - I’m here for a good time not a long time...’

‘....You’re immortal.’

A brief silence encompasses the group, before the realisation strikes her. ‘Oh yeah...scrap that last comment.’

Adrian clears his throat, his hand resting on the small of Amy’s back as they step aside, giving a group of intoxicated partygoers access to the booths.

‘Thank you for inviting us, Lily.’

‘No need to thank me, Adrian,’ she smooths her hands across the creases on her skirt, ‘we’ve all been so busy recently it just felt like a good idea to unwind ya know?’ Her ears perk up to the sound of a familiar beat as it begins to emanate from the speakers.

She turns her attention to Amy, the pitch of her voice raised in excitement. ‘Ooooh this song is my JAM....wanna dance, twinkle toes?’

‘Maybe later,’ she smiles fondly at her, her eyes darting to the open floor, ‘now go and show these newbies how it’s done!’

‘No need to tell me twice!’

She takes her leave, maneuvering through the crowds before reaching the over-populated dance floor, her arms swaying in rhythm with the music. Adrian leans into Amy, his chin resting against her temple as he speaks.

‘Twinkle toes?’

‘It’s a silly nickname she came up with,’ she draws closer, meeting his gaze as her eyes reflect the ever-changing lights, ‘I was quite light-footed back in the day....’

‘Oh? What changed?’

‘She became a vampire and developed super hearing.’

‘Ah Yes,’ he presses a delicate kiss to her temple as she relaxes in his embrace, both arms wrapped tightly around her waist, ‘Is she adjusting well?’

‘Well she’s always been a night owl but it’s just...’

‘She misses going out in the sun...’

Amy nods.

‘Does it get easier? Not venturing out in the daylight?’

‘Oh yes; it takes a couple of years at least but it soon becomes more of a routine,’ their eyes focus on Lily, whose movements are becoming more rapid as the music changes pace, ‘Though that doesn’t mean that you can’t enjoy it for her.’

‘I know but it’s not the same.’

A sad smile graces her lips, before the comfortable silence is broken as the music shifts into a slow song; several revellers leave the dancefloor as couples begin to take their place.

She nudges him playfully, entwining her fingers with his as she leads him forward.

‘As it’s a slow song and all, I was wondering if perhaps monsieur would like to dance?’

He returns her grin as he pulls her closer, pressing his forehead against hers.

‘You already know the answer to that.’

The pair follow Lily into the crowd, their hands entwined as she leads him into the centre, his hand resting protectively on her waist as they take their positions. They sway to the flow of the music, her crimson dress bouncing with every step as they move around the dance floor.

She leans in to his embrace, resting her head on his chest as the atmosphere blurs around her, ‘thank you for doing this tonight; I know that you’re not exactly big on clubbing.‘

‘I wasn’t about to pass up the opportunity to spend more time with you outside of work,’ he presses a gentle kiss to the top of her head, ‘Though I can’t say that it hasn’t been nice to see Lily and Jax again.’

‘Jax is here?’

Her gaze shifts to his face, a fond smile enveloping his lips.

‘You didn’t notice the katana?’

‘No I....’ she pauses, glancing around the room, ‘where is he?’

He points to the shadows, where a lone figure stands, eyes aglow as he surveys the room, nursing a glass of bourbon in his hand.

‘Oh... is he okay?’

‘I would say so,’ he trails his hand along her spine, cupping the back of her neck. ‘He’s a good man; an excellent fighter and skilled negotiator if you ask me, though the Baron isn’t exactly making it easy for him to find his feet.’

‘Is there anything I can do to help?’

He gazes down at her, her doe-like eyes filling him with warmth as they focus on the features of his face. He captures her lips in a soft kiss, his lips curling into a smile against hers.

‘You being there is enough for the both of us,’ he hesitates, tucking a loose strand of hair behind her ear, ‘You’re a good friend, Amy; you’ve done so much for all of us that it feels like you’ve been around for a long time.’

‘Am I a good friend to you too?’

He cups her cheek with his hand, running his thumb across her jawline until it reaches her bottom lip. He speaks softly, lowering his voice to a hushed whisper as he leans in to her ear.

‘I’d say you’re more than that to me.’

She wraps her arms around his neck, her fingers lacing through his hair.

‘Well I’m not going anywhere just yet.’

He rests his forehead against hers, their bodies moving in sync with one another as the track switches into a recognisable tune, this being met with an eruption of cheers from the crowd.

'Cause somewhere in the crowd there's you..’

Amy’s eyes widen in recognition, an excitable smile enveloping her lips as she lets out a joyful gasp, her gaze falling on Adrian’s face as the blue lights glisten on his cheeks.

‘Oh my God I love this song!’

‘AMMMMMYYYYY!?!?’

A loud voice beckons to them from across the room, drawing their attention to the bar; Lily stands on the counter, her feet shoulder width apart as she peers over the crowd, her hand grasping a bottle of wine as she bops in time with the music. She outstretches her arm towards them, gesturing for her to come over with a curled finger.

Adrian’s eyes dart between the pair as he edges her forward with a confident smile. ‘Go...’

‘Are you sure?’

‘Yes,’ he draws her closer to him, placing a lingering kiss to her temple, ‘this is your night as well as my own.’

Adrian’s attention remains on Amy as she manoeuvres through the crowd towards Lily, pulling herself up onto the bar to stand beside her friend. Within seconds, the pair are in mid song, their melodic voices carrying across the room as they recite the words, their pitch changing to match that of the track. He watches her with intent, a loving smile spreading across his face as she moves in time to the rhythm before they break into a synchronised dance, their faces aglow with a mixture of excitement and alcohol.

Their gazes meet once more as she flashes him a mischievous smile. He focuses on the details of her face; her rosy cheeks, the dimples that form as she smiles; the way that her hair cascades down her back like a golden waterfall. All of these things made her unique; all of these things made her human and, as he continued to watch her, a delicate flame radiated through his body; a feeling that he thought had since been long extinguished.

I remember the first time I listened to it because I got chills. It's sooo beautiful and emotional (I prefer the accoustic version because for this reason)

Nostalgic, is such a GOOD way, I can't help but imagine a nice afternoon on a bike, bathed in the sun, laughing with whoever you feel the closest to and just- existing together while nothing else matters

1. How many languages do you speak? If you do which are they? 

I can speak three languages actually. English, Spanish and a good amount of  Mandarin chinese. But I really want to master a few more too.

2. What is your dream job or life goal?

My dream job is to be a successful artist or author but really all I want to do is help people so I’m studying to be a doctor.

3. If you could hang out with one historical person who would it be and why?

Khutulun the famous Mongolian princess. We need a movie about her tbqh. She’s in the show Marco Polo which is close but not enough for me lol. She was skilled at fighting and had superb military experience. I would ask her to teach me to fight and train me. 

4. If you could murder one person in the entire world - could be anyone, political figure, family member, online - and get away with it, who would it be?

I was going to say Trump but Mike Pence terrifies me more, so Hitler. But Assasin’s Creed style because in their lore/history he doesn't kill himself, an Assasin does so that would be pretty cool.

5. Also where would you bury that son of a bitch?

I don’t know really, probably just hide him in a pile of hay.

Aiden (The Originals) -Unfair totally unfair, broke my heart because him and Josh were in a fight and mad at each other.

Fer (Fisica o Quimica) - So this is a show from Spain that I adore. It’s like their version of Degrassi. And two of the main characters Fer and David were gay and in a relationship. I was so happy and shocked that they were comfortable with giving a gay relationship as much screentime and amazing storyline as the rest of the couples. BUT a school shooter had some of the students trapped in the school, including Fer. One of the other students was trying to wrestle the gun out of the boy’s hand and out of the 8? people that were there FER was the one who got shot and died! What’s worse they kept reminding us he was dead by having him “haunt” David everytime David did something stupid. I to this day am salty and sad and in denial and I just loved them so much.

Ooooh that’s hard because I’m still a kid at heart and I watch these shows today too. Between W.I.T.C.H, Avatar The Last Airbender, X-Men: Evolution, Code Lyoko, I honestly loved them all. Totally Spies, Martin Mystery, Mucha Lucha because represention that’s why, Juniper Lee. I could go on lol sorry.

8. Which is your Hogwarts House?

It may come as a surprise (Not really) I am a Hufflepuff <3 and Proud of it

I don’t know actually. Um, compared to other magic styles it’s not my favorite but I would probably use Cantis on people to make my life a musical

It’s not a crush but I do really admire my philosophy professor. He’s a young, handsome grad student who makes self-deprecating jokes and likes stuff that I like so it’s fun having conversations with him.
