I enjoyed reading through the comics online while snagging icons for Kirk/Man-Bat but goodness, did I squint hard at some of his depictions, chiefest of all was him having his wings on his back like some sort of dragon like... what?? This Man-Bat's wings form primarily on his arms, fingers elongating like an actual bat's wing anatomy are supposed to.

oh man. it's hard to tell, honestly. my earliest inspirations were probably rowling ( i was like seven, please be kind ), && then i was a big fan of charles dickens && stephanie meyer. i keep away from most first person writing, though. a lot of people on tumblr rn inspire me && how i write a lot, too, big shout outs to glass ( from the ut fandom ) for being a huge inspo. not that they follow me here but, you know.

11. describe your ideal outcome/endgame for the muse you are currently writing.

thats a fun one. i guess if i had a "story" for vox here, it would probably be redemption for the sake of it. or redemption with him condemning himself all over again for the sake of the people he cares for still being in hell. vox is a redeemable person, in my opinion, his actual crimes of sorts that ended with him in hell are far from, like, unable to return from, i think. or else just, you know, killing him entirely for fun. i love a good death plot.

13. what themes/motifs do you hope other people notice most about your character?

i'm so awful about themes && motifs. the biggest theme of vox is just Pure Insecurity, his "character transformation" would probably be considered learning to love himself, without exception. he just ... adapts to people in a desperate attempt to have people around him. he really doesn't need to do that, but he thinks he does. he is selfless in some ways if you squint, but it's all for the purpose of self - validation && not necessarily to be good to other people. if he were to discover no one liked him at all, if he found himself completely alone, that would turn very quickly from kindness to cruelty, demanding good treatment or face consequences.

" i don't have much of a problem with anyone. i've been known to butt heads with kai a few times here and there, but i do hold a deep respect for the both of them. they've done a lot for you, for us. i'm still feeling out the concept and area of eraser and mic, but i think we all know how i feel about the former. " that smile grows a little bigger, a little warmer. he fiddles with the hem of his glove.

my diehard dynamic is one that perseveres through the odds. it doesn't matter if it's platonic, romantic, or familial namely - what matters is that they face extreme trials through their entire story and still make it through to the end, and with their bond intact, even if their perspective of one another has changed. i've been through sooo many fandoms and rpcs at this point, and i think that a lot of my favourite dynamics have revolved around this sort of dynamic; where the two people won't let the world break them apart.

washington and carolina in red vs blue falls into this, because they were the only two agents from project freelancer left in the end, and they were basically like siblings once it got to that point. cayde-6 in destiny had an undying bond with the other vanguard (zavala and ikora) through the events of the first and second games, until he... well... let's just say i have a track record of my favs dying or almost dying.

but okay, if i have to pick a specific dynamic, i'm on board with mentor/mentee the most - barring platonic and romantic dynamics, because i like my muses to have friends and happiness, but mentor/mentee dynamics are just... chefs kiss. like yes, i want other muses to guide my muse through the trials and tribulations of life. i want my muse to have parent-like figures who don't actually seek to overrule that role in their lives, just being in their corner, wanting to see them grow as a person and be a part of the reason they do. i want my muse to LEARN from other muses. whether it's by shadowing them or by being asked question after question... i love it so much.

what genre do you most enjoy, whether in roleplay, or fiction as a whole? (fantasy, period, superhero, etc.)

my top two genres are sci-fi and fantasy. but okay, that's pretty broad, right? there are a LOT of subcategories here. and yes, i like basically all of them, but i'll name a specific one for each:

sci-fi? dystopian. but like... blade runner dystopian. westworld dystopian. cyberpunk dystopian. worlds where the lines blur and you're left to question where you're meant to draw the line. sure, i like more traditional sci-fi too - such as mass effect, one of my favourite games of all time - but there's something i love to explore in the idea of dystopian fiction the most, and in anything that is inherently sci-fi based, these can apply.

as for fantasy? my main one is historical fantasy. yeah, i like my high fantasy, i definitely like my dark fantasy, but honestly... i love things that are fantastical while still having historical connections. i think highlander REALLY sealed the deal for me on this one - and if not that, then obviously anything ancient mythos related, but... yeah. dark fantasy is just such a close second. (if you squint, you can tell i'm a massive bioware fanboy who adores their trademark series.)

Rosie, a friend suggested her some twenty years ago for this elite comic book RP guild. She's the only one I kept from that time. I never heard of her before that & when I read her I remember saying 'she's such an angsty little shit. I love her.'. Her background is like casebook 'what happens if you have a poor support system' in a way.

Ryouta (daken/fang canonly), well he's that guilty pleasure villain everyone enjoys reading about for me I suppose. In another way I get curious about nurture vs nature. Which is something intertwined with his chara i think. (it's a dark past) What inspired me to write him, well he had a slow progression away from his villainess nature you could say. And I am a sucker for growth. It was his appearance's in All New Wolverine that made me go 'oh i'm going to write him'.

Somnus somehow turns stabby villains into teddy bears and i thought it was hilarious.

Bobby, well I wanted a silly gay polyamorous muse & I had been itching to write him for awhile but at the same time wanted to write with a Bobby more so held off. Gave in about a year back i think?

Malicia, well she's pretty AU of one of my favourite comic charas growing up. And well I'm a tad nervous writing her main verse so I just did something with a twist for fun.

TJ I've written a few times over the years. Normally when a friend has me going 'Hell yeah!'. One time I believe a friend was making a Blink (the bestie). This time around I started talking to a few friends about her & then got to talking with Armin about her relationship with her dad. A similar thing happened with Billy. I ended up bringing him back after talking with a friend who writes his twin Tommy. As for originally, I sadly do not recall.

Cloud, well as I said i'm a sucker for growth & his story is full of it. I also enjoy picking apart ways people display or write PTSD & show how it can be displayed in society or be a danger creatively. I also have PTSD, which can range on my reactions to things depending on my environment. So in a way it's one of the ways I learn about myself. Though his mental state has more of a twist to it as he has the lifestream & Jenova influences. Which can come across as confusing as it can seem similar to different forms of DID.

I also have a disability involving memory and memory issues brought on from trauma. So it kinda pulled me in more, I normally don't write muses that are popular to write or I lose the want to write them quickly. Which is not the case with Cloud, he's my rule or norm breaker. (might be why I'm not writing Tifa or Zack tho I'll be honest)

There's a lot of things. Slow burns. Small bits of seriousness that leads to progression of a relationship (friendship or ship). Crack seriousness (threads where you have to squint to see the crack), Smut (picky with that), Angsty pain, healthy ships, snarky *jazz hands* ships, Silly friend/fam moments. etc...

ʜᴏᴡ ᴅᴏ ʏᴏᴜ ᴄᴏᴍᴇ ᴜᴘ ᴡɪᴛʜ ʜᴇᴀᴅᴄᴀɴᴏɴꜱ?

^_^; So I have the habit, of writing detailed notes & accumulate data (websites, youtube videos, games/comics what have you). I normally write detailed dossiers but lately they turn into 10+ page essays so I've been slapping on wiki pages. Clouds is mostly how his mental state is, how it works & alters along with a lot of lore on locations and Materia to help myself & it's mostly jumbled quick notes with no flow. yeah i just went 'i'll put this over here for later'.

But I basically bury myself within a segment of lore to work it through my head a few times. Then I try to see if I can make it fit into how I feel I'd like to write the muse. Comics can be a bit tricky because there's no mainline writer or books get canceled, one writer makes what another put in place meaningless.

Both! It depends. For close connections or like someone that might be someone mine knows I can ask peeps questions to get an idea of a same flow or idea going. Other times I'll wing it entirely while some i'll just give a brief info dump and ask if someone down for it. Then there's plotting while the thread is being written just to throw out ideas or okay things. There's also the excitement of eating popcorn just because I'm wondering if it'll turn tortuously cute or like a thriller in the next few goes depending on what's going on. xD

           Silas came to a halt as an individual suddenly just appeared before him from the… ground? Certainly odd but that wasn’t the oddest part about this individual to him; The oddest part was the fact this individual was dressed quite similarly to him. These two things left him just sort of just staring back in silence for a few moments.

           He had no clue on what this was or whom this was. Perhaps it was some sort of shapeshifting creature attempting to copy his form? Though, if it was, this creature certainly was bad at it. Sure, it was managing to look similarly to him but it was easy to tell there were some key differences between how they looked just from the clothing.

He squinted at the boy from behind his mask before he cocked his head to the side in both intrigue and confusion, allowing himself to remain relaxed despite his current assumption since the individual didn’t seem violent or aggressive as of currently.

           “ What and whom are you? ” He finally questioned, finally deciding to voice his growing curiosity about this individual.

Funnily enough, @batteredoptimist came and asked me 'so about this sailor boy...' and, as it turned out, I got a Westley and a Nonny out of the deal. Which is pretty great for me. Now he's so different from the original idea I had of him — he's fully developed and it's been pretty amazing to see.

3. which muse is the trickiest to get into character for? :: Hmmm, not counting muses that are so fresh at being test muses it'd be because of a lack of practice... I guess generally any tertiary muses? I think that's pretty much how I determine primary, secondary, tertiary; how easy it is to get into character with a muse.

4. is there a muse that not a lot of people roleplay with? :: Sure, though that's of course as much on myself as other people. Notably my Doctor Who canon companion muses (Clara, River) don't have- any current threads I think, going on? But they're also secondary (and kinda low end of the label) & tertiary, respectively, so it's not like I push them very much, either.

14. which muse has the most aus or verses? :: Cas (waywardfeathered), apparently. I had to count between him and Shepard (dutyworn) and Cas has 10 verses while Shep has 9, at the moment. Cas has more AU-ish AUs as well. Also Cas used to have a verse for every season he appears in that I am overhauling to less verses, and before that it was so chaotic I had several verses per season for some seasons because plot points lol. Like I had four verses for season twelve alone, at some point. But this makes sense, since out of my current muses... he's been around the longest, since 2018. I guess if you squinted Iris has been around since 2013 but like not always actively, and the Doctor in some regeneration or another since also 2013 but...

i really, really want to say stephen king. i think it's a squint and you see it there now, but wow back when i was younger. i think i'll also include -- book wise, varjak paw and coraline because those books altered my brain chemistry and way i approach writing.

YES. who? also yes. i have so many muses i'd love to try -- or even just try writing again. it's mostly a thing of lacking confidence and not being able to focus on more than one or two muses at a time.

i write short stuff! i think theyre considered drabbles. i have one short story i've got the barest of ideas out for but fleshing it out beyond how i want it to end is not working out for me. i also work on comics! i have a pokemon nuzlocke comic that i kinda paused on but i'm trying to work on again. i just... lost the script. again.

My Opinion on; Blaze (@/smileduponyou)

Character in general: Gregory is a character I initially didn’t find myself having particularly strong feelings towards in canon. In the movie he was the “smart person”, “the politically upright”, or whatever else one may choose to describe him as. He served his purpose as some sort of “smarter” counter to Stan or whatever you may wish to say his purpose was meant to be. Though, as time wore on, I did come to enjoy him more as a character. I don’t really have a ton to say on his general canon. It’s neat. Though, he is definitely a character I have beef with the fanon of and tend to just be hesitant with most Gregorys due to most never being half decent to my Mole.

How they play them: Decently. It isn’t the worst Gregory I’ve seen by any means but I don’t feel particularly attached to or fond of him.

Gregory is decent in the fact that he actually gets his hands dirty. That is some points in my book. He doesn’t treat Mole like some dog he can go and have fetch things for him. Blaze’s Gregory seems good in what he does, working hard and what not. He seems to care about people, his causes, and what he believes in. How he’s written regarding that, from what I’ve seen, does seem admirable. His dedication and care is shown.

I haven’t seen a ton of her Gregory, at least through my own interactions, but some things about him feel strange to me or make me squint. Like how he appears to do things that feel fairly ooc at times. How, from what I recall, isn’t meant to be like the prissy or egotistical sort of Gregory interpretations but then does things that those sorts would. The Enjolras basis mentions also are cause for me to squint. Often times it makes me feels Gregory is less of his own character and more so just meant to be an altered Enjolras when, really, Gregory is very much his own person. He is one of the only two out of the seven foreign kids in total to be decently disconnected from his basis after all. But perhaps that’s all the fault of differing views and lack of interaction yet.

Overall, I find Blaze’s Gregory decent. Nothing notable out of the other ones I’ve interacted with outside of what I’ve stated. But my opinions will likely change as more interactions occur. We haven’t interacted much, after all.

The Mun: No strong opinion, I guess. Used to be immensely uncomfortable with Blaze but got over it. I’m sure she’s a decent person though. Kind of “hrm” at the posts that felt like they were made because of my own posts or me in some way. But overall, no strong opinion anymore.
