Healthy relationships really have no place in the vampire world.

The healthiest relationship we've seen so far is claudiline, and it was it's own demise. Madeline cares for Claudia. Not in a possessive way but truly. She wants her to be happy and have as much good as the world is willing to give her. She doesn't want to stop Claudia from killing herself (re: the conversation with Armand) She wants Claudia to WANT to live.

Where lestat and Armand locked Louis in to "protect him from himself", Madeline went away with Claudia and showed her around. Where Armand dressed Louis in drab black, Madeline made Claudia sunshine yellow dresses.

Where lestat tried to distance Louis from everyone who cared about him (his sister, miss Lilly...etc), Madeline sensed how much Louis cared about Claudia, and suggested they all meet up in a bar on a double date because yeah, she'll endure Armand's company for an evening, she bet it would make Claudia happy.

We've been burying our meals outside Saint Denis. Flowers are starting to pop out of the ground. Lavender, sweet iris, peony. Flowers growing from the dead. Cold things becoming warm.
