When I was younger, like from the ages of 11 to 17, I was so obsessed with Werthers to the point that my nan would get me two bags for Christmas every year and they'd be gone by boxing day. Yeah things are still tough financially and I’m still under incredible stress but six months ago my old boss made me cry when she threatened to fire me over sending an innocuous email without her permission, and yesterday my new boss made me cry when she surprised me with, in her words, “a Hallie appreciation lunch” because she’s so thrilled I’m here and I’ve exceeded expectations in every way, and we sat and talked and ate delicious food for over an hour and I went back to the office feeling truly wanted
