I know that ntflx latam's catalog is... pretty lame comparing it to perhaps crunchy and/or whatever it is on anime onegai (i still groan at this freaking weeb name :'D ) and the american ntflx catalog... but I BEG YOU to look the other stuff that isn't MAINSTREAM WSJ/J+ titles on ntflx. You and Akiko are a powerful and, at times, scary couple. Between your mood swings and her…medical inclinations, a lot people are timid when approaching you.

The Forgers Have a Movie Night

I think this is very fitting for my first SpyxFamily hc, but was listening to some instrumentals while doing work and “Married Life” from Up came up. And because I’m currently obsessing over sxf, this is where my mind wandered off:

It’s the weekend and the Forgers have had a long, hard week. 

Twilight probably had to deal with several side missions, Yor had to deal with the normal drama at city hall plus taking care of Anya and Bond while Loid was out late on missions (perhaps even dealing with a client from Shopkeeper), and Anya had multiple tests/assessments to get through.

Instead of going on an ooting, the Forgers decide to stay home and take it easy by having a movie night together. They’ve already watched 2-3 movies and Loid and Yor are getting tired, but Anya insists that she isn’t ready to go to sleep yet and wants to watch one more movie. They concede because it’s "family time” and the next movie that’s on the television is Up. 

Despite Anya’s insistence that she’s not ready for sleep/bedtime, she’s out within a few minutes of the movie starting, snuggling with Bond, who has also already fallen asleep. Now it’s just Loid and Yor who are struggling to stay awake and left watching Up. Loid tells himself to give Anya 15 minutes to wake up and go back to watching the movie, and if she doesn’t he’ll carry her to her room and movie night will come to a close. However, before those 15 minutes pass a certain sequence from Up plays, the “Married Life” sequence tracing Carl and Ellie’s lives together.

While both were only partially paying attention to the movie and partially dozing off beforehand, during this sequence, Twilight and Yor have their full attention on the movie. They both seem to be in a world of their own while watching the lives of two animated characters play out in front of them, not looking towards the other or even aware how fixed the other also is on the movie.

Twilight thinks to himself what a sweet but simple view on love and relationships. With this sequence serving as a reminder, Twilight once again has to push any thoughts of the Forgers being a real family or staying forever with them away since this is all just “for the mission.” But perhaps, he’ll let his mind wander just this once about what could be?

Yor on the other hand might think that this was the type of love Loid and his first wife shared. Her thoughts start to turn and she begins to wander if there’s a chance she’ll ever experience this type of love herself. She’s “married” to Loid, but technically it’s a cover for both of them. And with her job as an assassin, Yor’s not sure if this awaits her in her future, with Loid or with anybody else.

The music and the sequence come to a close while both are still lost in thought and in a world of their own as the movie continues. After a few moments, Twilight pushes away all of those thoughts and gets up to turn off the television. He tells Yor that he’s gonna take Anya to her room, then head into his own room and thanks Yor for staying up and for a much needed, relaxing evening. As he picks up Anya to carry her off to her room, maybe he wants to add more, maybe not. Yor is still collecting her thoughts as Loid takes Anya back to her room, but when he comes out and closes her door, Yor gets up and goes to Loid to return the thank you for a relaxing evening. Twilight thinks maybe it’s the sleepiness, but Yor thanks him again for welcoming her into their family as she enters her bedroom for the night. Finally, Loid retires to his bedroom where he will spend the next few hours pondering over all of these thoughts.

NOW LET'S TALK ABOUT THIS WONDERFUL ADDITION TO THE FORGER SPOOKFEST!!

Okay, so will you guys judge me if I say I never watched Nightmare Before Christmas.? lol I guess I must have seen fifteen minutes of it as a child before falling asleep, so forgive my ignorance. Anyway, with my bare knowledge of this movie, I have to say this poem is truly amazing!! Poetry as a whole is such a difficult and profound type of writing to me, so seeing people do it with plot is just too awesome for my heart.

Twilight as the Storied-king-of-Fright was an awesome take and I must admit that I thirsted for him badly at the mention of the piercing blue eyes. As the gossipy neighbors in the latest SXF chapter said, ladies be flocking around Loid like flies, so from now on I'm a Fly™.

Yor was so sweet here, I'd love to see her in a Sally design, it can be a nice association of patchwork/needles right?? My favorite line was when she said that they were both scarers, it brings out the fact that in canon Twilight and Yor are indeed people to be feared and scary, but the whole family setting take this murderous aura out of them.

Talking about family, I missed Anya greatly in this one. As things were progressing oh so sweetly and romantically, I was wondering "ok so when will Anya show up to mess the mood" and unhappily she wasn't there. It's okay, though, it's nice to see genuine Twiliyor content once in a while and this one was *chef's kiss* brilliant.

Forger Spookfest Poem- Nightmare Before Christmas AU

@gonnahypatia (lmao I just saw your ask) I posted this earlier but took it down to change some words and stuff. Now I will copy and paste everything again *ahem* I know you didn’t directly suggest this but all your Tim Burton AU’s got me thinking and I came up with this. Somehow you always get us motivated to make shit, so I dub thee Official Den-mother of Forger Spookfest. May you wear your title with honor and pride XD

I’m debating whether to put this on Ao3 or not since it’s just a poem and I don’t wanna flood the place with my stories, but regardless I plan on dusting this bad boy off come December (two holidays with one fic, booya!)
