oh i made a post on reddit and found out i am NOT the only person struggling w/ flashing lights & high-contrast stuff post-concussion. all my googling was like "PHOTOSENSITIVE EPILEPSY!!!!" which was legit terrifying 2 me as someone w/ health anxiety and ocd lmfao..... but it's just nice to know. like. other ppl [have] struggl[ed] w this too. and i got recommendations for stuff i can do re: that AND my other lingering symptom (motion sickness) so that was cool. thank u internet :)
#it's just rly annoying bc like. flashing lights never bothered me b4 my concussion but they do SO BADLY now and i haaaate it#one person put it into better words for me but like. high contrast stuff rly sets it off for me too. like going from a scene that's very#dark to one that's very bright. like cutting back and forth. that sort of thing#where it isnt Flashing necessarily but it is simply by the contrast of it all...#i literally flashbanged myself just last night sitting in bed by switching from a firefox tab that had a dark background to one with a whit#background lmfao..... it's so fcking annoying. literally makes my brain malfunction.#apparentlyi can do physical therapy to help my....vestibular system?? or smthn. to help w the motion sickness#and ANOTHER commenter mentioned that maybe if i work on that then the flashing might bother me less too#like there's no real reason for them to be connected but it was more of a It'd be neat if it did! thing ksdhfdskjf#anyways concussions suck dont get one!!!!!#i got mine literally almost 2 years ago now and here i STILL AM.... it wasn't even a bad one necessarily#i wasnt playing a sport i didnt get in an accident i just ran into an open cabinet door at mach speed and got whiplash from how hard my hea#went back. and now here i am 2 years later and i can't look at flashing lights without my brain BSOD'ing. wack#txt

#really happy with what ive managed to find and collect so far. and I recently got lights for my cabinets which helps me appreciate it more#my last big flower merch haul was in november. from xianyu (chinese secondhand site)#there's so much cool flower goods on there! I also have a kafu fumo on the way from there too. if all goes well#anyways it sure has been a Year#hoping 2025 will be better. at least in small ways.#I spent most of this year rotting mentally and buying stuff to prep for next year#but I have a bad feeling im not gonna be able to collect much next year because of tariffs#so ill cope with making customs I guess. and getting back into creative hobbies (yay)#maybe ill even become cracked at tuning in a few months. who knows#meow.txt

#4-5ish months i’ve been the main (i’m pretty sure only) person cleaning every weekend#my only days off and through the week clean dishes or load up the washer and pick them up#occasionally someone else w load it but not pick up or vice verse#november i lost all motivation i ask for help i get told they’re tired or they work or later or im met w but i did xyz the other day blah bl#blah blah yk#i tried to clean in nov but i just can’t im tired it’s constant that im cleaning i want to do things not go from work to home for chores to#also cook and then clean up dinner because i also have a job#and when i do something im not like OH well i did xyz! so i won’t do that …no i just say okay because why bring up what i already did things#need to be done why are you arguing with me like we want to bring up receipts? i’ll bring them up#i’m cleaning up clothes that’s not mine i’m cleaning up shit piss ans throw up of a dog that is not mine i walk said dog occasionally#but nope not the other way around why would they do any of that when it’s not theirs ?#i ask them to pick one day to make dinner nope i can’t i’m busy i have xyz …okay i have work gym appts errands too#and since i have cleaned in like a month or over it’s a mess but no one has taken action to fix that it’s just it’s messy in here#that’s why i hate if you need help ask. .#I ASK I DONT GET HELP you ask i help but god forbid i ask#‘but you clean weird’ ‘you do a deep clean’ it’s a regular clean i clean to clean not to light dust and see it be back to how it was in a#day or two. deep clean is i’m up in a ladder cleaning the vents cleaning cabinets shelves i can’t regularly reach or are hard to get to and#honestly that should be a monthly thing#weekly is wipe down appliances. sweep swiffer vacuum and mop the floors. wipe countertops and flat surfaces. flip the chairs around tighten#bolts wash the tablecloth clean the table. vacuum the couches lint roll any cloth surfaces. clean or wipe down the stove/microwave depending#on how dirty. clean bathroom tub toilet sink floors mirror. this is not a deep clean w that you get the fridge and dishwasher windows move t#the furniture to clean under that. i am tired and i dont ever get to finish everything#bathroom stays last and weekends are only so long i also go to the gym or need to go to the store or have ot to do#and ik i brought up here that im depressed but im not bring that up to them because regardless these things need to get done be it a the#worlds slowest pace but does need to happen and i don’t want to use that as an excuse because i will just let myself lay in bed and not show#shower or move does this mentality eat away at me maybe idk but it’s what my parents gave me and it’s not changing i don’t think so here we#are.#we can wait another month and i might be on the up but ill be down again so 🤷♀️#like actually i can use a lot of things as an excuse but that doesn’t help anyone does it ?

somehow these current roommates we have are the worst that ive known yet and last semester we literally had a girl who smoked cigs IN her bedroom. list of grievances below lol
#first of all they turn all the lights on all the time. the other day i was hanging out in the living room w one light on bc it was light#enough outside thru the windows and one of them walked in and flipped another light on automatically. then walked through#the living room right to her bedroom... girl youre not even using this room and i was clearly fine with the light level??#they always have all 3 kitchen lights on when they cook and dont turn them off plus none of them have lamps#they all use the Big LED Ceiling Light in their bedrooms which is baffling to us#they dont know how to organize the kitchen and they took up so many of the cabinets with bullshit. like 3 pans here a few plates there#we have like 4 cabinets worth of food and even more of pots and pans and shit bc this is everything we own#and we cant afford to use disposable everything like some of them do#theyre always leaving the fridge open while they cook too and i have to physically hold myself back from becoming my mom#and yelling at them to close the fridge when theyre not actively getting smth out of it!! like theyll stand there cooking and have it open#for 2 minutes straight#theres only room for one water filter pitcher in the fridge and one of them brought a big one which is nice but theyre always forgetting to#refill it which defeats the purpose of even having it#and they always somehow start cooking right when we decide we need to eat#one of them sent this long sort of condescending post abt ants and how it stresses him out when the kitchen is messy so we all need to clean#more and try harder to keep ants away as if 1) ants care at all abt dishes in the sink or stains on the stove and 2) as if the ants will#stop coming around if theres no food out in this building where there are notoriously always ants even on the 4th floor#(we are ground floor this time) and 3) as if he isn't one of the people leaving food around and not taking the trash out#nobody responded to it in the groupchat lmao bc he sounds like a fucking cop!! and is dating an rotc guy??? and also is a streamer or just#likes to play games on vc with friends bc hes always very loudly doing that#but obviously we have sex all the time so we're at a sort of loud noise stalemate where neither of us can complain abt the other#to be clear this is in no way the absolute worst situation theyre nice enough people and havent reported us for anything (they both work for#student housing -_-) and generally things go okay in the apartment#but like. ive never been this annoyed this often with any other roommates#ALSO someone spilled soy sauce all over our designated level of the fridge door where we had all our little bottles of stuff#but also a carton a Paper Carton of milk and a pack of butter standing upright which soaked up the soy sauce and for several days#even after id cleaned the bottom of the carton the best i could i swore it tasted like soy sauce from it soaking into the bottom or smth#but it's still all over everything in there bc it was so much it like. pooled in there and splattered on everything#like. u see that happen u clean it up wtf.??#anyway i just felt like i needed to complain and see if im being silly or if these things really are so annoying

i don't have any good pictures but i'm almost done painting my bathroom :D i painted the walls this green which i was a bit nervous about because i've never had any sort of green room period but it's really growing on me
#in my lighting its a bit more blue/cool as well not quite this green#either way eons better than what it was before which was this really depressing gray-purple color#so i feel a lot better in the space as well#i might also paint my cabinets since right now they're this really orange faux wood which i kind of hate#maybe like a dark charcoal or something. white seems too boring and there's already a lot of white in the room from the toilet/bath#the next thing i want to change is the flooring its like. not tile but like a laid sheet fake tile thing? idk#its so old its peeling at the edges :| but that's all over my house so if i change the flooring i'm gonna do all of it at once#so that's very much a later when i have more money project#0.txt

#Speedpaint#The lighting is borked for a little bit in the begining of the painting portion but it gets fixed don't worry#(I mean yes the lighting sucks even after getting fixed but there's nothing I can do about that man)#(It's winter the sun has gone extinct I'm doing my best)#From the thumbnail you may notice the upper cabinets and the lower cabinets are nowhere near close the same color#Fun thing: I had a specific plan for a color palette for this painting#And I messed it up the second I started painting the lower cabinets#And there was no fixing that mistake man. Not traditionally#I knew I had to go and edit that color to fucking oblivion digitally so I did not even bother trying to match the color of the uppers

#speculation nation#past few weeks have been a weird ghost town in this building#bc several people moved out. including my across the hall neighbors#ppl have been moving in. i hear noises again. neighbors...#nothing terrible rn. i dont share any walls with neighbors. just my above neighbors.#and the ones across the hall. can hear them.in the living room. in my bedroom it's quiet though.#so long as the new upstairs neighbors dont flood my kitchen with toilet water like the last ones did..then they are already better.#low bar..unfortunately there is precedent.#wish i was making that up. i am.not.#not even the only.time my unit has been flooded by the upstairs neighbors. tho the first time wasnt their fault#burst water heater. flooded my hallway. unfortunate but understandable.#im less pleased about the massive flooding event spreading across my entire kitchen and even into one of my cabinets#bc the upstairs neighbors clogged their toilet and it was just Free Running :]#never a good thing to come home to the sound of falling water. and a genuine waterfall coming from my overhead light.#anyways. i can take a little noise. just pleaaaaaaase dont flood my kitchen again pleaaaaaaaaase

when i was put under for wisdom teeth surgery I kind of woke up during it, I just remember giggling uncontrollably while they were operating before I heard someone shush me and then I went back under
#they also gave me a light sedative beforehand so I was just staring at the cabinets high AF trying to get the nurse to put the IV in so it#didn't hurt bc it kept pinching and then the intern came in and asked who my heart surgeon was when i was 1 and I had no clue#i also had to sign forms while under the light sedative which felt off to me but whatever I healed fine#the ride home from the hospital was some of the best sleep I've ever had#fell asleep leaving boston woke up halfway home fell asleep and then woke up at home fastest 2 hours in my life

hate when you're reminded of something stressful right before bed and it's stuck on ur mind. like i can't do anything about that right now please let me sleep
#I still owe $6k to my shit stain of a university but I'm trying to get my housing charge waived because of all the bs#and health code violations ive dealt with#I'm abt to threaten a lawsuit for sure#mold issues that never get dealt with#maintenance requests that are never completed#lack of AC in 90 degree weather#paper thin walls that make it impossible to block out the sound of ur neighbors#and my first semester my neighbors had their tv up against the shared wall and played their tv all day and all night#had to play yt videos at night to block it out but if i woke up at 2 am i wouldnt be able to go to bed bc of the soubd#sound#so id have to queue up another video#over and over again#and despite my calls to the RA on duty nothing was ever done#also for some reason i heard every loud noise from every apartment in the vicinity directly above me#despite me living on the highest floor. like i genuinely thought ppl were hanging out on the ceiling#but bc of my autism and the nonstop onslaught of noises i genuinely was losing my mind#and i began to hate going back to my apartment#i talked to someone and she was like well u live in the apartment u have to pay for it!#like girl these apartments are forsaken by g*d#if he were real#nothing works. stains everywhere. residue on the floor and counter tops that wont scrub off. broken lights#my sink cabinet was like. stained brown and orange lmfao like it looked disgusting idk#constant water dmg bc these complexes were built in the 60s and not updated since#and theyre incredibly expensive despite living in a sketchy town in indiana#awful#college is a scam#ugh
