Lena thank you for the fucking food (scara post). I didn't even get halfway into the story before I started laughing. Scara entering an early midlife crisis because of reader's colourful pens took me outtttttt like he is such a lil bitch

Other than that, I've been WAITING for a post where Scara goes ham on a darling that technically never did anything "wrong" and always treated him nicely/fairly, with nothing being good enough for him 😭

That's what makes any situation with him so hopeless, there is literally no way out. The man is so neurotic that he will just interpret literally anything you could possibly do or say in a way that fits a narrative he's already constructed in his head. He internally exaggerates everything you say and do so that any negative comment or action is a million times worse than it actually is, and even the nicest of your words have some hidden negative meaning or implication.

Moreover, you don't need to do or say anything at all, just your existence is enough to be annoying and being annoying is enough to warrant a fixation. It can be any demeanor too — he'll find a way to interpret it as irritating, and fixate on retaliating for your crime of annoying him, all while you are barely aware he exists.

And once that fixation is established, because it's based on something so broad yet so vague as your very existence, there's no way to undo it. It's also in large part that specific bitterness guys get where they're attracted to some girl that feels unattainable, so they take the “if I can't have her then she can't be happy” mentality.

But YES he IS suuuuuuch a little overdramatic bitch about everything even vaguely feminine darling does you're so right. For starters he’s a naturally severe case of cute-aggression, so anything perceived as cute automatically earns an intense reaction.

He’s also very much stuck in the immature boy mentality where anything he mentally associates as feminine is icky and dumb. Yet at the same time, he's attracted to it, so being attracted to and annoyed by the same thing creates a lot of internal confusion and frustration, which you WILL bear the brunt of.

Which is so much worse with e-girl darling because you know darling is gonna have the e-girl staple items. The sanrio-themed everything. The cutesy phone case. The cat-ear gaming headset. All the frilly lacey clothes and underwear. Awful. A complete waste of money. Why does it look so cute on you and why does that make him feel like punching a wall.

Even in consensual interactions, he has a comical degree of aversion and repulsion. No he's not sitting on your bed or borrowing your pen or using your controller. It's PINK. Are you out of your mind. Ugh.

happy belated halloween 👻 not gonna lie, i have never watched monster house before . so i’m basing this off of what i’ve read so far & my very limited knowledge (+ allusions to ghostface)

the idea of monsterhouse!scara is actually really cool when you think about it. scara, a spirit, merged with a house and is only killed once his ‘heart’ is destroyed. (and the fact that in movie, the heart is the furnace) .

but in my twist, what if instead, scara was your late ex fiancé . a vengeful spirit buried under thick cement & attached to the very house you once constructed & treasured together

visiting back, you already heard of the absurd rumors surrounding the house: the light flickering despite no electricity running, the mysterious noise that emerges from the house, weird sightings of a man wandering around - the list goes on.

guided by nostalgia & bit of grief, you decided to rent the place - pricing was unsurprisingly cheap & you were reassured that will still be able to care for it.

little did you know that you would become very the trigger that brings scaramouche’s spirit to wake from slumber. the furnace seemingly lighting up on its own the moment you stepped inside.

but then weird occurrences started to appear — missing people mysteriously ‘shallowed’ up by the door, the windows hastily cracked open, almost like it is staring at you as you leave, and a cold touch brushing over your skin.

it wasn’t until you hit your breaking point that you decide to investigate if you are truly out of your mind or the house is becoming a sentient being.

(you eventually find out that in order to destroy the spirit was to destroy it’s ‘heart’.)

but before you could do so, a phone ring cuts through your thoughts.

you stared at the screen, the caller ID labeled under: UNKNOWN

a snarky, uncannily familiar cold voice emerges out from the speaker - maybe if you listen closely, it also echoes across the hallway: “finally. you don’t pick up quick, huh? i’ve missed you.”

i already malded but sethoscara... hmm... (moderate haterisms below)

generally i find cyno and sethos more interesting, and not just as a ship i swear, bc like. ok i understand sethos story 2. "busy little bee" vs "bow down worm". the whole "you're not just a normal guy, aren't you?" exchange and how wanderer seems to have met the one (not so) normal human who might be able to level with him without knowing anything about his past. yeah thats a cool dynamic and all

but based on flat material, sethos is introduced in cyno's sq2, has two stories mentioning him—they seem to have gotten closer post story quest, gahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

why do i not see more sethos and cyno posts focusing on them and them alone pls.... the most popular or frequent depictions as of now are sethos as a 5th (?) wheel to cynonari and haikaveh. i understand ppl not wanting to take apart their ships and whatever, but oh my god. their visual designs, the entire thing that happened when sethos and cyno were children, how they grew up, how that ties into the separation between the rainforest and desert, etc. also sethos's story 5 is lit like '[Sethos] couldn't tell you exactly what he'd forgotten. Perhaps his birth parents, or the faces of his childhood friends. Fortunately, with the exception of Cyno, all of his childhood friends lived at the Temple of Silence, so learning what they looked like again wasn't difficult.' helloooooooooo baggage? sethos picking up hearsay abt cyno's past and maybe glimpsing him in passing in sumeru, while cyno knows nothing about him??? they both knew each other once, and then forgot, and then sethos/bamoun engineered it so they'd meet again.... like bro

i have a bunch of other gripes about sethoscara from scara's POV and the thoughts he'd have in canon (eg why does the current fandom portrayal seem to skew towards fluff and cuddling where sethos is golden retriever maxxing and scara's a tsundere) but yadda yadda ships are people's sandbox for potential so i'll try not to yap about that... basically: what im saying is please give me at least one [fan creation in any medium] exploring sethos cyno's past please. LISTENNN the bamoun cyrus sethos cyno storyline was underutilized in his quest they need expansion i'm begging

ok why did i bring sethoscara into this? bc fandom has the tendency to have ship tunnel vision, and this could be doomposting, but i generally find that when there's one dominant ship for a character (especially if they're a 4* lol 💀) creations/thoughts/posts about the rest of their relationships start dying out one by one :\\\\ ok yapping done good night everyone
