He'd read The Little Prince last night, that's how he learned of such marvelous grandiose arbors. Trees that breach the mind, that grow tall enough to shadow Wayne Tower. We wonders if Bruce will take him to Africa one day, he wonders if his mentor will show him the baobab trees. If they'll feel cool and brambly under his palm.

Jason lands on the Museum's roof. Prying through the skylight watching as you kneel by your mentor, your mother. Greedily shoving colorful diamonds into fabric bags. Even in the dark, he's half mesmerized by the fluid motion of your body, the way your muscles flex so smoothly. His breath hitches in his throat too engrossed in the moment.

It's not the baobab trees that Jason thinks of when he sees you.

Instead, it's a rose. Not roses, plural, rose singular. As the rose the little prince had. The thing he cherished more than his own life. The thing he'd die for over and over again.

He hears Bruce land behind him. The moment gone evaporating like morning dew upon red petals. He straightens, ready, he has a job to do, a father to impress.

And maybe that book, that dreadful, wonderful book had been his first taste of bitter love. Through the pages and the words spoken between Prince and Rose, little Jason Todd had savored his first dose of obsession.

You kick him in the shoulder, sending him flying to the skyscraper edge. Jason swings himself up just as you are near to inspect your prey. His knees cage your hips and he uses all his force to push you down.

The stars blink overhead, paparazzi cameras catching a private moment between two masked kids. "Hello, Robin" you purr clawed gloves idly tracing his arm. Jason tries to smile to smirk, to flirt back."H-hello Ki-tty". But the blood rushing to his face has him stunned he can't breathe. Why do you look so pretty like this? Laying on your back staring up at him with big perfect eyes. You tilt your head and meow.

"Hey, that's Miss Kitty to you"...

He likes this new side of you, likes the mace you wield like a whip. It looks like yarn, soft and delicate.

The punchline lands at the same time as the flanged head crashes to his ribs. He thinks they shattered, cartilages cracking, freeing the marrow from within.

So this is what love feels like. Pain that rages from the inside sharp shards piercing soft organ tissue. So painful it tickles and you can feel the blood pooling in your mouth along with all the words you long to say.

No wonder the little prince kept going back to the rose. No wonder he found euphoria in the prick of her thorns.

He struggles to his feet and jumps, as high as he can. His side bruns begging him to stay down. Be he can't, he won't, Bruce wouldn't, and Alfred will find a way to piece him back together. So he takes flight flipping through the air, out of your sight.

For a moment you're stunned lackadaisically twirling your mace like a ballerina's ribbon wand. And even though he's mid attack Jason can't help admiring how ethereal you look, like a lion cub out on her first hunt.

Jason's knees land on your shoulder blades, his weight making you fall on your stomach with a pained scream. Your mace rolls away, thank God, that could have gotten too messy he thinks. Jason tugs hard on your cat ears, pulling back your head and exposing your neck to point a Batarang at your throat. "Here, kitty, kitty" he mocks, playful cadence laced with derision. You hiss out in pain as he brings his head closer. He looks so handsome upside down, like the pretty birds that sing on the balcony.

It's a split second, you raise your head, and the Batarang's wing punctures your collarbone. Your lips push on his, hollow but sweet. You feel his body go ridge his hold on his weapon lost. Still, you persist not breaking your first kiss...

You guess it's his too, you hope it is. Only when you feel his lips push back do you force him off with all your might. Grabbing your mace and jumping to the next rooftop. What is this excitement, so raw, so frantic?

You don't stop running until you make it home.

You don't look back, scared he'll see the bright pink dusting your cheeks.

You open the window and silently slip in.

Only to see Selina waiting in the dark.

Arms crossed and eyebrow raised.

He's baptized by blood and iron.

Broken down bone by bone.

Left to bleed out in the dark on the dirty asylum floor.

Still, he holds your name under his tongue, caged between his teeth.

His little kitten.

Sometimes he pretends you're lying next to him, gazing into his eyes as you too bleed out. Sometimes he laughs at your sarcastic quips at the dreaded clown. No dread is too light a word you'd correct. He finds you more attractive when you spill graphic profanities.

But you're not here, not really. And he can't quite tell if he's happy or not. His hand always reaches out to you. Desperate to feel your warmth, just once more...

And yet he's always met with air.

Always met by the stickiness of his own blood pooling beneath him.

He watches you from afar. Haunting the night, camouflaged amongst the shodws. The still Gotham night feels like a homecoming. A bittersweet reunion with a world that's both abandoned and forgotten him.

The arkham night swallows thickly, from behind his digilitized mask he zooms in on two figures in the distance. Swinging on metal threads, bodies coiled like snakes, latching on. One loses muscle one wrong move and they plummet to their death.

But the figures don't seem scared. You don't seem scared as you laugh at the boy wearing his clothes. No not his clothes, he's made sure to burn them all so very long ago. Instead, the boy wears red and black and yellow, he wears his symbol. But the garments are looser, not carved but built, foreign things covering a boy's body. Not armored built from years of endurance.

Still, you don't seem to mind, you scratch at him playfully as if he were a mouse on a string. You hiss and meow as he laughs and spools sanctimonious gibberish that sounds all so very Bat in nature.

Who else have you been sneaking off with? Jason makes a note to keep a better eye on you.

Jason's ironclad fists meet with Bruce's masked face.

Again and Again. He points his gun beneath his old mentor's ribs and shoots. Feel me he scream inside himself. Feel my pain. From the shadows, something pounces. Familiar nails try to dig into his chest, bypass the iron armor, and impale him.

It doesn't take much force to tug her off of him. He smashes her into the cement. Catwoman lets out an all-so-familiar meowl of pain. His boot meets with her flesh, her bones. Grinding them into the pavement, he can't tell why he wants to hurt her. Does he blame her for your disloyalty, does he want to hurt Bruce? The thoughts grow heavy as his ears buzz with rage. When he finally leaves he tosses a glare behind his shoulder watching the bat crawling toward the cat.

"Don't worry about your Kitten, I'll take better care of her than you ever could." His modulated inhuman voice promises...

It's been all so long since he's thought of roses and baobab tress, so long since he's pretended to be a prince returning to his scared beloved rose. Jason- no the Arkham Knight- corners you on a rooftop as you frantically try to reach your mentor. He watches as you twirl your mace, ready to fight. They're so much hatred behind your eyes, do you really not see him?

Your mace's head swings at his ribs, good to see some things never change, he counters the attack seizing the weapon with one hand. You try to pull it back to bring him to you. Instead, Jason pulls back and you're sent hurling into the thick metal of his chest. Your head spins as you glare up at him. His fingers wrap around your neck squeezing.

He'll find the new bird later. Crush his skull before your eyes. He'll make you suffer for leaving him. For turning your tretory.

At his base, in an interrogation room, the Arkham Knight slowly starts to peel away your sanity. Breaking your bones, your mind, your essence. Morphing you from the helpless little kitty into a bloodthirsty lioness. Whose only purpose is to be at his beck and call. You'll live for him, die for him. His perfect little pet. And once he knows he's broken your mind completely, the only thoughts swimming around that damaged thing are how to please your master. Then he'll unleash you on Gotham, watching as you tear into your mother's throat, ripping her apart with bare teeth and claws. Just like he will do to his father...

Then, and only then. When Gotham is his, he'll pull away the mask and let you see the man beneath the helm. He'll let you see the man who used to be Jason Todd.

Let me know if you guys ever want a fic or HC on what Jason ends up doing to the reader, I'll try to make it as gorey and darkly romantic as I can. Honestly rn my brain is so fired I can't really come up with anything lol. 😅😅

scoups-frowning and passive aggressive the entire time, you lowkey have to smack his thigh under the table. he’s sooo sulky the entire time you are talking to the man in front of you. also, unusually clingy, tries to literally pull you on his lap and hug you with all his limbs, almost like he wants you to hide you from the man. when you reveal to him that it’s your brother, his brain malfunctions for second before he starts blushing like crazy. immediately apologises and tries sucking up as a way to compensate for being a jerk lmao

jeonghan-oh this one. he’s all sarcastic smiles and fake politeness, you’re literally side-eyeing him the entire time. mumbling light insults into his chin so neither of you can hear it. has to look out of the window and scoff lightly any time you two make an inside joke. the reality is-he’s fuming inside, feeling mildly homicidle any time the man tries to playfully run your head. but once you reveal its your brother he’s just kind of “….oh.” and stays quiet the entire time out of the embarrassment😭

joshua-tries his hardest to be polite for your sake but he’s on his last gram of self control as he looks at you two interact. fists clenched under the table as he’s nodding along to whatever the man is saying, eye lightly twitching the longer you keep on laughing at the man’s jokes. tries to casual wrap an arm around you but it just ends up looking like a guard dog trying to protect his food. the moment you reveal that it’s your brother, he visibly exhales in relief and finally starts being actually nice towards your brother

jun-lost, sad, and acting like a kicked puppy. the entire time he’s just quietly watching you two, visibly upset. what you don’t know is that in this drama queen’s mind, the scenarios of you leaving him for the man in front of you, finding you in the bed with the man, all sorts of things. when you finally quietly ask him what’s wrong, he asks you with a visibly upset face “who is he to you?” when you reveal it to him, he’s like “oh. well anyway-“ and back to normal he goes

hoshi-dead. died in a ditch. hand across his forehead, clutching to his invisible injury on his heart and all that. in reality, he’s just a dramatic gemini. sulking, pouting, and outright ignoring everything the man says. literally hugs you close to himself while staring at the man just like 😠. when your brother finally introduces himself, hoshi is all sheepish and trying to awkwardly laugh it all like usual, but just know that once you get home, he’s going to be wailing in despair, asking “WHY DIDNT YOU SAY ANYTHING TO ME, HOW COULD YOU LET ME EMBARRASS MYSELF LIKE THAT- IN FRONT OF YOUR BROTHER NONETHELESS”

wonwoo- quietly fuming as he watches you two interact. he usually trusts you, but he’s totally confused by your behaviour. why are you allowing this man to talk to you so casually? why are you allowing him to high five you-and to keep your hands clasped together after it? why are you breaking his heart like this? quiet the entire time, thinking of all the ways to hide his body. once your brother introduces himself, he’s like “oh. nice to meet you. im SO glad to meet you, you have no idea actually” (classic emotional cancer)

woozi-oh you better hide all the knivey and forks from him because he WILL attack the man if he dares touch you one more time. actually smacks his hand away when he goes to rub your hair for the third time. is genuinely 3 seconds away from getting into a fight. you have to physically push him away and angrily whisper “what are you doing, that’s my brother!” proceeds to hide in the bathroom, texts you “tell me when he’s gone so i can jump in front of the first moving car”

minghao-probably the most normal about the whole situation😭 even if he’s jealous on the inside, he tries his best to stay calm and collected, to treat the man with respect. now, just because he’s respectful doesn’t mean he’s overly friendly. his hand twitches every time he tries to touch you, but relaxes when he sees you smacking his hand away. when your brother properly introduces himself, he immediately relaxes and tries to be friendlier. you however noticed his mild jealousy and don’t miss the chance to tease him once you get home, all of which he will try to deny while blushing like crazy

mingyu-sulky, pouty kicked puppy part…whichever. genuinely has his whole bottom lip jutted out, eyes shiny from either unshed tears or…about to be shedded tears. in his mind, the whole situation feels like a whole divorce. is so upset, even your brother gives his a look that is embodiment of “???” clinging to you, tries to nuzzle his head into your neck which you are so embarrassed about like not in front of my brother bro😭 once your brother finally reveals his identity, ggyu immediately perks up, an invisible tail starts wagging, trying his hardest to get into your brothers good graces, immediately starts calling him “brother in law”😭

dk-another kicked puppy energy. is sitting there beside you, quietly looking down at his hands that are fussing with his jeans, unusually quiet. gently redirects all your attempts at trying to include him in your conversations. actually lets a tear or two quietly slip down his face because he genuinely thinks this is it for the two of you. it takes your brother “having to go to the bathroom” and you asking him what’s wrong for him to admit his fears and cry freely, and for you to reveal that that’s your brother. once your brother returns, dk is all over him, making your brother think that your new boyfriend might be bipolar

seungkwan-oh this sassy diva? he’s going allll out for it. snide remarks, sneaky jabs about the looks of your brother, intentionally calling you “HIS partner”-all in all, he’s unknowingly embarrassing himself so much, your brother ends up having a great kick out of it. tries to be all cool and wrap his arm around you but he accidentally bumps his elbow into your neck😭 your brother has a full-on crying-while-laughing session when he ever so casually reveals that he’s your brother and seungkwan loses his absolute shit. literally bangs his head against the table in embarrassment

vernon-probably the only one who doesn’t get jealous at all, he’s just kind of…confused. he’s wondering “oh, who is this? it seems that they know each other very well….well, i guess im about to find out soon enough.” patiently waits for you two to finish talking, looking at you lovingly as you laugh loudly, his eyes literally shaped as heart as he watches you interact with the other man. once he gets introduced to your brother, he firmly shakes his hand, trying to seem as cool as possible but his eyes are open so wide as he does so it looks a bit…creepy ngl😭 like its okay bro you can relax

Hey I hope you are doing well when ever you are reading this but how do you think the 3rd year boys from twst would react to their s/o (gn reader) cuddling with a huge plush instead of them.

He doesn't exactly get why, but he feels kinda annoyed just laying next to you while you hug a big ol plushie

This doesn't feel right🫤

But then again, you look rlly happy and satisfied so he stays quiet since if you're happy, he's happy (he desperately wants to be in the plushy's place)

When you playfully kiss the plush though, that rule no longer applies. After all, his rightful spot is in your arms🫠

He nudges you. "Put the stuffed animal away."

"You sound angry." You smirk and kiss the plush again, knowing he's probably annoyed about that

without another word, he pulls the plushy out of your hands and settles down in its place

"I am a much better than that object. Just so you know." he smiled smugly, expecting a kiss on the cheek just like you gave to the plushie earlier

you kissed him on the lips instead just to see his eyes widen and his face go red ofc 😏

"I won't remind you next time." he sounded rlly annoyed. it's kinda funny how worked up he got over a plushy replacing him 🤭

this also means he won't let you get up for like.... atleast 2 hours to atone for your sins

moral of the story: don't do this again unless you want a ripped up plushie and a pissed off lion man😠

after a short while of very awkward silence...

he groaned in annoyance, begrudgingly getting up and finally picking up the sock, then leaving the room to put it in the wash

you smirked victoriously, placing the plushie away as promised and letting him hug you instead

"The things you make me do, smh." he sighed, relaxing into you 😒

"Picking up a singular sock?" you teased him, hugging him back

He didn't reply so that means it's your victory 😝

"I still stand by my opinion too, just worded less harshly." he gently puts an arm around you, stroking your back

it was only a matter of time until you gave up with your stubborn pettiness, soon you'll forgive him too, he'll make sure of that 😌

• You and Ace did NOT have great first impressions. His recklessness reminds you of your older brother, Grizz, but even HE has boundaries of "fuck around and find out". He tends to belittle and jokingly insult you from time to time just because you're different. You favor Deuce more than him.

• You knew that this guy would ditch window cleaning, so you stood outside the his classroom door and clean the nearby windows. After a while, the students that are excited to leave the boring lectures flooded the hallways to the point you couldn't see him.

• You crawl up the wall without being seen and scanned the hallways... There he is! You dropped down, grabbed Grim, and then bolted to Ace. Ace somewhat sensed your murderous aura and ran the other way. You guys chased him until the moment you reach one of his classmates.

Ace, running: "Hey! Outta the way! This monster's trying to kill me!"

Deuce: "Huh?!"

Ace: "Do something!"

Grim: "Don't fall for it! He's ditching his punishment!"

Deuce, panicking: "UUUUUHHHH!"

• Before Deuce could take out his magical pen, you tackled Ace to the ground and wrestled him into submission.

Ace: "OW OW OW OK FINE I'LL WASH THEM JUST LET ME GO!"

Ice Bear: "😤"

Grim: "Fnyahahahah! Good job, my henchman! That'll teach ya not to ditch the cleaning punishment the headmage gave ya! Now ya better wash those windows!!"

Ace: "Ugh, seriously? Can't you two just clean the windows by yourselves? Those one hundred windows should be squeaky clean by now!"

Grim: "Shaddup! It's not something me and my henchman can do in a flash!"

Deuce: "Woah... a monster- i-i mean... What did he do for the headmage to force him to wash a hundred windows?"

Grim: "He charred the Queen of Hearts statue."

Deuce: "YOU WHAT?! Ahem, I mean, that's the most horrible and the most offensive thing you did! You definitely deserve that punishment!"

Ace: "Easy for you to say...er...who are you?"

Deuce: "You don't even remember your classmate's name! It's Deuce, Deuce Spade! You must remember that next time...uhh..."

Ace: "Wha- you don't even remember mine, Juice! It's Ace Trappola!"

Deuce: "It's Deuce, not Juice! Deuce! And... You must be the magicless monster I've heard about."

Ice Bear: "Ice Bear is not monster. Ice Bear is nice bear 😠."

Deuce: "Oh, you can talk! I'm sorry, who's Ice Bear?"

Ace: "WAIT A SEC THAT LITTLE GREMLIN IS GONE!"

• Should've guessed this was gonna happen. Ace dragged Deuce along with you guys although you didn't want anyone to be involved. You chased the little monster all the way to the cafeteria and ADeuce decided to do something stupid. You were gonna crawl up the wall but they shattered the chandelier before you could catch Grim, resulting with you having minor injuries after the fall. Luckily, you got up and check if Grim's still conscious so you could smack his head.

• You got up and walked to Ace. If the headmage hadn't intervened, Ace would likely to get punched by you. The Dwarf's Mine is the only chance of redeeming your stay. You made the others come, even if you're gonna do all the work by yourself.

• You guys went to the Dwarf's Cottage. Can't find anyone there, you just went to the mine. You realize that the Overblot monster is guarding the magic crystal and ran outside. Ace and Deuce argued, you decided to take matters into your own paws. You don't have time for arguements so you snapped them back to reality by carrying both of them back to the mine. You made a plan and a makeshift axe (you really miss your fire axe). You order the three to bait the monster out so you can finish it off. After the fight, the ADeuce realize that you mean BUSINESS and take absolutely ZERO SHITS from nobody.

• Ace also realized that maybe he's been judging you wrong. You helped him avoid punishment. You gave him a second chance. You really do deserve to be called a student at Night Raven College.

• When he ate Riddle's tart without permission, you let him stay inside Ramshackle. You even prepared treats for him but a he's a bit offended when you won't let him in the kitchen. You clean the dust off the couch for him and straightened the sheets so he could sleep better. He's gotta say, he was gonna thank you but stopped when he saw you stepping into a broken down refrigerator.

Ace: "Woah... Th-thanks, man. I didn't think you'd-"

Ice Bear: "Ice Bear says goodnight."

Ice Bear steps into the refrigerator

Ace: "...Eh? WHAT THE HELL?! H-HEY, WHERE DO YOU SLEEP? THERE'S A THING CALLED BED! WHY DON'T WE-"

Ice Bear: "Ice Bear sleeps in cold."

Ace: "Oh... I think I've seen a documentary on TV saying that polar bears live in really cold environments. I didn't think the same thing would go with monsters-"

Ice Bear: "Ice Bear is not monster 😠."

Ace: "Alright, I get. But... You sure you're gonna sleep in there? The fridge is barely running."

Ice Bear: "Ice Bear fix fridge tomorrow."

Grim, yawning: "Fnyagh, are you two just gonna talk all night? I'm tired, let's sleep already!"

• Ace and Deuce don't tolerate the other students insulting you. So when Ace punched Riddle in the face after the redhead insulted you, Ace really means it. He still teases you when you say something weird or cute in third-person.

• You gain some respect from him when you fought those territorial Savanaclaw students in a game of Magift. You guys ended up in a tie. Ace also learned that Bears are lot stronger than he thought.

• Sometimes, Ace couldn't help but complain every time you offered to help him and Deuce study in upcoming exams. For a talking polar bear, you're really knowledgeable. He really should have seen your disappointed glare after he signed the contract with Azul. After you save him a second time, he doubles the amount of respect.

• He notices that you don't use a phone despite the headmaster already giving you one. You said that you'll only use that for emergencies. He definitely traveled all the way to Scarabia with Deuce just to see if you and Grim are okay.

• During VDC, Ace now thinks that having this much talent is cheating. He knows that you never made a deal with Azul other than the time where you did just to free him, Deuce, and Grim. So why the hell are you so talented? Deuce says that he's overthinking too much and told him to brush it off. You're actually pretty hard to read...

• After this much thinking, he decides that whether you're magicless or not, you're still one of his best friends.

"You let me go," James declared boldly. "You had me, Reg—you know it and I know it."

Regulus raised an eyebrow and titled his head to the side. "Being a vampire doesn't make you immune to delusions, does it?"

James laughed, taking one step in Regulus' direction—and another when he made zero moves to stop him.

"I'll humor you, love," James grinned, now close enough to Regulus that the warmth of his body threatened to defrost the chill settled deep within James' bones. "Kill me."

Regulus blinked slowly. "What?"

James didn't say anything. He had lived long enough to know the things that truly matter and nothing has ever mattered more than Regulus Black. There was something to him that made James feel alive again—and perhaps even more human than he did back when his heart was still beating. It seemed that the universe had kept James on this Earth for all these years because not meeting Regulus would have been the greatest tragedy of it all.

And if Regulus killed James? Then so be it. He couldn't think of a better way to go and he could not think of an existence worse than one where Regulus Black despised him, anyways.

"James," Regulus said his name with such care that it was hard to remember his contempt for James' kind. "What are you thinking?"

James sighed, reaching a hesitant hand into the inner pocket of Regulus' coat—sure enough, he found a wooden stake tucked in there safely.

"James," Regulus said again. "What are you doing?"

The vampire smiled sadly. "I don't want to live in a world where you hate me."

"I don't hate you," Regulus' response was immediate. It must be the truth because he did not try to stop James from taking the one weapon that guaranteed his security.

James' hand trembled as he pulled back just enough to slip the stake into Regulus' palm.

The younger man gasped as James' cold fingers lingered there, curling around his hand and guiding it until both their hands were wrapped tightly around the wooden stake. And without letting go, James dragged the pointy end up to his own chest, right where his heart was supposed to beat.

"Do whatever you want, love," James told him, voice not as steady as he had intended it to be.

Regulus stayed frozen for the longest time. His eyes were fixated on James' chest, a swirl of emotion trapped behind the steely mask of indifference. And James? His gaze never left Regulus' face.

But when Regulus finally moved, he did it all at once. The stake fell uselessly between as Regulus gripped James' shirt and pulled him into a kiss that had been a lifetime in the making.

And James kissed him back like it was all he was made for.

RL Story

This is where my Sis, Sonja, Rafi and I used to spend our summer holidays with our Grandma, when we were little . After the fight with my Mom yesterday, today started quite relaxed. We were all looking forward to this trip and wanted to spend a nice day together. For my son and nephew our trip was almost like a little adventure. We splashed in the lake, saw turtles and picked berries.

Later that afternoon, Sonja and I had a picnic with the kids. That was so funny. Lucas fell asleep while eating!!😄Almost exactly as in the picture above, just without Teddy Bear but with a slice of bread in his hand. And little Denis played soccer with Nico.

As the sun slowly set, this beautiful day ended with a quarrel like yesterday.  After finishing dinner together, I left our table for a short moment. On the way to the bathrooms I was approached by a stranger. I immediately felt uncomfortable. On the one hand I just wanted to ignore that guy- but on the other, I didn’t dare to be rude. After all he asked me for help?

Anyway, he wanted to know if I was familiar with this area? I told him that I was only visiting my grandma. Then he just started yapping... He told me he was here with his father, who has married a girl and yada, yada, yada....

Nico sat somewhere on a bench just a few steps away from us, but I didn’t notice. He watched me/us. I think he was waiting for me to end this conversation, but somehow I couldn't, bcs that guy just wouldn’t stop talking!!

Now I saw N. heading toward us. He explained to the stranger that I am his girlfriend! The guy apologized, several times! And wanted to leave. But that wasn’t enough for N. He wanted me to understand and feel, how pissed he was. 🤦‍♀️

So, he demeaned me in front of that strange guy 😒 and my DAD, who I (but also N.) didn’t see right away! And even though I was used to N.'s .....anger issues and all the fights with my Dad in the past, I got... really mad & hurt at the end.

N. asked the stranger if he finds me hot? 🤨 He wanted to know what the guy would do with me, alone? N. explained to him that I belong to him. That guy must ask him first, if he wants me! And I will do what Nico asks, whether I want it or not. That’s about how.... it came off and my Dad heard everything and understood it just the same! 😠And ofc, my Dad confronted Nico!

Nico: Come on, man, just relax. I was just joking.

Dad: You haven’t changed at all! Stop treating my daughter like a dog! Apologize to her! 😠

Nico: Stay out of our lives! I can talk to her any way I want! And since you just mentioned it, how about you apologize to me? 🤨

Dad: I certainly don’t apologize to you for trying to help my kid!

Nico: By getting me out of the way, to do Philip a favor?.. That was your first mistake back then! The second was, that you let her marry a drug addict. But well, I get it, everybody’s better for her than me... Why don't you just give up? You fucked up anyway.

Dad: Watch how you talk to me! And now listen to me so that you finally understand it! I didn’t like Daniel at first too. I threw him out of my house just like I did with you and her. But compared to you, Daniel had the balls to apologize to me AND ask for help! You instead left my daughter alone with your mother for weeks, to play soccer abroad. Then you took her pills away from her to get her clean. Like you’re a fucking doctor! And when that also didn’t work out, you got Philip into this shit, so he could watch her while you’re away!!! That’s crazy what you did!! You could have just come to me or my wife and just admit that you can’t deal with her alone.

Nico: That’s exactly what I did, man! But you sent me away! You forced me to break up with her or you didn’t want to help her.

Dad: By that time, she had already started using. And be honest! She asked me for help, not you! You broke my daughter then, and will do it now too. Because you haven’t changed at all! But I won’t let that happen!

Some thoughts from jealous Silver? Although Silver is a green flag and someone more sensible and calm unlike other NCR guys, everyone from time to time tends to at least lose their cool a little and well, you know what they say about quiet men…

Silver who sees that his crush (the prefect) is receiving admirers from other classmates, after all the non-magical student facing Overblots and the dorm leaders without a hint of magic. That somehow her presence has changed for the better in each dorm is something worthy of admiration and respect. That every time he comes to the Ramshackle dorm there are some gifts at the door of the place. Grimm receives and analyzes enthusiastically (checking for food) and the prefect receives timidly. Some suitors are bold in flirting shamelessly with the prefect which always ends in a blushing and shy mess. Grimm jokingly suggested that if the prefect never returned to her home she should consider having a suitor with whom she could have a future (always suggesting the richest ones so that he would receive more tuna in the future). The prefect who doesn't know how to handle so much attention and gifts but what she doesn't know is that Silver feels a silent annoyance that tries to silence his annoyance and insecurity, he knows that there are suitors better positioned and perhaps more attentive. But he still tries to stay on the sidelines only supporting the prefect in whatever she decides to decide. Until he had a nightmare about the prefect happily accepting one of the suitors that moment he decided to try to maybe take his shot and try his luck…

DAY 14: Potion Predicaments

Pairing: Severus Snape x Reader

Summary: Y/N gets back at Snape for interfering with the Gryffindor students one too many times.

A/N: Part 1 to the 'Trick' and 'Treat' prompts. Something a little bit different but I hope you all like it.

Warnings: Pranks. Unwilling intake of potions (none harmful).

“That man is infuriating.” I yelled, pacing behind my desk.

I was confronted with the entire Gryffindor Quidditch team, all looking at me for guidance. They had traipsed into my office mere minutes ago, after their practice was due to begin, looking forlorn and pissed off. They all suddenly began to speak at once.

“This is the third time this month he’s let them steal our time slot for practice.”

“What gives Slytherin the right to train over us?”

“Can’t you speak to him, Professor Y/L/N, he won’t listen to any of us.”

I raised my hand to silence the rabble of teenagers.

“Of course, I’ll speak to him, Miss Bell. Not that I think it will do much good, that man answers to no one but himself.”

As Ginny Weasley had pointed out this was the third time Severus Snape had allowed his students priority of the Quidditch pitch over mine, and it was threatening to become a weekly occurrence.

I knew something had to be done about the situation, but I had tried talking to him before and yet still the issue continued. Like I said, Snape wouldn’t listen to me. Short of taking the issue to Dumbledore, which is not something I planned on doing, there wasn’t many other options. But I knew something had to be done, and soon.

“I’ll deal with the issue as soon as I can. For now, move your practice to the following day, I’ll let you all know when it had been resolved.”

The team groaned collectively, and began pouring out of the room all at once.

“Fred, George. Do you mind staying a minute.” I called to the Weasley twins, a thought suddenly occurring to me.

It was well known that they had a proclivity for mischief; causing havoc around the school since their very first week here at Hogwarts. And for once I found that their particular set of skills may in fact be a benefit. At the very least it would teach Snape a lesson.

My conversation with the twins lasted no more than a few minutes before the details of my plans were set in stone. It hadn’t taken much convincing, or rather any, to persuade them into helping me. The three of us had concocted a plan that would have Severus Snape paying for how badly he treated my house.

“And you give us full permission to do this?” Fred clarified.

“And we won’t get in any trouble if we’re caught, you’ll take the blame?” George added.

“Yep, and Yep. Just make sure you don’t mess with anything that could be fatal, just things that could inconvenience him for a bit. Do you think you’ll manage it.”

“Easy.” They said together.

“We’ve been pranking Snape since first year, we know his potions cupboard inside and out by now.”

“Good. I’ll be waiting in my office once you’re done. I’ll vouch for your whereabouts.”

The twins high-fived, faces looking like they had just been given the keys to the kingdom. An exploding cauldron, filled with countless potions whose very aroma would have even the most intense effect. It was genius.

Allowing Severus one last chance to redeem himself before my plan was set into action, I paid him a visit that evening to confront him for the third time that month.

“Enter.” He droned upon hearing my knock echo through his office.

“Severus.” I greeted him, storming my way up to his desk. “We have to talk.”

The Potion’s Master barely lifted his head from his marking when he spoke.

“Again, Miss Y/L/N. What could I possibly do for you now?”

“It’s Professor Y/L/N.” I corrected. “Or better yet just call me Y/N. And you know fine well what you can do.”

“Care to elaborate?” He said boredly.

“My Gryffindors have been deprived of their practice time yet again. By none other than the Slytherins.”

“I see not what this has to do with me.”

“You are the one who gave them permission, Severus, or have you already forgotten?”

“My house require practice for their upcoming game.” He offered no apologies.

“Oh, and mine do not?” I folded my arms defensively across my chest.

“The damage is done now, Professor Y/L//N. What exactly do you expect me to do about it.”

“I expect you not to do it again. I am sick and tired of coming down here and trying to reason with you when you refuse to even look me in the eye.” Feeling even more pissed off now, I found myself practically yelling at the man.

Severus finally, reluctantly, looked up from his papers.

“If my students in my house come to me with a request, Miss Y/L/N, it is my duty to help then in whatever way I am able, as I’m sure you well know.”

“But not at the expense of other students. Don’t you see what you’re doing isn’t fair.” I threw my hands in the air, exasperated with the whole conversation.

“Unfortunately, life isn’t fair. Now if there’s nothing else?”  The professor shot me a stern gaze, his eyes finally meeting mine.

I opened my mouth to speak but came up with nothing. He had his chance. With a final sigh I trudged out of his office, feeling his stare burning into my back as I left.

At least now that last shred of guilt I felt for what I had planned had immediately been squashed upon visiting Snape. He deserved everything that was coming to him.

The following evening the plan was set in motion.

I waited patiently in my office, as I said I would, anticipating the twins return from setting up the prank.

Not much long later, they sprinted through my door; practically barricading themselves in with their bodies.

“Is it done?” I jumped up at their entrance.

“We think so.” George panted breathlessly.

“What does that mean, you think so? I pressed.

“We heard the bang.” Fred smiled.

“And his scream.” His brother added.

“He swore, like a lot.”

“A lot, a lot.”

“Is he hurt?” I wasn’t sure why I bothered to ask.

“No. Just pissed I think.”

“Good, it’s what he deserves.” I finally relaxed.

The three of us hid out in the safety of my office until we could be sure Severus would not come knocking.

The next morning Severus was not seen at breakfast. Or lunch. Or dinner.

The same happened the day after that.

And the day after that.

Eventually my stress and curiosity got the better of me and I finally enquired about his absence.

“One of the students broke into his classroom and set something explosive off.” One professor explained.

“He’s under the influence of a dozen different potions but he has no idea what they are.” Another joined the conversation.

“He’s been holed up in his office for days trying to figure it out.”

“I heard that if he doesn’t return to teaching soon, Dumbledore has been ordered by the Ministry to let him go.”

“What?!” I gasped, listening to the information my colleagues had gathered over the past few days. “Shouldn’t they have worn off by now?”

“Because of the rare combination of the ingredients, there is no telling when it will wear off. Or if it will even wear off at all, the only solution is to find a cure for each potion individually and hope for the best.” Minerva confirmed as she took control of the conversation.

“So, he has to know what they all are?” I pondered.

“He’s working through it as we speak. I believe he has already successfully identified a few.”

“I should go see him.”

“Severus isn’t the most gracious host on the best of days.” She warned. “I don’t believe he is taking any visitors at the moment. I think it’s best if you let him be for now.”

Not bothering to heed Minerva’s word, I mentally prepared to pay a visit to the infamous dungeon bat. If only because the guilt had begun to eat me alive. But first I had to speak to the perpetrators of the prank.

“What did you do to him?” I questioned the Weasley’s upon summoning them to my office.

“Exactly what you said to do; inconvenienced him”

“Nothing will actually hurt him.”

“I only meant for it to last a few hours; it’s been days.” I cried.

“He deserves everything he got for all he’s done to us.” Fred huffed.

“You need to remember boys; Severus has a job, one that he is currently unable to do. Anymore time off and he’s at risk of getting fired.”

“Even better, then we’ll get rid of him for good.”

“He doesn’t deserve that.” I shook my head.

Fred and George shared a knowing look that said they thought otherwise.

“I’ll need a list of everything that you gave to him.”

Fred hissed through his teeth, while George shook his head slowly.

“No can do, I’m afraid.”

“What?” My eyes bulged; this was the only plan I had to help Snape save his job.

“We didn’t keep a list; it was more of a fire at will situation.”

“We just grabbed anything that wasn’t dangerous and chucked it in.”

I buried my head in my hands, utterly defeated.

“Okay, I guess you’re dismissed.” I sighed.  “I’ll have to figure it out myself.”

“Severus.” I rattled on the door erratically. “Severus, open the door.”

“Go away.” He growled from inside.

“I’m not leaving here until you open the door so you might as well get it over with.”

The Potion’s Master grumbled agitatedly, but eventually, after a long pause and a few muffled curse words, Severus opened the door.

I expected the worse from his reaction, wincing I looked the man up and down, scrutinising his features.

Fortunately, there wasn’t too much different about Severus’ appearance. Well…besides his hair; being that it was now bright blue and sticking up on end. It was a struggle to stop myself from bursting out into hysterics, but I bit my lip and silenced myself knowing he would did not see the humour in it.

The worst of the prank had manifested itself in different internally; most notably the chronic hiccoughing Snape could not seem to put a stop to.

“I mean, it could be worse.” I covered my mouth to hide my reaction.

“It is not amusing, Miss Y/L/N. Once I find out who did this to me there will be hell to pay.”

“Do you have any idea who it was?” I ventured.

“The usual suspects; those infernal Weasley twins.”

“It wasn’t them.” I rushed to defend. “I mean, it couldn’t have been them. They were serving detention with me that whole evening.”

Severus hummed, unconvinced. Slowly he opened the door a little wider and disappeared back into his classroom.

I took this as an invitation to follow him in.

The room was clouded from the steam of a dozen different cauldrons all bubbling at once; their different scents mixing in the air to create an aroma of confusing smells. It was a sensory overload, but one Severus seemed used to. The thick fog of smoke didn’t seem to faze him as he continued to work away like usual. He had returned to his desk, yet again hunched over numerous pieces of parchment paper.

“How many have you figured out?” I asked.

“Seven. So far.” He ran a hand through his cobalt hair. “But I only have the antidote for two of them.”

“Hence all the cauldrons.”

“Correct. I have taken to brewing as many counter potions as I can think of so when I do discover what infernal afflictions have been forced upon me, I am able to rid myself of them as soon as possible.”

“Let me help.” I begged. It was clear all this work would be too much for one person to tackle alone, and now he had the pressure of a ticking clock to consider.

“Why would you want to do that?” He looked at me sceptically.

“Because I don’t want you to lose your job.”

Severus stopped scanning the page, and stared up at me blankly.

“I see word has gotten out of my precarious employment status; news does travel fast.”

“Let me help you.” I repeated.

Severus dropped his head with a resigned sigh.

“Okay.”

A pleased smile spread across my face.

“Budge up.” I ordered, dragging another chair behind his desk. “Let me get a proper look at you.”

“You really think looking at me is going to help? I have studied myself countless times and have come up with nothing, and I think I possess more knowledge on the subject than you do.”

“I just thought that maybe a fresh set of eyes would be a benefit.” I huffed.

Severus continued to avert his gaze from me, refusing to look me in the eye.

“Fine. Then show me what you have so far.” I snatched the parchment from his grasp. One was the inventory list of his store cupboard which he seemed to be cross referencing to account for what was missing. The other was a list of his possible ailments, a few having already been scored out.

“Tell me what you’ve found so far.?”

“Within the first few minutes I was able cure two of my afflictions.” He stated plainly.

“What were they?”

“Babbling Beverage and Elixir to Induce Euphoria.”

This time I couldn’t help but laugh.

“That must have been fun for you.”

“It was hell.” He glared.

“At least they were easy to identify. What else?”

“I’m currently brewing the cure for a few more; Hair Dyeing and Hair-Raising potions, and Hiccoughing Solution.”

“That much is obvious.”

He rolled his eyes at me.

“I also took the antidotes for both a Fatiguing Infusion and Befuddlement Draught. But neither seem to have taken affect yet.”

“Hmmm.” I scanned my eyes between each parchment, wondering why they might not have worked. “What if it’s not taken affect because you’re curing the wrong potion. What if it’s something similar like a Confusion concoction or a Dizziness Draught.”

Severus’ brows shot up his forehead, it was clear he had not considered this possibility.

“You could be on to something.”

“Do you have the antidote for either of them.”

“I believe I do, let me go check.” He rounded the edge of his desk, disappearing into this store cupboard.

Severus and I continued to work through his list for the next day and a half; with me helping him in the brewing of the cures crossing off item after item on his lists.

In that time, we were able to cure him of all visible affects, and discover almost all of the missing potions used in punishing him, which were; Elixir to Induce Euphoria, Babbling Beverage, Hair-Dyeing Potion, Hair-Raising Potion, Hiccoughing Solution, Confusing Concoction and, as we eventually discovered, Drowsiness Draught not Fatiguing Infusion.

As we sat waiting for the final cure to finish brewing Severus’ stomach growled.

“Hungry?” I asked realising we had skipped lunch.

“Not particularly. Though now that I think about it, it has been doing that a lot more recently.”

Both our eyes widened as the realisation hit.

“Garrotting Gas?” I wondered.

“It appears so.”

“Do you have the cure.”

“Yes.”

“Then go take it, quick. Let’s see if we’re right.” I squealed with excitement.

Severus dashed to his stores, and downed the entire contents of a small crystal vial.

We waited.

Silence.

“Has it stopped?”

“I think so.”

I cheered gleefully, noticing the ghost of a smile appear on Severus’ face.

“Finally! Surely that is all of them now.” I prayed, flopping back down into my chair.

“Let’s hope so.” He sighed.

Silence fell around the room as Severus’ gaze landed on me. His eyes were softer than I had ever seen them, staring at me in almost awe-like state. The weight of the pressure he had been feeling now gone, Severus allowed himself a moment to relax.

“Thank you, Y/N, for helping me. It really means a lot.” My eyes snapped to his, it was the first time he had ever called me by my first time. I returned his almost-smile.

“Really it was no bother. Actually, I sort of feel a bit guilty bec-“

The professor silenced the words from my mouth with a wave of his hand. He didn’t seem to care about what I had to say at this moment. Continuing to keep his eyes locked onto mine, he slowly made his way across the classroom towards me.

“I mean it, Y/N.” He said sincerely. “I am so very grateful to have you in my life. Your beauty and your wit are simply astounding to me, so much so I find myself struggling to even look at you when you are near. You are such an incredible woman.”

“What?” I looked at him dumbfounded, my body tensing as he stopped at me feet.

“I know I must piss you off sometimes, but I mostly do it on purpose because it means I get to see you more. You only ever seem to visit when you’re angry with me. You’re adorable when you’re angry with me”

“Severus, what are you saying?” I laughed nervously.

“I can’t stop thinking about you, Y/N.” He confessed. “I like you; I always have, I’ve just never known how to tell you before now.”

“Ah.” The penny drops. “I think we may have discovered another potion.”

Severus raised a single eyebrow.

“Amortentia. Or some other generic love potion.” I got up from my chair and started rummaging through his cupboards once more. “You’re clearly infatuated with me.” I laughed again.

“Y/N.” Severus whispered from the other room.

“Two minutes, I’m just double-checking what potion it is.”

“Y/N.” He repeated.

“Just a second.” I called back.

“Y/N, I don’t keep love potions in my stores.” He spoke louder this time.

My hands froze mid rummage.

“What did you just say?” I emerged slowly from the room.

“I don’t keep love potions in my stores. I brew it fresh when it comes up on the curriculum, and dispose of it immediately, I see no benefit it keeping it in my stores, it poses no purpose to the welfare of the school and I-“

“Wait Severus, what are you saying exactly? Why else would you be saying any of this?”

Without a word he rose from his seat, and disappeared into the store room. I stood with bated breath while he furiously searched his shelves. Finally, he emerged from the room, face even paler than usual.

“Veritaserum.” He stated simply.

My eyes rapidly searched his face for any sign of humour before understanding finally dawned.
