So as I am seeing a new little influx of honeyworks fans, likely due to the shitty herotaru anime, I want everyone to listen up.

LIPxLIP, the idol duo featured in the anime, are a lot deeper than what the anime explains. I understand that it was Hiyori's story (even though they didn't get her personality right either lmao) so it's not going to go into detail about Aizou or Yujiro. I'm fine with that. I really am.

What bothered me was the small bits we were given are incredibly misleading for new fans. The anime exists more as fanservice for pre-existing fans. Fans who read the novels, regularly watch MVs, and so forth.

So I'm going to go over LIPxLIP's stories. Their thematic importance. Their relationship, and their relationship with Hiyori. I am quite sick and tired of seeing new fans blab about them as hateful misogynists, shallow, uncaring towards their fans...and all that.

Starting off with the local hero of the anime, Shibasaki Aizou.

Back when he was a small child, he loved singing. His mother played piano and his father played guitar (his father probably taught him how to play guitar? That or he picked it up himself. I don't think that was ever specified). He entered a children's singing competition, and ended up winning.

However, a couple years later, his father began to lie about going to work when he was really going out and having an affair with (another woman? multiple women??). This led to the father and their mother, Shibasaki Yuko, to constantly argue and scream at each other.

As a result, Ken (Aizou's older brother), would make pasta for himself and Aizou, as their parents were too busy screaming at each other for hours at a time. The novels stated that back then, their parents would argue so often that they would forget to buy groceries, and would leave Aizou starving. During this time, Yuko began drinking and getting drunk- which would scare her kids.

Eventually, the Shibasaki parents got a divorce, and Yuko began to drink even more heavily. She would cry and mourn. Aizou and Ken were still children at the time. Aizou, being the young child he was and recalling how Yuko used to smile when he sang, began to sing for her in hopes of cheering her up. Of course, Yuko just threw her alcohol at him and screamed at him that he needed to shut up- he was too noisy. It's also been heavily implied that she would hit Aizou too when she was drunk.

From this, Aizou stopped singing, being physically unable to. He began living out his days without truly living, just getting by. He had friends, but didn't hang out with them or join any clubs, having become depressed and understimulated.

In middle school, when playing his guitar one day, his mother broke it and screamed at him to never play it at home again. This led to him crying and not playing again...until he came across a musical instrument store, where he meets Morita. He, one day, brings the guitar in and begs him to fix it. Morita agrees, and even allows Aizou to stay in an upstairs room that used to be used for music lessons every now and then, on the condition he returns home occasionally. So he essentially finds a second home in the music store.

One day, he sees on his phone that there's an audition to become a teenage idol, so he signs up, which is where he meets Yujiro.

He (and Yujiro) both pass due to their spectacular performances, and are told to become a unit. Aizou now has his fire back, looking forward to the future.

Now, for Someya Yujiro aka Aizou's anime arm candy.

When he was little (maybe before he was born? or maybe before he was 5??) his birth father died (unknown cause). His mother, Tae, got remarried to Someya Tamagoro. At first, things were fine. His father trained him in the art of kabuki.

Yujiro, at a young age, desperately wanted to be on stage doing kabuki with his new father. In fact, the desire was so strong, that he turned down all invites to hang out and play from the kids at his school. He didn't watch tv, he didn't do anything that would be considered a hobby. He abandoned everything that makes up a childhood to pursue his dream.

However, one day...his father told him and his younger brother, Koichiro, (who looked down on Tae and Yujiro for joining the Someya family), that Koichiro would be his heir. Yujiro tries to protest, only for Tamagoro to glare down at him coldly and tell him that he can't do it...he has no beauty.

All these years training, and Yujiro finally understands...he was never meant to stand on that stage. His father trained him for years, never truly intending for him to be on stage. Koichiro holds this over Yujiro, always mocking him and shoving him around.

As a result, Yujiro was banned from even entering the practice halls, and he became a helper of the house. He cleaned up backstage after shows, did laundry, all of that. Along with that, Tamagoro became colder to him, while Koichiro mocked him and abused him- verbally and sometimes physically. Yujiro thinks of taking his mother and running away, but has nowhere to go. He is absolutely miserable.

Of course, one day, Koichiro, for some reason, allows Yujiro to perform at a shrine once in his stead. We do not have any details on this, except that it made Yujiro happy and was clearly a one-time thing.

In either case, Yujiro too, lived a life of silence and loneliness. He tried to smile for his mom so she wouldn't worry, the one person who spoke to him. He had no friends, no hobbies, he accepted his fate of being his family's shadow, watching as Tamagoro has Yujiro's name removed from anything mentioning the Someya name, especially kabuki sites.

He was, essentially, disowned.

Tae still encouraged him to find something that made him happy...which eventually came in the form of the idol audition, where he meets Aizou.

...

NOW. That's a hell of a lot deeper than herotaru gave us. And again, it's fine that they couldn't go all into depth- after all, it's Hiyori's anime and her backstory is more simple. We can't have the idols outshinng her now, can we?

In any case, going strictly based on the novels (as the Hanipre stories are their own thing...though I like to consider them canon, but I know they're technically not), the stories of Aizou and Yujiro begin.

After agreeing to become a unit (or they won't debut at all), the two do not get along at all. Aizou mocks Yujiro for his lack of strength and stamina, and Yujiro mocks Aizou for being unable to read sheet music, Aizou finds out that Yujiro's father doesn't think he has what it takes to be an idol. So, he takes him to his secret spot and the two practice and talk.

Yujiro eventually gains Tamagoro's approval, and the two do a commercial, though they are not very well known. They want to debut.

After multiple instances of various situations (including Aizou sharing his music room with Yujiro, some bullies shoving Aizou into a pool at a live show and Yujiro yelling at them and teaching Aizou how to swim, going through an aquarium together and Aizou winning a stuffed penguin and giving it to Yujiro when he sees how disappointed he is that he didn't get it), they finally get their debut song, Romeo.

Eagerly, they practice it together. During this time, they're thinking about whether or not they should go to high school. Aizou tells Yujiro how he wants to avoid one high school in particular.

Yujiro eventually decides he wants to, because Narumi Sena inspired him. She was the one who recommended Sakuragaoka to him. Because of her, Yujiro checks the school out and runs into Aizou. He admits to Aizou he's thinking about going here, and Aizou balks. He's absolutely appalled, and complains about not wanting to go there. (Which..??? Aizou..??? No one said you had to?!) Yujiro points this out and Aizou has the flimsy excuse of "it'll be easier for Manager Uchida to pick us up".

...I'm sure. But I digress.

Filming for the Romeo MV comes, and the two are inspired by Sena's professionalism, and at the end, Aizou finds Yujiro alone and, after arguing over who is the first lip in their unit name, they share a toast together.

The MV released in February, just before high school begins, and Yujiro and Aizou are proud to see themselves on the giant tvs in town. Yujiro remarks to himself how he feels as though he can overcome anything, and how he'll still be depressed- there'll still be days he can't even get out of bed, where he wants to run away, desperately endures tears, and so on...but he knows Aizou will be by his side.

School starts up, where they meet Hiyori. In the novels, Hiyori has to actually work hard to gain their trust and friendship (I did a full novel-to-anime comparison here. I am skipping over retelling it so I can continue with LIPxLIP's story, but rest assured, I will get back to it and explain their friendship.)

The end of the year comes- and I am assuming it's autumn or so when the next novel takes place, since they mention an upcoming "spring concert" and how they've been idols for a year now.

The two boys are getting along more- though they still have their argumentative moments. They are given an opportunity to be in a play as the main characters. Aizou is hesitant, but Yujiro, who has acting experience thanks to kabuki, accepts it immediately. Yujiro cheers Aizou on in his own weird way and Aizou accepts the job as well.

However...during the first reading...Aizou loses his place and the director goes off on him. I mean, even when I was reading/translating it, I was appalled myself.

Yujiro stands up for Aizou, and nearly gets them both fired because of his "bad attitude". They agree to stay on board, but now, there's tension in the air.

Aizou's new at all of this, so most people ignore him, esp the director. But Yujiro is good at what he does, so people expect perfection from him. He's suffering as well, on the opposite spectrum from Aizou. Hell, just one scene alone, Yujiro and some NPCs did for over two hours straight with no breaks. They've been practicing in general for a while now and this was, according to Aizou, the first mistake Yujiro makes...which causes the director to scream at him.

Now, multiple times already, Aizou has ran after Yujiro and abandoned his spot, and thinks about how he refuses to leave Yujiro alone, because he was worried about him.

He even seeks help from some female colleagues (who...know about Aizou's brother and mistakes him for him. Which leads to a genuinely hilarious moment of Aizou screaming in actual horror about the idea of dating a girl, and he only thought about it "for 3 seconds". He says he talks with a few girls but never wants to be personally involved with them) to help him better himself at acting.

Eventually, Aizou realizes what he has to do and...does it. He lightens up the entire room with his humor and even earns Yujiro's gratitude and respect (though...Yujiro kind of accuses him of trying to "woo him" when Aizou insists they practice together??? and says he may start some rumors??? Hello???)

Practice resumes, and Aizou takes singing lessons from IV of Ft4 due to not understanding how to sing with emotions and not just singing something well.

Dress rehearsals start, and Aizou recalls, back when he was a child, the joy of singing. He remembers the joy when he sang in the children's competition, and amazes everyone. Things are going well.

Until...Yujiro eventually collapses from a lack of eating and sleeping. Aizou catches him and Yujiro is taken to a hospital. Aizou worries for his wellbeing until he is able to check on him. At first, Aizou scolds Yujiro for not taking care of himself, before blaming himself for not realizing Yujiro wasn't taking care of himself. He admits to himself he saw Yujiro not eating and being tired during the day.

After the first day of the actual play, Yujiro tells Aizou about the time he was able to perform at a shrine, and Aizou, now realizing the truth about how Yujiro wasn't able to perform on stage, encourages Yujiro to dance for him, even assuring him that he was the only one watching.

After the director interrupt them, the two both think about how they have a future of hope ahead of them.

OKAY.

NOW that we are now all caught up with their stories, let's break down their relationship.

The two of them fight. They always have. They have their ups and downs often, butting heads about the best way to do things. However, they both acknowledge that fighting is part of their own love. Source.

The entire point of the Romeo novel was for them to realize they can rely on each other, how they are no longer suffering alone, and chasing their dreams. Aizou realizes that there's someone who will always stick up for him, even when they don't get along. Yujiro realizes that he doesn't have to suffer alone and can rely on a partner- not just for work, but for his emotional needs as well, as he points out in the epilogue.

The entire point of the LOVE&KISS novel (aside from telling an AU story, which half of the novel is the fantasy universe) was to nip their trauma in the bud. They have unintentionally begun to rely heavily on each other.

With Aizou, he finds his passion for singing again. Not just his dream- but the pure joy he gets when he sings. He doesn't need his mother's approval anymore (though she moved to France anyway and got remarried there, so it's not like he'll see her again).

With Yujiro, he's finally able to prove to his father, his brother, and the director too that he's someone worthy of being on the stage. Not just as an idol, but as an actor too. He even performed kabuki on stage- albeit it was supposed to be solely for Aizou's eyes only.

The two argued twice in the novel, and the rest of the time was spent worrying about each other, spent helping each other, and strengthening their bond. It's because of each other that they were able to overcome a harsh hurdle in their lives, the things that blocked them from becoming truly happy with their careers.

With a bit of offhand flirting and standing by each other firmly, the two have cemented themselves as the most important people in each other's lives. Hell, they even wear the same outfts in Chapter 7 as they do in Samishigariya, where it explicitly states that they're the most important people to each other (or, at least Yujiro is to Aizou), interconnecting this novel to the song in question.

As for Hiyori...no, she was not in this novel. She was briefly in Romeo at the very end when complaining about city boys, but despite working for them at this point in time, she does not show up at all in LOVE&KISS. Hell, she's not even mentioned.

I do not think it is a continuity error. I think this was done deliberately- because what purpose would she serve? I'm not trying to sound mean, I adore Hiyori. But she knows nothing of their backstories or trauma. And LIPxLIP are not the type to blab about their past abuse. It's taken them a while to be open and honest with each other even now. The novel is about Aizou and Yujiro and their bond. They had their own spotlight in Hiyori's novels.

With Hiyori, they obviously have grown to care for her. They've helped her dress up for Asuka and confess to him, and approved of Nagisa as boyfriend material for her, even encouraging her to go for him because they know Nagisa truly loves Hiyori.

("But Lisi! You said you're going based off of the novels and MVs!" Yes, but Hiyori's newest song and Nagisa's song both show that the event in the anime happened and are firmly continuing it, so it is...canon.)

Either way, the two still make fun of Hiyori and gang up on her, but despite that, they still are there for her...kind of? It's not like she really faces any hardships aside from the bullying incident that eventually blew over. But they do support her dream in being a track athlete.

They respect her hard work. They respect her.

Even so, despite them clearly being good friends, there's still a wall between them. Aizou and Yujiro haven't told her anything about their lives...and why should they?

If you're going based on the anime, they have every right not to tell her anything. Hiyori's first instinct when Ken told her a bit about Aizou was "thank god it's not real trauma. hmm how do I fix him?" and then yelling at Yujiro that he's not hated by his family because his mother makes him lunch.

Knowing what you know now, you can see where I'm going with this? Anime Hiyori seriously butted her nose where it didn't belong and, unintentionally or not, she completely undermined their trauma. Sure, they didn't hear her talking with Ken, but they sure as hell heard her when she said Yujiro wasn't hated by his family. And not to mention that aggravating as fuck scene of her comparing Aizou's dislike of women to her dislike of squid.

Aizou dislikes women partially because of his family, yes, but it's mainly because of his trauma with his mother.

They're friends, yes, but not personal friends. Aizou and Yujiro will help Hiyori, but they are not willing to let Hiyori help them outside of work-related issues.

LIPxLIP were able to grow as people because of each other, they rely on each other, they don't need anyone else because they have each other. They enjoy the presence of Hiyori and Minami, and they respect Ft4 as senpais, but that's about it.

Herotaru trashed their stories. Omitting things is fine, but not at the expense of ruining their backstories and personalities.

I think the anime should have been longer so we can focus more on their backstories and personalities. And give us a reason to truly believe that Hiyori, Aizou, and Yujiro are friends, rather than just shrug and say "yeah, they're friends because she said she has a dream".

And no, Yume Fanfare is not for Hiyori. The song is hinted to have been sung during high school, yes, this is after the bullying incident with Chizuru. We know this because we see Chizuru crying in the song Heroine Tarumono and the exact same frame is in Yume Fanfare, which Hiyori does not appear in. They are not gesturing to her, or looking out at her in the audience. She is behind the stage. As seen in the herotaru MV. They are gesturing to each other, singing and dedicating this song to each other. Hell, it goes over their trauma. It does not show us Hiyori's dream. Yume Fanfare is AIZOU AND YUJIRO'S ONLY.

Also Yamako, the creator of them, has said so herself as well. Sooo...yeah.

You can ship what you want, but you cannot and will not take Yume Fanfare from me because a shitty adaptation wanted to be special.

Sophie Brannt: Pre-Attitudes

Aka a super long post under the cut, and pardon my English

Sophie grew up in a small rural town in Alberta and had what she believes was a normal childhood. Her family life, however, was always kinda messy from the very start.

There's no easy way around this, but Sophie is a product of controlling reproductive behavior. Sophie's father, Mark, messed with the condoms. He was 22 years old at the time, a young man madly in love with a more mature woman who was slowly slipping away from their affair. He thought that it was the only way to keep his then girlfriend with him forever. Mark was always prone to dissolve in his partners. This never changed about him: he still dissolves. 

Ruth, Sophie's mother, was about 30 when this happened. A free-spirited and independent woman at heart, she felt pressured by the small-town sensibilities and weighed down by traditions. She didn't feel like settling down and getting a family, but everyone around her seemed so persuaded that she just needs to try family life and won't ever regret it... and Mark was begging her to be his so insistently… She finally caved in and kept the baby. Her and Mark got married when she was 6 months pregnant. Mark was ecstatic: he was deathly afraid of losing "the love of his life". Ruth was nervous and doubtful, but dedicated to trying her best to make it work.

It didn't, of course. When Sophie was 5, Ruth was finally done. She had all the chances to make sure that family life was never for her; she divorced Mark, and left the town forever. She never managed to love Sophie fully, and by that point she outright hated Mark. Father and daughter were left to themselves. 

Those 5 years are a very distant, foggy memory for Sophie. She was too young to understand or remember. Both her parents seemed so distant: her mother was never quite present even when she was around, and her dad was always more preoccupied with mom than with her. She was still played with, though, and taken fun places, which she remembers fondly, but it never felt quite enough. And both parents would get mad when she'd try and get their attention in an unfortunate time (which was all the time). Sophie semi-recalls her parents fighting behind closed doors, but can't even tell if those memories are real. 

The best thing to come out of these 5 years was, surprisingly enough… Sophie's current career. When Sophie was 4, Ruth took her to a big city to try out for a voice acting gig in a toy commercial. She got it. She absolutely loved it. And the city trips became a regular occurrence: a way for the mother to escape the place she felt trapped in, a way for the daughter to bond and get validation from all the nice people at the studio who seemed to be genuinely impressed with how articulate and artistic she was for her age.

When Ruth left, Mark fell deep into despair. Somehow, he never saw it coming. He became numb and apathetic. He'd go to and from work on autopilot, maybe take Sophie to the city, maybe not, maybe do chores, maybe not, maybe bring food, maybe not. Most oftenly, he'd bring some frozen or canned food and just drop himself on the couch to stare blankly at the TV screen. He also started drinking (just beer, but often in large quantities). He wasn't an angry drunk, he'd just become even more numb. Sophie was left to her devices. She was constantly sad, bored, lonely and frustrated, always trying to get dad's attention, which he would ignore until her antics became too irritating: then he would yell. She developed a strong liking for canned beans because this was often the only thing she'd manage to get on her own, because the cans had a convenient little thingie for her tiny hands to grasp onto. She still loves them beans and often eats them cold straight from the jar, which most of her current adult-life friends find kinda gross. 

A year and a half passed in Mark's mourning. Then he remarried. His new wife, Deborah, was a 20 year old girl, a new colleague of his, a timid and tender creature, and she was instantly drawn to the sadness in Mark's eyes. It became a mission for her to make this miserable (and a shaggy, rugged kind of handsome) man happy. Mark was not remotely reluctant: he quickly got attached to her youthful innocence and tender loving nature, and they got married in a few months tops. She got pregnant almost immediately.

Deborah also tried to become a new mother for little Sophie. But it wasn't going well. She, still barely an adult herself, was trying to be overly sweet and motherly, coo and baby talk, and Sophie was so unused to this behavior that she'd get suspicious and distance herself from Deb even more. She still missed Ruth a lot, and refused to call Deborah "Mommy" on principle. Deborah would have had better luck if she tried to be friends with Sophie, not parent her, but by the time this realization hit her, it was already too late. They were neither, though on decent, even good, terms. Deb could have also won Sophie over eventually with support and attention if she didn't get her own kids so soon; caring for the small ones became her top priority, and Sophie was once again left unattended.

There was another factor that made life harder for Sophie. Unfortunately to pretty much everyone involved, she was growing up to be a portrait of her mother. Same built, same facial structure, same curly hair… It made Deb anxious and Mark antsy: he'd prefer to forget Ruth, but he simply couldn't, with her smaller copy running around his house and making a huge mess everywhere. Sophie felt this, but it was out of her control to change anything, so this hidden tension just lingered between her and her father, unspoken and exhausting, because she still craved his affection, and he found it difficult to even look her in the eye for too long.

Soon, when Sophie was almost 8, Deb gave birth to twins: Adam and Levi, Sophie's half-brothers, became the true love of Sophie's life. She loved them from minute one and never stopped ever. The three of them became inseparable: Sophie was raising them on par with Deb and much more than Mark ever even tried to. She's seen it all: the diapers, the midnight stomachaches, the first teeth, the tantrums, the first steps, the first words, the potty training, the sleepless nights, the endless colds that drove parents crazy, everything. She was the one to teach the boys how to read, write and count, coming up with some silly rhymes to engage them more. She mended their bruises, shared their tears, their childish worries. And she participated gladly, because she felt needed. She finally felt like she was loved unconditionally. And this deep, unconditional love is the most valuable feeling for Sophie in the entire world. 

The three kids achieved perfect harmony among themselves, but this doesn't mean that the rest of Sophie's situation improved. She wasn't, in any shape or form, a convenient kid. She wasn't doing her best at school. Her grades ranging from average to awful, she was, on top of it, branded a troublemaker and a smartass by the teachers for speaking up, not paying attention and being the designated class clown. On multiple occasions her dad was invited to talk to the principal about Sophie's horrible behavior. She'd get punished all the time. Still, Sophie was skipping lessons to go play hockey, talking back to teachers and getting in fist fights (none of the adults ever noticed that she was never the one to pick them: she only threw hands when she had been hit first). 

She didn't have that many friends, either. Pals, sure, playmates - yes, but nobody to form a deeper connection with. She seemed kind of feral, loud, unkempt and impulsive, so even when she managed to find a friendly peer, their parents would usually intervene and prevent them from getting closer. It seems like being the class clown would help, but she was never the dignified kind, the popular kid who's every humorous remark was met with applause; moreso the weird kid in the corner who's jokes annoy their classmates almost as much as they do the teachers. The success of any given joke largely depended on how despised and/or feared the teacher was. If the teach was the class's favorite, it was Sophie who'd get side eyes, pitiful snickers and long disapproving glares. Thus, Sophie didn't have many people to trust outside of her baby brothers, not until she went to middle school, at least.

At home she was also hard to handle: when she wasn't taking care of the twins, she'd sometimes get "episodes", as Deborah called them. Once, when Sophie was 10, she'd refuse to shower for an entire month. Her dad was furious: he grounded her, yelled at her, took away her videogame privileges, threatened to never let her go to the big city again, but nothing seemed to work. Eventually Sophie got him so mad with her stubbornness that he ordered Deb to fill a bathtub, grabbed Sophie and dunked her there kicking and screaming, still fully clothed. 

Still, Sophie had some outlets for her emotions and endless energy. She still went to the city every so often: her portfolio was already pretty impressive for someone her age, ranging from different commercials to an occasional side character role in a cartoon or a video game. Sophie truly reveled in the limited attention she was getting: there wasn't a bigger joy for her than to make a director compliment her delivery or make some experienced actor gush at how great she was doing. 

She was also incredibly fond of skating: she'd skate and play hockey until her feet and knees felt numb, and no amount of hockey puck hits to the face could keep her away from ice for long. She'd try out for the school hockey team, but wasn't let in. The coach, however, seeing her passion, directed her to his colleague who trained figure skaters, and Sophie started attending lessons, despite the fact that she was already too old to build a proper figure skating career. On ice, she wasn't the most graceful, but she was stubborn, resilient and agile enough that she and the trainer made it work. Sophie did not enjoy figure skating as much as she did hockey, but she liked learning new elements to perfection to then flex on her hockey playing buddies (she was an indispensable asset in infrequent friendly matches due to her newly found speed and dexterity). She also enjoyed physical activity: she was usually restless with energy, and hard training helped her let it out, directing it in a useful and fruitful manner. When Adam and Levi grew up enough to stand firmly on skates, she taught them the basics: another beloved common ground among the three siblings. Later Sophie introduced the brothers to her trainer. The results were unexpected: both boys fell in love with figure skating, and by the age of 14 entered international championships. 

Sophie only participated in a competition once, it wasn't a big one either, but her trainer was fairly certain that she'd get at least some recognition. However, it went horribly wrong: Sophie had a very unfortunate fall whilst attempting an axel jump, and broke her wrist. Somehow, she finished the program, but passed out immediately after, and has no memory of being rushed to a doctor. She hasn't attempted to skate competitively ever since: only for fun. 

Her biggest outlet, however, was the theater. Her small community had an even smaller public theater organized for charity plays, and Sophie accidentally got in when she was about 10 years old. She had recommendations for being a voice actor and singer, and the community theater needed an Annie for their new show, and none of the few kids that attended felt confident enough to play her. Sophie was very nervous at first, but when she finally got on stage, everything disappeared. She was as happy under the hot blinding spotlight as she'd never been before, and her future was set in stone.

Theater troupe, a small group of enthusiasts, became her second family, and the theater itself - a second home. People there loved Sophie: loved her passion, her dedication, her nervous sense of humor, her high-pitched squeak of a voice that she manipulated so skillfully, and Sophie loved them back so hard that it hurt. She finally started to integrate, willfully learning social graces, absorbing unknown behaviors and manners she'd never payed attention to before. She became what she was always meant to be - the theater kid. 

Her first true friend (and crush) also came from the theater: Tabitha was the daughter of the troupe director and herself a theater kid through and through. Mrs. Blum, her mom, would often bring Sophie home for dinners and let the girls play together, or watch movies, or have sleepovers... The two became inseparable; or as inseparable as Sophie's tight schedule would allow.

Sophie entered middle school a changed person: more sociable, confident, less strange and off-putting, with a sense of humor that was slowly growing to accommodate the friendly adults she was so often surrounded by. And she finally had a friend to share her thoughts and feelings with.

When she was 12, Sophie stopped growing. There was a blissful, short time when she was the tallest person in her class. But everyone kept getting bigger around her, and she forever stayed at her current height: 5'0, barely 152cm, which was still somehow taller than her mother's 4'10. 

Ruth still visited, occasionally. At first she'd come once every year, but her visits became more and more seldom as Sophie grew. Ruth would usually come very early in the morning and pick Sophie up by the driveway, to avoid any contact with Mark. Then she'd take her to the city for yet another acting gig. On a rare occasion (if her visits coincided with holidays or Sophie's birthday) she'd bring Sophie somewhere fun like an amusement park or movies or shopping. When Sophie was 13, Ruth asked to be called by the first name, not "Mother". Sophie complied. That was also the time when Ruth explained to Sophie the entire situation with her conception - and Sophie understood, or at least made an effort to do so. The last time she'd seen her mother was when she was 19 years old. 

Her early teens went surprisingly easy. Her feral phase ended, she learned how to hold herself, learned what people expected of her, and acted accordingly, while still managing to stay true to her extraverted wise-cracking nature: more of a jester now than a clown. She had a real friend to spend time and share interests with, a great creative outlet, a crazy youthful sort of professional success, some hard-earned pocket money for gifts to spoil little brothers with, buddies to play wild lawless hockey with, a new set of teachers, not everyone of whom had prejudices against her. She even got popular in the creative kids' circles. 

Even her family achieved peace. Or at least quietude. Sophie was not close with either her father or stepmother, but she learned how to deal with them in a manner that was comfortable and least conflict-heavy. She improved her grades and behavior enough to minimize Mark's visits to the principal's office, and generally avoided her dad's attention to be free to act however she liked outside of their small house. And she would often let her stepmom word-dump in her ear to let the woman's pent-up frustration from raising three messy hyperactive kids ease. And it was okay. Her brothers, growing up by the minute, brought her joy and love she craved so deeply. The five of them sometimes had quiet family suppers by the TV, visits to the city, long road trips to the nearby mountain lake, where they would camp for a week or two. It was okay. Sophie was peaceful. Never quite getting enough of… something, but peaceful. 

This was a shaky peace, though. Sophie still was, fundamentally, completely alone with her problems. This time it wasn't anyone's fault but her own: she didn't trust her parents or teachers enough to ask for any help whatsoever, because she knew she would probably get mercilessly derided. But she also never asked for help from her friends and the trustworthy theater adults who loved her: she was deathly scared of disappointing or burdening those whom she loved, and would never let any of them know whenever she got in trouble. She learned to get by on her own. 

But then she met someone new, fell deeply in love, and things got very messy again.

Someone like Sophie, constantly craving affection and validation, not getting attention, feeling unwanted, is especially susceptible to the famous hot-and-cold treatment. The sudden love interest would act so enamored, showering her in attention and praise, and then suddenly would become distant, aloof, disengaged. Once Sophie got a taste of the good part, she'd do anything to get more. Sophie was drawn to the promise of love that was dangled in front of her face like a carrot on a string, but never actually given. She was 16 at the time, and she fell deep and secure. The two of them quickly established a pattern: a week of amorous bliss and harmonious sweetness, a month of slow distancing, silence and building anger, a week of explosive hostility, and then a quick makeup and bliss again. Sophie was stuck on a roller coaster, horrified and thrilled, and the thrill was almost addictive. She was way too inexperienced to know what she got herself into. Her datemate probably didn't know either: only a few years older than Sophie, this person was manipulating out of an instinct rather than malice. Sophie suddenly found herself straightening her curls for her partner's liking ("Sweet, I'm telling you cause I love you. Your hair looks like a bird's nest. If I didn't love you, I wouldn't care that you make a fool of yourself in public"). Sophie gave up her skating lessons to make time for her beloved. She started to skip her classes again for the same reason. And she was glad to do so: she was so used to the thought that love should be begged for that making an effort and sacrificing her hobbies seemed like the most natural thing to her, a proof of the strength of her feelings. She loved making an effort for something, for someone. 

Two years passed in a blur. She stopped playing hockey, she rarely saw Tabitha anymore. But she felt - no, not happy, excited. Her energy found a new, unknown outlet. 

However, one day, when discussing their future, Sophie slipped into trust and said that she wanted to go to the university in the same city she worked in for years now: she already found a good Art School, and maybe… Her partner was furious. Going long distance was never their plan. They've already put up with so much theater, and for what? Only for Sophie to choose the stupidest career path known to man? Isn't her singing annoying enough? This was it. They won't wait for her to return: it's either theater or them. 

And Sophie just clicked at that moment. She, the way that she was, was never enough, and will never be enough no matter what. So why bother? 

She left. 

And right after her last graduation exam, she left her small rural town for the city. 

She was completely heartbroken: not only because her ex was now talking shit about her into every accessible ear, but they managed to somehow convince Tabitha to cut all ties with Sophie, and that was what pushed Sophie over the edge. She moved to the city because she was running, escaping, and wounded. 

She somehow had money: apparently, mom and dad, when they still were together, established a separate bank account where all her acting gig money went since she was 4. It was enough to move and to settle, to get into the Art School she chose. She started to make a new life for herself, but the city just didn't let her in, or so she thought. Everything suddenly started reminding her of her mother, with whom she just met and who left her alone despite knowing the situation. Solving her problems alone was still Sophie's only available choice. None of the new relationships worked: voice acting stuff was still fine, but her small town ruggedness showed way too much, and she was again made fun of at school, as if she never left home. She tried to land a job in all the local musical theaters, but she couldn't make it: she still didn't pick herself up from the breakup, and her confidence slipped. She was lost. And she ran again. 

This was a smaller city this time, and way further away from Alberta, but the art school was one of the best in the country. Dorms seemed just lovely, the parks so inviting, the landscape so charming. She had some great recommendations from her previous studio. She took these to a new one, and was hired as a voice actor on the spot: they needed a permanent cast member for their latest cartoon about talking magical animals. On top of that, Sophie auditioned for the role of Connie in The Chorus Line in the local musical theater. The director was clearly impressed with her singing abilities, but her poor dancing skills… Still, she was given a chance. If she learns how to dance, she will get a place in the troup. Sophie, confused and hopeful, moved to the dorms. The remnants of her newly obtained bank account were given away to pay for the first semester and for the lessons in a small dancing studio.

And that's where Attitudes start.

Game of Thrones Legacy Challenge

Because I love legacy challenges, and I love killing sims, I thought the perfect, fantastical hybrid would be of the Game of Thrones variety. I take inspiration from the books/series, but I change a lot to make for a more satisfying sims-ified generational story. After all, now these great houses are all a related family tree, not competing for power in the same land. So many things will be different, deal with it, don’t @ me. 

Okay, into the GoT Legacy challenge. 

Base rules:

Every heir must do the political career (AKA King) unless stated otherwise 

You have to go through with planned deaths

You must change castle color schemes for each main house 

Cheating is allowed to get the intended children

Asha Greyjoy

After her parents died, Asha did anything to keep her and her siblings afloat. She sold family heirlooms, downsized land, and became a criminal of the high seas. But, now that her siblings have grown, Asha grows tired of defaming her family name. Settling down in what remains of the Greyjoy Manor,  Asha sets out to create a dynasty of her own. However, they’re taking that whole family motto (“We Do Not Sow”) pretty seriously. While they do still work odd jobs as a petty criminal, she keeps insisting she’s doing it for the right reasons. Asha wants to make the world a better place than her ancestors did... But she wants to do it in a fast-track kind of way and decides to rise up in the world by marrying a wealthy spouse. 

So her new legacy begins.

Robert Baratheon

Leading is hard for Robert Baratheon, particularly with his brother, Stannis, always on his heels. Stannis thinks he’s the better leader, but he respects Robert’s claim to heir. But, despite their uneasy peace, it's always created this unspoken rivalry between the two. 

Robert taking everything Stannis ever wants, though, doesn’t help. 

When Robert becomes of age, he takes over as head of house. But along with it, he takes Stannis’ high school sweetheart. Will the two find a way to reconcile or will Stannis’ jealousy rip the two (and perhaps the entire kingdom) apart?

Ned Stark

After the internal bickering of his father and uncle that left the family in ruin, Robert’s children are all too aware of what power can do to their family. Disillusioned with ruling, Brandon leaves the house to his siblings, never to be seen again. 

While that leaves Lyanna heir, she’s uninterested in leadership and Eddard (AKA Ned) takes charge. Renaming his family the Starks, he sets out to focus on family first, not power. 

Tragedy still strikes, however, over and over until he finds himself the final Stark standing. Things only start looking up when he falls in love and creates a family of his own. 

He raises 6 strong children (including the baby of his sister, Lyanna). Though he does not seize more power in his lifetime, he couldn’t be prouder.

Sansa Stark

Unlike generations before, and much like Ned hoped, the second Starks did not grow up coveting each other’s talents or responsibilities. Jon dreamed of becoming a simple hunter, Sansa wanted to be a princess, Arya wanted to be an athlete, Bran wanted to be a scholar, and Rickon wanted to be a baker. Every Stark left the house to become their own person, save Robb, Sansa, and Jon. They figured they could maintain their kingdom on their own. 

That is, until Robb tragically, suddenly dies and it's up to Sansa to take up the mantle. As a child she just wanted to be a pretty princess and wife, but can she step up and become a queen?

Dani Targaryen

Watching the Stark house almost collapse because of all the children going off to do their own things, Rhaegar wanted to whip the house back into shape under a new name: House Targaryen. Ambitious and determined (and a little unhinged), the dragon-like siblings wanted to reclaim glory for their mother who held the castle together in its darkest hours. 

That is, until Rhaegar runs off with a pretty young thing and shirks all his duties. 

Dani quickly takes over, despite the fact her brother Viserys is always looking over her shoulder and trying to enforce his whims without doing any of the work. Dani will not let bad seeds get in the way of her family legacy, though, no matter the cost

He was a delicate, uncoordinated child who needed and appreciated the extra hand from Lysa, but now as an adult, Robin just wants to bring color and joy back into the castle. And, in turn, to the people of their kingdom

Cersei, the eldest daughter of Queen Margaery, was proud to be the next beautiful woman leading their dynasty. But unlike her foremothers, Cersei refused to take a spouse. She insisted to the kingdom that she does not need a marriage to be great. 

Though, her growing brood of golden blonde children is a little confusing for the villagers. Unbeknownst to the people, their second parent is not her noble suitor that she keeps around for appearances, but her twin brother. If their secret is ever discovered, her reign might be doomed and their nosy, judgmental, annoyingly intelligent younger brother may be forced to be the king he never wanted to be.

Doran and Oberyn Martell

Raised to be the best they can be, Doran and Oberyn were pitted against each other far too often. It created a rivalry between the two that grew insidious over the years. After decades of chaos, clashing ideologies, and lots and lots of death, both men wanted to bring the kingdom into an age of glory. They grew tired of all the broken relationships and want their house to come back together and stay strong. However, they both want to do it very differently. Doran wants to promote education, peace, and humanitarianism. Oberyn prefers expansion, freedom, and nationalism. 

The two tolerated each other out of brotherly love, but when their father dies and the crown falls to them, who will lead the kingdom to greatness?

Ryan discovers Allison, and we know how that story goes.

Lily dies, and her stepson Michael and daughter Carolina are completely homeless and once again Robin is sent in, but she brings her son with her. They spare and save their lives.

The Conan? They have had their own personal shit that’s been going on. Remember Doar, well Maxim and Deidre run it, and they Have kids together: some are adopted. They have a nice life, they even take in Layla. ( Anne your going to need to help me fill this part)

But! The one daughter that stick out is Fay! We will get back to this one!

So everyone already know Ryan is like the most elilbgle guy in the world.. he meets a girl and it just doesn’t work out. He even gets a famous mistress named Tisha, but our boy settles his scores and marries.. the moment he meets Destiny strife aka the bff of Allison.

Alright so Ryan get kids: Caspian. Alexandria. Teagan and Harper.

Teagan was gifted to him, by Emma, let’s face it she’s always going to be all about Marcus. Teagan dad Edmund, tries to kill destiny, and as punishment his brother Charles is sentence to a life of service.

Oh right back to Fay! So Fay grows up to be this awesome Keeper, who keep people/ dragons in check. She’s makes friends with Marcus over time, and takes in his niece: Katy, after Levon, is unable to provide for her.

Katy is another interesting character, because while her biological parents loved her, it was really ultimately Marcus favor that helped her get adopted into a better family.

Marcus also loses Emma to Tristian lol

Katy mom is Bailey, she get ex off. Her dad is Elems, he get ex off by Layla.

Katy does however have aunts ;) Aira and Morgan

Aira is Charles wife, and Morgan is a siren who doesn’t want anything to do with Katy.

Back to Ryan, homeboy.. does probably the most unselfish thing in his life: he trades his life for his daughter Harper. Except instead of allowing any of kids to take the throne,

because he knows none of them are ready.. he writes in order Matthew is gonna be king.

Meanwhile Caspian is just learning about himself, and makes a lot of friends like Edward, Katy, Michael and lifetime enemy of Serena.

Teagan is married off for an alliance arrangement to Barley, she marries a guy name Reed. They are happy, their baby get kidnapped and sold to Morgan by Charles

Alexandria has been in and out of the country so long, it’s only when her father dies do those wounds heal!

Alright so the final recapture moment so we can move forward:

Nichola made amends with Clement for giving Riley away. She divorces John after 28 years and marries Clement and they have twins Lena and Chris. Which she only favors Lena.

Fay moves on with Levon, and her sisters are all happy. UNTIL ANNE KILLS OFF HER MOST PERFECT CHARACTER DEIRDRE AND EVERYTHING GOES TO SHIT. Not only are they constantly attacked, and all of these characters run through the mud, including everyone in Wexford. Sigh, this is definitely tbc

Anyways, since the years passed by: Andrew remarried the famous mistress Tisha. Who lets be honest is a political power player, she’s gotten more land and titles than anyone.

Tisha has kids: Michael and Ella from her two marriages. There a rumor Michael is Ryan king, but Matthew disputed it.

Alright so.. Michael Blackwood went from the streets to the castle by keeping his friendship with Caspian. He earned back his family home, and is all happy UNTIL NICHOLA IS ALL LIKE HEYY I GOT YOU YOU WANt revenge?

Michael decides to man up. He tells his sister Caro, hey look I covered up your memories so you wouldn’t feel pain. She leaves betrayed and she in Wexford.

Charles sneaky like self declares “ Ryan left a will.” And has been going around handing out letters on whAt he wanted - one of them was to give Alexandria the power to be called head of the family.

BACKGROUND:

PAST. cassidy grew up as an only child with a mother who was a well-known real estate agent and a father who worked for a big corporation in new york. it was a very loveless marriage and at the age of 15, her parents divorced. her father remarried shortly thereafter and began a new life with a family that cassidy never truly felt a part of. her mother was always out of town selling houses and properties; when she did come back home for a bit, she always had a new man with her. constantly seeking the attention that she didn't get in her household, cassidy did her absolute best to be at the top of her class, played for and became the captain of the volleyball team at her high school and always attended and threw the most lavish parties when her mom wasn't home. she was popular but the kind of popular where she wasn't mean-spirited and was friends with people from all different social groups. it wasn't until she was 18 and it was the summer before she was meant to go to nyu for college that her small town was plagued by a violent spree of murder attacks. cassidy lost a lot of friends and loved ones that summer and almost lost her own life in the process. she ended up in physical therapy after a stab wound to her shoulder and had to take a gap year in order to rehabilitate. once she was better, she was able to pack her bags and go to new york where she attended nyu and majored in biology, minored in criminology with a specialization in forensics. she vowed to get involved in the forensics field because she wanted to be able to help victims of violence like her and make sure justice was served.

PRESENT. after graduating magna cum laude from the nyu college of arts & sciences, cassidy worked as a forensics assistant for a police station in brooklyn, new york where she was able to shadow and learn more about the forensic field. due to overpopulation in the city, she was sent to the police department in eden's town with high recommendations from the police commissioner back in brooklyn. she's been in eden's town since 2017 where she's worked as a forensics assistant here while completing her master's degree in forensic psychology through an online graduate program from nyu. she graduated in 2019 and has since been working as a full-fledged forensics technician at the local police department.

FUTURE PLOTS/PLANS. cassidy's biggest dream would be able to eventually become the head of the forensics department but right now, she's got an temporary goal of moving up in the department and earning a position as a forensic psychologist within the forensics department itself. i’d love any plots, really. she’s honestly so focused on work that she definitely needs people around her who help her get out every once in a while, keeps her from getting overwhelmed or drowning in her work.

MISCELLANEOUS INFO: her biggest secret is the fact that she survived those murders back in her hometown. it’s not something she openly talks about or likes to remember as she does have ptsd from it. she has recurring nightmares about everything that happened and despite having gone to therapy for it a lot (she still does), cassidy still blames herself for not doing more. she does take medication for her ptsd and anxiety as well as kickboxing for self-defense purposes. she has a black cat named meatball that she loves to pieces. cassidy is also brazilian-american and is fluent in english, spanish and conversational portugese.

Number3Hero!Au: Izuku’s Upbringing

Izuku Midoriya grew up in the shadows of his father, The Fire Hero: Flame Blazer aka, Hisashi Midoriya. Constantly being reminded who his father is, what he did, and being repeatedly being compared to him. What they don’t know is that his father, their hero, is a completely different man outside the super suit.

Izuku’s parents divorced when he was still an infant and this resulted with fifty/fifty custody. Shuffled back and forth, between both parents. With his father, he’s given everything a kid could ever ask for and Izuku spent far more time with the nanny than his father. With his mother, Izuku receives love and affection, spending actual quality time with her. 

If Inko does need someone to look after Izuku, she would ask her close friends for help. Asking anything from Hisashi usually ends with the man demanding to be compensated in someway.

Hisashi remarried a woman by the name of Akane, who happened to be working in his agency and very noticeable pregnant at this point, when Izuku was just two months old. Two months later, Izuku at four months old, he became an older brother to his twin brothers. 

Izuku’s relationship with his father became strained, as Hisashi preferred to be around his new family and hand him off to the nanny. Especially considering his step-mother did not want him around.

The only time Akane paid any attention to Izuku is during public events and making sure her family is picture perfect, even if it’s faaaar from it. 

Inko paid no mind to her own dating life, she is far more concerned with her son and doing whatever she could to provide for him. Even if she did manage to get the majority of her ex-husband’s funds, she saved the majority of it into an account for her son’s schooling later in life or cases of massive emergencies. 

She did manage to get a decent apartment where she does know her ex-husband and his new wife would never catch themselves being seeing at and it is secluded enough from the paparazzi. 

Inko does start to see someone, after her son decided to play wingman. 

Izuku still grew up looking up to heroes, being memorized by their lives and how they worked hard to save the day. The only hero he does not, or care for, is his own father.

Whenever asked who’s his favorite hero, people assume that it’s his father, but he surprises everyone stating that his favorite hero is a toss up between All Might or Endeavor.

Izuku has met Number Two Hero, Endeavor and witnessed the man be something his own father could ever be.

An actual Father.

Inko is the one that gets him All Might and Endeavor merch, as Hisashi is against his own son getting anything that is related to the top two heroes.

Izuku is sent to a private school as his father wanted to keep up the visage and wanting the best for him.

In actuality, the school is a very far distance from his mother’s home and resulting with Izuku spending more time with his father because of this.

Going to said school, Izuku met several other students who are related to other top heroes or of top standings.

Izuku had gone to hero galas with his father, mainly for the man’s appearance of being a loving father at a young age. He hated the galas, he’d get in trouble if he ever crossed a line which always changed to suit Hisashi and Akane’s taste.

Even so, this had Izuku meet with many other heroes and taken advantage of the opportunity to write his hero analysis notebook. It became something his mom had given him to keep himself occupied whenever he spent time with his father.

Izuku became second fiddle to his younger siblings and being thrown under the bus for things he did not do or had no control over. His siblings, the twins, Ichirou and Kichirou bully him relentlessly. It did not help how Akane did not stop her sons and it only got worse when Izuku showed no signs of developing a quirk. The twins developed their quirks from a young age and used it against their older brother to further humiliate him.

The topic of him being quirkless popped up once or twice, and Izuku cringed and cried himself to sleep as he knew his father would want nothing to do with him if that was the case. He heard the whispers how his step-mother would whisper to her sons on how the moment it was confirmed Izuku was indeed quirkless, then they could finally get rid of him…

Izuku’s nightmares came true the day he went to the doctors to see if he had an extra joint in his pinky toe.

now onto some backstory

her father owns a development company (basically think bart bass from gossip girl but she is not chuck bass because he’s gross) and her mom is a socialite

she was raised in a wealthy family on the upper east side (nyc). she is an only child, so she grew up weaned on expensive items and became a bit materialistic because of it

because she was an only child people assumed she was always the center of attention but the truth is her parents were very neglectful of her...n she grew up to be pretty emotionally stunted whew she literally cannot deal with her emotions but we’ll get to that

her parents never really wanted kids, they just had thalia to present a family-friendly image, so they used her whenever the cameras were around

during her high school years her father ran into a bit of legal trouble because of a building he owned that burned down. he had buried the story, but word was beginning to come out again (yes i’m ripping off gossip girl ASHDKJH)

her parents divorced because of the scandal, among other things. the two of them constantly fought ever since thalia was a child, but her mom decided to remove herself from the scandal while she still had the chance (which is exactly what her moms father, aka thalia’s grandfather, told her to do)

after the divorce, thalia was left in her father’s care

during the scandal, she began to lash out and rebel against her father specifically, but he threatened to take away her trust fund if she did not behave herself. he needed thalia’s help in maintaining his image

so she agreed to stop lashing out publicly, but still continued her lifestyle on the lowkey

she always managed to get herself into trouble, but also found her way out of it one way or another

thalia took an interest in fashion design early on in her high school years and was able get two internships while she was still in high school

after the divorce, she barely ever saw her mom. not that it mattered because she didn’t see her much in the first place, but her mother ended up remarrying suddenly became a family person, leaving thalia to feel extremely bitter

as all negative things did when it came to her father, the scandal blew over and the truth went unnoticed yet again

when it was time for her to go to college, her father basically told her now that she was an adult he did not care to see her much anymore. he said her trust fund was still in place and to not hurt his image, otherwise he would take it away, but he basically severed ties. this is why she decided to move away from her home in new york city and go somewhere she thought she could be more lowkey

she hates her parents, especially her father and wants to make her own money and stop relying on her trust fund, but she’s also too materialistic to give it up...rip

and here we have some quick words about her personality:

thalia is very closed off and has a hard time trusting people

she is not necessarily shy, but feels she is often misunderstood, which is one of the reasons she is never at the center of any social event and likes to hangout along the sidelines instead

thalia is always down to try new things, she is literally up for anything. she’s the type of person who gets bored easily, so she’s always seeking the next thrill

i would not say shes mean (she can be) but she just doesn’t have the most welcoming personality, and maybe she can come off as intimidating (that’s up to ur characters of course)

her view on the world is very negative, she’s most definitely a cynic

the party/manon incident:

thalia was at the party because she asked manon to wear one of her designs. due manon being extremely popular, thalia figured she could get more recognition as a designer by asking her to wear one of her designs

she attended the party to see how people were reacting to her dress, and also because she probably would have attended anyway

she wouldn’t have exactly considered manon a friend, but manon was one of the few people thalia didn’t mistrust, so when her dead body was discovered, thalia was definitely taken aback

thalia was definitely under the influence of something, so she probably doesnt remember that night all too well

when it came to the pact, thalia was quick to agree to it. her father’s one condition for her to keep her trust fund was to stay out of trouble. she knew he could probably have saved her from the mess, but she did not want to have to seek his help

she feels weird being apart of this pact, considering she probably doesn’t trust most of them, but she also didn’t know what else to do

plot ideas (if i remember i’ll strike them out when they get taken):

step siblings - either side of her family, her mom remarried and her dad definitely could have so i would looove step sibling plots. they can b on friendlier terms, or hate each other, literally anything would work

party buddies - this is pretty basic and self explanatory, but someone thalia can go out and have fun with. their friendship is most likely surface level, or prob started that way, but it’s possible they became deeper friends (maybe thalia opened up one day when she was most likely under the influence of something)

ex-fling - thalia is definitely the non-committal type so i doubt she would ever have an ex bf or gf, but it could still have been a serious un-labeled relationship, or just an ex fling. they could be on bad terms, good terms, still have feelings, not have feelings, u name it

unrequited crush -  ur character could have feelings for thalia, but being the way she is, she doesn’t feel them back. this could develop into thalia eventually having feelings for ur muse, or not, whatever we want! OR thalia could have a crush on someone who does not like her back. maybe they’re even more emotionally unavailable than she is, or they simply do not like her back. we could plot this out however

current fling/“friends” w benefits - someone she is currently seeing/sleeping with. could be no strings attached, or there could b some feelings there. maybe they don’t want to make it anything serious, or maybe they’re ready to take it to the next level. maybe one person is ready to go further, and the other isn’t. i put “friends” in parenthesis because she probably doesn’t have many friends

enemies w benefits - imagine the tension!!! they started out hating each other, but ended up hooking up. maybe it was a one time thing, or maybe they can’t stop going back to each other. i think it would b cool if they kept it a secret, they don’t want anyone else to know. this could develop however we want

ex-friends - someone thalia used to consider a close friend, but they had a falling out for whatever reason n maybe they hate each other now. maybe they want to re-kindle their friendship but don’t know how

sibling-like friendship - someone thalia sees like a sibling. they’re there for each other and look out for one another, always have each other’s backs

dynamic duo - could be thalia’s current best friend. i would say she probably doesn’t have many friends, but this person is prob one of the closest people to her and has actually managed to break down some of her walls

confidant - someone who confides in her or someone she confides in, or they confide in each other. they don’t necessarily have to be friends, but they get along and maybe they talk more in private

rivals - they hate each other for whatever reason. maybe it’s jealousy or their personalities just clash, but for whatever reason they do not get along. i love a good enemies plot. they can just b nasty to each other!!! 

safe haven - *mini drug tw*  i did not know how to label this so i apologize for the name. but i think it would b cool if someone helped thalia out during a bad night. she typically saves herself from bad situations, but one day she couldn’t and luckily ur muse was there to help. maybe she drank too much or did too many drugs or mixed the two and ended up rly bad. either way, i would love for someone to have helped her from a tough time. she would probably feel really confused and guilty and like she owes them. maybe ur muse can manipulate her bc of it and make her do things bc she owes them, or maybe they genuinely had good intentions. i would also b down for a plot about thalia helping out someone else’s muse from a sticky situation!!

bad influence - i would loveeee for thalia to be a bad influence on someone. someone she can corrupt in a way, or just lead down a bad path akshkjhd and get them to try new, and not-so-good, things

good influence - someone to be a good influence on thalia. someone who brings out the best in her and tries to steer her down a better path

partner in crime - someone who does crazy, illegal shit w her. someone who is always down for the next adventure n they have crazy memories together

model/muse - someone who models thalia’s clothes. they could simply just be her model, or maybe they could also double as her muse, someone who inspires her best work. there can b romantic feelings there or it can b totally platonic !!!! but i think someone who models for her would be super fun

photographer - someone she partnered with to take pictures of her designs. it can be a strictly mutually beneficial business partnership, or maybe it spiraled into a sort of friendship where they bring out the best in each other (work wise) and stick together for their different projects.

childhood friends - someone who knew thalia when she grew up. maybe they knew about her weird home life, or maybe their friendship was set up by their parents. maybe they were just friends out of their own free will, but grew apart when they grew older. the possibilities are endless

roommates - they could be on good terms or bad terms. maybe thalia coming home at odd hours of the night doesnt sit well with your muse, or maybe they dont have an issue with it at all. maybe they are starting to get along and hangout more because of being roommates

alright, vera was born to a very young couple in wales. they’d gotten married fresh out of high school and had a child (her) just two years later. that being said, for about two years after, her mother began distancing herself from the father... not because he was a bad guy, but he moved cities entirely and she was NOT about that.

to be perfectly redundant, for about two years, it was just vera and her mother. 

grandparents weren’t about their daughter being married. at 18. did they help pay rent for a separate living space? until vera’s mom was 21, yes. but was she welcomed in their house? lmao!!!!!

THEN her father blew back into town. they reconnected, they both began working more so that vera’s mother didn’t have to rely on her own (we’ll get to her dad’s parent’s in a second). 

vera, at the Tender Age of Three™ learned that she was a complete Daddy’s Girl™. although she loved her mom for obvious reasons, she connected with her dad on an entirely different level. he was fun! he was playful! he was young, but he was the perfect dad! he even told dad jokes! which she didn’t get until she was five because three year olds usually aren’t that smart! they did little ‘acrobatic’ things! it was cute and fun and good!

but? this is a roleplay character?

our man died from unexpected heart failure. the autopsy showed an abnormality that hadn’t previously been discovered, and we know our man rarely went to the doctor. vera was six at the time.

her mom: married at 18, mother at 20, widow at 26. 

because she and her mom had never developed that Close Bond™, it was difficult for her mother to figure out how to... like... keep her from wandering around... because just telling her not to wasn’t working... so she was like “you know what.... a leash.”

so whenever her mom was at work and vera wasn’t in school, she was tied to a tree in the backyard.

eventually, her mom kind of just... threw in the towel... she left completely for a change of pace. she said she would be back and that vera would be under the care of her father’s parents in athens until then.

her father’s parents had always been more accepting of the young marriage. they’d been more supportive of them being young parents, in spite of her father having left for a while. they’d definitely been supportive of vera and her mother during that time because they were like “omg mood”

there were a few other kids under their care, all related or not. they did some work for her father’s parents, but nothing very laborious – just sort of... Bonding™ ja feel?

so her mom DID keep her promise and returned three years later when vera was nine. mind you, vera had never held any feelings of resentment towards her mother. when she was six, she... just didn’t get it. at nine, she was old enough to be like “i get u.”

BUT her mother DID get remarried. she didn’t resent her for that, but... she was not fond of the new husband. he wouldn’t accept the ‘dad’ title, was very stern, very serious, made her mom seem like an absolute joy, etc. 

but her mom was in love, so what could she do? and then they had a son together, so what could she do? nothing.

that summer, to learn more Discipline™, vera was sent to live with her step-father’s parents in london. boy howdy, it was nothing like her father’s parents! they had a knack for pointing out flaws, induced actual laborious work, constantly quoted the bible at the worst of times, and thought that a single head nod was the equivalent of “good job!” there were a couple of other kids there too, but yikes.

early was filled with Drama™ surrounding her step-father’s parents and her step-father himself. the overall consensus was that he was not a dope dude, nor were his parents. vera’s mother filed for divorce and gained sole custody of their son (keeping in mind.... she basically already had sole custody of vera.... considering she was her only legal guardian left lmao)

after the divorce was filed, vera’s mother was like “u kno what. my parents hate me. my first husband is dead. my second husband was a douche. i have no reason to be here anymore.” so they went to the land of golden opportunity

but wound up in america instead

home life was not so great - stacy was constantly feeling undermined by gerald’s first wife, knowing he would always love her just that little bit more, and the more insecure she felt, the more she’d take it out on chase, and the meaner she was to chase, the more distant gerald was towards her and to ciel. it was kind of a cycle.

just before chase’s 18th birthday, ciel pointed out that they could run away, just the two of them, and take care of each other like they always do. her big brain pointed out that as an 18 year old, he could be her legal guardian

of course, when shit hits the fan, he has to give up his fancy car and leave the penthouse with ciel, now the two of them live in a shitty little apartment in palm springs because he doesn’t want to blow al their savings and since his arm was kinda uhhhh broken after the ordeal, he’s only just been able to get back into stripping (since he stil isn’t qualified for anything)

Okay so, classes are starting on Monday, meaning I’ll probs be slower(or faster, it’s also a definite possibility). In any case, I will most likely slow down when it comes to bringing new muses in so hopefully this is my last intro post in a while. EDWARD “EDDIE” HALE is a 23 years old CISMALE who looks just like LUKE BENWARD. He has been described as ALTRUISTIC yet SUPERSTITIOUS.

Eddie is the younger brother of Terrence, and from the moment he was born, he was expected to be just as good as his brother was. While he did try to live up to it at first, it also gave him some issues, mostly relating to confidence, since he was always compared to his brother and felt like he wasn’t good enough.

Being 6 years younger, at least, he was mostly the one Hale kid people knew in his school year. During that time, mostly in elementary school, it was a relief, since he had a break of living up to everyone’s expectations.

Then, the closer he got to high school, the more people started to hear about his brother and everything.

All through high school, he tried to just blend in, and not get linked to his brother. By that time, people knew all the things he did, Terrence was basically like a legend in their high school, and Eddie was definitely not the same type of character.

Every single time his brother brought a girlfriend home, he’d end up surprisingly bonding with her, enough to care and try to help them after his brother broke their heart. But he personally didn’t have a girlfriend until the very high of his senior high school year.

By the time he graduated, Terrence had moved out to Kola, looking for good job opportunities. Eddie still doesn’t know what happened in his mind, but at one point, he received a text from his brother asking if he wanted to move in with him in Kola and open a confectionery with him. Since he decided to not go to college and was just working a shit job, Eddie accepted. Not like his relationship with his parents was that good anyway.

So moved to Kola when he was 19, and he lives there in an apartment with his brother. Since he never studied, Terrence thought he’d be better running the front shop, greeting people, selling stuff, managing the employees, while he was working mostly backstore with finance and all that.

Not a day passes without him regretting his decision to move to Kola.

While definitely help you if you’re in trouble, even if he doesn’t know you or won’t get anything out of it.

STYLES MCKINLEY is a 28 years old CISMALE who looks just like BEAU MIRCHOFF. He has been described as GENEROUS yet SAD.

So Styles. Is. A. Sad. Puppy.

He was the second son, his brother being about 5 years older than him. When he was only 3, his mother passed away. He was told it was a certain disease, but he was never told what.

Anyway, he grew up looking up at his dad and his brother, and never really minded not having a mom. Although after a moment, he started getting upset whenever someone would mention his mom, and then they’d apologize when they learned about her fate. It’s not like he really knew her, and yes, it’s sad, but it’s something he’s gotten over a long time ago.

When he was 12, his father(43) remarried with a woman that was 24. It was... weird to have a step-mom this young, but it was weirder for his brother. Anyway, they already knew the woman, she was their dad’s secretary, and actually babysat both boys when they were a little younger. So she was already well acquainted with the family.

Anyway, a year later, she was caught cheating on her husband with no one else than Styles’ brother. That completely tore the family apart. His dad divorced, his brother was kicked out, and his step mom was fired and he never heard of her again.

And when he started high school, his father(who’d started abusing alcohol) was deemed ot good enough to care for him, so he went to live with his brother(who was now 19 and had a steady job in a restaurant). But that wasn’t the rockiest part of his high school experience.

See, Styles was a rather talented soccer player, and so quite popular. But unlike his friends(who tended to be cruel and manipulative), he was just the most caring person, he just never showed that side often. Or at least, people would mistake him as just another cruel boy.

Anyway. Early in sophomore year, they started picking on this girl, Louise, who was, really, just minding her own business. But they didn’t like that she was never mingling with people, and they really wanted her to like... do it with them. Well, Styles never said anything out loud, but she categorized him as one of them, and he totally gets why, since he never stepped in to stop it. Which he was kind of sad about because if he was honest, she seemed really nice and he thought he could definitely like her.

Well, he did end up stopping them, about a month and a half later. It was a party(which she surprisingly decided to go to), his “friends” had cornered her in a room. He was standing in the back at first, but when he realized what their intention was, he just want ahead and got them, not so pacifially, to leave. That was the beginning of his story with Louise, and honestly the end of his popularity(and soccer career, since he quit, refusing to play with such jerks).

At first, Louise and him were distant, mostly because he was grumpy he went from everything to nothing, but he quickly warmed up. And that was the beginning of a wonderful love story that would’ve lasted for ages, had it not been a horrible diagnosis.

It was during senior year, she was getting sicker and sicker, so she went to the doctors. And when she got her results, she was devastated. So was Styles, when he learned she had cancer, and it wasn’t an early stage, and it was almost terminal.

Well, anyway, they decided it wouldn’t stop them. The next year, while she was transferred to a better hospital and he decided he would go into medicine in a close by hospital, they did the most impulsive thing either have ever done, and they got married. She just wanted to live as much as she could, before it was too late.

She was strong, lasted for a very long time, but the more time passed, the more they realized the day was going to come. Louise passed away 3 years ago, when they were 25. Styles was devastated, but at least, he knew she had a good life. She had the life she wanted.

So he kind of knew he wouldn’t be able to stay in that town much longer after her death, so he decided to head back to Kola. He’s now a resident in oncology, and his biggest dream would be to help cancer patients.

TAMI SULLIVAN is a 20 years old CISFEMALE who looks just like SHANNON PURSER. She has been described as MAGNANIMOUS yet SELF CONSCIOUS.

Tami is the youngest sister of a pageant queen who went out to become a model. She was originally expected to also follow in those steps, but she had no interest in beauty contest, and much prefers imaginary worlds.

While her sister would always be out partying with friends, Tami would just stay home and read books after books. Literally never stopped, it’s all she did. So while she wasn’t so good in classes such as sciences or maths, she was skilled in English or Literature classes.

So she’s not really popular? Never has been? But she’s also got a bunch of friends. You know how it is, unpopular kids tend to bond together, and they nearly always have more genuine friends than popular kids. So she’s really happy being unpopular but with real friends.

She’s currently studying to become an editor, since she loves reading and it would be a perfect job for her. She would totally write her own stories, but she’s just lacking a little in the imagination skill.

While she lives well being unpopular, constantly being compared to her model sister has given her body issues. She knows all shapes are pretty, curves are pretty, people tell her she’s pretty, but it’s sometimes just really hard to believe when you’re sister is tall and skinny and poses on magazine covers.

TERRENCE HALE is a 29 years old CISMALE who looks just like GLEN POWELL. She has been described as AESTHETIC yet COCKY.

Born from two overachiever parents, Terrence was expected to do good. And while he had an immense ego and self-confidence, he was also surprisingly smart. So of course, when his brother was born, he was taken as a model.

To not look like a complete nerd, Terrence acted like a real brat in school, hanging with the popular kids. Hell, he was one of the most popular kid out there. He just made sure to study double the amount at home so his grades would stay up.

Definitely did a lot of shit, dated countless girls(often now more than a few days), did all kind of crazy dares, which ended up getting him suspended quite a few times, but also gave him a name in the school, which would end up lasting for years.

Once he graduated high school, he went on to study accounting in Kola University, keeping up the same game he played all through school, aka he was a frat boy who acted like he gave no shit about classes, but definitely had the best grades in the class.

After graduating, he didn’t really know what he wanted to do. He knew he would never go home, somehow being far from his parents felt good, so he just looked around for jobs, but nothing really interested him.

Until he was binge-watching all of the Harry Potter movies, with a gigantic bowl of candies. He then realized there weren’t that many confectioneries in Kola, and that was definitely something the town needed more. (he might have been high when that happened...)

It was really on an impulse that Terrence looked around for a place to rent, to found one, and called Eddie to know if he wanted to join. Honestly, that confectionery was going to happen whether he said yes or no, but he definitely wanted his brother to be a part of it. He was just always close to him, and he knew he was most likely looking out for a good opportunity career-wish.

The confectionery, called Candy Hale, was opened about 4 years ago, and its popularity keeps only increasing. Terrence mostly works the accounts, but he also doesn’t mind helping up front if needed.

Occasionally acted out in school and landed in trouble. It was hard for him to adjust having his parents separated, remarried, and having a stepsister. It wasn’t until he was in first year of high school he was introduced to metalwork. He fell in love with the hobby. He constantly was creating little trinkets and sculptures. This hobby had him stop getting into trouble as often, but of course he was still mischievous. 

Junseo went to trade school to continue on with his love with metal work and welding. He currently is working as a welder specifically for construction. 

It was his second year of high school where he met Alex. The sweetest and amazing guy Junseo has ever encountered. He was careful about his secret crush on Alex as he was learning about himself, his sexuality, and if he actually had feelings for Alex. After a couple of months of harboring his feelings for Alex, Junseo admitted his feelings for the other, and  Junseo gave Alex a small metal pendant with Alex’s initials on it. The two have been inseparable ever since.

Twice did Junseo, in high school, get suspended for fighting with another student. First time because a student harassed Alex, and the second time a student harassed and punched Junseo first. He would do it again, too. 

Alex balances Junseo out and Junseo balances Alex out. After high school, Junseo managed to save enough money to buy them couple’s rings. The two currently live together, and have been dating for almost eight years.

Itsumi - the oldest of three. She’s mostly like Semi, very stubborn and she has his pout down to a T. She doesn’t get along well with her younger siblings and believes they’re taking their parents away from her. She grows up to work in the bakery that Suga owns.

Emiko - the middle child. She’s the sweetest bean, always smiling and trying to have a good time. She just wants Itsumi to love her. She has very severe asthma and allergies that get slightly less severe as the years go on. She’s had a couple of scares with these. She grows up to be a professional artist/cosplayer

Kohaku - the youngest child. He’s the only boy child and he’s pretty much Semi’s clone except he has brown hair. He’s also very sweet and doesn’t understand why Itsumi hates him. He follows Emiko around like a little duck and clings to Suga every chance he gets. I haven’t given him a job yet

Itsumi is older than Emiko by two years and older than Kohaku by six. 

BokuAka

Daisuke - the older twin. He and his twin both look like Akaashi except they have golden eyes like Bokuto. He’s loud and easily excitable and he’s friendly with everybody. Sometimes he doesn’t think when he speaks which often gets him into trouble with his brother and leads to a fight. He grows up to play volleyball professionally.

Haruto - the younger twin. His story is kind of angsty, in that when he was eight months old Bokuto accidentally threw him into a ceiling fan and he had to go to the hospital. Haruto is the quieter of the two and shy, mostly due to his stutter. His stutter appears on Ts, S’s, Fs, Ks, and hard Cs. He is also on the autism spectrum, but it is very mild. He grows up to be a director and screenwriter, starting off on Youtube but making big, award winning films.

Haruto, Daisuke, and Itsumi are all the same age! They are also best friends, although Emiko and Haruto end up closer at the end.

Junichi - the oldest of the triplets. He has long, wavy shoulder length hair much like Asahi’s. He is a lot like Asahi, but a little less anxious (he doesn’t have a glass heart). He is very humble and he always tries to do the right thing. He becomes a speech therapist when he’s older

Rie - the middle triplet. This gal is spunky af, much like Noya. Good thing she looks just like him. She spends a lot of time teasing her brothers and their friends. She is very much a tease, innocently and sexually. Rie is probably the coolest one out of them all. Noya is her favorite parent.

Atsushi - the youngest triplet, and boy does he hate it. He’s definitely not a runt but he spends a lot of time being teased by both his siblings for being born last. Not much is to be sad about him except that he’s the straightest out of the entire family, and he isn’t even that straight at all.

These three are one year older than Daisuke, Haruto, and Itsumi. Rie considers Emiko a younger sister when they grow closer as they’re older.

KuroKen

Shouta - the oldest child. He looks a lot like Kuroo, but he doesn’t have the same fanon “bad boy” attitude. He is very kind and soft and sweet and he really loves Kenma. As a child his favorite thing to do is curl up with Kenma and watch him play video games. He ends up going into the video game development business when he’s older.

Terumi - the youngest child. She is very much a Papa’s girl, always clinging to Kuroo, so much so that she barely lets him use the restroom without crying. This is mostly because Kuroo is a professional volleyball player and he often leaves for long periods of time. 

Shouta is the same age as the AsaNoya triplets and is good friends with them, while Terumi is the same age as Emiko. They are inseparable.

TeruDai

Yasushi - the oldest child. He takes after Daichi in that he is very calm and levelheaded at all times. He takes his role as big brother very seriously and is in charge, most times, of calming his brother down. When he’s older he follows in Daichi’s footsteps and becomes a lawyer

Takeshi - the youngest child. He is wild. Very loud and excitable, much like Terushima was but this is magnified. He just wants to jump everywhere and is always laughing. He can only be calmed when his older brother lays next to him.

Takeshi and Yasushi are two years apart in age.

TsukkiYama

Usagi - Their only child. She takes after Yamaguchi mostly, but she is very much attached to Tsukishima. She’s very soft spoken but she’s not that shy. She loves the arts and when she grows up she becomes a videogame developer.

She is the youngest out of all the OCs! 

UshiTen

Noboku - their only child. He is adopted but he has a striking resemblance to Tendou, with bright red hair and freckles. He is mostly quiet like Ushijima but he usually cries when he’s unhappy. 

He is the same age as Kohaku!

Kyouhaba

Isao - their only son for now. He’s there but there’s not much to say about him besides the fact that he’s very quiet and Kyoutani loves him a lot.

He is the same age as Kohaku and Noboku

YakuLev

Fumiko - the oldest daughter. She is very bubbly and has long, silver hair just like Lev and big green eyes. She can be kind of air-headed at times but she is also very serious when it comes to her family. She’s bullied a lot because she is one of the tallest in her class but she never lets it get to her head. She grows up to be a primary school teacher.

Ania - the middle daughter. She is much like Yaku with reddish brown hair but she has those big green eyes just like Lev. She has a Russian name because Lev wanted some of his heritage in his daughters as well. She has quite an attitude and they all know where she gets it from. She’s the shortest of her sisters but she is still a good four inches taller than Yaku.

Sayuri - the youngest daughter. She is feisty but kind. She’s got a good mix between brown and silver hair, landing in a darkish blonde color. She and Ania get into a lot of fights because their personalities clash. She is the second tallest.

Fumiko is the same as Kohaku and Noboku. Ania is three years younger than Fumiko and Sayuri is a year younger than Ania.

KawaShira

Mitsuru - oldest of two. He is cool, calm, and collected. He takes after Kawanishi in personality and hair style (Kawanishi would be damned if he gave his son a bowl cut). He’s got light, sandy colored hair much like Shirabu does.

Yasu - youngest of two. She gets all of Shirabu’s sassiness and bitter attitude. She has red hair like Kawanishi that she always pulls into a ponytail and never cuts. She has the meanest glares that could scare even Ushijima.

These two are five years apart in age.

MatsuHana

Ume - She is the only child of these two idiots and she’s very soft spoken. She loves animals and she loves spending time with her parents. She considers Iwaizumi her third father and his son her brother. When she is older she becomes a psychiatric nurse

Iwaizumi

Iwaizumi is the single father of a little boy named Kino. Iwaizumi had been in a relationship with Oikawa but after finding out Oikawa couldn’t get pregnant, Oikawa couldn’t handle it and left Iwaizumi. Iwaizumi is close with MatsuHana and adopted Kino after spending a lot of time with Ume

Kino - he is a happy little boy who has some health complications (Type 1 Diabetes) but that never stops him. He had been alone at the orphanage he lived at until Iwaizumi saw him and took an immediate liking.

Relationships:

Itsumi & Daisuke - these two have been in love since they were six, Daisuke constantly pining after her. They get married right after college at twenty-one and they divorce at twenty-three because of Itsumi hiding two abortions from him. She had the first when she was eighteen and another when she was twenty-three. She never wanted kids and didn’t know how to have a real conversation about it. They get remarried at twenty-seven and decide to finally talk it out. They end up having two children, Ryouta and Ren. They are three years apart!

Junichi & Haruto - these two meet in high school when Junichi is a third year and Haruto is a second year. Haruto is kind of wary of Junichi at first because Junichi just decided one day to sit with him at lunch (Haruto usually sits alone) and start a conversation. Junichi becomes the person that Haruto trusts the most and they get married right before Itsumi and Daisuke separate. They own a dog and have one child, Yuzuki. Haruto experiences postpartum after she is born and this leads them to deciding not to have any more kids. 

Emiko & Hachi - Hachi isn’t a love child, he’s completely separate. He’s a nurse and the two meet while Emiko is hospitalized for her asthma (x). Emiko flirts with him and slips him her number and eventually they go on a date. He’s three years older than her, making him the same age as Junichi. He supports her career and she supports him, even if they fight a lot about his long hours. But he gives up his dream of being a doctor in order to be with her more. They have a daughter Moriko and possibly some other kids.

Usagi & Shouta - These two have a seven year age difference and meet when Usagi is eighteen and interning under him at the video game company that he and Kenma work at. She thinks she’s subtle in her advances towards him but she is not and he thinks it’s adorable. She is the one that gives her his number and even if it’s against company policy Kenma turns a blind eye so his son can be happy.

Iwaizumi & Yamaguchi - Yamaguchi ends up divorcing from Tsukishima because of irreconcilable differences when it came to their daughter’s relationship with an older man. These two meet at the gym at Iwaizumi works at/owns after Yamaguchi falls on the treadmill. Kino was slightly behind setting them up as he pushed Iwaizumi to go help him up.

Yasushi & Ume - These two met after Yasushi attempted suicide and thankfully failed. Ume was one of the nurses in charge of nursing him back to health and they ultimately fell for each other despite that being against the rules. They start dating once Yasushi is fully better and have three dogs and four children together!

Takeshi & Kousei - Takeshi and Kousei meet in college where they were madly in love but Takeshi broke up once with Kousei because the latter was too clingy. However, they realize that they miss each other too much. As a child Kousei had leukemia which comes back when they’re graduated and he’s pregnant with their first child. He hadn’t told Takeshi about his past battle with cancer until he woke up with a bloody nose and knew immediately. They have three children.

Fumiko & Noboku - These two were childhood friends (along with Kohaku) and got together in high school. It was tough getting together because neither wanted to admit their feelings for the other but ultimately they end up happy and with a whopping five children!

Kohaku & Osamu (not Miya) - Kohaku ends up as a manga artist which is a lot of stressful nights trying to meet deadlines. Osamu is his editor/publisher and helps him work through it. Eventually, they start having feelings for each other and theyre married within a year of their relationship. Kohaku has a lot of complications with his first pregnancy as he tries to work on his manga through it and has a lot of trouble getting pregnant a second time. But they have two kids in the end

Atsushi & Miranda - Atsushi moves overseas as an architect once he graduates college and meets Miranda there. She’s his partner while working together and they hook up a couple of times before she ends up pregnant with twins! They break up a little after the twins are born but they coparent pretty well. They end up relocating to Japan and end up together in the end

Terumi & Asami - These two were also high school sweethearts after Emiko pushed them together. Asami is a really fun, outgoing girl who likes cosplay and idolizes Emiko, which sucks for Terumi because now she has to deal with her best friend and girlfriend being loud.

          - ben is the only child to the Cheney household. he was in fact adopted – and ben was originally born in France. in this matter, ben’s primarily spoken language is indeed French and English. his household diversity is actually pretty big in a spectrum and this is just his immediate household, his father is a french man and his mother is Italian. 

         - while im mentioning ben’s parent’s let’s get to know a bit about them yes? Louis Vafara Cheney was born in Paris France, he is the youngest son to ben’s grandparents Abel Cheney and Dianne Cheney and his elder brother is Florence Cheney ( divorced/remarried with step-children ). Louis is a management consultant, leaving him to travel across the globe for business. In this Louis is a very well educated man, he is fluent in several languages such as french, english, spansih, hangul, mandarin, and he knows conversational italian. 

         - I personally headcanon Jean./Dujardin as ben’s father. 

         - now speaking of ben’s mother, she is the most prominent parental figure in ben’s life. due to his father’s work, he isn't always around, but his mother is always around him. Margot Bice Cheney was born in Manarola Italy, and is the third eldest child to Duilio Moretti and Cloe Moretti. Younger sister to Gia Moretti ( married with children ), Lucilla Moretti ( divorced with children ), elder sister to Alonzo Moretti ( married no children ), and Celeste Moretti ( single with a cat ). Margot is a well-known painter who has sold many pieces ever since the age of twenty,  she is very bright and intelligent. She speaks italian, french, and english extremely well. 

        - i personally headcanon Monica./Bellucci as ben’s mother. 

        - now that you have met the parents, lets get into it! what led up to ben’s adoption was a simple fact that margot cannot have children. after meeting and marrying louis, its was around six years into their marriage that she wanted a child. after countless months and months of trying, she wanted to give up. however, there is always a light at the end of the tunnel and it appeared to them as an elderly korean woman. now it wasn't just some random occurrence or like a beam of light came down from the clouds and shined on them and specifically told this woman, hey give them your baby. it was after a year or two of investigating did they finally meet this woman, Choi Jang-mi ( aka ben’s actual birth mother ). she was in her mid to late thirties and she’d moved to france to get away from an abusive relationship and found out that she was pregnant, and she didn’t want the child for the sole fact that it was the son of her abusive husband. 

        - when margot and louis were approached – or more so introduced to jang-mi, margot actually sat down and talked with her. had a heart to heart with louis translating, and really sat down and asked her if she really truly didn’t want this child. if the father mattered that much to her that she would willingly give up her baby, and jang-mi said it did matter to her and that even if she did keep the baby she had no way to support both herself and the child – or even really protect the child if her husband ever found her. and this doesn’t make her a bad mother or person, there are some wounds that can’t be healed and sometimes in order to prevent yourself from hurting someone who doesn’t deserve it – you give them away and let them go. 

       - well after everything had been set, signed, and marked. ben was officially margot and louis, and let me tell you that was the happiest day margot has ever been in her life. they day she held ben for the first time her heart literally just enveloped him and it clearly shows in his life just how much his mother and father really love and support him? 

       - ben has always been the center of their world, and i say both of them because even when louis is away on business trips he’s constantly calling or bringing back gifts and small things such as a snow globe for ben or a jar of sand from a beach he’s wanted to visit. margot is also so involved with ben and teaching him – it’s no wonder he turned out the way he did a lot of his mother’s talents and quirks rubbed off on him. she’s always taken time out for ben all through his childhood and even into his college years, she’s always set time aside to help or be with him and show her support. 

     - ben really looks up to his mother, and like they say mother is god in the eyes of a child – and that kind of pertains to ben and his mother. she’s always dealt with life’s struggle with a postive attutide and putting her best foot forward no matter if she knows she’s going to step on glass, and she’s done her best to raise ben to do the same. 

    - ben’s relationship with his father is rather solid as well, even if he doesnt see his father 24/7. they talk frequently on the phone when he is away ad his father tries to make it back to almost everyone of ben’s swim meets or track meets. and if he is unable to makee it his mother video tapes the meet and they watch it in the living room and his father is more than enthused and vocal on praising ben and his accomplishments. 

    - ben’s household is very supportive and rather open-minded, and i know what you’re thinking – they’re too perfect what the actual hell its creepy. they are not perfect by any means — there have been many moments in their lives that have almost split this household.in two and while ben clearly remembers those that took place while he was young he chooses to focus more on the brighter moments that have taken place with his family since they are so important to him.
