I know I've seen this elsewhere as a shitpost/jokepost, but it would be very funny if Marquis was a trans man and thus (in a direct biological sense) Amy's 'Mom'. Obviously that doesn't work with how Marquis described being surprised by her when her mom died and all, but still. A funny Au concept, maybe.

What does “Curbstomp, Cuddles, Crack, Cyoot, Concept” mean?

In one of my early wormfic reviews I joked about including it, in response to a wormblr jokepost I enjoyed in the format of "I asked if it was curbstomp or cuddles and they laughed and said "it's a good fic" and so I opened it and it was curbstomp."

It doesn't mean much of substance, thus,

and it isn't part of the invisible and unimportant score like the four lines above it are (where every line has a score of 0, .5, or 1, and none of the caveats matter)

To be clear, I don't think any of these are bad things; I enjoy them all.

Curbstomp: Is protag just plowing through enemies like a bowling ball on a billiards table?

Cuddles: Is part of this fic about hugs and kisses?

Crack: Is this crackfic? Is it silly? Should I prepare to set my suspension of disbelief on a hangar in the laundry room for a while because I won't need it and it will get in the way and it needed to air out and hang dry anyway?

Cyoot: Maybe it's not romantic, but it's just being cute/cutesy? Like, "LORD DOOM" is not about cuddles, and arguably it's sufficient to say it's "Crack" and "Curbstomp" but perhaps either the character or the artist is preening a bit? I'm not sure. It's fun anyway.

Concept: I added this one because it fits the gratuitous alliteration, and because even if we were serious about claiming we can divide most wormfics into arbitrary categories, we'd have to include the reality that some people are trying to Do A Serious Thing. I did it for the Burnscar-rehabilitating-herself fic, and IIRC it would work well for Bubbles Must Pop. ...but it's mostly a useless one because what story doesn't have a concept? And I'm trying to be kind. ...but I should perhaps use this exclusively for "high concept" or "concept above all else" or "artfic"

Really I shouldn't even keep that line in, but I want consistency and maybe I can hone it into something valuable
