i dont know how to tell you this but even if koi are fish, they are fish that evolved the ability to communicate their wants & needs and engage in a society. they know how to earn money and use it to buy any food of their choosing and they picked hunting their lesser evolved brethren for sport. they dont need to eat these lesser fish to survive. do they feel sympathy or shame? probably not
