For the week of 7 January 2019
Quick Bits:
Aliens: Dust to Dust #4 concludes this series from Gabriel Hardman, Rain Beredo, and Michael Heisler. It’s been very good, capturing the feel and atmosphere of the first two Alien films and delivering a very taut horror-thriller. Absolutely gorgeous artwork from Hardman and Beredo.

Tumblr media
Atomic Robo: Dawn of a New Era #1 isn’t a bad jumping on point. It doesn’t really get you up to speed on the past of the series, but you also don’t really need to have read any of it to enjoy this story. Great humour and interesting tidbits of science and history as usual from Brian Clevinger, Scott Wegener, Shannon Murphy, and Jeff Powell.
| Published by IDW
Tumblr media
Avengers #12 works to build up Black Panther’s “Agents of Wakanda” to serve as a support network for information and grunt work throughout the world to feed the Avengers team proper. It’s an interesting use of otherwise lesser-used characters from Jason Aaron and definitely broadens the scope of the overall series.
| Published by Marvel
Tumblr media
Barbarella/Dejah Thoris #1 is a very good beginning to this series from Leah Williams, Germán García, Addison Duke, and Crank!. Williams captures the tone and feel of both characters very well through their dialogue and the artwork from García and Duke is impressive.

Batman #62 is the second part of “Knightmares”, which near as I can tell is going to be a series of one-off stories by an array of brilliant artists with Batman as filtered through some strange psycho-thriller lens (or at least the first two parts adhere to that ethos). It’s good, but it’s weird. Great art from Mitch Gerads as Tom King keeps us off balance and at arms length with the narrative confusion.
| Published by DC Comics
Tumblr media
Birthright #35 concludes this arc with an epic battle between Brennan and Mikey, as Brennan confronts his family, cutting deep into the resentment that Brennan has felt for his brother. The art from Andrei Bressan and Adriano Lucas is amazing.

Tumblr media
Bitter Root #3 continues to be thoroughly excellent in every conceivable way, presenting a compelling mystery in the origins of the Jinoo, an interesting family drama delving into more of the history and interpersonal foibles of the Sangerye family, and it’s just an entertaining supernatural schlockfest on top of all of that. David F. Walker, Chuck Brown, Sanford Greene, Rico Renzi, and Clayton Cowles are delivering one hell of a story here. Oh, and the art from Greene and Renzi is stunning.

The Black Order #3 shifts to the perspective of Black Dwarf here, and like the first issue, plays off a narrative that is contrary to what you’d expect. Where Glaive thought himself a comedian, Black Dwarf is more contemplative, wondering if his thoughts and desires are who he is, or if he’s merely the brute that others see. It’s interesting, even as it continues the ongoing plot of trying to destroy the Sinnarian Empire.

By Night #7 takes an interesting turn as Heather’s father and uncle take a moment to act as exterminators and she and Jane try to rescue Barney from a mob boss. Love the humour as always from John Allison’s script, especially as he adds some unexpected elements. Very nice design and presentation of the bug from Eidolon by Christine Larsen and Sarah Stern.

Captain Marvel #1 is a fun relaunch, perfectly mixing humour, action, and interpersonal drama as Kelly Thompson, Carmen Carnero, Tamra Bonvillain, and Clayton Cowles bring Carol back to New York. Beautiful colours throughout from Bonvillain, really making Carnero’s line art shine.
| Published by Marvel
Tumblr media
Criminal #1 is a very welcome return to the Lawless family, as Ed Brubaker, Sean Phillips, and Jacob Phillips weave a tale of Ricky stealing an old thief’s necklace trying to bail Teeg out of jail, only to wind up in even more hot water than he began in. You don’t need to have read any of the previous volumes of Criminal before, but I still highly recommend that you do since they’re awesome.

The Curse of Brimstone #10 gives us some more answers as Annie confronts Wandering Jack to get information on the Salesman and to figure out a way to possibly save her brother. This is still a weird series, but Justin Jordan, Eduardo Pansica, Júlio Ferreira, Rain Beredo, and Wes Abbott have definitely been making it interesting.
| Published by DC Comics
Tumblr media
Deathstroke #39 gears us up for the conclusion next issue by positing that from Slade’s point of view what he’s claimed happened actually did happen, as the disparate threads converge. It’s interesting as to how Priest has been staging this story.
| Published by DC Comics
Tumblr media
Die #2 is brilliant. As good as the first issue was, and it was really damn good, this one is even better as we get the exposed to some of the rules of this fantasy world and thrown headlong into the seamless world building of this realm. Kieron Gillen, Stephanie Hans, and Clayton Cowles have something truly magical here, taking a childhood love of science fiction and fantasy, and subverting it into something that can hurt us like weaponized nostalgia. It is absolutely stunning.

Faith: Dreamside #4 is a very strong conclusion to this mini from Jody Houser, MJ Kim, Jordie Bellaire, and Dave Sharpe. The entire series has looked good, but Kim and Bellaire really take it to another level with this finale, the confrontation of Belu is just incredible.

The Freeze #2 is probably better than the first issue and it was an incredibly debut, from Dan Wickline, Phillip Sevy, and Troy Peteri. I absolutely love that the focus isn’t on the freeze itself or what caused it, and is instead about the people living in the world and the problems that this kind of apocalypse could cause. It’s smart and leads to some very compelling character drama and complications.

Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man #1 is amazing. Spectacular even. This is a very heartfelt and humorous debut from Tom Taylor, Juann Cabal, Nolan Woodard, and Travis Lanham that takes Spider-Man down to the local level, spotlighting his, well, neighbourhood. There’s also a back-up from Taylor, Marcelo Ferreira, Roberto Poggi, Jim Campbell, and Lanham that could well be a game-changer.

The Green Lantern #3 continues to be one hell of trip from Grant Morrison, Liam Sharp, Steve Oliff, and Tom Orzechowski. It still feels like something out of a different time, but that’s part of what really makes this work.
| Published by DC Comics
Tumblr media
Gunning for Hits #1 is a pretty dense beginning to what’s apparently a crime drama mixed with the music industry, not at all like Empire because I know that’s probably what many would think. It’s seedier, grittier, down at the street level, but as I say, this is dense. This first issue has a lot of narration, a lot of dialogue, and a great number of pages that more or less outline how signing deals work in a how-to format. It’s unique, blending some of the hallmarks of something like an autobio comic with a more standard narrative approach. I’m definitely looking forward to seeing what Jeff Rougvie, Moritat, and Casey Silver do for a second number.

Hit-Girl #12 is the bloody conclusion to Rafael Scavone, Rafael Albuquerque, Marcel Maiolo, and Clem Robins’ “Rome” arc with Mindy and Paola confronting the corrupt convent. Absolutely beautiful artwork from Albuquerque and Maiolo, with even time for one last twist in the tale.
| Published by Image
Tumblr media
House Amok #4 features some very impressive artwork from Shawn McManus and Lee Loughridge as the story takes and interesting path as it heads towards the conclusion. Christopher Sebela has been giving us an interesting look at this world through Dylan as the scales fell from her eyes, but this one makes us wonder, what if the family isn’t really crazy.

Justice League #15 heats things up on Hawkworld with a very interesting revelation about Shayera and Thanagar Prime, along with a deeper mystery about the multiverse. It really makes me wonder what James Tynion IV and Scott Snyder are getting at. Gorgeous art throughout from Jim Cheung, Stephen Segovia, Mark Morales, Tomeu Morey, and Wil Quintana.
| Published by DC Comics

The Last Siege #8 is the brutal conclusion to this series that has been a practical masterclass in storytelling, from character development through pacing, atmosphere and execution. This series has just been incredible. Landry Q. Walker, Justin Greenwood, Brad Simpson, and Patrick Brosseau stick the landing with one hell of a finale.

Man Without Fear #2 continues to tear Matt Murdock apart as he finds ways not to deal very well with being hit by a truck. And gives in to fear. Great art from Stefano Landini and Andres Mossa as Matt’s nightmares come to life.

Tumblr media
Martian Manhunter #2 continues to be a bit of a slow burn, parcelling out a bit about the in-story present and then delving into more about J’onn’s past on Mars, building up Martian culture and what they were taking from Earth even in our ancient past. The art from Riley Rossmo and Ivan Plascencia is amazing.

Miles Morales: Spider-Man #2 is another great issue as Miles and the Rhino team-up to track down the missing kids. Saladin Ahmed does an amazing job of humanizing Rhino and making us empathize with his plight. The art from Javier Garrón and David Curiel is again very impressive.

Moth & Whisper #5 concludes this series from Ted Anderson, Jen Hickman, and Marshall Dillon. While it does bring the story to a satisfying resolution, it still leaves open the door for more to come, which I’d love to see.

Murder Falcon #4 delivers some pretty big revelations as the reunited Brooticus faces off against Magnum Khaos. It goes about as well as you’d expect. Daniel Warren Johnson, Mike Spicer, and Rus Wooton are really nailing the heartfelt character beats in amongst the over-the-top monster battles.

Oblivion Song #11 deals with the fallout of Ed’s transference of another piece of Philly over to Oblivion. Gorgeous artwork as always from Lorenzo De Felici and Annalisa Leoni, particularly during the creature battles.

Outer Darkness #3 continues to show us how this universe works as the crew try to salvage a derelict vessel on a supposedly barren rock. This mix of horror and science fiction is wonderful and John Layman, Afu Chan, and Pat Brosseau are really creating something unique here.

The Punisher #6 begins the next leg of Frank’s ongoing nightmares with the first part of “War in Bagalia” from Matthew Rosenberg, Szymon Kudranski, Antonio Fabela, and Cory Petit. I’ve really been enjoying what Rosenberg has been doing since the “War Machine” arc and it just seems to be getting better. There’s some really intriguing things about a nation run by Baron Zemo here.

Red Sonja #25 ends this volume with another one-off tale with Red Sonja ferrying a musician to a ship on the coast from Amy Chu, Erik Burnham, Carlos Gomez, Mohan, and Taylor Esposito. It’s a curious story of longing for home that allows for a little bit of reflection on the series, but it doesn’t ruminate on it long.

Tumblr media
Self/Made #2 doesn’t have the luxury of the twist of the first issue, so has to work harder to get past that “I see dead people” Sixth Sense moment, and, really, it does. This is just a damned good story, playing with sci-fi and fantasy elements, blended seamlessly due to it all being a representation of game development. Mat Groom, Eduardo Ferigato, Marcelo Costa, and Troy Peteri are doing some great work here.

Sleepless #11 brings all of the plots and machinations to an end as Sarah Vaughn, Leila Del Duca, Alissa Sallah, Gabe Fischer, and Deron Bennett bring the series to an end. Some very interesting bits of tradition, change, and resentment towards monarchy.

Spider-Gwen: Ghost Spider #4 is an epilogue to the “Spider-Geddon” event, paying tribute and burying the fallen. It’s a very haunting story, making you wonder if Gwen’s going to take a darker turn in the future. Seanan McGuire, Rosi Kämpe, Takeshi Miyazawa, Ian Herring, and Clayton Cowles do a wonderful saying goodbye to various parts of the Spider-Verse.

Star Wars Adventures: Destroyer Down #3 concludes this mini from Scott Beatty, Derek Charm, Jon Sommariva, Sean Parsons, Matt Herms, and Tom B. Long. It’s been interesting to see the two time periods of the stories play against one other with events in the past informing those in the present.

Thor #9 is somewhat of a companion piece to this week’s Avengers #12, setting up Roz Solomon as another Agent of Wakanda, but you don’t need to read both of them to enjoy them individually. This one delivers a lot of information on what’s going on in regards to the build up of the “War of the Realms” in addition to giving Roz a new purpose and changed outlook. Gorgeous artwork from Mike del Mundo.

Turok #1 is an entertaining reimagining of the series from Ron Marz, Roberto Castro, Salvatore Aiala, and Troy Peteri, somewhat in line with the original Valiant interpretation, albeit moving it forward to the late 1800′s. Quite like the art from Castro and Aiala. Castro’s art reminds me a bit of a cross between Joe Kubert, Bart Sears, and Jordi Bernet.

Web of Venom: Venom Unleashed #1 is a pair of tales spotlighting the new dog-form of the symbiote as he chases down people infected by Carnage, then Cletus’ perspective on it, from Ryan Stegman, Kyle Hotz, Juan Gedeon, Marc Deering, Scott Hanna, Livesay, Roberto Poggi, Victor Olazaba, Dan Brown, Matt Yackey, Andrew Crossley, Carlos Cabrera, and Clayton Cowles. Really nice to see Hotz’s art here.

William Gibson’s Alien 3 #3 has the crap hit the proverbial fan as meddling with the xenomorphs begins to bear its deadly fruit. Johnnie Christmas, Tamra Bonvillain, and Nate Piekos are doing such an amazing job at adapting this for comics, it makes me kind of sad that it wasn’t the direction the films took.

Wizard Beach #2 continues the fun of the first issue, with Hex trying to get off the beach, build himself a castle, and hunt down tasty, delicious rats for lunch to no avail. Nice bits of humour and the introduction of a girl who Hex might well be smitten with, as well as a darker mystery involving her grandfather’s wand. Great art from Conor Nolan, Chad Lewis, and Meg Casey.

The Wrong Earth #5 has both of the dimension-displaced Dragonflies(flymen) continue to attempt to get back to their respective homes. Also, through flashbacks and monologues, I kind of get the impression that Tom Peyer is trying to tell us that both of them are thoroughly insane. There’s also the usual back-up comic and prose text pieces to round out the issue.

Young Justice #1 is the launch vehicle of the new Brian Michael Bendis-driven Wonder Comics line. If you look at it from a perspective of DC’s continuity, it’s probably very confusing. Many of the characters seem to be in their pre-New 52, even potentially pre-Infinite Crisis forms, Gemworld is attacking, Amethyst seems particularly bloodthirsty, and we’ve got a couple of inexplicable legacy characters in Jinny Hex and Teen Lantern, but...I think that confusion, that chaos and frenetic energy, is part of the point, since at the onset, the invaders from Gemworld are aware of the shifts in the multiverse. So maybe give it a chance to develop from there are clue us in on what’s ultimately going on? Regardless, there’s gorgeous action, interesting layouts, and fascinating design work from Patrick Gleason and Alejandro Sanchez.

That Vlog though
So considering my video editing skills are zilch. I though that even though I would love to push my boundaries, with such little time I thought I should probably not venture down the crazy video path. Ive decided that Im just going to speak to the camera like one of those girls in the millions of makeup youtube tutorials.
I looked back at my last post and had a think about if it was really what I wanted to say in my Vlog what I realised was that I don't so much want to speak about the technology, but more so about the practice of Creative Technologies I decide that my views on this approach are much more interesting than that of the technology itself. Im not sure what I was thinking when I wrote the last post.
I decided this after looking back on my last four weeks, in particular the Cards for Play project. How I had my first experience of Collaborating, working as a team using our different skills to produce our final project.
RESEARCH
After this change in direction I began researching some thoughts on creative technology. I used to think that creative technology was using technology in a creative way. And I don't think this is wrong at all as everything we have done so far has needed us to use technology creatively. However Ive learned it is so much more than that. When you first search what is Creative Technologies this pops up.
“Creative technology is a broadly interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary field combining Computer Technology, Design, Art and the Humanities. The field of Creative Technology encompasses art, product design, or advertising and media made with a software-based, electronic and/or data-driven engine.”
Wikipedia definition
Now I know wikipedia is no valid resource, but its definition did interest me. It touches on all aspects of Creative Tech, from the technology itself to the categories it covers, however it fails to emphasise this part here. “Creative technology is a broadly interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary field.” Now for me In my four week experience I have come to realise that it is this aspect of Creative Tech that is what it really is. This is actually a good definition of creative tech I believe, however it fails to identify what its broadness means.
I found that there are many other definitions that touched on the practice of Creative Tech but, like this Wiki definition failed to say what it’s broadness means. I even took to our own definition of creative technologies from the AUT website.
“When you study creative technologies, you’ll learn how to look at problems in the world and provide solutions that are unique. You’ll see how a spirit of collaboration, whether between students or between students and the industry, is beneficial in creating ideas that change and shape our world.”
Despite this quote more being about studying CT it does mention the point I want to emphasise. collaboration. This describes what I want to talk about however not in the context I want.
Eventually struck gold. I stumbled across AUT’s very own Stefan Marks and Andy Connors what seems to be a Bible. Named CREATIVE TECHNOLOGIES FOR MULTIDISCIPLINARY APPLICATIONS. Now at first I was like what the heck what is this but just under its surface are some really great ways of explaining what creative technologies really is.
“We have come to the conclusion that there is a power in not defining Creative Technologies as a discipline, but more as an approach of inquiry and action that can deliver outcomes that disciplinary approaches cannot.”
The texts words really hit me because I could so easily relate to it with my experience of creative technology. It was a great find, and for me really sums up what Creative technologies really is in my experience anyway.
I found an interesting statement that is similar to the quote I found also in the same book.
Post world war II. A man named Arthur Ragsdale - American Dairy science association said:
"Whether we are engaged in research, teaching, extension, milk production , processing, manufacturing or merchandising dairy products, we have before us the greatest opportunity in history. One lesson of this war is the possession of a sound and creative technologies tends to assure military and economic security.”
This quote really epitomises what Creative technology although it may not be directly related, it shows us that even back then people were beginning to realise the power of a multi disciplinary field. Rather than solving problems just one way why not come at it form several different angles. Exactly what creative technologies is today.
I managed to find another definition which I also took a liking to that epitomises what is said in the first definition from Creative Technologies for Multidisciplinary applications.
“The job title itself is less important than being open to a hands-on and holistic view of technology as part of communication, as part of business, as part of the human experience, and therefore as part of culture.”
Yet again describing this idea that Creative technologies is not so much about the technology its a way of approaching Technology.
In the comment section of this website, many people had left their own viewpoints on this definition. I found one of these comments very interesting from a guy named. Jon Andrews
“In my opinion, too many people call themselves a creative technologist when actually they’re creatives or planners with technical knowledge. Without the “doing” you’re not fusing creativity with technology – more than likely you’re leaving that for somebody else.”
Now I don't exactly agree with this comment as over the past few weeks I’ve learned about this thing called collaborating. For me collaborating is bringing skills other people posses that you may not as well as offering your skills in return that that person may not have in order to achieve the a final outcome.
I learned that in the Cards for Play project that working in a team allows you to produce an outcome that you would never be able to achieve alone. But together drawing from each others different skill sets you are able too. I don't think that idea that some people are false claiming to be a Creative Technologist is right as. No one will ever be able to be an expert in everything the field covers. For me collaboration is more so like the definition in Stefan and Andy’s text.
Being a creative technologist is the approach and inquiry in which you use the technology. If collaboration is part of this, you are still a Creative technologist.
For me Creative technology is not a definition of a discipline or job title, it is a way of going about using technology.
After this I began writing out a script if thats what you want to call it. Since I don't plan on having rapid changing frames and crazy motifs story boarding has no purpose but a script is the next best thing. I had some success with this however I am not very happy with my wording so far and there are a few more points I want to add in. Its so hard because there is so much to say and there is so little time.

Classical E&M III: The Electric Ambiance of Continuous Distributions
Multidimensional objects are more complex than points, but there is a method of relating the two. We can break multidimensional objects into tiny pieces that are qualitatively point-like. As the pieces become infinitesimally small, this relationship becomes exact:
In this way, multidimensional objects are translated into collections of points. We know the electric properties of point charges, and through that knowledge we'll derive the electric properties of generic charge configurations.
I. The Electric Field of a Line Charge, Infinitesimals
Consider a curve $C^\prime$ in $3$-space with total length $\ell^\prime$:
To begin, let’s assume this curve is uniformly charged.
“Charged” means it emits photons, whereas
“Uniformly” means it possesses only one type of charge (positive or negative) and each point of $C^\prime$ is equally likely to emit photons
For the time being, we restrict ourselves to positive-type charges. This means we don’t have to worry about positive and negative charges cancelling each other out. $C^\prime$ as a whole will be emitting photons at a certain rate $r_{C^\prime}$ proportional to its total charge $Q^\prime$.
Our intent--as mentioned in the intro--is to chop $C^\prime$ into tiny pieces and approximate each piece as a point charge. Thus, we partition $C^\prime$ into some large number $N^\prime$ of equal-length pieces:
Each partition piece has length $\Delta \ell_i^\prime = \ell^\prime /N^\prime$. In order to reproduce the total rate of photon emission (and because the charge is distributed uniformly over the curve), each piece needs to provide an emission rate equal to $r_{C^\prime}/N^\prime$. This implies a curious result: as $N^\prime$ gets larger, the number of pieces increase, and every piece contributes less to the total emission rate. Because emission rate is proportional to total charge (because there’s no positive/negative cancellations), any individual piece possesses less charge. In the limit that $N^\prime\rightarrow \infty$, the curve becomes equivalent to infinitely-many point charges, where each point has no charge!
Charge is evidently an inappropriate local quantity for a uniformly charged curve. This presents a roadblock on our path to continuous charge configurations. We can circumvent it by finding an alternative local quantity to work with. As usual, the trick lies in the problem: charge vanishes as the length of our partition pieces go to zero, so instead of considering charge outright let’s consider the linear charge density $\lambda_i^\prime$ per piece:
This has units of charge per length. For a uniformly charged curve cut into $N^\prime$ equal-length pieces, each piece has length $\Delta \ell^\prime_i = \ell^\prime /N^\prime$ and charge $\Delta q^\prime_i = Q^\prime /N^\prime$. Therefore,
where $\lambda_{C^\prime}$ is the total linear charge density of $C^\prime$, a finite result! Linear charge density let’s us rewrite the charge of each partition piece as,
We found this expression by considering a uniformly-charged, positively-charged curve, but--like we did when developing the integral calculus--we can reweight the charge contribution of each piece, so that $\lambda^\prime_i$ is a function along $C^\prime$. In doing so, we can access nonuniform line charges which possess differing amounts of (positive and negative) charge along their lengths.
Specifically, as the partition becomes infinitely fine, each point $\vec{r}^{\text{ }\prime}$ along the curve can be uniquely identified with an infinitely-short piece of curve possessing a certain linear charge density. The linear charge density thereby becomes a real-valued function $\lambda^\prime(\vec{r}^{\text{ }\prime})$ along $C^\prime$.
Now is as good as any time to introduce infinitesimal quantities. As $N^\prime \rightarrow \infty$, the charge of each piece technically vanishes ($\Delta q^\prime_i\rightarrow 0$). However, we can imagine “stopping short” of infinity and--in doing so--obtain a point-by-point identification of curve pieces yet somehow without fully removing the charge of each piece. If this seems too good to be true, it’s because it is. We must be careful to finish off that $N^\prime\rightarrow \infty$ limit before calling our calculation complete.
Warning: Infinitesimals are used widely throughout physics, oftentimes when juggling multiple limits. For example, sometimes we’ll break time into infinitesimal intervals while simultaneously breaking shapes into infinitesimal pieces. These are technically two different limits, so mixing them can cause trouble (recall how cautious we had to be when manipulating the double-limit in the Dirac delta post). Exercise caution when encountering infinitesimals in the wild.
It’s in this spirit that we talk about the infinitesimal charge $dq^\prime$ and the infinitesimal length $d\ell^\prime$ of each curve piece, which are related through the line charge density function $\lambda^\prime(\vec{r}^{\text{ }\prime})$ along $C^\prime$:
Hence, the infinitesimal limit associates every point $\vec{r}^{\text{ }\prime}$ with a point charge of strength $dq^\prime(\vec{r}^{\text{ }\prime})$. Of course, point charges produce electric fields, and $dq^\prime(\vec{r}^{\text{ }\prime})$ is no exception:
Because the charge is infinitesimally small, the electric field is also infinitesimally small. This encourages us to write the electric field with the lowercase $d$ we associated with other infinitesimals, yielding the label $d\vec{E}$. We also change the subscript on $d\vec{E}$ to reflect our intent to add up all of the electric field contributions along the curve:
We can rewrite this as a line integral contribution via the line charge density. In this case, an individual contribution becomes,
Note that this is a vector-valued object. In our integral calculus series, we discussed integrals of real-valued functions, but not vector-valued functions. How do we proceed?
II. Integrating Vector-Valued Functions
It turns out integration of vector-valued functions follows without much trouble if we assume that linearity of integrals plays nice with $3$-space vector operations.
Particularly, any element of $3$-space can be uniquely associated with three real numbers, called rectangular coordinates:
These coordinates are useful because they allow us to write vector addition and scalar multiplication with ease. Given two $3$-vectors $\vec{r}_1\equiv (x_1,y_1,z_1)$ and $\vec{r}_2\equiv (x_2,y_2,z_2)$, we can use vector addition to build a new $3$-vector labeled $\vec{r}_1+\vec{r}_2$, defined as,
Furthermore, given a real number $\alpha$, we can use scalar multiplication to transform $\vec{r}=(x,y,z)$ into a $3$-vector $\alpha\vec{r}$ defined as,
We will assume that integrals behave nicely with these properties, and treat the unit vectors $\hat{x}$, $\hat{y}$, $\hat{z}$ as constants. (This is true of our rectangular coordinates; there exist other coordinate systems of $3$-space which aren’t so lucky.)
Given a function $\vec{f}$ that maps $3$-vectors to $3$-vectors, we may decompose $\vec{f}$ into components,
Then we define the integral over a vector-valued function $f$ as a component-by-component operation, like so:
Although I’ve written this as a volume integral, the sentiment holds equally true for surface integrals and line integrals.
With this definition in mind, we can now add up the electric field contributions due to all the point charges along $C^\prime$, so that the electric field at $\vec{r}$ due to a line charge $\lambda^\prime$ equals,
We then find the force experienced by a target charge $q$ at $\vec{r}$ due to $\lambda^\prime$ by multiplying $\vec{E}_{C^\prime}(\vec{r})$ by $q$, so that we find,
III. The Electric Field of a Surface Charge
Let’s move on to the equivalent analysis of a surface charge. Again, by evenly distributing a finite amount of positive charge $Q^\prime$ over a surface $S^\prime$ we ensure that any point of $S^\prime$ contains only infinitesimal amounts of charge, thereby eliminating charge as a useful local metric of electric behavior.
Instead, a more appropriate local measure is the surface charge density $\sigma^\prime$. Its definition proceeds just like the line charge density: we divide $S^\prime$ into infinitely-many infinitely-small two-dimensional regions, so that each point $\vec{r}^{\text{ }\prime}$ on $S^\prime$ is uniquely identified with its own infinitesimal region. If the infinitesimal piece at $\vec{r}^{\text{ }\prime}$ has area $dA^\prime$ and charge $dq^\prime$, then the surface charge density $\sigma^\prime$ at $\vec{r}^{\text{ }\prime}$ is defined as,
such that it has units of charge per area. This allows us to transform the charged surface $S^\prime$ into point charges, each contributing an electric field amount equal to,
which combine to yield the electric field at $\vec{r}$ due to a surface charge $\sigma^\prime$:
as well as the force experienced by a target charge $q$ at $\vec{r}$ due to $\sigma^\prime$:
IV. The Electric Field of a Volume Charge
Finally, we distribute charge over a volume $V^\prime$. The appropriate local measure of charge is volume charge density, labelled $\rho^\prime(\vec{r}^{\text{ }\prime})$. To define volume charge density, we break $V^\prime$ into infinitesimals, each possessing some volume $d\tau^\prime$ and some charge $dq^\prime$. Subsequently, $\rho^\prime(\vec{r}^{\text{ }\prime})$ is defined as the multiplicative factor between the two.
Volume charge density has units of charge per volume. With this definition in place, each point charge contributes some infinitesimal amount of electric field,
which collectively generate the electric field at $\vec{r}$ due to a volume charge $\rho^\prime$:
and enable us to write the force experienced by a target charge $q$ at $\vec{r}$ due to $\rho^\prime$:
V. Combining Charge Densities into Generic Configurations
A fully generic charge density may be a combination of all of these objects. Suppose we have a charge configuration $CC^\prime$ made of point charges $q_{i_0}^\prime$ at $\vec{r}^{\text{ }\prime}_{i_0}$, line charges $\lambda^\prime_{i_1}$ on curves $C^\prime_{i_1}$, surface charges $\sigma^\prime_{i_2}$ on surfaces $S^\prime_{i_2}$, and volume charges $\rho^\prime_{i_3}$ on volume charges $V^\prime_{i_3}$. The electric field generated by $CC^\prime$ must be, by the principle of superposition,
If we place a point charge $q$ at a position $\vec{r}$, it will experience a force due to $CC^\prime$ equal to,
There we go: we now know how to calculate the electric properties of any distribution of charges throughout $3$-space. It’s worth noting that if we wanted, we could utilize Dirac deltas to express all charge densities as volume charge densities. Given a volume $V^\prime$ that encompasses a point charge $q^\prime$ at $\vec{r}^{\text{ }\prime}$, a line charge density $\lambda^\prime$ on $C^\prime$, and a surface charge density $\sigma^\prime$ on $S^\prime$, physicists will sometimes write,
Note that the units work out appropriately for these to be volume charge densities. However, these expressions are technically incorrect because Dirac deltas may only exist within integrals. Only in that context may these expressions be utilized without jeopardizing mathematical consistency.
And so, we’ve generalized the “source” aspect of electrostatics. Next week, we generalize our target charges and calculate the force between two generic charge configurations. See you then!

Wait wait forget that last one! All letters for Anakin and Rayne! Because I have heard very little on your headcanons about her
Okay so Rayne and Anakin.. here you goI feel by I got to Anakin I was rather tired and I didn't get to write as well as I could have maybe ill come back and add to his later.  but I'm proud of Rayne’s
RayneA = Aftercare (What the are like after sex):Depends on who she is with. If Rayne was to hook up with someone she didnt have a emotional connection with it would be quick and dirty. she would be. dry and sarcastic with them and ultimately leave them quickly after sex. Likely she wouldnt have even given the other person her name. Rayne in my opinion though sensual isnt overly sexual however because of mother being a rape victim. So there is a bit of a stigma there.  I dont feel she would be prone wo giving much after care to those she slept with if she didnt feel much for them. However IF she had a emotional connection with them I feel things would be entirely different. I feel her feelings about the other persons experiences would be paramount. She would want to make sure her lover was satiated by the encounter. Say she is with Mynce. Who to me is who I wish was her endgame ship. (alas)  Id say after sex, it would be intense between the dhampires . I think Rayne would be for once herself satiated. Lazy and calm, Probably finding some sort of resting state after the act. Especially if it was rather rough sex Which isnt unlikely as the two women have a rather sparring based relationship..ive been ranting but I hope I answered this somewhat okayB = Body part (Their favourite body part of theirs and also their partners) I think Raynes favorite body part?.Her breasts.. I mean they are pretty great in that latex top and they did get her into that issue of playboy. Sorry I had to make that joke. ..but no .   But in her true appreciation of herself? her natural eyes before the eye of beliar incident when one turned red When her eyes both green/her one green eye.  She loves her eye color.  It makes her think of her humanity and there is just something she likes about that, it makes her think of her mother and what she could have been like. What does Rayne like a lot about Mynce im going with Mynce okay) Rayne loves Mynce’s legs. there is something about seeing them in those thigh leather boots. Rayne always loved the way they looked on herC = Cum (Anything to do with cum basically im a disgusting person)Oh man, this question.. what do I say.. I feel like people wont like my Rayne headcanon on this for MY Rayne  everyone makes her hypersexual in fic and art . but I have never seen her that way as the daughter of a act of rape ..I see her as very traumatized ..yes I will keep bringing this up  so as I saidso eh, this question. Rayne doesnt like the taste of it. if we are talking about male cum She would definitely be a spitter I feel. sorry guys. (I just trashed all your dreams male followers)
D = Dirty Secret (Pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs)Rayne is a secret gun/knife play fetishist .  but is the much of a secret. She does carry quite the arsenal with her everywhere. Rayne also in the past has made extra cash on the side as a online dominatrix. Its all too easy for her to be mean to people online. after all she holds pretty much everyone in contemptE = Experience (How experienced are they? Do they know what they are doing?)Rayne is moderately experienced, people like to act like she has been more then around the block because of her good looks but she has her reserved nature in her own way because of her past. Still she isnt a virgin eitherF = Favourite Position (This goes without saying. Will probably include a visual). Rayne likes to be on top and in control if she is being penetrated by someone. (I word this this way because , strap ons are a thing. it dosnt have to be a guy . I mean it can be but you know ) if she is ˜giving Rayne is literally and figuratively pretty flexible and willing to adapt to most positions but she likes seeing the other persons face if she loves them and dosnt want to see the other persons face at all if she dosnt.G = Goofy (Are they more serious in the moment, or are they humorous, etc)Rayne has a sarcastic dry wit that follows her into the bedroom, she is sly and seductive but if you can crack her seductive charm you might find a slightly awkward goofy girl who is just trying to push everyone else away with her snark. few people can ˜cure her of her dry wit. maybe a good orgasm from her true love would do that hahaH = Hair (How well groomed are they, does the carpet match the drapes, etc.) Ah the important question. is it crimson red? is there any?  Rayne isnt bushy down there but she trims it, she likes the crimson color that matches her hair. its too striking a color to shave all off.I = Intimacy (How are they during the moment, romantic aspect) Rayne is not usually openly romantic, but for someone very special? she would make sure her appreciation was known.  Actually I feel if she was feeling romantic she would be awkward. possibly blushy for a undead and shifty eyed. she probably would struggle to speak up he feelings .. maybe she would snuggle up to her lover while trying to get her wishes across.J = Jack Off (Masturbation headcanon) I think Rayne is prone to getting off rather often, her job is stressful. she needs the outlet. and needs something other then murder for release. not that murder isnt a release for her. lets be honest. is it. but She goes ˜home throws her blades down and slides her latex off.  Slides back on her bed and goes to town. Rayne also likes fingering herself a lot but she has to be careful.. them fingernails.K = Kink (One or more of their kinks) besides what I said? well clearly latex and I think dirty talk.. Rayne can have a mouth on her. also blood? blood should be obviousL = Location (Favourite places to do the do) On the battlefield dosnt count? In a enemy bunker has been a thing once when Mynce was undercover as a Nazi officer and Rayne had just been reunited with her M = Motivation (What turns them on, gets them going) A sexy voice, a good fitting uniform. a sharp blade and a lovers touchN = NO (Something they wouldnt do, turn offs) rape play, EVER submit to someone she didnt absolutely didnt love and trust O = Oral (Preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc) I think she is quite skilled. I like to think vampires would tend to be, but I tell you Rayne is a messy eater in general. she is bound to make a mess in this too. and she loved both giving and receiving again if she likes the other person, if not its all receiving P = Pace (Are they fats and rough? Slow and sensual? etc.)I think she is a mix of both honestly. she can start teasingly slow and sensual and build up to fast and rough. perhaps ending with a slow soothing aftercareQ = Quickie (Their opinions on quickies rather than proper sex, how often, etc.)Its a quickie usually, but with Mynce, she will make time for the proper deal.R = Risk (Are they game to experiment, do they take risks, etc.).. I think she is more of a risk taker but at the same time she has her boundaries.S = Stamina (How many rounds can they go for, how long do they last) many rounds if she wants, she has vampiric reflexes after all. so yeah , much stamina.T = Toy (Do they own toys? Do they use them? On a partner or themselves?) all the toys now a days, in WWII not as much  but now , she has a whole kinky closetful, has to pass time some how.  She likes to show them to her partners and see their shocked faces. “What’ you expect baby? you saw the latex”U = Unfair (how much they like to tease) Oh it’ all teasing with Rayne. she loves a good teasesV = Volume (How loud they are, what sounds they make). Rayne “oozes” out sound. she moans , not screams .W = Wild Card (Get a random headcanon for the character of your choice) Rayne has quite the lingerie collection. she has been given a lot of it be would be suitors or for weird infiltration missions. Rayne wears them around the house actually. Just for kicks.X = X-Ray (Lets see whats going on in those pants, picture or words) Well I dont have a picture for you, but she certainly doesnt look bad? its hard for me to describe it to you . I feel this is more geared to male characters.. ehY = Yearning (How high is their sex drive?) Moderate to rather high , I feelZ = ZZZ ( how quickly they fall asleep afterwards. Rayne falls asleep quickly after sex if she is with Mynce, if she is with someone else she is too busy getting herself home or kicking the other person out of her house.and on to the next one .Anakin
A = Aftercare (What theyre like after sex) content cuddly, holds the other person after sex
B = Body part (Their favourite body part of theirs and also their partners) His favorite part of his body his chest, he would like to think he looks alright. as for his partner. he likes his partners stomach ¦its very soft and smooth lol
C = Cum (Anything to do with cum basically im a disgusting person) Well when he does, there is a lot of it. that midichlorian count lol he makes a messD = Dirty Secret (Pretty self explanatory, a dirty secret of theirs) Anakin is into that asphyxia you guys, like real bad you guys. I mean have you seen Vader?E = Experience (How experienced are they? Do they know what they are  doing?) Not super experienced, but makes up for it in earnest with a desire to please. F = Favourite Position (This goes without saying. Will probably include a visual)  Any position where he can look into his lovers eyes, see their face. speak to them. perhaps holding them up if the’ll let himG = Goofy (Are they more serious in the moment, or are they humorous, etc) I think it depends.  Prefall. humorous.”Vaderkin” serious H = Hair (How well groomed are they, does the carpet match the drapes, etc.) Its the weird tawny blonde brown and no its not shavedI = Intimacy (How are they during the moment, romantic aspect) Oh he is actuall sap machine, the most overly lovey romantic and tries to make the bond known between the two of you .. depending on who is love is .. but lets go with Padme in this situation .. so yeah.. actual  awkward sap machine.J = Jack Off (Masturbation headcanon) he has to use his left hand because his right hand is his durasteel/gloved hand. and it would chafe or be cold and unfeeling robot arm lol. so yeah he would rather use the flesh hand and pretend it is someone elseK = Kink (One or more of their kinks) praise kink, breath play, power playL = Location (Favourite places to do the do) oddly enough in public. he really wanted to do it in that meadow on naboo with Padme. just to claim her and have the world know they belonged to each other.M = Motivation (What turns them on, gets them going) Passion, intensity, sparring both in battle and in wit N = NO (Something they wouldnt do, turn offs) Anything that would actively harm or demean someone he loved in a way they didnt want.O = Oral (Preference in giving or receiving, skill, etc) Loves receiving and giving , skill? not super skilled as far as how many partners he has been with but makes up for the fact that he is dedicated to making his lover feel good. P = Pace (Are they fast and rough? Slow and sensual? etc.). He likes slow and sensual and tries for it but he cant always control himself and falls into his natural pace which is fast and rough.Q = Quickie (Their opinions on quickies rather than proper sex, how often, etc.). he likes quickies. I think he finds them fun. though proper sex is preferred he is used to quickies what with missions and senate meetings.R = Risk (Are they game to experiment, do they take risks, etc.) take risks all the way. he is that way in normal life , I feel though hed be a bit nervous about it in sex .. he would still take risks in this as wellS = Stamina (How many rounds can they go for, how long do they last) He actually has a lot stamina, Jedi abilities and all , he could probabaly go more rounds then the average guy if he really tried. T = Toy (Do they own toys? Do they use them? On a partner or themselves?) sadly no, lacking them possessionsU = Unfair (how much they like to tease) As much as he would say other wise he is all teasing and chiding.V = Volume (How loud they are, what sounds they make) he is actually quite audible. Id say he almost makes a sound akin to a whine at times and I HATE using that term because its ANAKIN and we cant say that aaaagh WHINY AND ANAKIN ..OMG NO I DONT EVEN WANT TO RELATE ITW = Wild Card (Get a random headcanon for the character of your choice)X = X-Ray (Lets see whats going on in those pants, picture or words) I dont want to be cliche but I honestly dontt headcanon him as âs˜small  then again ive seen a certain fanart and he isnt that large as that either, its realistically largeY = Yearning (How high is their sex drive?) Moderate-high. he has trained himself not to be too distracted by such things but still the distract him often enoughZ = ZZZ ( how quickly they fall asleep afterwards) It takes some time for him to fall asleep. He spends his time, thinking about what just transpired, looking at his lover. Finding a reprieve from his negative thoughts. he “pets” them, running a hand through their hair, slowly letting himself drift to sleep

600cc sports bike good for a beginner? gsxr600 or zx6r?

I plan on really taking it veryyyyy easy the first summer out and not pushing anything untill i feel extremly comfortable with it. My question is should i get this for a first bike? Im not getting a 250 dont even bother with that. Re Insurance?
I took out an insurance policy with swinton Insurance they quoted me 250.00 I agreed to this amount. I have been driving for over 12 years with no claim made against my policy. Due to the way my previous insurer only counted 5 years no claims bonus insurance that is all they have a record plus three years I was with them. Because the new insurer uses 9 years no claims they now want me to pay an extra 22.00 I know on the one hand this is not a lot of money on the other hand I don't see why I should have to pay it. They are saying If I don't pay it they will cancel it and charge a cancellation charge does anyone know the legal situation whether I have to pay by law or not.

""Oh crap, what am I going to do? Car insurance?""
This might be long but PLEASE READ EVERYTHING. When I was 15 my grandfather (Legally my father, always lived with him) had always promised me he would get me driver's ed but he never did. A few months before I was 18 I moved out and in an apartment with my fiance. My fiance went to college 5 hours away the day after my 18th. After I turned 18 (July 25) I wanted to get my license, and I know how to do it. My fiance came back from college last weekend and took me to buy a used car for 400. Its a beater, but it drives. It has no insurance and no license plates. Im caught in a super circle. I cant get to SOS or DMV to even apply for my permit without 1) a ride and 2) insurance. I cant get plates to even drive it illegally without a license. I cant get insurance because, from what Im figuring out, just about no body will insure someone without a license. My grandfather will -not- put me on his insurance to save our lives and I need a car to get back and forth to work. (Walking 5 miles? Nah...) What am I supposed to do???? I cant pay a whole lot for insurance as Im now living alone in an apartment on a crappy salary. I had a decent salary until my work decided to super hire and how we are severely over staffed... ""Where can I find affordable health insurance in Tucson, AZ?""
Anyone have any suggestions on inexpensive healthcare. I am disabled and we survive on my wife's income. Our current health insurance premiums are $1150.00 per month (it goes up about $150 per year). We are at our breaking point because we are soon going to have to decide what to cut from our budget (the house, food or health insurance). Because I am disabled no one will insure me. The insurance we have now we had before I became disabled so they can't kick me out. I'm afraid that if we don't have insurance something could happen to me, my wife or kids that would require a hospital visit and could run in the thousands or tens of thousands. I don't want to have to go bankrupt because I couldn't afford to have coverage. I had a stay in the hospital two years ago and the total bill was $60,000.00. the insurance covered all but $3000.00. If anyone has any suggestions I would appreciate it.""

What is the best way to use technology in comparing insurance premiums for MEDICARE costing?
Many of the baby boomer generation will shortly be reviewing insurance costs for our retirement years - health, medical, prescription and the like. We will need to make decisions based upon retirement income and expenses. I have done some preliminary research and it appears I need to do a lot more. The data for health and medical costs is easily available however there is a ton of it. For this reason, I intend to use spreadsheets to crunch through this and any other tech tool I can locate. One of the problems with this approach is that just about every quote is proprietary, that is each quote has its own bells and whistles which make it more or less expensive than the next company. Although I have spreadsheet skills, I can visualize that any template I make must provide for more assumptions than I want to make. From the above it's clear to me that I need some kind of generic (FREE) spreadsheet template that is not proprietary, combines monthly income and expense (insurance premiums counted as expenses), is not locked in terms of making formula adjustments, and has the ability to forecast. If this is as clear as mud to you, welcome to the crowd. Surely, there are fill in the blanks templates dealing with MEDICARE comparative cost determination. If there are and you are aware of them, please let me know. I would be in your debt. Regards, Rich F. Florida""

Top 11 Lightroom shortcuts
My Top 11 Lightroom shortcuts
Lightroom, like most adobe software, has A LOT of shortcut keys, 254 of them to be precise and all of which are designed to help us navigate quickly thought our post-processing. Also, each of the different modules (library, develop etc...) has different ones.
I was pretty shocked when I actually counted them, and I only use/know a small percentage of them. A lot of them are standard, others are very precise, and some are very cheeky too. With so many, writing a post on it is not easy, so I have decided to share some of my favourite and most used shortcuts in the Develop Module...  my pick of the lot I guess. It is not an exhaustive list, as there are many others, these are just the lesser known ones that I thought you all might not know or don't use often. If you want to see the complete list it is on the Adobe Website HERE.
I. The Ultimate Cheat - Show all short-cuts
This is a great one...  if you press Ctrl + / (PC) or Cmd + / (Mac), and you will get a list of all usable shortcuts in that module appear. Easy! :D Just click the list to make it disappear! This works in all modules.
II. Auto-tone single setting
If you press Shift while clicking the name of a parameter, LR with automatically set that one feature. This is particularly useful for blacks and whites, as it expands the histogram to the limits of each. If you want to reset any setting to 0, just double click the name.
III. Change cloning location
The Spot Removal Tool (which you can activate by pressing Q) is great for removing unwanted distractions in your image such as dust spots. But sometimes it does not select the best point as a reference for fixing the problem. If you press / it will keep selecting different places until you get a better option. You can also drag the selected area with your mouse to a part of the image you want.
IV. Flip gradient
This is great for landscapes. Generally for a landscape i try and use filters to get a better exposure of the sky and land both, but I don't carry filters with me a the time, so using the Gradient feature in post is often required (accessed though pressing M). In these situations, I try to shoot the scene to capture as much information as possible, which tends to mean both the sky and land is not correctly exposed. I use one Gradient to fix the sky, and another one to fix the land. the problem is often getting the gradients to overlap well. This is where this shortcut is great!
Make the first Gradient with the adjustments you need for the sky (hold shift to keep straight)
Duplicate the Gradient by right-clicking
Then press "," (apostrophe) and that duplicated layer will flip, the perfect inversion of the original Gradient, perfect for the next adjustments... :)
V. Straighten image
As much as I try, I am not perfect at getting 100% level images, so I have to crop slightly to fix the problem.
By pressing the Ctrl (PC) or Cmd (Mac) key while using crop (R is the shortcut for crop tool) you get a level bar that you can draw on the horizon. The image will then adjust an crop to straighten the image.
VII. Copy paste changes
This is probably the most used shortcut I use. If I have a series of images in the same conditions, I can optimise one of them (WB, contrast, exposure etc...) then copy the adjustments by pressing Ctrl + Shift + C (PC) or Cmd + Shift + C (Mac). You can even select WHICH settings you want to copy too. Then I select other images in the series and press Ctrl + Shift + V PC) or Cmd + Shift + V (Mac) to Paste these adjustments...  :)
VI. Go big
I do all my editing on a 15 inch MacBook Pro. It is a great little computer, but the screen has little room for me to see everything. If you press F on an image it will go fill go full-screen and allow me to see it as large as possible. I use it a lot when editing to see the whole scene as large as possible.
VIII. Before/after
Pressing \ will switch between the edit and the original image. Great for seeing how you are doing. :)
IX. SHOW/HIDE PAINT OVERLAY
When using any local adjustments, you can see where you are adjusting by showing the overlay. Press O to switch between overlay on or off.
Normally the overlay is Red, but sometimes this is not easiliy visible. Press Shift + O to cycle the over-lay colours :)
X. Eraser for local adjustments
When applying a local adjustment, I frequently have to erase areas I had applied incorrectly. Instead of switching to the eraser tool, you can hold Alt (PC) or Option (Mac) when painting to temporarely switch to the eraser.
XI. Open in Photoshop
Although I do 99% of my post-production in Lightroom, sometimes i need the power of Photoshop... just press Ctrl + E (PC) or Cmd + E (Mac) when on the image, and it will open it in Photoshop. When saving it in PS, it will automatically add it to the library too. Great integration. :)
As I said at the start, this is not exhaustive, but just some of my favourite ones... and only in the Develop module too! Are there any new ones for you or did you now them all already? Did I leave any out that you really like? Do let me know! :)

Much Ado About SPN
Friends, writers, tumblr people, lend me your ears...
Tumblr media
For those of you who do not know, I (Angel, @whispersandwhiskerburn) am a teacher. I love to teach writing and reading to students—and I love reading and writing fanfiction. So, when I reached the AMAZING milestone of 1.5K FOLLOWERS, I decided to celebrate with my fellow writers with a challenge that marries the two—my love of teaching literature and writing and my love of spn fanfiction.
Tumblr media
Every writer goes on a journey. They start with the ABCs and it's amazing how many wonders just 26 letters can create—it's all about how you use them. Of course, reading helps; good readers become good writers, and good writers are always looking for a way to challenge themselves, in reading and writing. One of the most challenging, most famous, and best writers that ever lived made wonderful stories that are read and taught to this day—all with the same 26 letters that we use.
So, that's the inspiration for this challenge. The letters of the alphabet—and one of the greatest writers of all time: William Shakespeare.
Tumblr media
The idea is to use at least two (all three if you can) of the alphabet prompts AND the Shakespeare line—you do NOT have to use Shakespeare's wording, just be inspired by the theme of the quote.
Rules and Accepting the Challenge:
1. Must be following me....it's a follower celebration, so yeah. New followers are welcome though, so feel free to follow, then ask. :)
2. Send an ASK with your requested prompt by letter and quote number. First come, first choice—and there are only 25 prompts (I deleted x) so you'd better hurry! I want to give everyone a chance to sign up, so don't ask for a second prompt until after March 10th, please!        NOTE: If you ask anonymously...you're silly. I can't sign you up if I don't know who you are?
3. Any character from the show is welcome, but not cast members for this challenge (Dean/Sam/Castiel etc., not Jensen/Jared/Misha). Ships are fine, (exceptions: no non-con and no Samifer, since Lucifer totally raped him) but reader-inserts are preferred.
4. Any genre: SFW, NSFW, AU, angst, fluff, smut, or any combination thereof, just please tag appropriately.
5. No maximum length limit, but if it is more than 800 words, include a read-more link, or I won't reblog it. Should be at least 500 words. One shots, drabbles, series pieces, combinations with other challenges/requests—all are totally cool.
6. Tag me (@whispersandwhiskerburn) in the header somewhere. I will reblog these with feedback and add them all to a masterlist. I want to post the masterlist on Shakespeare's birthday which is celebrated on April 23rd, so the deadline for fics is April 20th. Also, please tag the fic with #MuchAdoAboutSPN and #Angel's1.5k within the first 5 tags.
7. Try and post your fic on or before the day it’s due, April 20th 2017, but it’s okay if it’s late. Life happens!
8. Have fun!!
Tumblr media
Sign Ups! Once a prompt combo has been chosen, I will write the blog's name beside the letter and move the Shakespearean quote to this list. Any Shakespearean quotes still under the prompts lower in this post are still up for grabs. If the letter in this section has a blog tag beside it, it's taken, so ask for a different one! Happy writing everyone (and if you want to discuss your quote, please message or ask me—I'm an English teacher who loves Shakespeare, so bring it)!
STATUS: Prompts are closed everyone! Deadline is April 20th, and I look forward to your fics!

Z @thegreatficmaster, 38.  “Pray you now, forget and forgive.” (King Lear IV.7).
Alphabet Prompts (A-Z): Choose a letter and (if I give you the okay!) include at least 2 (3 if you can) of the associated SPN topics in your fic.
**You'll notice that none of the major characters of the show are listed—anyone can write about Dean, even if they don't have the letter D. These characters/objects/themes need to appear in your fic, and should have some importance to plot, but just because you choose Meg Masters, it doesn’t mean you have to write a Meg x Reader fic (though, if you want to, that’s cool too), savvy?
Tumblr media
Shakespeare Quotes/Phrases (1-40): Choose a Shakespearean line and (if I give you the okay!) let it inspire your fic. You certainly can, but you do not have to include Shakespeare's actual words in your writing. Like I tell my students, “The Bard (Shakespeare) wrote in a different time and the language has changed. That doesn't mean that what he has to say isn't still relevant—you've just got to look harder.”
