Identity: I use he/him pronouns, but I’m also cool with people using they/them pronouns on me as well, but I do like using more masculine pronouns for my comfort :,)

I have been professionally diagnosed with Autism, ADHD, BPD, Schizophrenia and OCD, I am a little bit more severe with my Autism (but not so high, ifykwim) so I may not understand a lot of social cues or tones in words or voices and etc, so just be mindful of this please and be kind to me and also everyone :)

Hey, so I guess this is a bit about me. I put some basic info up top but here I’ll get a bit more in-depth. I try to be an open book. I have multiple disorders which I’ll list, keep these in mind if you decide to chat with me. I have ADHD, Agoraphobia, Anxiety (Social and Generalized), Borderline Personality Disorder, Delusion Disorder, DID, Insomnia, OCD, PTSD, and Nightmare Disorder. Due to this I struggle with paranoia sometimes and am not only kin but some are also IRLs and I have Alters due to the delusion disorder and DID. Anyways that enough of that information.

Sollux Captor was tired of dying. He'd done it so many times, too many for his liking. Prospit, Derse, half, half again, resurrection, death, whatever. He had lost track of how many times he'd met his demise. It was a privelege that he and his dancestor alone had, possessing two dream selves. It'd all just been thrown to the winds. The fate of the dream moons was unfortunate, and he'd never really had a good night's sleep in the first place, what with the cacophony of voices in his ears. He'd adjusted to it in time, but that didn't make it any better.

He - and the rest of the trolls - really owed their lives to Feferi, however ironic it was that they were technically dead. An existence in the dream bubbles was enough, and he craved her company as well. She was just... bright and bubbly, and kept them all positive even through the hardest of times. As a Mage of Doom, he was quite the pessimist, but a smile forced itself onto his lips whenever she did her best to cheer them up. He thought of the Condesce for a moment, and wondered how it was possible that she was descended from such a tyrant.

His eyes, hollowed and blackened unlike those of his friends and fellow trolls, swept across the landscape in front of him. The deadened white that the others' held made for staring as vacant as his own had been. He knew that his real eyes - the dichotomy of red and blue, the colours that had dictated his life beyond the yellow of his blood - had made him rather blank-looking, as they didn't let in emotion as much as normal ones would. He hated that, and didn't want to come off as cold as he was.  

Sollux was a bit of an asshole at times, and he wasn't going to attempt to deny that. It was a blatant fact, really, especially when it came to a certain violetblood. Eridan got on his nerves, and it wasn't just because of the fact he'd been knocked out at one point in a 'very poorly executed a22a22iinatiion attempt' by the seadweller. The amount of times he had been asked to fill Eridan's black quadrant was yet another thing he couldn't keep track of in his head. He held off, simply because he knew it'd hurt Eridan more than filling it.

The troll was friends with Karkat, though, and so his eyes finally landed on the disguised mutantblood after a while of searching. It was a relief to see a familiar face in the crowd, and one that looked mildly disgruntled was better than none. Karkat could be rather brash at times, he knew that much, and he was relieved to see that the other hadn't died. As harsh as that sounded, it was the truth. He wanted silence, not that he ever got it, but as much silence as was possible, so he waited for someone to approach him to talk rather than the other way around.

His mind began to wander when no one approached him for a few minutes, and his thoughts strayed to those about his hive, and how he had left it, for all he knew, abandoned. Sollux didn't know if he'd ever get back there, especially because of the looming threat of death in its finality, as strange and as novel as that seemed to someone like him. He was like a cat, but with not quite as many lives to spare. He had no idea if the workers in his beehouses were dead or not. Although he no longer needed the mind honey to feed his Biclops lusus, it still worried him.

His lusus had been an extremely important part of his life for as long as he could remember. Sure, he had to feed it the mind honey to keep him from being as much of an idiot as he would normally feel inclined to be. It had been quite the task to get the mind honey to him, and in some ways Sollux was almost glad to be free of him. Additionally, it made for two extra heads to feed. As a lowblood, Sollux had often encountered problems to do with money, or gaining things in a more general sense. Though not a big problem, it was irritating.

He hated that he was belittled because of the colour of his blood, even if he wasn't as low as Karkat - who proved to be one of his best friends - or Tavros, who suffered even more due to his movement issues. He could sympathise with those lower than him on the dreaded hemospectrum as much as he liked. That didn't change that he was rather well off regardless of being mustardblooded.  He was a largely gifted psionics user, and had hacking skills that were unparalleled in the whole of Alternia.

He waved to Karkat, though wasn't exactly sure whether or not the Knight of Blood had seen him do so. His thoughts whirled even though the voices were quieter, and he wanted some kind of a distraction. The droning in his ears had become all but a nuisance, as they didn't bother him any more. He was busy enough to block them out mostly, though they were louder and louder and became impossible to ignore most of the time, however much he tried. It was just an inevitability, and an eventuality.

When Eridan approached Sollux instead, the man's obnoxious, loud voice carrying all the way to his ears, he tensed. He was on the other side of the room, and even though that put a considerable amount of space between them, that was hardly enough. Not thii2 guy. Plea2e, II don't want to deal wiith hiim. He thought this immediately afterwards, a small frown coming to his lips. Though they were just thoughts, he would have liked to express them. He thought it best not to in case the Ampora or any of the royal's friends overheard.

"Pii22 off, Eriidan."

He muttered these three simple words loud enough for only Eridan to hear, delighted to see that the seadweller's otherwise confident stride had faltered for a few moments. He didn't want Eridan to be anywhere near him, and he intended to make that clear enough that even the stupidest troll could understand it - one similar to Eridan in Sollux's eyes. Sure, it was unbecoming of the two to interact in the first place, as each had their role, but they were clearly black for each other to some degree.

Sollux hated Eridan beyond kismesitude some days, but he didn't want to say this at all, lest he was forced to actually fill a quadrant with the other. His relationships weren't to be wasted, especially since he was an incredibly doomed individual, and he did consider Eridan a complete waste of space, time and energy. For this reason, he didn't say or react any more to the seadweller, deeming that the best course of action. He instead left, going as far away from the other as possible.

He hadn't known what Eridan was doing after that, and just how sensitive the seadweller had been to his short but unquestionably harsh comment. Unbeknownst to Sollux, the troll had been armed to the teeth as always, but he had even gone so far this time as to employ methods beyond his 'WWhite Sciences'. Though deadly in their own right, and believed to have been bestowed to him by the fearsome 'angels' of his land, they were hardly enough to deal with what he desired, in his eyes clouded by a violet-coloured rage.

He pulled out his bicoloured husktop, humming happily to himself as he opened Trollian. He wanted to get his friend's attention, as Karkat had never responded to his waving or other gestures, and he needed to glean some kind of relief from the mutantblood's familiar presence. Even if 'kk' talked his ears off or made him go entirely deaf - as well as his fated blindness - it remained so much better than being around Eridan for any sort of extended period of time. Over time, his hatred only grew.

However fast Sollux could have typed, it wouldn't be fast enough. And he typed fast, due to the immense length of some of the codes that he made or typed out. His speed was especially owing to the ~ATH codes that he, and only he, had the expertise and control to use. The bright blue-white beam of Ahab's Crosshairs arced through the barely-lit room, streaking past every other bewildered troll to reach its true target. Karkat hadn't had the time to even run over to his mustardblooded friend before the laser hit Sollux square in the chest.

Sollux Captor was tired of dying, and he'd finally be laid to rest.

okay i liked SO much of this but had SO many things to say--im slapping this under a readmore too, enjoy!!

honestly as much as i love the idea that dunmer suit them due to the whole 'schemeing is openly encouraged and accepted' as evidenced by the telvanni and morag tong (among other things), i really like orsimer or altmer for equius because of the sense of duty attached! both of them have very strong ideas of whats 'right'/stricter codes of conducts than a lot of other tamrielic races and i think that suits equius well

as much as i like alfiq nepeta, i also really like ohmes nepeta--or just ohmes in general maybe? the idea that they could in some way pass as something other than khajiit for spy purposes is REALLY cool--PLUS the comedic effect of her seeming like shes TOO into cats and then she takes you home to her mother who is a fuck-off huge cat????

i never thought about argonian aradia but i REALLY fucking like that--i like pretty much any opportunity to stray away from man and mer, and aradia is no exception! that being said, im not sure if id peg her as a necromancer or more something along the lines of dunmer ancestor worship/shamanism? or even if she 'engages' at all with that, since im sure naturally-occuring psychics/mediums exist. then again, how do we explore how she 'died'? dwemer aradia maybe?

eridan and feferi are some im a little torn on--eridan exists firmly within the altmer/maormer zone for me, edging potentially on dunmer (read: contracted lusus culling), but feferi im not so sure about! she lives mostly underwater, so argonian makes sense, but culturally, it almost feels like shed be a less persnickety altmer to account for her social standing but want for equality

terezi, ive already touched on here! i do think shed make a good argonian, but i also think making her visually draconic is a little overrated, so ka po' tun would fit surprisingly well! other than that, i dont really know enough about her character to say for certain where else shed fit

gamzee exists in a LOT of corners in my mind but i do like argonian gamzee--but i agree that whether its by choice or not, hes very firmly connected to sheogorath

kanaya could be a cool altmer, but i can also see her as a breton--still elegant, but more down-to-earth. plus! the bretons are based on irl bretons, who predominantly inhabit france, which takes us to french fashion? no? then again, radiant raiment is ran by two altmer women so honestly im not sure about her--half and half, maybe?

karkat is dunmer through and through--especially post-red year, since their voices are so greatly affected by the ash! theres also some fun explorations to be done with the sixth house, ancestor worship, or possibly the ashlanders? i really dont see karkat liking the idea of a living tribunal tavros i dont have much to say about because i absolutely agree, but i also am conflicted there because! as stated on tavross wiki page, “ Tavros and his ancestor The Summoner are both similar to character "Morihaus" from the Elder Scrolls, a winged minotaur revolutionary who is the son of the goddess of breath, wind, and animals.” so.............. minotaur tavros anyone?

sollux... i cant really think of him as anything other than dwemer, LMAO--he reads as the skeptic in any situation, so i doubt hed even care for living gods since the dwemer knew the aedra and daedra were real but just... didnt care? plus youve got the computer stuff which has to translate into /something/, right?

23. What is a random fact about your OC?

Let’s just do the mains:

At the beginning of the story, Adalyce is probably the only person alive who has opened the Book of the First Ages.

Aldan is allergic to cat hair. Sadly for him, everyone in his entourage seems to love feeding stray cats.

Danae never did the two to five years of religious novitiate all highborn Mesanian girls are supposed to do. She was actually studying at the Academy of Medicine at the time.

Darren is the tallest character of the series so far, towering at 6′6 / 197cm.

Elysa has a broken tooth! A front tooth, actually. It was mended, but you can still see clearly the silver they used to weld it back together whenever she smiles.

Lith is the most religious character of the main cast (although not the most spiritual). He is no zealot, but he is genuinely attached to his faith.

25. What inspired you to create them / how did you create them? Were they originally a fancharacter? What was their personality / design like when you first made them?

All of the mains were originally fan OCs, except Aldan, who was inspired by an existing character. They all really thrived when I decided to put them in Allastra, though, and are little like what they were initially.

Example: although she was always a warrior, Elysa was originally a lot more delicate and feminine outside of battle. Now she’s bolder, blunter, and goofier, and I love her all the more for it. On the other hand, Aldan was more macho in his early days, a fighter first and an artsy soul as a footnote. Now he’s definitely more of an artist, hardly a fighter at all, and very comfortable in his androgyny.

What are the bathing habits of the Homestuck Trolls?

This ask felt like a live grenade staring at me from my inbox but:

Aradia: Bathes frequently and lengthily once she has the means, definitely uses bath bombs and texts with a miraculous lack of reasonable fear of dropping her phone in the water.

Tavros: Hates bathing, takes 2 minute cold showers every morning and never washes his hair. He has never considered that a warm shower or other bathing method might be more enjoyable.

Sollux: Showers every 2 days in scalding temperatures, also shaves in the shower, has fallen asleep in the shower, and eaten in the shower on separate occasions. Uses kids shampoo/body washes for the fun smells. Sees nothing wrong with peeing in the shower.

Nepeta: Has no right to be this clean, but somehow bathing in a volcanic hot spring every night has not left her smelling like sulfur. Needs to wash her clothes more though. Like, everyone knows Jeans can go a couple uses before washing but a week is too much. She definitely has multiple sets of clothes as well, she just likes the one outfit too much.

Karkat: Karkat is Schrödinger’s troll when it comes to personal hygiene. He’s either a horrible, terrible wreck who showers once a week and smell tests most of his clothes, OR he’s painfully fastidious to the point of OCD. Because in Alternia’s caste based society, kinda like GATACA, he has to be careful not to leave scraps of DNA around. No stray hairs, no shed skin, and definitely no blood. In the latter case he showers twice daily at LEAST.

Terezi: Terezi has never been seen in or near a shower, bath, or other ablution apparatus. She is nevertheless like, surprisingly clean. It’s not a PRETTY clean, but she’s definitely not dirty. If you sniff hard enough you might suspect she stole Sollux’s shampoo. She has been spotted eating a bath bomb.

Vriska: Vriska jumps or dunks into a body of water and calls that bathing. She’s never heard of a “““8rush”““, wh8tever that is, and she has and will flick boogers at people she dislikes. In spite of this she has been observed to perform a flawless personal beauty routine when the occasion calls for it at least once.

Equius: No amount of bathing can help this man. All he has is towels, hope, and a growing crust of salt crystals. They say some ancient musclebeast once sweated Alternia’s oceans, and Equius seems to be rivaling that mythic feat.

Gamzee: This man eats showerheads.

Eridan: He bathes in seawater and pretends it’s, like, some kind of vegan thing. Owns at least 3 “rich people showers” that are like upsettingly open and exposed.

Feferi: Feferi has the exact same bathing habits as Aradia except she unwraps bath bombs a mile underwater and lets the particles collect in a tub, then sits in it until it collects in her hair like that one cat that rolled in the glitter residue of a bath bomb. She does cold baths/showers exclusively and uses about 10 candles every time. These are multi-hour affairs. There is wine. There is one phone playing P!nk and Lady Gaga. There is another phone with which she takes instagram pictures. There is a third phone for scrolling tumblr and talking to people. No she doesn’t have a problem.

I prefer cats to dogs because they are not as energetic most of the time, but it really depends on the personality of each.

Dream trip: idk, but both England and Canada were nice when I went. I’d like to return sometime

But, seeing those he loves in serious pain such as near death after battles is something which could get tears flowing - to watch those who he cares for on a deathbed, considering he is rather selective onto who he loves rather than likes.But.. I mean, when drunk, many things can make him cry.. kittens, puppies, humour, getting gifts. 

☕️ - Hot or cold beverage?Cold. Growing up in Rivain, yes, there were indulgent moments where they could just get hot cocoa and sublime coffee, but nothing really battled the scorching sun like a cool beverage. Now; such is mainly in the form of wines or beers, however. And no kind of alcohol is good warm. None.

🎨 - Hobbies?Besides fighting and card games? (which he is a cheat in, by the way. Don’t bet money on such.) The elf has many hobbies and talents! Both the brothers are singers and dancers, a gift naturally at birth which they used to raise morale often in camp, on ships, scouting. They enjoy yoga, it helps keep the reaver inside of him tame when just walking around, it lets him tune out the bad news they hear often, or the snarky comments about his ears, or being a tall elf etc etc.

🐍 - Choice of pet?CATS. Eridan has 2 which he had adopted on his own good will within skyhold, but he is not limited to those two. At night, he often keeps his balcony window open to let strays in to avoid the cold which skyhold has. Just bowls of milk and water for those which find their place there as well as cat food.
