My Project Org Editor 2024 Round 6 AMV/MMV!

I edited a Detective Conan video for every preliminary round of POE, but it took until this final round to finally make a blorbo AMV (something I'd been meaning to do since Round 3, but I somehow always ended up with another idea instead). With the theme of "Aliens, Time-Travelers, and Espers," and the goal being to edit a video focused on the "bizarre and supernatural," I knew I couldn't not follow through with a Heiji fancam, given all his "monster" cases.

(And hey, maybe there's also something a bit "supernatural" about Shinichi's predicament as Conan, too—and Heiji is always there to help him with that.)

POE is a timed challenge with only one week per theme, so on and off the last few months, I continued working on this AMV, trying desperately to turn the mess I submitted into something I'm actually proud of. And I think I succeeded! I hope this is a huge improvement, and I'm very excited to finally share my polished-up rendition.

New Enhanced Edition - Fangoria 2008 with Jared

My latest video is up. This was at Fangoria in Austin, TX in January 2008.

Footage Found/Recovered

My video is a little over 42 minutes long. There's uninterrupted coverage from the beginning of the panel up until 39.5 minutes in. After that, there are two gaps of unknown length that I couldn't fill.

Jewels667 on YouTube had 38 minutes' worth of great coverage for this event, but the videos had become private. (In 2021, YouTube automatically changed unlisted videos to private, so that might be what happened here.) I was able to make contact and they kindly made the videos public again, and granted me permission to use them for this project. I used 20.5 minutes' worth of their video and 31.5 minutes' worth of their audio. They had 3 minutes and 46 seconds of coverage that none of the other videos had and some of the better-quality audio. The videos have thousands of views, so a lot of you may have seen them before, but they were new to me and I was very excited about them.

@j2spntranscripts, who has incredible video-finding skills, also found two videos with 21 minutes' worth of coverage on DailyMotion that I hadn't run across myself. I didn't use a lot of content from them, but I did use a few minutes and it was very helpful to have another audio source to listen to when refining my subtitles. You can find the links on the aforementioned blog, or in the credits on my video description.

Audio

Jared called on fans in the audience to ask questions, and they didn't have mics, so they're usually very hard to hear. I determined which video source picked up the fan question the most clearly and included that in the audio. If it wasn't clearly audible in its original form, I increased the volume drastically and added some background noise suppression tools to try to make it as clear as possible. It helps a little, but there are still some fans who are nearly impossible to make out. You'll notice more audio fluctuations in this video than usual (mostly just when the fans are speaking) due to my sometimes-drastic audio manipulations to try to hear the fans.

What's Next?

I'm moving on to the Los Angeles convention from March 2008 next! While searching for more videos from this convention, I learned through an old post on LiveJournal that a fan going by the name of Candygramme had recorded some great videos from this event that aren't on YouTube. I was able to make contact and she generously sent me everything she had, so I'm excited to share them. The biggest treasure is the full video of the main J2 panel. She also caught about half of Jensen's solo panel and 4.5 minutes of the Breakfast. Her video quality was much better than the other videos I've found from this con.

For the parts of the panels not covered by her videos, the video quality will be very low and I expect there to be some large and frustrating gaps in Jared's solo panel. But the existing YouTube coverage of this con is limited and pretty difficult to watch, so I'm excited to put together something more coherent than what we have today, and I'm especially excited about the footage from Candygramme that newer fans have likely not seen.

The Fangoria videos didn't upscale, and the original colors weren't too bad, so you won't see a big improvement in video quality on this one.

A recap for anyone not familiar with this project…

In December 2023, I started a project to enhance old convention videos. The project is mostly focused on Jared and Jensen, but there will occasionally be videos with other actors. I'm upscaling the videos and making other visual improvements, adding extra content to clarify various references, and adding human-generated, color-coded subtitles so you can better understand the sometimes-chaotic audio. The subtitles can be auto-translated to other languages via YouTube.

My goal is to publish the best, most complete, and most watchable versions of these older convention panels yet seen, but this is only possible thanks to the fans who captured the footage in the first place and were generous enough to share it with other fans. My video descriptions on YouTube will always credit my sources.

If you have any old convention videos you'd be willing to contribute to this project, please message me! I can also be reached at DetailTilted@gmail.com. If I can get them to upscale (I can't always), I'd happily send the upscaled files back to you for your own collection whether I use them or not.

Becky and Joe walked on stage wearing sunglasses and red leather jackets and threw 3 of the trio plushies into the crowd. didn't get one unfortunately but it's really cool some people got free plushies :)

they made this robot child called the Inspiration Child, who's clearly meant to be a nod to ai (can learn from our show and generate it's own content!)

they explained how they met (and had some dodgy animated retelling), and how they started with small projects like commercials and music videos, until they came up with designs of the trio (and a mysterious fourth fella)

they made the designs first, then made the set, then the song and finally wrote the script for creativity. red guy was just a red mop head with legs at first ("alien squid thing") but Joe put the red guy head on for shits and giggles once and Becky thought it was hilarious so they kept it in the show

they were really not expecting it to blow up, and when Sundance called because they wanted to show creativity Becky thought it was a scam caller lol

they talked about the kickstarter and the credit card fraud kid. the mailed him saying "hey maybe dont do that" but the kid didnt know how to undo it cuz he just found a website full of credit card information and went ham, so Becky and Joe had to contact kickstarter because people were pulling out of the funding because they thought the project was overfunded (kickstarter was very difficult to contact)

they also made (lighthearted) fun of nsfw fluffybird art ((no padlock 😔) "using OUR characters to act out their SICK FANTASIES" - Becky) and theorists, especially because most if not all of the webseries is just them fucking around.

Inspiration Child also says something along the lines of "wow what a cool show with a great message of how corrupt the media is. I hate the media!"

Becky and Joe had these rules to make the show as vague as possible (no pop culture references, no names, no swearing and way too much detail put into small things)(the duck guy drag queen absolutely obliterates the no swearing rule lol)

they talk about the pilot, how they focused too much on the story because they felt like they had to due to it being on the big screen now, and how it ended up ruining the atmosphere and such of the pilot. they did show the entire thing sped up but my phone sucks ass so I could not get it to focus correctly. I'll see what I can salvage so you people can dissect frames of your blorbo you're Legally Not Allowed To See (which is also the official reason we don't get the pilot)

also pilot concept art showed that Mean Steve is in fact just called Key

they showed a whole post-it wall full of ideas for the tv show. don't know how much I got on footage, but what stood out most to me were 2 episodes called Money and Christmas. Joe mentioned "clock in a wheelchair" specifically

also really fun fact. Becky made the Lesley suit during covid, and pretty much threatened Baker into writing a human character into the show to wear it. concept art also shows Lesley with a mask made out of the same fabric, don't know if this was part of the original suit tho

they showed Warrens old models (?). he was gonna be a wayy more ugly looking silicone pug-worm thing y'all got lucky with the bald fuck

lily and todney were directly based off of some cancelled show about two porcelain doll children with panda parents. do not for the life of me remember what it was called but Becky and Joe were very enthousiastic about it (UPDATE: Candy and Andy!)

Ghost Story Roundtable Reading video!

Here is the recording of our Roundtable Reading of Ghost Story: a new musical with Musical Theatre Factory!

This is the first table read of a script in development, and the actors’ first time reading through the whole script out loud, so please turn on subtitles to follow along with the dialogue!

Ghost Story is a supernatural western romance musical written by Mel Hornyak (book/lyrics) and Elliot Valentine (book/music). When a gay couple spends the summer in Montana, they haunt and are haunted by two cowboy lovers who lived there a hundred years earlier. Amid mountain wildfires, sun-bleached bones, and the timeless desire to rewrite history, this introspective chamber musical explores queer ancestry, immigrant identity, and masculinity in the American West.

Also, because it is a cold read, this video is unlisted, not public -- that being said, feel free to use screenshots/create fan work/make edits etc. as usual! The only big difference between this video and the Montana concert is this one isn't searchable on YouTube/Google/etc., so you'll have to hold on to this link to access it/share the link directly with friends if you want.

Hi, I saw your post on fat body mods for BG3. Do you happen to know any head mods to match? Most of the mods I've found are for body types 1 and 2, not 3 and 4

So the fun thing with this ask, is basically no one makes Fat Heads, we can have Fat Bitches as long as they have a jawline it seems.

So! I have dug through every head mod on Nexus and have collected Heads with softest features I could Find!!!! I will include their compatible body types, as well as the specific names of each head. The vast majority of softer heads are either made for the smaller races or just Fem presenting, I will do my best to include Masc heads.

I feel like I haven't really seen any damangela art (but if anyone wants to self promote I want to see lol), but I can give you some of my fav fics and compilations!

For compilations, @guessitrunsinthegenes is the GOAT for damangela compilations. Seriously go check out eir youtube channel! His stuff is so great! Also as an og damangela fan, I feel like I need to link this don't win Mario party livestream compilation. I remember when this was just an unlisted video like this is such an important part of our history I feel like lmao. The Angela rubbing Damien's ear moment was the ONE thing that kept me delusional and kinda shipping them for the longest time (not in a "they're actually secretly dating" kind of way but like it was the one thing that was a kinda shippy moment for a while iykwim).

There are probably so many smosh videos with Damien and Angela moments and if I actually put more than 5 seconds of thought into it, I could probably list like 15 videos here, but two of my favorite videos that I thought of off the top of my head are the You Posted That and that one off Betrayal video!

Me and @kirschface found some Longlegs things recently! Footage below provided by them.

To summarize, there are ? two ? Versions of Fire Fire Fire, Hiss.

Things to note about this video that we discovered:

- I don't have photo evidence of this one but the song video used to have the name of Dale's band in it, Sister Destroyer, but must have been edited sometime afterwards. This is based on memory but I've heard others say the same.

- The one with the altered thumbnail cannot be found on the Neon channel if you go to it, maybe it was unlisted from the channel?

- The comments and view count are exactly the same

So for what else we found:

- The thumbnail image of the video is from the number generator scene with Lee + the images flashing onscreen. The thumbnail image is called "Mother" by Lee in the movie.

- In the video, THREE images flash onscreen for a second each.

- TABLE appears first, which is something we see in the film during the number generator scene.

- second is THIS image

Which is not shown in the film, nor can we find the meaning of it ( so far )

- Third is THIS image

Also not shown in the film.

I have my theories plus my insane scribbles below of all of the images we DO know + the ones we don't. ( sorry I didn't colour them in )

The three squares image maybe could mean FAMILY. The colours yellow and blue are in the MOTHER image together, which could be Lee and Ruth. Maybe in the three squares image, the yellow or blue square could be Ruth or Lee and the red one is Dale?

The other image with the yellow triangle really is a mystery as I have no idea what that could mean. Triangle is shown ( a white one ) in the FATHER image. Maybe this yellow triangle could be Lee's real father and the image is about that somehow? Not sure.

Possible meaning could be something to do with a family dinner, but that still leaves the triangle unanswered. What do you guys think?

Hi Abi!

I was watching your video on Nebula to get the non censored version, and once again, the subtitles felt like they are auto-generated, which makes it harder for me to engage. I know that the YouTube subtitles are much better (they are honestly pretty great), but it is rather frustrating that this is a trade-off that even exist.

I remember you have been asked about this before, and I know it's a problem with videos on Nebula in general (and I did send them a letter today), but is there anything you can do, so we won't have to choose between the uncensored version and accessibility?

At the moment there's nothing I can do besides bug them about it, which I do every time I upload. They tell me they're working on it but apparently it's actually quite difficult to create a system whereby creators can upload and then customise our own subtitles.

The way it works for YouTube is - I upload the video and then send an unlisted link to a subtitling service. I pay them a lot of money and they send me back a .srt file with the subtitles precisely timed to the video. I then upload that .srt file to YouTube, where I can customise it by correcting misspellings and adding the jokes and commentary over the credits.

But Nebula has no facility to add a subtitle file and then customise it. I can't send them the .srt file I get from the subtitling service because it's timed to the YouTube version and it'd be out of sync and incorrect when displayed under the Nebula version. I can't pay the subtitling service to create a second .srt file for the Nebula version because A) Nebula is paywalled so the service can't be linked to it, and B) that would double the cost of what is already a very expensive part of the process. I also can't even just write the .srt file myself and save the money because there's no facility to do that in the Nebula Uploader.

The ideal scenario is I upload the YouTube version's .srt file and then edit it myself to fit the Nebula version - basically the same way it works on YouTube - but apparently that requires a system that's currently not in place and extremely difficult to build.

I'm looking into some way I can maybe get the subtitling service to create two versions of the .srt file - one for Nebula and one for YouTube - but that'll double the cost on my end so I need to look at the budget.

Hi folks! I'm not really active on here much anymore, and probably won't be for the foreseeable future bc my chronic illness is kicking my ass, but I wanted to clear my cache of old content, so I edited all my Tumblr snz clips into two videos for easy viewing! One is all stifled sneezes, the other is all non-stifled sneezes.

As they are both unlisted on YouTube, please do not save to public playlists as I'd like to keep them within the snzblr community and not YouTube at large. Along these same lines, I also ended up deleting / privating most of my old YouTube content, as I started to feel weird about having it widely available for anyone to see. If we're snzblr friends and you want access to the few videos that I didn't delete, I'm happy to share links, but please don't inquire if we don't know each other.

I love this community and may pop in again from time to time, but at this time I need to prioritize my health and I don't have many spoons leftover for making content anymore.

Rejected a guy and since he was blocked on my discord he started leaving tons of negative comments on my very small YouTube channel, including the first three digits of my home address, and also antisemitic rambling about the makeup industry from an alt account.

some of these are confusing, this is because he's specifically referencing personal conversations we had about issues in my current situation because I thought he was my friend.

Now I've unlisted all my videos because I've been made to feel unsafe, all because he was moving too fast and I told him after 2 (two) weeks of talking (exclusively online mind you) that I wasn't ready to "make it official" and wouldn't promise not to speak to any other guys.

The hetero gen z dating experience is truly out of this world. I'm so fucking sick of men who think they're suddenly the victims of the world. oh god i think i made that private because i was applying to grad school and i was like well what if this is really unprofessional and they google me and find it and don't let me in 😭 i could probably make it unlisted and send a link if you ask off anon (but it might take a day or two. i did actually get into grad school and it turns out it's a lot of work). also on a couple of the videos i made the audio was really out of sync because i didn't know about fixing the frame rate yet and i don't remember whether that was one of them but fair warning the audio might suck. also also i could definitely have a more informed take on the issue now so maybe i'll do that eventually... although probably not in video form

So the latest upload in Wato's catalogue has given the fanbase a lot of questions and theories, and I'm one of those people. For those new to my shit: Welcome! I hope you like brainvomit because this is probably one of those.

Some are confused about the End Barrens V2 video, and the binary text. The binary is...very hard to translate due to Wato apparently forgetting that video compression existed, but we've gotten an answer.

"You cannot run from a dying star." Or something along the same lines.

This goes back to the themes of space, the stars and the sky in general that False!Wifies and EB!Wato really seem to like. Its unclear who exactly is running from the dying star. I have a few ideas though. But we'll get back to this. The link that was in base64, The V2 video, is an early version of the actual End Barrens video. I haven't found anything code related in the video itself, so I am assuming that this is purely a metaphorical inclusion.

The contents of the video is primarily focused on Ken and Wato's interaction, before everything goes wrong and they get separated. To me, this seems to be a memory, lost to Wato. The memory of Ken, decaying the more they try to remember it.

This seems unsurprising, but what does this have to do with the binary text, or the description of the video, "Something is still there."?

When Wato leaves the End Barrens, they left alone. No Ken, no Wifies. Its left vague on what actually happened to Ken, its something that Wato refuses to confront the idea of. Wifies attempts to bring Wato to questioning this, but there's no actual answer.

Considering players cannot die permanently in the video, they just come back to spawn, but Ken never comes back to spawn...

They're still in the End Barrens. The memory of Ken, and Ken themself is still there.

But who runs from the dying star? There's a few possibilities of who or what the dying star is, or who runs from it, and I'll fire two that I think are strong contenders.

Ken is running from the dying star (e.g their own demise, the concept of it being possible to get out of the end barrens, Wato, or something else.) Ken seems pretty obvious, considering that the video is centered around him and Wato, but 'something' doesn't explicitly imply a person? Perhaps something isn't Ken himself, but the idea of Ken? A dying star possibly signaling the end of the concept of Ken, and thus they run from it, the same way Wifies avoided ruining the illusion of a friend for Wato? Another possibility is Wato running from a dying star (e.g dying servers, barren/desolate worlds, a decaying memory that they refuse to acknowledge to preserve it forever. Or something else.)

Wato is a person that doesn't like being trapped (much like Ken), they constantly try to escape or find a way out of situations. This isn't entirely out of the realm of possibility either, since Wato is the main protagonist of the series and is constantly running away from the inevitable decay of their mental state or the state of places. They would try to outrun a dying star. It could also mean absolutely nothing. Joking, of course.
