Day 282

Got up around noon, ate some of Adrian’s meat loaf and leftover mexican, watched some vids and took a 1 hr nap at 2. Showered, did laundry, and then went out around 4 to the mall. I haven’t had black jeans in awhile since they ripped so I went to look around, first stop was H&M which they had a pair for $20 but I wanted something different cause they only last a year maybe. So my original next stop was gonna be aeropostal cause madison told me they had BOGO but I saw Adam on the way and I told him my plan and he recommended Hollister cause he’s had his for 3 years and they still look good. So we went there together and he showed me and I was pretty content with his decision. I did want to look at other’s though so I wanted to try JCPenny cause I saw Josh Whittle’s new Levi’s but Adam told me they do fade. Still wanted to check anyway and on the way back I stopped by aero and wasn’t happy with their selection and then I made a quick pit stop to Vans where I saw Olivia and MJ lmao and we talked for a tiny bit. I then went to JCPenny and wasn’t really happy with that either and it was around 5 so I just left and will get tomorrow. I was figuring out plans for Jonas Bro’s tonight and I was trying to convince Madison to come and we found out it was like $50 after fees for tickets online when it’s $30 before, so I offered to go there and get some. Oh yeah Jonita called me earlier and asked if I was going and we decided to, I was originally not going to cause I didn’t have anyone and now I did so yeah. But I went to amp after, and security guard stopped me cause I forgot my vax card. So yeah fun I went back home and then Madison was finally done with core at 6 so I got ready and then picked her up. After picking her up we went to pickup Jonita and Joshua at her mom’s and then we went back to amp. Waited in line for quite a bit but we got in and then got a lawn ticket for Madison. She paid $40 which is still cheaper than online so it worked out. We then went searching for spots since they were filled and found one towards the middle back. We sat and the opening act Jordan McGraw was already playing. After him it was this girl named Kelsea Ballerini which I had no idea who either of them were so yeah fun. I got a Yuengling somewhere in there and also ended up seeing Renzo and Nikki came to say hi which I went over to her group and said hi to Alisa for a bit. But yeah Jonas Brothers came on and it was pretty good. I knew some songs but just didn’t know the lyrics and they played some oldies. I’ll put the link to the setlist here and yeah we left after 2nd chorus of last song. I also went to the bathroom during their set and Madison and I almost debated going to the front cause we were talking to MayMay the whole time and she was trying to get us to move up there by just showing a screenshot of her ticket but we didn’t want to risk it. But yeah it wasn’t bad leaving thankfully and I dropped the couple off (OH YEAH THEY’RE ENGAGED NOW WHAT THE FUCK) and then took Madison home. I went home, ate rest of meatloaf and a hot pocket and now i’m here. It’s 1257 and man I AM TIRED

Time for a long post about my life

Oh boy it’s time my friends, tumblr is normally about shitposting but now is the time for serious stuff so put down ya maymays and get ready to be B O R E D.

Yeah so in the last month my work and social lives have kinda drastically changed. It turned out one of my ex friends is an inexcusably terrible person and that I had been excusing his complete disrespect for women (and anyone else including myself) by justifying that it was just how this guy was. I guess because he was one of my first long term friends from secondary school it blinded me to his behaviour. The kicker is even though I think he is an awful person now I still feel guilty and worry about if he’s okay. He doesn’t deserve this worry but it’s just my default attitude I guess. I guess one of the positives is that the group I’ve been with feels ultimately better off for not having him around, there are less inflammatory/controversial/edgy comments which would in the past piss people off to gigantic levels (e.g depression is a weakness, various intolerant/elitist statements etc). Also feel guilty for not cutting him out when I knew about what he did and just pretending nothing happened, letting my girlfriend and him hang around in the same room, letting him buy us food and stuff in an effort to manipulate us to his side… ultimately this guy is scum and I’m overall glad he’s out of my life, I just think I need a bit of time to truly get over that he is that person.

ONTO WORK. So I work at a vegan/vegetarian café as a kitchen porter and it used to be a pretty alright job, basically wash stuff and then bus it back to the relevant places. But our boss hired this head chef a month ago to replace a pretty good chef who left, and things have drastically changed mostly regarding my work load. Now I have to take all the bins out by 5, which is a fairly reasonable demand in a usual restaurant environment because porters usually have not much to do. Except hold on, maybe the cafe he working at isn’t a restaurant but a CAFE. He fails to understand that as well as wash the kitchen stuff I also need to wash everything from upstairs including glasses and cups. Which in the day time is a massive focus for me. But hey that’s fine I eventually adapted and even though I’m not getting everything done I find splice that any other porter couldn’t do it either.

But more shit has been happening recently that has kinda fucked with the whole cafe rather than just me. The head chef is ultra sensitive but also a low key bully (imitates me saying behind when I’m behind someone in the kitchen). When you call him out for it he gets really sensitive and starts complimenting the shit out of you to try and get you back in his favour. He has also been acting like a brat in the kitchen himself, only sticking to preparing the layout of the dishes and minor prep work( once during a hectic Saturday he started slowly chopping carrots in the corner for no reason). For all those reasons the other chefs aren’t too fond of him and argue with him a lot, but he always demands respect despite being a lazy prick.

There’s also massive issues with management. The Front of house manager is one of those people who constantly reads self help books and praises people like Jim Rohn and Tai Lopez. He thinks he’s good at his job and for some of it yeah he is he’s a great waiter definitely. But his managerial skills are awful truly. Yesterday he told all of the part time waitresses that he would be firing them in two weeks, of which some of them had been working at the cafe for a good year or two. He wants 4 waitresses for the whole week working full time, an idea I find so fucking awful. The waitresses are gonna be massively overworked and the quality of the work will definitely drop. The guy is also not massively fluent with English and so sometimes does not understand anything you are saying, and vice Versa. We had an hour meeting to discuss how to make things better, and it just ended up as a broken English pep talk that really didn’t create any worth while changes.

The waitress firing situation has just opened my eyes to how incompetent the owner is too, he must know this is massively dodgy and could get him in a lot of trouble. Not to mention that he lets his dog defecate outside my work room.

I guess a positive from this is the solidarity everyone has had with the first waitress who was fired, talks of opening up a restaurant, moving all of us to different rival vegan restaurants and just being there for each other. All the employees know it’s a shit show at the moment and it helps to know it.

But yeah that’s my life at the moment, needless to say it is effecting my mood, very glad I have a lot of friends to hang out with cause it helps so much. I have felt so isolated and alone for a good month due to long distance relationship with my gf and friends. It feels like my whole life is somewhere else and I haven’t done enough to go out and join them. Living at home can be hard but it’s mostly good. There are also a lot of problems regarding what I think I identify as both sexually and just in general. More and more I feel isolated by general mainstream attitudes in both pop culture and politics. Feeling like a hermit in terms of thought lmao.

But yeah that’s all there is to it really haha. If you read this and know me I’m sorry I’m not as open as I should be. Bazinga
