megumi’s gaze lingered on you as you stood in front of him, wearing your short black dress. his brow furrowed slightly, the protective instinct in him kicking in.
"what are you wearing?" he asked, his voice laced with concern.
you raised an eyebrow, nonchalantly adjusting the dress. "i'm going out with my girlfriends," you replied.
he didn’t seem satisfied with that answer. "that’s not what i asked," he said, crossing the room to grab his oversized jacket. without another word, he flung it over your shoulders, his fingers lingering on the fabric for a moment longer than necessary.
"it’s pretty cold outside," he added, his tone firm. "you’ll catch something."
you gave him a skeptical look, shrugging lightly. "come on, it’s a hundred degrees outside."
he crossed his arms, an unamused look on his face. "that’s no excuse, miss," he said, his voice soft but stern. "i don’t want creeps staring at my pretty girl."
you couldn’t help but smile at his protectiveness. "fine, fine, I’ll cover up," you relented, adjusting the jacket around your shoulders.
a satisfied smile tugged at his lips. "good," he said, before pulling you in for a quick, affectionate kiss. "i don’t share."
